  1. That is a valid point, and an issue I'm not opposed to discussing. What do other people think about this? And, if people are unhappy, what would you suggest we do to keep everyone in the org content? I am opposed to cutting fighters outright, let me say that up front. I believe that even our more "advanced" fighters tend to be lower-tier intermediate fighters in the big picture, and that even the nineteen year olds can catch up to them in short order with proper training and motivation. In the meantime, we have no shortage of challengers, and there are plenty of other opportunities for all of our competitors to take on opponents of different skill sets. Please bear with us while we iron out the wrinkles, as I have never ran an org before and this org in particular seems to be a totally new concept for anyone. Mr. Rdalycolts, please call off the uprising momentarily. We are willing to negotiate!
  2. This is the official Disobedience press release for my fighter, Ned Kelly. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Australian fighter Ned Kelly has recently signed on to Disobedience. He expects to fight his first fight in sixty days time. While there have been some problems with his VISA brought on by felony convictions and parole obligations, Kelly will be ready to bring his particularly dirty brand of kickboxing and grappling to the Disobedience cage in short order. Ned Kelly is a fearless warrior and a fierce competitor. He is at Disobedience for one reason: to attain the title and defeat all competitors. See you in the cage!!
  3. James Dean Press Release There have been many questions brought up recently, some covering upcoming matches and most involving fighter inactivity. I hope this clears a few things up. Darstknasset Oystenteller has agreed to a rematch with Albert Dulin in two weeks time. Hopefully we can get both of those boys on here to talk about it. In about a month we may switch to twice weekly events. We have a lot of fighters now, and that means a lot of fights to book. Once we trim the fat and remove the inactive fighters, this is one of the plans your owners have discussed. A lot of you are messaging me for fights. This is fine, but you should first check page one of this thread to see whose camp you're in. I cannot book fights for Mr. William's fighters, and vice versa. I have to go on vacation for about a month, starting on August 7. I will be leaving this org in the VERY capable hands of Mr. Williams, who does most of the work anyway. He will be logging on to check my account and mail, and any concerns during that time should be addressed to him. Remember, the best way to get your man a fight at REVO is to talk smack. We reward those who post on this thread with higher profile fights against the opponents they want. So get to smack talking, and we will be sure to hear you. One last note: Jeremy Stapleton should get the fights he wants, and soon, providing he stays in the W column. I think Mr. Petrosyan is not opposed to a match, for one...
  4. Your beard is indeed notable. However, check out LHW contender Owen Glyde's beard. It is awesome as well...
  5. What's a reasonable morale drop during training sessions?
  6. It's maybe worse. It gets pretty damn violent, and there are no stoppages. I'm looking for a link but I'm at work. If no one else has posted it I will get it later when I am home.
  7. Has anyone else seen this on youtube? It's kind of sick, and very little technique involved. Craziness. Just curious what other people thought.
  8. I've been training Muay Thai for over a year, and I had big problems with my chin coming up. I started tucking a golf ball under my chin when shadow boxing. It helped me a lot. And I was told to picture my feet like they are tank treads, never crossing, and you only move the foot that is towards the direction you want to go. The other one just slides into place behind it. So if you are a righty, you move forward and to the left with your left, back and to the right with your right. I was made to practice by circling a box, always facing front but moving left, forward, right, then back, around and around it, hands up with weights in them.
  9. NOT Fedor. How about CroCop? Talk about a one trick pony...
  10. Mir can be a beast. He can also be a chump. We've seen both, you just never know which one is showing up on fight night. That being said, I'd rather talk about him then fight him...
  11. Footwork is the single most important standup skill, period. I've seen very strong punchers with strong chins get punched silly and knocked down by guys with accurate footwork. I know it's cliche, but footwork can't be stressed enough. Timing, distance, and power will all come naturally with proper movement. Read some of Bruce Lee's writings on timing and distance. Nothing has changed since then.
  12. Keep your hands up and your chin down. Circle out of the corner. Keep your feet in position. Other than that a decent start.
