  1. http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg29/Overbay17/1383642563Logo_zps47586b08.jpg XKC 17 Sunday, October 5, 2014 Live From Hayashi's Lounge in London, England MAIN EVENT http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/150x100q90/539/VC9M3q.jpg XKC World Middleweight Title Bout "General" Mathew Ridgeway (6-0, 6-0 XKC) vs. Pat "Boom Boom" Garret (6-2, 5-1 XKC) XKC Middleweight Champion Mathew Ridgeway is an excellent boxer, very capable striking from distance, but has an emerging Muay Thai game, and a preferance for fighting in the clinch, where he has shown the ability to cause a great amount of damage. He has yet to lose a professional bout, and he won the Middleweight Title in his last bout, with a fourth round TKO victory over Tim Roth to win the Superior Warrior Season One Tournament! Pat Garret has lived up to the name "Boom Boom" with a string of KO and TKO victories! A great boxing talent, who unlike a lot of boxers has no problem fighting in the clinch. He has an amazing ability to absorb damage. Garret is a former challenger for the Welterweight Title, suffering his only loss in the XKC to former Welterweight Champion Yvgeny Molotov, but stepped up to 185 in his last fight, earning a second round TKO victory over Robert Archer to earn this title shot! Prediction: Ridgeway has been very impressive through the Superior Warrior Tournament, and will have a slight advantage in both boxing, and muay thai, though I could see this going the other way just as easily, I'm going to go with the champ. Ridgeway by UD. CO-MAIN EVENT Lightweight Bout "Na Baron" Feyd Rautha Harkonnen (22-11-1, 2-1 XKC) vs. Danny Osei Tutu (14-12-1, 2-2 XKC) Feyd Rautha Harkonnen, from Siberia, Russia, is a high level striker, skills in both boxing, and Muay Thai, and has strong work from the clinch as well. He has a tendency toward getting decisions more than finishing opponents. He recently had a two fight winning streak snapped, when he lost a three round war to Bong Toe by Unanimous Decision! Danny Osei Tutu, from Perth, Australia, is an elite level Muay Thai fighter, with elite skills in the clinch, and a strong boxing game just to mix things up. He is a powerful striker, capable of causing a lot of damage. He recently had a two fight losing streak snapped, when he earned a first round TKO victory over Ricardo Awa! Prediction: Harkonnen is an excellent fighter, but Tutu will have an advantage in the clinch, and in Muay Thai, and will likely claim the victory. Osei Tutu by TKO (Round 3). UNDERCARD Featherweight Bout Tourney Fighter (6-1-1, 0-1 XKC) vs. "Adrijan" Billy Joakim-Antrim (6-2, 1-1 XKC) Tourney Fighter, from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, is a skilled Muay Thai fighter, with strong kicks, who is also dangerous with his punching, and has an emerging clinch game. He has the cardio for long fights, and even his finishes tend to go into the deep water of the fight. He was the winner of the Convicted K1 64 Man Grand Prix, but lost by Unanimous Decision to Hematoma Hominick in his XKC debut in his last fight! Still on the run from the authorities in Fort Winter, Old Mexico, Billy Joakim-Antrim hasn't exactly been keeping a low profile. An excellent Muay Thai striker, with a strong boxing game, and emerging skills in the clinch. His heavy hands allow him to do a lot of damage to his opponents. While he lost a Unanimous Decision to Hematoma Hominick in his XKC debut, he earned a second round knock out victory over Zhu Yuan in his last fight! Prediction: A tough fight to pick, though Fighter is the superior striker, Antrim has plenty of opportunity to win the fight if he can get in the clinch. I will go with the superior striking however. Fighter by TKO (Round 3). Super Heavyweight Bout Steel Penn (8-3, 1-3 XKC) vs. Antti Meijeri (4-3, 3-3 XKC) Steel Penn, from Hilo, Hawaii, USA, is a well rounded striker, with highly developed skills with both his fists, and kicks. He prefers to fight from distance, using his varied striking attack to keep his opponents off balance, and finish them. In his last fight, he once again lost by first round knock out in his second attempt to take Giacomo Benvenuti's Super Heavyweight Title! Antti Meijeri, from Hanko, Finland, is a highly skilled Muay Thai striker, with an emerging clinch game, who also has strong skills in boxing to back that up. While he can fight from the clinch, he has shied away from it his last couple fights, possibly because of the level of his opponents clinch games. In his last fight he TKOed Shezzo Wicked in Round 3. Prediction: Steel Penn is the more well rounded striker, but Meijeri will have a large advantage should he get the fight to the clinch. Meijeri by TKO (Round 2). Welterweight Bout Mike "The Prodigy" Hussle (3-1, 3-1 XKC) vs. Bill BumFight (3-2, 0-1 XKC) Mike Hussle, from Leeds, England is a highly skilled boxer, with an emerging kicking game. He is a very strong striker, capable of causing tremendous damage to his opponents. He is definately a finisher, coming into this fight on the back of a three fight winning streak, all by first round T/KO over Tihon Lapardin, Sonny Bill Uru, and Mark Addison! Bill BumFight is a brawler, from New York City, USA, where he competed in the boxing promotion Golden Ring before signing with the XKC. He is an excellent boxer, but is still working to get his Muay Thai skills up to speed. He is definately a finisher, with all his victories coming by first round T/KO, and has a granite chin that allows him to absorb a lot of punishment. He lost by second round TKO to Ataullah Ganteaume in his XKC debut! Prediction: It is hard to bet against Hussle at this point, who has been ploughing through the bottom end of the Welterweight Division. Hussle by TKO (Round 3). PRELIMINARY CARD Middleweight Bout "Don" Tim Roth (4-2, 4-2 XKC) vs. "Saggitarius" Robert Archer (3-3, 3-3 XKC) Tim Roth, from Bristol, England, is a strong Muay Thai fighter, with minimal boxing skills, and an emerging clinch game. He can fight at distance, but prefers to utilize the clinch in a lot of his fights. He has heavy hands, and is a finisher, with three of his four victories coming by TKO. He fought Mathew Ridgeway in the final of the Superior Warrior Tournament, losing by forth round TKO in his last fight! Robert Archer, from Liverpool, England, is a strong boxer, excellent with his hands, who has minimal muay thai skills, and an emerging wrestling game, that he mostly uses to keep the fight out of the clinch, and at distance. He was eliminated from the Superior Warrior Tournament by Hadi Ozturk, and has since won twice, before losing by second round TKO to Pat Garret in his last fight! Prediction: While Archer has been steadily improving, it will be his lack of defense against Roth's Muay Thai game that proves his undoing. Roth by TKO (Round 2). Middleweight Bout "Make Them Bleed" Brutal Demise (4-2, 4-2 XKC) vs. Simon Sor Suchart (0-1, 0-1 XKC) Brutal Demise, from Bristol, England, is a well rounded Muay Thai fighter, with skills in both kicking, and boxing, as well as a decent clinch game. His only two losses were to the two Superior Warrior finalists Tim Roth, and Mathew Ridgeway, and he defeated Albert White by second round TKO to take third place in the tournament in his last fight! Simon Sor Suchart, from Kingston, Jamaica, is a very skilled Muay Thai fighter, with an emerging punching game. He prefers to fight from distance, and is very confident, coming forward despite any odds against him. He lost by 43 second TKO to Robert Archer in his professional debut. Prediction: Suchart is a fine striker, even has the advantage in both disciplines, but his lack of skill in the clinch lead to his demise! Demise by TKO (Round 2). Light Heavyweight Bout Dick Army (2-0, 1-0 XKC) vs. "The Warlord" Temujin Khan (1-1, 1-1 XKC) Dick Army, from Ohio in the USA, is a superb Muay Thai striker, with an emerging clinch game, and only a small amount of boxing skill. He prefers to fight at distance, scoring points on his opponents in bunches with his kicks, and has a granite chin that allows him to absorb any damage his opponent might dish out! He hasn't been a finisher thus far in his career, and won his XKC debut by Majority Decision over Lucifer Tyson! Temujin Khan, from Ulan Bator, Mongolia, is a highly skilled Muay Thai fighter, who relies on his strong kicking game to get things done. He has some skill in the clinch, but also fights well from distance. He was dropped by his manager going into the fight, and thus took a hit to his morale. He lost by first round TKO to Akihiko Yamato in his last fight! Prediction: Without a manager to take care of Khan, it is likely that Army will take the victory! Army by UD. Welterweight Bout "Sweet" Omar Enz (1-1, 0-1 XKC) vs. Mark Addison (1-2, 1-2 XKC) Omar Enz, from Copenhagen, Denmark, is a highly skilled Muay Thai fighter, with an emerging boxing game. He was a competitor in the prematurely ended Tycoon World Karate Championship, winning his one fight over Taisto Ei Tippa Tappa by Unanimous Decision, before losing his XKC debut by Majority Decision to Sonny Bill Uru! Mark Addison is a highly skilled Muay Thai fighter, with an emerging boxing game, and strong clinch work. He has KO power in his hands, however, back to back knock out losses to Sonny Bill Uru, and Mike Hussle, have left some questioning the strength of his chin. Prediction: Well, Addison is my fighter, so I will refrain from predicting this one due to personal bias.
