NFC 54 Rauta vs Landersson Review

Main Event:

265 lbs Pertti Rauta (10-3) vs Ludvig Landersson (6-2)

Whoa, what an interesting fight! Despite lasting only a little over 2 minutes we saw boxing, clinchgame and groundgame. Not many matches are so action packed as this one. Landersson quite clearly got the better of Rauta everywhere. Rauta wanted to clinch and got it early but was unable to do much there, Landersson did the damage and pulled guard. He got a quick sweep and started unloading bombs on the ground forcing referee to step in to protect Rauta. Landersson is moving up the HW ladder quite nicely toward a title shot, win or two should make him the top contender.

Winner by TKO(Strikes): Ludvig Landersson!

Co-Main Event:

265 lbs Paul Baller (8-3) vs Mauri Kunnas (10-2-1)

This fight what all about Mauri Kunnas showcasing his skills. Baller never stood much chance in the whole fight... Kunnas was better and more versatile in boxing game and when he got the fight to clinch he pretty much destroyed Baller with dirty boxing and knees. I was suprised to see Baller last the whole 15 minutes! All the judges agreed that Kunnas clearly won the match.

Winner by Unaminous Decicion: Mauri Kunnas!

170 lbs Felix Flashlighter (13-7) vs Palkki Niskavuori (5-0)

This was a fight between two very skilled fighters. On the boxing department the fight was pretty even, but when it came down to Muay Thai skills Niskavuori was clearly the better one today. Flashlighter tried to get the fight to ground many times and should he have succeeded the result could have been entirely differend but Niskavuoris takedown defense proved to be too much. With this victory Niskavuori is starting to breath at necks of top of our welterweight division!

Winner by Unaminous Decicion: Palkki Niskavuori!

185lbs Ran Plan III (4-1) vs Robert Mules (7-1)

Another quick fight, Ran Plan III pretty much destroyed Mules quite easily. Mules tried to launch his offensive too but Plan III:s defense was too much. After only 1:26 of the fight was gone Plan III knocked Mules out for the first time in his career.

Winner by KO(Punches): Ran Plan III!

Undercard Matches:

185 lbs Amigo Cerveza (9-3-1) defeated Aslan Bagrian (8-5-1) by TKO(Strikes)

170 lbs Stan Stewert (7-1) defeated Scott Hunt (3-1) via Kneebar Submission

265 lbs Roddy Bowes (7-6) defeated Herb Tarlic (7-4) via TKO(Punches=

185 lbs Tauno Potku (7-3) vs Grammund Rider (5-1) was declared a No Contest

205 lbs Miksu Rupunen (10-6) defeated Mikael Akerfeldt (6-2) with Unaminous Decicion

155 lbs Vesku Torni (8-7) defeated Travis International (4-3) via TKO(Strikes)

NFC 55 Red vs Apila Review

Main Event:

265 lbs Jimmy Red (12-5) vs Pertti Apila (9-2)

The judges decicion on our main event sparked up a lot of depate! Red was clearly doing better for the whole fight, connecting 4 times for every shot that Apila landed, and even getting few takedowns. But when Apila landed his shots they did much more damage. One of the judges decided it was too close to call judging it a draw but 2 other judged the fight for Apila. Obviously they thought that Apila did more damage, not caring about the skills. In my opinion Red was so much better that he should have won but now he knows better to not let it in hands of judges!

Winner by Split Decicion: Pertti Apila

Co-Main Event:

185 lbs Anthony Creaturos (11-4) vs Turim Jursu (7-0)

This time Jursu couldn't pull of an upset, Creaturos was simply too much more skilled fighter today. Jursu was doing quite well in the standup, but he was concentrating more on accuracy while Creaturos was more about dropping bombs. Creaturos got Jursu rocked quite badly in the last round but was unable to finish. This time judges did the right decicion and handed the win for Creaturos.

Winner by Unaminous Decicion: Anthony Creaturos!

265 lbs Jiis DeKuyt (5-1-1) vs T Rex (11-5-1)

This one was a rematch after the draw on PPV1 event. Again neither of the fighter were unable to get the finish but at least DeKuyt was better enough for judges to give a decicion! DeKuyt was clearly the better on standup, landing some nice punches on outside and inside. T Rex concentrated more on getting the fight to ground and succeeding several times but he was unable to do much once he got it there.

Winner by Unaminous Decicion: Jiis DeKuyt!

185 lbs Teuvo Loman (9-4) v Seppo Hanska (11-6)

Plenty of ground action here! Hanska would have liked the fight to stay up but he was unable to defend Lomans takedowns. While on the ground it was pretty much Hanska having to defend the submission attempts of Loman, doing good job at it. But just defending them well does't give much points in judges scorecards so 2 of the 3 judges scored the fight for Loman.

Winner by Split Decicion: Teuvo Loman!

Undercard Matches:

205 lbs Tammelan Fasaani (9-6) defeated Pekka Perkele (8-5) by Unaminous Decicion

205 lbs Needadis Shepard (7-0) defeated Rohaldo Roguera (3-1) via Head Kick KO

185 lbs Max Maynard (11-7) defeated vs Stringer Bell (11-9) with Armbar Submission

205 lbs Richard Jenkins (4-3) defeated The Hamburglar (3-0) via KO(Head Kick)

265 lbs Sakke Pietila (3-2) defeated Riku Noitalahti (5-3) with Unaminous Decicion

205 lbs Sepi Kumpulainen (1-0) defeated Veijo Kala (3-5) by TKO(Strikes)

NFC PPV2 - champ vs champ preview

What a night we have ahead of us in the Kallio Dome, Helsinki! There will be thousands and thousands of fightfans around the world gathered there and even more

will be watching the event live in pay-per-view. All the titles will be on line as the time has finally come to unite the belts!

To start the night we have we a middleweight fight between Aarre Voutilainen (9-3) and Pasi Kullero (6-0). Both fighters are very high ranked in their weight division

and a victory here would throw them right into championship mix, so there wont be any effort lacking here. It is very clear what we can expect from this fight as both

are boxing specialists with very little interest in the ground part of MMA. Voutilainen is former Duel top contender and is looking to make himself known over at the NFC.