  13. Marcellas Wallace: I'm dominating my division. Let's get some new challengers in here! The pool is awful shallow!
  14. REVO-4 REVIEW by James Dean REVO-4 was overall an interesting event. Four out of the five fights from my camp ended on the ground in the first round. The one that didn't end on the ground was a total mismatch, but kudos to Browne for stepping up to the plate against a veteran competitor when other people declined the fight. Here are some of my thoughts about the fights and fighters from REVO-4. 265 lb Division Akulov vs Foster The first fight of the evening was the longest fight from my camp. Akulov came with relentless ground and pound, and Foster couldn't handle it. Akulov dominated the fight from start to finish, and overall had a very impressive showing. AKULOV- A Good job enforcing your game plan. FOSTER- F Aside from two takedown attempts, which he's lucky he didn't get, Foster did nothing but attempt in vain to control. Time to revise the ol' game plan. 265 lb Division Abc vs Bolec Well, when Abc clinched up and pulled guard I thought he was on to something. Then he tried to stand, from bottom, and tapped out. Bad idea. ABC- D He gets some points for effort here, just needs to work on his grappling if he's going to, um, grapple. BOLEC- B+ He waited for his moment and didn't let it pass him up. A decent showing. 155 lb Division Morgan vs Braddock Austin Braddock and Huey Morgan won Fight of the Night honors, but I honestly don't know how. I almost understand Morgan being awarded Sub of the Night, but this wasn't much of a fight. Braddock missed, Morgan capitalized and dominated on the ground. Game over. MORGAN- A He got the fight where he wanted it, gained position and nailed the submission. BRADDOCK- F After he missed an uppercut he didnt seem to have much else to offer. 265 lb Division Williamson vs Miranovic Boro Miranovic tried to set the place, securing the takedown and fishing relentlessly for submissions, but Carl Williamson weathered the storm and countered with a perfectly executed submission of his own. WILLiAMSON- A A well thought out ground game earned him the victory. MIRANOVIC- C- He got the takedown and was winning the round, but wasn't able to come out on top this time. 205 lb Division Petrosyan vs Browne Youngster Simon Browne stepped in to fight veteran Grevorg Petrsyan on short notice, and got some valuable in-cage experience. Ten seconds of it. PETROSYAN- A What else needs said? KO of the Night BROWNE- F We didn't get to see much from him. Still, He gets an "A" for effort. And that's a wrap for REVO-4! See you at Camp Wars!
  15. Belfort: Sorry to interject, but I just heard that question. Yes, I believe I have a long career ahead of me pummeling the mentally deficient as well as children. Maybe eventually I will work my way up to beating on the elderly, but who knows? For now I'm focused on my contest against a child.
  16. Belfort: Far as I go, I got a win, but I basically beat up an out of shape bum. Now I'm going to beat up a kid. I'm all for padding my record; that's how stars are born.
  17. CAMP WARS BREAKDOWN TWO: 170 LB NON-TITLE FIGHT ALBERT DULIN vs WATURU YATSUBUTA Albert Dulin is an up-and-coming grappler with four wins to his credit. At REVO-2, he earned his first win after being a finalist in the QuickFight Tournament, and earned the Submission of the Night honors. He is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu monster, one of the highest ranking BJJ players at REVO. At Camp Wars One he will compete against Waturu Yatsubuta, a Slovakian who picked up his first win at REVO-1, and earned a Sub of the Night award of his own in the process. However, he will probably want to keep this standing. While Dulin has no standup skills to speak of, he has shown a great propensity for getting the fight to the ground and finishing it. Yatsubuta is a more well-rounded fighter, and has standup skills that Dulin is lacking. However, Dulin is savvy and has dealt with more talented strikers than Yatsubuta in the past. I am predicting a first round Submission of the Night bonus for my boy Dulin at the first Camp Wars. Albert Dulin is becoming a beast, and REVO is the perfect place for him to grow. Expect big things from this kid at Camp Wars and in the future. I'm proud to have this kid in my camp.
  18. Dude...that's awesome...
  19. CAMP WARS BREAKDOWN ONE: 155 LB NON-TITLE FIGHT GREER LEONARDSON vs SEANO MAC Leonardson is a brawling blue belt with a propensity to stand up. He's no slouch on the ground, holding a submission victory, but he is capable of powerful knockouts. In this fight, he takes on submission specialist Seano Mac, who has the ability to cause Leonardson some trouble if the fights hit the ground. Greer Leonardson should carry the day for us with his ability to get back to his feet and turn the fight into a brawl. He has already proved himself in dominant fashion here at REVO.
