It is time to bring back the Alliance World Championship!

                               Format

    Round Robin group stage

    3x5 minute rounds

    cage, 10 point must

Best teams from group stage advance to knockout stage

    Rules: 3 fighters per team

    1 team per alliance

    1 fighter per manager

    18 y/o creations

Weight classes 135, 185, 265 (just create exactly in the weight, I don’t want any issues)

    17 days between fights

We will figure out the exact format based on the amount of teams that sign up

I will start PMing alliances but contact me in game or in this forum once you have a team

Maybe LOD will be interested, so we need 3 managers, 1 fighter per team?

It makes more sense to have voting in game and nominations in the forums.

Maybe it makes sense for you to either start "official" nominations or bump the current topics i already started, to see if any new nominations make it to the list.

What do you guys think about doing these awards in-game? Managers can submit their nominations then everyone, even those who don't use the forums can vote with the all of the necessary information available to them at a glance.

It makes more sense to have voting in game and nominations in the forums.

We want to move away from laundry in the long term, to a more realistic simulation where fighters have things to spend their money on and receive tangible benefits for their spending.

I'm sure you can appreciate that this is meant to be a simulation game and I can't picture any fighter out there wanting to give all of their money to their manager. 😂 It's an unrealistic part of this game's economy at the moment but we have plans to address it in time - with changes and improvements you will all hopefully enjoy!

If you have any suggestions for what fighters can spend their money on, realistically, we're happy to hear about it! :)

The problem with this is that very few people actually consider fighters as a separate entity. They are for manager the same thing as a "business", so by removing laundry, you not only remove part of the business of nutrition / clothing companies, you also make fighter earning totally irrelevant. Who cares if the fighter "bought a new car"?

Adding things that "enhance" a fighter, makes sense. Things that reduce injuries, reduce cuts, enhance recovery time etc.

I think any guy who gets "Hates Pizza" as a hidden should get the associated bonuses of being able to cut weight faster when needed without energy penalties for sauna use or anythng like that prior to a fight, being able to drop weight as needed and also perhaps having a bit more stamina/cardio in the cage.

This makes more sense, easier to cut weight or recovers faster or something in that range.

  6. I have done a statistical update to see which managers perfomed the best over the past 9 months.

This ranks only managers who have won a GAMMA title, it is impossible to rank everyone.

I did not include any of the super fights, as i update that live when they occur.

Here are our top best managers:

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1PUBoZ76tUVYpy_catEueWyYOFJmuzuShj9IpdqmsMX0/edit#gid=109474977

Aleksey Nikulin (48376) was by far the dominant force with a total of 160 total points. Together with his previous performance in GAMMA, he is one of the top contenders to get inducted into the GAMMA hall of fame. Aleksey dominated in almost all statistical categories, besides total title fights, that honor was reserved to #2 ranked GAMMA manager of all time, Laz Staz (82447).

Marky Mark (22640), Joe River (13987), Runt (108617), Alexander Biro (81823) all had very solid periods of dominance during this period, they rounded up the top 6.

I also updated the top manager list: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1PUBoZ76tUVYpy_catEueWyYOFJmuzuShj9IpdqmsMX0/edit#gid=396796386

Bear Stevenson (81194), Aleksey Nikulin (48376), Pablo Spezziale (16996), Lance Templeton (889) are all candidates for HOF induction and should see induction during 2024.

Laz Staz (82447) is getting closer and closer to surpassing Whymer Van Mastodon (40116) as the greatest manager in history. Carlos Castenada (84794) also became the 3rd manager in history to surpass 200 wins, although he is now retired from the game.

  7. Crotch Grabber (310041) later renamed Andy Grabber competed in GAMMA from 2020-04-04 until 2021-04-10 under 2 different managers Grumpy Bastard (102643) and Bjorn O'Donnel (94172).

Before competing in GAMMA, he was already a veteran, winning regional belts for PFF, TGC and then at PPV level winning the prestigious PFC title.

Crotch had 17 fights with a record of 11-6-0. All his wins were via finishes, 13 of his fights were Fight of the Night classics.

He also competed at the very highest of levels as 10 of his fights were title or super fights.

He won the 265+ title in his very first GAMMA fight, holding both the GAMMA and PFC belt at the same time and he became a MMA Tycoon Hall of Famer, by being ranked #1 in the game after this fight. He ended up becoming a 2 tile GAMMA champion, with 3 title defenses.

His GAMMA career was cut short after change of management and spent the rest of his career on the indy scene with mainly OFK.

His biggest GAMMA wins were over Zdravko Saric, Orpheus Boagrius, Thierry Paulin, Roar Horse, Hiro Manowaru, Sunray Spike, Franck Kodjia among others.

