  1. Thanks! I usually have too little time to make the most of these previews, but nice to know they are appreciated.
  2. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/company/logo/1366609860LOGO.jpg CFS 32 Beach Bash at the Bondi Outdoor Arena on the 14th of December MAIN EVENT 135 lbs Title Diego Godin (10-0), Champion vs David Lang (7-1) There haven´t been many real grudge matches within the org so far, but this certainly fits the bill. Godin has, more or less, become the poster boy for CFS and certainly enjoys his fair share or fortune and fame. The only thing threatening his dominant reign is current 155 lbs champ, David Lang. These two have fought once before and the fight ended midway through the first round when Godin caught Lang in an beautiful triangle choke. Back then Lang was considered the favorite as he was generally seen as the more skilled fighter. Things seem pretty much the same going into this second fight, but Godin has really shown that everything isn´t about skills. Having a sound gameplan and being able to implement it is no small feat for anyone in the fight business and Godin is one of the best in doing just that. This will be a close affair, but I believe Godin will retain his title with a little help from the judges. CO - MAIN EVENT 265 lbs Title Raging Bull (8-0), Champion vs Raimo Rento (3-0) Bull has only recently been crowned champion of the heavyweight division and is looking to strengthen his hold of the belt. He is well rounded and has shown a tendency of putting his opponents to sleep with the help of his fists. The challenger, Raimo Rento, isn´t as experienced as the champ but there is a reason for him being given this opportunity. He is better at boxing, but has a slight disadvantage in muay thai, otherwise these two combatants are on equal skill level. As always title fights are hard to predict and are usual very close and competetive fights and I see this going into the championship rounds. Bull will be able to hold off Rento and finish this one in either the 4th or 5th round. MAIN CARD 155 lbs Gustav Grimwald (2-1) vs Max Sharkhausen (7-3) Griwald is a grappler going up against the striker Sharkhausen. Both are likely future stars of CFS, but for now they´ll battle it out to see who will be a bit closer to a title shot. Grimwald by submission. 135 lbs TeRauparaha (5-1) vs Aiden Preston (7-1) Rauparaha gets the honor of welcoming Preston to CFS. Rauparaha is riding a 5 win streak, which is impressive, but Preston is sporting a fantastic 7 win streak. Someones momentum will slow down after this one and we are predicting Preston walks away the happier man. 135 lbs Uriah Primetime (9-3) vs Cesar Sampaio (9-6) Two highly regarded crowd favorites meet in this fight. Sampaio will provide us with a small upset and improve his winning record to 10. UNDERCARD 205 lbs K.Jotko (1-0) vs I.Morozov (2-0) 205 lbs G.Gilbert (5-3-1) vs O.S Sinclair (7-1) 155 M.Hovimäki (5-3) vs Cam Lawson (4-7) 155 J.Ardona (2-0) vs N.Umanga (7-5) 135 F.Carvalho (10-1) vs E.Garcia (11-4)

Tälläinen toiminta sopii kyllä meille ausseissakin
  4. - In todays episode we once again talk to Crucible Fights Sydney CEO, Mr Frank Abbott and for those of you new to our show, I´m Ed Winchester. Welcome back to our program, Mr Abbott! - Thanks Ed. - CFS 30: Battle for Bondi was a success for the org and I am happy to say I got to watch the fights at the arena. The arrangements were top notch and everybody seemed to enjoy themselves. From your point of view, how did this event turn out in the end? - You know what Ed, this was certainly a success for us and we have been encouraged enough by the response to book even more events at the Bondi Outdoor arena in the future. The event itself got a rating of 197.5, which makes it by far the best ranked event for us. We had a full house, although we did have to give out free tickets to do so, but we ended up making a small profit after all expenses were covered. - Sounds great, Mr Abbott. Did this event affect the org globaly somehow? - Straight after the event we were ranked the 43rd best org in the world, which also is a new all time high for us. I also believe investments like this, with bigger arenas and more media surrounding the events, will eventually make it easier for us to sign talents from all over the world and not only the asian/pacific region. Soon after the event we had a board meeting and we made a couple of big decisions. One of those was deciding