JT Redman, can't say I remember what happened in that second round, my head's still swimming, but they tell me it was a flying knee. I feel I left everything I had in that cage, and you came out the better man. Good luck pursuing that title. Well guess it's back to the drawing board, and the gym, and I'll be back better than ever."

There are those who think I'm past my prime, but I came here to prove them wrong, and you are definitely not going to stand in my way! And always remember the first rule of Project Mayhem....Never forget to wear your cup!"

If he thinks he's just going to walk over me to his title shot, he's got another thing coming. Maybe there's good reason that he's held up as the favorite in this fight, hell, he was champion, but I'll scrape and claw, and punch, and kick, and won't just go away quickly, I plan on bringing a war to that cage, and if he wants that shot, he better bring the same! He prefers to take the fight to the ground, where he can finish with either strikes, or submissions. He is coming off a third round TKO victory over Oscar Rivas in his last fight! He is equally dangerous both from distance, and in the clinch, and it is hard to find a position where he can be outmatched. Joaozinho Gurgel, from Brasilia, Brazil, is an elite level Muay Thai striker, with strong boxing, and a enviable wrestling base. He likes to bully opponents in the clinch, causing massive damage with punches and knees. He has won three straight fights, and is coming off a Unanimous Decision victory over Tak Sin Thanarat in his last fight! Prediction: This is actually a tough one, as Gurgel is almost the equal of Von Matterhorn in striking, and may actually have the advantage in the clinch, but it's hard to pick against the champ at this point, as long as he stays at distance he should have no problems. Von Matterhorn by TKO (Round 2). CO-MAIN EVENT Lightweight Bout "Kapteeni Menkkaparta" Jaakko Kolloo (23-8-3, 3-3 XKC) vs. Jakobi "Cyclone" Smithy (21-9-1, 0-1 XKC) Jaakko Kalloo, from Pornainen, Finland, is a high level muay thai fighter, who also has decent boxing skills, and a strong wrestling base. He was granted a title shot in his first fight in the org, losing by second round TKO to Lightweight Champion Pat Barry! UNDERCARD http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/150x100q90/539/VC9M3q.jpg XKC World Middleweight Title "General" Mathew Ridgeway © (7-0, 7-0 XKC) vs. "Saggitarius" Robert Archer (5-3, 5-3 XKC) XKC Middleweight Champion Mathew Ridgeway, from Fort Montroe, USA, is a high level boxer, with emerging muay thai, and wrestling skills. He is coming off his first successful title defense, a Unanimous Decision victory over Pat Garret! Robert Archer, from Liverpool, England, is a strong boxer, with some wrestling skills. He can strike from distance, or in the clinch, and has the cardio to drag a fight to the later rounds and keep up his pace. Archer has really turned things around since being ousted from the Superior Warrior tournament, winning four of his last five fights, and recent wins over Tim Roth, and Solomon Augustine have earned him a shot at the champ! Prediction: I have been burned several times in the last few events betting against Archer, but Ridgeway has the advantage just about everywhere, so it's hard to bet against him at this point. Ridgeway by UD. Featherweight Bout Tourney Fighter (6-2-1, 0-2 XKC) vs. "PROJECTile" Justin Cider (4-0, XKC Debut) Tourney Fighter, from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, is a high level muay thai striker, with strong boxing, and emerging wrestling skills. Justin Cider, from Los Angeles, California, USA, is a high level striker in all disciplines, dangerous with both his hands and feet, but doesn't have much of a wrestling base. He has power behind his strikes as evidenced by his three T/KO victories. He has never lost a professional fight, and is coming off a first round TKO victory over Shakim Abdulkerimov in the QFC! Prediction: While Cider certainly has power on his side, if Fighter can get to the clinch, he should have a shot at picking up his first XKC victory. Fighter by TKO (Round 2). Super Heavyweight Bout Antti Meijeri (4-4, 3-4 XKC) vs. Matt Weston (5-1-1, 3-1-1 XKC) Antti Meijeri, from Hanko, Finland, is a high level Muay Thai striker, with strong boxing skills, and an emerging wrestling game. He likes to fight from the clinch, and can cause a lot of damage with punches from that position. In his last two fights, he fought to a draw, and lost by Unanimous Decision both to Shezzo Wicked! He prefers to strike from distance, and trust his granite chin to protect him from his opponents blows. He won his only professional fight by first round TKO over Toshiro Hitsugaya! Prediction: Should be an interesting fight, but Jimmerson is the better striker all around, and will go with him. Jimmerson by TKO (Round 3).

