  1. Jack Milpid: Many people probably don't think that I deserve to fight for the title but I'm going to prove all of them wrong. On December 20th, I'm going to submit my opponent and take his belt. He's never faced a grappler of my caliber and on the night of our fight, I will show everyone why you should never look past me. To my opponent, cherish that belt while you still have it because pretty soon it's going to be mine.
  2. Wednesday Wars 50 Preview Jupiter Jones(22-13, 3-1 CONFLICTION) vs Meat Loaf(31-10, 8-2 2NC CONFLICTION) In our main event of the evening, five-time Fight of the Night winner, Jupiter Jones, looks to make it four in a row when he takes on former bantamweight champion, Meat Loaf. Jones is currently riding a three fight winning streak so if he’s victorious in this matchup, he could very well earn a title shot. His opponent, Loaf, lost the 135 lbs belt in his last fight so he will surely be hungry to erase that loss from his memory and get back into title contention. These two men actually fought once already back in May, with Loaf picking up the unanimous decision win, so it will be interesting to see who has improved the most since the last time they met. The way I see it, Jones has improved quite a bit since his last loss but I don’t think it will be enough to get the win. I see Loaf using his strong wrestling and improved striking to outwork his opponent and score another hard fought judges decision. My Prediction: Meat Loaf via Unanimous Decision Uruhara Hatake(13-8, 6-6 1NC) vs Colin Burton(19-20-2, 4-4 CONFLICTION) In our co-main event of the evening, former bantamweight champ, Uruhara Hatake, looks to get back to his winning ways when he steps in the cage against fan favorite, Colin Burton. Both men have struggled with consistency recently so a win here is critical if they want to stay relevant in the division. This fight is a bit of a toss up but I’m leaning towards Burton. If Burton can keep this fight in the clinch, he should be able to dominate this fight and win the decision. My Prediction: Colin Burton via Unanimous Decision Frank Gibiatti(8-4-1, 3-1-1 CONFLICTION) vs Vo Nguyen Giap(20-15-2, 4-3-1 CONFLICTION) Up next, former featherweight champion, Frank Gibiatti, looks to get back on track towards getting his belt back when he squares off against devastating striker, Vo Nguyen Giap. Both men are coming off disappointing losses so expect each of them to be hungry to get back in the win column. This will be a back and forth fight but I think that Gibiatti can use his high level striking skills to pick his shots and either score the win via strikes or pick up the decision win. My Prediction: Frank Gibiatti via Unanimous Decision Paul Harris(13-6, 2-1 CONFLICTION) vs Tat Moh(9-2, 1-1 CONFLICTION) Taking things over to the light heavyweight division, BJJ black belt, Paul Harris, faces off against seasoned grappler, Tat Moh. Both men prefer to fight on the ground so fans can expect a highly technical grappling match between these two. This one could go either way but I’m picking Moh based on his extensive professional grappling background. Moh will either outpoint his opponent are eventually find the submission. My Prediction: Tat Moh via Submission (Round 2) Kalesh Nikov(24-16, 0-1 CONFLICTION) vs Walter Sullivan(14-8, 3-3 CONFLICTION) In our next fight of the night, heavy handed, Kalesh Nikov, seeks out his first win under the CONFLICTION banner when he takes on well rounded, Walter Sullivan. Both men have a wide arsenal of skills so it’s anyones guess where this fight might take place. In my opinion, if Nikov takes this fight to the ground and utilizes his dominant top game, he should be able to put his opponent away with his ground and pound. My Prediction: Kalesh Nikov via TKO (Round 3) Bernard Benton(12-6, 8-5 CONFLICTION) vs Alex Trager(12-3-1, 1-2 CONFLICTION) Up next, knockout artist, Bernard Benton, squares off against submission ace, Alex Trager. This is a standard striker versus grappler match up so the winner will most likely be determined by whoever can execute their gameplan effectively. The way I see it, if Trager is able to drag this fight to the ground, he will overwhelm his opponent and eventually submit him. My Prediction: Alex Trager via Submission (Round 3) Juan Cabrillo(8-3, 5-3 CONFLICTION) vs David Taylor(11-4, 4-3 CONFLICTION) Taking the action over to the welterweight division, former champ, Juan Cabrillo, faces off against knockout specialist, David Taylor. Both men have tendencies to stand and bang which should please fans and critics alike. This one could come down to simply who lands first but I’m going with Cabrillo based on the fact that I think he is the more technical striker between the two. Look for Cabrillo to fight smart and possibly mix in a takedown or two in order to pick his opponent apart and earn the judges decision. My Prediction: Juan Cabrillo via Unanimous Decision Roger Wabbit(14-5, 2-2 CONFLICTION) vs Mordecai Wollsey(26-21-1, 5-5-1 CONFLICTION) In our second fight of the evening, former MFN champion, Roger Wabbit, takes on heavy handed, Mordecai Wollsey. Both men are coming off tough losses so it’s critical that these men put on a memorable fight if they want to secure their jobs. In my opinion, Wollsey should be a little bit better than his opponent wherever this fight takes place, which will allow him to control the pace of the fight and eventually find the late finish. My Prediction: Mordecai Wollsey via TKO (Round 3) Michael Jones(16-7, 1-1 CONFLICTION) vs Lee Wilson(17-9, 1-1 CONFLICTION) Kicking off our fight card, former VERSUS champion, Michael Jones, looks to continue the momentum after a big win when he squares off against seasoned striker, Lee Wilson. Both men have brutal knockout power so this fight could end in the blink of an eye. In a fight like this which will take place primarily on the feet, I’m picking Jones based on his superior stand up. Look for Jones to pick his shots and eventually put him away with his strikes. My Prediction: Michael Jones via TKO (Round 2) -Ace Koozie