His opponent Kullero has had only 6 pro fights but is already considered a big threat in middleweight division. He has great skills and is still quite young.

For the second bout of the night we have Lightweight belt on the line as current champion Mikko Koskinen (7-0) steps back to cage to defend the belt against former

champion Rolf Thorkildsen (10-3). Koskinen became the champion by defeating Thorkildsen a while back via controversial decicion, which sparked up a lot of debate

about if the judges were drunk or something. Lots of fans were shocked when Koskinen was announced to have won the fight, an immediate rematch was very popular

idea. Thorkildsen wanted to fight someone else first and did so getting another victory, so now we'll finally see which one really is the champion as they rematch! Skillwise

Thorkildsen appears to have a upper hand in this matchup, but as it's seen over and over again there is more to fighting than just skills.

Ready to rumble? Next we have Super Heavyweight championship bout! NFC Champion Boris Metusalem (11-2) squares off against Duel champion Hemmo Kalske (6-0)

to unite the SHW belt. Man these guys are humongous, I hope the referee won't get crushed like a can if he gets between them! Better have ambulance near for this fight

as things could and propably will get very ugly. It's either gonna be Metusalem needing a lot of stiches to sew his face back together or Kalske in need of medical assistense

after suffering a serious concussion... If Kalske ever decides to quit his fighting career he could propably go work as a lumberjack just using his elbows!

Unski Hallavaara (14-4) and Les Grossman (7-2-1) meet in our next fight. This fight between Light Heavyweight warriors is guaranteed to be extremely exciting as they

both leave it all in the cage! Unski Hallavaara uses pretty much only his striking skills and oh boy is he good at it! But better not underestimate his ground skills, even

thought he rarely feels the need to use them doesn't mean that he can't lock you up in submission... Grossman on the other has a solid background in wrestling which

has proven to be great help transforming into MMA. He can box with his opponents and if he feels he's outmatched on the feet he'll just take the down and rain some godly

gnp on them. The stakes are high in this fight as winner of it will very likely be looking at next shot at 205lbs belt, which is on the line later today!

Next order of business... Welterweight Championship bout to unite the belts! Jesse Mortensson (14-3) is taking on Sergeant Slaughter (8-2). This one is classic grappler

vs striker matchup, except Mortensson is equally skilled on feet as Slaughter. Mortensson is one hell of a fighter and known worldwide for his performances, his submissions

are always greatly entertaining to watch! His opponent Sergeant Slaughter always comes to cage with do or die mentality, he has never been into judges scorecards and

if it is upto him he'll never be. He is going in there looking to knock Mortensson out before he gets taken down. And I have to admit that is the only gameplan that can

work here, if Mortensson can secure that takedown then Slaughter is bound to tap sooner or later...

Aaaaand next we have two heavyweights about to clash as Steven Fredriksson (11-4) tests his skills against NFC veteran Jeff Sobchak (11-2)! What a weird guy this

Fredriksson is... I guess you could call him the black sheep of Fredriksson fighting family. His idea of fun on days off training is to go complete in these insane toughman

competitions where they put on borat swimming suits and run in burning heaps of carwheels... Guess that can make you more resilient or something but I wouldn't try it!

Wouldn't be suprised if he'd come to fight naked or something and it would have to be cancelled but I really hope that wont happen! Sobchak is really pissed at him for

doing all the showcasing and not showing the sport enough respect. And pissed Sobchak is not a nice thing to go against as he tends to put people to sleep...

Finally no more "undercard" matches and we're onto the fights that will be broadcasted live on PPV! The fight to open PPV tonight is nothing less than Light Heavyweight

Championship match. NFC Champion and one of the most decorated fighters in world Tomi Koski (14-2) tries to keep the belt away from hands of Duel Champion

Thomas Pinta (8-0-1). Koski has been around the block and fought with very best fighters in the world, and beating almost all of them. For long time there was no real

challengers for him so he's only had to defend his belt once in his last 6 fights. But now Thomas Pinta has risen to occasion, despite not being so highly ranked as Koski

he definately has skills to pose a threat for him. Pinta really has to bring in his A-game though for chance of winning the belt.

Again we have Championship belt as the wager on next fight as Duels and NFCs champions unite the middleweight belt! Stevens more sensible brother Roibos Fredriksson (9-0)

takes on Anabol Asteroid (14-5)... Roibos is still undeafeated after 9 professional fights which gives quite a good insight on his skills, he is extremely well rounded being able

to end fights by knockouts and submissions, you name it. He defeated former NFC champion in last PPV event in just under two minutes getting him the belt and breaking

the record for most fights won in a row in NFC. On the other side of the cage will be his opponent Asteroid, a knockout machine with 11 knockouts on the record. He is the

more experienced fighter here. He had some tough times in early career but he has clearly learned a lot from those defeats becoming one of the highest ranked middleweights

in the world today. You won't see him trying to take the fight to ground as he is mostly a boxer, but being so good at what he does means he really doesn't need groundgame

that much... In my opinion this is propably the most interesting match tonight!

Another middleweight fight is booked for the Co-Main Event of this glorious night as top contenders of middleweight division clash. Interestingly enough this conterder matchup

is placed after the championship bout, propably has something to do with Sampsa Siloposki (13-2) being so ridiculously popular among the fight fans! He is formel TFL light

heavyweight champion who just recently decided to drop down to middleweight division to pursue the championship there. His only two losses have came against Urho Itaniemi,

rest of his opponents he has defeated quite easily, knocking out 10 of them. Clearly he prefers to use his standup skills and has very little to do with ground fighting. His opponent

tonight is Urpo Nyrkki (10-2), a very similar fighter as Siloposki. Big hands and loves to stand and bang! His only losses have came against Asteroid who is fighting for the belt

just before this fight. Fight fans are really looking forward for this fight to see some insane standup action and to see how well Siloposki will adjust to middleweight division after

losing some weight. Definately Fight of The Night potential here!

And finally our Main Event of the evening, the unition fight of Heavyweight belt! Introducing two of the worlds best heavyweights Pekka Topohanta (13-2-1) and Veto Remmi (17-2-1)!