  20. REVO-4 PREVIEW by James Dean REVO-4 is right around the corner, and we have our fourth full ten-fight card on the books. Here is a look at some of the match-ups from my camp in our last event before the first Camp Wars. While none of the fighters from REVO-4 will be in the first camp wars, they may fight their way to a spot in the next cross-camp event. Here is a rundown of my camp's match ups at REVO-4. 265 lb Division FOSTER vs AKULOV Musical-loving fighter Shey Foster broke out of a losing skid on the QFC circuit before joining REVO, and looks to extend into back-to-back win territory against fresh-faced newcomer Mikhail Akulov. Not the most confident fighter, Foster will nonetheless look to utilize superior Muay Thai standup to take home a victory. Akulov is rumored to be a top-control grappler, and will no doubt be looking to keep this fight on the mat, where he has a distinct advantage. 265 lb Division ABC vs BOLEC The oddly-named Project Abc and Zanek Bolec are evenly matched in opposing categories. Abc is rumored to have good hands and wrestling skills, while Bolec displayed great BJJ submission defense and some Muay Thai in his QFC debut. This is the first match at REVO for both men, where the winner will join the shark tank of the 265 division for a top ranking, while the loser will have a lot of ground to make up most likely. Look for a three-round war here. 155 lb Division BRADDOCK vs MORGAN Austin Braddock utilized short clinches and damaging combos to end his first fight in a KO. BJJ specialist Huey Morgan won his first fight via first round submission. Only one man will be able to enforce his strategy at REVO-4, but both of these guys are poised to make an impact in their division. 265 lb Division MIRANOVIC vs WILLIAMSON Boro Miranovic ended his first bout in a first-round KO. Grappler Williamson lost in his first outing, but if he can get the fight to the ground he could change his fortune here at REVO-4. Another classic grappler/striker matchup, and another fight between two young competitors that should be interesting. The 265 lb division will definately be a different proving ground after REVO-4, with three of five fights from my camp coming out of this division. 205 lb Division BROWNE vs PETROSYAN I had a hard time finding a fight for number two LHW Gevorg Petrosyan, but top-notch wrestler Simon Browne stepped up to the plate. If he can wear Petrosyan down, we may have a changing of the guard at REVO. If not, Petrosyan will be on the lookout for another challenger. He can't take the number one spot in my camp until Owen Glyde loses at one of the Camp Wars now, barring unforeseen catastrophes. And that's a wrap! Tune in to REVO-4 for the results, and stay tuned to smack talk for updates on our upcoming Camp Wars, our first title event!
  21. REVO-3 REVIEW All right! Three events have come and gone, all with full cards. Thanks to all of our managers for keeping their fighters under weight and in the right location. Here is my take in my camp's performance at REVO-3. Scarlett vs Bondurant- Will Scarlett showed dominating counter striking ability, capitalizing on every mistake Bondurant made and ending the fight in under forty seconds. Scarlett has established himself at the top of the division. SCARLETT- A Not much more can be said about this excellent performance. BONDURANT- F He got out maneuvered and out struck. Better luck next time. Matei vs Moczala- Mihai Mitai also put on a dominating performance. Moczala tried to grab ahold and stop the torrent of punches, but Matei put him out in under thirty seconds. MATEI- B+ He caught a lot of air for a thirty second fight, but how much can you really criticize a guy who wins in thirty seconds? MOCZALA- F He came to fight and took a beating. He is likely to face Shia Bondurant in the future. Pucci vs Winslow- The more experienced Shane Winslow was able to score an early takedown, but wasn't able to do enough to keep the ref happy, and Pucci capitalized on the standup and swarmed Winslow with strikes for several minutes. Winslow was unable to defend against the rush for long, and Pucci walked away the victor. PUCCI- B+ I question the quick stand up once Pucci gave up the mount. Other than that, Pucci did a great job on the feet and won a legitimate victory. If his manager were more active, he would have had a title shot. WINSLOW- C Winslow did a good job on the ground, but wasn't able to capitalize on his positioning. On the feet, he was unable to mount a successful counter attack and couldn't weather the storm through the first round. However, because he is an experienced veteran with an active manager he still gets the title