  1. Lesnar because of the better chest-tattoo shot to the groins or getting trapped in a heel-lock?
  2. Uniconor and doctorwho, you could compete as a tag team. on average you got the perfect waight. i would participate myself, but my contract with man-rassling-with-love is exclusive.
  3. i had this fight which might be somehow interessting here: http://www.mmatycoon.com/fightcommentary.php?FTID=683927 in round 2 the first move was a takedown. For the rest of this round the fight happened on the ground without any ref-standup. Just taking a look on the fight-description makes me think: wow, that was an active ground-fight. Lots of coloured text, lots of missed sub-attempts. There was also some gnp and some attempts to improve position. So i tried to figure out why there was no ref-standup for the full round. First i thought it might be the load of sub-attempts, but than i saw fights with a compareable amount of sub-attempts per lines with a ref-standup shortly after the last sub-attempt. My next guess was that the rather successful gnp kept it on the ground. I read some other fights with high and low gnp success-rate and so far i think you need to land a move every here and there to prevent the ref from standing you up (or maybe its the other way round: a ref-standup happens after a given amount of failed moves on the ground). If im right it might not be to much of control that leads to the standup. Maybe a little bit more control to set up a punch that lands could be more fruitful than bad? But ofc all i think could be bullshit as well The second thing about this fight is the rate of takedowns. Gein threw some strikes (51 all together, not including clinch-attempts) and mixed in 6 td-attempts (he got 1 out of this 6). Helio threw 3 strikes only and attempted 12 tds (he got 2 out of this 12). This looks a little contradictionary to the "mix it up" approach. Both fighters had the same successrate on takedowns. Well, ofc it could haven been that helio had far superiour takedown-def (geins had sensational takedown off at that time) or that this was just some "unlucky" random effect at all. I dont know, just brought it up because it looks interesting to me.
  4. i think he was talking about this castor rolling, not about you. We all know that you are the forum and the game and most likely a lot more, but now we are interested in castor since you spoke so nice about him.
  5. wouldn't you like to ride a roller castor right now too? All the fluffy ups and downs and ups and downs....
  6. most high-quality iq tests show high correlations in their results. Usually the single iq-value is given with a confidence interval which tells you how "accurate" the measurement is. Your true iq might be somewhere between measure iq value - confidence interval and measured iq value + confidence interval with a probability of 95%.
  7. sounds great! can you post a link to this castor rollins dude? Never heard of him, but sounds like a great guy/girl. thanks in advance
  8. "Banana Joe" Bud Spencer Junior is looking for a contragt http://www.mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilemanager.php?FID=253514 At the moment Bud is in St.Petersburg. He owns a little banana-farm over there and because of the excelent climate for growing bananas in russia Bud would prefere a contract to an Org somewere near St.Peters because this way he could keep his farm. So far Bud didn't have a professional fight in the cage but he got some fighting experiance against other farmers and against brasilian banana spiders (which he imported to his farm in st.peters for the thrill of work and also because he enjoys theyr juicy taste). Mr. Spencer is looking forward to fight for your org. greetings
  9. i would love to take part in this competition, but am a little short on time right now. But since there are no real attemts here (at least not postet in this thread; hope you are not to angry about that statement kenlow) you could increase the deadline for anothe 7 days maybe?
  10. wow, so you and dynamite would have something in common. nice but as usual your statement is pretty wrong. dynamite comes in big packages. The ones who are allowed to buy it need a lot, so they tend to order more of it = large package so now, that your little match went out, the biggest load of dynamite couldn't save you anymore. well done
  11. in this case you are trying to fight a forest fire with a match. Better hold your breath now, to now blow out your little flame.
  12. wow that one must have hit you hard since you felt the need to reply twice. so i will give you a little hint to help you out of the dilemma of not understanding a thing: hot air, do you talk it? btw shakspear is great! You must be a true genius mate
  13. oh sorry mate, i didn't knew that the air i breath was the one you desired to heaten up...
  14. i would never ever compare intelligence to you because its obvious that this 2 things dont fit together. but i wouldn't compare an adjective to a noun anyway. This doesn't look to be a very intelligent comparison to me. But ofc you might see it in a different way because of statement 1.