These guys are truly legends of the sport, sharing a total of 30 victories between them, of which 23 have come by the way of a knockout! Topohanta is a muay thai specialist with

great kicks and clinch ability. One should not count out his boxing ability either though as he also possesses great boxing skills and has great power in his hands. Suffering his first

loss in a long long time on our last PPV event he is now looking to come back stronger than ever and we won't see him holding anything back this time as he knows to not let it in

the hands of judges. Facing him is Veto Remmi, who holds the record for most wins in Nordic Fighting Championship. He former champion in Sydney, from where he moved to Helsinki

while ago to face better opponents. So far he has demolished two fighters in Helsinki, grapping Duel belt hastily from Paul Baller. This is his true test tonight to see how he fares against

world class opponent. Remmi is propably the underdog here but he doesn't let that bother him, he's got all the confidence in skills and ability to get a victory here tonight!

NFC PPV2: Champ vs Champ Review

Main Event:

For Heavyweight Championship

Pekka Topohanta (13-2-1) vs Veto Remmi (17-2-1)

Our Main Event did not have a dull moment, and for 25 minutes of fighting that's quite good! Very early the fight was quite even but as the fight went on Remmi became more and more dominant, eventually winning the last 2 rounds 10-8. Remmi clearly outstruckt Topohanta leaving him unable to do pretty much anything and he also took the fight to ground couple times. Remmi never ceaces to amaze, he was considered as underdog here

but again he took the victory and the belt in dominating fashion. Is there anyone who can beat this guy?

Winner by Unaminous Decicion and new NFC Heavyweight Champion: Veto Remmi!

Co-Main Event:

Sampsa Siloposki (13-2) vs Urpo Nyrkki (10-2)

This fight was pretty similar to our main event, except we didn't see any ground action.... Nyrkki just shut Siloposki down entirely. Siloposki was doing fairly well on outside early but when it went to clinch it was all Nyrkki. When it came down to judges decicion it was clear that Nyrkki had won, the judges scored it 26-30, 27-30,26-30 agreeing on Nyrkkis dominance. Nyrkki definately made himself a top contender at our Middleweight divisionwith his performance!

Winner by Unaminous Decicion: Urpo Nyrkki!

For Middleweight Championship: Roibos Fredriksson (9-0) vs Anabol Asteroid (14-5)

Here we saw another 25 minutes of action! Early on Fredriksson was doing great on outside, utilizing his kicks very well and slowing Asteroid down... But as the fight went on Astreroid started finding his range and timing, landing more and more punches and eventually turned out winning rounds 3, 4 and 5. A close fight on judges scorecards but Asteroid was clearly better today, breaking Fredrikssons perfect record and grapping the belt!

Winner by Unaminous Decicion and new NFC Middleweight Champion: Anabol Asteroid!

For Light Heavyweight Championship: Tomi Koski (14-2) vs Thomas Pinta (8-0-1)

Koski really showed why was was ranked the number 2 fighter in the world just a little while back! The formerly undefeated challenger Pinta stood no chance here, he was unable to connect any shots that he tried to throw. Koski was all over Pinta throwing huge shots and connecting very well, and after just over 3 minute mark he was able to put Pinta to sleep... I really don't know who will step up next to face Koski!

Winner by TKO and still NFC Light Heavyweight Champion: Tomi Koski!

Steven Fredriksson (11-4) vs Jeff Sobchak (11-2)

Another dominating performance for Steven Fredriksson, Sobchak was completely shut down by Stevens aggression. Fredriksson just kept punching outside and in the clinch, not taking any damage himself! Although he was unable to finish it was extremely entertaining fight showcasing Fredrikssons skills. He definately moved up the heavyweight ladder, possibly looking at a title shot next!

Winner by Unaminous Decicion: Steven Fredriksson!

For Welterweight Championship: Jesse Mortensson (14-3) vs Sergeant Slaughter (8-2)

This fight wasn't the most exciting one that we have seen, but at least there was some insane takedowns and ground action which was rare tonight! While standing Slaughter for swinging wildly, clearly going for the knockout but he caught mostly just air. Mortensson in the other hand landed some more accurate shots but mostly just went for the takedowns, getting them quite often. On ground Mortensson tried to submit Slaughter many times but was unable to finish. In the end Mortensson more well rounded fight got the judges to decide it for him.

Winner by Unaminous Decicion and still NFC Welterweight Champion: Jesse Mortensson!

Unski Hallavaara (14-4) vs Les Grossman (7-2-1)

This Light Heavyweight contender matchup followed pretty much the line that we had in our fights tonight, resulting in a very dominant performance by Hallavaara. Grossman was mostly used as a punching bag here, unable to launch any sensible offense. Hallavaara is propably looking at another shot at Koski with his performance here today!

Winner by Unaminous Decicion: Unski Hallavaara

For Super Heavyweight Championship: Boris Metusalem (11-2) vs Hemmo Kalske (6-0)

Another dominant performance here, just this time it ended really quickly! Kalske softened former champion Metusalem with some kicks outside before rushing into clinch where he landed a monster elbow that put Metusalem to sleep. With this victory Kalske extended his perfect record to 7-0 and more importantly grapped the SHW-belt! He is now considered one of the best Super Heavyweights of the world, and for a good reason!

Winner by TKO Strikes and new Super Heavyweight Champion: Hemmo Kalske!

For Lightweight Championship: Mikko Koskinen (7-0) vs Rolf Thorkildsen (10-3)

This was one of the more interesting matches of the night as they faced each other in a rematch. Koskinen was clearly the better on standup but he tried to be too entertaining by throwing a lot of combos that he couldn't land. Thorkildsen capitalized on that taking Koskinen down several times and ultimately submitting him in a guillotine in third round and revenging his last loss to Koskinen.

Winner by Guillotine Submission and new Lightweight Champion: Rolf Thorkildsen!

Aarre Voutilainen (9-3) vs Pasi Kullero (6-0)

Kullero showed here why he is considered a real threat to Middleweight champion... Landing almost every punch against World Class Boxer Voutilainen and eventually putting him to sleep in just under 1 and ½ minutes. Insane performance from Kullero and a big step towards the end of Middleweight ladder!

Winner by TKO Strikes: Pasi Kullero!