  3. CONFLICT LVII Preview Thor Skarsgard(29-12, 8-3 CONFLICTION) vs Jaakko Parantainen(19-10, 3-0 CONFLICTION) In our main event of the evening, heavyweight champion, Thor Skarsgard, looks to defend his belt when he steps in the cage against the challenger, Jaakko Parantainen. With a combined 41 knockouts between them, I doubt this fight goes the distance. The way I see it, this fight should stay mainly on the feet where Skarsgard has the advantage. Expect Skarsgard to come out aggressive and put his opponent away early. My Prediction: Thor Skarsgard via TKO (Round 1) Gabriel Lewis(13-2, 5-1 CONFLICTION) vs John Bourne(28-12-1, 3-1 CONFLICTION) In our co-main event of the evening, former heavyweight champ, Gabriel Lewis, looks to get back in the win column when he takes on nine-time Fight of the Night winner, John Bourne. Lewis is coming off his first CONFLICTION loss, a rough TKO defeat which also made him lose the belt. Lewis will be looking to get back to his winning ways while Bourne will be hoping to capitalize on a big opportunity by fighting a big name. Bourne is tough but I don’t see him getting past Lewis. Lewis will come out swinging and Bourne simply won’t be able to handle his opponent’s aggression. Expect Lewis to land something big early in the first round. My Prediction: Gabriel Lewis via Knockout (Round 1) Nick Fury(21-8-1, 2-0 CONFLICTION) vs Nero Padilla(10-1, 6-1 CONFLICTION) Taking things over to the middleweight division, heavy handed, Nick Fury plans on defending the 185 lbs strap when he squares off against well rounded, Nero Padilla. Both men have fan-friendly fighting styles so this should be a very entertaining championship matchup. This will be a very close fight but I’m leaning towards Padilla. I think that Padilla can mix up his attack throughout the fight, keep his opponent guessing, and win a hard fought decision win. My Prediction: Nero Padilla via Unanimous Decision Steve Dragon(14-3, 1-1 CONFLICTION) vs Dongdong Wong(16-7, 1-1 CONFLICTION) Up next, knockout specialist, Steve Dragon, faces off against former UPF champion, Dongdong Wong. Both men are coming off huge first round knockout wins so it will be interesting to see who can continue their momentum. This fight could end in the blink of an eye but I’m going with Wong, based on the fact that I think he can take this fight to the clinch and dominate his opponent. Look for Wong to handle this fight in the clinch and sooner or later score the finish. My Prediction: Dongdong Wong via TKO (Round 2) Pol Cuaresma liii(17-6, 5-3 CONFLICTION) vs Dontae Sheldon(19-6, 3-1 CONFLICTION) In our next fight of the evening, heavy handed, Pol Cuaresma liii, faces boxing expert, Dontae Sheldon. Both men are striking experts so fans can expect a fast paced stand up war between these two. This one could be very close but I’m picking Sheldon based on the fact that I believe he can stay on the outside, pick his shots, and outwork his opponent en route to a decision victory. My Prediction: Dontae Sheldon via Unanimous Decision Michael Mauti(19-10, 4-1 CONFLICTION) vs Johnny Reach(11-3, 5-1 CONFLICTION) Up next, former title challenger, Michael Mauti, takes on fan favorite, Johnny Reach. Both men have a wide arsenal of skills so this fight could take place anywhere. This could be a very close fight but I think that if Reach utilizes his massive boxing advantage, he will be too much for his opponent and either score the knockout or earn the decision win. My Prediction: Johnny Reach via Unanimous Decision Gennaro Gattuso(13-3, 6-1 CONFLICTION) vs Teddy Jackson(14-5, 5-2 CONFLICTION) Taking the action over to the lightweight division, well rounded, Gennaro Gattuso, looks to make it seven in a row when he squares off against, knockout artist, Teddy Jackson. This fight could go either way but I’m picking Gattuso based on the fact that I think he can drag this fight to the ground and use his superior wrestling to control his opponent and win a rather lopsided judges decision. My Prediction: Gennaro Gattuso via Unanimous Decision Scott Fleming(16-14, 3-3 CONFLICTION) vs Robert Beckett(18-8, 0-0 CONFLICTION) In our next fight, well rounded, Scott Fleming, faces off against promotional newcomer, Robert Beckett. Both men are very experienced so it will be interesting to see two MMA vets square off. This one could go either way but I think that if Beckett comes out aggressive on the feet, it will be enough to throw off his opponent and put him away. My Prediction: Robert Beckett via TKO (Round 2) Fullsize Mirror(28-15, 0-0 CONFLICTION) vs Kelly Leak(13-8, 6-2 CONFLICTION) In our second fight of the evening, former RPG FC light heavyweight champ, Fullsize Mirror, takes on heavy handed, Kelly Leak. Mirror is a solid addition to the CONFLICTION roster but I believe that Leak’s promotional experience will give him the edge. Look for Leak to utilize his strong stand up against Mirror and eventually find the finish. My Prediction: Kelly Leak via TKO (Round 1) Matthew Godbolt(13-7-1, 2-3-1 CONFLICTION) vs Rubin Carter(21-9-1, 3-3 CONFLICTION) Kicking off our night of action, submission ace, Matthew Godbolt, faces off against fan favorite, Rubin Carter. On paper, this appears to be a standard striker versus grappler match up so it could all come down to who can utilize the more effective gameplan. In my opinion, Carter will most likely have more tricks up his sleeve which will allow him to mix up his attack and pick his opponent apart for the majority of the fight. My Prediction: Rubin Carter via Unanimous Decision -Ace Koozie
