  1. Hi guys; today I will looking at somewhat of a super fight in the fast rising 280K ID org Just Bleed. The org is based in Los Angeles and is run by Jake Bremner; who is doing an excellent job, Just Bleed is now ranked 25th in the world. This fight will be between Alejandro Scott (283355) and Texas Pete (260356); it is seen as a pivotal moment in the organisation. Make sure you all tune in as it's an extremely interesting fight, between two guys with very interesting stories. When is it? Christmas Eve (24th December) Where is it? Los Angeles The event name? Just Bleed 17 Where can you find it? Here: http://www.mmatycoon.com/eventcommentary.php?EvtID=876187 Background: This highly anticipated match up will be pitting the old guard vs the young lion; or the old lion vs the young dinosaur? (Maybe Vitor Belfort can help me out with that one). http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14366146262833.png Alejandro Scott Record: 5-2 Wins: 1 TKO/KOs 4 Submissions 0 Decisions Losses: 1 TKO/KOs 1 Submission 0 Decisions Accomplishments: TWGC 11 Division 3 Finalist (265+ lbs) MMA Tycoon's 1st ever The Ultimate Fighter winner The young lion in question; is the winner of the Light Heavyweight TUF tournament; “The Jobless Surfer” Alejandro Scott, I’m guessing he now has a job. The guy may only be 20 years of age; but he started fighting at 16 under manager in exile Moyses Mattos, where he went 1-2, so he has now been plying his craft for a long time. He has now turned into a lean mean submission machine under Tycoon celebrity and long standing member of Vendetta; The C Bomb. He is 4-0 since his change in management, and has seen very little adversity in this time; excluding the TUF finale, where Michael Brophy frustrated him with some decent striking in the first round, before Scott’s clinical submission game took over. He does have a boxing background; something often overlooked recently due to his ability to excel on the mat. He competed at Super Heavyweight in TWGC at one time; where he managed to out-grapple 4 considerably larger opponents, before losing a decision in the final of the competition. Alejandro Scott was dominant in his first fight at Just Bleed; dismantling the considerably smaller Adlet Mayer with his grappling skills. Therefore he is riding an incredible wave on momentum; can he continue it against undoubtedly his most difficult opponent yet? http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/28/28w13.jpg Texas Pete Record: 25-3 Wins: 22 TKO/KOs 0 Submissions 3 Decisions Losses: 3 TKO/KOs 0 Submissions 0 Decisions Accomplishments: Former La Grande Promotions Light Heavyweight Champion (4 Defenses) Former Highland Games Light Heavyweight Champion (4 Defenses) Undefeated in his first 12 MMA fights The older man; who is really getting on in years (In MMA terms) is the 34 year old Texas Pete. Pete is a 17 fight veteran of reputable organisation The Highland Games. He was the HG Light Heavyweight Champion for 4 successful title defences, flooring everyone in his path, until the now champion Jake Theodorou stopped him in his tracks. Texas Pete has been fighting 10 years but his fighting style has almost always been the same; excellent striking diversity, deadly punches and kicks. His striking defence has got better over time undoubtedly, along with his ability to defend the takedown; which was really highlighted in his Highland Games 205 fight with Ludko Struja. Whilst Pete was taken down by Struja; he was able to thwart all but 3 out of 24 total attempts, sapping Struja’s energy, and allowing Pete to tee off on the feet, taking a close unanimous decision win. He also showed that even though his preference is to fight at kickboxing distance, he has some serious strikes in clinch if his opponent wishes to take it there. He teed off with some big punches to the body and head, going a long way to stopping opponents being happy to clinch up with him. It is arguable he is still improving even at this late age, as he did begin his MMA career later than most. Texas Pete has now been looking for a new home since the dormancy of The Highland Games, and has decided to settle on Just Bleed for the moment, which gives us the opportunity to breakdown this incredibly interesting fight. Bleacher Report Style Head to Toe Breakdown Striking: A look at their records would suggest that Texas Pete has a large advantage in this department; however the records do not tell the entire story. Texas Pete has an excellent finishing instinct and can floor opponents with a variety of strikes. Nobody should be sleeping on the striking of Alejandro Scott though, especially his boxing. Boxing of