  3. AJFC NEWS LIVE FIGHTER INTERVIEWS, ONLY ON AJFC NEWS RADIO, THE LEADER IN MMA NEWS. Ezekial:We have a very special guest joining us on the program today. He is the current AJFC 155 lb champion, Danial Krigare! Ezekial:Welcome to the show Danial. I'm sure the fans appreciate you taking time out of your busy schedule to answer a few questions that they themselves have submitted. Okay Dan (if I may call you that), ready for a game of 20 questions? Ezekial:Question number one, submitted by Greg Mathisus; "How did it feel to win, then defend the belt after 2 unsuccessful attempts to attain it?(one of them being in the BKC)" Danial:Ah man, it was awesome. I´ve struggled so hard to get here and being successful after 2 losses in title fights, it was just an awesome feeling. Ezekial:Question number two, submitted by Ashly Boss; "You have been in a couple other fight orgs before coming to the AJFC,which one is your favorite and why?" Danial:I love AJFC. I´ve been given fair offers all the time, time to train between fights and good contracts. But I must say that being a part of the legendary BKC London truly was an honor as well. Ezekial:Question number three, submitted by Alex Jones... "The government is poisoning the water and the food, just look it up, its right there to read." Danial:Ehh.... lol Ezekial:OOOOOOkay... that wasn't really a question, but the man is right, I'll give him that. Lets read on shall we? Ezekial:Question number four, submitted by.... Oh come on tell me this isn't real... Chuck Norris... He wants to know... "As a former martial arts champion I feel we have some things in common. If I were in my prime, how do you think we would match up in the cage?" Danial:Holy hell Mr. Norris, I probably wouldn't stand a chance. You´re a legend! Ezekial:Wow I tell you what, after those last two questions, I wonder what the next one is haha. Okay, question number five, submitted by, oh thank goodness a normal name, Scott Coats. He asks; "Ive followed you since your first appearance in the QFC, when you were weighing in at 170. What made you decide to drop so much weight once you got into the BKC? And would you ever consider going back to 170?" Danial:Well, I´m pretty short and I felt a bit slow in there at 170 lb´s. BKC wanted me to go to 155 and I obliged. And to answer the second part, I like it at 155 but I would love a shot at the 170 title, I would smash all those guys! Ezekial:Okay well that last one was more like two questions, so we shall say we are on question number seven, submitted by Charles Baker. "How much training does it take to get ready for a fight? That would include mental as well as physical" DanialI think, eat and sleep fighting. its 24/7 for me. Ezekial:Question number eight, submitted by, Hey! its mine hahah!. Okay well I would like to know... "Of all the fights you have ever been in, win or lose, who was your toughest opponent?" DanialI think Bushido Brown is. I just lost the title fight at BKC, got pissed and left the org to evolve my skills. I got an offer to fight Bushido and accepted it. He might not be the guy with the highest skills but I fought him in a time that I really wanted a win and I was vulnerable as hell. Ezekial:question number nine, submitted by Amber Redd. She asks; "Your so hot, would you marry me?" Danial:Hm, just might dear. But you can´t buy a car without test riding it first... you wanna go to my place? Ezekial: Haha! well, sounds like someone has a date coming. On to question number ten, which is apparently the last question, because there are no more written down on my little sheet here. Young Ryan Miller wants to know; "I'm eight years old and take karate, how long will it take before I can become a champion like you?" Danial:Hey there! Well I was 26 when I become champ, could´ve been younger but I think it´s good not to become champ at too early age. Anyway, have fun at training- thats the most important thing. Chicks and the belt will come later on.=) Ezekial: What a way to finish things, with a question from a kid haha. Well Dan once again I thank you for joining us, anyone you would like to say hi to or mention before we go? Danial:Thank you Ezekial. Id like to thank Marcus at AJFC and my alliance CBK. Speaking of that, - Hey Amber! Let´s go to my place... Bye Ezekial. Ezekial:There you have it ladies and gents, Danial Krigare, AJFC 155 Lb champion. I'm Ezekial Smith, for AJFC NEWS RADIO, signing off. AJFC NEWS RADIO... THE LEADER IN MMA.