NFC 56 Suttu vs Itaniemi Preview

Main Event:

205 lbs Juha Suttu (10-1) vs Urho Itaniemi (14-4)

Our Main Event tonight features two top end Light heavyweight fighters, Juha Suttu and Urho Itaniemi. Suttu is riding an insane 10 fight win streak, only losing his first ever professional fight. He is former Courage FC champion from Tokyo who moved to Finland after it closed its doors. Suttu is a great ground fighter with solid standup skills too whereas Itaniemi is pretty much pure standup fighter, in this fight ability to choose where the fight takes place is going to be a big factor. I'd say Itaniemi is the underdog coming in with 2 consecutive losses and slight lack of ground skills, but he's got some really heavy hands so it's possible that the fight ends in a quick KO too...

Co-Main Event

265+ lbs Aalio Paalio (10-4) vs Kake Luikku (7-3)

Heh, it's always amusing to see these SHW-matchups! Both guys stand 225cm tall and weight well over 300lbs, you know what you can expect... What makes it more interesting is the difference between these guys, Paalio is a sensational boxer with all wins coming by the way of knockout and Luikku is BJJ Black belt with all win by submissions. And most importantly neither has ever went to judges decicion! Better keep your eyes on and focused as this will end in a blink second. Winner of this one is going to be very high on SHW ladder, possibly even looking at the next title shot!

265 lbs Janne Maunonen (8-4) vs Luola Mies (9-4)

These both warriors are coming off a disappointing loss and are looking to turn the tide. Maunonen definately has the upped edge here skillwise, being one of the most well rounded fighters in our heavyweight division. But he has quite a lot of scar tissue in his face making him cut easily which has cost him two fights in his career already... Luola Mies has less skills but should not be counted out, he can be suprisingly tough and can win anyone on a good day as his victory over Pertti Apila proves!

170 lbs Lucio Vera (8-2) vs Ricardo miami vice (9-3)

Next up we have some welterweight action as both fighters are looking to move up the ladder towards title shot. Vera is the more well rounded fighter but he's maybe a little too jack of all trades not having any special strenghts... miami vice then is pretty much all ground fighter and has very little standup skills, but he has never been knocked out despite his lack of them which tell quite a lot about his chin. Vera better go for the knockout of at least quickly punish miami vice enough to avoid getting taken down to miami vices superior groundgame.

Undercard Matches:

205 lbs Abdi Muhammed (4-0) vs Al Inyourbutt (7-2)

185 lbs Nisper Ykonen (4-1) vs Jasser Tiihonen (6-4)

170 lbs Joonatan Roinatan (6-1) vs Fransico Junior (5-2)

265 lbs Antti Haapasalo (5-2) vs Peter North (7-4)

185 lbs Bobby Fingers (3-0) vs Benjamin Nappula (4-0)

205 lbs Demian Silva (4-2) vs vlatko lib (4-3)

NFC 56 Suttu vs Itaniemi Review

Main Event:

205 lbs Juha Suttu (10-1) vs Urho Itaniemi (14-4)

Our main event was really packed with action as long as it lasted! Early on Suttu was getting better of Itaniemi on the outside with some great boxing while Itaniemi was just mostly trying to clinch unsuccesfully. Suttu quickly then proceeded to take the fight to ground where he definately had the advantage and landed some nice gnp. Suttu was a little too eager to finish the fight and failed to get an armbar which resulted Itaniemi getting on top and standing up. And after some standup exchanges Itaniemi landed a perfect head kick out of nowhere knockin Suttu out cold! With this performance Itaniemi really deserves the next shot at our LHW Champion Tomi Koski!

Winner by KO(Head Kick): Urho Itaniemi!

Co-Main Event

265+ lbs Aalio Paalio (10-4) vs Kake Luikku (7-3)

Heh, this fight was pretty hilarious for everyone else but Kake Luikku's camp. All he did was try to take the fight to ground, desperately shooting for Paalios legs all the time. Well he did manage in it a few times but was unable to do pretty much anything on the ground resulting in a quick standups. Paalio on the other hand was just using Luikku as a punching bag, landing shots right and left! After seeing Luikku take a well over hundred punches unanswered the referee finally decided that he'd seen enough. What a performance from Paalio!

Winner by TKO(Punches): Aalio Paalio!

265 lbs Janne Maunonen (8-4) vs Luola Mies (9-4)

Mmmmmkay, anyone around who still thinks Maunonen isn't one of the best Heavyweights on NFC? Not many for sure after his performance here again Mies. Maunonen pretty much dominated the fight where ever it went, on the outside, in the clinch and on the ground. Finally with just one second to go on the second round he forced Mies to tap to Americana submission. I guess Mies missed the 10 second clap and didn't know it was that close to rounds end, well he had a little chance of winning the fight left so it won't make a big difference!

Winner by Submission(Americana): Janne Maunonen!

170 lbs Lucio Vera (8-2) vs Ricardo miami vice (9-3)

Okay, another fight where the ground fighter was desperate to take it down to ground, failing quite miserably. miami vice was that fighter today, trying all takedowns and just one punch. It's clear that that gameplan did not work! Vera quickly took the fight to clinch where he kept punishing miami vice where just after 1:45 of the first round the referee had to step in to save miami vice from taking anymore damage.

Winner by TKO(Strikes): Lucio Vera!

Undercard Matches:

205 lbs Abdi Muhammed (4-0) defeated Al Inyourbutt (7-2) by TKO(Strikes)

185 lbs Nisper Ykonen (4-1) defeated Jasser Tiihonen (6-4) via KO(Strikes)

170 lbs Fransico Junior (5-2) defeated Joonatan Roinatan (6-1) by Unaminous Decicion

265 lbs Antti Haapasalo (5-2) defeated Peter North (7-4) by Unaminous Decicion

185 lbs Benjamin Nappula (4-0) defeated Bobby Fingers (3-0) by Unaminous Decicion

205 lbs Demian Silva (4-2) vs vlatko lib (4-3) ended in a Draw

NFC 57 Apila vs Virtanen Preview

Main event:

265 lbs Pertti Apila (10-2-0) vs Abdullah Virtanen (13-3-0)

Two very experienced heavyweights collide in this fight which is surely a fight of the night candidate! Apila had bit controversial majority decicion win against Jimmy Red in his last fight, but Virtanen is coming with impressive 7 fight win streak and hasn't shown any signs of slowing down. Both fighters are pretty equally skilled, Apila has slight edge on boxing, but Virtanen has same kind of edge on Muay Thai skills. It's interesting to see what kind of game plan fighters' camps have developed, as the winner of this match is very close at getting a shot against NFC HW champion Veto Remmi. I bet this fight won't go to ground, unless one of these fighters drop other with punch or kick to the face!