course was his original background when he entered the MMA Tycoon world aged 16. It was said that Scott could choose either professional boxing or MMA, and he chose MMA. He does not have the pure power of Pete, however of his most recent 4 fight winning streak, only Michael Brophy who was 8-0 at the time has actually out-struck Scott. This proves that his ability in boxing is still very much present and will be there for him if he needs it during this fight. The difference maker for me here is that Scott’s striking is more a means to an end, a distraction which allows him to get the fight to the ground. On the other hand Texas Pete is always trying to take his opponents head off and more often than not he succeeds. Texas Pete’s striking is his go to move; the main way he wins fights, and he wins a lot of fights. For that reason, I give him a slight advantage. Advantage: Texas Pete Wrestling: This is an interesting category as it is not where either guy excels; however it is likely to be the key to the fight. Alejandro Scott has a decent clinch game, he digs underhooks well, in order to pull opponents into his guard on the mat. However; he has never shown much of a takedown game, all of his submissions have come from exchanges where he has pulled guard, swept his opponent then found the submission from the top. He does not typically shoot for takedowns, and it is debatable for how long his ground game can be successful if this continues to be the case. Texas Pete is a good wrestler in his own right. He does not use it offensively; but he does have some extremely effective takedown defence. This will be a five round fight; and the last time Pete went the full five rounds, he used excellent takedown defence and stuffed over 90% of the 24 attempts on him in this period. He is very hard to take down; and he will need to use the skills he has in this area to the maximum in order to get his hand raised in the fight. Pete also defends well from the clinch, as well as being able to land his own strikes from there, which could create problems for his opponent pulling guard. Scott has done perfectly ok pulling guard so far; so he has not been exposed as a bad wrestler, without being an outstanding one. Texas Pete has shown excellent defensive ability, but no wrestling offense whatsoever, which leads me to say this category is just about even. However we should all be prepared for surprises, because no-one really knows what will happen regarding wrestling here. Advantage: Even Ground Game/Submissions: This is quite comfortably the most lopsided area of the fight. Alejandro Scott is a black belt who is dominant on the ground every single time he fights. He has really made a transition from a decent boxer, to an awesome jiu jitsu practitioner. He has deadly submissions; and Texas Pete will be looking to avoid the ground game as much as humanly possible a la Ed Gennero, in order to win the fight. As previously mentioned; Scott has submitted his last 4 opponents, and will be looking to make it 5; a submission is his most plausible root to victory by a considerable distance in this fight. Texas Pete has a serviceable defensive ground game; he has never been submitted. However; many of his fights have not been to the ground due to his striking and takedown defence. It would also be worth mentioning that 2 of Texas Pete’s 3 losses were due to being taken down and dominated on the ground. All of these factors combined justify a large edge for Alejandro Scott. Advantage: Alejandro Scott Keys To Victory - Alejandro Scott: Mix up his strikes: Scott’s game plan will be to get the fight to the ground; but he will need to make Texas Pete think about his boxing in order to surprise the bigger; older stronger man with takedowns. He must avoid becoming predictable as the fight goes on. Use variety with Takedowns: Scott’s plan in his recent fights has been to establish the clinch and to pull guard in order to take his opponents to the ground. He has never faced an opponent with the clinch game and physicality of Pete, so he must be prepared to try different methods, such as a double leg from the outside; if his original approach does not work or else the situation could get sticky for him very fast. Aggression: This is not to say he should go gung ho looking for the finish; but if he can entice Texas Pete into getting into a wild brawl; Scott may be able to use the chaos in order to initiate a scramble and catch Pete in a submission. Keys To Victory – Texas Pete: Control the Distance: Athleticism and experience should be on Pete’s side here; he needs to establish a distance where he can throw his punches and kicks early, not