  1. http://i.imgur.com/BawKd7t.png Edition #18 It is with a sad and heavy heart that I write this piece really but considering the event, it’s something that has to be reported on. We hope to have a regular edition out before the end of the month regarding other news, but honestly this deserves an edition all of it’s own. A thread was posted earlier a few hours ago by Mike Tycoon himself regarding to two top ranked managers in the game - Mr Wolf and Aaron ThaiGuy. In his thread, which you can READ HERE, Mike Tycoon explains the following; While creating the Mobile Version of the Website, Mike Tycoon enlisted the help of Aaron ThaiGuy in converting the site into a mobile friendly version. As part of Aaron helping him, Mike created a folder which Aaron could use to test the pages he did to ensure they worked properly. Members of the community noticed suspicious goings on with Wolf and Aaron including their fighters seeming to not train yet growing in skills rapidly. The breaker though was a coupe of Aaron's fighters having suspicious TOTT showings, with one fighter changing from "Good Chin" to "Granite Chin" and another fighter who was in a creation tournament showing "Insanely Flexible". Mike made numerous checks and so asked Wolf about it. Wolf confessed to the situation immediately. The result was Aaron was using the folder Mike gave him access with to use a script in which he could edit the skills AND hiddens of fighters - Which resulted in his and Wolf’s rosters being filled with ridiculously good fighters. So as a result Mike is having their current booked fights run with a couple of changes. All of the fighters on their rosters have been changed so their hiddens are now 1 across the board, meaning they are likely to get demolished with ease. As a result, their current booked opponents are in line for a nice hype gain. So now we have the facts out of the way, we come to the speculation when it comes to the situation which I will give my opinion on in each scenario. How long has it been going on? This question cannot be answered by anyone except for Aaron and Wolf right now. Mike himself doesn’t know and he said he will be talking to Aaron to ask about it in the future as Aaron is currently on holiday in Thailand. Was there anyone else involved in it? Now this is where the story gets very much opinionated. When looking at who could possibly be involved, you get one of two thoughts. Other Vendetta members, and admittedly, Myself. We’ll start with the Vendetta situation. The obvious people to look at would be Ryan Epicity and UniConor. Now, this may be personal opinion, but I couldn’t imagine Ryan being involved in something like this. He had a roster of really great guys well over a year ago, in fact nearly 2 years could be felt. I don’t think he would have been involved, although that could also be personal bias since I think Ryan is a stand up guy. Conor meanwhile released a statement, which you can READ HERE, he denies any involvement in the situation, while also stating that Wolf and Aaron have been kicked from Vendetta as a result of the situation. My personal view comes mainly from Mike’s statement where he said he believes no other alliance mates had any wrong doing so I feel Conor is in the clear for the situation. Now, we get to Myself. When I initially heard the news, I was shocked to be honest. I was on TeamSpeak with Bob Vendarra (Madbob) and John Hetfield (Beck) playing games when Bob said the thread was posted. Initially I thought he was trolling me, but when I logged on and saw it, I genuinely couldn’t believe it. Now, I understand people feel there is enough of a connection to warrant investigating. I am a previous Vendetta member (Left in January of this year) and I am involved in a website with both Wolf and Aaron. My personal view is that I have nothing to hide and I even asked Mike to check my fighters to see if anything was changed because I wasn’t sure if Wolf and Aaron would have only affected their own fighters or possibly had fun changing some other fighters in the game. I would be the first person asking questions if it was someone else in this position, so I understand some people having the question, but I will say now that I had 0 knowledge or involvement of the goings on. Obviously people can make up their own minds, but that is just my mini statement on the matter when it comes to myself. So what happens now with the fallout? Well first of all this leaves a sizeable dent in The Olympics. Wolf had 5 fighters competing and I have asked Mike if it would be possible to cancel the fights he is booked in, in order to allow the orgs to replace his fighters rather than taking essential auto losses. Hopefully that can be resolved and the orgs involved in the discussion so far have been nothing short of stellar. The Manager Of The Year debate just got blown wide open now with Mr Wolf having been the front runner for the accolade by the country mile. Other managers will now have to use the final month essentially to push themselves to the fore front of people’s minds when it comes to voting. Some of the guys I feel will be leading the charge are Bob Vendarra, Whymer Van Mastodon and Michael Knight. Of course, this comes from about 5 mins of looking at the current ranks and who I remember doing well over the year so not really an educated stab at it right now. And finally, Championships in different orgs just got a lot more interesting. Wolf and Aaron had numerous champions in different orgs and with their scripting were virtually unstoppable. Now their