  1. Adam 'Murder' Mirovic has some bad news for Benjamin Foster - "Foster, if you think you're going to have the Heavyweight Division title scene to yourself, you're seriously misguided. I got straight back into the gym at Octagon Warriors Elite MMA and changed up my diet plan after our last fight. You remember that fight don't you? The one where you tapped before I dislocated your elbow? Well I'm training and eating differently to drop down to Heavyweight as well, so I guess I'll see you there. It might take me a few weeks to drop back to the correct weight but I'll see you in the Heavyweight Division sooner rather than later. Remember, the answer to "Who wants some?" Will ALWAYS be Adam 'Murder' Mirovic - one of The Original Elite"
  2. Changes to the Coaching Roster at Octagon Warriors Elite MMA For Immediate Release In a press conference held earlier today at the Shinjuku Hilton, the owner of Octagon Warriors Gym announced major changes to their coaching staff. Hazchem Discordia had this to say - "The Octagon Warriors Elite MMA facility is the original and best Elite MMA facility in Tokyo. The staff and all involved have always been committed the best value, highest quality training and sparring to fighters in Tokyo. As the MMA game evolves, so to do the training requirements of the fighters. It is for these reasons that I have made some major changes to the coaching roster. First, I thank Graham Brown and Manny Braggidio for the work they have done, and I wish them the best in their future endeavours. I have now hired some new double elite coaches and consolidated the training sessions so that coaches can specialise. First, let me introduce Uriah Tums, our elite conditioning coach and associate of the well known David Birchall in Sydney. Fighters are often heard to remark how hard he pushes them, and he certainly makes use of the equipment here in the gym, as well as regular trips to Nagano for running and other cardio drills in snow drifts. Uriah tells me he has adapted the training technique from running on sandhills behind Sydney's Cronulla beach with his mentor David. Next, our Elite BJJ coach Chris Brown, a submission specialist. He is the man of 1002 holds and has a distinguished career of his own in MMA. Fabricio Braga travelled to the USA as a teenager with a dream of becoming a NCAA wrestling champion, his ability to takedown opponents at will and negate any sprawl technique made his dream a reality. Back to the stand up side of the game, we have our 2 Elite Muay Thai coaches, both veterans of Bangkok's Lumpinee Stadium David Smith and Yuko Simato who are offering sessions in the fundamentals of Muay Thai. Kevin Simpson is an Olympic Freestyle Wrestler who has also trained in the art of Sumo, he is our Takedown Defence specialist. Local MMA legend Yoshi Sakara is one of our Elite BJJ and Wrestling coaches offering intense and focused training in Defensive Grappling. Former WBA, WBC, IBF Bantamweight Boxing Champ, and winner of The Contender Asia II, our double elite Muay Thai and Boxing coach Soter Victorstein has one of the cleanest, most powerful punches in the business and will help you fighters work on their Punch Technique. He is joined by our other double Elite Muay Thai and boxing coach Uchi Lee offering great training in Striking Defense. Last but by no means least, my old friend and personal mentor, Henry Williams. One of the first in my home country of Australia to adopt the Ground and Pound technique he is my specialist in this area of your fighter's game offering sessions all week. Octagon Warriors is the home of champions and offers the BEST Elite MMA Training in Tokyo. With a very limited number of memberships still available now is your chance to get your fighters to train with the best. Octagon Warriors Elite MMA - The Original Elite
  3. Octagon Warriors Gym is pleased to welcome the Choke Pancration Lightweight Champion - "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and his stablemate Joseph Jones to the original and best Elite MMA training facility in Tokyo. Currently ranked amongst the top lightweights in the world, Steve Austin is a fighter with wins against the best in Tokyo who is capable of submitting and KOing his opponents as well as going the distance to win on points. While his fight training is grounded in Wrestling, Steve will be working on all aspects of his game at Octagon Warriors. His manager, Nathan Takada has very kindly advised that Steve is also a fighter that likes to give back and share his skills with others, so he will be in the gym and involving himself in Wrestling drills every Friday morning. Octagon Warriors is the original and best Elite MMA training facility in Tokyo. With all Elite coaches (and more on the way) and a strictly limited membership, Octagon Warriors is truly the home of Champions. 4. Tamana Hopoate has returned to Octagon Warriors Gym after taking a break in his home country and Tonga and spending a week in Bangkok training his Muay Thai, watching fights at Lumpinee and catching up with old friends. Tamana is trying not to run his mouth as much and is currently only communicating via twitter - "I'll fight McGregor, seems JC is ducking me" short and to the point, "Hoppa" could not be reached for further comment.