He likes to get opponents into the clinch, and keep them there, causing devastating damage, with eight of his nine wins coming by T/KO. He has won two fights in a row, and is coming off a Unanimous Decision victory over Tommy MacKenzie in his last fight. HMFL Middleweight Champion Ricard Ceunca, from Barcelona, Spain, is an elite level Muay Thai striker, with high level boxing and grappling skills. He is an absolutely devastating clinch fighter, and a finisher, with 17 of his 19 fights ending by T/KO. He has not lost since April of 2013, and has won all ten of his HMFL fights, all of which have been title fights! His most recent title defense was a third round TKO victory over Dexter Morgan! Prediction: While Crash matches Cuenca's Muay Thai skill, Cuenca will likely have the advantage in the clinch, which always ends with devastating effect. No reason to start picking against the champ now. Cuena by TKO (Round 3). CO-MAIN EVENT Super Heavyweight Bout Ian "The Sickness" Pathos (4-0, 3-0 HMFL) vs. Alex "The Real Deal" Steel (17-13, 12-7 HMFL) Ian Pathos, from Cairo, Egypt, is an exciting young fighter in the HMFL, he is a high level wrestler, with a brown belt in jiu jitsu. He also has decent boxing skills, with knockdown power in his strikes. He prefers to fight on the ground, where he is dangerous with either strikes or subs. He has won all four of his professional fights, and is coming off a first round TKO victory over Marcus Megnus Maximus in his last fight. Alex Steel, from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, is a high level boxer, with a decent kicking game, and a strong grappling base. He prefers to use his wrestling to keep the fight standing, and bully opponents in the clinch, causing a lot of damage. He is coming off a third round loss by doctor stoppage against Bartholomew Roberts! Prediction: While Steel is a better striker than Pathos, Pathos is the stronger wrestler, and should look to continue his undefeated streak in this one. Pathos by TKO (Round 2). UNDERCARD Light Heavyweight Bout Chase "Chee-Z" Evans (1-2, 0-1 HMFL) vs. Joe "Bagger" Bags (0-7, 0-2 HMFL) Chase Evans, from Des Moines, Iowa, USA, is a decent wrestler, with a blue belt in jiu jitsu, and almost no skill in the striking game. Joe Bags, from Anjou, Brazil, is a decent Muay Thai striker, with mediocre wrestling skills, and a blue belt in jiu jitsu. He prefers to fight on the feet, with kicks being a big part of his game. He has never won a professional fight, and is coming off a first round knock out loss to Fred Zinisky in his last fight. Prediction: Neither fighter is particularly skills, both have no morale, but Bags also has low energy, and should continue his losing ways here. Evans by Submission (Round 1). Light Heavyweight Bout Lip Ton (0-0, HMFL Debut) vs. Sergi Vodkf (1-8, 0-3 HMFL) Lip Ton, from Montreal, Quebec, Canada, is a newcomer to the sports of professional MMA. He is a brown belt in jiu jitsu, but is pretty one dimensional beyond that. While it's hard to know what to expect from a rookie fighter, I expect he will try to get the fight to the ground as quickly as possible, and work submissions. Sergi Vodkf, from Kinglon, Czech Republic, is a brown belt in jiu jitsu, with little skill in the other disciplines of mixed martial arts. He prefers to get the fight to the ground quickly, and work submissions. He has lost all three of his HMFL battles, and is coming off a first round knock out loss to Jeff Rogan in his last fight! Prediction: This fight between two very similar fighters, will likely come down to morale, as Vodkf has no morale, or energy, and this should be an easy fight for Ton. Ton by Submission (Round 1). Light Heavyweight Bout Jeff Rogan (3-1, 2-1 HMFL) vs. Taza "ButterBash" Boyd (2-2, 2-0 HMFL) An up and coming youngster, Jeff Rogan, from Montreal, Quebec, Canada, is a high level boxer, with emerging wrestling skill, and a blue belt in jiu jitsu. Taza Boyd, from Mount Vernon, USA, is a decent boxer, with a blue belt in jiu jitsu. He prefers to get the fight to the ground quickly, and look to work submissions on the ground. He has won both his HMFL battles, and is coming off a second round submission victory over Bug Spit in his last fight! Prediction: While the two would be pretty even on the ground, if Rogan can keep the fight on the feet, he is by far the superior striker. Rogan by KO (Round 1).