to end this year with a bang and go for an year ending event at the Schooners Bar that seats 7000 spectators. CFS 35: New Year will be held there and we will aim to make that the first CFS event that breaks an rating of 200. We also hope that this will be enough to carry us into the top 40 orgs worldwide. - Quite an aggressive strategy you guys have chosen and hopefully everything goes well for you. Any comments on the fights you´d like to share with us? - Sure! First I´d like to congratulate our newest champions, Lone Wolf in the 170 lbs weight class and Gandalf Grey in the 205 lbs weight class. Both are classy fighters and worthy of the gold around their waists. Brandao put up a good fight against Wolf and I´m certain he´ll bounce back from this loss. Terry Thompson was a big disappointment however. He had the hype, he had the record to go with it, but come fight day he just did not perform. Heard he had some issues with his manager which should be sorted by now. Anyway, if you have the chance of lifetime, to become a champion and your thoughts are elsewhere, then you´ll get slaughtered by a fighter of Greys caliber. There was one big surprise on the card, when Domonico Cuccaro finished Gunner Reed. That was certainly a job well done and Cuccaro took major steps forward within his own weight class. - By the way, also noticed that the overall satisfaction ratings for CFS have gone down lately, how do you feel about that? - As far as I can see, we have come down in ratings by 2%, so nothing alarming. However that satisfaction rating also works as a means of marketing the org, so I would certainly love to see the managment of our fighters rate our org. If we can keep it above 90%, then we are most likely beeing seen as an org that people are more likely to join. So guys, if you are happy with us, please go rate our org and if you are not satisfied with things, please inform us at CFS and give us the opportunity to make the necessary changes for the better. We are also always open to any kind of suggestions on fights, events etc. - Ok, that is all we have time for today. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts with us, Mr Abbott.

    Crucible Fights

  9. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/18/18w1.jpg Lone Wolf ( 6-0, 170 lbs ) - Earlier today we sat down with the champ and now we are giving the challenger an opportunity to talk about tomorrows big fight. A very warm welcome to the show, Lone Wolf! - Thank you, Ed! - It seems the Bondi Outdoor Arena will be sold out for this event, making it the biggest ever for Crucible Fights Sydney. How do you feel about that? - That is definitely more people than I have fought in front of before, but at this point in my career, i'm starting to become more well known, and fighting in bigger and bigger arenas is to be expected. What can I say the fans love me - They sure do and with good reason, as you are still unbeaten as a professional. How has your time, in this current org, been? - Ahh the time has went fast, the owner threw out his own fighter to face mine in my first fight, just to get me started in the org, it wasn't really a fair fight, but I appreciate the owner taking one for his org, in getting me a fight in a reasonable amount of time. - Ok, I seem to recall that fight. A bit of a onesided affair, but St Pearce might be one to watch out for in the future though. How is the training going? - Ahh training is going good, the guys know I am a beast in the gym, that's pretty much all I do, train train train. Nothing special for this fight, business as usual. - What are your thoughts on the upcoming fight and your opponent? - My thoughts on the upcoming fight, well Diego might be the champ but I just see him as the guy who has the belt, and that belt will soon belong to me that is all. His manager seems to be doing well for himself, his fighters have won all of their last 20 fights. Who better to end that streak than me, right? - This certainly has the potential of being an interesting fight and I´m sure all are as eager as me to witness two great fighters battling it out tomorrow. Any last words for the fans or Brandao? - Nothing personal, I have nothing against you Diego, I just want what you have, the belt. And I think this will be a very entertaining fight for all the fans. Get your tickets now, they won't last much longer, with a card like this. Hell Gandalf is on this card, I wonder is that fucking Gandalf from Middle Earth?
