  1. Hey guys, starting another thread here to say that MMATycoon radioshow 2.0 needs writers! Now, helping out won't really pay much, if anything but I only need small write ups here and there and wont put some workload on guys so it wont be a big deal to throw down some time for me. I have multiple things that need written and i just cant do it all myself so, if I could get a few guys willing to freelance something every now and then...starting now...then we can work something out to make it worth your while. I really haven't received any donations other than from alliancemates so cash is tight, but you will be credited on-air for your work and get free advertising for any company you want. Any takers? I need help now...
  2. OSAKA NITEN ICHI, considered to be the Number 1 MMA Organization in Tokyo, once again brings you another must see event, in cooperation with Smashwear Clothing - Tokyo , Koffin Inc. - London , Lion Clothing - London , Grappling Pro Gear - Tokyo , ONI Boxing Academy , ONI Muay Thai Academy , ONI Private Academy and ONI Grappling Academy is proud to present to you LIVE from Hayashi's Lounge on the 22nd of June 2011: ONI Fight Night Live 31 Hey there, Hi there, Ho there! Once again this is your sports analyst Tamel Moultrie Back to give you a preview, no, a pre-read to the next great ONI event. I apologize for my absence as of late, I seem to be broadcasting the MMATycoon Radioshow 2.0, and being mauled by groups of raging housewives which...Isn't so bad really. As long as they are not from Jersey or have used too much "tan in a can" for that extra orange/bronze look! Well, I have an excellent card to outline for you all! On tap are matches featuring Tokyo's top talent and displayed in Tokyo's top fighting oranization, Osaka Niten Ichi! This company has seen it's share of ups and downs, but is still the only Tokyo org. to hold a pay-per-view and after merging with ASTRAL, now is THE place to fight in Tokyo. Get your shitkickers on and laced cause it's about to go down! 265 lbs 3 Victor Anichebe v Xavier Mendez Victor Anichebe is a veteran grappler who may have lost his debut in ONI, but has bounced back with a 2 fight win streak and the determination to fight the best Tokyo has to offer. Victor likes to take guys down or pull guard and do a little submission spamming, but it seems to work for him. Xavier Mendez needs no introduction. This guy was long-time ONI heavyweight champion and is a vicious striker. At 8-3 he is still very much feared amongst the heavyweights and has the ability to end a fight at any moment. Mendez seems to have some weakness on the ground, and that is Anichebe's strong point so we do have a close fight on our hands in theory. IMO though Xavier has what it takes to survive the submission attempts and catch Victor with clean shots, ending this by KO. If only Victor can control his sub attempts and have a bit more finesse on the ground, then its bad news for the former champ. 185 lbs 3 Federico Lovalente v Carlos Rivera Lovalente in an ONI/AJFC veteran spending most of his career with the two companies. Gaining three title shots with his striking and his submissions, he is a multi-faceted fighter with no remorse for his opponent. Lovalente can make you sleepy night night with the hands or tap you out, depending on his mood. Carlos Rivera is a former Syn. fighter and a veteran of the cage. At 14-5 with 9 KOs Rivera has proven to live up to his name. C-4. Look for him to bang it out and try to avoid the ground game of Lovalente. This is a tough match for Lovalente. He is out gunned standing, and may not be able to get the takedown, unless he counters into it. All in all though I look for Rivera to be a top guy in ONI and take this fight by decision. 170 lbs 3 Matthew Emanuel v Max Power Matthew Emanuel is a striker with some impressive credentials. Wonderful across the board it seems this guy has been training quite a bit. Losing 2 fights while standing shows that his defense isn't impregnable like Mike Tyson's, but I bet he doesn't have a face tattoo or eat children. Mike Tyson is a...hold on someone is at the door... Ok sorry I'm back, and I don't want to talk about it. Mike Tyson is a legend and so is Emanuel. Max Power is a fighter who LOVES to bang it out and has some vicious kicks. No wind-up at all and WHAM! Your ears are ringing and the doctor is telling you that you are still on earth and you're not getting a win bonus. Though I would love to see a head kick knockout by Power, I think Emanuel can hold off the assault and improve to 8-3...even with the ID advantage. 155 lbs 3 Arashi Yamada v Marvin De Leon Arashi Yamada is known and loved by MMA fans in Tokyo. His last fight was a dramatic decision win against the very, very dangerous Digornio, former AJFC and ONI champion. Yamada is know to put on a fireworks-like display of TNT when he squares up, solidifying his Tokyo status. Marvin De Leon is certainly a man with taste, sporting one of Smashwear's best outfits, but I'm not here to talk about clothing. It's all about the submission with this guy. De Leon loves to take his opponents down and fight for a submission victory, but has had trouble in the past with good strikers, and he will face one here. Yamada by KO or decision. 