Doesn't matter much to me, just means that my next opponent, Serge Ibaka, will be one more broken arm on my quest for gold. In eight days, we will step in the cage, and I will finish him early, that is my promise!"

He is just as deadly striking from the clinch, or from distance. He is currently on a four fight winning streak, and is coming off a first round knock out victory over Cyprien Noe Cyr! Once again HMFL Light Heavyweight Champion after a very brief hiatus, Tesco Vee, from Wichita Falls, Texas, USA, is also a deadly striker, with good defensive work on the ground. He likes to bully oppponents, and strike from the clinch. He is coming off a first round TKO victory over Michael Street where he won back the title that Street beat him for in their previous fight! Prediction: Likely to be an all out war on the feet, despite his brief hiatus, Vee has been ruling over the Light Heavyweight roost for quite a while now, and it's hard to pick against him. Vee by TKO (Round 3). CO-MAIN EVENT Welterweight Bout Shawn Wexler (25-14, 12-4 HMFL) vs. "The Silver Stomper" Jakob Silfversberg (14-12, 9-5 HMFL) Shawn Wexler, from Hilo, Hawaii, USA, returned to the HMFL after an absence for his last fight, and things didn't turn out quite the way he'd hoped, leading to this rematch. Wexler is a well rounded warrior, with a red belt in jiu jitsu. He uses strong striking to set up his takedowns, and get the fight to the ground, where he can take out opponents with ease. He lost by third round TKO to Silfversberg in his return bout. Jakob Silfversberg, from Montreal, Quebec, Canada is a strong wrestler, with a brown belt in jiu jitsu, and a decent striking game as well. Silfversberg is more likely to use striking to finish than Wexler, showing flashes of knock out power throughout his career, as well as a good submission game. He is now on a three fight winning streak, including his impressive victory over Wexler in their last encounter. Prediction: Though the evidence of their last fight weighs heavily in Silfversberg's favor, I'm still going to say the red belt jiu jitsu of Wexler gives him the edge. Wexler by Submission (Round 2). UNDERCARD Heavyweight Bout Monsun "Monster Storm" Moon (6-1, 5-1 HMFL) vs. Jack "The Snake" Larsson (3-0, 2-0 HMFL) Is this the end of Monsun Moon, if it is, his gaunlet has gone rather well so far, with him winning both of the fights so far! Moon, from Leeds, England, is an elite level wrestler, with a brown belt in jiu jitsu. His striking leaves something to be desired, but it's usually enough to set up a takedown, so he can work his ground magic. He is on a three fight winning streak, and coming off a second round submission victory over Eli Bernstein! His opponent today is Jack Larsson, from GBG, Sweden, a black belt in jiu jitsu, and a strong boxer as well. Larsson is undefeated, and all of his fights have ended in the first round by armbar submission. He has never lost, and is coming off a 27 second submission victory over Ryan King in his last fight! Prediction: While Larsson has the better jiu jitsu, Moon's elite level wrestling should still allow him to control the fight. Moon by UD. Heavyweight Bout Granola Bar (0-0, HMFL Debut) vs. Psycho "Hobo" Chomyn (1-0, 1-0 HMFL) Granola Bar, from Montreal, Quebec, Canada, is a high level boxer, though with few discernable skills outside of his boxing prowess. He will most likely look to fight from distance, peppering his opponent with punches. He will make his MMA debut in the HMFL cage tonight! Psycho Chomin comes from the mean streets, of Oxford, England, and has emerging skills in the striking disciplines, though he is pretty much worthless on the ground. He won his first fight by Unanimous Decision over All Sure. Prediction: Likely to be an all-out stand up war, while Chomin has a more well rounded striking game, Granola is the best boxer by far. Granola by TKO (Round 2). Middleweight Bout The Steel Penn Alliance (9-11-1, 3-0 HMFL) vs. "Stampede" Calgary Alberta (14-19, 7-9 HMFL) The Steel Penn Alliance, from Ghana, is an elite level wrestler, with a black belt in jiu jitsu, and some strong striking skills to set up his ground game. He prefers to get the fight to the ground as quickly as