  10. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/30/30b18.jpg Diego Brandao ( 8-1, 170 lbs Champion ) - A very good afternoon to each and everyone able to join us, as we sit down and talk to a very busy 170 lbs champion, Diego Brandao. Welcome to the show, Diego! - Thank you, Ed! Feels good to finally be a part of your show. - We have tried for ages to find a suitable time in your busy time schedule and I´m thrilled to have you here just before your big fight against Lone Wolf. You will be fighting on the Bondi Outdoor Arena and from what I´ve heard it will be filled to the last seat. What are your thoughts about the venue? - The Bondi arena is a great place to show of my skills and whip the people into a frenzy. It seems the bigger the crowd, the better I preform. - You certainly should have no problems performing tomorrow then. Have have you enjoyed your stay at Crucible Fights Sydney? - I have enjoyed my time here thoroughly and it is only a 5 minute walk to the stadium, so it is great for me, I might as well rock up with a sleeping bag and stay at the stadium. - Sounds good, Diego. How has the training gone and have you been concentrating on anything special going into this fight? - Training is going well, I had a bit of an injury but I am fully recovered now and back in camp training in specific skills, I wont say what they are due to this being public news and my opponent, I assume he can read may get the jump on me. And I would like to keep my strategy a secret, like Victoria`s secret, aint no one, no what that secret is, lol. - Haha, that´s certainly true. Any thoughts on your opponent, who we will be interviewing later today? - I think Lone Wolf will be the biggest competition to date but I am looking forward to the challenge. - Any greetings to your fans or your opponent? - Sure. I would like to say to all the fans get out there and support the 2 best Welterweights going around in CFS on Saturday night, and enjoy their night. Also to my opponent your name may be Lone Wolf but on Saturday night u will be running with the pack. - Do you have anything else on your mind before the end of the show? - Yeah, you tell Lone Wolf I’m coming over. I’m kicking in his back door and I’m pattin’ his old lady on the ass and I’m telling her to make me a steak, medium rare just how I like it.

  16. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/company/logo/1366609860LOGO.jpg CFS 30 Battle for Bondi at the Bondi Outdoor Arena on the 30th of November MAIN EVENT 170 lbs Title Lone Wolf (6-0) vs Diego Brandao (8-1), Champion http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/18/18w1.jpghttp://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/30/30b18.jpg Lone Wolf Diego Brandao In the main event two alpha males will collide for the 170 lbs title. Will Brandao still be the meanest dog of the division after this one, or will it be the Wolf that howles in victory? On paper this should be interesting. Both fighters are, by the way, managed by Top 10 managers giving this fight some added prestige. The champ has a great ground game, with some decent boxing added to the mix. The challenger has a clear advantage in Muay Thai and only the slightest of disadvantages on the ground, making him the more well rounded fighter. I think Brandao wants this fight to hit the floor, while Wolf might favor the clinch to grind out a victory. This is certainly a fight that can go either way, but one thing I am pretty sure of though, is that this one is going to the judges. Both have had a tendency to that, as both have earned 50% of their wins through decision. Any more precise predictions I am not willing to make at this point... CO - MAIN EVENT 205 lbs Title Gandalf Grey (8-0) vs Terry Thompson (10-0) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/1/1w2.jpghttp://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/22/22b7.jpg Gandalf Grey Terry Thompson This fight is for the vacant 205 lbs title between 2 undefeated fighters. Both have very good boxing skills and decent muay thai. Both are on an equal basis in BJJ skills, both have a blue belt, but Grey holds an slight advantage in wrestling. This might become a boxing match between the two as both have gathered 6 wins through some kind of KO before this encounter. I believe Terry wants to keep his distance to Grey, while Grey might want to take it into the clinch. This fight will end before the fifth round and I´m going with Grey in this one. MAIN CARD 155 lbs KH Routakirves (9-3) vs Charles Douglas (7-3) Newcomer Douglas challenges perennial contender Routakirves for the next step towards earning a title shot. Douglas by decision. 