The season will kick off late April or early May. No ID restriction. Anything below 5.5 will probably be good enough. - 2x5 minute rounds, with whole fight judging if we can get enough fighters to fill a whole card. (trying to limit the draws) -fighters will have a 0/5k/5k contract. -division structure/schedule and playoff format will be finalized once signups are complete. - 2 pts for finish win, 1 pt for decision win and .5 pt for a draw - 1 year VIP for winning manager, 6 months for the runner up and 3 months for third place. We'll be shooting for 20 fighters but any even number over ten is workable.

  4. Who do you guys think is the greatest fighter of all time? If you want you can separate by saying: Best Submission artist, Best wrestler, Best Knockout machine, etc.
  5. Who do you guys think are the most underrated fighters in MMA Tycoon history? I for one think that Tor Nansen and YB Sol are kind of forgotten greats.
  6. TWW News This time I will be joined by the duo of GBK16 and Wolf for this TWW. In this episode I will be giving a rundown of the news that has happened since the last one and the history of Ascension. I am not one for long winded introductions so straight to the news. Mannetosen. Now as you have no doubt heard 100 different versions of why Mr Tosen left the game and you really had to take a mix of the different versions to find out what actually happened. Just to clarify this though first, Mannetosen asked to be deleted; he was not banned or actively forced to leave the game by Mike. If anything the opposite could be said but I’ll get on to that part later on. As most of you guys know Mannetosen left the game last year due to the fact the game was no longer fun for him and he was going through uni, he also had other personal reasons (good reasons) to why he had pretty much no time for the game. Chris Meat asked him on facebook to come back to the game because Meat was planning that 10 vs 10 thing against BHP and thought it might spark some interest back in the game for Tosen. It didn’t pan out however Tosen created some fighters and scoured the FA for some guys just to keep active with. This didn’t take much effort on his part and at the time, so he would hop on and do some shit to keep himself entertained. Now as most people no doubt know Mannetosen likes to poke fun at people; I mean this was the guy who would use his TWW article to rip the piss out of an alliance or a certain person. His preferred method of torture is making what appears to be a trolling comment which is actually on topic and allowing that person to derail their own topic. Now contrary to popular belief Mannetosen was not banned for trolling; actually Marky was the only mod to warn us about it. The only time Tosen did get pissed off at that was when his Super Meat Boy got hidden; however GBK sorted that out as one of his last acts as mod. Mannetosen’s interest in the game started to wavier over the past few months as it does with most people who return to the game as it takes a long time to get back to the top. It had gotten to the stage where to quote the man “setting sliders felt like a chore”; a feeling that most of us at some point will have went through. To summarize his thoughts the game just wasn’t enjoyably anymore. Now most people know that he was fined 30 days VIP which initially didn’t annoy him. However, after some conversations with him it started to annoy him and the tipping point was when Mike was considering allowing Humors to be allowed to play the game. This was Mike’s reasoning behind Mannetosen getting fined was the time it took to create a delete function which I think most people will agree with should have been there in the first place. Humors has taken more of Mike’s time than I think anything else in this game has and considering the amount of people he has managed to piss off really ticked off Tosen. Tosen did send an email to Mike saying give me back my 30 days or delete me, however after a conversation with Mike, Mannetosen made peace with the decision. I tried to convince Tosen to stay, offered him to log into my account and set the sliders for Rinky vs Leo 3 so he could get his revenge but by this point trying to convince him to stay was moot. I mailed him the day he deleted his account and still talk to him on a regular basis including right now while I write this during which he said that he couldn't even tell you a single fighter on his roster which just shows how interested he was in the game. The one thing I want to stress is the fact Mike had no hand in Mannetosen’s decision to leave the game, so Humors can fuck off. Ascension : The History So as we no doubt all know Ascension has been a top three org for the better part of three years. During the history of Ascension it had 4 owners, Skinny Vince, Myself, Crisse and Scott Davies with many other people working and helping run the org. So let’s start from the beginning, Skinny Vince bought a relatively small org known as Pro-Valiance Fighting. This was seen as a step down by some people at his former company Blitzkrieg and it caused him to get a bit of the blame for the fall of the big Blitz org in Hilo by a certain former player. Vince had a vision and rebranded the org Ascension and got to work keeping in some of the talent in the org and bringing in other up and coming talent. The fall of the Blitz Hilo org left a gap in the market for another elite org at the top and Skinny Vince aimed to take that spot by merging with DFC (this could be wrong as it was just before I joined the game) bringing in guys like Offenhard, Holyshit and Royer, merging in Carnage which brought over Yance Sackett and signing top talent from the Blitz Hilo org such as Gentleman Ghost and Sunny Disposition. The acquisition of this top talent with the current talent already in Ascension seen it rise in the ranks to compete with Syn and NFC as the top dogs in the game. As the PPV code was broken by NFC, Vince decided to turn it up another notch and booked the big arena every week for a month. This was seen as one of the biggest risks in tycoon history as far as orgs go; if it failed then Ascension would go down the gutter. This did not happen as Ascension continued to hold 2 and three hour events becoming the top org in the game for the better part of 6 months before NFC and Blitz Rio caught up. Sadly during this time Skinny Vince was heading for the door, he was really burned out and by March I had completely taken over the operations in Ascension, a month later Vince passed the org over to me for nothing. Shiv left the org to run the LoL after a disagreement with who the org got passed to. In this time frame we had managed to sign some big named fighters such as War Machine and Victor Creed from the millionaires tournament and bought UCLA bringing over Richard Dawkins. Ascension then went on to acquire DBC from Shortfuse and IHHU bringing them both on to staff into Ascension and over the next 6 months ran a 3mil tournament and also the latter stages of the LoL. Blitz overall had won the war against NFC as it started to die down but I had found myself being burned out by running the org also by the end of the year Shortfuse and IHHU had took over running the org. While this was happening it was decided that Eminance would merge into Ascension with Crisse and Life taking over control of Ascension. Everything was going smoothly until Life decided to abruptly leave the game and left Crisse alone to run the org. Crisse continued running the org until around about April when he handed the org back to me till I could find someone else to take control of the org. A month later Scott Davies Geezer’s Palace had merged into Ascension with Scott Davies taking control of the org. Scott held the ship steady for the rest of the time making some big merges with UPG: Vegas being one of the biggest to keep the ranks fresh. Scott had an ever revolving door of people helping him with Ascension from Luan to Coton and even myself going back to help. Scott however was clearly being burned out and before Ascension perished had finally decided to merge the org into CEC bringing the end of one of the greatest orgs the game has seen. This was all from a business stand point; as far as the fighters go Ascension had some of the best fighters to grace the game. Victor Creed was fighter of the year going undefeated for the full year, Taj al Din who was there from the start of Ascension would go down as one of the best light heavyweight fighters in the game. Matt Murdock was one of the most underrated fighters the game had ever seen also consistently one of the top middleweights for a year and a half. Danny Power was also an Ascension fighter who made it eventually to the #1 p4p mark. There were numerous fighters really who made Ascension one of the best orgs in the game and their superfight record stood for itself. I would do more on the fighters but I am running short on time and everyone else has finished their parts for the TWW so I will leave it at that. Wolf’s Hole Segment With only 1 month left of the Island and with myself running Solitude the #1 org on the Island, so for my debut on TWW I will give my thoughts on this season of the Island. THE ORGS There has been 5 orgs on the Island so far, but it has wittled down to 4 as the end approaches. Zyd’s org closed down a week ago. At the time of this writing the #4 org is EMMA, who operate SHW, HW and LHW but all of their divisions are very shallow. I’m not really it looks like the owner doesn’t really know what he is doing as he is still struggling to fill out the 1k seaters. The premier org of last season’s Island was without a doubt Highland Games who are currently very successful on the main part of the game, so when Highland Challengers was announced for this season many people probably expected HC to do very well. However, for some