possible, where he can work his strong submission game. He has turned around his career since joining the HMFL, winning all three of his fights, and is coming off a Unanimous Decision victory over TJ Welsh in his last fight. Calgary Alberta, from Chestermere, Alberta, Canada, is a high level wrestler, with good striking skills, and a purple belt in jiu jitsu. He prefers to fight on the ground, where he can finish with either strikes or submissions. He broke a three fight losing streak by defeating Wooden Pencil by first round knock out in his last fight. Prediction: The Steel Penn Alliance has been on such a hot streak since coming to the HMFL, and has the superior jiu jitsu once the fight goes to the ground. Steel Penn Alliance by Submission (Round 2). PRELIMINARY CARD Welterweight Bout Random "Task" Collective (19-21-1, 6-8 HMFL) vs. Ragnar "44" Hjelmslev (13-8, 2-5 HMFL) Random Collective, from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, is a high level wrestler, with a brown belt in jiu jitsu, and a strong striking game as well. He prefers to use his masterful cardio to drag fights into deep water, wearing out his opponents, before moving in for the kill, or just outpointing them on the judges cards. He won by Unanimous Decision over Ragnar Hjelmsev in his last fight! Ragnar Hjelmsev, from Viborg, Denmark, is a well rounded striker, deadly with both his fists, and his kicks, and has some decent defensive grappling should the fight go to the ground. He also likes to take fights deep, so this should be an interesting, and possibly long battle! He is on a two fight losing streak, and lost a decision to Random Collective in his last fight! Prediction: Both fighters have similar striking, but Collective should have a big advantage if he can get this fight to the ground. Collective by UD. Bantamweight Bout Yushin "Akuma" Yamamoto (3-0, 2-0 HMFL) vs. Stan "The Man" Rivers (20-12-1, 8-5 HMFL) Yushin Yamamoto, from Fukushima, Japan, is a high level wrestler, with a black belt in jiu jitsu, and emerging striking skills. He has a lot of power, and is known for knocking his opponents down a lot in his fights. 16 of his 20 victories have come by T/KO. He is on a three fight winning streak, and is coming off a 53 second knock out victory over Manus Grant in his last fight! Prediction: A tough one to pick, this largely figures to be about who can get the fight into their arena, and keep it there. Yamamoto will want to fight on the ground, while Rivers will want to keep it standing. Rivers is by far the better striker, and if he can flash power like he has in past contests should be able to finish this early. Rivers by TKO (Round 1). Lightweight Bout Serano "The Nose" Lukowski (5-1, 1-1 HMFL) vs. Winston Churchill (3-3, 1-0 HMFL) Serano Lukowski, from Graham in the USA, is a purple belt in jiu jitsu, who also has strong boxing skills at his disposal. Winston Churchill, from Montreal, Quebec, Canada, is a high level boxer, with a purple belt in jiu jitsu, and decent wrestling. He prefers to fight on the feet, striking from the clinch. He is on a two fight winning streak, and won his HMFL debut by first round knock out over Oko Poli in his last fight! Prediction: If Lukowski can get this fight to the ground quickly, I like his chances of being able to finish Churchill on the ground. Lukowski by Submission (Round 1). Welterweight Bout Ogami "SUSHI" Itto (21-15, 2-1 HMFL) vs. Robbie "No Escape" Alcatraz (23-15, 3-1 HMFL) Ogami Itto, from Edo, Japan, is a well rounded fighter, with high level skills in all disciplines of mixed martial arts. He is dangerous from anywhere, and able to adapt his gameplan for where the fight is, leaving him with a nice mix of different finishes. In his last fight he had a three fight winning streak snapped when he lost by first round submission to Jakob Silfversberg! Robbie Alcatraz, from San Francisco, California, USA, is a high level striker, with good wrestling, and a black belt in jiu jitsu. He prefers to stay on the feet, and strike from distance, using his grappling for defensive purposes. He earned a second round knock out victory over Michael Halo in his last fight! Prediction: Alcatraz is slightly better in most areas, but