I'm going to (attempt to) log my experience in XCOM: Enemy Within. Mission by mission, decision by decision, I'll do what I can to keep it short and to the point, but update most important details but add the occasional comical twist or dialogue. This will continuously be edited over the course of the next few weeks that I play the game, and this post will be edited til I can get an easy and comfortable format to use, so expect to see me experimenting with some things and changing the way shit is set up. decided to do the tutorial, so got stuck with choosing North America or Europe as base location Things won't make sense and be misplaced at first. Unexplained events at impact site. German FSLK200 LRRP reported MIA. MISSION OBJECTIVES: - Assess situation at impact site - Locate German recon team - Investigate extraterrestrial objects FIRST CONTACT: Impact Situation critical. Heavy casualties. After landing in the DZ we discovered the German Recon team's bodies, dismembered and torn to pieces. Delta Team infiltrated a nearby warehouse and discovered an armed human subject. Dr. Vahlen from Central tried communicating with subject but he was incoherent, appeared to be in shock. Failed to establish communication with subject and central officer Bradford ordered Delta Team to move in and disarm target. Delta 3 moved in capturing a visual of the target. Target was human - German Recon uniform - pale with electric blue pupils, incoherent, unresponsive, and shot and killed Delta 3 before team could react. Delta Team was ambushed and Delta 2 was killed instantly. Delta 1 and Delta 4 killed the targets. Remaining Delta Team was ambushed by a second wave of enemies and Delta 4 was killed in the firefight. Delta 1 shot and killed the attackers and identified the enemies as humanoid sectoids. This is our first contact with the alien invaders. Alien technology clearly more advanced. A response team was sent to the site and all available material and bodies were recovered. Only one survivor from Delta Team made it back from Operation Devil's Moon alive. Delta 1 recruit Eduardo Garza from Argentina promoted and awarded the medal of valor. Abductions are continuing, but eyewitnesses at this siute claim the aliens were releasing an unknown substance into the local environment. Disrupt the alien activity, and retrieve this substance if possible.
