  1. So his heart prevented him from getting TKO and that's why all the elbows missed because if one connected he would have been finished? Does that mean that the elbows didn't do any damage at all? Shouldn't he still get hit but simply not get tko'd? Would the same have happend with normal strikes that could've knocked him out eventually?
  2. Link to the fight http://www.mmatycoon.com/fightcommentary.php?FTID=776120 My guy rocked his opponent with elbows and then had 100% miss rate with his elbows (a few dozen elbow attempts at tleast) directly after he rocked him. However, as soon as his opponent wasn't rocked anymore he started landing almost all elbow attempts again. This looks to me like it is a bug.
  3. Should you add any banners to the photos, just make sure it doesn't violate any copyright laws. A header or even a pop-up (although noone likes them) would probably be better.
  4. When creating a fighter, the game should suggest a random city of the selected country as the fighters hometown. Often times you need to think or google for a moment, just because you want to create a fighter from a country that you don't know that well and need city. Well, and sometimes it ends like this one or that one. It really takes away from the immersion. And maybe enforce a captial letter at the beginning of the city name? If databases for city names are not readily avaible, at least add the capital cities. I'd rather read "Tokio" instead of "q".
  5. (Actual Link to fight in question : http://mmatycoon.com/fightcommentary.php?FTID=601193) Congrats you got the win anyways. It makes lots of sense that Wrestling and Muay Thai are important the fighters get a hold of each other. Did you tell Mike that the "clinch" banner should be added to this?
  6. I would let him have at least one fight early, so that you can see some hiddens. I would think it has to suck, if you train someone until he is 22 (so for more than one real life year) only to find out that he has a glass chin/cuts easily/can knock someone out for his life/has no heart at all,

    JET

Why would you want so sell a fricking !!JET!! ? No, seriously, you can probably use a jet for the rest of your carrer, so for the sake of the game for the rest of your life. Why would you trade the long term benefit for some short term benefit? (And having a private jet must be really awesome!)

    JET

Ahh, my next spin is going to be as lucky! ... I hope...
  9. PeterPancake

    JET

how many spins did you take to get that lucky? Jesus, I had no luck in the past with those spins.

Pretty close, but you forgot to randomly forget spaces. I almost had no trouble reading your post, REALLY unrealistic. Also you used an actual syntax. omg yur speliiz mi eyzmakin bled XD ;-) would hit it though
  11. I think it would make a lot of sense. In rl MMA some guys seem to be very good in the "scramble" area of the game. Maybe Escapes could make you get a better position if you get taken down. But the clinch aspect might favour clinchers a tat to much.

    IQ Test

I can confirm that, maybe 125 is the border? Some real life definitions use 125 irrc.

    IQ Test

Is it really THAT important then? The submission part seems important, like chin on the ground, but countering is supposed to be a good strategy anyways...
  14. So it is more like meta game? If I understand what has been said correctly, the weight doesn't really matter, only the BMI does. Can anyone confirm this?
  15. I feel like people are missing my point. I wanted to ask, if one can deduct by the flavor text that wrestling is more effective (in game, as in gives more Transition and Defensive Grappling) on top than on bottom. So that 12 wrestling is worth less than 12 BJJ for i.e. transitions if you are on your back
  16. Makes sense to me. But maybe a temporary bonus for the total hype of the fight and a winner takes it all approach, that the winner of the rematch get twice the hype+pop bonus?
  17. Do you mean how much weight you should cut? I am wondering the same: I read that weight doesn't really help with strength, so is it even worth it at all to cut weight?
  18. depends on the time of draw. if it was close/exciting then yes.
  19. I think a additional skill for it would be overkill. A BJJ-guy should be able to land an occasional flying sub against a pure boxer who has never been on the ground. Maybe it would be random and rare(think slams)? Like yyyy is looking for a double, but what is that? xxxx has got a hold of his neck, he jumped guard with a choke. yyyy is forced to tap - nice awareness by xxxx. xxxx has got a hold of yyyy's leg. Can he finish the single? Oh, he has dropped back for a nasty heel-hook. yyyy is SCREAMING in pain. This is it! Beautiful submission.
  20. What about spa days or, for morale and physical regeneration after a hefty fight, a short trip to a tropical island?
  21. That's a very kind offer. But what can a mentorship do for me? I like exchanging knowledge and discussing it openly. In the long run, every one is saved from mistakes and errors and gains new knowledge. It don't really like that "behind closed doors" approach. Btw, I know it doesn't mean much, but why is your forums reputation so bad? Anyways, how many people do you - the more experienced guys - estimate to lurk the forums? I would have thought that many managers disregard it and therefore wouldn't notice if new knowledge is shared here, so the forum reading guys prevail. @zatochi725: okay, so I didn't screw all my projects up Didn't you write the forum guide on that?
  22. Most of the time someone goes down to that, he has taken lots of punishment in that area. If someone took 20 knees in the clinch, a hard body punch might drop him later on. Same with leg kicks, one won't do the trick, but kicking, kneeing the same spot over and over and over will just destroy the leg. Maybe in the future smart fighters may be able to score extra damage by targeting the same area? Although this might be too much work.
  23. I would like to see such a fight in real life It must look funny if one guy is shooting all the time for five minutes
  24. Yeah, but the "BJJ will be OP"-argument is weak in my opinion. You can balance it just like everything else and it happens very often in the UFC, so it should be in the game as well.
  25. So he was running after you until you turned around and knocked him out?