reason or another they are constantly #3 in the org rankings. They do have some very successful fighters there but in my humble opinion, they have not lived up to the Highland name. It is well run and my guess for their failings is due to the strong competition from other orgs and the shallow divisions. The top two orgs have interchanged the #1 Island org a few times, but at this moment, The Leftovers are currently #2. It’s a very well run org, owned by Torrelio, and they operate the LHW, MW and WW divisions, with most of their champions #1 in their respective weight classes. I do not have any fighters there but from what I have been told, they offer a very high paying contracts for the island but with no signing bonuses. I feel Torrelio has restricted himself by only having 3 divisions, although they are by far the deepest divisions on the Island, and he obviously knows what he is doing with the numbers for the org which has allowed him to have the success he has had. All in all it looks a good org and if he decides to start up again for the next season I would recommend he open up a few more divisions. Currently #1 is Solitude, and I will probably be horribly biased here as I am running the org. Without trying to come off as a huge cbomb there is not much I can say. I think I run it good, generally the feedback has been mostly good with 1 or 2 cunty managers. The strongest division imo is the LHW division, lots of guys with massive hype and good skills. A few of the divisions in Solitude were/are very shallow, most noticeably the SHW and LW divisions. It seems not many people opted to make a LW fighter as the only other org with a LW division is HC who’s division is also very shallow and top heavy. Our SHW division was always really shallow and I’m not too sure what my reasoning was for opening it. ID Org roundup One of the biggest things in MMA Tycoon right now are ID restricted orgs. Love them or hate them, they have become a staple of MMA Tycoon and provide a platform for fighters to get their career started, and help them to standout amongst fighters of their own age. While the unrestricted orgs are well known by many, it can be a struggle for people to know what is happening in terms of ID orgs, so I am here to give a rundown of the ID orgs and the leading orgs in each level. 200k - 230k These orgs have found their guys hitting the skill cap in 2015, and each of them has been finding a different approach in it. In this ID range, two of them are currently in the top 10 orgs, Insanity 220k at #9 and Troid EP at #10. Both of these orgs have already started with running PPV’s, and have taken a lead over their competition. AMSFC 200k and UNFC 229k are both just behind, but all four orgs hold the power positions in this range, and it will be interesting to see how all of them develop over the coming months. 230k - 260k The highest ranked org in this range is currently Highland Games 257k, although they benefit immensely from the Island hype they have brought off The Island which has seen them begin PPV recently. Outside of their very niche roster, there are some very strong orgs that will be ones to look out for in the future. At 240k, you have LFC Hilo and Legacy both inside the top 20, with Legacy being a relatively new org having set up in July. Imperial 240k is lacking behind at the moment, but could rise with enough effort. USFC 248k is another org that has some exciting talent that can compete at the top one day, and Ring of Violence 255k squeaks into the top 30 orgs worldwide with some good events. 260k+ Currently at 260k, there are 3 orgs that are leading right now. SPI: Helsinki, Tradition Fight Club and Havoc Fighting League are all close right now, and there was recently a rumour that SPI: Helsinki could merge with Havoc but nothing came of that. Havoc has seen La Grande and Executioner merge with them, and recently partnered with EVO and Troid EP, but SPI: Helsinki and Tradition are highly competitive orgs that are battling for supremacy. MMA Gods and Dissolution are among the other orgs in this range, and are not far behind the leading orgs.
  7. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1435258565Ascension332.png Live from Los Angeles 7.19.2015 Ascension 332 Welcome once again all Ascension fight fans, we are here to take an inside look at Ascension 332 which will be the second event on this day as a follow up to Ascension 332.5 and we are hopeful the combination of these two will see us jump back into the top spot in the rankings. We did not have enough time this week to put together 2 previews so we have focussed our attention on the LA show which will be a follow up to Ascension making a stop in London earlier in the day. Both of today's shows are on the heels of Ascension 331 which was a grand event highlighted by the back and forth war between Jameson Connemara and Moe Lester which saw Lester leading on the scorecards 3-1 heading into round 5 and looking to do it once again until running into a right hook followed up shortly thereafter by a brutal uppercut by Connemara to steal the fight, the bragging rights and most importantly for him to retain his Featherweight Title. This event also saw Napoleon Complex work over Jupiter Jones during the first 2 rounds looking to prove this journalist wrong on his prediction fueled by the outcry by manager Baby Face Nelson only to completely run out of gas in round three where he was picked apart and then finally taking a massive overhand right ending his night leaving him to ponder what could have been!! Tonight's show sees us return to sunny Los Angeles and the LA Memorial Colossuseum where like always we expect close to 93,607 screaming fans will be in attendance to take part in this showdown which features a Heavyweight title fight headlining the main card and a #1 contender's showdown that will undoubtedly from Featherweight Jameson Connemara his next dance partner. Bo Juggernaut takes on Sergey Chernov in our Main Event of the evening for the 265 lbs title which will be looking to follow up the war expected between Vanilla Ice Cold and Suren Nazarethyan in our Co Main Event. Here is a quick rundown of what we have in store for you this evening. Main Event - 265 lbs Bo Juggernaut vs Sergey Chernov **Heavyweight title fight** Our main event sees a 265 pound title fight between Bo Juggernaut taking on Sergey Chernov . Juggernaut comes into this one following a brutal KO loss to Andrei Kersikov under the Montreal Fight Nights banner in the middle of June but that was then and this is now and Juggernaut looks to defend his title for the first time. Facing off against him is Sergey Chernov who is currently enjoying a 2 fight win streak and is looking to take out Juggernaut for the second time in his career and grab hold of the Ascension HW gold once again. Having lost 2 of his past 5 yet looking to be an equal match in the standing portion of this one Juggernaut knows what he's up against and will look to use his experience both from the Kersikov fight along with his previous throwdown with Chernov to formulate an effective and winning strategy. His 95% KO rate shows he means business and his opponents know exactly what he will be looking to do however that will be matched by Chernov who not only towers over the much shorter Juggernaut but also holds an unbelieveable 18 KO’s in 18 victories resume. Having only 1 loss in his last 6 fights Chernov looks to steamroll Juggernaut and take back the gold he lost at Ascension 319. Both fighters prefer to end their fights at range however they are both able to work their magic within the clinch as well but we believe this one will mainly be fought at range with both guys mixing up their kicks and punches looking to end the others night with that one brutal blow. During his career Chernov has seen every fight he has entered into end in the same fashion, and on this night we expect nothing less as he regains the title he covets with a second round devastating KO punch ending Juggernauts night and reign as king of the hill. Co-Main Event - 145 lbs Vanilla Ice Cold vs Suren Nazarethyan Tonight's Co main event sets up between a pair of veterans with aspirations of gold on their minds as they look to earn the right to face current Featherweight Champion Jameson Connemara. Ready to wage war in this one is Ascension legend Vanilla Cold Ice who has already held the gold on four separate occasions and believes a win in this one will give him the opportunity to claim it for the 5th time in his career, however opposing him on the other side of the cage is Suren Nazarethyan who has won roughly 75% of his career fights has not had the chance to fight for the gold since his failed attempt early this year under the Evolution banner. Since joining the Ascension roster he has enjoyed 5 wins in 6 appearances and with a 6th victory tonight will get the chance he has wanted since signing on the dotted line! Both fighters come into this one backed by very sturdy chins as each have lost on only 2 occasions which is simply astounding. Ice Cold is the much higher ranked fighter with the most to lose in this one but his high level pedigree will be his key to victory. Having enjoyed T(KO) victories in just over 50% of his career victories Ice Cold doesn't care where the fight takes place, he is ready and has the skills to dominate. Nazarethyan however has shown more success in both the clinch game and on the ground where he has enjoyed a 46% Takedown success rate followed up by an imposing ground and pound attack. Even though Ice Cold has taken 20 victories by way of T(KO) during his storied career over the past 13 fights he has not seen a finish either in the victory or loss department as he has seen his past 13 fights all go to Decision, also factored in is 3 of his past 5 fights have all been against Connemara he will be looking