  4. Wednesday Wars 49 Preview Dutch Gallows(11-5, 0-1 CONFLICTION) vs Charles Cooper(18-13, 4-3 CONFLICTION) In our main event of the evening, striking expert, Dutch Gallows, seeks out his first win under the CONFLICTION banner when he steps in the cage with former title contender, Charles Cooper. Gallows came up short in his promotional debut so fans can expect him to come into this fight hungry to get in the win column and live up to his potential. His opponent, Cooper, has had some bad luck since coming up short in his attempt at the welterweight title, but he hopes to put that aside and put on a performance that will bring him back up to the top rank of the division. This fight could go either way but I’m leaning towards Gallows. Expect Gallos to come out aggressive and finish his opponent early with one of his signature head kicks. My Prediction: Dutch Gallows via Knockout (Round 1) Mike Stevens(18-11, 1-1 CONFLICTION) vs Fenix Espada(12-3, 4-2 CONFLICTION) In our co-main event of the evening, former NWO light heavyweight champion, Mike Stevens, squares off against Muay Thai specialist, Fenix Espada. I would say that Espada has the superior stand up between the two but Stevens is a bit more well rounded so it will definitely be interesting to see who can execute the more effective gameplan. In my opinion, Stevens would be smart if he relied on his wrestling here. If Stevens scores with takedowns, not allowing Espada to find his striking rhythm, he will control his opponent and find the finish with his ground and pound. My Prediction: Mike Stevens via TKO (Round 1) Tyrone Wallace(22-15, 4-2 CONFLICTION) vs Marcus Maven(16-7, 5-2 CONFLICTION) Taking the action over to the bantamweight division, well rounded, Tyrone Wallace, steps in the cage for a rematch against technical striker, Marcus Maven. The last time these two men fought, Wallace used his superior ground game to dominate Maven and earn a lopsided decision win. Both men have improved since then, so we could be in store for a much more competitive fight in this matchup. The way I see it, Maven won’t be as easy of a fight, but Wallace will still capitalize on his grappling advantage and use his wrestling to be the more active fighter and earn a hard fought decision victory. My Prediction: Tyrone Wallace via Unanimous Decision Hunter Akbar(18-2, 4-1 CONFLICTION) vs Mark Boxer(9-8, 2-2 CONFLICTION) In our next fight of the evening, well rounded, Hunter Akbar, looks to make it three in a row when he faces off against former SFC middleweight champ, Mark Boxer. Both men are coming off some big wins so whoever walks away victorious in this one might get a big leap forward in the 185 lbs rankings. In a fight like this where one fighter possesses such a wide array of skills such as Akbar, that fighter should be able to capitalize on his opponent’s weaknesses in their game. Expect Akbar to focus mainly on his grappling to control Boxer and do enough to score the judges decision. My Prediction: Hunter Akbar via Unanimous Decision Ric Flores(9-5, 5-1 CONFLICTION) vs Street Swag(10-3, 2-1 CONFLICTION) Up next, fan favorite, Ric Flores, steps in the cage against knockout artist, Street Swag. Both men are coming off impressive victories so they should each carry some momentum into this fight. Flores is most likely the more complete fighter between the two but I think that Swag will win this one with his striking game. Swag will have to weather the storm and avoid his opponent’s takedowns, but I see him eventually landing something big and finishing the fight. My Prediction: Street Swag via TKO (Round 2) Gabriel Zagorno(20-14, 3-2 CONFLICTION) vs David Luiz(17-15-1, 2-2-1 CONFLICTION) In our second fight of the evening, BJJ black belt, Gabriel Zagorno, faces off against seasoned wrestler, David Luiz. Both men are grappling experts so fans can expect a highly technical match on the ground between these two fighters. This one could go either way but I think that Luiz is the more powerful fighter, which will allow him to be more dominant on the ground. Add on Luiz’s high level defensive grappling which should prevent Zagorno from finding the submission, Luiz should be able to get the better of his opponent on the ground and win the decision. My Prediction: David Luiz via Unanimous Decision Igor Crazy(16-14-2, 6-5 CONFLICTION) vs Manya Kizz(21-13, 0-0 CONFLICTION) Kicking off our night of fights, CONFLICTION vet, Igor Crazy, squares off against promotional newcomer, Manya Kizz. Crazy and Kizz both possess some serious power in their hands so this fight could end in the blink of an eye. Due to Crazy’s recent string of losses, I’m finsing it hard to pick him to win. I think that Kizz will come out aggressive and make short work of his opponent. My Prediction: Manya Kizz via TKO (Round 1) -Ace Koozie
  5. CONFLICT LVI Preview Meat Loaf(31-9, 8-1 2NC CONFLICTION) vs Fantinaz Del Norte(15-6-1, 1-0 CONFLICTION) In our main event of the evening, bantamweight champion, Meat Loaf, looks to defend his belt against the challenger, Fantinaz Del Norte. Both men are grappling experts so it will be interesting to see how they interact on the ground. The way I see it, Norte is a solid threat to Loaf's belt but it will be the champ's experience edge that will earn him the win. Look for Loaf to take his opponent down and use his ground and pound to wear him down, eventually finishing him. My Prediction: Meat Loaf via TKO (Round 3) Kuma Nelson(21-5, 1-1 CONFLICTION) vs Edgar Hoover(22-9, 2-3 CONFLICTION) In our co-main event of the evening, accomplished striker, Kuma Nelson, looks to make it two in a row when he squares off against knockout specialist, Edgar Hoover. Both men prefer to keep their fights on the feet so this should be an exciting matchup for the fans. This one could go either way but I’m going with Nelson. If Nelson fights smart and picks his shots, he will outstrike his opponent and eventually put him away. My Prediction: Kuma Nelson via TKO (Round 2) Arthur Faulk(18-5, 6-2 CONFLICTION) vs Miyamoto Musashi(10-8, 3-1 CONFLICTION) Taking things over to the welterweight division, former FFCS champion, Arthur Faulk, faces off against heavy handed, Miyamoto Musashi. Both men have looked very impressive lately so whoever comes out on top in this one will most likely receive a big step up in competition. Both men have a good shot at winning this fight but I’m picking Faulk. I think that Faulk will come out aggressive and find the stoppage early. My Prediction: Arthur Faulk via Knockout (Round 1) Rex Tyler(29-10, 5-2 CONFLICTION) vs Unigu Rege(17-9, 4-1 CONFLICTION) Up next, former bantamweight champ, Rex Tyler, takes on seasoned grappler, Unigu Rege. Tyler and Rege are both ground specialists so fans can expect a highly technical grappling match between these two. In a fight like this, I’m picking Tyler based on his championship experience. Tyler will be the more active fighter on the ground and do enough to earn the decision. My Prediction: Rex Tyler via Unanimous Decision Kert Nigobson(18-9, 4-1 CONFLICTION) vs Combat Jack(9-2, 2-1 CONFLICTION) In our next fight of the evening, former light heavyweight champion, Kert Nigobson, looks to