I Duno Brain. Admittedly I can only remember seeing 5-6 Chael fights but his gameplan duznt appear to change. Brawl till he closes the distance then hold on for dear life till TD. He's quicc but Jones isn't slow. And Chael looked tiny compared to Anderson. Jones is gona dwarf him. Chael has good boxing technique wise but his movement in stand up is real stiff and awkward looking. I've never seen him try to angle in on sumone. Pretty much just start swinging and grab ahold of sumthing. Jones length has made even high level strikers freeze up and become stagnant. I'm not sure he can close the distance on JBJ, and even if he can I Duno if he'll have the size to pose a threat. I guess well see how much lean muscle he can put on before the fight, and how it effects his quiccness. All that said tho, Ill be rooting for Chael. I can not bear to watch a season of tuf that's basically being made to get Jones over with the fans. Can't imagine the recycled bullshit Jon is gona be saying. "I dunno why Chael dislikes me. I'm like the nicest Guy ever. Really. I'm always doing nice things. Just ask my brothers or Greg. I'm seriously the nicest Guy any of them has ever met. I go high SHIG with my guys outta the gate. And if they don't react right. Cut. I have pretty decent lucc with int rolls tho. In the past I've had guys who I had set to 10% kiccs go out and leg kicc a Guy a couple times and like the way it felt, then body kicc, head kicc KO without throwing any punches. But at sum point it felt like sumthing changed. Or maybe other pieces of the engine changed so much it altered SHIGs effectiveness. It really doesn't seem to do much to alter the gameplan anymore. On the flipside tho I picced a couple free agents up recently and they were both set to 100% Follow orders and I took them to like 30% SHIG and they both got mollywhopped.

I would think if they went to the trouble of planning it, it woulda been, like, funny, or entertaining? It wuz just sad. People can say he planned that and he puts too much effort into trying to make everyone think he's off, but that duzn't make it any less a cry for help. Ya difference in speed sparring with boxing gloves and grappling gloves is a killer. We go pretty hard with big gloves wen prepping sumone for a match or tourney, but shit man it takes almost nothing to hurt sumone with grappling gloves if you have a semblance of technique. He looked like he may have never really gone with 4 0z'ers before. Or coulda been wut Brain said. Other guys hand speed mighta shook him.

I Duno man. That didn't look like showboating to me. Maybe up until the first exchange where he got grilled with a straight.. but after that it looked like a Guy who wuz trying not to trade. Like you said he wuznt trying to hit Bigfoot with that shit, just keep him at a distance. How many time have we seen sumone come out throwing several ridiculous techniques frum way outta range with no setup, then here Joe say, "You know Fighter A has really been working on his stand up." Then 5-10 seconds later fighter A is looking up at the ceiling asking Herb Dean wtf happened. Those looked like keep away strikes to me. Coulda been nerves frum his first headline, coulda been eating that first straight, maybe Silva having the reach advantage shook him. That can often be polarizing for sumone who always enjoys a 2-3 inch reach advantage... but he looked timid for sum reason.

Finally watched it. After the comments here I wuz expecting a lot worse. His skills are obviously rudimentary, ESP stand up, but he showed sum positive things. He reacts to getting hit a lot better than Brock duz. Looked like he wuz expecting the stand up to be at sparring pace and got a rude awakening.

Also I hope we get enuff people. Xiomars in no matter wut, but it would tarnish sum of the shine if the coaches are allowed to put their own fighters in.