to change up history and finish this one off then move on to attempt to solve the puzzle he has already failed at 2 out of 3 times. Unfortunately for him Nazarethyan has other plans for this evening and will look to continue his quest to see his name placed in the same breath as Ice Cold and will steal this one with a Split Decision victory and earn his spot at the top of the division and his shot at the gold! 170 lbs Agent 47 vs Rustam Kersikov Our third fight of the night is a welterweight showdown seeing Agent 47 taking on Rustam Kersikov. Agent 47 sees action within Ascension for the 3rd time since making the jump to the big leagues on the heels of a 3-1 run with Hilo Fight League and then an even more impressive run of 4-0 in Hardcore Montreal Fighting League. His more experienced opponent Kersikov is currently on a 4-1 run with Ascension while his only defeat was at the same hands of 47’s last opponent Gary Player. Kersikov, the half cousin of Marko Kersikov is currently under the watchful eye of his 3rd management team, and from the recent results in his career whatever changes were made have been working fantastically as he has only experienced 1 defeat in 9 trips to the cage. 47 comes into this one with a history of using his secret weapon at any opportunity, that being his advanced intelligence as he prefers to focus his efforts on the ground and his 6 submission wins account for 50% of his career totals. His 46% takedown success rate doesn't hurt either, as in this game the key is to get the fight to where you hold the advantage and Agent 47 is one of the better young fighters to utilize that theory. Kersikov meanwhile is a talented striker who has pulled back on the power that made him successful early in his career and recently has leaned more on an all around game focussing on grinding his opponents out over a full 15 minutes of action and relying on the judges siding in his favor. I dont believe that tactic will work on this night as Agent 47’s overwhelming takedown abilities will see Kersikov spend far too much time on his back where he does not wish to be, ultimately giving in to a submission by 47 early in round #3. 265 lbs Carlos Cutwood vs Grigori Rasputin Our fourth fight of the main card sees our second heavyweight battle of the main card. This one sees Carlos Cutwood take on Grigori Rasputin in whats like a shot at a six fight win streak for Rasputin while Cutwood looks for his seventh victory in 8 fights. Cutwood moves over to Ascension following a very successful run in historic Org CFC and looks to begin a new chapter in his new home. Having won 23 of his fights by way of T(KO) it isn't difficult to figure out what his gameplan will be, as even though he has enjoyed a 45% success rate on takedowns Cutwood’s bread and butter is his KO power in his fists and even recently enjoying a monster headkick KO. With all that being said staring him down is “The Mad Monk” who not only has a current 5 fight win streak on the go, but even more impressive during it is the fact he has won all 5 by way of finish. Just like Cutwood is, Rasputin is also making his debut under the Ascension banner and is looking to take a step in competition. Rasputin holds a slight Primary advantage in both Boxing and Muay Thai one would wonder if the reach advantage held by Cutwood will come into play in his gameplan. When looking this one over we don’t believe it will and think the 10 KO losses endured by Cutwood will be his undoing in this one as Rasputin will continue his run of finishes early in round 2 with a KO Punch heard round the world! 205 lbs Malietoa Feti vs Nelson Gunn Tonight's final fight of the main card sees what appears on paper to look like a complete squash match between Triple Elite Malietoa stepping in against much less skilled Nelson Gunn. Both men rely heavily on KO finishes as they have enjoyed a better than 75% T(KO) finish rate during both of their careers. Feti is the slightly shorter fighter however he is the heavier fighter in this one which could prove to become a factor carrying the additional 8 lbs around the cage. During the past 5 appearances for Feti he has had a less than stellar 2-3 record which makes tonight an extremely important fight for him if he wishes to remain relevant and on the main card of his future appearance. Gunn meanwhile has won 3 of 5 and was overheard backstage bragging of how he loves being the underdog. Even though he is severely outgunned tonight the chaos driven kamikaze attitude of his notorious manager Mr. J will see Gunn swinging for the fences with only one goal in mind, and when he smells blood he will only become more obsessed with earning the finish. We love a good underdog story and in this one you couldn't ask for a more entertaining script with Gunn ending his drought of finishes by taking out Feti in the third round by way of TKO Cuts Doctor stoppage. Well folks thats all the time we have for the main card, but here is a quick listing of our other fights on this action packed event 170 lbs Azadshatru Singh v Jack Hoffman Singh By Way of TKO Strikes 205 lbs Floyd Johnson v Teukka Salama Salama By Way of Judge's Decision 145 lbs Malcolm Marshall v Itagaki Fukuzawa Fukuzawa By Way of KO Punch 205 lbs Bang Bang v Stan Paige Paige by way of TKO Strikes 170 lbs Akira Azuma v Guy Georges Georges by way of Submission Triangle
  8. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1434337714Ascension331.png Ascension 331 Live from London 07.012.15 Wombley Arena Welcome once again all Ascension fight fans as we are here to preview Ascension 331 which is right on the heels of the ultra successful event Ascension 330 which earned the company a 1003 event rating and put them right back in their rightful spot as the number one Fight Organization in the Tycoon community. Tonight's show takes us to London and the Wombley arena where 93,607 screaming fans are here to take part in this showdown which features two title fights headlining the main card. Both the Featherweight title and the Bantamweight title will be on the line in what looks to be another top heavy show that should keep Ascension right at the top of the hill. Jameson Connemara takes on Moe Lester in our Main Event of the evening for the 145 lbs title which will piggyback the fireworks expecting between Jupiter Jones and Napoleon Complex as they throw down for the right to claim the Ascension Bantamweight title. These 2 fights will easily be the icing on the cake and close out the evenings matchups as we have an action packed lineup from top to bottom. Here is a quick rundown of what we have in store for you this evening. Main Event - 145 lbs Connemara vs Lester **Featherweight title fight** Our main event sees a 145 pound title fight between Jameson Connemara taking on veteran Moe Lester . Connemara comes into this one after defeating Vanilla Ice Cold by split decision back at Ascension 323 and looks to defend his title for the first time while riding a three fight win streak. Facing off against him is veteran Moe Lester who is currently enjoying a five fight win streak and is battling back following some adversity and has reclaimed his glory with a chance now to win the Ascension title for the first time since he beat this very same opponent back June of 2014. Lester will be appearing in his sixth title fight under the Ascension banner and thus far has an unfortunate record of only 1 win to go with four losses meanwhile Conamara will be appearing in his fourth title fight having won two of those three and facing the same opponent in all three. Tonight's action will be the first time he faced someone other than Vanilla Ice Cold to hold the gold in Ascension. Both men have identical primary skill sets and look to be very evenly matched in all aspects of the action. Both of these men appear to have amazingly solid chins as only Lester has succumbed to a KO loss twice in well over 70 fights while Connemara has never felt the sweet taste of defeat by way of KO in over 30 fights during his career. This one looks like it will be a battle to the final buzzer as both men will look to stand and bang each others drum until the ref steps in to put a halt to the action. Having won 11 of his last 12 fights the thinking here is Connemara will continue that run while also achieving two goals he has thus far been unable to follow through on, defeating Lester and avenging the previous loss on his record and more importantly defending his gold which he has failed to accomplish in his previous two attempts. Co-Main Event - 135 lbs Jones vs Complex **Bantamweight title fight** In Tonight's Co main event we see the Ascension Bantamweight title on the line as Jupiter Jones takes on Napoleon Complex. In this one our champion Jupiter Jones holds a slight edge in Muay Thai however is slightly behind when it comes to the wrestling and BJ J game of his opponent Napoleon Complex. This fight will be Jones fifth consecutive title fight in either Ascension or Evolution seeing him fight Rafa Silva to a draw and then losing in his last two appearances for Evo for their Bantamweight belt then jumping to Ascension winning the gold by beating Dan Price and following that up with a victory over Mr. Azure. Jones is now looking to win his third consecutive title fight in Ascension and retain his bantamweight title. On the opposite side of the cage we see Complex taking part in his second title fight within a top three fight organization having lost also too Rafa Silva in EVO then much like Jones leaving for Ascension where he has won two consecutive fights and is now looking to try and get his hands on the gold. Both of these combatants show very similar backgrounds having won just slightly over 50% of their fights by way of TKO and just over 30% by way of the judges decision, both men seem to have solid chins and we are thinking is this one will come down to who comes into this fight with the best game plan and imposed their will on their opponent. Jupiter Jones has shown more of a tendency to take his fights the distance recently whereas Complex has been more for the flair for dramatics with his stylish finishes. However on this night it is our belief that Jupiter Jones will take it by way of split decision victory. 