allowing Scott to tie up with him; and making him pay when he tries to. Attack the Body: Texas Pete must fight the long game here; he will need to dictate the pace of the fight. If he can attack Alejandro Scott’s body early; this will sap the energy from his opponent, and will make it harder for Scott to get him to the mat as the fight transpires. Patience: Texas Pete has a significant power advantage; and he should try to use it to finish this fight; however he cannot over commit, or it will give Scott more opportunity to take him down and initiate ground exchanges. Texas Pete will be best off controlling this fight from the outside; not fighting at a frantic pace, but gradually turning up the pressure as the fight wears on. Preview and Prediction: This fight is a seriously tough one to call for a few reasons; Alejandro Scott has fought lesser opposition who were much closer to his own age, he beat all of them, but it is hard to gauge what level he is really at with his all around MMA game. The result really hinges on whether Scott can take his opponent down. Texas Pete has been beaten on the ground twice before; but neither of those defeats ended in submission and they were both at the hands of Jake Theodorou, who is a much superior wrestler to Alejandro Scott. In striking; it is a relatively even fight; it is likely to be a boxing match on the feet; however Texas Pete will be able to mix in his kicks as well. Scott will be trying to initiate a clinch or a takedown in order to utilise his extremely prolific jiu jitsu game. I believe at first he will have a problem with this; Pete will pepper him in the clinch and will not be taken down. Pete is bigger and stronger after all; meaning he will not be bullied in the clinch. However the fight is likely to be quite gruelling which means by the middle of the 3rd round, both guys will start to tire out a lot. I believe Scott’s persistence will eventually shine through; he will find a way to get the fight to the ground and impose his dominant grappling game. I think he eventually gets the tap in the 4th round after an epic fight. Prediction: Alejandro Scott via Submission (Round 4)

  4. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1434337141Ascension330.png July 5th 2015 Live from Los Angeles LA Memorial Colossuseum Ladies and Gentlemen, please allow me to welcome you to Ascension 330, taking place live from the LA Memorial Colossuseum where we expect a raucus 93,607 fans to be in attendance. Ascension hopes this event returns them to the #1 rankeing and continues with the great success that has kept them close to the pinacleof all Fight companies as we see some top end talent square off. With all that being said lets get right to the action. In our Main Event of Ascension 330 we see a Superfight between current Ascension Welterweight Champ Shinichi Onizuka taking on current GAMMA Champ Renan St Juste. That epic battle will be following what very well could be a fight to determine the next challenger for the Ascension Light Heavyweight Title Leonidas Katsaros versus Barry Allen. These 2 great epic fights will put the cap on the evenings matchups as we have an action packed lineup from top to bottom. Here is a quick run down of what we have in store for you this evening on our main card. Main Event - 170 lbs Onizuka vs St Juste Onizuka comes into tonights Main Event having won 8 of his past 9 matchups and in recent times has not defended his Ascension Welterweight title for lack of current challengers. Ascension owner Scott Davies was recently quoted as stating "I know it may be bad for business agreeing to work with GAMMA however much like the situation we are in with Onizuka, the same applies when it comes to St Juste" Consider this more a case of agreeing to work with the fighter and manager then anything else as the original contact in regarss to this fight was made by St Juste manager Gale Hawthorne. This fight features the classic Striker vs Grappler as Onizuka has shown the ability to win the fight no matter where it takes place, but relying more heavily on his grounds skills as his 12 submission victories show, even though he does not appear to possess a great deal of KO power dont bank on that as he has shown earlier in his career a flare for the fireworks finish however in recent times he has relied very heavily on grinding out victories which is shown during 5 of his past 6 matchups going to the judges decision. On the other side of the cage you see a fighter who also likes to rely on the judges as 6 of his last 9 fights have seen that outcome however we dont believe that is his sole gameplan as he possess killer KO power finishing 