Co-main event:

185 lbs Ran Plan III (5-1-0) vs Kalle Kinkeri (12-4-1)

In our co-main event former NFC middleweight champion Kalle Kinkeri faces young and hungry boxing specialist Ran Plan III. After losing a superfight against Scott Spade in NFC 46, Kinkeri has had some difficulties with ever growing talent pool of Nordic Fighting Championship. After latest TKO loss to Aarre Voutilainen, Kinkeri's face is again target of powerful fists of Plan. Plan has finished most of his fights in first round, and that's probably his goal this time too. Plan is quite one dimensional striker with constantly improving Muay Thai. Kinkeri on the other hand has very good kicks and nice clinchgame, which is no doubt part of his game plan. Kinkeri also has clear edge on the grappling which he hasn't really used as offensive weapon. Will Kinkeri still rely on his stand up skills, or does he respect Plan's fists so much that we could see new more well rounded Kinkeri?

205 lbs Tammelan Fasaani (10-6-0) vs Jake Orange (6-2-0)

Our next fight takes place at light heavyweight division where excellent striker Jake Orange tries to rebound back to the road of victories by challenging a well rounded veteran Tammelan Fasaani. Orange loves to stand and bang, mixing punches and kicks nicely, but Fasaani is using his strikes more on setting up a takedowns, where he pounds the hell out of his opponents. Orange will probably try to slow Fasaani down with power leg kicks and punching Fasaani's head off, while Fasaani can either test his striking skills against Orange, or try to take the fight to his comfort zone, ground. Can he do it and finish Orange on the ground, or will Orange show that despite the recent matches which went to distance, he can still knock people out?

170 lbs Felix Flashlighter (13-8-0) vs Harry Sachz (6-3-0)

After two back to back losses to top tier fighters Niskavuori and Mortensson, Felix Flashlighter tries to regroup himself against tough striker Harry Sachz. This should be easy fight for much more experienced Flashlighter, who has skills to do it all: Punch, kick, submit or pound Sachz through the floor. Sachz is underdog here, but if Flashlighter comes to the cage with too flashy moves, Sachz has shown that he certainly has the power and skills to knock Felix out. And don't forget, event though Flashlighter has superior wrestling, their BJJ is pretty equal, and both have submitted their opponents in past, so who knows what happens if the fight hits the ground.

Preliminary fights on the card:

265 lbs Syltty Tallikone (12-6-0) vs T Rex (11-6-1)

170 lbs Jimbo Stapelstaden (7-4-0) vs All or Nothing (10-6-0)

265 lbs James Dille (9-5-0) vs Herb Tarlic (7-5-0)

NFC 58 Siloposki vs Kullero Preview

Main event:

185 lbs Sampsa Siloposki (13-3-0) vs Pasi Kullero (7-0-0)

Undefeated striker Pasi Kullero challenges another striker Sampsa Siloposki in our action packed main event! Kullero has his opponents with hist fist either on striking distance or in the clinch, without single kick or takedown attempt. Siloposki on the other hand is usually mixing this up more, throwing nice kicks and occasional takedown or two. Siloposki was close of getting the title shot against Asteroid, but after a recent loss to Urpo Nyrkki in NFC PPV 2, he has to wait his turn bit longer. Kullero on the other hand hasn't slowed down a bit, and is certainly a scary contender if he can finish Siloposki like he finished world class boxer Aarre Voutilainen in his recent fight. But this is the first time Kullero faces a guy who doesn't just talk with his fist, as Siloposki has knocked people out with his high kicks too. This is going to be interesting stand up war, which probably wont last long!

Co-Main event:

265 lbs Pertti Rauta (10-4-0) vs Jimmy Red (12-6-0)

After dissapointing decision loss to Pertti Apila at NFC 55, Jimmy Red is trying to rebound by facing Pertti Rauta, who also comes to the cage with recent loss against Ludvig Landersson. Pertti Rauta is a clinch specialist, who punches you with fists and knees and cuts you open with sharp elbows. Red isn't too bad on the clinch either, but likes to mix things up in striking department so he can take you down and pound your head to the mat or submit you. If Red can avoid Rauta's clinch attempts and take Rauta to the ground, he is probably going to take W here, but if Rauta can keep fight standing, he has the power to knock Red down even from the clinch.

205 lbs Mikko Tyysoni (10-4-0) vs Alexander Michalski (9-5-0)

This fight is like copy of the co-main event. Is Tyysoni able to follow his game plan which is very simple: Punches in bunches from all distances and all angles, preferably in the clinch with his spectacular aggressiviness and accurate strikes. Or does Michalski get the fight to the ground were he demolishes people with almost equally aggressive and accurate striking? Michalski will need his granite chin as Tyysoni has really heavy hands. This fight is all about who can dictate the place where the fight is fought.

265 lbs Paul Baller (8-4-0) vs Jiis DeKuyt (6-1-1)

Always the underdog, former Duel heavyweight champion Paul Baller faces 40cm shorter and 45lbs lighter Jiis DeKuyt in a weird match where anything can happen. Although DeKuyt is more technical striker, but can he get close enough to punch Baller who has huge edge due the physical attributes? Baller has also better MT skills, although he hasn't been using his kicks much. DeKuyt has better grappling skills, but he has only used them in defensive purposes so far. Baller has lost his last three fights and is no doubt feeling bit desperate already, it's interesting to see will that affect to his game plan.