185 lbs Anastasio vs Takala Our third fight is a five round Middleweight showdown seeing Anthony Anastasio taking on Topic Takala. This fight is a rematch of the battle that took place at Ascension 322 where Takala was able to pull off a decision victory over Anastasio. Anastasia has been on quite the run recently having won 12 of his last 13 fights with the only blemish being the title fight loss to Takala back in late May. Similar to Anastasio, Takala has won five of his last six fights with his only loss being in the title fight at Ascension 325 against Neno Pejovsky. Anastasia enters this fight with a huge reach disadvantage seeing himself being 17 cm shorter than challenger Takala but being equal in almost all primary skills other than BJ J. However we don't feel that will come into play in this fight based on previous experience. Anastasia prefers to use the dynamite he is holding in his hands however the chin of Takala has withheld many similar challenges and in over 50 fights has only seen defeat by way of KO on one occasion. If Anastasia can adjust his previous game plan we have a feeling he has the skills to pull this one out but it will be no easy task. This war goes the full five rounds in what could be deemed Fight of The Night with Anastasia pulling off a split decision upset catapulting him right into the title picture near the top of the division. 185 lbs Gustin vs Unit Our fourth fight of the main card sees another middleweight battle take place between Melvin Gustin and Doom Unit. This will be the fifth fight in Ascension for Melvin Gustin who has enjoyed a two and two record thus far with his losses coming against both fighters previously mentioned in flight number three Anthony Anastasio and Topi Takala. Gustin likes to mix in some leg and body kicks however he relies mostly on his punching ability having seen 12 of his 23 fights end in TKO stoppages. Facing off against him his doom unit who has enjoyed somewhat roller coaster ride within the Ascension banner having seen him lose just as many fights as he has won. Unit has enjoyed a slightly more active career and has shown slightly better chin and we feel that this will be the main ingredient that will ensure his victory on this night. Doom Unit will prove to be just a little too much for Gustin to handle and will take this one by way of unanimous decision. 185 lbs Avitan vs Seppala Tonight's final fight of the main card sees yet another middleweight fight between Yossi Avitan taking on Henka Seppala. This matchup sees Avitan come in with a distinct streaking advantage while Seppala has the better ground game. Both fighters have lost two of their past three and are fighting to remain relevant in the Ascension 185 lbs division. Avitan brings great KO power to the cage along with a solid looking chin however in recent times he has relied more on going the full three rounds and placing his fate on the judges scorecards to earn the victory rather than trying to finish his fights. To drive this point home over his last 12 appearances he's only enjoyed two finishes. Standing in Avitans way is Seppala who has enjoyed a 50% take down rate even though he only tries one and a half per fight and thinking is here if he gets his way to the ground that's where he'll try to keep it in order to maximize his ground skill advantage. But even with all that said that doesn't mean that he's going to try straight out of the gates to go to the ground as he has shown even in his last fight that he's not afraid to stand and bang and wear his opponent down either at range or within the clinch and then take advantage of a late takedown to score more points and earn the decision victory. Avitans recent cautious approach though a strong game plan could pose to be his undoing in this one as Seppala could prove to be just a little too much to handle over the entire 15 minutes and instead we believe he will look to expose the reach advantage he enjoys over Seppala and earn himself a 2nd round T(KO). Well folks thats all the time we have for the main card, but here is a quick listing of our other fights on this action packed event 185 lbs Eliod Bunkley Iii v Tim Poutsi Tim Poutsi By Way of TKO Strikes 205 lbs Dragon Warfist v Tyson Jacobs Dragon Warfist By Way of Judge's Decision 135 lbs Alfredo Torres v Andrey Tutov Alfredo Torres By Way of Judge's Decision 145 lbs Sirodom Kingchanklao v Cletus Landry Cletus Landry by way of KO Punch 145 lbs Craig Clendennon v Lester Green Lester Green by way of Judge's Decision
  9. A little over five and a half years ago, back in June 2009, a certain Jason "JBOMB" Smith set upon his path into the MMATycoon world, going on to compete in over 750 fights and pulling off over 500 victories. Around a year later in July 2010, I myself, Dirk Copeland would also enter into my Tycoon career, taking part in well over 800 fights and also notching up the 500 victory milestone. However, despite a record spanning a combined 10 years and over 1600 fights, these two men have never faced each other......... until now! On 8th February 2015, Ascension's latest event will see two men collide, finally pitting the Copeland camp and JBOMB's misfits against one another as Miguel Fernandez, a brutal knockout artist with the chin of a porcelain tea cup, goes one on one with the legendary icon Rolen Spliffs, a true first in MMA history. A press conference was held earlier today by Dirk Copeland, Miguel Fernandez and Mitch McDonald who gave their views on the recent announcement. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/manager_avatars/1388891703tomselleck.jpg vs http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/manager_avatars/1419101509MMATProfile.png Dirk Copeland / Jason JBOMB Smith Fights: 827/778 Wins: 534/508 Losses: 277/259 Draws: 16/11 Best Rank: 3/3 Current Rank: 227/371 http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/13/13b10.jpg vs http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/13798210637123.jpg Miguel Fernandez / Rollen Spliffs Fights: 40/84 Wins: 26/59 Losses: 14/23 Draws: 0/2 Knockouts: 23/48 Best Rank: 58/18 Current Rank: 973/928 Reporter 1: Hi guys, I've got a question for Dirk Copeland. Dirk, how does it feel to finally square off against JBOMB for the first time after such a long time in the game? DC: It's fun, it's exciting. I've seen and done a lot in the Tycoon World and some days it can almost become a little repetitive. It's nice to have something new like this which can still make you excited. I honestly smiled when I checked my inbox and got news of the fight. Reporter 1: So what's your views on JBOMB? DC: I really respect him as an opponent which is why I'm looking forward to finally facing off against him. He's very much a no nonsense manager, he'll fight anyone any time, is a lot better than he'll have you'll believe and although he puts out the notion he doesn't care whether he win's or loses, deep down you know he does. Reporter 1: Do you think there's any particular reason why it's taken so long for you guys to square off? Mitch McDonald: JBOMB's ducking us, he aint shit! Reporter 1: Umm interesting Mitch but I'd like to hear Dirk's views on the matter. Also Dirk, why is Mitch joining us today?7 DC: Sorry about that, Mitch just loves a bloody good press conference and he doesn't have a lot else to do these days, just humour him. As for the first question I think it's just down to circumstances, JBOMB was a year ahead of me and was in the mix with a lot of the top guys in top orgs, it took me a while to get on his level. After that we were often in different orgs and different weight classes etc, combined with both of us taking time out of the game, we just never crossed paths Reporter 2: So let's move on to the fight, Dirk what's your views on JBOMB's representative in the bout, Rolen Spliffs? DC: Well much like his manager it's great to be taking on one of the legend's in the game. He's 43 years old and been there and done it all. He's competed in some of the biggest orgs in the history of the sport all over the world, knocking out foe after foe, capping it all off with his first major title last year. Reporter 2: Those are some kind words, moving on to your guy Dirk, how do you feel about Miguel Fernandez's chances in the upcoming fight? MM: He's a bloody chinless has been/never was, you should bloody let me come out of retirement and take a swing at old Spliffy. DC: Calm down Mitch, why don't you go checkout the free bar we put on out back, they've got some Guinness I hear. *Mitch MCDonald exits the stage.* DC: So anyway, let's talk about Miguel. It's no secret about his weakness, he can't take a shot there's no denying that, he's in for the biggest fight of his life when he takes on Rolen. Make one thing for sure though, as long as Miguel's standing he's always in with a chance and he can knock any man out, he'll be coming in guns blazing, Reporter 3: Hi Miguel, I'd like to hear about your view on the fight and also how you feel about your manager speaking so openly about your chin troubles? Miguel Fernandez: Hell there's no point getting pissed off about it all, everybody knows I have no chin, hell I got knocked out twice this morning before breakfast, those stairs can be tricky! I know I'm stepping into the cage with one of the biggest power punchers in the history of the sport and I might never make it out alive but you can be safe in the knowledge that I'll be trying to take his head off for as long as it lasts.
