  1. http://i.imgur.com/BawKd7t.png Edition #21 Good evening ladies and gentlemen and welcome to Edition #21 of TWW News. With nearly 2 months since our last edition, we have plenty of cover in recent events along with updating you all on the current affairs in the game. Org Round Up Evolution looked like it was going to be out of business on a permanent basis when they sold their roster to CEC which solidified their star power, despite a number of fighters signing elsewhere, but Mega Jug has made a return with the org, which has now installed a 288k ID restriction. People have speculated why this ID restriction would be in place rather than say 285k or 290k, and people have pointed out that Mega Jug’s unsigned fighters begin with 288k. While that isn’t proven to be the reasoning behind it, it will be interesting to see how Evolution progresses under the new direction. Synchronicity continues to be a powerhouse in the Org rankings, holding onto the #1 position for what seems to be a permanent basis now. They have an incredible 24% of the top 100 fighters, and over 70 fighters in the top 1000 P4P, along with 5 of the current top 10, with Pandahammer being in GAMMA for a superfight. GAMMA and CEC have both been slowly making improvements to their orgs, with GAMMA having 19 of the top 100 and CEC having 16 fighters in there. Both orgs are in close contention for the #2 spot in the power rankings this time, but will we see a switch in them this time? Aspire MMA continues to be one of the most exciting brands the game has to offer, with their recent announcement of their initial HOF class and their success at bursting into the PPV scene. They have 5 fighters in the top 100 P4P, and seem to have a lot of potential talent on their roster which should see that number rise further. Underground completed the merging of Ascension’s roster into their existing divisions and it has seen plenty of excitement rise among their fans. The question with the org is whether their roster needs to be running an additional event here and there, or whether they need to downsize with a roster of over 120 and what seems to be a cycle of 4 weeks for fights. Bushido remains the top Non-PPV org in the game and plans to eventually become a PPV org are surely in the pipeline for the Tokyo based promotion. I was recently hired to the org in an effort to help them build up the roster and improve their numbers, and I have to say that Rei has done a phenomenal job with the org in all aspects. With DFC’s inactivity, a number of their biggest fighters have already jumped over to Bushido, with 6 of their 7 champions making the move among others. Game Improvements Mike Tycoon made the announcement he was creating a player-run group that would be responsible for deciding on what changes the game would be making. To begin with, he was entrusting them to make aesthetical game changes, and so far there have been improvements to the KT side of the game with P4P trophies being added along with a HOF page. The Pre-Fight introduction has been updated to include the fighter’s current P4P and w/c rankings, something people have been calling to be included for a long time in order to see the rise of fighters throughout their careers. The next improvement to be implemented is a Belt Cabinet for fighters to show off their championship accomplishments throughout their careers, another update people have been looking forward to seeing added to the game. The update to follow that is TBD, but with an average of one update per week, and no real disruption or discord among the group so far, it’s looking like a very positive move forward for the game. Guide to Fighter Building This was something I was planning on doing sometime before the end of the year, but thankfully, someone else has done one and it contains pretty much everything I would have written, and even more. Big thanks to King Kendrick (Ovoxo) for making the guide which is a fantastic starting point for people looking to make projects. While he admits it is not the be all and end all of fighter builds, if you have no real idea of how to build top fighters, this is a good starting point before you start having your own ideas of what a top fighter can be. Link to the Fighter Guide can be found HERE Half Year Awards Although a bit late to be really considered “Half-Year Awards”, we’ll still be taking a look at some of the upcoming awards and who we think are the frontrunners so far, along with who we would pick to win if it had to be decided today! Manager of the Year TWW Nominations – Whymer Van Mastodon, Chris Karter, Grant Brophy, Bradley Burns Winner – Whymer Van Mastodon I was going to have more nominations, but there were way too many people I felt were close to each other when it came to the 5th spot. All 4 of those above have been #1 during the year, and their records are incredible, with it standing at Whymer - 97-41-5 (67.8% Win Rate), Chris Karter 150-45-5 (75% Win Rate), Grant Brophy 75-12-1 (85.2% Win Rate) and Bradley Burns 149-65-8 (67.1% Win Rate). While Chris Karter has had the best fighter this year in Kajun Puno, Whymer’s success and ability with fighters are different weight classes and sheer stature gives him the edge in my opinion so far. While I feel Burns lost his pace a lot in recent times, his success in the mid-season of the year gives him a place among the best of the year, while I don’t really know what to say for myself, but spending all year so far in the top 10 and slowly getting champions in multiple orgs gives me a case of being up for consideration also. There are a few names who, given a strong end of year, could end up in the voting also so this award is far from decided at this point. Org of the Year TWW Nominations – Synchronicity, CEC, GAMMA, Underground and Aspire MMA Winner – Aspire MMA Despite Syn being the highest ranked org, I personally have them tied for 2nd in my Org of the Year rankings with GAMMA. While GAMMA haven’t been the #1 ranked org, and while Syn has a better roster, GAMMA does provide more write ups than Syn which is a factor I look forward to in orgs. When I look at an org that is the complete package however, Aspire MMA ticks every box. While I could certainly be called biased, with my admiration for Aspire being abundantly clear and that I see them as a lot like my own former org, they bring everything you could want from an org to the table. Consistent write ups for the entire year since Adam Holland took charge, building up a fantastic roster, an owner that you can talk to about any detail of the org, pushing on to PPV level, cracking the top 4, etc. I could go on for days about what Aspire MMA have done this year, but I will simply say that what they have done from an immersive aspect of the game is far and beyond what any other org has brought. Best New Manager of the Year TWW Nominations – Adam Holland, Brian Behdiez, Tyson Mitchell, Cobb ., Danielle Bee Winner – Tyson Mitchell This was a pretty tough call between Tyson and Danielle, with both hitting the ground at a breakneck speed in terms of how they are picking up the game and learning from their mentors. Tyson has a winning rate of 80.4% while Danielle has a winning rate of 72.4%. Both of these Aussie rookies have top quality mentors in King Kendrick (Tyson) and Chris Karter (Danielle) who are both instilling their own person views on the game, and you can see from their starting builds on that. What makes Tyson standout is he is fighting significantly higher ranked managers than Danielle, with her last 20 being in the 700’s on average while Tyson’s is in the low 200’s. Add on top of that he has established the best clothing store in the game right now, and Tyson is the frontrunner for the Best New Manager of the Year. Alliance of the Year TWW Nominations – The Six Musketeers, Boyz 2 Champz, Convicted Inc Winner – The Six Musketeers Obviously with The Musketeers being my own alliance, this may come off as biased, but the competition is actually quite fierce this year. 3 alliances have won the Division 1 Pyramid, and they are the 3 nominated alliances. All of these alliances hold some of the best managers in the game today, and house many of the top fighters. The sole thing that I could separate them on really was how many Division 1 wins they had this year. Convicted picked it up twice, capturing the crown in January and July. Elite Punishment Inc won the division in June, changing their name to Boyz 2 Champz in the process, a moniker that was a huge hit with the MMA Tycoon faithful. The Six Musketeers have won the Division 1 title 4 times this year, with a run of wins in February, March, April and May during a period of fierce competition with Boyz 2 Champz, an alliance I once said could have snuck the title from The Musketeers at any point and they subsequently did. We have 4 more months of the year to go however, and The Musketeers and Boyz 2 Champz are engaged fiercely in competition for the Division this month once more. The remaining months could either see one alliance pull ahead of the pack, or perhaps a surprise contender emerge from the chasing pack. Fighter of the Year TWW Nominations – Lukasz Wolek, Kajun Puno, Karim Bashorov, Robbie Luatua Winner – Kajun Puno This year was pretty much the year of the Pinoy Savage. Undefeated so far in 2017, with his last loss coming on New Years Eve in a loss to Jordi Joestar. Aside from that sole loss, he has been near unstoppable at 265, which he moved up to in Mid 2015, and his record in the division stands at 21-1. He defeated a list of top contenders in 2017, with wins over Slade Traylor, Jean Paul Garcon, Bo Juggernaut and Monte Zuma, along with stopping the huge winning streak of Robbie Luatua and avenging his sole loss in the division to Jordi Joestar. Fight of the Year Divock Origi vs Menace Defoe I, Michael Murdock vs Buakaw Banchamek, Seifer Almasy vs Alexey Karasev I Winner – Divock Origi vs Menace Defoe I There have been some outstanding fights this year, with the three listed above just among the ones I have noticed for their ferocious back and forth battling. Origi vs Defoe I takes this on account of being the most high profile fight of the bunch, as both fighters looked at times to have taken the other out of it before they battled back into contention Power Rankings *Note, these are purely initial thoughts based on their recent results, combined with their opposition, average opp rank, and title holders in recent times* Managers – #1 – Whymer Van Mastodon ^2 #2 – Pablo Spezziale ^Unranked #3 – Chris Karter v2 #4 – David Brent ^Unranked #5 – Grant Brophy ^Unranked Fighters – #1 – Kajun Puno ^1 #2 – Viktor Tsoi ^Unranked #3 – Gerbert Bryant ^Unranked #4 – Kalervo Kaunismieli ^Unranked #5 – Felix Sturm ^Unranked Orgs – #1 – Synchronicity = #2 – GAMMA = #3 – Aspire MMA ^2 #4 – CEC v1 #5 – Underground = The TWW News Hall of Fame Class of July 2017 Yes it’s been a long time coming, and I was initial going to be doing a much bigger write up on this but time restraints of late mean I will only be able to announce names rather than do a write up for each inductee. 