Preliminary fights on the card:

185 lbs Amigo Cerveza (10-3-1) vs Kimbo Lice (8-4-0)

185 lbs Robert Mules (7-2-0) vs Teuvo Loman (10-4-0)

205 lbs Needadis Shepard (8-0-0) vs Richard Jenkins (5-3-0)

185 lbs Michael Koch (7-6-0) vs Seppo Hanska (11-7-0)

205 lbs Pekka Perkele (8-6-0) vs Syntha Six (10-7-0)

155 lbs Eino Juutilainen (8-7-0) vs Travis International (4-4-0)

NFC 57 Apila vs Virtanen Review

Main event:

265 lbs Pertti Apila (10-2-0) vs Abdullah Virtanen (13-3-0)

For our main event tonight we had a great heavyweight matchup! Pertti Apila was taking on Virtanen who was travelling all the way from Hilo for this fight. Virtanen was trying to utilize his excellent muay thai skills to slow down Apila but only managed to land a few low kicks before Apila rocked in clinch and quickly proceeded to break it and landing an insane combination which but Virtanen to sleep.

Winner by Knockout: Pertti Apila!

Co-main event:

185 lbs Ran Plan III (5-1-0) vs Kalle Kinkeri (12-4-1)

In Co-main two middleweight contendes met in the cage. Ran Plan III took on much more experienced Kalle Kinkeri. Well experience did very little to help Kinkeri here as Plan III managed to shut him down pretty much completely right from the start. Plan III rocked Kinkeri early on and knocked him down to ground two times before putting him away for good with supercharged punch! Plan III is definately starting to look like a threat to middleweight belt with his performance tonight.

Winner by Knockout: Ran Plan III!

205 lbs Tammelan Fasaani (10-6-0) vs Jake Orange (6-2-0)

In this light heavyweight battle we saw some well diversed action as fight went on standing and on the ground. Both fighters did very well on the boxing aspect, Fasaani was able to secure few takedown but was unable to do pretty much anything while on the ground. What propably made the difference in judges

eyes here was Oranges muay thai skills as he landed some nasty kicks!

Winner by Unaminous Decicion: Jake Orange!

170 lbs Felix Flashlighter (13-8-0) vs Harry Sachz (6-3-0)

This fight was one of the more closer fights of the night. On the first round Sachz got an early takedown and got close to submitting Flashlighter and easily won the round, on second round Flashlighter found his range and started landing very well slowing Sachz down to snail speed. No finish here but an impressive comeback from Flashlighter!

Winner by Unaminous Decicion: Felix Flashlighter!

Preliminary fights on the card:

265 lbs Syltty Tallikone (12-6-0) defeated T Rex (11-6-1) by Unaminous Decicion

170 lbs Jimbo Stapelstaden (7-4-0) defeated All or Nothing (10-6-0) via TKO Strikes

265 lbs Herb Tarlic (7-5-0) defeated James Dille (9-5-0) with Rare Naked Choke Submission

265 lbs Lasse Lukottaja (8-5-0) defeated Lou Cifer Jr (10-11-0) via Armbar Submission

265+ lbs Arttu Loppi (4-5-0) defeated Jeet Kun Do (7-6-0) with Guillotine Submission

NFC 58 Siloposki vs Kullero Review

Main event:

185 lbs Sampsa Siloposki (13-3-0) vs Pasi Kullero (7-0-0)

For our main event we had a really intense thriller between our middleweight contenders Siloposki and Kullero. Siloposki was more diversed tonight as he mixed things up with kicks and some takedowns, but in the end all judges scored it to Kullero 30-27. Don't be fooled with that score as it was much closer than that really. What propably made the difference in judges eyes was that Kullero did more damage than Siloposki. With this impressive victory Kullero improves his perfect record to eight straight wins and more importantly made himself top contender in middleweight division, earning the next shot at the belt!

Winner by Unaminous Decicion: Pasi Kullero!

Co-Main event:

265 lbs Pertti Rauta (10-4-0) vs Jimmy Red (12-6-0)

This wasn't a very good night for Rauta as he got handed his second defeat in a row. Jimmy Red was just better in every aspect of the fight. He dominated Rauta standing up and softened him with punches for a while until he got the takedown. On the ground it took only about a minute for Red to lock up an impressive kneebar which forced Rauta to quickly tapout. It certainly was a risky move from Red but it paid off greatly! Red picked up some nice extra cash by earning Submission Of The Night honors with that kneebar!

Winner by Submission (Kneebar): Jimmy Red!

205 lbs Mikko Tyysoni (10-4-0) vs Alexander Michalski (9-5-0)

This light heavyweight battle was quite interesting! Michalski started off really nice landing a couple of kicks and punches and opened up a nice cut under Tysoonis right eye. Tysooni also landed some punches but was not really backing them up with power and was losing the standup battle until BOOM! Out of nowhere an insane headkick that almost took Michalskis head off. That hit propably wiped off a few months of training from Michalskis brains!

Winner by Head Kick Knockout: Mikko Tysooni!

265 lbs Paul Baller (8-4-0) vs Jiis DeKuyt (6-1-1)

Rough times for former Duel champion Baller I can tell you. He just lost his fourth fight in a row, I really hope he can get back on track soon! Baller and DeKuyt were quite even on the outside, both landing some nice punches. But when DeKuyt took the fight to clinch Baller went to lockdown and all he did was try to hang on DeKuyt's feet and drag him down while getting punched in the face over and over again. DeKuyt didn't live up to his nickname tonight but still very impressive performance! He's really starting to make a name for himself in the NFC Heavyweight division!

Winner by Unaminous Decicion: Jiis DeKuyt!

Preliminary fights on the card:

185 lbs Amigo Cerveza (10-3-1) defeated Kimbo Lice (8-4-0) via Technical Knockout

185 lbs Teuvo Loman (10-4-0) defeated Robert Mules (7-2-0) by Arm Triangle Submission

205 lbs Needadis Shepard (8-0-0) defeated Richard Jenkins (5-3-0) with Unaminous Decicion

185 lbs Seppo Hanska (11-7-0) defeated Michael Koch (7-6-0) with Unaminous Decicion

205 lbs Pekka Perkele (8-6-0) defeated Syntha Six (10-7-0) by Technical Knockout

155 lbs Eino Juutilainen (8-7-0) defeated Travis International (4-4-0) with Unaminous Decicion

NFC 59 Landersson vs Sobchak preview

Main event:

265 lbs Ludvig Landersson (7-2) vs Jeff Sobchak (11-3)

In our main event of the evening the game plan of Ludvig Landerson will most likely be the same as always: Let the fists fly. He never kicks his opponents or take them down, but despite his predictable game plan he has demolished most of his opponents in first round. His opponent Jeff Sobchak is more well rounded guy who likes to clinch and mash your head with knees, elbows and fists. He could also try take Landerson down, but that's more easily said than done, as nobody has ever taken Landerson to the ground. Both guys have knocked people out in their past fights so this this should be short fight!