Itto has shown an ability to be dangerous from all areas. Itto by Submission (Round 3). Lightweight Bout Freddy White (9-7-2, 1-0-1 HMFL) vs. Donar Gunvaldsson (12-11-2, 9-8-2 HMFL) A fight between these two at HMFL 21 ended in a Draw, necessitating this rematch! Freddy White, from SteelTown, USA, is a well rounded striker, with a strong wrestling base, and still improving jiu jitsu. He prefers to strike from distance, and use his grappling for defense. Donar Gunvaldsson, from Stockholm, Sweden, is an elite level muay thai striker, with decent boxing, and a black belt in jiu jitsu. He likes to drag fights into deep water, wearing opponents out, and winning on the judges scorecards much of the time. He is dangerous from anywhere in the cage, with a good mix of T/KO and submission finishes. He lost to CJ Johnson by Unanimous Decision in a fight for the Bantamweight Title in his last fight! He recently bounced back from a loss to Dexter Morgan, with a Unanimous Decision victory over Tangerine Dream! UNDERCARD Welterweight Bout "The Silver Stomper" Jakob Silfversberg (12-12, 7-5 HMFL) vs. Ogami "The New Fanhez" Itto (21-14, 2-0 HMFL) Jakob Silfversberg, from Montreal, Quebec, Canada, is a strong wrestler, with a brown belt in jiu jitsu. Ogami Itto, from Edo, Japan, is a well rounded fighter, with his high level wrestling, and grappling skills complemented by exceptional striking skills. Capable of finishing with both strikes, and submissions, he is dangerous from anywhere. Itto is on a three fight winning streak, and is coming off a first round knock out victory over Tom Huddlestone! Predictions: Normally I would pick Itto since he is the more skilled fighter all around, but he has low morale, so I will choose Silfversberg! Silfversberg by TKO (Round 2). Middleweight Bout Kain "reaper" Saint (34-21, 2-3 HMFL) vs. Tangerine Dream (22-8-2, 0-2 HMFL) Kain Saint, from LA, England, is a well rounded fighter, with decent striking skills to back up his high level wrestling, and black belt in jiu jitsu. Saint is definately hitting the downside of his career, having only won two out of his last eight fights, but is still dangerous from just about anywhere. He is currently on a two fight losing streak, and is coming off a Unanimous Decision loss to Arvo Pentti! Tangerine Dream, from Henry, Illinois, USA, is an elite level striker, posessing skills at the highest levels in both boxing, and Muay Thai, with some decent grappling, mostly used in his defense, not to attack. Dream has lost both his fights in the HMFL, a Unanimous Decision loss in a title fight with Ricard Cuenca in his HMFL debut, and a Unanimous Decision loss to Charles Stryker in his last fight! Prediction: In a battle of two fighters equally desperate for a victory, Saint's more rounded skill set will likely see him through. Saint by TKO (Round 2). Middleweight Bout Aaron Newport (7-2, 1-0 HMFL) vs. Ruslan Islamanov (6-3, 3-0 HMFL) Aaron Newport, from Cincinnati, Ohio, USA, is a well rounded striker, with skills to harm his opponents with both his boxing, and kicking. He has a strong wrestling base that he mostly uses for his clinch work, and a purple belt in jiu jitsu to defend and get up should the fight go to the ground. He earned a Unanimous Decision victory over Calgary Alberta in his HMFL debut! Ruslan Islamanov, from Qysylorda, Kazakhstan, is a brown belt in jiu jitsu, and that's about it. His skills in striking, and wrestling, while emerging, are mediocre at best, making him a bit of a one trick pony, though it's been a pretty good trick so far. He has won all three of his HMFL bouts, twice over Isaac Savo, by submission, and decision, and a victory by first round submission over Jo Roblin in his last fight! Prediction: While Islamanov would have a massive advantage if this fight ended up on the ground, I believe Newports much stronger wrestling and striking skills, will allow him to keep the fight standing, and finish him off! Newport by TKO (Round 1). PRELIMINARY CARD Heavyweight Bout Jimmy "The Train" Rogers (17-17, 1-1 HMFL) vs. Eli "The Prophet" Bernstein (12-11, 1-1 HMFL) Jimmy Rogers is an excellent boxer, with some skills with his kicks as well. He prefers to fight at distance, striking