get back to his winning ways when he steps in the cage against seasoned striker, Combat Jack, who is coming off back to back wins. Both men are notorious for their aggressiveness on the feet so this fight could end in the blink of an eye. This fight could go either way but I’m going with Nigobson, based on his superior striking. I think that these two will duke it out on the feet but sooner or later, Nigobson will land something big and end the fight. My Prediction: Kert Nigobson via Knockout (Round 3) Frank Gibiatti(8-3-1, 2-0-1 CONFLICTION) vs Mega Funkyama(20-6, 1-0 CONFLICTION) Up next, featherweight champion, Frank Gibiatti, seeks out his first successful title defense when he squares off against well rounded, Mega Funkyama. Both men have a wide array of skills so it’s anyones guess where this fight takes place. The way I see it, if Gibiatti relies on his advanced stand up, he will outstrike his opponent and earn a hard fought judges decision. My Prediction: Frank Gibiatti via Unanimous Decision Duck Tycoon(15-7, 6-4 CONFLICTION) vs Norbert Grupe(18-9, 1-2 CONFLICTION) In our next fight of the night, fan favorite, Duck Tycoon, looks to continue the momentum after a big win when he faces off against knockout artist, Norbert Grupe. Both men are strikers at heart so fans can expect a fast paced scrap on the feet between these two. This will be a very close fight but I’m going with Tycoon. I think that Tycoon will be the smarter fighter here and he will use more technical striking to pick his opponent apart for the majority of the fight. My Prediction: Duck Tycoon via Unanimous Decision Mike Henderson(26-10-4, 6-1-2 CONFLICTION) vs Eliah Marshal(16-7, 4-1 CONFLICTION) Moving the action over to the lightweight division, 155 lbs champ, Mike Henderson, looks to defend his belt against Eliah Marshal, who has had seven of his sixteen wins end by way of knockout. Though Marshal is a serious contender, I don’t see him dethroning the champ. Henderson is going to mix up his attack and dominate his opponent, cruising to a decision win. My Prediction: Mike Henderson via Unanimous Decision Vo Nguyen Giap(20-14-2, 4-2-1 CONFLICTION) vs Itor Lamope(22-14-1, 4-0 CONFLICTION) In our second fight of the evening, five time Fight of the Night winner, Vo Nguyen Giap, takes on Itor Lamope, who holds a perfect 4-0 record in CONFLICTION. The way I see it, if Lamope drags this fight to the ground, he will smother his opponent and soften him up with ground and pound, leading to a rather one sided decision win. My Prediction: Itor Lamope via Unanimous Decision Jupiter Jones(21-13, 2-1 CONFLICTION) vs Colin Burton(19-19-2, 4-3 CONFLICTION) Kicking off our night of action, knockout specialist, Jupiter Jones, faces former ICON champ, Colin Burton. In my opinion, I think that Jones has the skills to overwhelm his opponent on the feet, swarm him, and find the stoppage due to strikes. My Prediction: Jupiter Jones via TKO (Round 2) -Ace Koozie
  6. Due to scheduled conflicts, I will not be able to post previews for the next week. I apologize for the inconvenience but I will be back soon. -Ace Koozie
  7. CONFLICT LIV Preview Gabriel Lewis(13-1, 5-0 CONFLICTION) vs Thor Skarsgard(28-12, 7-3 CONFLICTION) In our main event of the evening, heavyweight champion, Gabriel Lewis, looks to defend his belt when he steps in the cage against the challenger, Thor Skarsgard. With a combined 41 knockouts between them, I doubt this fight goes the distance. Both men have heavy hands and either of them could go down at any moment. The way I see it, even though Skarsgard has more experience, Lewis should have the skills to take this one. Expect Lewis to come out aggressive and finish his opponent early. My Prediction: Gabriel Lewis via Knockout (Round 1) Torrelio Sacana(20-5, 2-1 CONFLICTION) vs Brande Eideann(13-5, 5-2 CONFLICTION) In our co-main event of the evening, submission specialist, Torrelio Sacana, looks to make it three wins in a row when he squares off against former light heavyweight champ, Brande Eideann. Both men are known for their dominant grounds games, so this one should be a highly technical grappling match. This one could go either way but I’m leaning towards Sacana. I think that Sacana has the submission skills to overwhelm his opponent and sooner or later score the tapout win. My Prediction: Torrelio Sacana via Submission (Round 3) Jaako Parantainen(18-10, 2-0 CONFLICTION) vs Ayrton Pena Milani(17-8, 6-1 COFLICTION) Up next, well rounded, Jaako Parantainen, looks to improve his CONFLICTION record to 3-0 when he takes on knockout specialist, Ayrton Pena Milani. Both men have a high finishing rate so this fight could very well end at any moment. I wouldn’t be surprised if either man took the victory here but I’m going with Milani. I see Milani keeping the action on the feet and finish his opponent with strikes. My Prediction: Ayrton Pena Milani via Knockout (Round 1) Mike Henderson(25-10-4, 5-1-2 CONFLICTION) vs Ivan Kozlov(22-14, 4-1 CONFLICTION) Taking things over to the lightweight division, former champion, Mike Henderson, looks to get back to his winning ways when he faces off against former professional kickboxer, Ivan Kozlov. Henderson and Kozlov have each been with the organization for quite some time so it will be interesting to see how these two promotional vets interact with each other. The way I see it, even though Henderson has championship experience, I see Kozlov as the more all around fighter and I think that he will be able to mix up his attack and outwork Henderson for the majority of the fight. My Prediction: Ivan Kozlov via Unanimous Decision Bubba Gump(21-14, 1-1 CONFLICTION) vs Matt Mattews(12-5, 1-2 CONFLICTION) In our next fight of the evening, well rounded, Bubba Gump, squares off against BJJ black belt, Matt Matthews. Both men have struggled with some consistency issues so a win here is important if they want to stay relevant in the heavyweight division. The way I see it, if Matthews relies on his superior ground game, he will dominate his opponent and eventually score the submission win. My Prediction: Matt Matthews via Submission (Round 1) Dutch Gallows(11-4, 0-0 CONFLICTION) vs Duck Tycoon(14-7, 5-4 CONFLICTION) Moving the action over to the welterweight division, promotional