  5. After his stunning first round TKO of Jason Kash at Legacy 4, Asmodeus Godraker's ascension to the top of the Heavyweight Division in Legacy MMA was thwarted due to issues with his manager. Speaking for the first time today he had this to say - "I can't comment right now on what happened with my former manager due to legal action. Let's just say it had to end, and I reached out to an old friend who now manages fighters from his Octagon Warriors Gym in Tokyo. He agreed to help me find a strong camp here in his old home town of Sydney and return me to the title position in Legacy MMA" Asmodeus will soon join a new team in Sydney and return to training.
  6. I heard from Tamana Hopoate today, he's left Tonga and on his way back to Tokyo but will be stopping in Bangkok for a week first. He plans to spend time training with old friends and catching fights at Lumpinee Stadium. He'll be right back into training at Octagon Warriors Gym on his return and looking forward to his next fight. He said, in part - "I let my mouth get ahead of myself in the lead up to the last fight and didn't focus in the gym properly. I've been home, I'm revitalised and ready to fight. I want to climb the rankings and I'll do it one fight at a time, starting with Julius Caesar at THEONENESS"
  7. after some problems with our solicitors not understanding how voicemail works, the paperwork is all signed and The Octagon Warriors gym in Tokyo has a new owner, me, Hazchem Discordia. Octagon Warriors gym is the original and best all Elite MMA training facility in Tokyo. Our facility features all Elite coaches, a Pristine environment and never less than Excellent equipment. We are driven by what our gym members need and want and are always listening to what is being said around the facility, combined with direct feedback from gym members to ensure we offer the best possible training in Tokyo. We have a limited number of memberships available right now, so do yourself a favour and sign your fighters up to Octagon Warriors - The Original Elite.
  8. Does anyone know what is happening with this Fight Org? There was one event a month ago and I don't think the owner has logged into the game since.
  9. caught up with Adam Mirovic, one of The Original Elite from Octagon Warriors gym today. He had this to say about Benjamin Foster - "You wonder why I train so hard, apparently lack improvement AND why I'm ranked so high? Step into the cage and find out for yourself. You didn't even get past the first round of your last fight. It didn't take much for Harry Hill to submit you and I'm going to do the same. Just pray I don't pull one of your limbs off completely and beat you with it. I've said it before and I'll say it again: The answer to who wants some? will ALWAYS be Adam 'Murder' Mirovic - one of The Original Elite."
  10. yeah mate, its all fine and it was a pleasure doing business with you.
  11. ok ladies and gents I can see there has been some angst here, believe me I didn't want Octagon Warriors to close either. I have completed the transaction with Dave and am now the new owner. I will maintain the high standards we have all come to expect from this gym. Apologies for the problems with the gym disappearing and reappearing, I haven't been online as much as I should have to complete the sale.
  12. Adam Mirovic has been cleared by his doctors and manager to return to training. Stepping back into the gym at Octagon Warriors, Mirovic said "I'm a fighter who respects what my body tells me. This is my weapon to demolish competition here in DIFO and now that I'm back in training i'm looking to continue my climb up the rankings. I want to fight at Devilman and I want Genichiro Tenryu"
  13. Tamana Hopoate has been unusually quiet since being embarrassed by micky mulligan. could it have to do with what Shinryaku MMA blog overheard his manager saying "I told you to train in the gym, not with your f***ing mouth Hoppa. Do it again and you'll need new representation" Apparently Tamana has returned to his family in Tonga to nurse his wounds for a short while.
  14. Brent "The Shooter" Malenko who is facing Static X at the upcoming PRIDE 12 - Stepping Up has been heard singing a little ditty to himself around the traps the last couple of days. I believe it goes something like "Who ate ALL the pies? Static X did! You fat bastard, you fat bastard" Malenko clearly has doubts that Static X has been working hard enough to make the weight for their fight ...
