  1. everything acomplished and im amazed how the orgs grown. currently sitting just outside the top 30 globally, have been as high as 20th on a paticually good week
  2. hey iv put a featherweight in, I just wanna get me some grappling action whatever it takes
  3. any decision on what cities we're going for this time?
  4. Closest I get to that is rolling with the superheavys, man boobs falling out of gi into your face is the best argument ever against pulling guard
  5. Now there's an idea, there's nothing worse than having to choose between boobs and submission grappling.
  6. I really want locked rules- my fighter in chucks org has been on the receiving end of strikes in every single fight!
  7. Iv got a 210k in there, but hes in the weightclass above you
  8. glad the rest of you have found the hells balls grapplers to be following the rules, so far my guys had 3 fights: First one, got punched once and cut but then got it to the ground and won anyway. Second: Lost a decision in which the other guy landed head punches, body punches, a combo, a leg kick, a body punch in the clinch, and knee to the body and 8 of 23 ground shots. Third one I was again cut in the oppening seconds, opponent used the jab to set up his takedowns, threw a few strikes on the ground and got up (which isnt allowed in the org). Got a draw that I recon I wouldve edged the decision if he'd kept to the slider rules Moral of the story. Some people are crap
  9. Id prefer 205 but can live with 185. I think the lower the weight goes the more we need to consider having a 2nd (openweight?) division- if its 205 then theres a few heavier grapplers missing out, if its 145 then maybe 90% of the grapplers cant compete
  10. first spin, nothing... let the gambling addiction comence.

    contract

Before deciding wether to accept talk to the org to confirm what the situation is. a) Far too common: The org signs people (including new managers who dont know any better) and dosnt care where they are- your expected to make your own way at your own expense. If we're talking about low hype fighters then they'll not want to pay you much- which may mean your show money will not be enough and unless you win every fight you'll either be making a loss to get there or making very little and not be able to afford a decent gym. Bare in mind if your not using private flights (Which can be expensive) you'll loose energy for the flight, and so have to go with enough time to recover (costing you in hotel fees and missed training time). b )The org decides it wants you bad enough it'll cover your travel- they'll transfer an amount to cover travel (either per fight or as an inflated signing bonus) in this case theres no financial downside, its just a bit more effort on your part to arange travel. C) as my org does (I sign fighters from all over europe and put events on in all 4 european locations) if I need people to fight outside of their home base I use my private jet to fly them- all the manager has to do is accept invitations and they arive at the fight with no energy loss and get home again after. If its situation a Id stay well away from those contracts. B I'd go for if it was better than offers in home town. C theres no real downside to
  14. Not content with 5 successful defences of this belt http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20130116160715BeltEFFA.jpg Effa Heavyweight champion Hank McCoy has added this to his collection: http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20130116160715BeltEFFA.jpg Yes, Hank has become the first man to hold EFFA world kickboxing championships in two weightclasses- both heavyweight and openweight. 'The Beast' (8-0 EFFA, 12-2 KT) achieved this at EFFA 33 where he returned to superheavyweight for the first time in nearly a year and took on EFFA 205lb champion Jorge Pericic. The fight was a 3 round blood bath, with a cut sustained by Pericic in the first round nearly causing a doctor stoppage by the end of the 2nd and Hank himself also receiving a superficial cut. In the third round Hank scored an uppercut in the clinch to become the first man to ever knock pericic down, after a 5 count the fight soon returned to the clinch where a knee from Hank also added first man to beat, finish and ko Pericic to his list of accomplishments. Ended at the 2.15 mark of the third the fight was the longest of either mans career, Pericic was clearly struggling to keep up the pace towards the end while Hank credits the win in part to vast improvements in his fitness since his early career where he was twice finished himself in the third round. With no obvious challengers emerging in the 265lbs division Hank will next make his first defence of his new openweight belt against the 6'8, 280lb Goliath that is Frank Schrank, the german MMA fighter amassed a 12-7-1 record, most recently fighting in Feral Combat before transferring to kickboxing where he scorred a first round tko in his professional debut at EFFA 32. With no firm plans to return to 265 Hank is now entering many pundits rankings at #3 for 265+ kickboxers and teetering just below the top 10 p4p.
  15. most orgs dont do kt, as their not kt orgs. you need to find out wether the org does it before you sign with them- you cant have mixed events, so its quite a serious commitment from the org to do it- they need 20 fighters up for doing it on the same night to fill a card.
  16. Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
  17. and because sometimes shit happens, theres pleanty of real life stuff that can cause 10 day activity. Maybe you move house, the new cable people say internet will be within a week so you dont bother trying to borrow someones internet to play, then theyre a few days late (hell iv had them spin this out to months before) Maybe you have an accident and its 10 days before your out of hospital and not off your face on meds. Maybe a family member dies and youve got 10 days where other things are just more important than the game. I wouldnt want any of my fighters being taken advantage of if any of those happened to me and i wouldnt want to inadvertently do it to anyone under those circumstances. IF there were to be any mechanism introduced I think it should either be much more than 10 days or linked to the contract inactivity- for most 30 days is long enough that if they are off that long its probably permanent whilst also meaning those who want really short inactivity are effectively guaranteeing regular activity on their part.

  19. whilst i agree its annoying its hard to think of a solution not open to abuse. with the option of autoaccept I think many orgs will view it as taking hype from fighters they view as done with moving it to prospects they want to build by giving the inactive fighter unwinable fights either by giving them a fight they wouldnt have accepted skill wise or by making them fight too often to recover.
  20. As promised the big announcment about Hank McCoys next fight: 1st November, EFFA 33, Amsterdam, EFFA Heavyweight Champion Hank McCoy takes on..... EFFA Light-Heavyweight Champion Jorge Pericic... In a 5 round openweight superfight... for the first EFFA world openweight championship belt. Whoever wins will be the first EFFA 2 weight class champion. Both men are a perfect 7-0 within the promotion in their own weightclasses but this will settle who europes top kickboxer is. With a combined streak of 17 wins, all 17 by (T)KO, 12 of which in the very first round, an extremely brutal finish seems on the cards.
  21. Hank McCoy tonight made his 4th defence of his EFFA world kickboxing title, and his 10th (T)KO victory in a row- taking under 3 minutes to reduce french boxer Jerome Le Banner to a bloody mess and bring about a doctor stoppage- of Hanks 7 fights with EFFA over half have his opponents have been saved by the medical representatives of the North Holland athletic committee. With the win Hank is now ranked 5th in the world at 265lb and is the #14 p4p kickboxer. Already Hanks managment have had meetings with the promotion and while nothing can be confirmed yet we hope soon to make an announcment that will cement Hanks place as a pound for pound great.
  22. what are you trying to link to? It looks like a link to a non-existent gmail attachment?
  23. As in a different option for each of the 3 ways to loose? i think that'd be brilliant and vastly increase uptake
  24. I know I never have- I noticed it a few weeks ago and thought it'd be a special occasion type thing i thought about maybe having a guy whod lost a lot of close decisions whine about judges, but it wouldnt make sense if he got KOed thn whined about judges. Iv seen it used well to retire a fighter, I'd use it like that, and would consider using it for all my title defenses, but beyond that I dont think theres many situations my fighters wouldnt either be humble in defeat and have nothing to say or just disapear before being interviewed