2. http://i.imgur.com/BawKd7t.png Episode 20 Good evening ladies and gentlemen and welcome to the long overdue latest episode of the TWW News. With this being the first episode in over 5 months, we have a lot of topics to cover. We’ll be taking a look at the current events in MMA Tycoon, the biggest conversation pieces over the past 5 months, and taking an in depth look into some of the fighters, managers and organisations in the game throughout the article before capping it off with the return of our Power Rankings. WHAT’S HAPPENED IN THE PAST 5 MONTHS? Alliance Changes Well first things first, the alliance settings in MMA Tycoon has taken a major turn in the past 6 months. The Six Musketeers have risen up by winning the division they are in every month since their founding back in November, as they claimed Division 2, 3, 4 at the first time of asking while also winning Division 1 since they reached the division in February. It looks impressive, but a lesser known change has pushed them to the limit almost every month. Louie DePalma and Aylib 2.0 were in tense negotiations with making the move from The Cage Cartel to The Musketeers. However, a swoop was done by Elite Punishment Inc to secure the services of both men who moved to the alliance, as it incorporated Erito Batsu into their name following it. They have also since moved to add Dale Mac, formerly of numerous alliances, to their numbers. Elite Punishment have been pushing hard for the Division title every month, and while they haven't managed to do it just yet since The Musketeers joined the division, you feel that they can claim it on any given month. Convicted Inc meanwhile have suffered a heavy blow in the past 6 months. “Clever” Hans Schmidt’s future is up in the air, as it was reported he was considering retirement but he has been in fine form lately which could see him take a retirement tour while his roster can still compete at a high level. Mihail Montana meanwhile has retired from the MMA management scene while Michael Knight’s recent inactivity is another worrying sign for the group. The Cage Cartel have fallen off the radar with the losses of Louie and Aylib, but prior to that they lost Shortfuse and The Antidote who both retired from MMA Management, leaving a hole in the group which led to the leaving of the aforementioned duo. The Corporation have suffered losses also in the form of War Pig and James Listerman who have left the game, in addition to Bob Vendarra who is taking a break, but could still bounce back to Division 1 given a good run by their remaining members. Return of the KO King Over the past few years, Chris Karter has talked a big game when it came to himself and Convicted. While he languished in the mid 100’s whilst doing so, his roster has emerged as of late as world beaters, in particular his Heavyweight champion, Kajun Puno, son of the legendary Fidel Puno. The result has seen him move up the rankings and he recently claimed the #1 manager rank for a brief spell. With his roster in a prime position however, expect him to be repeatedly telling you how much he pisses excellence now he is backing his words up once more. Syn Ownership Change One common belief many people feel about Synchronicity as an org, is that it is primarily an org that is by the people, and for the people. In its 9 year history of being open, I count 10 org owners from pure memory. Franky Sin, Avon Barksdale, Louie DePalma, ChuckW94 (granted, Louie was still with the org while Chuck was the owner), Dark Soul, Jeff Ramirez, Bjorn, Shortfuse, Dale Mac, and now once more, Louie DePalma took over the reins of the historical org. With 10 owners in 9 years, it’s an org that has stood the test of time. While it has had its highs and its lows, it begins the journey under a new, yet familiar, hand once more. Canadian Fighting Championships closes its doors One of the longest running orgs in MMA Tycoon history closed its doors for the final time as CFC came to an end. One of the first run orgs in the game, it had many incarnations, with the latest being a short lived ID org run. While you don’t like to see historical orgs come to a close, I feel in this instance it is for the best rather than see an org struggle to carry on and potentially damage its legacy. Grappling-Only org rules coming soon (apparently) Earlier this year, Steel Penn and Bjorn announced they were going to be working together to run a TWGC style org with Mike agreeing to implement the mechanics needed to run it ala KT style. As is the case with many plans however, they failed to come to fruition for a number of reasons, with Bjorn initially planning on leaving the game at some point due to rl issues while Steel Penn doesn’t exactly enjoy taking on the bulk of work himself. Mike is implementing the mechanics anyway, so we could see a couple of these types of orgs pop up and see how they operate. Ricky Rocker vs Helix Cabrera The world was treated to an exciting bout earlier this year as Ricky Rocker took on Helix Cabrera in a huge superfight. The world was stunned on the night however, with Rocker forcing Cabrera to tap out just 57 seconds into the fight. With that fight happening in Rocker’s weight class of 170lbs, they agreed to a rematch in Cabrera’s 155lbs. After just about edging 2 of the first 3 rounds of the fight, Rocker managed to pull it off again as he forced Cabrera to tap out early in the 4th round. Rocker was #1 P4P following the fight, and had already signaled his intentions to retire. Cabrera has gone 1-2 since that fight, failing to recapture the vacant title following Rocker’s retirement and hasn’t had a fight since April. He is due back into the cage on July 7th where he is taking on Jose Correa. Notable Manager’s Leave Over the past 6 months, a number of managers have left the MMA Tycoon community for various reasons. Agent Dee just decided to up and leave as he does on occasion. Rory Daly continues his trend of leaving and returning at various points. As previously mentioned, James Listerman and War Pig have also left while Bob Vendarra is taking a hiatus from the game, whether he will return remains to be seen. Shortfuse, The Antidote and Blunts Allday have gone MIA, with Antidote and Blunts’ fighters being released from their roster. Scott Davies has been gone since the turn of the new year pretty much, with JLP taking over Ascension from him. Ryan Epicity left the game due to his real life becoming increasingly busy. Mihail Montana, better known as Spix, has also left the game after a spell of flirting with a return to the game. We would like to wish all of those managers the best of luck going forward with their lives, and hope we see them back here again one day. Syn Supernova VII In a sign that the game is facing an uphill battle in terms of the activity and excitement of it, Syn held their annual Supernova event on the 21st April and the public interest in the event was severely lacking. With a number of events contributing to the reason for the lack of excitement for the card, it is a worrying sign for the MMA Tycoon community that one of its marquee events received little to no fan-fare. CURRENT EVENTS IN MMA TYCOON Engine Change….Still not happened When Mike announced a number of planned engine changes last year, there was a very mixed reaction to it. Some supported the changes, some were sceptical of it being implemented effectively (Including myself), while some felt they were addressing the completely wrong issues with the game. Notable members such as Dinooo (Who quit over the proposed plans although some feel he was looking for any reason to quit), Duphus and Shortfuse all put forward their arguments against the changes. They felt Mike brushed over their posts without taking any of their points into consideration, which has contributed to their lack of activity in the game, and indeed with 2 of them, complete ceasing of activity. Mike has said on numerous times that the changes will be brought in at some point. Personally, I feel he has wasted too much time on this and it’s annoyed a lot of the game population, particularly given he once warned people about accepting fights in mid last year as they could be affected by the changes, only for those changes to never happen. Some people have had their training schedules negatively affected by this, but my feeling is that Mike needs to communicate what he is currently working on and what the proposed plans to implement are along with time frames for those. Many feel he is losing interest in progressing