  4. AJFC 135: Hug Vs. Shrank is an upcoming mixed martial arts event being held on June 16, 2012 at Shinjuku Indoor Arena in Tokyo, Japan. Background Andy "Death grip" Hug is a top notch fighter who has been around for a long time. He boasts an impressive record of fifteen wins and only five defeats. Fighting through the ranks of the then rated #1 Tokyo fight org ONI, Andy Hug went on to become the Super Heavyweight Champion. Now he has moved to AJFC, and has continued to fight in a dominating fashion. He likes to call his technique "Clinch Raping". "The Tank" Frank Shrank comes into this fight with a record of six wins and three defeats. Shrank is no stranger to the Main Event, having fought for the Super Heavyweight Title on two occasions, but lost both times. He hasn't let that get to him though, and proved it by winning his rematch against Sin Ming the Flash. Now he takes on a true veteran that is still very dangerous. If Frank defeats Hug, there's a good chance he may get a third shot at the title, and possibly revenge on the second champion to defeat him; Versus The World. The Action 265+ lbs:Andy Hug(15-5) vs. Frank Schrank(6-3) 205 lbs:Jarek Thrun(10-4) vs. Xavier Armstrong(13-6-2) 170 lbs:Billy Do(12-4) vs. Michele Mancinelli(20-11) 265+ lbs:Versus The World(7-0) vs. Mikhail Gregovich(4-2) 265+ lbs title 170 lbs:Jay Roc(17-11) vs. Vincent Hunter(10-6) 265+ lbs:Sang Min The Flash(6-3) vs. Gor Keyman(14-5) 155 lbs:Nicola Tesla(9-4) vs. Danny Delphine(11-9) 265+ lbs:Noni Al Majid(4-1) vs. Anthony Bova(13-13) 265 lbs:Jack Yu(11-16) vs. Moses Dunachy(13-8) 265+ lbs:Bob Sapp(11-9-1) vs. Renato Sanches(14-8)
  5. AJCF NEWS, THE LEADER IN MMA NEWS AJFC has recently announced a Super Heavyweight title fight between the current champion Versus the World, taking on a fellow CBK fighter by the name of Mikhail Gregovich. We managed to catch Mikhail after his training session at ONI Grappling Academy, and decided to ask him a few questions about the upcoming fight. PRESS:So you have just agreed to a title match against a man who has so far ran his way through the Super Heavyweight Division, and claimed the title in stunning fashion. He is now one of the top 10 SHW in Tokyo. How do you think you will match up against him? MIKHAIL: at the moment id say very well as we are fairly eveny matched but come fight time i dobnt expect it to b that way and im expecting a tough fight PRESS: I hear there has been a little friendly banter between the 2 of you, anything you care to share with us? MIKHAIL: u know the usual stuff having his mum go down on me etc and the severed head i had from him which turned out to b my cheating girlfriend so he did me a favour there PRESS: Without giving away any secrets, what have you been doing to prepare for you title shot, and do you think you have found any weaknesses in your opponent? MIKHAIL: ive been training really hard dum ass as for weakness the only thing id say is he is younger but he has had a similar amounts of fights but there is still time so im not panicking and ive been smoking crack and snorting coke that was supplied to me by his manager after he said vtw couldnt handle the hard stuff the big emo pussy and also i feel he is a bit of a coward as there is better ranked peopel in the shw divison than me like andy hug ( ill take my payment for that mr hug thnk u ) not that im complaining about getting the title shot of course PRESS: What would it mean to you if you walk out of the cage as the new SHW champion? MIKHAIL: it would meen the world to me and my manager and it would mean even more beacuse i would b his first loss PRESS: One last question before you go. If you lose your match, how do you see your future in the AJFC? if i lose well i cant c that happining as all my other losses my opponents cheated as for my future after that match thats intirely upto the org owner PRESS: Well Mr. Gregovich, I thank you for your time, and I wish you the best of luck in your title shot. and thnk u for wasting my time with ur stupid little interview now get out the gym b4 u end up the same way as that head ** mg mobile phone rings and he starts speaking in russian what could be made out was he wanted it done ** THIS HAS BEEN AJFC NEWS, THE LEADER IN MMA NEWS
  6. AJFC NEWS NOW TAKES YOU TO A LIVE INTERVIEW, REQUESTED EARLIER TODAY BY THE FIGHTER VERSUS THE WORLD. MMA journalists have gathered inside the ONI Grappling Academy waiting for Versus the World to arrive. After a few short moments he emerges from one of the locker rooms and takes a seat at a table that has been set up with a microphone and speaks into it. Questions will be taken later in the interview please. I... Am Versus the World... Is there no one in the AJFC who can present a challenge for me? All who have tried have failed. My next opponent has lost his will, which comes as no surprise to me. I will soon become the most feared man in Tokyo... And then the world. The only person who stands as a threat to me is on my side.. He has seen many battles, and now mentors me in the gym. That man's name is Andy Hug... I'm sure that one day, when Andy is ready to