  2. http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg29/Overbay17/14011419881370829083hmflogo_zps2cf8b0b6.jpg HMFL 119 Sunday, September 28th 2014 Live From Hard Knocks in Montreal, Quebec, Canada MAIN EVENT http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg29/Overbay17/20120917231025204948414_zps93577976.jpg HMFL Lightweight World Title "Don Beeso" Childish Gambino (16-8, 1-0 HMFL) vs. Daken "Mongrel" Akihiro (11-2, 1-0 HMFL) Childish Gambino, from Georgia in the USA, is a new arrival from the Ontario Fight Club. He is a well rounded fighter, but prefers to stand. He prefers to punch, though he also has an emerging kicking game, and prefers to fight from distance, rather than clinch. He is a finisher, with all 16 of his victories coming by finish, and all eight of his losses coming by decision. He is on a two fight winning streak, and won by 53 second TKO over Donar Gunvaldsson in his HMFL debut! HMFL Lightweight Champion Daken Akihiro hails from Jasmine Falls, Japan. He is an elite level striker with both his fists, and feet, and while he has high level wrestling and jiu jitsu skills, he uses these defensively to keep the fight standing, or get the fight stood up, and strikes from the feet. He has a granite chin. A new arrival from NGF, Akihiro was given a title shot in his first fight in the HMFL, and made the most of it, defeating Krystian Wojnasiewicz by second round TKO to win the HMFL Lightweight Title! Prediction: The champ has the advantage in almost all areas, and if the fight stays on the feet, like I expect, Akihiro's Elite level striking will give him the edge. Akihiro by TKO (Round 2). CO-MAIN EVENT Welterweight Bout "Gracie Hunter" Kazushi Sakuraba (32-20, 3-1 HMFL) vs. Oliver Schwalle (15-9, 1-0 HMFL) A battle between the two top ranked fighters in the Welterweight Division. Kazushi Sakuraba is a jiu jitsu black belt from Katagami, Japan. He has little skill on the feet, but once the fight is on the ground, he is a beast. 23 of his 32 victories have come by submission, though he does have some ground and pound skill, with four victories by TKO. Sakuraba is coming off a first round submission victory over Cappy Christian in his last fight! Oliver Schwalle is a more well rounded fighter, with elite level skills in both boxing, and wrestling. He also has a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, though he prefers to strike from the ground, without a single submission to his name, and 13 of 15 victories coming by TKO. Schwalle is on a three fight winning streak going back to his time with Syn, and defeated Tyler Durden by Unanimous Decision in his HMFL debut! Prediction: While Sakuraba is a beast on the ground, Schwalle has the skill to deal with him, and a massive striking advantage. Schalle by TKO (Round 3). UNDERCARD Middleweight Bout The Steel Penn Alliance (7-11-1, 1-0 HMFL) vs. George St. pierre (24-20, 12-11 HMFL) The Steel Penn Alliance, from Hilo, Ghana, can strike but is a beast on the ground. An elite level wrestler, with a black belt in jiu jitsu, who is dangerous with both his fists, and submissions from the ground. He has had a rough career so far, but had a good start in the HMFL, defeating Osold Seth Sinclair by first round submission in his HMFL debut! George St. pierre hails from Quebec, Canada, and though he is a decent boxer, his real strength is once the fight goes to the ground. He is a strong wrestler, with a brown belt in jiu jitsu. He is a submission fighter, with 18 of his 24 wins coming by submission. He has been a back and forth fighter, and recently had a three fight winning streak snapped, when he lost to Bryant Arlo by third round TKO in his last fight! Prediction: While St. Pierre would normally have the advantage on the ground, I believe Steel Penn Alliance's elite level wrestling will allow him to control the fight, and get the finish. Steel Penn Alliance by Submission (Round 3). Light Heavyweight Bout Johny "The Bull" Persecutioned (2-2, 0-1 HMFL) vs. Javier Marcao (2-1, 1-1 HMFL) Johny Persecutioned is a boxer from London, England. He has strong striking with his hands, and good wrestling, that he mostly uses to keep the fight on the feet, allowing him to hit his opponents in the face. He uses his wrestling defensively as well on the ground, to control, and get the referee stand up. He has a big heart, and is normally difficult to finish, but he lost by first round knock out to Johnny Blaze in his HMFL debut! Javier Marcao hails from Lisbon, Portugal, and is a beast on the ground. Not very skilled in striking, he has decent wrestling, and a brown belt in Jiu Jitsu. He hunts for submissions once he gets the fight to the ground. He took his first professional loss in his last fight, losing by first round submission to Taza Boyd! Prediction: While Persecutioned should have the advantage on the feet, this fight should end up on the ground at some point, and Marcao has the advantage in that realm. Marcao by Submission (Round 2). Middleweight Bout Osold Seth Sinclair (8-5, 1-1 HMFL) vs. Oscar "Loco" Rivas (3-4, 0-1 HMFL) Osold Seth Sinclair hails from Gardabaer, Iceland, and is a well rounded fighters, with decent skills in striking, wrestling, and jiu jitsu, but not great at any one area of the sport. He is very physically strong, and though he won his HMFL debut by second round TKO over Tyrone Hayes, he lost his last fight against Steel Penn Alliance by first round submission! Oscar Rivas hails from Peace River, Alberta, Canada, and is a strong boxer, with an emerging Muay Thai game. He has decent wrestling, that he uses to keep the fight standing. He lost his HMFL debut, losing by first round submission to Quiet Monkey in his debut! Prediction: Rivas will have the advantage on the feet, and Sinclair has taken a hit to his morale. Rivas by TKO (Round 2). PRELIMINARY CARD Welterweight Bout Kaiser "The Warrior" Wilhelm (8-5-1, 0-1-1 HMFL) vs. Gabriel "Jacare" Garcia (3-0-0, 1-0 HMFL) Kaiser Wilhelm, from Afghanistan, is a strong wrestler, who tends to use his wrestling to keep the fight standing, and use his mediocre striking skills to pepper his opponents with strikes. He is blessed natural KO power, so that when he does connect, it causes a lot of damage. He fought to a majority draw with Wrestling Beast in his HMFL debut, and lost by third round TKO in the rematch in his last fight! Gabriel Garcia, from Vila Velha, Brazil, is a submission grappler, who uses an improving striking game to set up his takedowns, and use his brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to work for submissions on the ground. He has won all three of his professional fights, and is coming off a first round TKO victory over Stirling Sanguin in his HMFL debut! Prediction: While Wilhelm will certainly have the edge in experience, he doesn't have the chops on the ground to deal with Garcia. Garcia by Submission (Round 1). Welterweight Bout Rural "Alberta" Advantage (19-21-1, 7-10 HMFL) vs. Tom Huddlestone (10-7, 5-6 HMFL) Rural Advantage, from Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, is a well rounded fighter, with strong striking skills, good wrestling, and a brown belt in jiu jitsu. He prefers to strike whether on the feet, or the ground, and has good defensive grappling skills. Advantage is in a dry spell, having lost seven of his last eight fights, and is coming off a Unanimous Decision loss to Grant Brophy! Tom Huddlestone, from London, England, is also well rounded, with a sensational boxing, and strong Muay Thai skills. He is also a high level wrestler, and has a brown belt in jiu jitsu. He prefers to use his wrestling to keep the fight on the feet and strike. He is coming off back to back losses by first round T/KO to Dane Cook, and Ogami Itto! Prediction: Huddlestone will have the advantage on the feet, and should be able to keep this fight in his realm. Huddlestone by UD. Middleweight Bout Darren "Hurt" Lockyer (15-7, 10-7 HMFL) vs. Luis Alberto "Golden Glory" Perez (31-25, 0-1 HMFL) Darren Lockyer, from Brisbane, Australia, is a boxer, with a strong Muay Thai game. He uses his wrestling skills to keep the fight standing, and his jiu jitsu skills to defend on the ground. He was a much more consistent winner earlier in his career, and has taken to trading wins and losses now, he is coming off a first round submission loss to Amin Sax! Luis Alberto Perez hails from Romania, and is a Muay Thai striker, dangerous with both his fists and feet. He has excellent clinch work, and a good defensive ground game, but likes to keep the fight on the feet. He is on a two fight losing streak, and is coming off a second round TKO loss to Fidel Bautista in his HMFL debut! Prediction: Perez has a slight advantage in the striking, and will likely be able to control in the clinch. Perez by UD. Welterweight Bout Test "#3" Subject (3-1, 1-0 HMFL) vs. Boba Solid (7-8, 1-1 HMFL) Test Subject hails from Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and is a strong boxer, with emerging Muay Thai skills. He has the cardio for long fights, but can also use his powerful strikes to end the fight early. He is on a two fight winning streak, and is coming off a second round knock out victory over Blake Ward in his HMFL debut! Boba Solid, hailing from West Ivory, Malawi, is a gifted Muay Thai striker, with an emerging boxing game. He uses his wrestling to keep the fight standing, and is known for quick TKO victories. He recently snapped a four fight losing streak, when he earned a first round TKO victory over Dylan Botelho in his last fight! Prediction: Test Subject is a slightly better striker, and his power could spell the difference in this one. Subject by KO (Round 2). Middleweight Bout Quiet "Spank" Monkey (8-7, 6-7 HMFL) vs. Wesley Julianno (11-6, 4-3 HMFL) Quiet Monkey, from White Oak in the USA, is a strong wrestler with a brown belt in jiu jitsu, who uses his emerging striking game, to set up his takedowns, and go for submissions on the ground. Seven of his eight victories have come by submission, and four of those seven have won a "Submission of the Night" award! He recently snapped a three fight losing streak, when he earned a first round submission victory over Oscar Rivas! Wesley Julianno, a native of Hong Kong, is a high level wrestler, that prefers to use his wrestling to keep the fight standing, and make use of his excellent, and varied striking skill set. He recently snapped a two fight winning streak, when he earned a third round TKO victory over Fidel Bautista in his last fight! Prediction: Normally I go with the grappler almost by default, but with Julianno having a massive advantage in the striking, and wrestling, it seems unlikely that the fight will enter Monkey's world. Julianno by KO (Round 1).