28 of his career 47 fights in this fashion. Much like Onizuka during recent times he has been more of a travelling wilbury jumping around from Team Thomas Fight Club, GAMMA and Aggressive Damage in his quest to fight the best that they have offered, but this time St Juste is taking a step up in competition inside the Acsension cage and taking on the Tycoon Communities #2 ranked Welterweight and very decorated Champion. Tonights much talked about Main Event throw down will certainly showcase a great matchup that could provide us with a Fight Of The Night classic or could we see a highlight reel KO victory for St Juste proving the ciritcs wrong for saying he has been coddled and protected in the GAMMA circle of friends. Our book says this one goes the distance but it is too damn close to call out a victor! Co-Main Event - 205 lbs Katsaros vs Allen This fight breaks down as a battle where Leonidas Katsaros holds a very distinctive edge in Muay Thai & Wrestling to go along with his devestating KO Power. Staring him down on the other side of the cage sees Barry Allen facing an uphill battle, but this will not stop him and his attempts. This is an extremly important and potentially rewarding fight for Katsaros as sources have confirmed a victory will see him challenge for the Ascension Light Heavy Weight title, where as a defeat will see him shuffle along looking for a new place to call home. Having won 7 of his past 10 fights Katsaros already holds a previous victory over Barry Allen, one which I am certain Allen is very keen to avenge. Having won 29 of his 33 victories by way of T(KO) Leonidas will look to continue this path of destruction and aim right for the suspect chin of Barry Allen. On the other side of the coin Allen has won 6 of his past 10, experiencing more of a roller coaster ride enjoying the highs of victory but also the lows of defeat. Allen prefers to mix things up enjoying only 10 T(KO) victories and seeing over 50 percent of his wins go to the judges. Our thinking on this one is in order for Allen to succeed he will once again need to work his magic and grind out a decision victory, a course of action which will not be easy. Katsaros will need to utilize his kicks to perfection to set up his powerful striking meanwhile the 89% takedown percentage Allen has enjoyed over his career will come in more handy then ever in an attempt to avoid seeing his lights go out. Another big fight to call here but our thinking is KO halfway through round 2 for Katsaros. Leonidas is an Of The Night machine and he continues that trend on this night. 265 lbs Duberry vs Harkimo Next up we see a battle that will certainly be decided on the feet. Fidel Duberry continues his return to action following his year and a half absence winning his 2 fights since making his comeback. Facing off against Duberry is Ascension veteran Keijo Harkimo. Once again we are expecting some lightning loud fireworks as both men prefer to rely on their KO Power to earn victory as both men have seen over 75% of their victories won by T(KO). After losing 5 of 6 fights prior to disappearing from the MMA scene Duberry returned to win a Decision victory and then followed that up with a first round TKO victory less then 10 days ago. Looks to us over here that he is looking to make up for the downtime by hitting the fight scene hard and often. Opposite Duberry isd Keijo Harkimo has recently hit a rough patch himself enjoying only 2 victories over his last 5 fights, and Harkimo has shown he does not like the judges, its either kill or be killed as his last 14 fights will attest, not seeing a judges decision since defeating Buddy Guy all the way back in August of 2014. Duberry holds a decisive advantage in Primary skills as he enjoys Elite Skills to match Harkimo's Sensationals, but we have been around the block before and know that its whats on the inside more then what is shown on paper, and we believe Harkimos killer instinct will prevail in this one, suddenly and violently he will put a halt to the return of Duberry crushing him with a 1st round KO. 205 lbs Camacho vs Hong Fight #4 of our Main Card sees two warriors looking to continue their winning ways and avoiding a crushing Loss. Miguel Camacho looks to shows that his last 2 dominating victories are more of a resemblence of his abilities and not the 5 fight winless streak he enjoyed prior. Meanwhile Tonton Hong looks to string more then one victory in succession as he just has not been able to string more then one win in a row since he last defeated his opponent facing off against him tonight. Camacho is a KO machine more then most we see these days enjoying victories by way of