newcomer, Dutch Gallows, faces CONFLICTION vet, Duck Tycoon. In a fight like this, it will be fascinating to see how much the experience factor helps Tycoon and if Gallows will be able to handle the pressures of fighting on a big stage such as CONFLICTION. While Gallows is a solid signing for CONFLICTION, I think that Tycoon will outwork his opponent and score the technical knockout win. My Prediction: Duck Tycoon via TKO (Round 2) Jupiter Jones(20-13, 1-1 CONFLICTION) vs Gabriel Zagorno(20-13, 3-1 CONFLICTION) Up next, knockout artist, Jupiter Jones, looks to continue the momentum after a big TKO win when he faces off against submission ace, Gabriel Zagorno. This is a typical striker versus grappler match up so the winner will most likely be determined by whoever can utilize the superior gameplan. In my opinion, as long as Zagorno drags the fight to the ground, he will use his strong grappling technique to overwhelm his opponent and score the judges decision. My Opinion: Gabriel Zagorno via Unanimous Decision Scott Fleming(15-14, 2-3 CONFLICTION) vs Fenix Espada(12-2, 4-1 CONFLICTION) Continuing the action in the middleweight division, heavy handed, Scott Fleming, takes on Muay Thai expert, Fenix Espada. Espada is known for his technical striking ability while Fleming prefers to take his opponents down and put them away with ground and pound. The way I see it, Espada should have the skills to avoid his opponent's ground game and pick him apart on the feet, resulting in an eventual TKO. My Prediction: Feniz Espada via TKO (Round 2) Leonardo DeRosa(11-9, 2-1 CONFLICTION) vs Franky Syn(14-8, 2-0 CONFLICTION) In our second fight of the evening, fan favorite, Leonardo DeRosa, faces off against Franky Syn, who is unbeaten in CONFLICTION. Both men are known for their strong striking styles so fans can expect a fast paced scrap on the feet in this match up. In my opinion, Syn should be able to take his opponent's strongest strikes while dealing out his own. Syn will score the stoppage on the feet early in the fight. My Prediction: Franky Syn via Knockout (Round 1) Miguel Hernandez(11-8, 1-0 CONFLICTION) vs Vo Nguyen Giap(19-14-2, 3-2-1 CONFLICTION) Kicking off our night of fights, well rounded, Miguel Hernandez looks to improve his CONFLICTION record to 2-0 when he squared off against four-time Fight of the Night winner, Vo Nguyen Giap. I'm going with Giap based on his experience advantage. I see Giap mixing up his attack, keep his opponent guessing and earning a hard fought decision win. My Prediction: Vo Nguyen Giap via Unanimous Decision -Ace Koozie
  8. Before he steps in the cage to defend his heavyweight belt, I gad a chance to catch up with Gabriel Lewis and ask him a few questions regarding his upcoming fight. Here's what he had to say: Q: You have been very dominant in your CONFLICTION career so far. What can you attribute this to? A: "This is where I should probably credit and thank coaches and family and blah blah blah, but truth is I'm just one beastly mother... you get the point. My success comes from being genetically superior to my competition." Q. Having finished all of your fights so far, does that add any sort of pressure? Do you feel that you need to live up to your reputation and put on a good performance or is it more important to simply get the job done no matter what? A: "I don't put much thought into how I perform. I've placed myself in a spot where I throw fists and my opponents go to sleep. So I don't feel any pressure or worry about my performance." Q: Your opponent, Thor Skarsgard, has also finished all of his fights by way of knockout. Does that make you a bit nervous at all? A: "Not at all. He's going to hit the canvas just like the rest of em. He can't knock me out as long as I get my hands on him first and that's what I plan on doing." Q. What do you think of your opponent? A: "(Chuckles) I respect anyone who walks into the cage but I'm going to make him respect me. I don't know him as a person but I do know he's a good fighter. I also know that I'm a better one." Q. After this fight, what's next for you? Is there any other fighter that you have your eye on? A: "I feel like the bully walking up to a kid who just spent hours upon hours setting up an elaborate trail of Dominos. They step in front of me and I knock them down. I'll leave it up to management to keep bringing on the weak ones for me to pick on for now. But after a few more wins there is another over-rated tool in a different org I have my eyes on. A potential super fight with Dustin Douglas in the future is my ultimate goal. I'd have no problem proving how much of a useless tool that guy is." Q. Any last words? A: "June 21st! Come out and watch Thor get beat down by the true God carrying a much bigger hammer!" You can catch Lewis defending his title at CONFLICT LIV on Saturday, June 21. -Ace Koozie
  9. Wednesday Wars 46 Preview Steve Dragon(13-3, 0-1 CONFLICTION) vs Julius Africanus(15-3, 8-2 CONFLICTION) In our main event of the evening, former HERITAGE heavyweight champion, Steve Dragon, seeks out his first win under the CONFLICTION banner when he squares off against promotional vet, Julius Africanus. Africanus is currently riding a six-fight winning streak so a win here could possibly put him in title contention. His opponent, Dragon, recently came up short in his CONFLICTION debut so he will have a lot to prove in this fight. This one could go either way but I believe that Dragon has the skills to avoid his opponents strong wrestling game, keep the fight on the feet. and eventually find the finish. My Prediction: Steve Dragon via TKO (Round 2) Tony Rosholt(18-9, 1-2 CONFLICTION) vs Buzz Killington(5-1, 1-1 CONFLICTION) In our co-main event of the evening, knockout specialist, Tony Rosholt, takes on heavy handed, Buzz Killington. Both men are coming off disappointing losses so each of them should come in hoping to get back in the win column. This should be a back and forth fight for however long it last but in the end, I see Killington overwhelming his opponent on the feet and sooner or later putting him away with his striking. My Prediction: Buzz Killington via TKO (Round 2) Alex Trager(11-3-1, 0-2 CONFLICTION) vs Sam Kwaak(24-16, 4-4 CONFLICTION) Moving the action over to the