retire, that the student will take on the teacher before all is said and done... But for now I shall destroy all others who enter the cage with me. I hear from my manager that Marcus Whitman has had to hire new blood to take me on. I am sure the results will be the same, but I do hope that they make it worth my time. I have a message for all challengers to come... I am the AJFC super heavyweight champion, I am one of the top ten pound for pound super heavyweights in Tokyo... I don't think I need to say anymore then that now do I? I will now take a couple questions. How about you in the first row. JOURNALIST: So how do you feel about your upcoming fight against a once dangerous Slobozel Doruletz, who as you have mentioned has seemed to give up his hopes of winning? VERSUS: Well.. I don't blame the guy for losing spirit knowing that he has to take me on, but it would be nice to fight someone who is going to fight back. As a champion I don't want to be known as keeping my belt because I have easy fights. Next question, how about you there in the back. JOURNALIST: At only 22 years of age you seem unstoppable in the AJFC. And as you said earlier, the only person it seems who can challenge you and win is AJFC/ONI veteran Andy Hug, and he is your training partner. If it comes down to it, and there is no one else to fight, would you take a fight with Hug? VERSUS: Well that would be up to both Marcus Whitman and Andy Hug's management. Hug does not want to fight me because he feels that it will be an unfair competition in his favor. Granted I am not scared to fight him, but at this time in my career I have to agree with him a little. He is a former champion in AJFC and ONI. He has played with the big boys in the big leagues, and I haven't. I will say this though, if it comes down to it and a match has to be made let it be known that my answer is yes. And if I win then I would feel ready to move on to ONI, though I would like to already be there before we would have to face off... Ok one more question, how about the lady in the middle there. JOURNALIST: If not Andy Hug... Who do you think will be your next opponent after this fight? VERSUS: Well to be honest I would say that there are many talented fighters coming off multiple wins that could very well challenge for the belt. I have been following some fights and I see who is winning and who they won against, so yea that's my best possible answer to that question. Well my friends, I thank you for taking the time to come and listen to me speak, may you all live strong. With that Versus the World stands up. Shakes a few hands then exits out the front door of the gym. THIS HAS BEEN A BROADCAST OF AJFC NEWS... ALL AJFC... ALL THE TIME
  7. BEEP.....BEEP.....BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP..... WE NOW TAKE YOU BACK TO YOUR REGULARLY SCHEDULED PROGRAM..... BEEP.....BEEP.....BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP.....

  9. Hello everyone Ezekiel Smith here. Joining me today in the studio is the current AJFC Super Heavyweight Champion, and I'm proud to say, one of the many fighters I manage, Versus The World. He is here to talk about his title defense and what his future plans are. Bare with me though as I will have to translate for you, and since I don't know Icelandic I'll be using google translate, which I'm sure will be wrong. Okay let's get this interview started. Versus, the mic is yours. <Versus The World leans up to the mic and begins to speak.> Leyfðu mér að byrja á því að þakka stjóranum mínum fyrir að hafa mig hér. Ég vil einnig þakka Marcus Whitman fyrir að leyfa mér að finna heimili í AJFC. Frank shank ... Þú varst góður andstæðingurinn, en þú varst ekki nógu gott. Ég mun hafa a sterkur fyrstu umferð berjast gegn efstu keppinautur .. <Versus The World stands up abruptly and exits through the studio door with no appearent reason or destination, leaving behind only dead air.> Ok that was interesting... He is a weird on. Ok let me look this up here for just a moment... Alright, I do believe I have an understanding of what he just said. Here is what I got. Any other vikings out there that speak english, if I am wrong, please forgive me haha. <Ezekiel begins reading his monator> First I would like to thank my manager for having me here, and Marcus Whitman for allowing me to find a home in the AJFC. Frank Shank... You were a worthy opponent, but you were not good enough. I expected to have a tough first round fighting against the top contender.. But you only managed to make me angry. Let your loss be a lesson to all who challange me. I am not going to lose this belt now that I am in possession of it. I have visited the oracle, and she has seen the path ahead of me. The stars say I must search day and night for the road to Valhalla. Only through victory in battle will I ever be granted entry to those great halls. Nothing in this world shall hinder my quest for glory. I will annilate any who dare stand in my way. Well there you have it folks, translated to the best of my abilities. This is Ezekiel Smith, join me this Monday for another in depth AJFC preview. Stay toasty!