Co-main event:

185 lbs Aarre Voutilainen (10-4) vs Anthony Creaturos (12-4)

This fight has "striker versus grappler" written all over it, as Voutilainen is sensational boxer with not so good ground skills, and Creaturos is a solid brown belt with superior wrestling skills. But Creaturos doesn't mind striking with his opponents too, and besides he isn't known for his submission game, and he has never finished anybody with his ground and pound either. But on feet, he has demolished several great strikers before, so Voutilainen better not be too condifident on feet. Voutilainen has heavy hands and he knows it as he doesn't go much for the body shots but relies his knockout abilities. Creaturos will no doubt try to take this fight to the ground at some point, and if he can make it, Creaturos might take the decision win here. Unless Voutilainen wins by first round KO/TKO.

185 lbs Roibos Fredriksson (9-1) vs Turim Jursu (7-1)

In paper, it looks like Turim Jursu is outclassed skillwise in all areas of fight. Former NFC middleweight champion Roibos Fredriksson can do it all, he has much better striking game and superior grappling skills as well. Fredriksson has good chin, but Jursu has mashed some granite chins before with his wonderful high kicks, and that will no doubt be his number one weapon in this fight too. Jursu has 10cm reach advantage too, so let's see can he give us the highlight KO or will Fredriksson show that his only loss to Anabol Asteroid was the only loss his going to have in his otherwise unblemished career.

170 lbs Lucio Vera (9-2) vs Palkki Niskavuori (6-0)

This fight is going to be interesting, as these fighters seem to have very similar skillsets, but they use them very differently. Lucio Vera Uses his great boxing and MT to set up takedowns which succeed usually with good percentage, and using his good ground skills he smashes people faces with very effective ground and pound. Palkki Niskavuori on the otherhand likes to soften his opponents with kicks and single punches which land land with amazing percentage. If the fight gets to the clinch, Niskavuori punishes with punches, elbows and knees from all angles. Unless Vera gets this fight to the ground fast, Niskavuori will no doubt continue his career undefeated.

Preliminary fights on the card:

265 lbs Timo Ryti (8-2-1) v Mauri Kunnas (11-2-1)

170 lbs Esko Salo (8-3) v Gunmetal Grey (11-5-1)

185 lbs Pumba Ottavainen (10-4) v Gunnar Ingi Jr (7-2)

170 lbs Martti Aho (10-8) v Hokkus Pokkus (3-0)

170 lbs Will Power (3-0) v Champ Bombada (3-1)

205 lbs Sepi Kumpulainen (2-0) v Rohaldo Roguera (3-2)

NFC 59 Landersson vs Sobchak Review

Main event:

265 lbs Ludvig Landersson (7-2) vs Jeff Sobchak (11-3)

Our main event tonight was very brief so not much to tell about it. The hard hitting swede Ludvig Landersson came in swinging for the fences! He cut Sobchak right away, then knocked him down quickly. He then waved Sobchak to stand up after which he proceeded to land a perfect right which put Sobchak down for good. An insane performance from Landersson which for sure put him upto consideration for next contender at our heavyweight belt!

Winner by KO(Punches): Ludvig "Biffen" Landersson!

Co-main event:

185 lbs Aarre Voutilainen (10-4) vs Anthony Creaturos (12-4)

What a thriller this fight was between two top tier middleweights in NFC. Voutilainen was clearly the better on the outside landing a very high percentage of his punches. Creaturos on the other hand was not able to land anything in the standup and was mostly trying to get Voutilainen down to ground. While on the ground Creaturos had pretty much his way landing some nice GnP. Voutilainen made a severe mistake in the clinch trying to pull guard there constantly which propably cost him the fight. All the judges scored it 28-29 to Creaturos.

Winner by Unaminous Decicion: Anthony Creaturos!

185 lbs Roibos Fredriksson (9-1) vs Turim Jursu (7-1)

Well this fight went pretty much as expected. Jursu was coming to fight as an underdog and was not able to shock the world this time. Fredriksson was quite clearly the better tonight. The fight was quite entertaining when standing up but once it hit the floor pretty much nothing happened. Eventually at third round Fredriksson was able to do something in the ground and locked up solid Armbar which Jursu was unable to escape anymore.

Winner by Armbar Submission: Roibos Fredriksson!

170 lbs Lucio Vera (9-2) vs Palkki Niskavuori (6-0)

This fight was extremely entertaining as we saw full 15 minutes of nonstop action between our welterweight warriors Lucio Vera and Palkki Niskavuori. Vera started of really strong and won the first round with some nice ground skills but as the fight went on Niskavuori started getting hang of it and got better and better all the time. In third round he nearly finished Vera with great high kick. Vera survived but was unable to do anything anymore and finally Niskavuori won the last round 10-8.

Winner by Unaminous Decicion: Palkki Niskavuori!

Preliminary fights on the card:

265 lbs Mauri Kunnas (11-2-1) defeated Timo Ryti (8-2-1) via TKO(Cut)

170 lbs Esko Salo (8-3) defeated Gunmetal Grey (11-5-1) with Unaminous Decicion

185 lbs Gunnar Ingi Jr (7-2) defeated Pumba Ottavainen (10-4) via Submission(Strikes)

170 lbs Hokkus Pokkus (3-0) defeated Martti Aho (10-8) by Head Kick Knockout

170 lbs Will Power (3-0) defeated Champ Bombada (3-1) with Judges Decicion

205 lbs Sepi Kumpulainen (2-0) defeated Rohaldo Roguera (3-2) with Technical Knockout

NFC PPV 3 preview

Main event:

265 lbs title fight Veto Remmi (18-2-1) vs Steven Fredriksson (12-4)

Heavyweight belt is one the line in our main event where the challenger, devastating striker Steven Fredriksson takes on against sensational all-around wrecking machine Veto Remmi! Fredriksson is quite one dimensional boxer with good defenses, where as Remmi does it all, he throws all kinds of punches and kicks, takes you down, and beats hell out of you there too. We havent seen much clinchgame from Remmi, so that could be one thing Fredriksson is looking for, as his dirty boxing skills have looked very nice in the past. Taking the fight to the clinch would also negate the huge reach advantage Remmi has. But this one is hard to predict, could go either way, and probably won't be s short fight.