the game, or even keeping it to a standard, so giving people more information on the game’s development will be a good step forward for him to start repairing those bridges and communication lines. Battle for #1 manager leads to heated rivalry In recent times, Chris Karter was the #1 manager. Shortly after, Bradley Burns was the #1 manager, with CK dropping down to #3 (With some devilishly well written man in 2nd place). They have had a war of words in recent times and it culminated in a fight which pitted Chris Karter’s prodigy Cristian Tavares against Bradley Burns’ veteran grinder Vinnie Hopkins. It was a battle between two men who desperately wanted the victory, not just for a record books, but for the bragging rights and to be the man who cemented their manager as the top guy. It was a tense encounter, with the general consensus that Tavares had just managed to get the win. That wasn’t to be the case however, with Hopkins claiming the Majority Decision win. Many were outraged in the Ice Box Arena, with calls that Burns had bribed the officials. These claims were echoed just over 12 hours later when another of Burns’ fighters, Dwan Diego, took on Fleece Johnson in Fallen Champions KT. Despite public opinion, and that of the commentator on broadcast, feeling that Fleece Johnson had won every round of the 5 round battle, two of the judges’ scored the bout 49-46 in Diego’s favour. As things stand, Burns’ remains at the top of the managerial rankings and a rematch between Hopkins and Tavares has been sanctioned. With the original bout seeing Hopkins claim one of Tavares’ titles in HFC, the rematch will be for Hopkin’s Featherweight title at Claymore Elite Combat on the 5th July. Dynasty K-1 – The answer to KT’s woes over the years? In the words of many an MMA Tycoon manager but with a phrase initially coined by Chris Karter in the MMA Tycoon community – KT has been treated like the red headed step child of MMA Tycoon. Many orgs have attempted to bring it to prominence. The original Dynasty, EFFA and Fallen Champions have done well, but for one reason or another ended up falling. Fallen Champions are still alive in spirit however, as recently it was announced by Karter that he is putting together a team of managers who are dedicated to helping bring KT to a level it has never experienced before. He wasted no time in using his influence to sign people to the org, with Dynasty’s first event under the new team being a battle between MMA legend Randolph Turpin, and the current #1 MMA fighter in the world Kajun Puno. They are bringing in the roster of Fallen Champions to give the needed roster to pull off the endeavour, and we wish Dynasty K-1 the best of luck going forward with their staff: Owner: Jonah King Benefactor: Cobb . Mr Brophy: Grant Brophy CEO: Chris Karter Recruiter: Scottie Gonzo The Sausage: Rocket Sausage ID Orgs pushing for the top Speaking of exciting orgs, there are a number of ID orgs in the MMA world that have been growing at a rapid rate in popularity. Underground and Hardcore Fighting Championship are two orgs that were doing very well, but they have both dropped their ID restriction and it is now a question of how they will progress now going forward. The two orgs I am looking at in the ID restricted list both have huge potential and they would be Aspire MMA (275k) and Bushido (290k). Both have created a fantastic roster, provide weekly write ups, and are owned by incredible owners who are easy to work with. As of writing, Aspire already has plans in place to get into PPV’s and are doing that over the next month. They have managed to sign the best fighters in the ID range, and that gives them incredible depth that will serve them well as they get an increase in demand for weekly events. Bushido meanwhile don’t have PPV plans in place as of yet, but the options are there for them a few months down the line. Both orgs can become the next big names in MMA Tycoon’s competitive org environment, and we would like to wish them the best of luck in their plans. The End Of An Evolution A few years ago, a plan was put in place for a merger that would affect the top level of MMA Tycoon for years. Evolution was born, and many saw them as MMA Tycoon’s closest thing to the UFC. Mega events were put on, including the Dino vs Bowser roster battle and Evo Undisputed 2016. They held numerous records, such as highest event ticket revenue (Over $2m at EVO 84), the most 1003 event ratings of any org (113 compared to Syn in #2 who have 54), the most sell outs of the 93k arenas (166 compared to Ascension in 2nd with 35). They also hold the record for most PPV sales on an event with 463,642 for EVO124: Absolute EVO. In fact, for PPV sales they hold the top 18 events when it comes to the category. Evo has suffered in the past year however, with Dino leaving the game which meant Mega Jug has been running it solo, and also allegations made against him abusing his position to give himself highly hyped opponents and title fights. When you look at it purely for the numbers however, Evo has cemented itself in MMAT history. I’ll likely be doing a more indepth look at the org on a future TWW News, but for now we will leave it at that. 3. http://i.imgur.com/BawKd7t.png Edition #19 Good evening ladies and gents and welcome to Edition #19 of the TWW News. In this edition we have a multi report, an Olympics round up, a short article about Chat, and finally a farewell to one of the greatest managers to ever set sliders, Sean McDonnel better known as Shortfuse. Multi Report Kicking off the new year in style now as we have a multi accounting issue emanating from Las Vegas. We cross over now to our man in the field, Dog The Multi Hunter. http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14448282109364.gif Dog The Multi Hunter We’re just about to land in Las Vegas on our jet. This is an average operation really, no major names involved but something we definitely have to be prepared for to ensure no slip ups. *The plane lands and Dog and his team all get into the rental car they got* We’re coming up to this gym called All In MMA. It’s ran by a guy called Mike Ferguson and there are a lot of suspicions around him for a few reasons. First he got a gym the day he joined MMA Tycoon and from our reports, he actually hadn’t signed any fighters to his roster until January 6th. Surprisingly, all of those guys still haven’t had a fight yet. *The car pulls up opposite the gym, the team survey the area, before approaching the doors* Right, we are in the building now, just gonna bump up to reception and see what the story is and see if we can talk to the owner. *As they approach reception, they spot a fighter of the gym, Hugh Jaskok, sneaking out the side door - Dog returns to his own car with a couple of others while the rest of the team keep hold on the gym. Dog gets into the back of the car while another person drives and follows Jaskok who is making his escape in a taxi* Right so that is a guilty man if ever I saw one. Luckily I don’t think he caught sight of our car so we should be able to follow where he goes without any major issues. He obviously knows me so I’m keeping my head down so he doesn’t get sight. *After 20 minutes, they pull up outside a building and they see Jaskok run into a door. The team leave the car and follow quickly* So we saw him come down this way and from what we can see there are only two doors so that makes it a lot easier to lock him down. *They hear panicked whispers coming behind the door marked 3* And here we have it. I’m just gonna bust the door down and then I’d say we have our perp. *With the door already in disrepair, Dog front kicks the lock and the door flies open and they enter the room where a panicked Hugh Jaskok is along with…* Well well well, Jay Van Clief. We figured we would find you here. You’re coming with us. *Jay attempts to run but finds himself running into Dog’s partner for the day, Red Brophy, who lays him out with a right hand* Well that was interesting. Now we just cuff him and bring him down to the station and we can get our reward. http://i.imgur.com/KtB1Xkd.gif *End of dramatic version of events* Right now that is done with I can actually list the shit involved in this. The Mike Ferguson account was set up on the 8th November - The same day Jay Van Clief would take control of the DFC-LV org. In a post on the forums on the day he actually said: “If I had someone who would buy my gym which still has plenty of money in it to keep it run plus allow me to keep my fighters in the gym with free control of training for them I would be 100% open to buying DFC” So it is clear from this that Jay made the Mike Ferguson account in order to take his gym so he could take over the DFC-LV org. The gym has had only Jay’s fighters in it since it was opened, and the account itself didn’t actually log in again until Mid-Late December. The Mike Ferguson account made 10 fighters on the 6th January, and subsequently every single one of them was signed to DFC-LV without even having a single fight. They are booked onto events, including 4 of them on the DFC-LV event in which the account is fighting himself - A clear exploitation of using the multi account in order to fill his events. We kept our eyes on this one for a while just to have absolute confidence and we have had mod approval on the story and it has been forwarded on to Mike Tycoon for judgement. Olympics Recap We had The Olympics run from November until this past weekend. It was pretty underwhelming, mainly in due part to myself having very little time to actually provide the write ups such an event deserved. For that I can only apologise. But we can recap the results for each division now: 135 lbs Gold Medal - Sean Tallon (Evo) Silver Medal - Mike Ehrmantraut (Syn) Bronze Medal - Lorne Malvo (Ascension) Fourth Place - Anton Chekhov (MFN) 145lbs Gold Medal - Tuomari Hurmio (Evo) Silver Medal - Don Juan Matus (Syn) Bronze Medal - Shogun Iron Tyson (Ascension) Fourth Place - Henrique Ramos (CFC) 155lbs Gold Medal - Helix Cabrera (Syn) Silver Medal - Lamont Hawkins (Evo) Bronze Medal - N/A Fourth Place - N/A *The 3rd place fight for this division has not happened due to MFN’s inactivity but the fight is looking to be scheduled in the near future to decide* 170lbs Gold Medal - Mordecai Sackett (CFC) Silver Medal - Salosen Mara (MFN) Bronze Medal - Chief Tappenahomma (Trinity) Fourth Place - Dean Duggan (Ascension) 185lbs Gold Medal - Karim Bashorov (MFN) Silver Medal - Steven Rutherford (Syn) Bronze Medal - Kenta Kobashi (CEC) Fourth Place - Jason Sturd Jr (Ascension) 205lbs Gold Medal - Sotiris Kakoullis (Evo) Silver Medal - Tiago Renato (Ascension) Bronze Medal - Remi Highjack (Trinity) Fourth Place - Archie Moore (CFC) 265lbs Gold Medal - Itse Perkele (Evo) Silver Medal - Grigori Rasputin (CEC) Bronze Medal - Gymer Alexandersson (Syn) Fourth Place - Timur Rubin (Trinity) 265+lbs Gold Medal - Giuseppe Maldini (Evo) Silver Medal - Cyril Makarenko (Trinity) Bronze Medal - Diego Bustamante (Syn) Fourth Place - Maurice Vontavious Payne (Ascension) So with those results, the Overall Org Standings are 1st - Evolution (19 points) 2nd - Synchronicity (17 points) 3rd - Ascension (10 points) 4th - Trinity (8 points) 5th - Montreal Fight Nights (8 points) 6th - Canadian Fighting Championships (6/7 points) 7th - Claymore Elite Combat (5 points) 8th - Death Squad MMA (0/1 point) Again, I can only apologise for the lack of hype around the event, but it was still an enjoyable event for the fighters involved and now the orgs can return to their regular scheduling. MMA Tycoon Chat If you have looked anywhere on the forums as of late you will have no doubt seen Mega Jug (HometownHero) obliterating the forums recently asking people to come into chat, and to the surprise of many, it actually worked as what would normally be a chatroom with maybe 5 people at most talking has seen upwards of 20 people in there at a time talking away to each other. I have to say it’s been a refreshing experience in Tycoon to have people jump in and have people talk about pretty much everything, from real life stuff to the latest happenings in MMA Tycoon. Just for anywho who hasn’t joined and checked it out, give it a go as there has been a lot of fun in there in the past few weeks, and for some of the newer members, there are guys in there willing to help you with almost anything in the game. Farewell to a legend… Speaking of chat, news broke in there last week that Sean McDonnel, aka Shortfuse the owner of Synchronicity, would be leaving the game. Now, Shortfuse has been one of the best managers to ever play the game. He is in the top 10 for most Wins, most KO Wins and most Decision Wins, is a former #1 manager and has a former #1 fighter in Danny Power. He ran a #1 org in Synchronicity in recent times, and in general has been one of the best managers in the game. I only really got to know Fuse in the past couple of years so others will able to tell you more about him, but I personally have to thank Fuse a lot for the help he has given me when it comes to a variety of things such as Org Management, and in more recent times, Fighters and Sliders. I attribute a lot of my recent success to him taking the time to help me out back in March - May last year when I was looking to learn and he, along with Duphus and Dino, took the time to actually help me learn about the game more. So for that, I say thank you Shortfuse, and I hope to see you back again in the future, but for now I wish you the best in your life. That’s it for TWW News this time, we’ll see you again soon.
  4. http://i.imgur.com/BawKd7t.png Edition #18 It is with a sad and heavy heart that I write this piece really but considering the event, it’s something that has to be reported on. We hope to have a regular edition out before the end of the month regarding other news, but honestly this deserves an edition all of it’s own. A thread was posted earlier a few hours ago by Mike Tycoon himself regarding to two top ranked managers in the game - Mr Wolf and Aaron ThaiGuy. In his thread, which you can READ HERE, Mike Tycoon explains the following; While creating the Mobile Version of the Website, Mike Tycoon enlisted the help of Aaron ThaiGuy in converting the site into a mobile friendly version. As part of Aaron helping him, Mike created a folder which Aaron could use to test the pages he did to ensure they worked properly. Members of the community noticed suspicious goings on with Wolf and Aaron including their fighters seeming to not train yet growing in skills rapidly. The breaker though was a coupe of Aaron's fighters having suspicious TOTT showings, with one fighter changing from "Good Chin" to "Granite Chin" and another fighter who was in a creation tournament showing "Insanely Flexible". Mike made numerous checks and so asked Wolf about it. Wolf confessed to the situation immediately. The result was Aaron was using the folder Mike gave him access with to use a script in which he could edit the skills AND hiddens of fighters - Which resulted in his and Wolf’s rosters being filled with ridiculously good fighters. So as a result Mike is having their current booked fights run with a couple of changes. All of the fighters on their rosters have been changed so their hiddens are now 1 across the board, meaning they are likely to get demolished with ease. As a result, their current booked opponents are in line for a nice hype gain. So now we have the facts out of the way, we come to the speculation when it comes to the situation which I will give my opinion on in each scenario. How long has it been going on? This question cannot be answered by anyone except for Aaron and Wolf right now. Mike himself doesn’t know and he said he will be talking to Aaron to ask about it in the future as Aaron is currently on holiday in Thailand. Was there anyone else involved in it? Now this is where the story gets very much opinionated. When looking at who could possibly be involved, you get one of two thoughts. Other Vendetta members, and admittedly, Myself. We’ll start with the Vendetta situation. The obvious people to look at would be Ryan Epicity and UniConor. Now, this may be personal opinion, but I couldn’t imagine Ryan being involved in something like this. He had a roster of really great guys well over a year ago, in fact nearly 2 years could be felt. I don’t think he would have been involved, although that could also be personal bias since I think Ryan is a stand up guy. Conor meanwhile released a statement, which you can READ HERE, he denies any involvement in the situation, while also stating that Wolf and Aaron have been kicked from Vendetta as a result of the situation. My personal view comes mainly from Mike’s statement where he said he believes no other alliance mates had any wrong doing so I feel Conor is in the clear for the situation. Now, we get to Myself. When I initially heard the news, I was shocked to be honest. I was on TeamSpeak with Bob Vendarra (Madbob) and John Hetfield (Beck) playing games when Bob said the thread was posted. Initially I thought he was trolling me, but when I logged on and saw it, I genuinely couldn’t believe it. Now, I understand people feel there is enough of a connection to warrant investigating. I am a previous Vendetta member (Left in January of this year) and I am involved in a website with both Wolf and Aaron. My personal view is that I have nothing to hide and I even asked Mike to check my fighters to see if anything was changed because I wasn’t sure if Wolf and Aaron would have only affected their own fighters or possibly had fun changing some other fighters in the game. I would be the first person asking questions if it was someone else in this position, so I understand some people having the question, but I will say now that I had 0 knowledge or involvement of the goings on. Obviously people can make up their own minds, but that is just my mini statement on the matter when it comes to myself. So what happens now with the fallout? Well first of all this leaves a sizeable dent in The Olympics. Wolf had 5 fighters competing and I have asked Mike if it would be possible to cancel the fights he is booked in, in order to allow the orgs to replace his fighters rather than taking essential auto losses. Hopefully that can be resolved and the orgs involved in the discussion so far have been nothing short of stellar. The Manager Of The Year debate just got blown wide open now with Mr Wolf having been the front runner for the accolade by the country mile. Other managers will now have to use the final month essentially to push themselves to the fore front of people’s minds when it comes to voting. Some of the guys I feel will be leading the charge are Bob Vendarra, Whymer Van Mastodon and Michael Knight. Of course, this comes from about 5 mins of looking at the current ranks and who I remember doing well over the year so not really an educated stab at it right now. And finally, Championships in different orgs just got a lot more interesting. Wolf and Aaron had numerous champions in different orgs and with their scripting were virtually unstoppable. Now their places are up for grabs with the chance to fill them open to anybody in the fortunate position to try to. It will be interesting over the coming months to see who emerges from the shadows, and in regards to the manager ranks, who becomes the new dominant force at the top of the game. Closing Statement So my personal view on it after the shock faded was annoyance really. I will say I get on great with both guys, and it is highly disappointing to me that they would do this