places are up for grabs with the chance to fill them open to anybody in the fortunate position to try to. It will be interesting over the coming months to see who emerges from the shadows, and in regards to the manager ranks, who becomes the new dominant force at the top of the game. Closing Statement So my personal view on it after the shock faded was annoyance really. I will say I get on great with both guys, and it is highly disappointing to me that they would do this kind of thing in the game. The major comparison this draws is to the Mentor scandal from Summer 2014. Personal viewpoint - This is worse than that. Mentor’s cheating resulted in some extra profits and he got to hold an extra company while filling fights in his org. This incident resulted in a manager holding the #1 spot in the rankings for virtually an entire year nearly, preventing other managers from hitting the accolade while also gaining unfair wins throughout the year over managers who could have been playing fairly (It’s MMA Tycoon, we can’t say for sure everyone was playing fair). He was gaining huge signing bonuses due to his fighters being at the top, won a tournament, held numerous titles, and most annoyingly of all, he kept this facade going while looking modest on the forums about the achievements. Now, Wolf is a decent guy still in my opinion, but this definitely showed the darker side to him. As for Aaron, he came up with the script and while he didn’t hold the #1 spot at any point (mainly due to Wolf holding it all year), he prevented others from hitting the higher ranks with a combination of holding the #2 spot and gaining unfair wins which would actually have lost other managers their rank. Now, I imagine neither guy thought of these consequences, or they did and didn’t give a shit, but either way it was a highly selfish act which they would have continued to get away with until they either got caught at another time or until they got bored and decided to tell people. Wolf was a member of the editorial team for TWW News and that’s another reason I am disappointed. I will continue this on, possibly with others helping if people are willing, but I will do it solo if need be. In closing, this is possibly the worst scandal in MMA Tycoon history, depending on your viewpoint of the incidents. While it caused a lot of liveliness in the forums, it was a sad reason for the forums to burst into life. You can see the reactions of Chris Karter (CLICK HERE) and MMA Hype (CLICK HERE) also on the forums. For now from us at TWW News on this weird Friday night, good night.
  2. TWW News Hi guys Tim here with another edition of TWW news. This week in the Tycoon World we have a huge story regarding Scott Davies. We also go to the debate desk with Stephen BS and Skip Clueless as they discuss the legacy of Otso Jokinen. We have the risers and fallers in the tycoon world and also the rising stars section so lets get to the new exlusive breaking news we have first. IS SCOTT DAVIES A SHADY GUY? We at TWW news were shocked to the core with this scandal that has recently came about. Cage Wars Hilo owner Cliff Biff recently went on holiday and left his account to Scott. Cliff thought Scott being a long time friend of his was trustworthy enough to look after his org and make sure it runs smoothly during his time away. Little did he know that Scott would stab him in the back. When Cliff came back he noticed that fighters in his org had gone missing including a few of Scotts. He read through his messages that had been sent out about this. He noticed Scott had mailed his top fighters telling them that Cliff had quit and that they should join Ascension. This comes at a time where Ascension is struggling for fighters. We at TWW news have noticed over the past few months that they have booked more arenas than they can fill. This was blamed on CEO Luan who promised to get these cards filled and that everything would be ok. This as we have found out is not the case with some Ascension cards having less than 10 fights on the card. So we have the motive for doing this now. Ascension is struggling to sign new talent. Now with the recent news that they could be merging with UPG? This news station feels it has to give people the story. Cliff Biff also spilled the beans on Scott Davies selling 8mil in game cash to Steel Penn for the sum of 100 bucks. As much as this is not illegal but is frowned apon in the Tycoon Community selling game cash for real cash and not VIP. It has also cost Cliff vast sums of money to rebuild the org. So please if you have spare fighters spare a thought for Cliff and the struggles he is going through to rebuild his org. So how do you feel about what has happened here? Has this shocked you as much as it has us at TWW News? Vote and leave your comments below. OTSO JOKINEN BETTER THAN TONAL? Skip Clueless - Ok lets face a few facts here first. Tonal was a legend. A great fighter who was loved by many. His record speaks for itself. 