145 lbs 3 Peppu Reiska MacDonald v Arne Weisse Peppu Reiska MacDonald is an undefeated fighter who has some impressive wrestling and some decent boxing. Able to take a KO or submission victory from the ground, Macdonald is dangerous when the fight hits the mat. I would assume his boxing prowess is in the striking defense department, because he is hard to hit and hits real hard, making a mess of fighters. Arne Weisse is another fighter coming to us from the ASTRAL merge and is looking to make a name for himself in Tokyo. Weisse is a submission grappler who takes winning seriously and loves to twist appendages with the torque of a truck. Weisse has had his share of ups and downs but is now looking to climb the ladder for a title shot eventually. This fight can go either way. Here we have a great ground and pounder against a submission specialist so, its anyones game. All in all though Weisse will need to work off his back well because he may spend some time there. I call it Macdonald's fight, but it is possible for Weisse to pull an "Anderson" and take the last minute submission. 205 lbs 3 Athrun Zala v Sam Totman Athrun Zala is an excellent ground and pounder with irresistable takedowns. In his last fight out he pulled of a major upset taking out the long-time Tokyo personality Eddie Miller. Zala has shown some excellent punching power when on the ground and an ability to bust up your face and pride. Sam Totman is a great fighter who has had some interesting wins, but does have a suspect chin. Let's hop he has him takedown defense all ready to go! Zala by dog mauling stoppage. From mount. 265 lbs 3 Elliot Ness v Too Fast Elliot Ness has been an ONI fighter since he went pro. A long-time fan favorite, Ness always puts on a great fight and heads the F.B.I. from the Capone era. Ness recently has had some bad luck with a couple losses, but is sure to bounce back like always and provide some of the nights best entertainment. Too fast is another fighter making the jump from the now defunct ASTRAL organization and seems to be a promising addition to the ONI family. His mngr recently entered some great tunes to be displayed on the next episode of the MMATycoon Radioshow 2.0. Let's hope his fight managing is as good as his vocals! Sad to say, Ness is a fan favorite and fights with the will to die just like Wanderlei Silva...so I expect him to take a decision. I could be underestimating the newcomer though. 170 lbs 3 Shigenori Iwasaki v Hideo Toyoku Shigenori Iwasaki is another fighter who has made his way to ONI via ASTRAL. He has a .500 record and some pretty good hands and takedown defense. He will be looking to strike it out in this one. Hideo Toyoku is also a former ASTRAL fighter who came to ONI last year and has had his fair share of battles. Leaning towards the ground game Touoky does have some good striking defense and is a very game opponent. With a good gameplan coming in, he may leave the arena smiling. Tough fight to call. Both have had a string of bad fights lately and both are looking for a win here. Identical primaries are the story here, but I suspect Toyoku will pull out a decision. 155 lbs 3 Duane Dibbley v Karl Veneracion Duane Dibbley is a fighter with wonderful boxing and a great submission game. He likes to stand up and avoid strikes while looking for a takedown. Once on the ground it can be a short night for a guy rolling with him. Karl Veneracion is an ONI veteran who is very good at getting the submission win. With 8 notches on his brown belt Look for ole' Karl to show once again why Tokyo loves to see him fight. I see this groundwar being a sweepfest with action moving back and forth, with Karl getting a submission or decision. 265+ lbs 3 Top Dawg v Bob Sapp Top Dawg is a long-time ONI fighter who just loves to pour on the strikes with reckless abandon and go for broke in his fights. He will be working towards a .500 record in this fight and I'm sure will see a very exciting matchup here. Bob Sapp is an ONI newcomer making his debut in this fight. Still very young, this striker has yet to hone his skills, but is a very promising prospect. Look for fireworks here...a pre-4th of jusly celebration...which only matters in America anyways! Top Dawg by veteran schooling. Well thats it for me guys! I'm glad to be back writing for ONI, tokyo's best and soon to be a global contender. I missed you guys no matter how much you didn't miss me, and I look forward to writing for ONI once more. I have been doing this here for over a year now and writing these are one of my favorite parts on this awesome game. Make sure you listen to the radioshow which you can find here... mmatycoonradio.co.nr AJFC/ONI are my home orgs which i have fought for since the beginning of both, so you can imagine how much I must talk about them on air. The show features some great tips for young fighters so go listen and maybe you will learn something, and maybe laugh as well! Thanks you all for reading and have a great fight warriors!