  3. http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg29/Overbay17/1383642563Logo_zps47586b08.jpg XKC 16 Friday, September 26, 2014 Live From Hayashi's Lounge in London, England MAIN EVENT http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/150x100q90/539/VC9M3q.jpg XKC Lightweight Title Pat "HD" Barry (28-8-1, 2-0 XKC) vs. Jakobi "Cyclone" Smithy (21-8-1, XKC Debut) XKC Lightweight Champion Pat Barry is the definition of an elite level striker, and should be difficult to remove the belt from. Hailing from New Orleans, Louisiana, USA, Barry is strong with both his fists, and kicks, and has a strong clinch game as well. While he was a knock out machine early in his career, he has a tendency now to go deep into fights and win lopsided decision victories. He has won both his XKC fights, by Unanimous Decision over Kid Kamakazi, and won the title off Jaakko Kolloo in his last fight! Jakobi Smithy, from Toledo, Ohio, USA, is a well rounded striker, at a high level both as a boxer, and with his kicks. He has a good clinch game as well. He has the cardio for a long fight as well, though he tends to finish a bit more than Barry at this point in his career. Smithy was on a two fight winning streak in Dynasty K-1 before signing with the XKC, with victories by second round T/KO over Will Robinson, and Tommy Morrison! Prediction: While both fighters are well rounded strikers, Smithy is just not on the same level as Barry, who's Elite striking skills will win him the day again. Barry by UD. CO-MAIN EVENT Light Heavyweight Bout Joseph Amadi (6-4, 5-4 XKC) vs. Armas Lumpio (9-2, 4-2 XKC) Joseph Amadi, from Abuja, Nigeria, is an accomplished boxer, who prefers to fight at distance peppering his opponents with punches. He has an emerging kicking game, and is very physically strong. Amadi, a former Light Heavyweight Champion, recently lost the belt to Dark Killer, and then lost by second round TKO to Armas Lumpio in his last fight, he will look to avenge that loss tonight, and get started back on the quest to get the belt back! Armas Lumpio, from Kuusamo, Finland, is a powerful, well rounded striker, with strong striking with both his hands and feet, and a strong clinch game to go with it. He will likely look to keep this fight in the clinch to keep Amadi from using his boxing to his advantage. Lumpio is on a two fight winning streak, with TKO victories over Je Tunaki, and Amadi! Prediction: While Amadi is the better boxer, Lumpio dominated in the clinch in their last fight, and that is likely to continue again this time around. Lumpio by TKO (Round 2). UNDERCARD Light Heavyweight Bout Brenton Bryce (5-7, 0-3 XKC) vs. Dark Killer (7-2, 7-1 XKC) Brenton Bryce, from Alberta, Canada, is a former hockey enforcer, known more for his pugilistic skills, than his skill at playing the game. He is a well rounded striker, with decent clinch work. However, he has shown a tendency to cut in his last two fights, both losses by doctor stoppage in the first round to Heavy Hands! Dark Killer is the former XKC Light Heavyweight Champion! Hailing from Murderville in Afghanistan, Killer is a strong boxer, with an emerging kicking game, and some skill in the clinch. He won the Light Heavyweight title off Joseph Amadi by second round TKO, but lost the belt on his first defense, losing by first round head kick knock out to Halfdan Lodbrok in his last fight! Prediction: While Bryce has the more rounded skill set, Killer will have the advantage in boxing, and in the clinch. Killer by TKO (Round 2). Super Heavyweight Bout Matt Weston (5-0, 3-0 XKC) vs. Shezzo "Habagat" Wicked (4-7, 1-2 XKC) Matt Weston, hailing from Washington, DC, is a boxer, with lethal high kicks, and a strong clinch game. He has the cardio to go deep into fights, but likes to finish as quickly as possible. He has won all five of his professional fights, including three in the XKC, with TKO victories over Sam Makatua, Steel Penn, and Tim Yankee! Shezzo Wicked, from Sampaloc in the Philippines, is also a high level boxer, with dangerous low kicks, and an emerging clinch game. He tends to go deeper in fights, and has the cardio to carry him through the deep water. While he won his XKC debut over Tim Yankee, he is now on a two fight losing streak, losing by second round TKO to Giacomo Benvenuti in a title bout, and losing by third round TKO to Antti Meijeri in his last fight! Prediction: While this fight is a toss up based purely on striking skill, Weston has momentum on his side, and will likely have a slight advantage in the clinch. Weston by TKO (Round 2). Heavyweight Bout "Knife" Zbigniew Ciosek (18-20-1, 1-3 XKC) vs. "Brysk" Bjarno Lackenmeier (14-6-1, 2-3 XKC) Zbigniew Ciosek, from Wielkie Pole in Poland, is a well rounded striker, dangerous with both his hands and feet, who likes to fight up close in the clinch. He has the cardio to drag fights into the deep water, with a tendency to go deep in fights. He lost his first three XKC fights to a who's who of XKC Heavyweights, Sexy Julian, Joaozinho Gurgel, and Alexander Zalachenko, but picked up his first XKC victory in his last fight, a Unanimous Decision victory over Peter Maynard! Bjarno Lackenmeier, from Skagen in Denmark, is a strong Muay Thai striker, with an excellent clinch game. He has monster cardio, and is a Decision machine, with 15 of his 21 fights going to the judges scorecards! Lackenmeier is on a two fight losing streak, with losses to Ser Gregor Clegane, and Ino Tatsuya, both by Unanimous Decision! Prediction: No morale for Lackenmeier means Ciosek should have no trouble picking up the victory! Ciosek by TKO (Round 1). PRELIMINARY CARD Middleweight Bout "Mr Turkish Delight" Hadi Ozturk (3-1, 3-1 XKC) vs. Victor Drago (0-0, XKC Debut) Hadi Ozturk is a Muay Thai striker from Dalaman in Turkey, with an emerging boxing game. Unlike many Muay Thai practitioners, he prefers to fight from distance, and trust his granite chin to protect him from his opponents blows. He is coming off back to back victories by Unanimous Decision over Robert Archer, and by third round head kick TKO over Johnny Lawrence! Victor Drago, a Muay Thai striker from Manchester, England, is a strong kicker, with an emerging punching game. It's sometimes difficult to know what to expect out of debuting fighters, but his skill set looks strong, if not as well rounded as Ozturk's. He makes his professional debut tonight in the XKC cage! Prediction: While Drago has slightly higher Muay Thai skills, Ozturk has superior boxing, and will likely be stronger in the clinch, and is also more experienced. Ozturk by UD. Super Heavyweight Bout Harold "Badr" Hari (3-4, 3-2 XKC) vs. Lex "Blaze" Lethal (2-4, 1-3 XKC) Harold Hari is a well rounded striker, with strong skills with both his hands and feet. He prefers to fight at distance, using his range to barrage his opponent with strikes. He is supremely confident in his abilities, but is coming off a first round knock out loss to Magnar Styr! Lex Lethal is a strong boxer, who is working to develope his kicking game, and likes to work from the clinch. He has a solid chin, that allows him to absorb more damage than some, but is coming off back to back T/KO losses to Magnar Styr, and Luke Plouman Jnr! Prediction: Not only does Hari have a more rounded skill set, but Lethal has low morale, which likely makes this a lock. Hari by KO (Round 1). Heavyweight Bout Ino Tatsuya (2-3, 1-1 XKC) vs. Peter Maynard (14-17, 0-7 XKC) Ino Tatsuya, from Osaka, Japan, was one of the most respected Muay Thai coaches in the world, before deciding to fight professionally himself. He is an elite level Muay Thai striker, with a strong punching game as well, and can also fight out of the clinch. He won a decision over Bjarno Lackenmeier in his XKC debut, but lost his last fight by first round knock out to Sexy Julian! Despite a strong striking skill set, and good clinch game, New York, USA native Peter Maynard has been a punching bag since entering the XKC, failing to win a fight in seven tries. Coming off a Unanimous Decision loss to Zbigniew Ciosek, Maynard will attempt to break his goose egg once again today! Prediction: Maynard has no morale, so despite actually being the better all around fighter, Tatsuya will likely have a short night in victory! Tatsuya by TKO (Round 1). Light Heavyweight Bout Toshiro Hitsugaya (4-5-1, 4-5-1 XKC) vs. Art "One Glove" Jimmerson (0-0, XKC Debut) Toshiro Hitsugaya, from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, is an intelligent fighter, with strong Muay Thai skills, and knock out power, who can fight from the clinch. He has an emerging punching game, but prefers to use his feet. Hitsugaya recently broke a four fight winless streak, with a first round knock out of Keirnon Jackson! Art Jimmerson is a making his professional debut at 27 years of age. He is an exceptional boxer, with emerging Muay Thai skills, who prefers to fight from distance. While it's always hard to tell with a debuting fighter, his skill set could lead to success in the sport of kickboxing! Prediction: While I would normally go with Hitsugaya's power, this fight may come down to fighter morale, and Jimmerson's more well rounded striking skills. Jimmerson by UD.

He really likes to mix it up, with 8 T/KO finishes, and 9 submission finishes. He has strong cardio, and has many memorable wars in his career, leading to 15 "of the Night" bonuses in 28 fights! Niedzwiedzki won the title off Bach Js way back in September of 2013, and has successfully defended the strap on nine occasions, the last being a "Fight of the Night" performance in a Unanimous Decision victory over Ashy Larry! Jacob Moora, an American from New York is also a strong all around fighter. While he has strong wrestling skills, he prefers to use them not to look for takedowns, but to keep the fight on the feet, and use his exceptional boxing, and muay thai skills to finish his fights. He is a finisher, having finished 17 of his 21 victories by TKO. Moora is on a four fight winning streak, and is coming off a victory by first round doctor stoppage over Kjell Dillon. Prediction: Nothing against Moonra, he is a strong fighter, but the champ will have the advantage in almost all facets of the game. Niedzwiedzki by Submission (Round 3). CO-MAIN EVENT Heavyweight Bout "Jam Jam" Jimmy James (16-8, 2-2 HMFL) vs. "Demolition Man" Cees Overeem (38-35, 5-3 HMFL) Jimmy James, fighting out of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, is a high level wrestler, with a black belt in jiu jitsu. While he is a strong Muay Thai striker, with good clinch work, he prefers to work his game on the ground. He is coming off a second round TKO loss to Ogustivimus Amavimus, and is coming down from Super Heavyweight for this fight! Cees Overeem, from Amsterdam in the Netherlands, is a former HMFL Heavyweight Champion, an exciting fighter, whose wins or losses have a tendency to happen in the first round. He is a strong striker, dangerous with both fists and feet, and is possessed of a devastating clinch game. He lost his title to Andrzej Niedzwiedzki back in July, but bounced back quickly with a victory by first round TKO over Monsun Moon. Prediction: While Overeem is the strongest striker, I believe James will be able to get this fight to the ground, where he will have a monstrous advantage. James by Submission (Round 1). UNDERCARD Light Heavyweight Bout Nova Uniao (22-14, 3-4-1NC HMFL) vs. "The" Craig David (28-25, 1-1 HMFL) Nova Uniao, from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil has some decent striking skills, but his real strength is on the ground, where he prefers to work his magic. He can both strike, and submit on the ground, and is very dangerous from just about any position. Uniao recently broke a three fight losing streak, with a first round submission victory over Bobby Tate! Craig David, from Southampton,England is definately on the back side of his career, as his skills have begun to deteriorate. His skills are now middling at best, but his knock out power, and cardio have allowed him to continue picking up victories even this late in his career! He has been trading wins and losses lately, and is coming off a loss by first round knock