  10. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/company/logo/1360138617asclogo2h.png ASCENSION'S NEW BREED TOURNAMENT - SEASON 1 Ascension is glad to present a new series of tournaments called New Breed. The idea of this series is to hold tournaments with ID restrictions for some of the top guys around that division in an specific weight class. We've seen a good amount of new bucks coming over to big orgs and doing just fine and we wanted to give some of those that haven't reached that spot (or those who are already around there) a fair tournament and a opportunity to make history. The concept of each season is to pick a ID restriction that's not too young yet not too old. Weight classes will rarely be decided before the sign up as we don't want to cut the chances of some fighters just because of his weight. This is a open trial. If you have a fighter that matches the ID restriction and you wanna give it a try, you should follow the example that will be down below this thread. So let's go for the last specific details of the first season: - The ID restriction for this season will be 160k. - You just have to say the name of the fighter you want to sign up and the name of the weight classes he can fight. Note: There won't be huge differences in weight regarding this tournament. If your fighter can cut down to the weight classes you listed, he's 100% guaranteed as a possible contestant for the division. If he doesn't, then we'll decide if he can fight in that specific division in case we choose it. e.g: Fighter A weights 149 pounds and wants to fight at 170. That's probably not gonna happen (21 pounds is a little bit too much) but he could fight from 135 to 155 with no problem. Another one is a fighter that weights 210 pounds and would fight at heavyweight (considering most guys would weight higher, the weight limit for 265 is 225 pounds). We wanna be fair to the contestants and avoid some of the big differences regarding that aspect. Height won't be considered as a factor. - Fights will be contested between 16-21 days from each other (looking to avoid injuries/cuts as a possible disadvantage for someone in that position). In case everybody's healthy within 14 days, we can discuss booking the events earlier than that but nobody will fight injured. - This season will feature 16 fighters from a TBD weight class that will fight in a knockout tournament. Currently the fights will be decided by random draw and then the bracket will be decided by another draw in which we'll choose numbers for each fight and then randomly draw numbers so the positions of the fights are determined. If managers want to, the next 2 rounds could be decided by another draw (either fights being decided by that or just the fights positions for the quarter finals and semi finals). - The prize for this season will be $4 Million! - Starting date will be determined when the fighters and the weight class are chosen. The rest is up to you. Good luck!
  11. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/company/logo/1360138617asclogo2h.png Ascension - 3 Year Anniversary Week Ladies and Gentleman, it's our pleasure to start the countdown to the biggest and most special week for Ascension in the year and definitely one of the biggest weeks of the game. We're approaching the anniversary of Ascension and we'd like to honor the organization's tradition of hosting a special event on the date. Everyone knows that Ascension is one of the biggest orgs in the game and always provide big cards when they're available. It's no different than now. On March 9th we'll host the 3 year anniversary event. It's a big event that will feature some of the top names of the world. Before that we'll start the celebration with a special event that will be an appetizer for what's coming on March 9th. So we'd like to give a change for those interested in taking part of this big week to manifest through this thread or via PM to any staff member about a chance to fight in this event and March 5th with the pre-anniversary card. We'll feature the majority if not all of our champions between both cards but we know that it's an important date and we should display space for other big names of the game and also fighter that have an history with the organization would be great to see back in it for a special fight. Legends we can't even mention. It's an honor for the org to once again host a fight for one of it's legends. Some of our current champs (or eventual new champs after title fights) already have possible #1 contenders they'll fight at either one of these events but there will be others available for super fights as well as superfights between fighters from different orgs. We'd like to thank the support of our loyal managers and I would like to give a special thanks to the whole crew there. Ascension's determined to keep the standard pattern of great fights for the fans and you can count on us for the future just the way it was done in the past. Thanks! http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/company_banners/1360138617ascbanner2.png
  12. http://mmatycoon.com/images/company/logo/1360138617asclogo2h.png This tournament will be short, sweet and to the point. You win and you get buckets of cash. Anything less than that and you walk home empty handed. Depending on signups this tourney will be 16 man for 5M or 32 man for 10M. Whichever way this goes, I think we can agree that ain’t no chump change. Details - Fights will take place in the LHW division - Fights will take place every 16-20 days. This ensures no one fights injured. - Single Elimination - When you lose you’re out. - Contracts will be 10k across the board. - Draws - Will be decided by a panel of 3 community members. Judges will be Ezekel Rage, Roger Kint and Sean McDonnel. - p4p is King - Fighter rank is given top priority. For example, a rank 3000 fighter signs up. If 16-32 other fighters ranked higher than 3000 want in the tourney, that rank 300 fighter gets bumped. 13. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/37/37a3.jpg Vs http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/13808292985524.png p4p 49 - "Far" Ken Oath - 20-5 (19 via KO) p4p 2 - Carl "Crusher" Creel - 33-7 (29 via KO) In a weeks time fight fans from around the MMA Tycoon world are going to be treated to another Superfight involving 2 heavyweight superstars. Stu PIdasol's Ken Oath fresh off his demolition of former p4p champion Don Marciano will take on the the current number 2 and former number 1 fighter in Carl Creel. The fight is headlining Ascensions Lorde card. Ken Oath riding a 9 fight winning streak that has seen him shoot up through the ranks of the most stacked division in the MMA game. This is to be the biggest test of Oath's career as Creel hasn't lost a fight in his last 14. Both fighters have the ability to end the fight in one sickening blow, the 1 difference between the 2 is that Oath's chin has been his achilles heel throughout his career. Reporter: Ken, hows it all going we haven't heard much from you since the demolition of Don Marciano? Oath: I'm going great, there is nothing quite lke beating a fraud senseless. Speaking of Marciano have you seen who he is fighting next? The reporter does a quick scan of the MMA fight schedule.... Reporter: WTF.. Marciano the former king of the game is fighting some bum that has lost almost as many has he has won?? Oath: Hahaha.. Yeah I know, it's hilarious. Marciano reminds me of Austalia's Anthony Mundine.. Lots of talk, spoon fed opponents and no talent. But enough about that scrub. Reporter: I thought you might like to get a couple of digs in before we got your thoughts on Creel. Oath: Well you know me well. As for Creel, he is going to be tough opponent, but look at him, he's nothing more than a poor mans version of Marciano, slightly taller, slightly lighter, has no ground game and doesn't posses the same power of Marciano. Reporter: I never really thought of it like that.... Oath: Well I don't think many people would, so don't feel too bad, you're just like the majority of fight fans, you see a name, you see a manager and you jump to conclusions. Reporter: Well to be fair, many have said Templeton is the greatest manager of heavyweights and probably fighters the MMA world has seen. Oath: He may very well be, but that doesn't mean that once his fighters step into the cage they are unbeatable, people freeze up because of they think oh no it's one of Lance Templeton's fighters his reputation beats people before the fight even takes place.. Me I couldn't give a shit about who he is, what he has acheived. All I care about is coming out there and catching Creel early. I'm going to turn his lights out by the 3:25 mark of the first round. Reporter: You're now not only predicting a KO victory you're going to predict the time it happens as well, you sure you aren't biting off more than you can chew? Oath: No... Creel has enjoyed his time at the top, but his reign at the is gong to come crashing down at my hands. He won't fall as far as Marciano has but he will fall. Creel, my one piece of advice to you..... Enjoy it while it lasts.
