  1. I like the idea of some sort of system to determine strength of schedule. For instance, Say your fighter is 6-4 but he held 2 titles and beat 2 more aces, while all 4 losses are to cream of the crop fighters. Your guy will probably have no hype, but he's crazy dangerous. Maybe there's a guy who's 5-0 but 3 fights were against 0-1/0-0 QFC fighters and the next 2 against 2-2/2-3, he'll have a ton of hype and be rewarded for doing so. I like an averaged strength of schedule based on who you fought and what level they were at when you fought them. That would weed out the padded records and protected champs. I'm not sure how a formula like S.O.S would work, but maybe there could be a number range 1-100 based on what your oponents rank was in his weight when you fought him and save that number in each fight, then average it with the other fight numbers. It would be cool to see this implemented because the expansion of the game has allowed A/B level fighters to go and tear up a bunch of nobodies in smaller orgs and it would be cool for them to have to take a hit in strength of schedule or something. Also, fighters are starting o pad their records. The cummulative hype system is flawed and will have to be changed soon anyway as fighters start maxing it out, I think Attliction and non stop nutrition are doing the doing that right now. What you guys think?
  2. Don't worry yourself, Jeepis is quite the little bitch, and he can't even submission spam properly.
  3. Worst one I remember is Rodey (my fighter) vs Hayz for the LW Synchronicity title. I was basically fed to him. He smashed every one of my stats but maybe wrestling, and had a 8-10 pound advantage. I lost via 3ed round sub. But it's cool now, my now 19 year old has higher stats than Hayz in most areas and he's 23.
  4. I loved this movie. Saw it last night. It's amazing for the brutality and suffering it showed, most big movies are to pussy to actually approach that. The ending would've more amazing to me if it happened about 20 minutes earlier when it could've been much more impactful, chips being as low as they could go. That would've been unforgetable.
  5. Hahaha nice come back, I better watch out in the forums for PWNage. Oh shit it's Jeepis lookout!
  6. No, this one 7-6-0 (0 NCs) Wins 1 (T)KOs (14.29%) 4 Subs (57.14%) 2 Decisions (28.57%) Losses 3 (T)KOs (50.00%) 2 Subs (33.33%) 1 Decisions (16.67%) Hahaha You are..... http://deconstructingthoughts.mlblogs.com/Soccer%20Fail.jpg
  7. Hahahaha didn't help your record though lol.
  8. http://www.mmaweekly.com/absolutenm/templa...3&zoneid=13 Griffin is uninjured.
  9. Feel free to comment on the many holes of my standup. (I'm in the pride gloves and shin guards.) (first video is sloppy, 2-4 should be decently less horrible) (Clinching was wierd because there was no grappling, MT clinch only)
  10. So you created a pure wrestler with mediocre takedowns and GnP whose offensive game consists of failed shots and a dominant scramble? WHY!!! lol
  11. My 18 year old in under a game year aquired a record of 7-2, beat 4 current or future champs, lost to 2 and just about every oponent he fought was 22 with a much higher stat rating. I'd say strategy plays quite a role.
  12. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gympublic.php?gmid=144 Our gym is expensive as hell, yes. But any top manager that wants top notch sparring and who will cooperate with the other managers for accelerated training is welcome to PM me. By the way, thi is a package deal, if you're trying to get 2 or 3 fighters in there then it's no go. This is a package deal for 4 plus fighters. We want a manager or 2. That way it's also easy to see who's screwing the rest of us if someone tries. Hit me up if you're interested and I'll see if we can get your fighters in there.
  13. There's something really satisfying about domination. That's what I want. Every aspect of this game is appealing, completely user run, tactical, social, and chaotic.
  14. If you get offended it's best not to watch this. If you're an evil desensitized bastard like most of us, however, please indulge.