  10. AJFC 123: Hug vs. Walker was a mixed martial arts event held by Average Joe's Fight Club on March 29,2012. Held at Hard Knocks Arena located in Tokyo, Japan. THE ACTION 265+ lbs > Boss Vandamme defeats Top Dawg by way of TKO(Cut) at 01:56 of round 2. This fight spent most of the time in the clinch, with Vandamme instigating early. Vandamme quickly opened a cut over Dawg's eye that eventually got so bad it led to a referee stoppage early in the second round. A good opening bout to kick off the night. 265+ lbs > Jackie Low defeats James Steptoe by way of KO(Knee) at 00:47 of round 1. This match didn't take long at all. Steptoe gassed himself out with relentless takedown attempts, as Low stayed on the outside striking and landing counters every time Steptoe would shoot in, before ending it all with a big knee. The crowd loved it. 265+ lbs > Mana Sato defeats Brock Viking by way of TKO(Strikes) at 03:20 of round 2. This one was all about the ground game. Viking got the first takedown and Sato went to work, trying for a submission right away. Viking spent most of his time fending off the submission attempts of Sato but managed to slip in a couple good shots. Sato worked through pretty much all of round 1 on his back, though he did manage a takedown or two himself late in the round. Round 2 was not much different from the first except for the fact that it was Sato who landed the first takedown, and then another, which eventually allowed him to posture up and pummel Viking until the referee stepped in to save him. 185 lbs > Erlenmeyer Flask defeats Ryosuke Takahashi by way of Submission(Guillotine) at 04:57 of round 1. Takahashi took this fight to the ground immediately after the bell rang to begin the bout. Both fighters went strait to their BJJ skills as they fought back and forth for submission. Eventually, it was the BJJ skills of Flask that got the tap and the win, much to the dismay of Takahashi and his management. 170 lbs > Rural Advantage defeats Billy Casey by way of KO(Strikes) at 00:37 of round 1. Yet another short fight but not yet the shortest. We saw Advantage come out swinging so aggressively, that he simply overwhelmed Casey with strikes, before landing a vicious combo that ended with a spinning backfist. Game, set, match. 185 lbs > Gar Diu defeats Tatsuya Kimura by way of Decision(Unanimous) at 10:00 of round 2. This one was all stand up with both fighters giving their all for twenty minutes. In the end it was Diu that managed to win all the judges over with his display of striking skills, earning him a decision win over Kimura. 185 lbs > Pedro Bueno defeats Ginger Mann by way of TKO(Strikes) at 00:18 of round 1. Here it is, the shortest fight of the night. It took a mere eighteen seconds for Bueno to cut then finish off Mann. Here's a sound clip of the fight: <The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mann misses with a looping left. Ginger Mann seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bueno lands a jab-cross combination. It looks like Ginger Mann has been cut. Mann throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bueno sees it coming and avoids it easily. Mann pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Bueno steps in with a hook that catches Mann right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Bueno follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Mann looks absolutely devastated!> Needless to say, the crowd went wild for this one haha 155 lbs > Rolls Royce defeats Isaki Gomi by way of TKO(Strikes) at 1:42 of round 1. Royce got the early takedown, then followed it up with a series of strikes before trying to work in the submission. He wasn't able to get it though, so he decided to rain down more punches until the referee stepped in to end the match. Royce is proving that he is still a top contender in the 155 division. <Rudely barging in on the commentator action, The famous David Goliath grabs the microphone and belts out his analysis of the last two fights for AJFC - 123...