out to Manny Kumsaloti in his last fight. Prediction: While David can match Uniao in striking, if Uniao can get this fight to the ground, it shouldn't last long from there. Uniao by Submission (Round 1). Light Heavyweight Bout Sergi Vodkf (1-7, 0-2 HMFL) vs. Jeff Rogan (2-1, 1-1 HMFL) Sergi Vodkf, from Kinglon, Czech Republic, has a strong jiu jitsu game, but not much skill in any other area of MMA. He has power in his hands, but doesn't have the skill to land the blows to make it very effective. He is currently on a five fight losing streak, and lost a Unanimous Decision to RedHEED StepChild in his last fight. Jeff Rogan hails from Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and is an exceptional boxer, however, he has little kicking skill to mix things up, and his grappling game, while improving, is not great. He lost by first round knock out to Raiden Heath in his HMFL debut, but in his last bout he defeated Bug Spit by first round knock out in a kickboxing match! Prediction: Normally I would go with the grappler in this situation, but Vodkf is so demoralized that Rogan should have no problem picking up the victory! Rogan by KO (Round 1). Light Heavyweight Bout George "Gilbo" Gilbert (8-7-1, 1-1 HMFL) vs. "Dk" Danny Lynch (19-17, HMFL Debut) George Gilbert, hailing from Paramatta, Australia, is an exceptional level boxer, with a purple belt in jiu jitsu. While he does prefer to fight on the feet, he has no problem after a knock down, following his opponent to the ground, and either striking, or working submissions for the finish. While he defeated John Ottway by first round TKO in his HMFL debut, he lost a kickboxing match to Raiden Heath by first round TKO in his last fight. Danny Lynch, from Tralee, Ireland is an elite level boxer, with strong wrestling. A powerful striker, he prefers to fight from distance, while using his wrestling skill to keep the fight standing. His last fight was a first round TKO victory over Wilson Phillips in the Quick Fighting Championship, and he makes his HMFL debut tonight. Prediction: Likely to be a stand up war, with the two contestants just wailing away with punches! Lynch has the stronger boxing, so I'll go with him. Lynch by TKO (Round 3). PRELIMINARY CARD Light Heavyweight Bout Sioux "Bam Bam" Sie (14-12, 3-2 HMFL) vs. "Jumpin'" Tommy James (16-13-1, 3-3-1 HMFL) Sioux Sie, from Bujumbura, Burundi, is a strong wrestler, with a black belt in jiu jitsu. While he can strike, being highly skills in both boxing, and muay thai, he prefers to fight on the ground, where he can work his superior submission game. While he started his HMFL run with three straight victories, he is now on a two fight losing streak, losing by third round knock out to Tesco Vee in a Light Heavyweight Title Fight, and losing by second round TKO to Mason Archer in his last fight. Another well rounded fighter, Tommy James hails from Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and while he can strike, he prefers to work from the ground. He prefers to strike from top control, with 11 of his 16 wins coming by TKO, but also has a decent submission game. He recently broke a two fight losing streak, when he defeated Jamie Lynch by Unanimous Decision in his last fight! Prediction: While I would normally consider this a pick 'em fight, I will be going with Tommy James, because Sioux Sie has significantly less energy. James by TKO (Round 3). Light Heavyweight Bout Taza "ButterBash" Boyd (1-2, 1-0 HMFL) vs. Bug "Bugspit" Spit (3-1, 0-1 HMFL) Taza Boyd, from Mount Vernon in the United States, is a 19 year old fighter, whose skills are still developing, he can box a bit, and has a blue belt in jiu jitsu. He made his HMFL debut in his last fight, earning a first round submission victory over Javier Marcao! Bug Spit, fighting out of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, is a ground fighter, with strong wrestling, and a blue belt in jiu jitsu. He will likely want to get this fight to the ground, where he can work the submission game that has worked so well for him thus far in his career. All three of his victories have come in Quick Fighting Championship, and all by submission. He lost his only HMFL bout to Jeff Rogan by first round knock out. Prediction: I think both these guys will look to fight on the ground, but Spit will likely be able to gain control with his wrestling, and finish with a submission. Spit by Submission (Round 1). Heavyweight Bout Lester Bangs (4-2, 1-0 HMFL) vs. RC "Ric" RS (0-5, 0-1 HMFL) Lester Bangs is a strong all around fighter, from London, England. Bangs can strike, but prefers to work on the ground, where his strong wrestling base, and brown belt in jiu jitsu come into play and help him finish fights! He is currently on a three fight winning streak, and made his HMFL debut in his last fight, defeating Ryan King by first round submission. RC RS is from Rio Carlo in Trinidad & Tobago, and is a young fighter, whose skills are still emerging. He has decent boxing, and a blue belt in jiu jitsu. He has lost all five of his professional bouts, including his HMFL debut in a kickboxing match against Tyson Hard, where he lost by first round knock out. Prediction: Even if Lester Bangs didn't have such better skills than him, RC RS has no morale, and will therefore lose this fight, probably quite badly. Bangs by Submission (Round 1). Heavyweight Bout Bruce Hardman (3-0, 1-0 HMFL) vs. Johnny "Perfect" Storm (5-1, 1-1 HMFL) Bruce Hardman, from the United States, is an emerging young fighter, who likes to use his boxing skills to cause damage from punching distance. He has emerging Muay Thai, and wrestling skills, but boxing is what he mostly relies on right now. He has won all three of his professional fights, and made his HMFL debut in his last fight, defeating Tyson Hard by second round doctor stoppage. Johnny Storm, from New York City in the USA, is another young, emerging fighter, he has some respectable boxing, and strong wrestling to go along with a blue belt in jiu jitsu. He likes to take down opponents and strike from top control. Storm won five straight fights to begin his career, but took his first professional loss in his last fight, losing by first round TKO to Mikiya Hayashida! Prediction: Every fight starts on the feet, and I think Hardman will be able to overwhelm storm with is high level boxing, before storm can take him down. Hardman by TKO (Round 1). Middleweight Bout Dickie Crash (8-2, 8-2 HMFL) vs. Tommy "Grapple Bear" MacKenzie (14-10, 8-4 HMFL) Dickie Crash, from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, is a talented Muay Thai striker, with strong kicks, and a devastating clinch game. He has a brown belt in jiu jitsu, but uses his ground skills to defend, and stand up, more than to attack. Crash bounced back from a loss to Dexter Morgan, with a first round TKO victory over Wooden Pencil in his last fight. Tommy MacKenzie, from Edinburgh, Scotland, can certainly strike, but prefers to fight on the ground, where his high level wrestling allows him to control opponents, while he strikes, or attacks with submissions, with his black belt in jiu jitsu. He is currently on a two fight winning streak, with victories by second round knock out over Fidel Bautista, and Unanimous Decision over Dwight Eakins in his last fight. Prediction: While the two fighters are pretty even in their striking, I believe that MacKenzie will look to take this to the ground, where he will have a sizable advantage. MacKenzie by Submission (Round 2).

Tak Sin Thanarat is every bit the striker that Von Matterhorn is, and should provide a stiff test, also possessing excellent clinch work, and a granite chin! He has won all four of his XKC bouts over a who's who of the XKC's Heavyweight Division, including victories over Avon Barksdale, Sexy Julian, Hojo Yojimbo, and Edward Nygma! Prediction: This could be Von Matterhorn's stiffest test to date, but until he loses it's hard to go against such a dominant champ. Von Matterhorn by TKO (Round 4). CO-MAIN EVENT http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/150x100q90/539/VC9M3q.jpg XKC World Super Heavyweight Title Giacomo "The Cleaner" Benvenuti (10-0, 9-0 XKC) vs. Steel Penn (8-2, 3-2 XKC) XKC Super Heavyweight Champion, and Hall of Famer, Giacomo Benvenuti, despite his dominant record, having only been taken to a second round once, has still not reached his prime, which is scary. He is an elite level boxer, with strong Muay Thai skills, and a good clinch game. He defeated Codin Viperescu by first round TKO to win the title, and has recorded five successful defenses of his title, which included his first round knock out victory over tonights opponent, Steel Penn! He is coming off a successful defence by second round knock out over Shezzo Wicked! Steel Penn, from Hilo, Hawaii in the USA is a well rounded striker, with strong fists and feet, but unlike Benvenuti, he prefers to fight from distance, and is known for first round finishes, though he has the cardio for a long fight. He is an elite level boxer, with some kicking game. He prefers to fight from distance, and though he was defeated in his XKC debut, he bounced back in his last fight, with a third round TKO victory over Bedivere Vita Cadoc! Lucan The Butler, from Camelot in Wales, is the brother of Bedivere, who Sazuki defeated in his last fight! Dangerous with both punches and kicks, he also prefers to fight from distance, so this should be an exciting striking battle. In his last fight he snapped a three fight losing streak, with a first round TKO victory over Ricardo Awa! Prediction: Both are very strong strikers, but Sazuki's elite level boxing could be the difference. Sazuki by KO (Round 3). Welterweight Bout Yvgeny "The Folk Hero" Molotov (5-1, 5-1 XKC) vs. Atauallah "The Orb Spider" Ganteaume (1-0, 1-0 XKC) Yvegeny Molotov, from Minsk in Belarus, is the former XKC Welterweight Champion, he is a high level Muay Thai fighter, with a devastating clinch game, and a strong boxing game as well. He recently took over a month off after taking the first loss of his career, dropping the title to John Luther by fifth round TKO!. Atauallah Ganteaume, hailing from Arima, Trinidad & Tobago, was very impressive in his XKC debut. A highly skilled Muay Thai practitioner, with a devastating clinch game, and improving boxing, Ganteaume dominated Bill Bumfight for both rounds, before finishing the fight with a massive head kick TKO! Prediction: Should be an exciting battle pitting the former champion, against an emerging youngster. I'm going to go with what would surely be considered a big upset. Ganteaume by TKO (Round 3). Light Heavyweight Bout "The Warlord" Temujin Khan (1-0, 1-0 XKC) vs. Akihiko Yamato (4-1, 4-1 XKC) Temujin Khan made his professional kickboxing debut in the XKC in his last fight. He won four straight fights to start his career, but is coming off his first career loss, by first round knock out against Halfdan Lodbrok. Bartholomew Roberts is a well rounded striker from Swansea in the United Kingdom, and is dangerous with both his hands and feet. He will also look to keep the fight on the feet, which should mean an all out war! Roberts is on a spectacular run of form, with five straight victories, and is coming off a dominant performance in a Unanimous Decision victory over Cosh Boy! Prediction: In what is likely to be a battle fought entirely on the feet, Alex Steel's granite chin will likely be the difference. Steel by TKO (Round 3). Super Heavyweight Bout Cosh "Teddy" Boy (13-5, 13-5 HMFL) vs. Bob "The Beast" Sapp (23-23-1, 0-2 HMFL) Cosh Boy, a well rounded fighter from London, England, is the former HMFL Super Heavyweight Champion! A decent striker, his real strength is on the ground, where between his top flight wrestling skills, and his black belt in Jiu Jitsu, he is very dangerous! He has strong cardio, though he has only been out of the first round three times in his career! He recently had a two fight winning streak snapped when he lost a Unanimous Decision to Bartholomew Roberts! Bob Sapp is a massive striker from Colorado Springs, Colorado, who is always exciting to watch, having racked up 11 of the night awards in his career! He prefers