nod. Oystenteller vs Horvat- Darstknasset Oystenteller once again showed his class and dominance, getting the fight to the ground and doing enough to keep the ref from standing them back up. He didnt get the finish, but he effectively enforced his gameplan. Oystenteller would have had the title shot if he wanted it. OYSTENTELLER- B A solid win, but it's always nice to finish. Plus, he earned a nice fat fight of the night bonus. HORVAT- C Although he lost a decision that was far from close, Horvat was a game competitor who was able to keep Oystenteller from maintaining a truly dangerous position for very long. And he stayed busy from a horrible position for fifteen full minutes. This guy has a lot of heart and with the right training could go very far in MMA. It takes two fighters to earn fight of the night, and Horvat delivered. Narushima vs Kowalski- Kowalski is a hard man, but an early overhand right from Narushima sealed the deal. Kowalski never really recovered, and we had our third fight that ended in less than a minute. A tip of the hat to both of these veteran warriors. Sometimes, you get clipped. NARUSHIMA- A What else can you say? He mixed up his shots and made short work of a very tough opponent. A very impressive showing by the veteran, which earned him KO of the night. KOWALSKI- D He did his best to stay in the game, but he never found his rhythym and got punished for his failure. There will be many chances for him to redeem himself. And that's it for REVO-3! See you later and soon with a preview of REVO-4! And thanks to everyone for replying promptly and keeping your fighters in shape. Your efforts will be rewarded! See you all in the Smack Talk!
  22. Message from manager Snoop Lion: "If it doesn't bother you, I'd like to make my debut against Emmanual "The Baptist" Haysus (218423)." "I saw his last fight... it seemed he didn't really show up. He's a strong wrestler from what I've seen, But if we fight... I will keep it standing and put him out."
  23. REVO-3 Preview by James Dean On the heels of our first two successful events comes REVO-3 at Wild Bob's Bar. This is the last event before Camp Wars, so I'm sure our guys will be looking to prove something and earn a spot in the title fights. So without further ado, here are the fights lined up for my camp at REVO-3. 155 lb. Division SHIA BONDURANT vs WILL SCARLETT Both of these young fighters had impressive debuts. Will Scarlett is the favorite on paper, but Bondurant has some tricks up his sleeve and will be no easy mark. Both men aggressively look to finish fights, and the winner will be the man to beat in the Dean Camp 155 lb division. 155 lb Division MIHAI MATEI vs KLAUDIA MOCZALA In a classic striker/grappler matchup, Muay Thai standout Mihai Matei will try to remain undefeated against "Aggressor." Moczala is coming to REVO off of a loss on the QuickFight circuit, but he has also proven his ability to lock in a submission victory. It will be interesting to see which fighter enforces his game plan in this bout. 265 lb. Division HUGH PUCCI vs SHANE WINSLOW Two of REVO's veteran fighters will take to the cage in this battle. Pucci is a boxer with a 6-9 record currently riding a SIX fight losing streak. He will try to end that here, but a victory against Winslow won't come easily. Winslow is a grappler, also coming off of a QuickFight circuit loss. Both men have BJJ blue belts, and both have a lot to lose if they drop this fight. 170 lb. Division ZLATKO HORVAT vs DARSTKNASSET OYSTENTELLER In a contest between two of the more interestingly named fighters at REVO, Oystenteller will look to extend his four fight win streak against kickboxer Zlatko Horvat. Oystenteller possesses some wicked ground and pound, which brought him a victory in the QuickFight Tournament. Horvat will look to derail the young star and take a place near the top of the division. 205 lb. Division SHAWN KOWALSKI vs RYO NARUSHIMA These two veterans will each be looking to end a losing streak coming in to REVO. Kowalski will be looking to use his superior hands to overcome the Muay Thai and wrestling of Narushima. One of these guys will be sent near the bottom of a very tough division, while the winner will likely get a shot a a fight for the number two spot in the division. Expect these guys to put on a show; there is a lot at stake for both fighters. And that's my look at REVO-3. With Camp Wars looming around the corner, expect these guys to really step it up and put on a show. We look forward to seeing everyone compete, and we look forward to hearing from you on the forums! See you in the cage!
  24. I admire your candor, sir. Who would you fight from my camp?