  3. I have a 5yr old who learned to walk at 1 and a half years old...CFL is 2 years old....can It walk yet? lol Great job on throwing a spectacular event, Bradley and Gary. Top notch management running the show over there, I look for you guys to be a global power in time. I'll be watching(reading) this event as soon as it happens so, I can't wait! OMG the main card is just a display of brutal fighting and the undercard is better than Bellator!
  4. This is something that we will keep going on because I have second to none mngrs working with me, The awesome Buster Gloves providing content, and in the end, it only took me 2 days to edit it so...Most of the work is researching what to put on the show. Glad you like it, and the next installment will begin production shortly after the 4th of july. I am still needing suggestions for future segments. feel free to comment.
  5. Ok well problem solved. I have found a group of mngrs that are willing to give their advice on sliders...anonymously. These are mngrs who I am confident can provide top quality advice, and are willing to share it with me and the rest of the tycooniverse. Please keep the suggestions coming so we can continue to provide quality content on the show.
  6. Seems the top guys dont want to share information to help the game grow at their own expense. Thats why I'm not asking that. Remember this guys...It is nice to enjoy an advantage that you have discovered on your own. Believe me, I have been there...but isn't it depressing to see the "total users" number on the login screen drop? Remember when it was over 10,000? This game needs to grow. It cannot do that without help from those who have mastered it. Otherwise you may be a master at a game that used to be online...Not like it's in dire straits or anything, but I wish it to expand as fast as the real UFC. What if you were the number one player in World Of Warcraft? Now thats a feat right? So why not Tycoon? To me, it is way more advanced than any other MMO EVER! We are lucky enough to be involved in the beginning and watch it all happen. Well, the game needs guys to step up and spread the knowledge because if noobs keep getting their asses kicked and deleting their profile who knows where this is all going to go. What I want to do is compile a few opinions from top guys, or any guys with over 100 fights with a winning record about how to beat a... -Takedown Spammer -Kick spammer - sub spammer Im not trying to match strategy to names and give up secrets...nor am I even fishing for info myself. I would just like your general opinion on how to handle certain situations. On the show I will say, "Now we have the slider fu segment. This month's contributors are. A, B, and C, three respected mngrs in the game" How do you handle a takedown spammer? "Compiled knowledge suggests to use leg kicks and stay on the outside"... or "tycoon analysts indicate countering into a clinch would negate the takedowns"...Noones name is being matched up with any certain strategy...and for that matter you dont have to give me your strategy...just A strategy that will work. I really just need the names onboard to give the segment credibility. If I dig deep enough I can get the information from other guys who will one day certainly be in the top ten...But who would pay attention. I'm giving up my secrets of the clothing industry. I was number one in the game for three months straight and once I started updating the wiki for clothing with the secrets I discovered, I dropped a little. Now there are new guys coming out of nowhere who can use the correct strategy to get to the top. Am I bitter....No I helped the game. Why should I keep secrets when its real easy to go to number one in clothing if you listen up to those who have done it. For that matter I specifically gave my name and my info and all my secrets...My bad oh well...I don't want to give a name matched to a strategy... I want 2 or 3 guys for each show to give their opinion on what to do...or at least something that works...
  7. I think those are excellent topics Buster. Seems we will get most of our material ideas from this thread so, lets hope it keeps filling up with suggestions. I am working on a slider-fu segment right now. talking to 4 of the top 10 mngrs about it. Maybe we comeup with a different fighting style to beat each time. example... A sprawl and brawler...then i would get suggestions on how to beat him with...a striker, a ground and pounder, and a ju jitsu guy. next time it could be a ground and pounder versus all the other styles. What do you think?