kind of thing in the game. The major comparison this draws is to the Mentor scandal from Summer 2014. Personal viewpoint - This is worse than that. Mentor’s cheating resulted in some extra profits and he got to hold an extra company while filling fights in his org. This incident resulted in a manager holding the #1 spot in the rankings for virtually an entire year nearly, preventing other managers from hitting the accolade while also gaining unfair wins throughout the year over managers who could have been playing fairly (It’s MMA Tycoon, we can’t say for sure everyone was playing fair). He was gaining huge signing bonuses due to his fighters being at the top, won a tournament, held numerous titles, and most annoyingly of all, he kept this facade going while looking modest on the forums about the achievements. Now, Wolf is a decent guy still in my opinion, but this definitely showed the darker side to him. As for Aaron, he came up with the script and while he didn’t hold the #1 spot at any point (mainly due to Wolf holding it all year), he prevented others from hitting the higher ranks with a combination of holding the #2 spot and gaining unfair wins which would actually have lost other managers their rank. Now, I imagine neither guy thought of these consequences, or they did and didn’t give a shit, but either way it was a highly selfish act which they would have continued to get away with until they either got caught at another time or until they got bored and decided to tell people. Wolf was a member of the editorial team for TWW News and that’s another reason I am disappointed. I will continue this on, possibly with others helping if people are willing, but I will do it solo if need be. In closing, this is possibly the worst scandal in MMA Tycoon history, depending on your viewpoint of the incidents. While it caused a lot of liveliness in the forums, it was a sad reason for the forums to burst into life. You can see the reactions of Chris Karter (CLICK HERE) and MMA Hype (CLICK HERE) also on the forums. For now from us at TWW News on this weird Friday night, good night.
  5. http://i.imgur.com/BawKd7t.png Dean Sutherland (Dinooo) Hello folks and welcome to the first TWW of the year, and you are probably wondering why the long wait? Laziness mixed with other shit to do would be the answer to that one, Grant has been asking at least twice per month about doing one and I kept putting it off but alas finally we have ourselves a TWW; perhaps not if I don’t make it all the way through this. Anyway off to the news around Tycoon, as you can imagine a lot has happened in the past 5 months. Alliance Movements So the number one question I have been asked is why did I leave Convicted? This will take about two paragraphs, so if you are not interested then skip the next two. There were a few reasons to me leaving Convicted and none of them were drama related. The first one was when Mannetosen left for the second time and Crisse becoming frequently inactive during trips to Thailand. I have always said Convicted was like a family which is true, you have your brothers and then you have your cousins and of course you have Papa Templeton. Me, Crisse, Mannetosen, Hans and Templeton got on great, I spoke/speak to them still to this day. That isn’t to say that the rest of the guys weren’t cool, I got on well with all of them. The thing is when you look at Convicted; they have lost over the past couple of years guys like Harry, Ethan, Mannetosen, Avon, Tarmo and Soyster along with a few others who weren’t members very long like Meat, Firus and Furious Styles. The active members really when I left were guys like Mihail, Lance, Hans, Macho and Davy. You add in the fact Lance mailed me about quitting perhaps 8 times in 6 months and I felt like shit every time he done it, because he is one of my very best friends in the game; this now ties in with the second part. I for quite a while wanted to help newer players, anyone who has been in chat over the years or on the forums knows that I enjoy helping newer players whether it is in the fighter business, the org business or really any business in Tycoon. I have helped set up numerous people with jobs in orgs, some more successfully than others over the years. The most difficult thing for newer players is networking and getting to know other managers. When I first joined the game, there was a noob alliance called Ferengi, ran by Xavier who owned K-1 Dynasty. This got me in contact with some really good guys and started my networking around the game, guys like Guns McKenzie and Math Perret are two guys I really got along with but sadly both left the game a while back. I wanted to create an alliance which would help newer players network with other newer players and I could help them get in with bigger orgs or other businesses using my network of friends I Have met over the years in the game. Hence the reason I created Qlimax with other guys who enjoy helping people such as Duphus, who is easily one of the most knowledgeable people in the game and Grant who knows a shit ton about the org business, we added another few vets to help out such as Bob and Beck who both also know their way around the org side of things too. Anyway, there is no beef between me and Convicted. I know it isn’t nearly as entertaining as Chris’ explanation of things, but I do need to add one thing about who I mailed about leaving. I mailed Hans, Crisse, Lance and told Mannetosen in case he ever returned and wondered where I was. Why didn’t I mailed Chris? I figured one of the other guys would tell him, we only spoke on occasion about football mostly, nothing really game related. This brings me on to now a more fun topic as the two premier alliances in the game, BHP and Convicted, both added new members to their rosters to battle it out of the #1 alliance tag. Peel Steel and Bjorn (we will get to that later, don’t you worry) both joined BHP. Peel Steel imo one of the challengers for manager of the year this go around was swiftly picked up from BHP after leaving his previous alliance. Bjorn finally found a top alliance which would have him (or so he thought) and ditched out on the Dogs of War, after being rejected from Convicted the previous year. Convicted added someone who Chris said was one of the most underrated managers in the game, I disagree on the underrated part since in the past 2 years when I have went up against him, I know I was going against one of the best the game had to offer. Klatz has been one of the best managers in the game over the past 2 years, he has never quite found the consistency but he has always had top fighters from AJ Herts to Jameson Connemara. If I got to pick my replacement for leaving Convicted, I am glad it was a guy like Klatz who found a home with another cray Russian in Mihail. Now on to a bit of drama which went on, since you know the TMZ section of the TWW needs some loving. The ownership of BHP recently changed hands and Barn relinquished control of the alliance to Mega Jug. We asked Barn for a quote about the situation and he kindly obliged. “Due to personality conflicted within the alliance we were forced to make a choice over losing members or losing Bjorn. I overstepped myself by overruling the alliance no votes and letting Bjorn in without a unanimous decision. He came in on a probationary period and I said if it came down to losing a member or booting Bjorn it would be Bjorn. Because of this situation we have officially agreed to have a unanimous vote for allowing new members and booting old ones as it should always have been. Due to my indiscretion and overreach of power, I have resigned my position as alliance owner in shame. Jug owns the Broken Halo Pride now so only he knows for sure if Bjorn will be back. There are some members of The Pride who will not vote yes on letting him back in so I don’t see it happening” Now to put this into a bit of context for people out there, Bjorn and Mega Jug had heat which turned nuclear when Bjorn tried to sabotage a main event for Evo. There were also a lot of whispers that Bjorn was trying to poach fighters from Evo. Anyway, Mega Jug voted now to having Bjorn in the alliance but Barn let him in on a probationary period. About a week or so ago, Steel left the alliance stating that there was a lot of tension in the alliance and it was causing people not to talk in alliance chat, this was all created because of Bjorn and Mega Jug having heat and other members of BHP starting to get sick of Bjorn anyway. Barn gave Mega Jug control of BHP and Mega Jug promptly put a boot to ass and punted him out of the alliance. Peel Steel has since re-joined the group and they now sit around the camp fire and sing kumbaya. There was also another rumour swirling around Tycoon that Barn maybe moving to Convicted, these rumours however were shot down by Barn in a PM which I have been told not to make public. It would also be rude for me not to mention another few moves which flew under the radar as the Dogs of War seem to have disbanded and rebranded into The Disciples. It contains managers such as MFN owner Lar, Joe River, JLP and Mike Thomas. A notable person missing is Scooby Ali, who moved to Vendetta which is a great move for them as a motivated Scooby is like a motivated BJ Penn. The Cage Cartel also booted Baby Face Nelson after more accusations of him ducking and brought in a savvy vet by the name of Louie. Anyway, if I was to continue this it would be really fucking lengthy and I have a bit more to talk about so here goes the other news. Org News In the org world, there was no bigger news than Bjorn giving Syn to Shortfuse. Sean has recently taken over Legacy, was offered the chance to take Syn off Bjorn’s hands before he completely killed it. Legacy then merged into Syn, similar to the move that Sean done