265 lbs Cain Velasquez (5-2) vs Dan Severn (9-3) Promising prospect Velasquez tries to outwrestle Severn. Both are ground fighters and good ones, but Severn earns the decision thanks to the experience advantage. 185 lbs Doc Evil (8-2) vs Thai Muay (6-0) Both find their strength in muay thai, but Evil is a bit more well rounded with better boxing and BJJ. However that being said, I´m going with Muay in this one. Muay by TKO. UNDERCARD 185 lbs Domonico Cuccaro (5-5) vs Gunner Reed (10-3-1) 135 lbs Urijah Faber (7-1) vs Dan Price (3-1) 170 lbs Rich Castellano (7-5) vs Tykwon Dont (4-4) 205 lbs Buddy Brandon (1-1) vs Jamie Johnson (2-0) 205 lbs Tateum Titain (3-5) vs Shikou Endou (2-2)
  17. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/13840179529952.png Kalevi Holger Routakirves ( 9-3, 155 lbs ) Time for our second interview in regards to next Saturdays big Crucible Fights Sydney event and this time we sit down and talk to Kalevi Routakirves. He was born in Finland but has become something of a veteran face and perennial contender here in CFS. - So Kalevi, Bondi Outdoor Arena, 5750 spectators, what thoughts come to mind? - Well Ed, first of all let me say thanks for giving me the chance to come and talk about my upcoming fight. I am very excited. I've never fought in front of a crowd that big so I'm really looking forward to that. CFS is clearly going in the right direction, and I'm excited to be part of it. - That´s true, they seem to make a push at being a top 40 org before the end of the year. Will be interesting to see if they are able to make it. How have you enjoyed your stay here in Crucible Fights Sydney so far? - It's been fantastic. I've had 10 fights in CFS and nothing but good things to say. I've gotten competetive fights and it wasn't a problem to take a little time off to compete in TWGC, so it's all good. - You certainly made a good run in the first TWGC ever and managed to gather quite a few new fans of your grappling. How is the training going/gone so far, anything special for this camp and opponent? - I actually moved to Sydney some time ago Ed, so I'm still looking for a good private gym to train at. Sometimes I've had to go to another gym to get the level of training I need in some areas, but no excuses, I've trained hard for this fight. Invitation to a private gym would make it a little easier though. *hint* - Training conditions are certainly crucial, especially at this stage of your career. Can you give us your thoughts on the upcoming fight? - Charles Douglas is a legit prospect so I can see why he was signed. I was offered a chance to welcome him to CFS so of course I accepted it. We are both originally grapplers so things could get pretty interesting if it hits the mat, but it's not the end of the world if it doesn't. It's a fight and anything can happen. - Anything you want to say to the fans or your opponent before we have to end? - It's going to be a great card with great fights on the biggest venue so far, so don't miss this one. The house will be packed and I'm gonna be the first guy to stop Douglas. - Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us Kalevi and best of luck with the fight!
  18. Heck Dee, that certainly confirms it has to be corrupt...
  19. I think so too and its probably the first fight result I'll check as soon as the event has been held. Hopefully Raging Bull will improve a bit in the scouting department though, as Raimo already have two convincing victories in the org and that is why he is the challenger ;D Best of luck to both fighters and their management!
  20. Cool, someone else besides me actually posted here. Now let us see if the posts can provoke an answer or two Cheers Mystery!