  14. TWW News Hi guys Tim here with another edition of TWW news. This week in the Tycoon World we have a huge story regarding Scott Davies. We also go to the debate desk with Stephen BS and Skip Clueless as they discuss the legacy of Otso Jokinen. We have the risers and fallers in the tycoon world and also the rising stars section so lets get to the new exlusive breaking news we have first. IS SCOTT DAVIES A SHADY GUY? We at TWW news were shocked to the core with this scandal that has recently came about. Cage Wars Hilo owner Cliff Biff recently went on holiday and left his account to Scott. Cliff thought Scott being a long time friend of his was trustworthy enough to look after his org and make sure it runs smoothly during his time away. Little did he know that Scott would stab him in the back. When Cliff came back he noticed that fighters in his org had gone missing including a few of Scotts. He read through his messages that had been sent out about this. He noticed Scott had mailed his top fighters telling them that Cliff had quit and that they should join Ascension. This comes at a time where Ascension is struggling for fighters. We at TWW news have noticed over the past few months that they have booked more arenas than they can fill. This was blamed on CEO Luan who promised to get these cards filled and that everything would be ok. This as we have found out is not the case with some Ascension cards having less than 10 fights on the card. So we have the motive for doing this now. Ascension is struggling to sign new talent. Now with the recent news that they could be merging with UPG? This news station feels it has to give people the story. Cliff Biff also spilled the beans on Scott Davies selling 8mil in game cash to Steel Penn for the sum of 100 bucks. As much as this is not illegal but is frowned apon in the Tycoon Community selling game cash for real cash and not VIP. It has also cost Cliff vast sums of money to rebuild the org. So please if you have spare fighters spare a thought for Cliff and the struggles he is going through to rebuild his org. So how do you feel about what has happened here? Has this shocked you as much as it has us at TWW News? Vote and leave your comments below. OTSO JOKINEN BETTER THAN TONAL? Skip Clueless - Ok lets face a few facts here first. Tonal was a legend. A great fighter who was loved by many. His record speaks for itself. 49 and 7. Still fighting at the top level at Evo. Taking superfights now and beating everyone they are to beat. Tonal only managed 35-8. Otso is clearly now ahead of Tonal in the GOAT rankings. He had a 19-0 run. Best Tonal ever had was 16-0. I think its fairly cut and dry. Otso is the GOAT of Tycoon. Not just the GOAT lightweight. Stephen BS - Oh dear lord this is blasphemy. I cannot believe the words that are coming out of your mouth. Otso better than Tonal what the hell you smoking Skip? Otso cannot hold a candle to Tonal. Look at the guys he fought in NFC. Not exactly the top lightweights out there at the time. He ducked my boy Christian Slaughter. Tonal fought the best of the best period. Otso not so much. Skip Clueless - So wait a minute Stephen you are saying that everyone he fought was cans? Otso ducked Slaughter it was more like Slaughter wouldn't fight in the NFC. If Slaughter really wanted that fight he would have went to the NFC. Thing is though he didn't. He never wanted that fight. We all know that and no one blames Jbomb for not. Tonal did fight some of the best i have to agree but he went out on losses. Back to back losses if i am not mistaken. He also lost to a guy named William King who need i forget to tell you lost 4 fights in a row after beating him. Tonal is no doubt a legend but Otso has surpassed him now. Pass over the torch Mr Tonal. Stephen BS - You opened this can of worms Skip. Lets not forget Otso lost to some guys who shall we say aren't top dogs. Lets not forget he lost to guys such as Danny Power and Gomi. Both guys are reasonable fighters but should never have beaten anyone at the top. Otso yeah he has hammered more recently top of the tree fighters but his record is padded by so many mid tier fighters its unreal. He is a legend and no doubt the best Lightweight the game has ever seen but to go as far as saying he is better than Tonal? I think you have lost your mind again Skip. FIGHTERS STOCK EXCHANGE Michael Patton - Opa now has the two top LW's in the game. Patton has been in the shadow of Otso in his career but has now made a stake to try and become the #1 Lightweight. The former 135 and 145 pounder could move down a division or up a division to try and claim the top spot since a fight with Otso is out the window. For now though he is the gate keeper in Evo to get a shot at Otso. Samor Kanen - Another top LHW from the Karter camp. Who recently enjoyed a win against the GAMMA LHW Champion. Its a long standing tradition for Convicted guys to beatdown GAMMA champions and this is another case of this. Kanen is a champion in his own right at Vendetta. The knock out artist next opponent is yet to be announced but no doubt will be against another top 10 LHW. Kostas Charalabous - Not exactly changed his stock but its worth noting this top 10 fighter. With a record of 23-3 with 20 knock outs he is not to be taken lightly. Now in the prime of his career he is kicking ass and taking names. With a very impressive knock out of Dante it appears Kostas could take it to another level. He still have a few years left in the tank and he is one we will be watching closely for next year. Instead of fighters on the decline we have decided to show fights to look forward to in the next week. Daniel Speed vs Smokudju Womba Two of the top LHW's go toe to toe as we see Speed take on Womba. Speed has been highly regarded by many of the pundits and fighters a like as the next big thing in the LHW division. After losing his first fight in Evo to Ryo Narushima, Speed looks to beat the man who beat the man by defeating Womba. Womba who recently got his red belt from the ganja smokers of Algeria will be hoping its another day at the office. Score the takedown, get the guy in his guard and throw up submissions at the rate of knots. The winner of this fight secures the #1 spot at LHW. Maybe a future fight with Ascension LHW champion al Din awaits? For Speed it looks like he will be entering the 5mil tourney. Taj al Din vs AJ Hearts All the LHW's are on show this week. This is a case of the #2 and #3 LHW squaring off. Its a classic striker vs grappler match up with both guys having great chins but it is Taj with the KO power. It is also Taj out looking to avenge his falling team mate Moses Diggs. It will be a battle of where it takes place. Many feel as though that al Din will be able to break Hearts jaw. The fight takes place in SPFT on the 19th. It is one to have spoilered and sit back and enjoy the action. The Rising Stars This week we are gonna take a look at the top 3 up and comers from the ITFL 2. James Burke - The Middleweight/Welterweight is a perfect 4-0 in the ITFL this year. Not the most highly skilled fighter for his age but makes up for it with slick submissions and some great gameplanning. It also helps when you are blessed by the Gods and have a chin made of granite. Has not really shown much power this far of his career but when you can dominate like him then why else would you need to do anything else? Colin Croft - A light heavyweight by trade and a perfect build. With the skills, chin and power he looks like a real force in the ITFL. Now 6-0 in his career could go undefeated in the ITFL. So far he has yet to really face a test in the ITFL apart from Zell Griever the only man he has not finished in his career. As the tourney continues he will face tougher opponents but at the moment he looks like the man to beat. Tigran Badoyan - The biggest man in our power 3. The heavy handed brawler is a perfect 4-0 also in the ITFL and 8-1 in his career so far making him the most accomplished fighter out of all of our guys here tonight. Tigran will be a force because of his weight and power could crack some of these smaller granite chinned fighters which will be interesting to see if he can do that. The ITFL will be showcasing some of the top young fighters out there but tonight we only have time for 3. We also have to put out tonight that the Gale Hawthorne investigators have came up trumps. Sadly we cannot report on this as it is a lot bigger than we originally thought. We thought he was just CBD'in it. Turns out it could be a lot worse.