before with SFC and restocked Syn full of talented young fighters. He then purchased Havoc as Davie could no longer find the time to run the org and it is now in the process of merging into Legacy cementing it as the new king of the 260k ID orgs. On a parting note about Syn, as I really don’t want to go into the details of why Syn failed, I feel I need to address something that was written back in January about me trying to sabotage Syn. I have not had the time, energy or motivation to go after Syn, I haven’t even set sliders for the past few months to be perfectly honest. I have basically sat from afar and watched Bjorn plunge Syn into the toilet without lifting a finger. As I said befoe in a rant about him getting Syn in the first place, him taking over Syn is like driving a Ferrari without having a drivers licence and I was ultimately correct as he crashed and burned. Anyway, other news, Troid EP and Insanity merged together to create Trinity which is now one of the top orgs in the game. A lot has been already published on this so I will leave it at that. Ascension has risen from the dead as Scott Davies now holds the EPL in there along with Donald running a few divisions. It is nice to see the org back on its feet again. Clydebankblitz would cry if I didn’t give Highland Games a mention, which has went from strength to strength and is now running the big arena and 3 hour PPV’s without a hitch. Right I am nearly 200 words into this shit already and I haven’t even covered a quarter for the shit I had planned to do. I’ll do the fighters and managers etc. in a half year awards in June, but I feel like you guy have been neglected from your usual dose of multi accounts and Wolf’s lair or hole or sock or arsehole, I dunno what he is calling it these days but anyway, on to those guys. Wolf’s Hole with Mr Wolf. With the ITFL and EPL both starting next week, I feel a small piece about them is due. Everyone knows they are two of the most prestigious tournaments going, both offering huge prizes for the winners. Both EPL 8 and 9 were run almost simultaneously, whilst EPL 9 received more coverage thanks to YerMaw’s excellent previews, EPL8 almost flew under the radar. The finals of EPL 9 finished on the 28th of April, with Mega Jug ‘s fighter Ashley Harrington taking home the honours. I doubt many would have seen that coming when the season started so congratulations to him. EPL 8 will finish up on the 9th of May, with the finals taking place in Syn. It sees Billy Beast managed by GWad taking on Brandon Hale whom The Antidote manages. Beast overcame a rough start to this season, going 2-3 in his first 5 and since going 11-2, whilst Hale’s lack of finishing power has seen him almost come from no where and keep winning those decisions. Beast holds a victory over Hale from earlier in the season, let’s see if the result will be the same. Good luck to both. The Upcoming EPL 10 season takes place at 145lbs, and looks to be one of the most promising season in recent memory with numerous top managers entering their fighters in it. You have Abraham Donowitz of Chris Karter, John Jamison of Mega Jug (who won EPL 9, so you can’t count him out), Klatz has entered a fighter who doesn’t look too strong with an 13-10 record but anyting can happen, top prospect Lorne Malvo managed by JLP, a relatively untested Lance fighter, and also one of Michael Knights crop. Of course there are many more who have entered and the unique format of EPL allows anyone to get a head up on their opponents at any time. Previews will be coming by Tony Scat, so it looks to be an interesting season with quite a few younger fighters entering this time as opposed to the old fighters we usually see entering EPL. ITFL 5 starts the same day (4th May) but it will be going on a while longer than EPL. This season is restricted at 245k for light heavy weights. 6 teams are entering, Team Conquer, Charles Grace All Stars, Vendetta, Icon, Sully’s and the Dong Squad. Right from the start there are 2 favourites in Team Conquer and the Charles Grace All Stars who’s teams consist of very good fighters but also very good managers. My personal bias says that Vendetta will also be contending and will be up there, but many also thought the Finn Fighters last season would do very well but ended up finishing very low last season (might have been last). There are also some top fighters entering, many who have been pegged to go on after this tournament and achieve great recognition by using ITFL as a platform to launch off of. Rivalries My next piece is about manager-manager or alliance – alliance rivalries that end in fights taking place between their fighters. Last year we had two manager on manager rivalries and subsequent events. The one that everyone will probably remember is Dino vs Bowser. At the time Bowser was on top of the world, long time #1 manager. Dino however didn’t think all too much of him and challenged him to a 10v10 roster battle. How much this was to do with the ongoing BHP vs Convicted rivalries or was it just between these two? Anyways, Dino ended up winning, not only winning but destroying Bowser 9-1. In my 2 years playing the game, I don’t think I’ve seen anything like this and doubt I will again anytime soon, two top managers willing to risk it all by going head to head in a 10 v 10 roster battle. It was quite something. Next up we had the infamous Castor wanting a tycoon deathmatch with anyone, he was wanting to leave the game but wanted one last hurrah. The man to challenge him was a long time ‘fan’ in Butch Harris. The lead up smack talk was on point, but the event failed to settle anything as it ended in a very anti climatic 5-5 draw. Castor fizzled out shortly afterwards and left the game whilst Butch continues to trudge along. It was quite a while before we had a legitimate rivalry between two managers again, one that actually ended with them fighting and not posturing. Lots had threatened to ‘settle the score’ but nothing much ever came of it. Recently however, we have a few starting out again. Ryan Epicity challenged Chris Karter to a series of fights, Karter a former #1 manager accepted. Things didn’t quite go Ryan’s way as he lost 2-1-1, but he had the balls to go in there and challenge a top manager. So props to him for doing that and also to CK for backing up his talk and winning. More recently, Ryan also challenged Bjorn (again). After much dilly dallying Bjorn accepted the fight which is yet to take place. There was also a recent manager vs manager event between Rory Daly and GBK16 which was billed as the "Battle of the Scrubs". In typical scrub fashion it ended 3-3, and we have been promised this is not the end of the rivalry as they look to seek a conclusion. Now, you may be wondering why am I writing this? Well, I keep seeing managers talk shit to one another and quite frankly it gets boring after a while. After all we are playing an MMA game, so the best way to settle things is not a war of words but who is can beat the other one a game. Many seem to be scared to take these challenges, as they will lose face if they lose so the cycle continues of trading insults that get re-used over and over but nothing gets done about it. In all honesty, STFU or fight. The Multi Report with Grant Brophy (GBK16) Welcome once more ladies and gents to the drama filled segment where we expose the multis in the game for your enjoyment and delight. This is going to be a very long edition of The Multi Report, as we have uncovered a huge amount of multi accounting, and will be presenting the evidence to you, the public to judge as you please. Fat Boy multi accounting to feed fights to Ultimate Vale Tudo We are kicking things off with the long time owner of Ultimate Vale Tudo in Rio De Janeiro - Fat Boy (175). Yes, sadly a long time player, and someone you can consider an original member of this site has been using multi accounts in order to benefit his org. Who are the accounts in question? Why, none other than established veterans Ace Rockolla (1355) and John Simons (2304). We have confirmation all three managers are on the same IP address, and a quick look at them shows how much they contribute to UVT. Ace Rockolla has competed in, wait for it…927 fights in UVT! John Simons is a bit better, I mean, he has only competed in 488 fights in the org. So these two accounts have a combined total of 1,415 fights in UVT. It’s less important seeing as it’s the main account, but the Fat Boy account also has a total of 1,145 fights in the org, meaning combined between all three, they have 2,560 fights in the org. Meanwhile, a look at their record against each other brings up the following: Fat Boy vs Ace Rockolla = 277 fights (271 in UVT) Fat Boy vs John Simons = 102 fights (96 in UVT) Ace Rockolla vs John Simons = 95 fights (86 in UVT) So in the 2,560 fights they have in the org, 453 of those were the accounts competing against each other. It is a real shame that such a long standing org has relied on multi accounting in order to help fill cards and maintain its longevity. While there is an argument to be made for Fat Boy competing in his own org, there is no excuse for him to have 2 multi accounts that he abuses to extreme proportions in order to benefit his org, and the extreme amount of matchmaking between himself and the other accounts is inexcusable. However, you could possibly also include a current high ranking manager into the mix, although it could just be a string of coincidences. Lyoto Rua Julio is the current #1 ranked manager, and it’s come at a time when he has certainly ramped up his participation in UVT. Here are some examples of his fighters in UVT. Gunmetal Grey Ii - Current 205lbs champion - Fought either the org owner’s multis or other multis in his last 10 fights. Murray Jackson - Current 170 and 185lbs