T(KO) on over 91% of his 24 victories however what could pose as an obstacle for him is the 8 losses by way of T(KO) which is the only way he has ever tasted defeat. Once again in the opposite corner Hong has an 83% T(KO) victory rate while seeing 83% of his fights end with him staring up at the lights. Our thinking in this one is he will want to get the fight to the floor and work Camacho over, wear him down then when the oportunity presents itself go for the kill and end this one like their first meeting. Camacho will want to use his striking advantage and at all costs keep the fight standing and wear down Hong with a healthy mix of kicks and punches before going for the kill shot!! This one has all the signs of contending with Katsaros for KO of the Night honors and our thinking here is Hong stops Camacho early in round 3. 265 lbs Schultz vs Hernandez Our final matchup from the Main card of Ascension 330 sees, yes you guessed it, a pair of big men who rely on turning the lights off using their fists. Dr Schultz looks to put a second consecutive W together for the first time since winning 3 consecutive fights to start of the 2015 year. Meanwhile Sergio Hernandez has not lost in his past 4 fights under new management, the only blemish being a Draw with Sayer Hume back in May. Schultz will look to the action take place standing having never attempted a takedown in his career preferring to use his leg and body kicks to set up for the knock out punch however seeing his opponents succeed 31% of the time with their takedowns could prove to be his downfall as Hernandez will surely take full advantage of getting the fight to the ground where he will impose his will on Schultz. Hernandez having an 84% success rate in the T(KO) means of finishing his opponents will look to continue in that fashion he prefers a flare for the dramatics, and tonight he will not disappoint. Schultz is in for a painful evening as Hernandez ends this one with fireworks late in round 2 Well folks thats all the time we have for the main card, but here is a quick listing of our other fights on this action packed event during the preliminary action. 135 lbs Stem Cell v Umberto Sotto Jr Stem Cell By Way of TKO Strikes 145 lbs Mac Jackson v Colt McLaren Mac Jackson By Way of Judges Decision 170 lbs Pablo Alvado v Kabuto Wakizashi Wakizashi By Way of Judges Decision 265 lbs Sawyer Hume v William Shimazu Sawyer Hume by way of KO Punch 155 lbs Maxim Vyacheslav v Yin Tao Yin Tao by way of judges decision Thank you for your time, we hope to see you next week!
  5. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/1348615721oompa.jpg Vs We don't have a photo of this bum p4p 15 - 19-3-0 (6 via KO, 6 via Sub) p4p 23 - 34-16-2 (12 via KO, 10 via sub) The new king of the featherweights, everyone favourite orange guy, the one and only Little Man Oompa Loompa will be travelling to London for a Superfight against the 2nd ranked featherweight Kauko Partio. We did see through the week that Loompa wanted Otso, he along with Stu Pidasol's camp started an online campaign to get the fight happening with the #Otsoisabitch. To add an extra layer we saw the emergence of a love triangle with Richard Dawkins and Loompa having a war of words via twitter. So here we are 2 days out from a fight, we don't have Loompa vs Otso and we don't have Loompa Vs Dawkins, we have Loompa Vs Partio and you, much like me are asking who the fuck is Partio. Well after a quick glance he fell on his arse at the number 2 ranking with a win against Clint Lomax. Prior to that he had done fuck all. Do you have any thoughts on the fight Loompa? Loompa: Well this fight does nothing for me, this guy's a bum, I thought I had finished fighting bums when I moved to Evo but Mega Jug said I need to fight him, so fight him I will. At least I get the chance to knock his pathetic arse back down the rankings where he belongs. That's a serious lack of respect for a guy that has all the tools to beat you Loompa, he has beaten Lomax last fight who is rated as one of the best ever at this weight division. Loompa: Yeah and? He's spent his whole career hiding at Cage Wars, he's lost to both Power and Randolph the 2 guys I have just beaten. Lomax is a bum and so is this Partyo, Partio or whatever the fuck the stupid c-unts name is. Are you in a bad mood today Loompa? I haven't seen you this angry during an interview before? Loompa: Yeah maybe I am, probably coming down, partied all night with the lads and this new kid Stu has been training Jordan "The Wolf" Belfort, the kid's a fucking lunatic more money than sense but fuck it was one hell of a wild party. Oh, I see I will leave you too it..