featherweight division, BJJ black belt, Alex Trager, will look to get his first win with CONFLICTION when he faces former champ, Sam Kwaak. Gotti and Lamope have each looked unstoppable lately so it is highly likely that this fight will determine a number one contender. Although Gotti has the striking advantage between the two, I think that Lamope will utilize his grappling to grab the win. Look for Lamope to dominate his opponent with his ground game and either find the stoppage with his ground and pound or lock on a submission. My Prediction: Itor Lamope via Submission (Round 1) Uruhara Hatake(13-6, 6-4 1NC CONFLICTION) vs Gabriel Zagorno(19-13, 2-1 CONFLICTIO) Up next, former bantamweight champion, Uruhara Hatake, faces off against submission ace, Gabriel Zagorno. CONFLICT LII Preview Julio Madrigal(23-8-1, 4-0 CONFLICTION) v Mikael Lindgren(13-5, 4-0 CONFLICTION) *170 lbs title In our main event of the evening, welterweight champion, Julio Madrigal, looks to defend his belt for the fourth consecutive time when he takes on fellow former TWGC competitor, Mikael Lindgren. In terms of competitiveness, this could be the champ's toughest test to date. This will most likely be a highly technical grappling match with both men giving it their all, but eventually I see Madrigal getting the better of his opponent and sooner or later catch him in a submission. My Prediction: Julio Madrigal via Submission (Round 3) Gregory Adams(20-10, 0-0 CONFLICTION) v Jaakko Parantainen(17-10, 1-0 CONFLICTION) In our co-main event of the evening, well rounded, Jaakko Parantainen, looks to capitalize on a big first round TKO win in his CONFLICTION debut, when he faces promotional newcomer, Gregory Adams. Both men possess endless cardio skills, so this one could turn into a fast paced five round war. Mauti is a solid test for the champion but I believe that Al an will keep the belt at the end of this fight. Al an will most likely rely on his superior boxing advantage to outstrike his opponent and either score the knockout or earn a back and forth judges decision. Leak is currently riding a four-fight winning streak, so when he steps in the cage against a former champ such as Gaskins, title implications are surely on the line. This one could go either way but in the end, I see Gaskins being too much for his opponent. Gaskins will most likely come out aggressive and utilize his high level striking to find the finish. My Prediction: Donald Gaskins via Knockout (Round 2) Luis Garavito(17-8, 4-0 CONFLICTION) v Paul Harris(12-5, 1-0 CONFLICTION) In our next fight of the evening, seasoned striker, Luis Garavito, looks to remain unbeaten in CONFLICTION when he faces BJJ black belt, Paul Harris. This could be a typical striker versus grappler match up, so this one might come down to who can utilize their gameplan effectively. Harris has, in fact, shown that he is one of the best ground specialists in the 205 lbs division, but I think that Garavito has the skills to make this his fight. Garavito should be able to keep this fight on the feet where he will outwork his opponent and earn the decision win. Padilla and Noel are each coming off losses so expect both men to come into this fight hungry for a win. This could be a very close fight but in my opinion, Padilla has the skills to take this one. Look for Padilla to mix up his attack and pick his opponent apart for the majority of the fight. My Prediction: Nero Padilla via Unanimous Decision Dawid Rafal(11-4, 1-1 CONFLICTION) v David Taylor(10-3, 3-2 CONFLICTION) In our next fight of the night, striking specialist, Dawid Rafal, faces off against knockout artist, David Taylor. Styles will most likey be able to avoid his opponents shots and eventually find this finish himself. Either way, someone's getting knockout out. My Prediction: Derris Styles via Knockout (Round 1) Bobby Roach( 11-6, 0-0 CONFLICTION) v Pol Cuaresma Iiii(16-5, 4-2 CONFLICTION) In our co-main event of the evening, seasoned grappler, Pol Cuaresma liii, looks to make it three in a row when he takes on promotional newcomer, Bobby Roach. Cuaresma and Roach are both notorious for their deadly ground games, so fans can expect a highly technical grappling match between these two. This will be an extremely close fight but I'm going with Cuaresma based on his edge in experience. As long as Cuaresma stays clear of his opponents submissions, he should be abel to earn a hard fought decision win. My Prediction: Pol Cuaresma liii via Unanimous Decision Jason Yee(16-6, 6-2 CONFLICTION) v Igor Crazy(16-12-2, 6-3 CONFLICTION) Up next, knockout artist, Jason Yee, faces off against well rounded, Igor Crazy. Both men have been with CONFLICTION for quite some time, so there is no doubt that they have faced top notch competition lately. Though Crazy has looked very impressive as of late, I'm leaning towards Yee. I don't think that Crazy will be able to deal with his opponent's striking. Expect Yee to come out aggressive and find the stoppage early on. My Prediction: Jason Yee via TKO (Round 1) Scott Fleming(15-13, 2-2 CONFLICTION) v Victor Sagat(9-3, 3-1 CONFLICTION) Taking the action over to the middleweight division, fan favorite, Scott Fleming, faces former RYZE champion, Victor Sagat. Both men have been a bit up and down recently, so a win here could be critical if they want to stay relevant in the division. Both men are serious sluggers who prefer to duke it our on the feet, which will surely please fans and critics alike. My Prediction: Marcus Maven via Unanimous Decision Archie Fallon(14-7, 2-3 CONFLICTION) v Glen Quagmire(4-0, 2-0 CONFLICTION) In our second fight of the evening, heavy handed, Archie Fallon, takes on undefeated prospect, Glen Quagmire. This is a basic veteran versus newcomer match up so it will be very interesting to see how this one plays out. In my opinion, even though he has less experience, Quagmire should take this one. 14. CONFLICT LI on PPV Preview Gabriel Lewis(12-1, 4-0 CONFLICTION) v Ayrton Pena Milani(17-7, 6-0 CONFLICTION) *265 lbs title In our main event of the evening, heavyweight champion, Gabriel Lewis, looks to defends his belt against the challenger, Ayrton Pena Milani. Lewis won the title in his last fight, knocking out Silent Bob in the first round. Now, he looks to