  1. it just aint fair i tell ya. we need to do something about brown belts and them training takedowns and submissions. they should be banned (or adjusted or whatever) just like sparring needs to banned (or adjusted). it's cheating, and just aint fair. we all need to have the same exact fighter. and if the fighters progress, they all need to progress in the same skills and at the exact same rate for everybody. otherwise, it's just not fair. i've had enough too...let's get rid of training and just fight each other with the same fighter. that would be fair.
  2. I've never seen that in the wiki. Please provide link. The wiki does say, otoh, that sparring does train peripheral benefits. On a side note, be careful with sparring. Some managers (not me) think sparring is cheating because they dont spar their guys as much as others.
  3. Well, I wasn't aware some orgs had inactivity clauses > 60 days. So make it 90 or whatever. What I don't see is why managers who want their fighters to spar should be penalized because other managers think sparring is cheating. Even if sparring is eliminated altogether, the next complaint would be: "it's not fair, some managers are finding/building gyms where they can train 1-on-1 with elite coaches in a single technique...we need to change something." Or "it's not fair that some people are building up their cardio too quick because they are allowed to do cardio 18 sessions in a row in a gym with brand new gym equipment..that's not fair...we need to limit that." The witch hunt for these things should be next because it's all the same thing.
  4. May I suggest instead of doing all that extra manual work, that instead you require all fighters to fight every 60 days or so lest they be automatically retired. That way, all fighters, even "sparring partners" (which I don't see the problem with since they take up to 4/4 or 4/10 spots on your roster) have an incentive to train other attributes, to stay active in fighting, etc. Further, they would be taken out of their "sparring partner" role in preparation for and after recovering from fights. And if not, they amass losing records or are retired from the game, and their manager's record and hype are dinged accordingly. I think it's the perfect solution. Also, people who are just experimenting aren't falsely accused or falsely punished for doing so. There is room for Rickson Gracies and Mark Colemans in this game, imo.
  5. yeah, my question is more about being able to release fighters than it is keeping all 4 (or 10) of them.
  6. my point of view is: there's no problem here if theyre maxed out in one style theye going to be useless in all the others. besides, theres the 110 point cap. might as well get rid of opporunity to create your fighter, get rid of opportunity to choose your training, etc. might as well just give all fighters a randomly generated profile and fight with that.
  7. Per the FAQ It's clear that you can keep 4 if you don't renew and you can keep 10 if you do renew. But do you have to keep exactly 4 or 10? If you wanted to keep a different number - or none at all - is that an option?
  8. Interesting. I always thought you guys had this option. I'm neutral to this idea, but I think it's reasonable for the extent of a company's hype to have an influence on the fighter, beyond just having all clothes giving equal amounts of morale boost. I like this idea. In fact, I mentioned it once. It creates a biz2biz opportunity, as well as a promotional opportunity for the gym or org owner.
  9. yeah. you should definitely raise it to 200. at least.
  10. edit: need to hold off for now. wth was i thinking?

    New Business

brothels/escort agencies...i've actually given this some thought hookers can give unreal boosts to morale. pimps/madams hire diff levels of hoes for different levels of boost. but the catch is that after so many johns, they start to spread disease (by way of a hit to morale and energy). and the diseases take higher toll, the more johns they see. goes all the way up to AIDS status where it zaps morale and energy to zero. the catch is there is a delayed effect...like the disease hits half a week later or so. time for them to enjoy morale boost. but disease status would have to remain known only to pimp/madame. the game for the pimp/madame involves choices of whether/when to replace the hoes.

  15. you can do whatever you like. when someone comes up with the same quality product at a lower price - because it's bound to happen - i'll buy from them and be better off for it. with the money saved, i'll use it towards purchasing something else. burning money doesn't make sense to me, but it's your perogative. do it your way; i'll do it mine.
  16. wth? dont do that! you providing high quality supps at a fraction of the price of other suppliers symbolizes the beauty of free competition. we are all better off buying Q152 stamina for $10 than we are buying Q100 for $50 (or whatever the local markets are producing). there is beauty in efficiency. dont mess it up because you feel some unjustified obligation to be "fair." as a consumer, i don't give one flying F about who i buy my supps from. i feel no obligation to paying the local suppliers more for a lower quality product. that is F-ing insane. in fact, i feel no obligation whatsoever to any business - local or otherwise - unless i have a relationship with them where they are sponsoring my fighters or promoting my business. in short: keep supplying the $10 supps!!! p.s. here's a free economics 201 lesson for everyone: IN THE LONG RUN, THERE ARE NO EXCESS PROFITS IN A FREE MARKET ECONOMY; ONLY ENOUGH TO KEEP SUPPLIERS IN BUSINESS. do you guys have an idea how profitable and expensive RAM, computer storage, and cpu hardware in general was prior to the late 90s? we live in a different world now, don't we? same concept applies to any unregulated supply. with the regulated goods, we have inefficencies instead.
  17. meh, i stocked up on 152++ stamina for $10/tub the other day and cant wait till the shipment comes in. i must say that i am DAMN SATISFIED!!! as far as the topic and shoveling money back and forth... i agree it's unfair, but at the same time i dont really care if anyone gets stripped or not. i just want two companies of my own.
  18. wow. http://s.lurkmore.ru/images/9/95/ImageDoubleFacepalmRickerPicard.jpg
  19. at first i was like then i saw that fighter's manager's name is nate hatred (lol).. so it somehow seems ok like bad karma or sumthin
  20. do eeeeeeet. n post link to store. oh wait no promises here. i've stocked up on stamina recently. price wars ftw.
  21. not pre-fight smack talk but... L.A.-based fighter Bryan Deshautelle just KO'd his opponent this evening with a head kick. Within an hour he'll be a free agent (for reasons unrelated to performance). Consider hiring him. He's 2-0, w/ shirts, shorts, supplements, and $1100+ in the bank. http://www.mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilepublic.php?FID=18057
  22. Stop ducking Deshautelle, homie. Accept or decline the offer already. My boy Deshautelle needs to get his fight on this Sunday.
  23. NFA was great to fight for, but it doesn't exist anymore