> Co - Main event AJFC Heavyweight Championship Dennis Oakley vs Mr. Woo This fight was really a barnburner...Mr. Woo has been unstoppable in his reign of terror, dropping a few fights to top talent, but grabbing victory when it counts. After retiring the former HW champion Destroyer Of Worlds, Mr. Woo looked to reclaim his title from the actual destroyer, Dennis Oakley. Woo came into this fight looking to throw combinations while patiently waiting for the takedown. Woo has excellent submissions and really needed to use them here. No go. Dennis Oakley proved he is the real deal by extending his win streak to 7, and defending his title. Oakley had other plans in motion that did not include going to the ground. He showed his striking D by making Woo miss all but one combination, and defending most takedowns.Heavy leg kicks and big powerful punches ate away at Woo's constitution and left him on the canvas in the second round with a good old-fashioned overhand right. 265 lbs > Dennis Oakley defeats Mr Woo by way of TKO (Strikes) in round 2 at 04:22 for the 265 lbs Title Main Event Andy Hug vs Kevin Walker Andy Hug is a newly signed legend coming to us from ONI. This former ONI SHW champion is looking to test out anyone in the division, and not interfere with the current rankings. Enter Kevin Walker. A new-hire specifically brought in to give Hug a good fight and show what he is made of. Walker came into this fight looking to strike, but fully prepared for the clinchwork, of Hug. Once the bell rang, Hug and walker exchanged strikes at distance, both hesitating and looking to counter. Everybody knows that Hug is a clinchfighter so its not hard to prepare for him. The problem is having a chin that can get you there. Hug took the fight into the clinch and unloaded knees and punches, trading blow for blow with Walker, and not really interested in defense. Although they nearly matched numbers on strikes in the clinch, Hugs big power was the deciding factor, as Hug finished the job in the 9th minute of the first round, TKOing Walker with authority. 265+ lbs > Andy Hug defeats Kevin Walker by way of TKO (Punches) in round 1 at 09:38 I am excited to see this guy fight, as I am his trainer and coach and... <Before Goliath could finish his sentence he feels a tap on the shoulder. Turning around he finds his gaze traveling up to meet the gaze of the towering 7'5" monster known as Versus the World. Ezekiel Stands there with a smirk on his face, before ripping the mic away from a stunned David Goliath.> Well I have to cut you off there bud, its time to say goodbye. So in closing, this is Ezekiel Smith, with apparent special guest host David Goliath. See you next week for my preview of AJFC 125: Opay vs. Christmas.
  11. THIS IS AN AJFC NEWS BREAKING NEWS UPDATE We have just received a letter from the fighter known as Versus The World. It reads: "Pelko minua maailmassa olen tullut. En nousee yli kaikkien, jotka uskaltavat Haaste minua taistelussa. Olen uusi maailma. Nyt on minun aika, entinen on kuollut..." We here at AJFC NEWS have been able to decipher the letter thanks to some of our foreign colleagues. Here is what we got: "Fear me world, as I rise above all who challenge me in combat. I am the new world. Now is my time, the former has passed away..." We here at AJFC NEWS have no idea if this is in any relation to his upcoming fight against Frank Schrank, but we can surely speculate. THIS HAS BEEN AN AJFC NEWS BREAKING NEWS UPDATE... AJFC NEWS. ALL AJFC, ALL THE TIME.