  6. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/1348615721oompa.jpg Oompa Loompa (16-3, 6 via KO, 6 via Sub) p4p 133 The pint sized destroyer Oompa Loompa has had an impressive start to his MMA career, he is now entering his prime and it's time for a real challenge. He has cleaned out both the 145lb and then 135lb divisions at Invictus. He's another of the Stu Pidasol camp that is sitting on the edge of greatness. Reporter: Loompa you've called this press conference today in the hopes of finding someone that can give you a challenge. Loompa: That's right, I see these feather and bantam weights running round talking big games doing big things, Jokinen, Bunn, Silva, Power, Lomax, Kuzuri the list goes on.. Problem with these bums are they talk a lot, they fight but they haven't got shit on me. I would put each and everyone of them out of their misery. There's one fighter in these lighter weights that should be sitting at the top of the rankings and that's none other than my good self. Reporter: You're talking about some of the biggest names in the MMA fight game when we look through your record you have beaten bums and even lost to some bums, what makes you think you can take down these legends. Loompa: You have to start somewhere and I started right down the bottom of the barrel and sure I have lost to some bums but you got to remember even the sun shines on a dogs arse. Del Norte thought he was it and a bit after I got sloppy on the mat against him - 2 fights later and I turned his lights out. Calirante got himself a home judges victory against me after I clearly beat him, what has he done since.. Nothing... He has hid himself in a gym because he knew he didn't have what it takes in the MMA game.. We should't expect any different his manager is a pom. They are known for being defeatists - just look at their broken and battered cricket side. Reporter: It's pretty safe to say that none of those names you mentioned will take up the offer - so why call them out? Loompa: Yeah I know they won't take the bait - problem from them is it's only a matter of time before they won't have a choice in the matter. I say they should get their beating nice and early so they can lick their wounds and find something other than fighting to earn their dollars. Fact of the matter are over the next 6-12 months I will destroy each and everyone of them.. I will hunt them down, one by one. Reporter: That's some big goals you have set yourself for 2014 - it's going to take a lot of understanding org owners to make it happen? Loompa: One would hope that the org owners aren't blood sucking, money hungry parasites but for those that are I will do these superfights for $1. I don't need money, what am I going to do with it, buy another 500 pairs of shirts and shorts that I'm never going to wear? Reporter: You'd fight for free? Loompa: Of course I will, it's not money I want, it's the fame, it's being the No.1 fighter in the world, it's about being 2014 Fighter of the year, it's about being the greatest star to grace the MMA cage. If that means I don't get paid I don't give a shit. Reporter: Any final words Loompa? Loompa: I have 1 fight left on my Invictus contract and hold both 135 and 145 belts there - Gary has been a great org owner and I have the up most respect for him, I have really enjoyed my time there and he deserves one more pay packet from me. Stu fucked up badly during the time zone changes and caused 3 NC's 2 of which were for titles. I have no doubt Gary wanted to punch Stu square in the face for what he did, hell Stu probably wanted to punch himself in the face for it. I hate leaving orgs while being the title holder but all good things must come to an end. I want a top 100 p4p fighter to come to Invictus whether that be at 145 or 135, I don't care about age, you just need to be a worthy opponent. 1 final fight before 2013 ends so I can start my domination of the lighter weights in 2014... Time to put up or shut up.... You know where to find me.....