to fight on the outside, using his reach to rain down hails of strikes on his opponent. A strong boxer, he prefers to use his fists, but can use his kicks as well. He has lost both his fights in the HMFL cage, losing by first round T/KO to Bartholomew Roberts, and Marcus Megnus Maximus! Prediction: With both fighters being about equal in the striking game, Cosh Boy will likely look to take the fight to the ground, where he will have a big advantage. Boy by Submission (Round 2). Super Heavyweight Bout Ian "The Sickness" Pathos (3-0, 2-0 HMFL) vs. Marcus Megnus "The Monster" Maximus (8-2, 7-2 HMFL) Ian Pathos is a strong all around fighter from Cairo, Egypt. In his young career he already has victories by both TKO and submission. He has strong wrestling, and a brown belt in jiu jitsu, to go along with strong boxing skills. He has won both his fights in HMFL, both over Don Bags, by first round TKO, and first round submission! Marcus Megnus Maximus hails from Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, and is an exciting fighter, with 4 "Of The Night" Awards in his 10 fight career! He is a boxer, with an emerging kicking game. He recently bounced back from a loss, with a 25 second knock out of Bob Sapp! Prediction: In a pure striking battle this would be close, but if Pathos can get this to the ground, it shouldn't be much of a contest. Pathos by Submission (Round 1). PRELIMINARY CARD Middleweight Bout "Charging" Bull Terrier (23-11, HMFL Debut) vs. "The Assassin" Lee Oswald (7-1, 3-1 HMFL) Bull Terrier is from Boucherville, Quebec, and is an elite level wrestler, and boxer, with a brown belt in jiu jitsu. Whether on the ground, or on the feet, he prefers to strike, with no submission victories on his resume. He has excellent cardio, and his last fight was a first round TKO victory over Richie Fanoogon in Confliction MMA back in March! Lee Oswald is from Dallas, Texas, and will fight in an MMA bout for the first time in his HMFL career, having previously only fought at K-1 HMFL events! Oswald works well in the clinch, and can cause damage with his boxing, and muay thai! Though he won his first three fights in HMFL, he lost his last fight by second round TKO to Arvo Pentti! Prediction: While Oswald is a strong fighter, Bull Terrier has elite skills both on the feet, and on the ground, and will likely win the fight. Terrier by KO (Round 1). Light Heavyweight Bout Tarmo Goyf (3-0, HMFL Debut) vs. Raiden "Thunder" Heath (4-1, 4-1 HMFL) Tarmo Goyf is a youngster from Ravnica on the isle of Cyprus, and is an emerging Muay Thai fighter, with strong kicks, and an emerging punching game. He has yet to show a proclivity for the clinch, preferring instead to fight at distance! He has not fought since April, when he knocked out Andrew Soltys in 44 seconds in Ultimate Pit Fighting! Raiden Heath is another young fighter, from Agoura, United States. He is a strong boxer, who prefers to fight with his fists, and has big power in his right hand. He has won four straight fights in the HMFL, all by first round T/KO, and is coming off a first round TKO victory over George Gilbert! Prediction: With both fighter being strong strikers in a different discipline, it will be a battle between Goyf's granite chin, and Heath's big right hand. I will go with the right hand this time. Heath by KO (Round 2). Middleweight Bout "French Tom Yam" Jeannot Chong Starbowsky li (7-24, 0-2 HMFL) vs. "Notorious" Christopher Walken (8-3-1, 6-2-1, HMFL) Jeannot Chong Starbowsky li is from Bangkok, is an all rounder, who has a lot of fights under his belt, some obviously above his level. He is currently on a 10 fight losing streak, and has lost both his fights in the HMFL cage, by second round submission to Amin Sax, and by third round TKO to TJ Welsh. Christopher Walken, from Toronto, Ontario, is a boxer by trade, with heavy hands, and a kicking game as well. He prefers to fight at distance, and has good cardio, with a penchant for going deep into fights. He recently broke a four fight winning streak, when he was knocked out in 35 second by Lee Oswald in his last fight! Prediction: While Starbowsky li is a decent all around fighter, Walken is stronger on the feet, and in his wrestling, and will likely pick up the win. Walken by UD. Middleweight Bout "Lucky" TJ Welsh (16-17-1, 14-10-1 HMFL) vs. Perry "Angry Man" White (3-0, HMFL Debut) TJ Welsh hails from St. Pie, Quebec, and though he has an emerging striking game, he is really dangerous on the ground, with a combination of decent wrestling, and a brown belt in jiu jitsu, he is not much of a finisher, with 12 of his 16 victories coming by decision. He is coming off a third round TKO victory over Jeannot Chong Starbowsky li! Perry White, from Toronto, Ontario, has almost no skill on the feet, but he has strong wrestling skills, and a purple belt in jiu jitsu. He has finished all three of his fights by first round submission, and is coming off a first round guillotine submission over Kain Rehel in Quick Fighting Championship! Prediction: While White has thus far won all his fights by quick submissions, it seems unlikely that he will be able to make that game plan pay off against Welsh, who is my pick to pull out the victory. Welsh by UD. Light Heavyweight Bout Chase "Chee-Z" Evans (1-1, HMFL Debut (1 NC)) vs. John "The Gray Wolf" Ottway (9-18, 1-5 HMFL) Chase Evans doesn't have any skill at all on the feet, meaning his main strength is on the ground, where his remarkable wrestling skills, and blue belt in jiu jitsu are his weapons. This is his HMFL debut, after his debut was cancelled after Joe Carson failed to make weight at HMFL FN 38! John Ottway is an all rounder from Ballymena, Northern Ireland, and has decidedly mediocre skills in just about every area, while not excelling at anything. Since winning a decision over Pat McDonald in his HMFL debut, Ottway is on a 5 fight losing streak, and coming off a 20 second knock out loss to Mark Kermodian! Prediction: John Ottway will likely pick up the victory, with Chase Evans morale being completely in the toilet. Ottway by UD.

He holds a brown belt in jiu jitsu, but tends to use these skills defensively to get the fight back to the feet. Cuenca won the Title in his HMFL debut, and has held the belt since August 2013, defending the belt successfully on eight occasions, the last of which was a dominant performance in a Unanimous Decision victory over Tangerine Dream! Dexter Morgan is a stone cold killer in the cage, known for his cold, emotionless fighting style, a well rounded striker, he prefers to fight from distance, with a devastating array of punches and kicks, and he has a strong defensive grappling game. He has won all four of his fights in the HMFL cage, and is coming off a second round TKO victory over Charles Stryker that earned him this shot at the title! Prediction: Hard to bet against the champ at this point, his devastating clinch game, and granite chin will be the difference in what would be his 9th title defense! Cuenca by TKO (Round 3). CO-MAIN EVENT Bantamweight Bout Yves "The Tiger" Jabouin (12-4, HMFL Debut) vs. "The Great Gazoo" Chong Zhu (14-7, 8-5 HMFL) Yves Jabouin is a Muay Thai striker, from Montreal, Quebec, Canada, finally coming to the home stage after a stint with the Ontario Fight Club! He has a strong clinch game, and devastating kicks, to go along with a granite chin! He comes off a 2-1 stint in the Ontario Fight Club, where he scored first round T/KO victories over both IP Freely, and Warwick Martigan, but is coming off a second round submission loss to Helio Perrera! Chong Zhu is a well rounded striker, good with both his hands an feet, from Beijing, China. He has excellent cardio, able to keep up a high pace through the late moments of the fight. He has no problem with submitting a guy, with four submission victories to his name, thanks to his jiu jitsu brown belt! He has had an up and down career in the HMFL, but is coming off back to back victories over Manus Grant, by Unanimous Decision, and third round submission! Prediction: Jabouin and Zhu have similar striking skill sets, but if Zhu can get the fight to the ground, he should have an advantage. Zhi by Submission (Round 2). UNDERCARD Light Heavyweight Bout Jomar Requina (16-9-1, HMFL Debut) vs. "The Kilt" Kjell Dillon (34-18, 1-4 HMFL) Jomar Requina hails from Laguna in the Philippines, and is a devastating striker, who is losing his power with age, early in his career he was known for first round finishes, but he more often now goes to the judges scorecards. He works well in the clinch, and his granite chin allows him to take a lot of damage. He is on a run of bad form lately, losing his last three fights, dropping a decision to Jethro Savage in Dynamite in his last fight. Kjell Dillon is a banger from Glasgow, Scotland, who claims he will never retire from fighting, and at the age of 43, looks set to make good on that claim. He has strong boxing, and a granite chin, and though he was a submission machine earlier in his career, seems more likely to stand and bang at this point in his career. His strong chin allows him to take the shots, but he has developed a tendency to cut, with all four of his HMFL losses coming by stoppage due to cuts. His lone win in HMFL was a brutal head kick knock out over Mikiya Hayashida, but he lost his last fight to Jacob Moonra by doctor stoppage (cut) in the first round. Prediction: Requina is my fighter, so I will refrain from predicting due to my own bias. Super Heavyweight Bout Billy Bob (2-12, 0-1 HMFL) vs. Tee Nah (10-5, 7-4 HMFL) Billy Bob is a Muay Thai striker from Hong Kong, who has middling Muay Thai skills, and a blue belt in jiu jitsu. He was dropped by his manager prior to this fight, and with that record one can certainly understand why. Completely demoralized, he lost his HMFL debutto Jon Grey, being submitted in just 29 seconds. Tee Nah, from Red Deer, Alberta, Canada, is a devastating striker, with excellent boxing skills, and an emerging Muay Thai game. He has excellent cardio, and despite his penchant for first round T/KO victories, can go deep into the fight and maintain his pace. However, cuts have been the bane of his existence, with four of his five career losses coming by doctor stoppage. He recently snapped a two fight losing streak with a first round knock out over Tom Erikson! Prediction: Likely to be a squash, as Nah has a vastly superior skill set, and Billy Bob has no morale. Nah by KO (Round 1). Bantamweight Bout Luis Barrera (17-19, 6-5 HMFL) vs. Cole "The dusten" Healey (1-8, HMFL Debut) Luis Barrera, from Juarez, Mexico, is a jiu jitsu black belt, whose insane flexibility allows him to lock on submissions out of no where, while he can strike, and has pretty good boxing skills, he uses this mostly as a way to set up getting his opponent to the ground. A former HMFL Champion at Featherweight, Barrera has fought for an HMFL title on four different occasions, including his loss to Ivan O'Rourke for the 135 lbs title earlier this year. That loss being the first of back to back losses for Barrera, with his loss to Patrick Tracy by second round knock out in his last fight! Cole Healey is not really on a level to be in this fight. A Muay Thai striker, his middling skills, and tendency to cut make him a heavy underdog in this fight. He has lost seven straight fights, the last four of them in the Quick Fighting Championship. Prediction: Barrera has no trouble getting back to winning ways, with a superior skill set, and no morale for Healey. Barrera by Submission (Round 1). PRELIMINARY CARD Welterweight Bout Jack Pot (15-9, 0-1 HMFL) vs. Vic Vantrell (8-10, HMFL Debut) Jack Pot, from Vatican City, is a beast on the ground, holding a black belt in jiu jitsu, along with strong wrestling skills, and is a cardio machine, despite a penchant for early finishes. He beat Dillon Weber twice in the first round in QFC's before making his HMFL debut, losing a Unanimous Decision to Run Forcover! Vic Vantrell, from Birmingham, Alabama, USA, is a strong wrestler, with a purple belt in jiu jitsu, and an emerging striking game, and two Sub of the Night awards in his eight victories. Always determined to gain victory in