  8. LOL, will do Mr. Tycoon. Rape can be left out of the equation in the future...unless it's "Clinchrape" though right? lol. I can tone down language and such, I guess I never thought of younger players. And yes, the events section will be more organized in the future. I will certainly use your suggestions!
  9. mmatycoonradio.co.nr MMATycoon Radio 2.0 The first full length 70min. episode. Now taking donations for a radio rebel here, lol: http://www.mmatycoon.com/clothingpublic.php?cid=2090
  10. Well i would rather read the main card of an event and cut it to 4 fights per org, but some cards will have to be read in full length. Trying to give a voice to the little guy!
  11. Overall I hope to have the audio quality top notch and very little dead silent spaces. Thats just a waste or at least inefficient. I hope to have more commercials and maybe some "characters" doing segments as well. I'm sure with Buster onboard he can coax me into some good stuff! These are my production goals.
  12. @ edwardsfan, I agree the card were long, but it is a must since so many guys want their card read off. in the future though, I will shorten it up a bit and I will certainly have some good gameplanning and slider-fu advice on it! Much appreciated comments on that one!
  13. I am taking all these suggestions into account. the first show will debut today before the santos/carwin fight. special thanks to buster gloves for his segment, and gary white for making the website.
  14. Buster, everyone knows you're the man..."Missle dropkick to the coinpurse" OMFG! lol
  15. ok I need to save up some cash to last me until I take care of getting the radioshow off the ground. I wont have the time to do custom work and run the show so I need to make some savings for this little business adventure. I would appreciate all the help I can get.
  16. The MMATycoon Radioshow 2.0 is coming...I cant do very many customs right now because I am producing the radioshow. Smashwear will be falling down the ranks for a bit....only because I am not putting out ANY work. I will be back no matter what.
  17. hey thanks for the designs, they are real good! i forget what i owe you so if you have a sponsorship open on a fighter i can do it now! PM me ingame so i can square you away!
  18. Somehow I'm thinking Smashwear Radio Show isn't the right name for the show. But MMATycoon radio show is plain and dull...Any good name suggestions?
  19. I can welcome all who want airtime. I will use Skype to do phone interviews or, if you can record yourself send me whatever you want to talk about and I can mix it in! Not sure when the first show will release but it will be soon!
  20. im not sure yet, but maybe once a month or once every 2 weeks. It really depends on how many people I get onboard to do interviews and other things to fill up space with. I am hoping people can record stuff on their own and send it to me to mix into the show...Here is a 20minute pilot segment....its a little boring but I just wanted to introduce myself. http://www.limelinx.com/files/1d136774c9270d0c01115435a116907e
  21. Man, this is very helpful! So far some great suggestions! I will be using Skype to do phone interviews and then later mix them into the show so time zones are no longer a problem. Pre-recording is the way to go! Keep them coming, I am taking notes!
  22. I was sitting around talking with some alliancemates and they gave me the idea to re do the old radio show. I have a recording studio I pieced together over time and I have recorded music for over 10 years so, I already had all the cards on the table. The idea was presented and I think its a great idea. After talking to some of the people responsible for the original show, I came up with some improvements that would make things better. First off, the show will be pre-recorded along with the interviews. I have been told the original show had many problems with being live as far as call ins go. Timezones really messed up the schedule when it camr to call ins so, I will pre-record everything so I can get the best sound quality possible and eliminate the "live calls" problem. Currently I am doing a music project in Columbus called "4middle Fingers" so I already have an in-house band and original music ready to go. After throwing the idea around the public a little I received an overwhelming response from managers willing to help in any way possible. At this point tests and sample segments have already begun production. What I need is feedback and suggestions. Anything people would like to hear on the show, just let me know and we can make it happen. If you are a top 20 business or Org I can feature your business on the show for free. Interviews, commercials, music, anything you think would be good to throw on there let me know. I want to make a show for everyone and within it contain the most popular subjects. Drop me a line either here or in-game (Tamel Moultrie, Smashwear Clothing) and I will consider every suggestion. I have already begun production on some things but I need a clear idea on what people want befor I record the main body. Here is a sample of one possible intro I have come up with. The music is an original song I made just for this project. Enjoy and please, MAKE A SUGGESTION! Here is the official site http://mmatycoonradio.co.nr/ First full length episode is up and available to listen or download. Special thanks to Gary White for that!