champion - Fought against the org owner’s multis for 12 of his lat 15 bouts. Moyses Mattos - Fought the same manager all but one time in UVT, and that manager fights exclusively in UVT. James LaBrie - All of his fights in the org have been against the org owner’s multis. We’d like to make clear that Lyoto Rua Julio is not a multi accounter from what we have learned, however it does appear that his history in UVT has been padded by continuously facing the same managerial opposition constantly, and in many favourable circumstances for himself. Onto the other champs now, and they read as follows: Ray Reilly - Current 145 and 155lbs champ, currently managed by Fat Boy - Fought his own multis for the last 9 fights straight Bryan Bishop - Current 135lbs champ, managed by Ace Rockolla - Fought in UVT and QFC’s for his whole career while competing against his own multis on many occasions Bleh Wah - Current 265+ lbs champ, managed by Brooklyn House of Pain - Fought the Org Owner’s multis and other multis consistently. So that wraps up the UVT section of The Multi Report, but my friends, we are only getting started. Funny Monkey Business going on Everyone suspected it was going on, and now we bring you the exclusive proof of the matter. For a bit of history, Monkey Business use to run an org called Monkey Business Fighting, which ran last year from August to November. Questions were raised about the legitimacy of the org, but nothing was ever proven. He opened his current org, Fight Exclusive Night, at the start of the year, and warning signs can be spotted immediately. The highest pay for any event they have run is $20,500. For a 20 fighter card, this means the average pay per fighter is only $1,025, something that doesn’t seem right immediately. Further investigation of the org presents some highly suspicious activity also. He also noted that while the gym says “FEN Gym”, there are currently 17 fighters in the gym, all of which are managed by either Monkey Business himself, or one of the managers above. It’s clear the accounts are being logged into to accept fights before being logged out of to continue onto other accounts to accept fights in order to keep FEN cards going, a shameful act to say the least and something that I imagine his alliance mates at The Highland Network will be disappointed with. Wait...You mean more Highland Network misdeeds? Yes, unfortunately it appears Monkey Business is not the only offender in The Highland Network. In what is a sad turn of events, it has come to light from a source that Reggie Thistleton, the owner of Highland Island, has another account which has been competing in Highland Games and Highland Island. The Elk (96800) is the account in question. With 72 fights in his history, 35 of those have come from competing in Highland orgs, and only 1 fight on his record has come from a Non-Highland or QFC org. It may come to light that The Elk is a relative of Reggie, but that does not excuse the fact he has competed in Highland orgs, ones that Reggie himself has owned as well, and benefitted the org. It’s a shame, as it undermines the work that the other members of the alliance have put in, and I don’t believe anybody outside of Reggie knew about it considering the risk it gave to the main org. So on that note, a shame for Highland Network, and shame on Reggie for using a multi account. Quick Recap of a Recent Multi Scandal Another multi case came to light recently, and it’s a long thread so I will link you to my post on the thread where it is all explained. http://www.mmatycoon.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=54457&p=752169 From myself and the other members of Qlimax, we would like to apologise for what this asshat has done to Highland KT, and we have booted him immediately from the alliance. Apologies also goes out to Juice Box, who purchased VIP for him but never got paid. Dino has sent him the cash to replace it, and hopefully now we will see less of this kind of behaviour in the game. Further on from there…. Well I am sure a lot of people figured this was coming. On that thread, we had a certain member of the MMAT community praising - I repeat “PRAISING” - the actions of Randy Richards. He proceeded to get bashed to high heaven, and it immediately got turned into a case where people thought it was due to him saying people shouldn’t be checking IP’s. We wanna clear 2 things up first of all. 1, he was not being bashed for the IP comment, he was being bashed for praising the actions of a fuckwit scumbag. 2, we here at TWW News have not seen nor have we ever personally checked any member of the MMA Tycoon communities IP Address in order to find evidence for a TWW article. We have liaisoned with the officials and followed all the steps to ensure a fair and rigorous research process, and all of our info has been forwarded onto them before anything goes further. Now, with that out of the way, let’s chat about David Morrison shall we? Now, first thing I want to say is that we have no clue as to David Morrison’s IP, and we would never even attempt to personally find that information. However, we have found out through the appropriate means that David Morrison does indeed run a multi account. Now, red lights came about with David being vehemently against IP checks, although his stance being privacy of information, it has come to light that David actually has another account. The account in question being Shan Lee (102965). Not only has Shan Lee competed in 36 USFC sanctioned fights, and not only is Shan a member of the same alliance as David Morrison, but Shan is also used to hold an alliance gym for David Morrison’s Bullet Proof Mafia, although he doesn’t actually have any fighters in said gym. Apart from that, not much interesting about it, just a cut and dry case of Shan Lee helping David’s alliance by holding a gym, while competing in USFC fights, with 14 of the last 20 being in the org. David has recently announced plans to close USFC as a result of IP checks, so it looks like we won’t be seeing much of him, or Shan, in the future. Some Khalasars do have them… And our final Multi Report story for this edition comes from the top 10 P4P rankings of MMA Tycoon’s managerial world as it seems one member has been a bit of a naughty boy. Khal Drogo (77564) is the current #5 manager in the world and has reached that rank through competing exclusively in Blunt Force Trauma for 2 years. It’s coincidental he is the current #5 manager, as he has another 5 accounts also. Those being Mayhem Miller (46140) , Michael Knight (46307) , Samoa Joe (65549) , Crazy Monkey (76210) and Dwayne “Superman” Johnson (86369). All 6 accounts have fought almost exclusively in BFT, and although it does look highly suspicious, we cannot say for certain that the owner of BFT is also linked with these accounts, but we have an interesting note to make. Khal Drogo - 193 fights (105 in BFT) Mayhem Miller - 365 fights (185 in BFT) Michael Knight - 394 fights (84 in BFT) Samoa Joe - 297 fights (152 in BFT) Crazy Monkey - 250 fights (96 in BFT) Dwayne Johnson - 200 fights (75 in BFT) All 6 accounts have high levels of activity in the BFT org, which shows a pattern among them. But now we get to the more serious side of it, where we have definitive proof of these accounts interacting. Their records against each other. Khal Drogo: 11-5 vs Mayhem Miller , 3-2-1 vs Michael Knight , 1-5 vs Samoa Joe , 4-2 vs Crazy Monkey , 4-0-1 vs Dwayne Johnson Mayhem Miller: 6-5 vs Michael Knight , 4-3 vs Samoa Joe , 9-2 vs Crazy Monkey , 1-3 vs Dwayne Johnson Michael Knight: 2-4 vs Samoa Joe , 3-4 vs Crazy Monkey , 2-0 vs Dwayne Johnson Samoa Joe: 1-1-1 vs Crazy Monkey , 0-3 vs Dwayne Johnson Crazy Monkey: 1-0 vs Dwayne Johnson. That comes up to 94 fights between the 6 accounts, and a huge majority of those have taken place in BFT. My own personal opinion is the org owner doesn’t know and he just feels he has 6 loyal managers who are willing to throw all their fighters in his org. However, Khal Drogo and his khalasar of multis can royally fuck off for this. That’s all from The Multi Report this time around. Plenty to report on, and plenty of fun to be had for those reading. I’ll see you all on the next edition of TWW News if we spot anymore cheating cbombs for the public to roast. The Big Interview….RazorMuayThai! We're gonna be interviewing some managers on TWW News from now on to get the best insight possible into different areas of the game. Our first guest is none other than the new owner of EFFA, the #1 KT Org in the game, Aaron Newton! Glad to have you here Aaron. Can you give the readers a bit of background about yourself and your experiences running orgs? Hi Grant, great to be here! I guess I've had somewhat more experience in the org business that others may have had in the MMA Tycoon world. My first org was XKC, a London based KT in which I created and got to the #1 KT spot in the world - and this was at the time of both Dynasty and EFFA so it was quite a big deal to achieve that back then! Following XKC, I moved to be co-owner at NGF. NGF was a top 10 org with a lot of history when I joined up there. It was highly successful in my time as co-owner there and we hit the #1 MMA spot in the world, even if it was for only a day! After leaving NGF I took a lot of time out of working at orgs before taking ownership of Imperial in Amsterdam. Imperial was the premium 240K+ restricted org at its time and had a great roster of future talents who are now flourishing in the top orgs. Also in my time at Imperial we had an org face-off with Legacy, an event which we won, taking home the $1,000,000 prize fund and the pride to go with it. Then after another break, I purchased EFFA. I heard the org was up for sale and decided that I would buy it, due to my original work in KT it seemed a