  15. What’s Different? - Events Instead of holding this in one org, the heads of Evolution, Synchronicity, and Ascension have come up with a new format. Each of the orgs mentioned will host events for the specified divisions. Evolution will host events for 145, 170 and 265. S ynchronicity will handle events for 155, 185, 265+. Ascension will cover 135 and 205. -Medals Will still largely be the same, individual tourney with fights happening like so, 1 v 8, 2 v 7 etc. 1st place gets gold, 2nd silver, and 3rd will get bronze. Managers and Org awards will still be awards based on points. Everything else about the tourney will remain the same for the most part.. Fighters still compete for medals. http://img28.imageshack.us/img28/3554/m38d.png Fighter Signups Each Division will have 8 spots available to the top 8 ranked fighter in that weightclass Depending on interest level this could be increased to 16 but for now it will be open to only 8. Each fighter that signs up will need to declare which Org they are representing. (just like Athletes represent their respective country in the real Olympics) Declaring an Org isn't mandatory, a fighter can be independent and fight w/o repping an org. Signups are located in Post #2. Matches All non medal fights will be 3 rounds with 5 minute fights except when in medal fights. All medal fights will be 5 rounds 5 minute fights. Contracts will be 10k base and win Schedule First round will start early to mid November. Rounds will take place every two weeks after that. How The Medals Will Work There will be three sets of medals awarded, for fighters, managers, and orgs. Individual medals will be awarded to fighters based on finishing 1st, 2nd or 3rd in each weightclass tourney, medals for managers will be based on the original point scoring system, and Orgs will have medals won by the fighters representing them tallied as if they were each a seperate country like in the real Olympics. Points Each fight will result in a KO, Submission, Decision/Split/Majority Win and Draw. After all the fights have been completed all points will be tallied up. KO or Submission = 3 points , Dec Win = 2 points , Draw = 1 and No Contest = -1 for offender, +1 for opponent Location Location for the 2013 games will be based in London for Evolution events and LA for Synchronicity and Ascension events. Prizes Fighters & Managers - Medals along with the bragging rights of being the best. 17. http://img191.imageshack.us/img191/4736/axbt.png On September 6th Yance Sackett will defend his title against Taj al Din. It’s their 5th fight and this time it seems to be even closer than ever before. Featured on the card we have Danny Power defending his title against the $4 Million Featherweight tournament champion Waru Kuzuri. This is our 1st Primetime show and we’re glad to present it to you. You’ll get the change to know the fighters more than simply 2 guys that enter a cage and face each other. The stories behind it, the struggles to become a champion. All of it here on Ascension Primetime. Sackett vs. al Din http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/3808/24d3.png Sackett had some ups and downs in Ascension and after a fight in CWFL, he came back much better and he won fights decisively. But he lost that fight. It was a tough time for him… Yance: Yeah, I had a few fights that weren't some of my proudest moments. Those were tough times for my camp. There was a lot of trouble in the Tycooniverse those days. I don’t know if it was in the water or the cage or what. Guys were getting KO'd all over the place. The final straw was after War Machine got KO'd by Budo. Barnabas came into camp and told everyone to get in the cage. He came in last, locked the door and threw the key back out. He cussed us up and down for about an hour until we were all fired up and ready beat him senseless. That's when he said "All right bitches, who wants a shot at the old man?" War Machine took a swing and Barnabas ducked under it, then cracked him with an uppercut that lifted him in the air and dropped him out cold against the cage. We all froze for a split second, looked at each other and then all hell broke loose. Luciano Halo tried to body kick him but he was already in the air about to land the superman punch that KO'd Bubba Clem. Mickey O'Neil caught him with a solid shot to the temple right as Jimmy Snuka Kicked him in the ribs but he was still able to round kick Arudo breaking his jaw. I guess my gameplan for the next ten fights wasn’t exactly rocket science. I was pissed that Barn had walked out and I went balls to the wall in most my fights throwing full power and aggression into each one. I didn’t care if I won or lost, I just wanted to pound on people. Most ended in quick KO's but unfortunately sometimes the guy lying on the ground was me. After the Soprano fight I realized I was getting up in age, as far as fighters go, and that I better get my shit together if I want to make one last run at number 1. I'm usually much more controlled in the cage than I was being. I look at fighting like a chess match and just going in to try and knock people out isn’t my game. Sure feels good though. I talked to Barnabas and we started forming a new camp. It was just me and Mickey up until that point but Barn brought Tyrel back and got us some decent trainers to help out. We took over the BHP Vegas gym and have slowly been putting the pieces back together. After a few fights I found myself in line for a title shot against Al Din. I had already beaten him twice but also had been KO'd by him back when the shit was hitting the fan. Al Din is one of the toughest fighters in Tycoon history. He has been ranked as high as number 4 and has been in the top 10 for at least a year it seems like. I wasn’t sure how that fight was going to go so I trained my ass off for it and it paid off with me getting the belt back. I'd be lying if I didn’t say all his shit talking really pumped me up too. After facing Tony Soprano, Sackett only lost once. Amazing performances followed and even his loss against Narushima was something controversial. It seems that the rematch is on Sackett’s eyes but first, he needs to face Taj al Din for the 5th time. Yance: I was lucky to get a win in that Mcthornbody fight. I came in flat and he was really handing it to me. It's a good thing I like to swing for the fences, just wish I could have done that against Ryo. Ryo is a beast who throws with power AND accuracy. I expect to see him near the top for a while. With that said, it was a very close fight and I would love a rematch if the opportunity presents itself someday. For now, I gotta deal with defending my belt against Taj, AGAIN. Al Din has been saying I'm scared of him for at least a year. Nothing new there. He already has 3 losses to me so how scared can I really be? After I took the belt from him the first time he wanted 2 out of 3. He won the second and I won the third but then he wanted 3 out of 5. I won the third and now he wants it to be out of 7. Well, here you go Taj, fight number 5. If you take a look at the guys I fought instead of Al Din, I think it’s pretty hard to make a case that I was ducking him. Oh, has anybody looked at the fighters he was beating in order to earn a rematch with me? Not exactly the top 10 guys I was facing. Who is scared of what? Good luck to ya Taj! http://img89.imageshack.us/img89/2976/qxl3.png Taj al Din is not the typical fighter. He has degrees in Herbology, Biology, Botany, Astronomy, History, Hydrology and Psychology. He’s an outspoken public advocate of marijuana and that’s not all of it. He also had an interesting childhood in Tasmania. Taj: I was born and raised in Taroona, on a farm-like residence next to the ocean. I was taught to be appreciative of everything you have in life, and to never take your health and good fortune for granted. I managed to provide a substantial income for myself since my early teens, utilizing my skills in hydroponics and herbology. The income provided a roof over the heads of my family, kept more than enough food on the table, and paid for my training at the gyms. Finding my path, my pursuit of happiness, was a journey down a road that lacked stability. The direction wasn't always clear and the future wasn't always promising, but eventually I found the light and ran with it. I put my heart into MMA and a lot of hard work, blood, sweat, and tears later, here I am today. Taj al Din is on a 4 fight win. It started with a strange cut stoppage in the trilogy against Kurokawa Kenji but then he got some solid performances against tougher competition. He faced guys he never fought before and now he’s back as #1 contender. Al Din is considered a legend and has accomplished everything in Ascension, so how would this fight be different than any other he had? Taj: I want to be the champion. I am very ambitious. I strive to be the best... There are times in your life that you must fall before you rise. There will be intervals of your career when fighting is as mentally arduous as it is physically. The mentally strong prevail and the weak falter. If you do not have the fortitude and will to preserve focus, confidence, and motivation, your foundation will crumble. I have committed over a decade of my life to the art of combat and I have conquered all mental aspects of Mixed Martial Arts. You cannot pollute your mind with uncertainty or you will be indecisive and hesitate. I have exerted every ounce of energy into preparation for this moment. I am elated to be in this position, to contend for the title, but I expected to be here. The last time they fought, Sackett dominated the fight and with that al Din is 1-3 against Sackett. With 4 fights in their past, both fighters wonder what kind of surprises their foe can present… And also what kind of surprise they can show on fight night. Taj: In our last fight he landed two