the cage, he can be difficult to finish, with most of his losses going into the late rounds. He has not fought since November of 2013, when he earned a first round TKO victory over Sun Shine in REVO! Prediction: Jack Pot has a superior skill set to Vantrell, and Vantrell has no morale, so will likely be a quick night for Jack Pot. Pot by Submission (Round 1). Light Heavyweight Bout Fred Zinisky (4-1, HMFL Debut) vs. Joe "Bagger" Bags (0-6, 0-1 HMFL) Fred Zinisky is a home town boy from Montreal, a one dimensional striker, he is good with both his hands and feet, and prefers to fight at distance. He has little skill on the ground, relying on control to get the fight stood up. He has a granite chin, able to take a lot of damage. Despite his one dimensional skill set he has found success, with four straight victories, leading to a title shot in his last fight, for the ECFL Light Heavyweight Title, where he lost by second round TKO to Akeel Lynch! Joe Bags, from Anjou, Brazil, is a Muay Thai fighter, with decent kicks, and some skill in the clinch, a very confident fighter, he keeps coming forward no matter what. However, six consecutive losses to start his career has left him with little in the way of morale, and he dropped a decision to Jeremy Lloris in his HMFL debut. Prediction: No morale for Bags will make this a short fight. Zinisky by Knock Out (Round 1). Lightweight Bout Oko Poli (MMA Debut) vs. Vince Banner (MMA Debut) A battle between two young fighters looking to make a good impression in their MMA debut here in the HMFL. Oko Poli is a submission grappler from Montreal, with a brown belt in jiu jitsu, making him very dangerous on the ground, but that is really the only dimension he has to his game. Vince Banner on the other hand is a Muay Thai fighter from Montreal, with a strong clinch game that makes him dangerous on the feet. Prediction: While Banner is a little more rounded, if Poli can get it to the ground, he has a massive advantage. Poli by Submission (Round 1). Heavyweight Bout Psycho "Hobo" Chomyn (MMA Debut) vs. All Sure (2-3, 1-3 HMFL) Another fighter makes his professional MMA debut! Psycho Chomyn is a hobo from Oxford, England, who is a competent striker, able to use both his hands and feet to deadly effect, but has little skill on the ground. All Sure, from Anjou, Canada, is a superb wrestler, who likes to get the fight to the ground, where he can work his ground and pound, and will also try to occasional submission. He has never finished a fight, and three straight losses have left him demoralized. Prediction: No morale at all for All Sure, means that it will likely be Psycho's first professional win in his first professional fight. Chomyn by KO (Round 1). Light Heavyweight Bout Jeremy "Flash" Lloris (2-3, 1-1 HMFL) vs. Jackie Poon (1-1, HMFL Debut) Jeremy Lloris, from Brest, France, is a Muay Thai striker, with a good clinch game, he is little use with his boxing, and is more likely to look for the standup than engage on the ground. Lloris made his HMFL debut in K-1 competition, losing by first round TKO to Johnny Blaze, but bounced back in his last fight, earning a Unanimous Decision in an MMA bout against Joe Bags. Jackie Poon is an all rounder, with some skill in all areas of MMA, but is not spectacular in any of them. He is very determined, and hard to finish. While he has a varied attack as a result of his all around game, he can be outclassed by someone with a lot of skill in one area, as shown in his last fight, when he was dominated in a Unanimous Decision loss to Owen William in QFC! Prediction: A tough call, but I will say that Lloris's superior Muay Thai will give him the edge in this one. Lloris by UD.

He is not much of a finisher, with 32 of his 43 fights having gone to the judges, and instead picks his opponents apart with good technical striking. He hasn't been able to get things going in the XKC yet, losing a unanimous verdict to Pat Barry in his debut, and battling to a majority draw with Laszlo Herczeg in his last fight! Former XKC Lightweight Champion Jaakko Kolloo, hailing from Pornainen in Finland, has a well rounded kickboxing game, with good skills with both his hands and feet, and strong wrestling base to inform his clinch work. He is also not much of a finisher, with 14 of his 22 victories coming on the judges scorecards. He won a decision over Laszlo Herczeg to win the Lightweight Title, but on his first defense, he lost that title to Pat Barry by decision. Prediction: Though both fighters have well rounded skill sets, Kid Kamikaze's elite level Muay Thai will likely be the difference that will allow him to control the fight! Kamikaze by UD. CO-MAIN EVENT Heavyweight Bout Ino Tatsuya (2-2, 1-0 XKC) vs. Sexy Julian (13-8, 2-2 XKC) Ino Tatsuya hails from Osaka, Japan, and is a Kyokushin Karate World Champion, and former Japanese National Champion in Muay Thai, after spending most of his life training fighters, he finally decided to try fighting professionally himself, and made his XKC debut at XKC 12, dominating Bjarno Lackenmeier for three rounds in a Unanimous Decision victory! Sexy Julian, from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada, is a well rounded striker, skilled with both his fists, and feet, and is a cardio machine, though it's a skill he's rarely needed, with his penchant for first round finishes. He's traded wins and losses for his XKC run, and is coming off a first round knock out loss to Joaozinho Gurgel in his last fight! Prediction: Sexy Julian is a dangerous striker, but Tatsuya's strong wrestling base will see him through once the fight moves in close. Ino Tatsuya by UD. UNDERCARD http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/150x100q90/539/VC9M3q.jpg XKC World Light Heavyweight Title Dark Killer © (7-1, 7-0 XKC) vs. Halfdan "Ragnarson" Lodbrok (4-0, 4-0 XKC) Dark Killer, hailing from Murderville in Afghanistan, is a strong boxer, with emerging Muay Thai, and clinch games. He is one of the most successful fighters in the XKC, earning victories in all seven of his fights. He is a cardio machine, that should have no problems if the fight hits deep water, and he has won five of his seven fights by TKO with punches. In his last fight, he won the Light Heavyweight Title, TKOing Joseph Amadi, who had previously defended the belt four times, in the second round! Halfdan Lodrok is a time displaced Viking from Skagen in Denmark, a fierce warrior, he has strong Muay Thai, with emerging boxing, and clinch games, and has a penchant for quick and brutal finishes, only going past the first round on one occasion, and finishing his last fight in the first round, with a brutal head kick knock out over Akihiko Yamato! Prediction: While Dark Killer is a strong fighter, I believe that this fight will likely end up in close, in which case I will give the advantage to Lodbrok! Lodbrok by TKO (Round 2). Middleweight Bout "Saggitarius" Robert Archer (3-2, 3-2 XKC) vs. Pat "Boom Boom" Garret (5-2, 4-1 XKC) Robert Archer is a boxer from Liverpool, England. A skilled boxer, who prefers to strike from distance, Archer is also working on his clinch game. While he doesn't have great Muay Thai, he is starting to pick up some techniques in his training. After struggling in the Superior Warrior tournament, Archer is now on a two fight winning streak, with impressive first round T/KO victories over Johnny Lawrence, and Simon Sor Suchart! Pat Garret is a tough fighter from Dublin, Ireland. An excellent boxer, he usually fights on the outside, but has a decent clinch game should he choose to use it. He has a granite chin, and takes a lot of damage without getting knocked out. After his decision loss to Yvegeny Molotov in a Welterweight Title Bout, Garret bounced back in his last fight, knocking out Piotr Redinov in just 54 seconds, and now steps up to 185 lbs for his battle with Archer! Prediction: Both fighters have very similar skill set, but I believe Garret's granite chin will be the difference. Garret by KO (Round 3). Super Heavyweight Bout Magnar "Of Thenn" Styr (3-1, 2-0 XKC) vs. Harold Hari (3-3, 3-1 XKC) Magnar Styr hails from Thenn in the Wilds of Iceland. He is a known cannibal, whose constant threats to eat his opponents have made him a controversial figure. However you can't argue with his results! An exceptional Muay Thai fighter with an emerging boxing game, all three of his victories have come by T/KO in the first round, and he has won both his XKC bouts, over Thanasis Kwnstantoulakis, and Lex Lethal! Harold Hari hails from Israel, and is a rounded striker, with good all around striking skills, but not great in any one area. He has enjoyed success since coming to XKC, with his only loss coming against Left Fist of Steel Penn, he quickly bounced back from that defeat in his last fight, with a Unanimous Decision victory over Luke Plouman Jnr! Prediction: While Hari has good all around skills, I believe Styr's advantages in both Muay Thai and wrestling, and penchant for quick finishes will be what carries the day! Styr by TKO (Round 1). PRELIMINARY CARD Heavyweight Bout "Knife" Zbigniew Ciosek (17-20-1, 0-3 XKC) vs. Peter Maynard (14-16, 0-6 XKC) A battle between two struggling fighters in the Heavyweight Division! Zbigniew Ciosek, from Wielkie Pole, in Poland, is a well rounded striker, good with his hands and feet, and proficient in the clinch. He has yet to achieve victory in the XKC, racking up three consecutive losses to top heavyweight fighters Sexy Julian, and Joaozinho Gurgel, and losing a tight Split Decision to Alexander Zalachenko in his last fight! Peter Maynard, from New York in the USA, seems to have all the skills needed to achieve consistent success in K-1 competition, but has failed to put it together in the XKC! A powerful striker, he has elite Muay Thai, with a strong clinch game, and is good with his hands as well. He has lost six straight fights in the XKC, and is coming off a first round TKO loss to Sexy Julian in his last fight. Prediction: While Maynard has the better skill set, six straight losses have left him demoralized, and this will likely be his downfall, with Ciosek picking up his first XKC victory! Ciosek by TKO (Round 1). Welterweight Bout Mark Addison (1-1, 1-1 XKC) vs. Mike "The Prodigy" Hussle (2-1, 2-1 XKC) Mark Addison, a Muay Thai striker from Glasgow, Scotland, has good kicks, and an emerging clinch game centering around doing maximum damage with punches, and knees. His boxing, and wrestling are improving, and he has one punch knock out power in his hands. Addison dominated the early rounds of his last fight, before being caught by Sonny Bill Uru's big right hand, losing by third round knock out! Mike Hussle, a Boxer from Leeds, England, is only 17 years old, and already three fights into his pro career! He is very good with his hands, and has an emerging Muay Thai game as well. Coming from humble beginnings, Hussle has shone thus far in his XKC career, and is coming off back to back victories by TKO over Tihon Lapardin, and taking home the Knock Out of the Night bonus in his last outing, for his spinning backfist knock out of Sonny Bill Uru at XKC 11! Prediction: Will pass on predicting this one since I am biased with Addison being my own fighter, may the best fighter win! Super Heavyweight Bout Luke Plouman Jnr (0-1, 0-1 XKC) vs. Lex "Blaze" Lethal (2-3, 1-2 XKC) Luke Plouman Jnr hails from Middlesborough in the United Kingdom, and is a Muay Thai striker, with an emerging boxing game. Plouman has heavy hands, but had trouble getting into the clinch in his first fight. He made his professional fighting debut at XKC 12, and was dominated by Harold Hari, losing a Unanimous Decision. He will look to put the disappointment behind him, and bring home his first pro victory tonight! Lex Lethal is a boxer from Gloucester, England, he is good with his fists, but not so much with his feet. He likes to fight in the clinch, and has a solid chin. He has been cut in every fight in the XKC, and lost his last fight by cut to Magnar Styr! Prediction: Plouman has the more rounded skill set, and heavy hands, I believe he will likely pick up his first professional victory tonight! Plouman by TKO (Cut) (Round 2).
