  1. That really is awesome, best of luck. I'll be rooting for you!
  2. I would like to throw these two titles out there: Wickerman Troll 2
  3. http://img600.imageshack.us/img600/8531/sartrevsliddel.png I'm excited about this one, so I thought to myself "why not make a poll?" So, let me know what you all think. Who will come out on top this Saturday at Blitz: Rio 99? Personally, I think Sartre is going to be the first fighter to KO Liddel. Edit: I just noticed a typo in the topic title. It should say "Tota Liddel," not "Total."
  4. I like that in his last fight he was rocked just by going into the clinch. And damn, that is a lot of losses due to KO(Slam).

Okay, I'm going to admit that you seem to know more about this than I do. So I'm going to defer to your expertise. However, I still find the claim that this particular guy passed a lie detector test unconvincing.

Well, his story does seem to check out...

I won't pretend to be some kind of lie detector expert, since I actually know relatively little about modern advances in the technology. But they still are not admissible in court, and that is because their accuracy is questionable. And it is true that they are employed more as an interrogation technique rather than an actual "fact finding" machine. And as far as I understood it, the lie detector test that was being referred to would have been conducted on an older model of lie detector. But I may be wrong about that. And I have to agree, the claim that his background was wiped does sound a little too convenient.
  8. I definitely agree with this one. And I'm saying that in a completely non self-serving way

I have to agree. Lie detectors are completely useless. And it is actually fairly simple to pass one if you know what to do. Penn and Teller did an episode of Bullshit that explains a very easy method for fooling a lie a detector. Lie detectors don't detect lies, they measure a variety of biochemical responses, and as such can easily be fooled into giving false results. There is a reason lie detectors are not admissible in court, they prove absolutely nothing.
  10. Thank you all again for the official nomination! It is an honour just to be on the list
  11. If this were true, which it isn't, it would be because of people like you that this child would be abused. Do you know anyone who has been raised by same sex couples? I do, and their lives have been nothing like you described. I have to agree with TrueFayth, you are a bigot. And you are also woefully ignorant about politics.
  12. Not exactly. Intelligence and learning speed are separate hiddens. You can have an extremely intelligent fighter who learns very slowly.
  13. Yes, by stamina I'm referring to energy. Don't let that dip too low. Also, for new fighters it's a good idea to train their stamina up by doing cardio sessions with a stamina supplement. Once your fighter is around the superb/remarkable level for cardio you can all week with only one rest session. You can also do general circuit training to raise your cardio because this gives a boost to all your physical skills. There are a couple of ways to see the precise numerical value, but it really isn't that important. Just make sure that bar is always near full. And always fight with 100% energy.
  14. I wouldn't say that, but it definitely helps.
  15. I wouldn't recommend that either.
  16. Welcome to the game! When you say "skill progression chart," I'm assuming you are referring to the "skill maintenance chart" (the last icon, above the vip bar). This chart actually doesn't tell you anything about how your skills are progressing, instead it is there to keep track of which skills are degrading and need maintenance (wiki). This really won't be a factor for you until your fighters are more developed, at lower levels skills don't really need maintaining. The quickest way to improve in boxing is to enter into boxing sparring sessions at whatever gym your fighters are training at. But remember, if yours is the only fighter in the sparring session there will be no benefit. Training in punch technique and strike defense offers greater gains in those particular secondary skills and will also improve your primary boxing skill, but at slower rate than boxing sparring sessions with good sparring partners. The inverse is also true, sparring in boxing gives you greater gains in your primary boxing skill, and smaller gains in your punching and strike defense secondary skills. If you keep training you will see your fighter's skills progress. Just remember to keep his stamina high in order to get the most out of training. Never, ever train with less than 80% stamina, personally, I hardly ever let my fighters go below 94%.
  17. The only problem I have with this idea is that it gives a definite in game advantage to paying players. I have been a VIP for a long time now and I love it, but if we start handing boosts to primaries, secondaries or hiddens for players willing to pay for it, I feel that it sets a bad precedent. I like the idea of cornermen and coaches in theory, but I don't want to feel forced to buy even more slots just to compete.
  18. Rick Santorum is an asshole.