  12. AJFC 123: Hug vs. Walker is an upcoming mixed martial arts event being held on March 29,2012 by Average Joe's Fight Club at the Hard Knocks Arena in Tokyo, Japan. Background Since I like to talk about the final three matches, lets see what we have in store for the fans! First on our list is Rolls Royce taking on Isaki Gom. Royce comes into this match a little angry about the outcome of his title shot back in AJFC 117, where he lost to the currently missing Jian Lieu midway through the second round via strikes. If he wins this fight, there may be another title shot in his future, taking on the winner of the two current top contenders, one of which will be champ if Lieu does wind up exploding from a rigged belt... *shifty eyes* His opponent is a fast rising up and comer in the division. Gom is coming off a decision win against Yonjiro Yoshioka during AJFC 118. Gom is no stranger to competition as he has also faced the champion Leiu, in AJFC 112 but came up short as well, suffering his only loss. He is looking for his seventh win, and hopes it will bring him that much closer to another title shot. The Co-Main event of the evening will be between Dennis Oakley and Mr Woo, as they battle it out for the AJFC Heavyweight Title. Oakley Comes into the cage looking for his second successful title defense, as he looks to use his striking and Maui Thai skills against the veteran Mr Woo. Oakley gained the title back in AJFC 112, here he delivered a devastating head kick to the former champ Juan Bartolome midway through round 1. Later he successfully defended it for the first time against the always dangerous Warren Wesley at AJFC 118. Mr woo has been around the sport for some time now, racking up wins against some of the top competitors of the MMA world. He is a former fighter of KOF, PFL, ZAN, and RFC before joining the AJFC family. Woo made his debut during AJFC 92, where he won and earned himself a shot at the AJFC Heavyweight Title. In AJFC 99 Woo fought to a decision win against then champ Warren Wesley, only to lose it in the same manner to Juan Bartolome at AJFC 104. His recent win against Destroyer of Worlds during AJFC 116 has earned him a chance to regain the title once more. Okay, now for our Main Event match up preview. We will see the the number two ranked AJFC and former ONI Super Heavyweight warrior Andy Hug who is making a re-debut into the AJFC take on Kevin Walker who is also making his AJFCdebut, after fighting in the likes of QFC, SMMA, Ronin, and BDX. Hug began his career in our very own AJFC before graduating to our top ranked (in Tokyo) professional tier organization ONI. After a long and successful run in the Super Heavyweight Division which earned him the title on two occasions, he feels he is a fighter who is still very competitive but ready to wind down his career, and finally spend the money he has earned. I'm sure the fans of the AJFC and ONI thank you Mr. Hug, for all the exciting matches you have given them and all that will follow before you say goodbye. Kevin Walker is coming into the AJFC after fighting for BDX, where he was clearly out of his league. Now he is hoping to make a better name for himself in the AJFC Super Heavyweight Division, but has a tough first fight ahead of him. Walker was the current Super Heavyweight champion of the now bankrupt fight org Ronin. He then went to BDX where he started off good, winning his first two matches, before going four strait in the loss category. The Action Weight Rounds Fighters 265+ lbs (2) Andy Hug(13-5) vs. Kevin Walker(7-5) 265 lbs (3) Dennis Oakley(6-1) vs. Mr Woo(11-9) 265 lbs title 155 lbs (2) Rolls Royce(13-7) vs. Isaki Gomi(6-1) 185 lbs (2) Ginger Mann(14-13) vs. Pedro Bueno(11-7) 185 lbs (2) Gar Diu(14-13) vs. Tatsuya Kimura(17-11) 170 lbs (2) Rural Advantage(8-7-1) vs. Billy Casey(3-3) 185 lbs (2) Erlenmeyer Flask(4-3) vs. Ryosuke Takahashi(12-20) 265+ lbs (2) Brock Viking(5-6-1) vs. Mana Sato(7-10) 265+ lbs (2) Jackie Low(4-2) vs. James Steptoe(9-8) 265+ lbs (2) Top Dawg(7-14) vs. Boss Vandamme(0-1)
  13. AJFC 121: Opay vs. Glasgow was a mixed martial arts event held by Average Joe's Fight Club on March 12, 2012 at Hard Knocks Arena in Tokyo, Japan. Okay I'm going to try something new. I will be adding fight commentary where I think it fits. The Action (265+ lbs)-Anthony Bova(11-13) defeats Too Fast(12-12) via Decision(Unanimous) at 10:00 of round 2. The first fight of the night had a little bit of everything, as both fighters seemed happy to bang it out were ever the fight took them, and it did just that. Both fighters showed well on their feet AND the clinch(were Fast was cut early), battling it out till the end of the round before taking turns wrestling each other to the ground. This was a damn good match and at least half the fans in attendance agreed with me. The second round went to the ground early, with both fighters scoring takedowns. From that point it was a battle of wills with the goal of making the other guy tap, which neither did