This is Grumpy Bastard (102643) #4 induction into the GAMMA HOF, only 4 other managers have achieved the same feat in our history. This also moved Grumpy up to #5 in the all time GAMMA manager list.

@Mentor - all the same game, no second server etc... Just a total revamp of the site and code to bring it up to the next level. You never know in future about a second server but that's not in the immediate plans.

That is good, as a second server could actually kill everything, the game lacks a big enough core to have 2 or more servers.

As for Vlad, i think he is a great addition to the team, a person who knows the game very well and also has the enthusiasm and necessary skills to add to the game.

  9. Hello, does this mean that we keep the current game, but there will be another server/second version of this game? Or does this mean that the current game will work on multiple platforms and be more optimised?

    Either way, welcome aboard!

It was the only one other than humors that happened before I started playing the game.

You mised all the good times 😀

Just the sheer response to that topic, you get the idea where the game was then and where we are now. 455 replies is probably what we get in a month in all the topics now. That is why i say that comparing fighters or managers today to the greats of 10 years ago is somewhat obsolete due to the sheer talent pool we had then and now.

  11. I have recently spent some time to update the GAMMA historical page. More specifically, now you can get a "live" update of the greatest fighters and managers in the organization's history. This means that i update the page as soon as a new fighter or manager is added, there is a separate document with tables and calculations ranking each fighter and manager.

Here is the link to the history page: https://docs.google.com/document/d/18u4iZ7ssA5uWSlD8KAUcXBdMsML0TbBU19V0J0VYkf0/edit

I have also made some adjustments to the formula for ranking fighters. This is how the formula looked before:

    Old System
    Highest rank - #1 60
    Highest rank - #2 45
    Highest rank - #3 30
    Highest rank - #4 24
    Highest rank - #5 20
    Highest rank - #6 17
    Highest rank - #7 14
    Highest rank - #8 12
    Highest rank - #9 11
    Highest rank - #10 10

GAMMA Fighter of the year = 60
    2nd place = 45
    3rd place = 30

Tycoon Fighter of the year = 60
Tycoon Division Fighter of the year = 60

This is how the formula looks now:

    New System
    Highest rank - #1 100
    Highest rank - #2 90
    Highest rank - #3 80
    Highest rank - #4 70
    Highest rank - #5 60
    Highest rank - #6 50
    Highest rank - #7 45
    Highest rank - #8 40
    Highest rank - #9 35
    Highest rank - #10 30

GAMMA Fighter of the year = 100
    2nd place = 75
    3rd place = 60

In short, i have totally removed the in game awards (because they are basically defunt now and very biased) and instead enhanced the in game top 10 rankings (which is based upon a formula) and the GAMMA awards (which is also based on a formula).

This is how the top rankings for fighters looks now:

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1PUBoZ76tUVYpy_catEueWyYOFJmuzuShj9IpdqmsMX0/edit#gid=0

I think the new system is more accurate and fair.

Convicted with a shout out to Five Guys holding it down for a while. Honourable mention to Smesh for making it into division 1 every other month, hanging on for a few without dropping despite having me in the ranks.

You cannot nominate your own company/alliance/org/fighters (Smesh being the case in matter).

  13. The GAMMA organization is proud to induct Foot Fungus (302783) into it's Hall of Fame!

Foot Fungus (302783) (Now renamed to Ryan Dinu) competed in GAMMA under 1 different managers, but had most of his success under GAMMA HOF manager, Grumpy Bastard (102643). Foot competed in GAMMA, from 2019-09-21 until 2020-11-21, which is relatively a short period of time considering.

When he joined GAMMA, he was already an established stat after he had won the Syn Europe title and was a multiple KOFC champ prior to that.

His career in GAMMA was only 17 fights, with a record of 12-5-0. However what he lacked in volume, he covered in quality. He competed in a total of 9 title fights and 3 super fights and acheived massive acclaim after he entered the MMA Tycoon Hall of fame, reaching the #1 spot in the p4p rankings.

His biggest wins are over Darth Sidious, Michael Cole,     Alphonzo Mirage, Tomomi Tsuruta, Robert MacArthur Jnr,     Shawn Antoski and Song Turillo among others.

His 215 total points rank him 46 in the all time list of greatest GAMMA fighters. Only Simon Williams (58148) and Russ Rutger (62373) achieved more with 17 or less fights.

With this induction, Grumpy Bastard (102643) has not 3 fighters in the GAMMA Hall of Fame and is ranked 5th in the all time manager listings.

Can I suggest another award? Although most people aren’t voting in nominations, even the ones who supported this, I still think this idea is good. Rising star award, top prospect 23 or under years old.

I doubt that will get any traction. As you already mentioned, we will be lucky to get the main awards off the ground, not a lot of interest.