  10. http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg29/Overbay17/1383642563Logo_zps47586b08.jpg XKC 13 Monday, September 8th, 2014 Live From Hard Knocks in London, England MAIN EVENT Heavyweight Bout "Mr. ASHY TO CLASSY" Edward Nygma (30-9, 1 NC, 6-2, 1NC XKC) vs. Alexander "Zala" Zalachenko (17-13, 1-1 XKC) Edward Nygma is a born finisher from HELL in Albania, having won 27 of his 30 victories by TKO! He has elite level boxing, with strong Muay Thai, and wrestling skills to back that up. He has strong cardio, and had a two fight winning streak snapped in his last fight, when he was TKOed in the first round by Tak Sin Thanarat! Alexander Zalachenko is a high level striker all around from Obukhovo, Russia, he has high level skills in both boxing, and muay thai, but his lack of a wrestling base will probably give Nygma the advantage in the clinch. He has a granite chin, and strong cardio, known for dragging fights into deep water. His last fight was a tightly fought Split Decision victory over Zbigniew Ciosek! Prediction: A fight that will likely be decided on the basis of fighter morale. With Nygma having superior boxing, and a clinch advantage, and Zalachenko having low morale, I will definately go with Nygma. Nygma by TKO (Round 1). CO-MAIN EVENT http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/150x100q90/539/VC9M3q.jpg XKC World Middleweight Title/Superior Warrior Tournament Final "General" Mathew Ridgeway (5-0, 5-0 XKC) vs. "Don" Tim Roth (4-1, 4-1 XKC) It's a rematch in the Final of the Superior Warrior Tournament, as we expect fireworks with Ridgeway and Roth colliding again! The two met in the third round of the tournament, with the all out war ending in a decision victory for Ridgeway! Mathew Ridgeway is a boxer from Fort Montroe in the USA, and will definately have the advantage with the hands today. He was the only fighter to come out of the Superior Warrior tournament without the blemish of a loss on his record, winning all five of his fights, all but the decision over Roth being finished via punches in the second round! Tim Roth is a Muay Thai striker from Bristol in the United Kingdom, Roth is likely to have the advantage with kicking techniques, though the last fight showed that Ridgeway will likely have the advantage in the clinch, due to his better wrestling base. Roth has heavy hands, winning three of his four victories by TKO with punches! Prediction: While Roth has the heavy hands to have a punchers chance here, Ridgeway's better wrestling base will likely give him the advantage in the clinch, taking away one of Roth's best weapons, so with apologies to my mentor, I believe Ridgeway will likely take the belt. Ridgeway by UD. UNDERCARD Light Heavyweight Bout Brenton Bryce (5-6, 0-2 XKC) vs. Heavy Hands (4-2, 4-2 XKC) Another rematch on the card, as Bryce and Hands faced off at XKC 10, with the fight ending at 1:45, and Hands being awarded the victory by doctor stoppage due to a cut. Brenton Bryce is a former hockey player from Alberta, Canada, known more for his skill with his fists than his skill with a stick. He has respectable skills in both boxing, and Muay Thai, and his hockey fighting back ground gives him a decent base for clinch work. He began his career on the Island, but with four of his five victories coming in Quick Fighting Championship it's hard to tell if he's legit or not. He has lost both his fights since coming to XKC, a 21 second TKO loss to Joseph Amadi in a 205 lbs Title Fight, and a loss by cut to Heavy Hands in his last fight. Heavy Hands is a well rounded striker from The Rock in the USA, with strong skills in both boxing and Muay Thai, he should have the advantage striking from distance, but Bryce's wrestling advantage may give him an edge in the clinch. Hands is a cardio machine with heavy hands, and snapped a two fight losing streak with his victory by cut over Bryce in his last fight! Prediction: While I would normally probably pick Hands in this fight, he has no morale, so should be an easy victory for Bryce. Bryce by TKO (Round 1). Lightweight Bout "THE DEATH RIDER" Kamikaze Sazuki (24-19-1, 0-1 XKC) vs. "Sir" Bedivere Vita Cadoc (3-3, 2-1 XKC) Kamikaze Sazuki is an elite level boxer from Osaka, Japan, who also has good Muay Thai skills, and clinch work. He has strong cardio, with half his 24 wins coming by decision, but also is powerful, able to TKO guys if he finds an opening. He had his XKC debut at XKC 11, where he lost a Unanimous Decision to Feyd Rautha Harkonnen. Bedivere Vita Cadoc is one of the Knights of King Arthur's round table, from Camelot in Wales. He is one of the most well rounded fighters, with high level boxing, and Muay Thai skills, as well as a strong wrestling base to help with his clinch work. He has a granite chin, and while he lost three of his first four career fights, he is coming off back to back victories over Gar Logan! Prediction: While Sazuki is more experienced, and a better boxer, I believe that Bedivere's Muay Thai advantage, and probable advantage in the clinch will give him the advantage in the fight if he can get it in close. Bedivere by TKO (3rd Round). Lightweight Bout "Sir" Lucan The Butler (3-3, 1-3 XKC) vs. Ricardo "Walang" Awa (16-16-1, 0-1 XKC) Lucan the Butler has obviously lept forward several centuries in time, hailing from Camelot in Wales, he is looking to prove that he is as good a warrior as his brother Sir Bedivere! He has had little luck thus far in XKC, and while he has a very good skill set for success, with high level boxing and muay thai skills, it hasn't traslated to success in the ring. After winning a decision in his XKC debut, Lucan has lost his last three fights, the last two by decision to Tom Kite. Ricardo Awa is a well rounded striker from Tondo in the Philippines, predominantly a Muay Thai striker, he is powerful, and has a strong boxing game as well as a wrestling base. Surprisingly, his prowess in the bedroom, and the garden has not translated to consistent success in MMA or kickboxing, though he was at one point the Hilo Hardhitters Welterweight Champion. He made his XKC debut at XKC 10, losing to Danny Osei Tutu by first round TKO! Prediction: Again a problem with morale will dictate my decision here, as Awa is not feeling very good about himself at the moment. I believe that Lucan the Butler will end his losing streak! The Butler by TKO (Round 2). PRELIMINARY CARD Welterweight Bout Sonny Bill "Super Maori" Uru (2-5, 2-5 XKC) vs. Piotr Redinov (9-3, 1-3 XKC) Sonny Bill Uru is an excellent boxer from Auckland, New Zealand, with improving Muay Thai, and clinch games, he has knock out power in his big right hand, that he used to pick up his knock out of the night award against Mark Addison at XKC 9, but has struggled to sustain success, as he lost in his last fight against Mike Hussle by first round TKO! Piotr Redinov is a Muay Thai striker from Warshava, Poland, with almost no boxing skill, however he has a wrestling base for his clinch work that will likely give him an advantage should the fight be fought in close. He has knock out power, but has looked pretty demoralized lately after back to back losses by first round T/KO to John Luther, and Pat Garret! Prediction: Under optimal circumstances I would probably go with Redinov, but I have a feeling Sonny Bill Uru's big right hand will get him the victory thanks to a lack of morale for Redinov. Uru by TKO (Round 1). Welterweight Bout Bill Bumfight (3-1, XKC Debut) vs. Atauallah "Orb Spider" Ganteaume (0-0, XKC Debut) Bill Bumfight, an accomplished boxer from New York, has fought all his previous bouts with Golden Ring, a boxing promotion, with all three of his victories coming by T/KO in the first round. A finisher, he is noted however almost exclusively for his boxing, though rumour has it he has been working on his Muay Thai techniques in training. We will have to see how he cuts it with the kickboxing transition. Not much is known of the Orb Spider, a young man from Arima in Trinidad & Tobago, with this being his first professional fight, amateur scouts have him down as a well rounded striker, with some good clinch work, but it is oftentimes difficult to gauge how amateur experience will translate in the professional ring. Prediction: Normally I would go with the more experienced fighter here, but assuming Ganteaume can live up to his "scouting report", I think wins here in his professional debut. Ganteaume by TKO (Round 2). Middleweight Bout/Superior Warrior Tournament 3rd Place Bout "Make Them Bleed" Brutal Demise (3-2, 3-2 XKC) vs. Albert "Chalky" White (2-3, 2-3 XKC) Another rematch in the battle for third place in the Super Warrior Tournament, this one a bit more lopsided first time around, as Brutal Demise dominated White for 1:35, before unleashing a massive uppercut for the TKO victory! Brutal Demise is a well-rounded kickboxer from Bristol in the United Kingdom, he has strong Muay Thai, and a wrestling base for his clinchwork, and his boxing is coming around, helped by natural KO Power, while he won his first three fights in the tournament by brutal finishes, he is coming off back to back losses by second round TKO to Tim Roth in the third round of the tournament, and to Mathew Ridgeway in the Semi-Final! Albert White is a boxer from Belgium, who specializes in fighting with his hands, with not much skill in many of the other areas of the sport. He is heavy handed, and won his first two fights of the tournament, before losing three consecutive fights by TKO to Brutal Demise, and Mathew Ridgeway in the third round, and to Tim Roth in the Semi-Final! Prediction: Their first fight was a lopsided victory for Brutal Demise, and I expect it will be no different this time out. Demise by TKO (1st Round).

