  1. http://mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilemanager.php?FID=88181 Old school
  2. Worst thread of the year? Really?? Victusify probably was a bit too agitated about this but what did this change really accomplish? And yes...I'm also quite drunk at the moment. Donnie
  3. Ricardo Gracie [129313] will represent Ascension in the 170 lbs division.
  4. Like I said to Hunter in ally chatbox, setting sliders randomly is underrated.
  5. Huh, wasn't aware of that. Guess I won't be taking that as gospel either. Sigh.
  6. I agree. I made the mistake of taking what one of Mike's posts implied as gospel when I should just have reread the wiki instead.
  7. Had them somewhat switched around. Transitions is the main secondary for defending against the opponent improving position, def grappling still helps with it though. So if you had such solid knowledge of this it might have helped had you said what part I was wrong about rather than just saying "Your wrong". And Mike's quote actually does imply that you only need transitions if you're attempting to improve your own position. Probably wasn't the intention though, but it is what it is.
  8. This thread (especially Mike's answer) seems to indicate otherwise. http://www.mmatycoon.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=35176 Again, not saying I'm right, but I'm pretty certain I didn't deserve a semi-dickish response.
  9. I think def grappling is the main secondary to defend against your opponent improving position while transitions is the secondary used to improve your own position (as well as being a part of defending). I could be wrong though.
  10. One more thing, I don't think the commentator is programmed for fights that are judged in their entirety, i.e. no round-by-round scoring. So in fights that use the old Pride judging system he is not as reliable as in fights that use the UFC type scoring. That's my opinion anyway.
  11. As I remember it they weren't on the ground a lot in that fight since Josh didn't want anything to do with Diego's BJJ. Mostly clinch if I recall correctly. Leben vs Koscheck was epic lay n' pray though.
  12. Guess we'll have to agree to disagree then. And speaking of Sanchez, he just barely got by Koscheck in the semifinals (split decision if memory serves) when Koscheck was a pure wrestler with next to no striking skills.
  13. I disagree with this. I think the fighters have generally become a lot more wellrounded since season 1. And this season there are some fighters with serious skill. Sure, there were a few guys with wellrounded skills in season 1 as well but most of them were pretty much onetrick ponies in my eyes. And the guys we today say only have skills in one area are a lot better at their bad disciplines than the fighters in the early seasons were in theirs.
  14. Yeah me neither, that was some time ago though, over a year probably.
  15. I know this has been brought up before but was shot down by some managers who didn't see the need for it. Personally I considered it to be a good idea then and I still do.
  16. Pretty much what the title says. I think it's a bit silly that the scout page lists MMA hype (and ranking) for fights on KT events.
  17. Guess it has a lot (yes, I did that on purpose) to do with the fact that we (in Sweden at least) start learning english in school when we're 10 years old. Also, we don't dub foreign films and tv shows (except when it's for children of course) which seems to be fairly common down on the continent.
  18. 140 for me, though that guy hasn't been around for a whole year yet.