straight up with his opponent in a style that usually ends with him or the other guys getting T/KOed. He has a decent grappling skill set that allows him to defend himself should the fight go to the ground! He knocked out Donny Davis in 56 seconds in his HMFL debut, and then was knocked out by Donny Davis in just 47 seconds in his last fight! Eli Bernstein has decent striking to complement his strong wrestling skill set, and brown belt in jiu jitsu. He likes to clinch up, and then get the fight to the ground as quickly as possible, where he poses a danger in just about every position. He is coming off a first round TKO victory over Ricky Bobby! Prediction: If the fight stays on the feet, Rogers will most likely have the advantage, but as the stronger wrestler, Bernstein will likely dictate where the battle is fought, on the ground. Bernstein by TKO (Round 2). Heavyweight Bout "Ryo" Ryan King (1-27, 0-26 HMFL) vs. Jack "The Snake" Larsson (2-0, 1-0 HMFL) Ryan King, from P Town, Trinidad & Tobago, is a mediocre fighter at best, with emerging boxing skills, and a blue belt in jiu jitsu, but no real skill in Muay Thai, or wrestling. He has lost 27 straight fights, including 26 in the HMFL cage, and given his relative skill level, will likely not break that streak here. Jake Larsson, from GBG, Sweden, is an excellent boxer, with emerging kicking skills, and a black belt in jiu jitsu. He prefers to fight on the ground, looking for submissions against his opponents. He has won both of his professional bouts, both first round submission victories over Chimo Kowalchuck! Prediction: Larsson has massive advantages, both on the feet, and on the ground, and King has no morale, so this should be an easy one. Larsson by Submission (Round 1). Welterweight Bout John Brown (1-3, 1-2 HMFL) vs. Mort Shula (9-9, 1-0 HMFL) John Brown is one of the up and coming prospects in the Welterweight Division. He has no striking skills at all, but has high level wrestling to go along with a blue belt in jiu jitsu. His game plan is usually to get his opponent to the ground, where he can pound on them from on top. He recently broke a three fight losing streak, picking up his first professional victory, a first round TKO victory over Ted Jones! Mort Shula, from Astoria, USA, is an exceptional boxer, capable of doing damage with his hands, but his other skills would be described as emerging at best, and at age 35, not likely to get any better. He has however won his last two fights, including a first round TKO victory over Jacob Reynolds in his HMFL debut! Prediction: While Shula definately has the advantage on the feet, Brown's high end wrestling will likely make the difference here. Brown by TKO (Round 3). Welterweight Bout CJ Wilkins (12-12, 1-3 HMFL) vs. Grant Brophy (24-13, 1-1 HMFL) CJ Wilkins is a striker, with good boxing, and muay thai skills, he has strong wrestling base that he uses to keep the fight standing, but he prefers to fight from distance on the feet. He is currently on a two fight losing streak, losing by first round submission to Random Collective, and by second round TKO to Jakob Silfversberg! Grant Brophy, from Tralee, Ireland, is a high level Muay Thai fighter, with emerging boxing skills, and good defensive grappling. He fights well from the clinch, and is coming off a Unanimous Decision victory over Rural Advantage in his last fight! Prediction: In a battle likely to be fought on the feet, I believe Brophy's more specialized skill set will prove to be the advantage. Brophy by UD. Lightweight Bout Jon "J-Melch" Melcher (6-7, 1-0 HMFL) vs. Victor Gomez (2-0, 2-0 HMFL) Jon Melcher, from Queensbury, USA, is a feeble striker, with a mediocre at best grappling skill set. He recently snapped a two fight losing streak, by defeating Paddy McIrish by second round submission in his last fight! Victor Gomez is another emerging youngster, with a currently mediocre skill set, that is actually just about evenly matched with Melcher's. He has won both his professional fights, by second round submission over Johnny Hernandez, and by first round submission over Alex Quarry! Prediction: This one is more of a toss up, but Gomez will likely have the momentum, being undefeated. Gomez by UD.