sending it to the judges, who scored it unanimously in favor of Bova. (205 lbs)-Rocky Balboa(6-7) defeats Kyuzo Mifune(9-20) via TKO(Strikes) at 5:54 of round 2. Our second fight of the night featured the wrestling and BJJ skills of Rocky Balboa as he totally dominated his opponent on the ground, before finishing him off with devastating ground strikes midway through the second round. A much needed win for Balboa, snapping a 4 fight losing streak. *SOUND BITE* Balboa fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Balboa unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Mifune wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Balboa celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild! (205 lbs)-George Foreman(10-8) defeats Graeme Souness(5-7) via KO(Strikes) at 1:57 of round 2. The third fight on the list got some of the best fan appreciation of the night. Foreman came out as the more aggressive fighter, whiles't Souness seemed to want a little slower pace fight. Both fighters seemed evenly matched on the AJFC official fight breakdown, yet it was Foreman who came out on top landing a beautiful combo before... Well... I'll just let you hear what the fight commentary. *PLAYS SOUND CLIP* A left and a right from Foreman both land. Nice combination. Souness is rocked! Souness blocks a head kick by Foreman. Foreman lands an overhand right. Souness is still on wobbly legs! Can Foreman finish him? Souness fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Foreman manages to avoid it. Foreman steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Souness is out on his feet! Foreman sets himself and nearly takes Souness's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo! (265 lbs)-Furious Styles defeats Jack Brown via KO(Punch) at 1:11 of round 1. Fight number four made it a back to back riot in the crowd. The noise level was loud for the previous match, but it grew even louder as the AJFC gladiators continued to please the fans. Jack Brown was cut early in the opening seconds of round one, and managed to gas himself out in less then a minute swinging like a mad man. You could tell Furious Styles smelled blood, as he gave Brown a five minute beat down in just a little over a minute, earning him the win. Here is how the fight ended, as commentated by AJFC's very own Marcus Whitman and myself Ezekiel Smith *SOUND CLIP* That's one minute gone in the round. Styles jabs Brown right on the nose. Brown blinks but takes it well. That has opened up Jack Brown's cut even more. Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Styles engages and cracks Brown with a massive lead left hook - Brown tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Styles is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off! (205 lbs)-Lee Christmas(5-1) defeats Waltari Suokuokka(9-9) via TKO(Head Kick) at 1:45 of round 2. Fight five of the night made it a threepeet thriller for the fans! Soukukka came out and immeadiatly went for a takedown (which failed) before moving right into the clinch. He didn't stay there for long though as he was quickly outmatched by Christmas, who managed to land a few nice shots before moving back to normal striking distance, but got cut by Soukkua in the process. The rest of the match was spent in and out of the clinch as Suokukka tried to dirty box with Christmas, but to no avail. Midway through round one Soukukka managed to land a nice double leg takedown, slamming Christmas hard. He was not able to capitalize on it though, as he missed all his shots before getting swept and finding himself on the bottom. Neither fighter was active enough on the ground though, resulting in a referee stand up. Soukukka managed to get another takedown to finish off the end of the round. Round two seemed to be a repeat of the first, with Soukukka getting a takedown early, before standing up and trying his hand at the clinch again. Things just didn't go Soukukka's way though, as he was rocked early in round two, before taking a kick to the head from a delivery man known as Lee Christmas, who might I say, didn't even get a tip... (265 lbs)-Jack Yu(10-15) defeats Joey Jones(5-7) via TKO(Strikes) at 7:09 of Round 1. Jack Yu used his superior Maui Thai skills to take apart Jones, who managed to cut Yu early in the round with a head kick. Jones spent pretty much all of this fight on the defensive end, trying to avoid the "6 points of contact" being sent his way via Yu. It took most of the round but Jack Yu pummeled Jones long enough to make the referee jump in, giving him a TKO stoppage. Here is the Commentary from the fight's conclusion. *SOUND CLIP* Yu lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Jones backwards. Jones is rocked! Jones blocks the elbow strike. Yu tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Jones's elbow. Yu misses with a short punch on the inside. Yu throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Jones's head. Jones drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