  15. Says the manager who's 2-3 with the 2 wins coming via submission spamming.
  16. http://www.mmatycoon.com/fightcommentary.php?FTID=24843 Damn.....just...damn..... I think from now on I'm just gonna create a bunch of brown belts and train their wrestling up because appearently there is no penalty whatsoever to cardio, energy, or otherwise, to just spamming 10-15 subs a round. It's obviously a sure tactic even if you get outclassed and get 3 out of 15-20 takedown attempts every couple of rounds. I mean, why take time to choose superior tactics when there's a tactic than ensures 90 percent victory? It's perfect! I'll never lose.
  17. Did you watch his fights in Braile or do you just have extreme mental retardation? Lyoto would absolutely frustrate and execute Rampage. Shogun is the only fighter capable of beating Lyoto. Judging from your fighter comments I'm going to guess you're the drunk guy in the crowd booing when ironically you can barely tell what's going on due to intoxication and lack of experiance.
  18. ((effective)) wrestling. Plain and simple. The man who controls the fight wins the fight short of a 1 in 5 connect/sub catch. The only fighter who will beat the signicantly higher calibur wrestler is the fighter that is better in all aspects of the game but wrestling. Anderson Silva being a prime example. An d the first round he ever lost in the UFC was to an outstanding wrestler. Another exception to the rule being the fighter with amazing timing and technical precision, examples being Lyoto and Fedor. So, as wrestling is the x factor.
  19. I have no desire to see Hendo vs Franklin or Rampage vs Rashad unless they are 5 rounders. Those fights' potential is killed by 3 rounds.
  20. Bitching that you can't instantly compete with YB is dumb. There will be feeders as the game advances, and there will be changings of the guard. There will be orgs and enough shitty fighters to bring fighters up a little more slowly and deliberately. Just like in real life, the older you get and the more expansive of a title rain you have will work against you. You learn more slowly due to aging, and title holders HAVE to fight to defend their title and headline events. They don't have time or ability to evolve so they eventually get picked off. YB has so really terrible stats for the lead he has as a 25 year old. Why is that so? If you look at his record, undefeated, 26, and held the title for about 6 fights.
  21. Gyms are the way to go. Easiest finances to cover from what I've heard and much better (and free) training for your guys.
  22. Definantly, almost needs no saying. But Brock doesn't need quite as much skill as a Brandon Vera sized guy would need to have either. Just look at the talent level from 145-265. Every weight class jump there's less technique. (I think) I could definantly be wrong. But to be a top lighter fighter you have to have so much more technique to survive because a 2 or 3 round fight is guarenteed to hit every possible range and position twice lol. The only exeption I've really seen is guardwork. Some lighter guys have lesser guards. But still decent defensive guards. But my point being that guys who are so vastly bigger and more athletic don't necessarily ignore technique improvement, it's just less necesarry, if the big man gets top position on another big man it's pretty much over. And being bigger, you probably can't put in as many maximum reps. IDK I'm small, I grapple BJJ at a place that has almost exclusively huge dudes. They're technically sound but nowhere as technical as the smaller guys that come in.
  23. Check the Wiki, what else would confidence be for? Taunting your opponent?
  24. Fedor wins freakshow fights because he's so vastly better than those big men. Lesnar beats fedor if Lesnar gets Fedor under him. If Fedor SOMEHOW gets top position from a scramble or trip he'll smash Lesnar though. But honestly, I think all the things Fedor is great at are completely nullified by the bull that is Lesnar. Size will more than matter if that get's set up. Look at Timmy back in the day and tell me size didn't matter. The guy didn't really have much athleticism or much wrestling sprawling technique but you had to pass his reach, then fight his weight, to get him down. Tell me why Diego Sanchez felt it necessary to drop a weight class after preaching that he wouldn't do it. Look at BJ, Sherk, Rich, Tanner, Hendo, etc It seemed to make a difference to them. The only ones who end up on the bad end of a weight cut are guys who are too old to put themselves through that or guys who sap all they can Tito style. Weight means everything. If now I challenge someone with MMA expertise to go fight at their natural bodyweight and tell me it doesn't make a difference. If every fighter in the UFC from 205 down cuts weight to fight (including fat WW Serra and fattish WW Sanchez) and they're all experts at what they do, maybe they know something we don't.