  15. Shunzo Ura, the #4 ranked flyweight in Tokyo showed his class in his first Choke Pancration match at CHOKE Golden Tour Vol.3. Winning the first 2 rounds, 'Iceman' Ura submitted Jeff Gaarlandt in the 3rd with an armbar. Ura said "I respect all the fighters here at Choke Pancration, i'm here to fight hard and prove my dominance my taking the title. I always aim high and I ALWAYS get what I want. Kevin Cromphout, I know you're looking to get back into the win column after losing your title match, but i'm looking to climb the rankings and you're in my way. Step in the ring with me at the Golden Tour Finale"
  16. Adam Mirovic, in his post match interview said "I TOLD you. The answer to who wants some will ALWAYS be Adam MURDER Mirovic. I respect crazy pete, he put up a good fight and pushed me but I still got the win. DIFO is now on notice. You step in the cage with Adam Mirovic. I'll MURDER you. The #1 ranking is mine." **Update** Caught up with Adam a couple of days after his fight with crazy pete, he tells me that while he might have won the fight, pete banged him up pretty good so he's probably going to need at least 10 days off before he can start training again, let alone consider his next fight. He assures me that once cleared by his doctor and also his manager he'll be back in the Octagon Warriors' gym, preparing for his next challenge and looking to continue his climb to the #1 ranking.
  17. Tamana Hopoate, ringside last night for his stable mate Adam Mirovic's win against crazy pete had this to say "pay close attention to what happened here tonight Micky Moron. Mirovic showed his class and determination and beat craze pete. I won't be so kind, I'll destroy you. I hope you have insurance."
  18. Adam Mirovic said in an interview during today's Shinryaku MMABlog Podcast "I may be new to DIFO and ranked lower than crazy pete, but the other fighters here need to learn that the answer to "who wants some?" will always be Adam MURDER Mirovic." Mirovic went on to say that he respects crazy pete's achievements so far in DIFO and is looking forward to meeting him in the octagon sometime soon.
  19. Tamana Hopoate, a newcomer from the defunct TUOW is looking for his first fight and would be happy to start with a win over Micky Mulligan. Tamana said to Shinryaku MMABlog "Mulligan might think he's a bad ass, but whether I take him to the ground and choke him out, or land the goodnight irene and KO him, Mulligan will be the one crying "nurse" at the end of the night. see you in the cage at Ironman, punk."
  20. I would agree that XBOX Live is the more well developed offering, and well it should be, back by a software giant and having longer in the marketplace. That said, I quite like PSN, it does what I need it to, I can see when my friends are online and what games they are playing. If I want to join them i just change games or send them a message and we work it out. I prefer it as the vast majority of my friends are on PSN. It's simple and easy to use, and is developing over time.
  21. was lucky enough to play an almost finished version of the game on PS3 last night. Really good fun, AWESOME fighting mechanics that are very deep and seen to cover all aspects of an MMA fighter's arsenal, not that I'm any expert mind you. The fighter models are awesome and clearly show accumulated damage during the fight. Land lots of body kicks in the first round and by the next round your opponent will have a dirty great bruise there. Cuts open up realistically, fighters get gassed if you don't manage their energy properly. Fighting is great fun and personally i found it very realistic. From 3 round wars that go to a decision to great clean punches that cause a KO. You can be taking loads of body blows but delivering great punches and combos to your opponent's head and get a KO with a well timed punch to the temple, similarly, take too many body strikes and you'll go down in pain and possibly TKO. I wasn't really paying attention properly during the tutorial so had some trouble executing takedowns and subs, but with a bit more time and practice I'm sure it can be mastered. I didn't get a chance to check out the career or create a fighter modes, but will try and get some more with the game during the week and give you some impressions. Needless to say my appetite has been whetted and I want this game NOW. Even my mate that I was playing against, who doesn't really like MMA but enjoys fighting games likes it, so there is a good chance that it will appeal to fans of fighting games in general, not just MMA. I want it NOW!!!!
  22. Hey, Aaron here from St Peters in Sydney, Australia. I've grown up with boxing and have also watched pro wrestling and kickboxing over the years. Got interested in MMA after seeing some K1 and UFC. Have always been intrigued by management games like this but never really cared for any of the sports they were created for. Enjoying the game, even better with VIP!