massive shame to let the main KT organisation die under the wrong owners, so I'm now here looking to bring new and exciting things to the KT world!! Well exciting is certainly one way to describe it, as you announced a huge tournament soon after taking over the org. Can you tell us more about it and some of the fighters involved in it? That's correct, shortly after taking over at EFFA I announced the 16-man heavyweight knockout league tournament with the winner winning a pay cheque of $3,000,000. We've just hosted the first round and saw some great fights. The two favourites for me at the minute would either be Sher Shah Suri or Ashley Harrington, who both picked up impressive stoppages in the first round. KT has seemed to always be the proverbial step child to the MMA part of the game, with many ideas on improving the KT scene seeming to only just recently be heard and considered by Mike Tycoon. With his recent splitting of the MMA and KT records, and possibly more adjustments to help KT become more enjoyable, do you think we could see an increase in the popularity of KT going forward? It's great to see that Mike is finally putting some efforts into growing the KT aspect of the game and I hope it does help generate more interest in KT but only time will tell. In terms of the record splitting, it's great he's done it, but I think it can have been done better, it's not the easiest on the eye that's for sure. So aside from running a huge tournament to bring more interest in the Org and the Sport, what else can we expect to see from EFFA going forward under your stewardship? Bob Vendarra did a great job running the org before he handed it off to another manager, where the org seemed to go backwards before you picked it up. Can we expect to see EFFA going as strong as ever? Bob did an amazing job at running EFFA and nobody can doubt that, and it's my aim to try and get the org back to where it was in it's "prime". Hopefully I can get EFFA to a point where we can run PPV's on a monthly if not fortnightly basis - but we've still got a long way to go to get to that point. Thank you for your time Razor. It's been a pleasure to have you here on TWW News. Would you like to say anything else before we wrap things up? Just a massive thanks for having me, and to everyone out there, EFFA are actively seeking KT fighters, so if you have a guy then let me know!! So that brings an end to this edition of TWW News. Hope you all enjoyed the read and hopefully we will have another edition for you sooner rather than later.
  6. Hello ladies, gents and other life forms today Skip Clueless and Stephen BS are going to breakdown the cards on xmas day. Evo vs Asc, should be fun. Skip Clueless here, and i will be first breaking down the main events. Womba vs Frost or Creel vs Takahashi Well it’s a clear and easy winner when we look at these fights. Womba vs Frost should be Chris Karters last chance of beating Womba. It has a whole lot of public interest in it and I for one will certainly be watching this on PPV. The most interesting thing about the fight is that Womba put up his FOTY title in this fight, a loss could be detrimental to his ambitions to take home the trophy. Frost is just looking for revenge, plain and simple, he must be fed up watching team mate after team mate being taken out by Womba. It is just a small part of what should be an epic card. Now I get on to Creel vs Takahashi, errr its a good fight. Versus vs Ascension champion, with Takahashi coming back in a big way with his last win against the SHW king Ernesto. Creel is undefeated in the year and a pure wrecking machine. I'd take Creel in this fight and in a big way. To be honest it’s a bit disappointing but I suppose it was the best HW available at the time. Winner - Womba vs Frost by a landslide. Stephen BS - i am in agreement with Skip here, not as much hype has went into Creel vs Takahashi. In all honesty i expect it to be another name to the resume and business as usual for Creel. Now let me breakdown to y'all the Co-Main events of the evening. We have Neo Kable the undefeated, wonderkid, superstar in the making. The are no amount of superlatives that can describe the young man. He takes on top SHW Willy Stoppers in the Evo FOTY final for the men who could do with a salad or two in their diet. Both men hit hard and i doubt it lasts longer than a round, Kable will look to put a stamp down on an undefeated year and closing out as the young fighter of the year. Stoppers is in the role of spoiler, i fully expect him to put up a fight against Kable, he is also one of the most dangerous fighters Neo has went up against, and will want to test Kables chin. On the otherside we have Murdock vs Player, Asc vs UPG unification fight. Both men only have one loss this year and both are at the top of the middleweight pile. It’s a true fans fight if you like the middleweights. Murdock has filled the void left by Pat McDermot as the top MW in the world very well and has beaten all comers. Player is the up and comer despite being 30 but only having 19 fights in his career he is very over-matched in the experience department. What he lacks in the experience though he more than makes up with in power and will look to land that big shot to send Murdock out cold. This fight is a dark horse for Fight of the night between both orgs. It is one of those fights that make me glad to be a fight fan. Winner - Murdock vs Player, by the skin of their teeth. Skip Clueless - I have a slight disagreement, i love to see finishes and the big men scrap, if you want a tactical fight i'd pick Murdock vs Player, if you want the KO watch Kable vs Stopper. Now on to the undercard fight, the top undercard billing tonight is a goody. Some might even say it should be the main event. Otso takes on Fox and Bennet takes on Neno in the LHW tourney. Otso vs Fox is a true Evo vs Ascension fight. Otso has been on an up and down career path of late, losing to Gary Bunn before dominating Hector. Fox is also having the same sort of time, dropping his LW crown before defending the featherweight title. It should be a highly entertaining fight between the two legends of the lighter weight classes. On the other side we have the next generation of Light Heavyweights as Neno takes on Scotty, sounds like something i would expect to hear in a Star Trek movie. Now the tale of the tape between the two? Well both guys hit like trucks and both have great chins. Both love the clinch also, its really pretty even between the two fighters. If anything Neno has taken on the tougher competition in his career but Scotty has proven himself against a legend like Sackett. Winner - Scotty vs Neno. Otso vs Fox is a great fight but Scotty vs Neno has millions on it. Stephen BS - I prefer Otso vs Fox, wasn't a fan of the 6 mil tourney, with guys like Womba missing it wasn't the cream of the crop. Now we get onto the next fight on the card which is a close one, Samba takes on Powers for the Heavyweight title and on the other side we have Bunn who takes on Silva. It is once again the big men vs the small men, with both sides having big implications on the respective divisions. Let us start off with Samba as he takes on Powers, It is an interesting match-up between the two. Samba doesn’t have the power that Powers has got but he is the more versatile fighter fighter of the two. On the other hand we have Bunn vs Silva a match up of the best LW as he takes on the best BW in the game. Bunn coming off a recent win over Otso has a lot of momentum but he is against the hard hitting Brazilian Silva who will want to make a statement. The looks of the fighters make me think that Silva has the better skills and better power but Bunn has been a monster since the recent changes. It is a take your pick fight, that the fans will love. Winner – Bunn vs Silva, I think it has the ME status over Powers vs Samba. As much as Samba has been on a roll this year I just think Bunn vs Silva has the star power which both Samba and Powers lack. Skip Clueless – I agree with you on this one both fights though are very similar, a ground fighter vs a stand up fighter with power, it should be interesting in both fights. Now a quick rundown of the rest of the card Taj vs Ernie or Hector vs Sly. All the fighters involved in these fights badly need a win. I am taking Taj vs Ernie in this one. I think both guys hit hard and it should make up for a slobber knocker. Hunt vs Tom or Gracie vs Bickie, this one is a no brainer, Gracie vs Bickie, it’s a unification match and both guys are at the top of their division. Kiedis vs Jung or Power vs Dawkins, another easy one, Dawkins vs Powers is by far the most interesting fight and it also has implications in the Evo fighter of the year with the winner taking on Hector vs Sly. Bunting vs Sweeney 2 or Magri vs Idea, All these fighters will be looking to make an impact here, With most of the fighters being young guns still plenty in the tank for them. I am going to give it to Bunting vs Sweeney because we are more likely to see another brawl. Valentine vs Scott or Chopper vs Lander, err both fights have some value in them, I am gonna give it to Valentine vs Scott despite the fact that it could be a snooze fest with the counter takedowns. Jef vs Jordan or Smokeleaf vs Tritter – have your xmas dinner during this fight, none are really relevant. I give this one out as a tie. So who wins overall, we count it as 5-4 with one draw to Ascension, despite this me and Stephen have agreed that Evo will come out on top in the war. Ascension has put all there superstars into one pot, Evo shows their depth by not struggling to putting on big events weekly, this event will hurt Ascension over the new year period. Poll fixed to see which event you are looking forward to the most, from us at TWW news have a Merry Xmas.