  14. AJFC 119: Kim vs. Kuraba results will be written tomorrow, as will teh preview and post fight for 120.
  15. AJFC 118: Do vs. Roc was a mixed martial arts event held by Average Joe's Fight Club on February 27, 2012 at the Hard Knocks Arena in Tokyo, Japan. The action Super Heavyweight Bout:James Steptoe(9-8) defeated Henry Pitman(1-3) via submission(RNC) at 4:45 of round 1. Our first match of the night looked like it was going in favor of Pitman, as he was defending well against Steptoe's takedown attempts and landing a couple deciant shots. Henrey's punches at first weren't very accurate, and the few takedown attempts he tried to mix in just wasn't working. A little later in the round he seemed to calm down, and his stand up game got better, but he still wasn't able to find any of the takedowns he wanted. The momentum shifted though, as Steptoe's relentless takedown attempts finally worked for him, and he managed to get the fight to the ground. Both fighters struggled around on the mat for awhile, and the ref even thought about standing them up a couple times due to inactivity. Steptoe eventually managed to get Pitmans back in the struggle, cinching in a match winning rear naked choke, putting Pitman to sleep at 4:45 of round 1. Super Heavyweight Bout: Mikhail Gregovich(2-1) defeated Boss Vandamme(0-1) via TKO(Strikes) at 1:01 of round 1. This one was short yet exciting. Not only was it the quickest match of the evening, but the fans loved it. Gregovich came out swinging while Vandamm looked to clinch, with Gregovich coming out on top. I would like to write more about this match but I can't because Vandamm walked into too many punches... The highlight of the match was a beautiful spinning back fist by Gregovich, though it was his well timed striking that eventually did Vandamm in. Welterweight Bout: Rural Advantage(8-7-1) defeated Kazuushi Sakuraba(8-11-1) via Decision(Unanimous) at 10:00 of round 2. Everything started out with Advantage getting the early clinch and landing a couple good knees, before trying to get back to striking distance. He had a little trouble though as it was Sakuraba that decided that he would control who got out first. Advantage was unsuccessful at re-instigating the clinch thanks to a few good leg kicks from Sakuraba, who also managed to pull off a nice head kick in the process. Advantage eventually brought the fight back into the clinch and this time Sakuraba pulled guard, escaped and scrambled back to his feet. Once they had returned to striking distance, both fighters exchanged some decent shots while trying unsuccessfully to clinch. From that point on the fight pretty much went the same way, in and out of the clinch with Sakuraba pulling guard and escaping every time. Sakuraba was the more active fighter relying heavily on kicks rather then punches, and scoring points for successful takedown. But it was the stand up game and aggression of Advantage that won the judges over earning him a unanimous decision victory. Super Heavyweight Bout: Akira Tanaka(3-1) defeated Mana Sato(7-10) via TKO(Strikes) at 3:39 of round 1. Our forth match of the night was a quick one and went to the ground early. Tanaka displayed his wrestling skills, taking Sato down after three failed attempts. Sato had the better BJJ, but once on his back he wasnt able to defend very well as Tanaka used his ground and pound to tenderize his opponent for a TKO stoppage, and the win. Isaki Gomi(6-1) defeats Yonjiro Yoshioka(4-4) via Decision (Unanimous) at 10:00 or round 2. This match was a pretty good stand up match if you ask me. Both fighters came out displaying their striking skills. Yoshioka scored with a few good head kicks, one of which cut Gomi midway through round one. Gomi rocked Yoshioka with a two piece combo at 5:00 of round one, and finally managed to score a takedown late in the second round but couldn't do anything with it and was stood up shortly there after. Yoshioka seemed to be the more accurate striker in this bout, favoring kicks over punches and limiting his opponent to only 36 shots out of 108, compared to his 23 out of 76. It was the aggressiveness of Gomi and the late takedown that most likely earned him the judges favor and the win. Andal Ampatuan(9-3) defeats Freschetta Digornio(14-11) via TKO(Strikes) at 8:35 of round 1 In this bout Ampatuan scored an early clinch but Digorino managed to break free. After freeing himself, Digorino landed some quick stikes, bouncing Ampatuam off the cage and then cutting him. All this in under a minute!
