Hi guys. OK, so after the discussion regarding QFC org fighters' hype and popularity getting too high for their skill level, I've implemented the following change. If you fight in normal orgs, this won't affect you so you don't need to read it 1. First off, no fighter is having their hype or popularity cut - this will play out naturally after each fight. 2. Changes in hype / pop for a loss are not changed at all. 3. Changes for a win have been altered as follows: I have ordered all fighters by total skill, so the most highly skilled fighter is ranked #1 etc, down to the worst. We look at that value vs the p4p rank to work out a sensible increase in hype and popularity from a fight. If they're not massively different, then the calculation will be exactly the same as it was. If the fighter's p4p rank is miles higher than his total skill rank, then we alter the increase in hype and popularity from a win. The bigger the difference, the less hype and popularity gained. If you want a bit more info about the calcuation, here you go: Let's pretend we have 100 fighters in the game. The point at which this kicks in is if there's a 33% difference if we rank the top fighter in the game as 1 and the worst fighter as 100. So if you're ranked as number 5 fighter p4p: - Up to 38th best in terms of total skills, the hype and pop gain from a fight is exactly how it was before. - If you're 39th in terms of total skill, that's when it would kick in. It's a sliding scale, so at that point there would be virtually zero impact on the hype and pop gained from a fight. - If you're only 50th in terms of total skills, then you'd get a much bigger change (around half). - By the time we get down to around 70-75th, we're down to 5%ish of the hype/pop increase you would have got before. Hope that makes sense. It will mean QFC org fighters will settle out further down the hype scale. What that level is, I don't think is possible to work out, so we'll just have to wait and see if people are happy with it. We can change the equation fairly easily so that the top QFC fighters settle a bit higher / lower on the overall scale. Note, this is implemented as of now. As this was pushed forwards in terms of importance by a little bit of drama, the QFC rankings page etc isn't ready to roll out yet. It will be done soon.