  15. yea im sure you didn't know better... because this is your first account so how could you know?.... i see i see
  16. so why did you steal it if you dont need it anyway? Just to store the jpg on your disc right? and just to wright it down: its not the aliance you are in but the fact that you have stolen a custom avatar that makes you a dick. So you could leaf your aly but still be a scum
  17. either your to stupid or to ignorant to notice that one has to pay for a custom avatar made by someone else
  18. ha! you are lying! you're just afraid that i bring back my Stern from retirement to beat up your fighters, in case you dont accept my oppinion
  19. To me it looks like the guys he fought were pretty bad so far. Most of them seam to have no striking-def at all. since the totd of your opponent allways said tends to cut instead of natural ko power or something his displayed "ko-power" could come from a very high damadge setting on the dam/accuracy slider. In this case you might be able to counter a lot (in case your fighter has a solid striking-def) and take him down early. So i think grasmans advice is a good one.
  20. ahahaha the punch-drunk-syndrom is called like this for a reason. Nice idea, but i think its not very flattering for real life fighters well the deffinition IQ is what an IQ-Test measures is more of a joke than a true deffinition. The thing is we do use the word intelligence very frequently but dont know what it means in detail. There are lots of different deffinitions for Intelligence, most of them sound pretty similar but each one has some slightly differences. Thats ok, well its actually a good thing because Intelligence is man-made term. Since different people have different understanding of intelligence its a good thing that they tell us what the understand by it. Age is a little different. Its defined as the time spent on earth since you were born until now. Thats pretty clear. Intelligence can be the ability to deal with numbers in a very quick and accurate way, to deal with words in a very beautyful way, to fulfill complex mental-rotation-tasks super fast or to get the sollution of a problem by getting help because of your nice one social intelligence. I for myself dont think that social intelligence is a "true" form of intelligence but how can i proof it. Its not like age that i can simply measure some physical parameters and say: hell, he is 14. I got to use an iq-test, but since they iq-test measures what the author understands by intelligence (and not a 100 percent objective thing) i might get different results from different tests Thats why the phrase intelligence is what intelligence-tests measure is a valid thing. Btw. the relation between IQ and intelligence was firstly described by http://www.mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilepublic.php?FID=16655 wo was not just a great psychologiest but also a beast in the cage!
  21. yea, but since IQ i sometimes defined as the ability to do well in an IQ-test they are still pretty valid
  22. I think it depends a lot on the stock-image and on how the avatar is made. i made a blanka-avatar that got rejected because it was to ubernatural (but ofc this blanka is a greenfaced semi-ape so it might not be the one prototypical street-fighter). I've made it without reading the rules before so i didn't know but after reading them it was pretty obvious that an avatar like this gets rejected. But if you take one of the new high quality images of ryu (who is, compared to blanka, a little bit more human but still i smell some trt) they do nearly look like real-life pictures. With the little tweeking that happens when croping the fighters face in you might not be able to judge if this was a real life karateka or The Ryu Thunder that was used as stock (in case you dont know ryu ofc). So i'd say if the avatar looks good realistic enough to compete in a beauty contest against mickey rourke it will be accepted. But since the decission is made by mike it might be a little subjective and vary from case to case (not to be ment as criticism but thats how humen make theyr decissions). so if you want a dragonball z avatar and be on the safe side i'd suggest this one as a stock-immage: http://www.viralline.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/paper-costume-funny.jpg
  23. i think the percentage slider for confidence is good pick. Basically its the same as the rating scale you are suggesting (if you break your scale down to percenteges you would have 0, 25, 50, 75, 100 percent) with the little advantage that it measures a bit "finer". It also helps a bit to avoid the tendence that people like to pick the item in the middle of the rating scale. Another problem with rating scales is that they often reach only ordinal level (the distance from very unlikely to likely might be larger/smaller than the distance from unlikely to 50/50). In this case you should not use parametric methods to analyse data but i think the confidence value could cary a lot of information so mike most likely wants to use it as a parametric variable. But i am with you when it comes to the prediction slider. I think we dont need this one. Since the outcome of a fight can only be a win, a loss or a draw i think this 3 options are enough to choose (since you are measuring the confidence-value anyway with the confidence scale). Would be interesting to see if there is a correlation between the actual confidence scale and the abs value of the prediction skale (when you take it as -50 for fighter a wins to 0 for draw to +50 fighter b wins). I think it might be something like the higher the confidence value the higher the abs prediction value as well But im just guessing. maybe 2 sliders carry indead some more information.
  24. yea, i think i understood that right, but im pretty sure i set it to 4 percent (the slider was placed very far to the left side, but maybe something went wrong with that or soever) and it tells me 96 percent. Not ment to be criticisms or to say that this didn't work right. Just wanted to mention it because it could have been some little coding-accident or something thats a pain in the ass to finde later on. But it looks like i am the only one who has experienced this, so it might be just my personal mistake
