  1. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/3/3b10.jpg MAC JACKSON REPORTER: Mr. Jackson, you have defeated Gallagher before in a pretty one-sided matchup. Are you a little worried about being overconfident tonight? JACKSON: Not at all, man...not at all....I've had 3 losses in my career, and I remember them all like they were yesterday. Gallagher has solid wrestling skills, and all 3 of my previous losses were to wrestlers. I have spent countless hours working on my jiu jitsu and takedown defense for this fight. I'm not the same fighter I used to be...I am going to fix those holes in my game and become a complete fighter. I plan on keeping this belt for a long time.
  2. I will tell you the same thing I tell the ladies....You can't handle "The Anaconda"
  3. In a press conference Tuesday night, myronmonroe announced he will be sending two veteran fighters to Immortals Fight Camp to help promote the importance of sparring. "The Anaconda" Marcos Duarte (MMM Middleweight Champion) and "El Muro de Escudo" Esteban Delgado (Top Featherweight contender in TTFC) will be sparring in every discipline, looking to expand the amount of sparring available in the new gym. "We'd like to get at least two sessions of each discipline going to give these young fighters more options" said Delgado. "The coaches are a fantastic asset, but sometimes you really need to get in there and mix it up with some of your fellows fighters. There is no substitute for that".
  4. yeah you get like 5-10% less speed with just BJJ, so it's not a huge deal....especially since dropping a coach would make the classes bigger
  5. I tested it out a while back, and you definitely gain faster for subs on a BJJ/Wrestling than just a BJJ. I also checked out all of the big dog managers (Chris Karter, Lance Templeton, Captain Lou, etc) and the gyms they have their guys in always have BJJ/Wrestling. It's only slightly faster, but every little bit helps in this game If money is an issue, I can definitely see why people might go BJJ only.
  6. I will send some money over to help out. BTW, the submission coach needs BJJ and Wrestling, not just BJJ.
  7. Yeah I'll thro in some cash too....the hard part is finding someone to host it. We wouldnt have trouble putting money together to fund the gyms
  8. The reason you are seeing vet players joining with really high level fighters is because of the write-ups and smacktalk. A lot of managers have more money than they can spend...but one thing they can't buy is write-ups and smacktalk that make your fights about 1000 times more interesting. They don't really care about low pay because they have plenty of money. I can tell you that me and my alliance mate that's also in the org....we aren't stealing hype and leaving. We aren't going anywhere, cause this is the org where the most fun can be had
  9. http://www.operationfitness.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/corporate-guy1.png Sir, we ask that you please direct all complaints and criticisms of Mr. Roy to the secretary of his official representative, Mr. Rob Matthews. He can be reached at ext. 4397. William Smith Public Relations Representative MMM, Inc.
  10. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/25/25b15.jpg Soham Roy "I'm extremely happy with my performance last night. I felt like I did a pretty good job standing against a world class striker, and my ground game was working really well. I tried to stay active so the ref wouldn't have any reason to stand us up, and it worked well" "I had myself a fun celebration last night, but it's right back to work on Monday. It's hard to celebrate too much, knowing there's an undefeated fighter out there who made me submit in 30 seconds. I am very embarrased by that performance, and I will be in that gym, preparing for my vengeance!"
  11. Two things I would love to see for private jets: 1) The ability to hire employees for the jet, so they can make flights, etc 2) A way to schedule recurring flights. It would be awesome if one of the options during scheduling a flight was to make certain flights a weekly recurring thing. That way, I could set up weekly flights every Saturday morning from Montreal to New York, etc. This addition would make it SOOOO much easier to actually run your jet as a business.
  12. It looks like this might have started since the base move was implemented, cause I had never seen it before now. What happened is, I will invite people on a public flights....then other people will buy tickets while those invites are still pending. Eventually they accept the invites and there are more than 5 people on the 5 seat plane. It's actually better for me, but I figured it's probably not meant to work like that For an example, check out: Flight ID #3853 There are 6 people on confirmed on that flight
  13. Great fight! It kind of annoys me how much Pablo's manager hype plummeted cause his fighter lost a very close decision to the top fighter in the world.