sadistic kicks to the nuts. If there's one thing I learned, it's that you don't want to get kicked in the nads by a Sackett - it can drain the essence of your life right out of you. It appears that he has my number but I'm going to bombard him with a bit of everything. I am aware that he will try to counter to take me down but I will be prepared for that. I know he's full of surprises. Never underestimate what a Sackett has in his bag of tricks. Taj said many times that Yance was ducking this fight while the champion said that the guys al Din faced were way weaker than those he faced since then. Taj: I am very competitive, defeat is unacceptable, and victory is expected of me. But life isn't about how many times you get knocked down - it's about how many times you get back up. The expectations for Convicted Fight Club fighters are elevated and the walls are decorated in title belts and championships. We know what it takes to be champion, and we have been very vocal about my disappointing performances against Yance. We learn from defeat, we move on, and I progress as a fighter and a human being. Yance is a tough fighter but I will validate my resilience. He says he fought better competition since our last bout, but when you are the champion that's what you should expect. You should expect to face tougher competition when the belt is on your waist. When you're no longer the champ, you just work on climbing back up the latter. You have to earn your way back to the top by defeating other contenders. I've been very fortunate to receive another opportunity against the current champion - I am thankful for it - but I feel that I have earned it. http://img845.imageshack.us/img845/3582/pswx.png So what can both fighters say about fighting? The aspects of training during weeks and leaving it all up for just one fight, one cage and how does that affect them? Sackett: Fighting is just something I grew up doing. There are a lot of extended family Sackett's and we get together often. When a bunch of Sackett's get together they always want to see who the toughest one is. Some families throw horseshoes at reunions, we like to throw punches and kicks. Sackett's don’t seem to be able to walk away from a fight. If a man wants to take his disagreement to the next level I am happy to throw the first punch to get that party started. If a man feels he can beat me I think he should know he's wrong. I don’t need to be angry to fight like some guys. I look at it more like a chess match. What are my strengths, my opponent’s weaknesses and how can I use that to my advantage. I'm used to fighting family and cousins and such so fighting is more about proving who the better man is that day. I should add, there is not much that feels as good as landing a solid punch to the jaw of my opponent and watching his eyes roll back in his head as he falls to the canvas. Taj: Fighting is many things and has many meanings. The answer to that question is complex but the reality of it can be simplified. Fighting is a job. Ascension is my employer. To fight, is to work. It's become a means of survival, a way of living. But is that why I fight? No, of course not. For me, it's competition. It provides a liberation of negative energy. By the time you step into the cage to fight, you have a lot of emotions bottled up inside of you. For me, the fight becomes a pacification of the mind and a release of testosterone. To compete against another Mixed Martial Artist directly is the ultimate challenge for our sport. You must be competitive to be successful. You must enjoy competition. The most successful people in the MMA industry, from fighters, managers, and org owners, are the most competitive. Despite my competitive nature, when I am in the cage or ring I maintain a state of tranquility. I won't fight with a mind clouded by emotions, or blinded with rage. And with the fight coming soon, what do they expect to come after many years of fighting? Sackett: I feel after this fight as after most fights these days against Karter's fighters we'll get together and smoke a ton of the killer weed they always have. I feel strong enough to fight for a while so win or lose, I'm not going anywhere just yet. All I have to say to my opponent is Good luck Taj. Taj: I intend on making the answer to that question, defending the title. I am focused on the present and I can't afford to make the same mistakes I have made in the past by overlooking Yance Sackett. He's an elite fighter and he deserves the utmost respect, he can't be underestimated. Regarding the remaining duration of my career, I am strong enough to continue fighting for many years but I don't intend to. I've succeeded in this sport and my management has done a sensational job of reassuring that I have been financially compensated, so inevitably in the future I will settle down and retire in my home of Tasmania. I could get used to watching the sun set, burning some the finest herb on the planet. Yance Sackett - win, lose, or draw - you have more than earned my respect. You may have won the battles, but I have every intention on winning the war. Good luck, and stay healthy.
  18. Somehow it became a double topic. Please do not consider this one. You can close/delete this thread. Thanks.
  19. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/company/logo/1360138617asclogo2h.png You might remember this tournament idea from a few weeks ago. It was canceled for specific reasons that were to be announced. So it's finally time and even though some of you already know it, we're going to announce it. The tournament was canceled because Scott received a PM from Dean Sutherland about taking Ascension as he was leaving it. Scott took me with him to Los Angeles for the reunion regarding this decision. Scott accepted it and we were thinking about what to do next. There was no doubt about moving over to LA but should we keep it as Ascension or change the name? Geezers: The Ascension, Ascension: Geezers... Turns out that the merge between Ascension and Geezers Palace will be named: Ascension. Yeah, nothing changed. The group decided to keep it's name but to make sure to have a last event as the former Ascension and a new one as the future arrives. Another reunion decided that Roger Kint should stay as he always rocked with his designs and he's also a big member in the history of the organization and with him Big Boss keeps the team strong. And with everything already decided, May 31st marks the last Ascension event as you know it. Even though we already managed it starting with the Bad Blood event, Ascension's official new chapter will begin after The Last One event. We hope to have your support from now on So it's time to announce our first move to bring back life to our lighter divisions. We will start a $4 Million Tournament with a weight limit of 145 lbs. 20. http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/5886/ogss.png That's right, folks! Ascension's back with its Bantamweight division! We decided that the best way for it right now would be to develop a ID restricted division with every fighter that was above the ID 200k. We're looking for all sorts of talent to fill this division at get it rolling. As soon as we reach a good amount of fighter, depending on their skills and all stuff, we might create a tournament to crown our new champion. We're just waiting for all of your young bucks coming over to fight in one of the biggest organizations in the game. More informations you can look for the main director of the division: Jamie Coton That's all and thanks for the attention http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/company/logo/1360138617asclogo2h.png
  21. Have you ever thought to yourself, ''If so and so worked with each other, instead of against one another, they would be unstoppable" or "This would be a dream matchup, too bad they are apart of two companies who will never work with each other." For the first time in MMA Tycoon history, an unprecedented partnership has been made. This partnership, named The Consortium, involves organizations who are known for top competition. A consortium is when a group of companies come together for a common goal. Our goal is to provide fighters the top competition they deserve and fans the dream match ups they've been dying to see. Spanning across multiple cities, almost half of the top 100 p4p fighters alone reside in the orgs partaking in this arrangement. The Consortium is made up of Ascension, Empire, IMMA, Canadian Fighting Championship, and Synchronicity. This move will provide fighters with a level of elite level competition never thought possible. http://img96.imageshack.us/img96/2405/vt7x.png What the hell does this mean? Put simply, you will have the opportunity to fight some of the best competition in the world. These orgs will still operate individually as they always have. They will also work alongside each other to provide super fights for their fighters. The World Is Your Octagon - With some of the best fighters in the world located in these orgs, fighters will be able to decide who the best really is. The only question is, are you man enough to prove it. It's put up or shut up time, this is how legends are made. Maybe you can even attempt to become a champ at all 5 orgs, if you accomplished such a feat, how could you not go down as the G.O.A.T. Gold around your waist isn't a requirement though, just being a fighter willing to kick some ass is enough. This is the thread where you make your callouts to fighters/managers or whoever in another Consortium org. Scott Davies of Ascension, Chuck W94 of Empire, Mega Jug of IMMA, Matt Mac of CFC and Louie DePalma of Synchronicity will try their best to work together and set the match up. For the fans waiting for dream matchups, get your betting money ready, there are sure to be some fireworks with some of these fights.