  21. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/3/3w15.jpg Charles Douglas ( 7-3, 155 lbs ) - Your favorite MMA - host, Ed Winchester, here again, this time joined by one of Crucible Fights Sydneys exiting new signings. Welcome to the show, Charles! - Thanks Ed, honored to be here. - Tell me Charles, Bondi Outdoor Arena, 5750 spectators, what are your first impressions? - I'm really looking forward to being at Bondi Outdoor Arena again, I picked up my first ever win that night. I think only 800 people were there at all that night, and I was first up on a 10 fight card so there were probably only 200 when I was fighting so I'm looking forward to what I hope will be a sell out and being higher on the card. It's Australia's only purpose built outdoor arena, it's walking distance from a world famous beach, what more can you ask for? - You might have an unexpted edge by actually having fought at the arena before and I agree, what more can an MMA - fan actually ask for, as the stage that´s being set certainly is unique. By the way, how have you enjoyed your stay here in Crucible Fights Sydney so far? - This will be my first fight with CFS. But I've been training with Domonico Cuccaro since our early days at SEFC, after that went bankrupt he signed on here and loved it and when I recently got out of a bad contract and was offered a place here he spoke so highly I turned down my other offers to come here. - Yes, we heard there was some serious competition for your signature. I´m sure all Crucible Fight fans agree when I say we are more than happy to have you here with us. How is the training going so far, anything special for this camp and opponent? - No special training for this fight Ed. I got caught in a bad contract that saw me training without a fight a long, long time. I'm really happy with where I'm at right now, and I'm focussing on my long term training goals rather than this fight. -Please give us your thoughts on the upcoming fight? - I'm looking forward to it. Routakirves is a bit younger than me but has had a few more fights, and I know he is very reliant on his ground game in general, but especially his submissions, obviously I was a jujitsu guy before I took up MMA so that suits me, also I've developed a lot in terms of my stand up over the last few months and I think I am now the more versatile fighter than him. I've also noticed all his losses have been by KO so hopefully I'm a chance of knocking him out. I also believe I'm in better condition than he is so he will have to stop me to win it because I won't fade away, and noone has ever stopped me. - The bookies seem to have you as the slight favorite going into this fight, but I´m sure you wont be underestimating your opponent. Anything you want to say to the fans or to Routakirves? - To the fans, I know you guys know Routakirves because he has fought here for a while, but I'm hoping you'll get behind me when I step into that cage because I'm the local boy from just up the freeway in Newcastle and he is from Finland, show me a bit of love as the Aussie in this fight. I don't need to say anything Routakirves, that's what the cage is for. - Anything else you would like to say before we end this interview? I've never been subbed, and I've never been knocked out. I'm undefeated at Lightweight and I'm planning on staying that way for a long time. Looking forward to my CFS debut. Cheers. - Thank you, Charles and best of luck!
  22. Hello everyone, this is Ed Winchester, with the latest update on the Battle for Bondi event. These past weeks sure have been hectic as the people here at Crucible Fights Sydney are doing their best to fill this card with interesting fights. Let´s find out what CEO Abbott can reveal for us today. - So, Mr Abbott, can you tell us anything new about the upcoming event? - Yes, I certainly can, Ed. At this point we have four more fights confirmed besides the two already earlier confirmed title fights. Perennial contender Doc Evil will fight rising star Thai Muay in the 185 lbs division. This is one I´ll be watching closely, as this is a fight which might affect the champions future plans. A fight with similar implications is KH Routakirves fighting Charles Douglas in the 155 lbs division. Routakirves should at this point be a familiar face to all those of you who follow Crucible Fights Sydney events, while Douglas is a new to the org, but not the fight game. Douglas is one of those with the ability to make an impact on the top rankings from the get go, so should be equally interesting to watch this one. On our preliminary card we now have 2 fights confirmed. Buddy Brandon fights Jamie Johnson and Rich Castellano tests Tykwon Dont. - Good fights indeed, Mr Abbott. Hopefully you can keep on delivering with the remaining fights too. - Well, all fight offers are out and we are only waiting for some managers to accept or decline their offers. Please be swift with them by the way, so that if your fighters dont feel up to the test, we are able to find repacements in time. - Any other news concerning the event, Mr Abbott? - We are, as we speak, trying to put together a few interviews for you guys to read. So keep an eye out for them here in the near future. Now that we have more fights confirmed, I´d like to remind the fighters and their management that my smack talk competition is still on. The best ones will be awarded with 25k each. Also, the bonuses for this event will be 7000 each, so this is also an improvement compared to our regular events. - Sounds great and I´m certain the fighters always appreciate more cash. Thank you for the update, Mr Abbott. Cannot wait for more info about this event. - My pleasure as always, Ed!