be successful in his first title defense but it won’t be easy against the relentless force that is, Milani. Milani is currently riding a seven-fight winning streak, all of them coming by way of first round knockout/TKO. Milani appears to be in the best shape of his career and winning this title would cement him as one of the best heavyweights in the world. This will be an extremely close fight but I’m leaning towards Lewis due to the fact that I believe he has the better chin. In a matchup between heavy hitters such as this, it could simply come down to who can take the most punishment. Expect these men to engage in some violent exchanges but Lewis will be the one who lands the finishing blow. At the end of this fight, Lewis will remain champion. My Prediction: Gabriel Lewis via Knockout (Round 1) Kain Velazquez(23-5, 0-0 CONFLICTION) v Kert Nigobson(17-8, 3-0 CONFLICTION) In our co-main event of the evening, promotional newcomer, Kain Velasquez, hopes to make a big statement in his CONFLICTION debut when he takes on Kert Nigobson, who won the light heavyweight title in his last fight. Velasquez has won eight of his last nine fights so it’s understandable why he has so much hype surrounding him as he enters his new organization. His opponent, Nigobson, is unbeaten in CONFLICTION and he is confident that this fight will be his third straight finish. Although Nigobson has more experience in CONFLICTION, I think that Velazquez will be too much for him. After a very tough, close fight early on, Velasquez will find the finish later on, proving that the hype is for real. My Prediction: Kain Velasquez via TKO Round 3) Steve Dragon(13-2, 0-0 CONFLICTION) v Doctor Mundo(11-3, 6-2 CONFLICTION) Up next, former HERITAGE champ, Steve Dragon, has high hopes of putting on a good performance in his CONFLICTION debut when he steps in the cage against promotional vet, Doctor Mundo. Both men are notorious for their brutal knockout power, so I wouldn’t expect this matchup to go the full three rounds. Although Dragon is a solid signing for CONFLICTION, I don’t think he will get past Mundo. Look for Mundo to mix up his clinchwork along with his takedowns in order to outwork his opponent and eventually find the stoppage. My Prediction: Doctor Mundo via TKO (Round 2) Thor Skarsgard(27-12, 6-3 CONFLICTION) v Samuel Hard(11-4, 9-4 CONFLICTION) In our next fight of the evening, former heavyweight champion, Thor Skarsgard, faces heavy handed, Samuel Hard. Both men are coming off disappointing losses so expect them to come in hungry to get back in the win column. This one could end with either man being put to sleep but I’m going with Skarsgard. Skarsgard should be able to stay on the outside, pick his shots, and finish his opponent in brutal fashion. My Prediction: Thor Skarsgard via Knockout (Round 1) Silent Bob(13-9, 2-1 CONFLICTION) v Wax Philosophical(8-1, 2-0 CONFLICTION) Up next, elite striker, Wax Philosophical, looks to improve his CONFLICTION record to 3-0 when he takes on former champ, Silent Bob. Philosophical and Bob both possess one-punch knockout ability so this fight could end in the blink of an eye. The way I see it, even though Bob has championship experience, I think that Philosophical takes this one. Expect Philosophical to use his strong stand up skills to overwhelm his opponent and find the finish with strikes. My Prediction: Wax Philosophical via TKO (Round 1) Bethany Noel(17-11, 4-2 CONFLICTION) v Esa Tikkanen(22-6-1, 2-0 CONFLICTION) Up next, Esa Tikkanen looks to remain undefeated in CONFLICTION when he squares off against former professional kickboxer, Bethany Noel. This is a standard striker versus grappler matchup so it will all come down to who can execute their gameplan to it’s full potential. It will be a very close fight but I think it will be Tikkanen’s ground game that will be the game changer in this matchup. As long as Tikkanen relies on his strong grappling, he will get the better of his opponent and grind out a hard fought decision win. My Prediction: Esa Tikkanen via Unanimous Decision Roger Wabbit(14-3, 2-0 CONFLICTION) v Ivan Kozlov(21-14, 3-1 CONFLICTION) Taking things over to the lightweight division, former MFN champion, Roger Wabbit, looks to make it three in a row when he faces knockout artist, Ivan Kozlov. Both men have looked very impressive as of late, so a win here could mean a big leap forward in competition. While Wabbit holds a perfect promotional record, I see Kozlov beating him. Kozlov should be better wherever this fight takes place and he should have the skills to mix up his attack and dominate Wabbit for the majority of the fight. My Prediction: Ivan Kozlov via Unanimous Decision Mike Henderson(25-9-4, 5-0-2 CONFLICTION) v Frank Gibiatti(7-3-1, 1-0-1 CONFLICTION) *145 lbs title Moving the action over to the featherweight division, 145 lbs champ Mike Henderson looks to retain his belt against the challenger, Frank Gibiatti. The last time these two men fought, it ended in a majority draw which earned both fighters Fight of the Night honors. These men have both had some time to improve their styles so it will be interesting to see how different this fight will play out. The way I see it, Henderson has worked his game just enough to edge out a decision. Gibiatti won’t go down without a fight but Henderson will walk away victorious after five hard rounds. My Prediction: Mike Henderson via Split Decision Mega Funkyama(19-6, 0-0 CONFLICTION) v Burt Guth(20-9, 4-2 CONFLICTION) In our second fight of the evening, former TWGC competitor, Mega Funkyama, takes on well rounded, Burt Guth. Both men have a wide array of skills so it’s anyones guess where this fight takes place. It will be a back and forth scrap but I believe that Guth will have enough tricks up his sleeve to outwork his opponent and score the win, most likely utilizing his grappling to do so. My Prediction: Burt Guth via Submission (Round 2) Street Swag(9-3, 1-1 CONFLICTION) v Michael Jones(15-6, 0-0 CONFLICTION) Kicking off CONFLICTIONS pay-per-view, fan favorite, Street Swag, looks to bounce back from a disappointing title attempt when he faces off against promotional newcomer, Michael Jones. Both men are striking experts so fans can expect a fast paced war on the feet in this fight. It will be a very close fight but I think that Swag has the skills to pressure his opponent and find the finish sooner or later. My Prediction: Street Swag via TKO (Round 2) -Ace Koozie