  14. Nigel York would like to remain in the tournament no matter who is running it http://mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilemanager.php?FID=110555
  15. The Gentleman, Nigel York would like to sign up! http://www.mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilemanager.php?FID=110555
  16. I've never been a big fan of excluding people because they are "too good"....if they fit the 150k+ ID limit, why not have them in? If you make your way up to the a super high world ranking and never fight one of those beasts, then you are really just a a paper champion. To be the man, you gotta beat the man I do happen to have a private gym cause of all the money I made off my org back when I had it, and my guys are pretty skilled. I'm a pretty casual player, though, and I don't watch my tickers and sliders like I should. Even a public gym guy can defninitely beat me by paying attention to the details in the sliders.
  17. Reports coming from the Myron Monroe camp say that Mr. Monroe stormed out of the arena after Soham Roy suffered a shocking loss via triangle submission Wed. night. It was the 2nd huge loss via submission for team Monroe in the past few weeks, as Kevin Love recently tapped as well. Our sources have told us Myron immediately got on his phone and fired both of his BJJ coaches. An onlooker in the arena overheard him saying: "They told me Soham's defensive grappling looked "sensational" in training!!....Well, if that was sensational then I'm the King of #^#$ing England!!!" Tell them to pack their $^ and get out of my gym!!"
  18. Man, this crap is getting annoying...would you please SHUT THE HELL UP and quit polluting these forums. I'm not even sure why I still look at these forums. I definitely understand why most people don't any more.
  19. I can definitely tell you what one of the problems is. I have been an org owner in the past, and my hands are definitely dirty in this, so I'm not being pious when I say this..... When you own an org that isn't one of the "big-boy" orgs with all the top skilled fighters, and you have a guy start to reel off a bunch of wins and get really hyped/popular, that guy starts to become a meal ticket for your org. He starts getting protected cause he's makes you so much money. You start to avoid signing less hyped guys who could beat him....and you usually turn down any superfights against other higher skilled fighters, cause you know that guy is going to take your fighter's hype/pop away and take it back to his org. It's just a very smart business decision to protect him as long as possible. I hate to admit it, but it's true.
  20. I would say no, a 170k ID does not deserve a shot a being #1 in the world. This is a long-term game, and it takes well over a real-life year to train a guy to be skilled enough to reach #1 in the world. I don't really see that as a bad thing, though....if your 170k ID guy is one of the best in the world in that ID range, that is something to be proud of. I think new managers can get a lot of joy out of being successful in the lower tiers. I know I still get pretty pumped when one of my younger guys wins a belt in a smaller org I think we are fairly close in opinion here, actually. I do think being the best "quad strong" guy in your "tier" is tons of fun, and you want to follow your ranking and be the best in that ID range.....but let's not kid ourselves....in NO way is that quad strong deserving of being mentioned with quad sensationals when we are talking overall best in the world. If they were to fight it would be a massacre
  21. It's VERY hard to have a computer system come up with decent rankings in a game like this. The best idea I could come up with to help this is a tiered org system. Have like 4-5 tiers of orgs, with tier 1 being the tops in the world, and tier 4-5 being noob/QFC orgs. The lower the tier, the lower the amount of hype you get. I would even be OK with there being a minimum total skill points to get into each tier. It doesn't even have to be a super high minimum....just something to keep really low skilled fighters from getting tons of hype for their fights. The only problem is, how do you decide which orgs are "tier 1" orgs? Maybe Mike or some sort of committee/leadership picks some trusted orgs to be tier 1?
  22. My private jets is running the following routes this weekend, and the flights are all centered around Saturday fights. If you would like to tag along, I have set the prices the same as first class, so it's a great value! I'm not too worried about it, just looking to fill empty seats. Here is the schedule: PRE-FIGHT FLIGHTS, FRIDAYS New York to Montreal $400 Montreal to New York $400 New York to Las Vegas $800 Las Vegas to New York $800 New York to Los Angeles $1000 Los Angeles to New York $1000 POST-FIGHT FLIGHTS, SUNDAYS New York to Montreal $400 Montreal to New York $400 New York to Las Vegas $800 Las Vegas to New York $800 New York to Los Angeles $1000 Los Angeles to New York $1000 It's real easy to find them, just go here: http://www.mmatycoon.com/privatejetbookings.php and search for your desired source and destination to book a flight. Thanks!
  23. Yeah I didn't notice Gunmetal and Mogul Magnate are pretty much inactive now as well, until I went to go find people to sponsor and all their guys were at the top
  24. I actually think the new training speeds make this interesting. There won't be any double elite or triple sensational freaks of nature in this one. Everyone will have some holes in their game. I'd be down for putting a guy in if you decide to do it. It looks like right now the cutoff is around 164500.
