    Interim Champ

I think interim belts would be a pretty pointless addition, since we have neither long term injuries nor non-exclusive contracts in the game.
  2. The current opponent ranking is useless, and could be scrapped outright for all I care, but creating a metric that is both objective and meaningful is hard. Just going by fighter points doesn't cut it, because the guy working the sliders always has a very big influence. I also don't like the idea of revealing the fighter's total skill points either.
  3. If your fighter is at a high level in one primary skill I'd say it's pretty much not worth it to do public sparring, focus on something else instead until you can get quality sparring. How fast skills improve depends on the fighter's age, learning ability, coach skill, class size, skill of other fighters in the session. Best way to train speed is circuit training, after that I'd say doing wrestling related training, and if you start with very low speed you might see a couple pops in speed from training strength.

    Pull Guard

Don't do that. Let the question stay so other people can read both question and answer and learn from it. If you're not gonna do that then ask in chat or PM someone instead.
  5. I'd say it's very unlikely that the average of a big sparring session is better than that, so go for one on one sparring in that case.
  6. Did you set any odds before checking for the link? I don't think bookies without any events up show up.
  7. If I wanted to build a sprawl and brawler I would aim for 110 wrestling and tdd.
  8. Here's your problem. Don't fear small sparring sessions. Big sessions aren't better, they're just more likely to be average quality.
  9. It doesn't. But posted sparring times are just recommendations anyway, you can sparr whenever you like, all you need is one more fighter. Most gyms have some sparring going in a whole lot of slots.
  10. True, but irrelevant. In poker random events are only part of the game. Maybe I should have said not only gambling on completely random events, for clarity. You win in poker by being better than other people at poker. The expected outcome on Hi/Lo is money back, or fraction of a percent wins/losses. You get a big chance, you take it, 9 times out of 10 you lose a little, 1 in 10 you win big, in the end you come out even, that's it in a nutshell. (That's in the long term though, in the short term you can see big swings either way obviously, but a system doesn't help.)
  11. The potential advantage of the house is based on the odds set, not the fact that you can't choose one possible outcome. It's not at all like in poker. In poker you are not gambling on the outcomes of completely random events. In Hi/Lo you are. The following is true for all games of pure chance (including Hi/Lo): Look at odds paid * chance of winning. If it's <1 it's a bad bet, if it's >1 it's a good bet. Can you win at Hi/Lo? Yes, by luck, but not by a system, the odds don't allow it, the odds are too close to even, best of your examples is 1.0032, meaning if you pick that choice you could on average expect a 0.32% return on your "investment". In the example in the original post high and cash out are equally good choices. Low is very slightly worse, offering a -0.24% ROI.
  12. 1. Having back to back sparring for the same fighter is not good. But having back to back available sparring sessions means more options for your training. Eg, maybe you want/need to train something else when there is a morning sparring session available. Then it's good for you that you can sparr in the evening the same day instead. 2. If you're in the gym, you can speak your mind in the gym chatbox, or via pm to the owner.
  13. No, cardio doesn't show up in that example because the threshold to show "cardio machine" is sensational. http://www.mmatycoon.com/fightcommentary.php?FTID=77117 - Khan had sensational cardio, and exceptional strength at this point.
  14. The thing is, since strength isn't a hidden the question "Does this mean his KO power (or whatever that hidden is) is higher than exceptional?" doesn't make much sense anymore. Since "the hidden" in this case is strength the question becomes: "Does this mean his strength is higher than exceptional?" And the answer to that is: just look at your fighter's strength.

    gsp build?

I'd say a GSP would look something like this: http://www.mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilemanager.php?FID=42332 but start with wonderful wrestling, and grind it as high as possible.
  16. You're trying to figure out your own fighter's strength level based on his TotT?
  17. I think minimum cardio needed to get cardio machine to show up in TotT is sensational.
  18. Will it be so that a low energy (<50%?) fighter isn't counted in the average, like someone suggested (which cuts the usefulness of sparring bots somewhat), or will they actually bring the effectiveness of the session down for everyone (which screws over any gym with low-energy inactives in the sessions, ie public gyms mainly)?
  19. I don't see why you would make a jpg when png is the better suited compression format. (Yeah, I know I'm being pedantic)
  20. If a fighter refuses to tap and gets choked out, has his arm broken, or the ref steps in to save him from (further) injury it's a technical submission. See for example: Rosholt vs Leben, Sylvia vs Mir, Aoki vs Hirota.
  21. Remarkable punches. Bug. Confirmed and fixed by Mike since then.
  22. To be pedantic PNG would be better suited than JPG
  23. Yep, Emile Hainesburg used to have <70 boing/mt and had BRH on TotT in his first fight. He's got Brawler+BRH, which confirms it was <70. It's worth pointing out that TotT was a little wonky back in the day, so if some ancient fights seem to contradict more recent observations the old TotT might be plain wrong. (Fast would show up if you had KO Power, Good Elbows showed up on one of my fighters who had crappy elbows, there might have been others.)
  24. IRL submission to strikes counts as a sub. In the game though a sub by strikes IS a tko, it's just flavor-text.
  25. 1. Weight gain/loss supps work any time, it makes most sense to take them when resting (including sundays) since when you're resting no other supps work. 2. My experience of weight supps was a gain/drop of 1/4 to 1/3 pound or so per day, I think. 3. If 155 is his actual walking weight you can just train his cardio a bit higher to make 145. If you just meant that he currently fights at 155 (but weighs more) then I'd say the pro of going to 145 is that it will be faster, but 155 has a lot more quality competition in the long run.