  15. Wednesday Wars 43 Preview Bubba Gump(21-13, 1-0 CONFLICTION) v Hantu Rockamole(11-4, 1-0 CONFLICTION) In our main event of the evening, well rounded, Bubba Gump, squares off against knockout specialist, Hantu Rockamole. Both men are coming off very impressive victories in their CONFLICTION debuts, so a win here could mean a big leap forward in competition. With a combined 28 finishes between them, I doubt this one makes it the full three rounds. Expect both men to come out aggressive but eventually, Rockamole should be able to weather the storm and come out on top. Provided that Rockamole avoids his opponents grappling game and focuses primarily on his dominant dirty boxing skills, he should take this one. My Pediction: Hantu Rockamole via TKO (Round 2) Meat Loaf(29-9, 6-1 2NC CONFLICTION)) v Colin Burton(18-18-2, 3-2 CONFLICTIOM) In our co-main event of the evening, former bantamweight champion, Meat Loaf, looks to make it four in a row when he faces fan favorite, Colin Burton. Loaf and Burton have each had some big wins as of late so whoever comes out on top in this one is surely going to move one step closer to the title. Though Burton has proven he's a top guy at 135 lbs, I believe that Loaf is on a different level. Burton will make the fight competitive early on but Loaf will soon overwhelm him and earn a hard fought decision nod. My Prediction: Meat Loaf via Unanimous Decision Fenix Espada(12-1, 4-0 CONFLICTION) v Jeff Jonhson(19-10-1, 1-0 CONFLICTION) Moving the action over to the middleweight division, Muay Thai specialist, Fenix Espada, looks to improve his CONFLICTION record to 5-0 when he takes on heavy handed, Jeff Johnson. Both men are notorious for their dangerous striking and finishing ability so fans can expect a real barn burner in this match up. This should be a back and forth brawl for however long it lasts but eventually I see Espada finding success in the clinch where he will out strike his opponent and put him away. My Prediction: Fenix Espada via TKO (Round 2) Duck Tycoon(14-6, 5-3 CONFLICTION) v Juan Cabrillo(7-2, 4-2 CONFLICTION) Up next, seasoned striker, Duck Tycoon, faces off against former welterweigth champion, Juan Cabrillo. Both men have been with CONFLICTION for quite some time so they have obviously fought nothing short of top competition. Expect both men to bring their A game in this fight but in the end, I see Cabrillo picking up the win. Cabrillo should be able to fight smart, fight a very technical fight and pick his opponent apart for the majority of the three rounds. My Prediction: Juan Cabrillo via Unanimous Decision Fantinaz Del Norte(14-6-1, 0-0 CONFLICTION) v Jack Brown(12-9-1, 1-2 CONFLICTION In our next fight of the night, promotional newcomer, Fantinez Del Norte, squares off against former NGF champion, Jack Brown. Norte and Brown each have a wide array of skills so it's anyone's guess where this fight takes place. Though Brown has more experience in CONFLICTION, I feel that Norte will have more tricks up his sleeve in order to pull off the win and have a victorious promotional debut. My Prediction: Fantinez Del Norte via Unanimous Decision Brutus Nash(10-3, 2-2 CONFLICTION) v Leonardo DeRosa(10-9, 1-1 CONFLICTION) Up next, grappling specialist, Brutush Nash, takes on fan favorite, Leonardo DeRosa. Both men are coming off disapointing losses, so expect each of them to come into this fight hungry to get back in the win column. In a fight like this, I think that it will be DeRosa's striking that will make the difference. Nash will struggle to get this fight to the ground, at which point DeRosa will capitalize and finish his competitor in brutal fashion. My Prediction: Leonardo DeRosa via Knockout (Round 1) Jupiter Jones(19-13, 0-1 CONFLICTION) v David Luiz(17-13-1, 2-0-1 CONFLICTION) Taking things over to the bantamweight division, well rounded, Jupiter Jones, seeks out his first CONFLICTION win when he faces ground fighting expert, David Luiz. Even though Jones has less promotional experience than Luiz, I feel that he has the advantage coming into this fight, given the fact that I see him as the more complete fighter. Jones will most likely look to mix up his attack, keeping his opponent guessing and pick him apart for the majority of the fight. My Prediction: Jupiter Jones via Unanimous Decision Logan Mitchell(20-12-1, 2-0 CONFLICTION) v Franky Syn(13-8, 1-0 CONFLICTION) In our next fight of the evening, top prospects, Logan Mitchell and Franky Syn will duke it out in order to determine who will remain unbeaten in CONFLICTION and move up the light heavyweight ladder. Both men possess one shot knockout power, so it would be advised if fans refrained from blinking during this fight. It could go either way but I'm leaning towards Syn, due to the fact that I believe it will be his better chin that grabs him the win. Syn will be able to take his opponents punishment while delivering his own, and find the finish sooner or later. My Prediction: Franky Syn via TKO (Round 1) Dontae Sheldon(17-6, 1-1 CONFLICTION) v Burer Mutant(9-4, 4-3 CONFLICTION) In our second fight of the evening, five-time Fight of the Night winner, Dontae Sheldon, squares off against promotional vet, Burer Mutant. Both men have very similar fighting styles, being talented in both the boxing and wrestling departments, so it will be interesting to see how this fight plays out. It will be an extremely close fight but Sheldon should be able to edge out the win due to his experience advantage. My Prediction: Dontae Sheldon via TKO (Round 3) Vo Nguyen Giap(18-14-2, 2-2-1 CONFLICTION) v Brandon Spiller(25-16-5, 1-1-1 CONFLICTION) Kicking off our card, knockout artist, Vo Nguyen Giap, takes on former MMM champion, Brandon Spiller. Both men have struggled recently in their careers so this could possibly be a loser leaves town match. With so much on the line, expect both men to bring their best efforts come fight night, but in the end, I see Spiller mixing up his attack and out working his opponent for the full three rounds. My Prediction: Brandon Spiller via Unanimous Decision -Ace Koozie