Not to say he still can't knock guys out as evidenced in his final fight with Dynasty K-1, a brutal 19 second head kick knock out over Kamikaze Suzuki. He has elite level skills in both his boxing and Muay Thai, and in his XKC debut, earned a close fought Unanimous Decision victory over Kid Kamakaze that earned him a shot at the title! Jaakko Kolloo, fighting out of Pornainen, Finland, is the XKC Lightweight Champion! While most of his career was fought in mixed martial arts organizations, he has turned his attention fully to K-1, and though he struggled to make the transition, losing his first two XKC bouts, including a Lightweight Title clash with Tom Kite, he now has back to back victories under his belt, with a third round TKO victory over Captain Kat, and a five round Unanimous Decision victory in an all out war with Bong Toe, that earned him the Lightweight Title! Prediction: In a battle of two cardio kingpins, it will likely be Barry's Elite level striking that tips the scales. Barry by UD. CO-MAIN EVENT Heavyweight Bout "Panthera Onca" Joaozinho Gurgel (13-10-0, 1-1 XKC) vs. Sexy Julian (13-7, 2-1 XKC) Joaozinho Gurgel, from Brasilia, Brazil, is a Muay Thai striker, whose vicious, come forward, knock out, or get knocked out style has made him a favorite of the fans, and earned him plenty of money, with 13 of the night bonuses in 23 career fights. Gurgel has gone to the judges scorecards just twice in his combat sports career, and won't be looking to go to them tonight! Sexy Julian, from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada, is another finisher, with power in his hands, he has been to a decision just once in his kickboxing career, in his CTC debut, a decision victory in a Fight of the Night bout against Zbigniew Ciosek, and while he lost his next fight by KO to Tak Sin Thanarat, he bounced back in his last fight to earn a 43 second TKO victory over Peter Maynard, and return to his winning ways! Prediction: With two known finishers entering the ring, there are likely to be fireworks, and it would be surprising to see this go to the judges scorecards, while it's a hard choice, I think Gurgel's wrestling training will give him the advantage in the clinch. Gurgel by KO in Round 2. UNDERCARD Light Heavyweight Bout Joseph Amadi (6-3, 5-3 XKC) vs. Armas Lumpio (8-2, 3-2 XKC) Joseph Amadi, a native of Abuja in Nigeria, is an excellent boxer, who is rounding out his striking skill set with some respectable Muay Thai, he is very physically strong, and is knock for finishing his opponents, he won the Light Heavyweight Title with a brutal knock out of Je Tunaki at XKC 2, and had three successful defenses, all won by TKO, two in the first round, before losing the title by second round TKO to Dark Killer in his last fight. He was eager to jump right back into the ring and get a start on his road back to the title! Armas Lumpio, out of Kuusamo, Finland, is a well rounded striker, with skills in both boxing, and muay thai, and a strong wrestling base for his clinch work. He is powerful, and is coming off a first round TKO victory over Je Tunaki. Lumpio will likely want to keep this fight in the clinch, where he can control Amadi, while Amadi will likely want to fight at range, where he can use his reach, and superior boxing to pick Lumpio apart! Prediction: I think Lumpio's more rounded skill set will give him the advantage in this one. Lumpio by third round TKO. Heavyweight Bout Ino Tatsuya (1-2, XKC Debut) vs. "Brysk" Bjarno Lackenmeier (14-5-1, 2-2 XKC) Ino Tatsuya, fighting out of Osaka, Japan, has long been one of the greatest Muay Thai coaches in the world, however, at 33 he has yet to fight in any credible organization kickboxing or otherwise, with his three fights all coming in the Quick Fighting Championship! However, he has been rounding out his skills in boxing, and wrestling, and is now looking to fight professionally instead of just training other fighters! Bjarno Lackenmeier is a Muay Thai striker from Skagen in Denmark, he is known as a cardio machine, able to grind any opponent to the judges scorecards, with only two of his fourteen victories coming by way of a finish. However, he looked completely demoralized following his decision loss to Ser Gregor Clegane in his last fight! Prediction: While I might have gone with Lackenmeier in this fight under nominal circumstances, if Lackenmeier's morale isn't worked up before the fight, Tatsuya should have no problem picking up his first XKC victory! Tatsuya by 1st Round TKO. Super Heavyweight Bout Shezzo "Habagat" Wicked (4-6, 1-1 XKC) vs. Antti Meijeri (3-3, 2-3 XKC) Shezzo Wicked, from Sampaloc in the Philippines, is an exceptional boxer, who has worked hard to round out his skills in Muay Thai and wrestling as well! While he took a beating in Quick Fighting Championship early in his career, he reeled off a four fight winning streak, including a first round TKO victory over Tim Yankee in his XKC debut that earned him a fight with XKC Hall of Famer Giacomo Benvenuti for the Super Heavyweight Title, which he lost by knock out in the second round in his last fight! Antti Meijeri is a Muay Thai fighter from Hanko in Finland, who also has strong boxing, and emerging wrestling skills to back up his clinch work. Meijeri recently had a two fight winning streak (Unanimous Decision over Left Fist of Steel Penn, 1st Round TKO over Tim Yankee) broken when he lost by first round knock out to Sam Makatua! Prediction: Shezzo Wicked has the better wrestling, and boxing skills, plus managed to survive a round with Benvenuti, which no other fighter has managed to do, so I'm pretty confident picking him for the victory here. Wicked by TKO (Round 2). PRELIMINARY CARD Featherweight Bout "Adrijan" Billy Joakim-Antrim (5-2, 0-1 XKC) vs. Zhu "Quick" Yuan (0-3, XKC Debut) Billy Joakim-Antrim is an outlaw from Fort Winter, Old Mexico, USA, who has heavy hands, and is good working from the clinch, with his Muay Thai fighting style, his debut in XKC was a bloody three round war with Hematoma Hominick, that had Antrim come out on the wrong end of a Unanimous Decision. Zhu Yuan fights out of Mekong, China, and likes to fight at distance, using his boxing to pick opponents apart, he has a lot of heart, and is difficult to knock out, however, he fought three times in the Extreme Fist Fighting Association in Amsterdam, losing twice by Unanimous Decision, and once by TKO in the fourth round! However, his morale will have taken a hit, being dropped by his manager going into the fight. Prediction: Yuan has yet to pick up a victory, and without a manager in his corner, I don't see him picking one up this time, especially against a skilled fighter like Antrim, who will likely pick up his first XKC victory! Antrim by UD. Middleweight Bout "Saggitarius" Robert Archer (2-2, 2-2 XKC) vs. Simon Sor Suchart (0-0, XKC Debut) Robert Archer fights out of Liverpool, England, and has strong boxing, with emerging clinch skills. Thus far in his short career he has tended towards victory by early finish, but has yet to win when the fight goes past the first round. He broke a two fight losing streak in his last fight with a first round knock out over Johnny Lawrence! Simon Sor Suchart is a big 185er from Kingston, Jamaica! He is entering his first professional fight here in the XKC, but scouts from the amateur circuit report that he has a well rounded striking repetoire that should hold him in good stead in the sport of kickboxing! Prediction: We don't know much about Suchart, so it's hard to pick him, while he has the better striking, Archer's wrestling may stand him in good stead if he can get to the clinch. Archer TKO (Round 1). Super Heavyweight Bout Harold "Badr" Hari (2-3, 2-1 XKC) vs. Luke Plouman Jnr (0-0, XKC Debut) Harold Hari fights out of Israel, and is a well rounded striker, proficient in both boxing and Muay Thai! Hari tends to like to fight at distance, picking opponents apart with precision striking, he shows unwavering confidence in the ring, and won his first two XKC bouts, including a lethal head kick knock out over Asos Than, but in his last fight, but in his last fight, he lost to the Left Fist of Steel Penn by head kick knock out. Luke Plouman Jnr is another fighter making his professional debut tonight, fighting out of Middlesborough, UK, by all reports an exceptional Muay Thai fighter with some emerging boxing skills, however, we will have to wait until later tonight to see what he really has to offer at the professional level! Prediction: Plouman seems well trained, but will be in tough against Harold Hari, who has been impressive in most of his XKC fights, I will go with experience. Hari by TKO (Round 3). Light Heavyweight Bout "The Warlord" Temujin Khan (0-0, XKC Debut) vs. Lucifer Tyson (0-0, XKC Debut) A battle between two fighters new to professional kickboxing, as hulking Muay Thai striker Temujin Khan, out of Ulan Bator, Mongolia, and Lucifer Tyson, a more well rounded fighter out of London, England enter the ring! Both will be looking to impress in their first XKC contest, and pick up that all important first career victory! While Khan will likely have the advantage in his kicks, and clinchwork, Tyson will have an advantage with his fists if he can keep the fight at distance. Prediction: A tough call since we know very little about either fighter, but will side with Tyson's more rounded striking game. Tyson by UD. Middleweight Bout "Mr. Turkish Delight" Hadi Ozturk (2-1, 2-1 XKC) vs. Johnny "Karate Kid" Lawrence (0-2, 0-2 XKC) We will start off the night with a battle between two participants from the recent Superior Warrior Tournament! Hadi Ozturk, an absolute delight from Dalaman in Turkey! He is a Muay Thai striker with excellent kicks, but his boxing game is also coming along. He usually prefers to fight at distance, and has a chin made of concrete, able to absorb any punishment his opponent can threaten with! All of his fights in the Superior Warrior Tournament went to the judges, and he is coming off a victory over Robert Archer! Johnny Lawrence, a devastating Muay Thai striker, from Buffalo, New York in the USA, will have the advantage in the Muay Thai, and wrestling in this fight, and likes to fight from the clinch, though he's had precious little luck getting there in his first couple fights. He will want to make this a dirty inside brawl, and get to winning ways, as he lost both his Superior Warrior fights by T/KO in the first round! Prediction: While Lawrence could be devastating if he can make this a dirty, up close fight, my money is on Ozturk's more well rounded striking game, and granite chin. Ozturk by UD. Quick Notes Xtreme K-1 Combat is always looking to recruit fighters, and has an especially big need for fighters for the 145, and 185 lbs divisions, both are 240K ID restricted.