  7. In the last month you have seen him in "Super Heavyweight to test his chin" he came, he saw and he destroyed Harold Howard. You've seen him in "Fighting for the last twinkie" where he bleed Declan Sweeney like a stuck pig on his way to munching down the Syn Twinkie that was on offer. And now the man mountain is set to enter the CCF cage once again on the 17/11/13 to "Fight for the Donut" http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/1/1w10.jpg VS http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/11/11b3.jpg p4p 37 John Bunting (18-2 with 14 via KO) p4p 17 Neo Kable (18-0 with 18 via KO) Bunting has been searching for this fight for quite some time and finally he has got his man. We first heard rumours of this possile superfight between these two in TWW News Part 3 back on Oct 12. Two stars of the fight game, two fighters looking to show the figt world who really is the top dog of the SHW division. Bunting's form of late has been devstating but it pales into insignificance against the record of Kable who is undefeated in 18 fights including 6 of which have been in the highly talented cage of Evo. Only 3 times in his entire career has Kable let his opponent make it past the first round. His power is arguably the greatest in the fight game at the moment. A while Kable has his power to rely on Bunting in his 20 fight career has never had a fighter that has rocked or knocked him down - his chin has stood up against every heavy hitter that has been thrown against him.. Once again he will be relying on his chin to weather the Kable storm... Fight fans have seen for quite some time now have seen Stu Pidasol's utter distain for anything Convicted related which has added some extra spice to this match up if it actually needed it. We've seen plenty of managers and fighters hide from challenges but over the coming weeks we see Stu tackle Convicted and their fighters head on. Spead over 1 week we have the curtain raiser in a couple of days when Oath takes on Marciano in what is up there with the greatest grudge fights the fight game has seen. Then we have the intemission when the 7-2 Karvinoff from the Templeton camp who after going 3-0 with Syn has strangely left the premier org and come back to UPG Vegas to tackle Stu's "Bad" Boy Bubby (20-7-1) and then the the close with this mouth watering fight.. Has Stu poked a sleeping tiger, or is Stu the tiger stalking down his hapless prey... All will be revealed in little over a week... Stay tuned fght fans there is definitely more to come.........
  8. Fresh off his massive KO win against Harold Howard - The man moutain John Bunting has just signed a 1 fight contract at Synchronicity to take on fellow fattie Declan Sweeney taking place on the 25th of October. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/1/1w10.jpg Vs http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/38/38w14.jpg 3wc 58P4P - John Bunting 17-2 (13 via KO) 2wc 55P4P - Declan Sweeney 19-4 (18 via KO) Reporter: So John, you're fresh off a massive against the odds victory against Howard, no one gave you a punchers chance in that fight but you proved them wrong. What sort of chance do you think the fans will give you in this one? Bunting: Well we know that MMA fans aren't the sharpest tools in the shed - they are generally just tools. So I have no doubt they will be all over Sweeney to beat me and beat me easily. Reporter: And you think otherwise John? Bunting: Yeah I do. He is nothing more than a poor man's version of Howard. A 1 punch wonder, I've got the greatest chin in the sport, so Sweeney can do his best and it's not going to be good enough. Reporter: In your last press release you made some comments about wanting to fight a Convicted can crusher who's fighting at Evo, care to add to that? Bunting: Like always when a challange is put down Convicted duck for cover - they make a habit of talking a big game and a big fight but then at the last minute something happens, some other clause gets added and the fight falls through. Reporter: Who was the fighter you were after? Bunting: None other than Neo Kable, he's 15-0 so I can understand he was too scared to cop his first loss. I'm sure my time with him will come soon enough. Let's just hope he doesn't lose his next fight and maybe just maybe he will be man enough to come face me at CCF. Reporter: Tell me a bit about Stu? Bunting: Stu is a great manager - He had a lot of success early with his fighters but was also well aware that while he had that success his camp wasn't that strong so he sacked a bunch of fighters. The newer guys he is bringing up now will make a mark on the world stage. I'm happy that I will be one of those fighters. Reporter: Stu has a 1-2 record against Dirk - do you feel added pressure to level that up? Bunting: Dirk is a good manager, his fighters are solid without being spectacular. I can tell you right now that after this fight the record will be 2-2. I'm going to KO that pretender in Sweeney. Reporter: Any final words John? Bunting: You have 18 days Sweeney - 18 days before your worst nightmare appears before you in the cage, 18 days before you cop the beat down of your career. I'm going to leave you a battered and bloody mess on the floor of Syn's cage.