49 and 7. Still fighting at the top level at Evo. Taking superfights now and beating everyone they are to beat. Tonal only managed 35-8. Otso is clearly now ahead of Tonal in the GOAT rankings. He had a 19-0 run. Best Tonal ever had was 16-0. I think its fairly cut and dry. Otso is the GOAT of Tycoon. Not just the GOAT lightweight. Stephen BS - Oh dear lord this is blasphemy. I cannot believe the words that are coming out of your mouth. Otso better than Tonal what the hell you smoking Skip? Otso cannot hold a candle to Tonal. Look at the guys he fought in NFC. Not exactly the top lightweights out there at the time. He ducked my boy Christian Slaughter. Tonal fought the best of the best period. Otso not so much. Skip Clueless - So wait a minute Stephen you are saying that everyone he fought was cans? Otso ducked Slaughter it was more like Slaughter wouldn't fight in the NFC. If Slaughter really wanted that fight he would have went to the NFC. Thing is though he didn't. He never wanted that fight. We all know that and no one blames Jbomb for not. Tonal did fight some of the best i have to agree but he went out on losses. Back to back losses if i am not mistaken. He also lost to a guy named William King who need i forget to tell you lost 4 fights in a row after beating him. Tonal is no doubt a legend but Otso has surpassed him now. Pass over the torch Mr Tonal. Stephen BS - You opened this can of worms Skip. Lets not forget Otso lost to some guys who shall we say aren't top dogs. Lets not forget he lost to guys such as Danny Power and Gomi. Both guys are reasonable fighters but should never have beaten anyone at the top. Otso yeah he has hammered more recently top of the tree fighters but his record is padded by so many mid tier fighters its unreal. He is a legend and no doubt the best Lightweight the game has ever seen but to go as far as saying he is better than Tonal? I think you have lost your mind again Skip. FIGHTERS STOCK EXCHANGE Michael Patton - Opa now has the two top LW's in the game. Patton has been in the shadow of Otso in his career but has now made a stake to try and become the #1 Lightweight. The former 135 and 145 pounder could move down a division or up a division to try and claim the top spot since a fight with Otso is out the window. For now though he is the gate keeper in Evo to get a shot at Otso. Samor Kanen - Another top LHW from the Karter camp. Who recently enjoyed a win against the GAMMA LHW Champion. Its a long standing tradition for Convicted guys to beatdown GAMMA champions and this is another case of this. Kanen is a champion in his own right at Vendetta. The knock out artist next opponent is yet to be announced but no doubt will be against another top 10 LHW. Kostas Charalabous - Not exactly changed his stock but its worth noting this top 10 fighter. With a record of 23-3 with 20 knock outs he is not to be taken lightly. Now in the prime of his career he is kicking ass and taking names. With a very impressive knock out of Dante it appears Kostas could take it to another level. He still have a few years left in the tank and he is one we will be watching closely for next year. Instead of fighters on the decline we have decided to show fights to look forward to in the next week. Daniel Speed vs Smokudju Womba Two of the top LHW's go toe to toe as we see Speed take on Womba. Speed has been highly regarded by many of the pundits and fighters a like as the next big thing in the LHW division. After losing his first fight in Evo to Ryo Narushima, Speed looks to beat the man who beat the man by defeating Womba. Womba who recently got his red belt from the ganja smokers of Algeria will be hoping its another day at the office. Score the takedown, get the guy in his guard and throw up submissions at the rate of knots. The winner of this fight secures the #1 spot at LHW. Maybe a future fight with Ascension LHW champion al Din awaits? For Speed it looks like he will be entering the 5mil tourney. Taj al Din vs AJ Hearts All the LHW's are on show this week. This is a case of the #2 and #3 LHW squaring off. Its a classic striker vs grappler match up with both guys having great chins but it is Taj with the KO power. It is also Taj out looking to avenge his falling team mate Moses Diggs. It will be a battle of where it takes place. Many feel as though that al Din will be able to break Hearts jaw. The fight takes place in SPFT on the 19th. It is one to have spoilered and sit back and enjoy the action. The Rising Stars This week we are gonna take a look at the top 3 up and comers from the ITFL 2. James Burke - The Middleweight/Welterweight is a perfect 4-0 in the ITFL this year. Not the most highly skilled fighter for his age but makes up for it with slick submissions and some great gameplanning. It also helps when you are blessed by the Gods and have a chin made of granite. Has not really shown much power this far of his career but when you can dominate like him then why else would you need to do anything else? Colin Croft - A light heavyweight by trade and a perfect build. With the skills, chin and power he looks like a real force in the ITFL. Now 6-0 in his career could go undefeated in the ITFL. So far he has yet to really face a test in the ITFL apart from Zell Griever the only man he has not finished in his career. As the tourney continues he will face tougher opponents but at the moment he looks like the man to beat. Tigran Badoyan - The biggest man in our power 3. The heavy handed brawler is a perfect 4-0 also in the ITFL and 8-1 in his career so far making him the most accomplished fighter out of all of our guys here tonight. Tigran will be a force because of his weight and power could crack some of these smaller granite chinned fighters which will be interesting to see if he can do that. The ITFL will be showcasing some of the top young fighters out there but tonight we only have time for 3. We also have to put out tonight that the Gale Hawthorne investigators have came up trumps. Sadly we cannot report on this as it is a lot bigger than we originally thought. We thought he was just CBD'in it. Turns out it could be a lot worse.