Co-main event:

205 lbs title fight Tomi Koski (15-2) vs Urho Itaniemi (15-4)

Our co-main event is the light heavyweight title fight between the challenger Urho Itaniemi and champion Tomi Koski. Both fighters are exceptional boxers, but Itaniemi has usually thrown quite many kicks too, and he likes to bang it on the clinch too. Koski on the other hand usually lets his fist fly, but he does have solid submission skills too. Here he will most likely try to take the fight to the ground, where BJJ brown belt Koski should easily submit Itaniemi. But Itaniemi has superior wrestling skills, so it won't be so easy. This should be very interesting fight!

185 lbs title fight Anabol Asteroid (15-5) vs Urpo Nyrkki (11-2)

In our third title fight of the evening, Urpo Nyrkki gets third change at the middleweight belt, but Anabol Asteroid isn't going to hand it over easily this time either. These fighters look very evenly matched, but Asteroid has shown that he has solid heart and he will just get better and as the fight goes on. Asteroid is having a six fight win streak, and unless Nyrkki has learned some new tricks, Asteroid will retain his belt again and Nyrkki will remain as ultimate gatekeeper.

265+ lbs title fight Hemmo Kalske (7-0) vs Aalio Paalio (11-4)

Big boys collide in the super heavyweight title fight as Hemmo Kalske defends his belt first time in NFC. Kalske is a monster on the clinch, and he will no doubt try to take the fight there again, where he wants to cut Paalio's face open. But Aalio Paalio is a sensational boxer with equally simple game plan: Knock Kalske out as fast as possible. I'm very suprised if this fight goes to the distance or even to the second round.

265 lbs Pekka Topohanta (13-3-1) vs Abdullah Virtanen (13-4)

After 11 fight win streak, Pekka Topohanta faces a must win situation after one draw and two losses in his previous three fights. Topohanta is great MT fighter with devastating elbows on clinch and great kicks on outside. His opponent Abdullah Virtanen is very similar fighter with, so this is going to be a real Muay thai contest all three rounds. If the fight goes even past first round. Virtanen lost his first fight via TKO, when Pertti Apila rocked him on the clinch, and as Topohanta is even better clinch fighter than Apila, that could be the way this fight ends. Or Virtanen does the same thing to Topohanta, who knows. But this fight will go to clinch, no doubt about it.

205 lbs Unski Hallavaara (15-4) vs Les Grossman (7-3-1)

This fight is a rematch from out last PPV event where Hallavaara won a dominating decicion victory against Grossman. Well see if Grossman can come up with better gameplan this time! Former top contender Hallavaara seems to be the favorite here again with his top notch standup game and great takedown defense. Don't get me wrong, Grossmans standup is good too but not quite in same level with Hallavaara. Grossman real strength lays on his wrestling ability and if he can take it to ground there's a good chance he'll be able pull a victory here!

205 lbs Thomas Pinta (8-1-1) vs Mega Fredriksson (6-2)

After losing his shot at the title Thomas Pinta is looking to get back in the title picture here against Mega Fredriksson. It won't be an easy task though as Fredriksson is on of the most well rounded fighters in NFC. Both fighters prefer to stand up so there's a good chance well see a big knockout here. Ofcourse if Fredriksson decides to take it to ground Pinta could be in a lot of trouble.

265 lbs Antti Haapasalo (6-2) vs Luola Mies (9-5)

Well this one is interesting, both fighters are pretty much standup concentrated with only basic BJJ knowledge to defend them on ground. Haapasalo and Mies both have most wins by knockout and have lost by knockouts so I guess we won't go to decicion here! Mies is the more experienced fighter here but also coming off with two consecutive losses so it's anyone's game here.

265+ lbs Rick Thompson (6-3) vs Artturi Virtanen (10-5)

This Super Heavyweight battle has Knockout of The Night written all over it! Both fighters are HEAVY hitters and have somewhat suspect chins. It will all be up to which one is able to connect first. Rick Thompson is extremely reckless and comes in with guns blazing whereas Virtanen is a little more techical and reserved. Thompson has never been to second round and if you'll come to see this fight you'll know why!

185 lbs Kalle Reinikainen (2-0) vs Dave Dashoo (5-2)

To start this nights great event we have a middleweight battle between NFC hottest prospect "Kuuma" Kalle Reinikainen and "Tohtori" Dave Dashoo. Reinikainen definately has the upper hand here with his insane boxing skills but he's still a little untested in the cage. Dave Dashoo has more experience but skillwise he's the underdog, his only real chance of winning this one is getting the fight to ground as soon as possible!

NFC 60 Apila vs Red 2 preview

Main event:

265 lbs Pertti Apila (11-2) vs Jimmy Red (13-6)

In our main event Pertti Apila meets fellow heavyweight Jimmy Red second time. Last time they fought at NFC 55, where Apila took the majority decision win, although some disagreement where on the air about that decision, as it looked like Red was more effective both on feet and on the ground. This time both fighters surely want to make a unquestionable statement about who is the better fighter. Game plans are probably very similar as last time, Red mixes things up on feet and tries to take Apila to the ground, and Apila tries to knock Red out before the fight hits the ground.

Co-main event:

185 lbs Sampsa Siloposki (13-4) vs Ran Plan III (6-1)

In co-event of the evening Sampsa Siloposki tries to end his own two-fight lose streak and the three-fight win streak of Ran Plan III who has shown very impressive stand-up skills in his past fights, and should be close of getting a title shot if he pulls victory against Sampsa Siloposki. Siloposki is a solid striker with superior Muay Thai skills, and much better ground skills, where as Ran Plan II is more of pure boxer, but he does it well. Plan III has very heavy hands but Siloposki has a really granite chin, so knocking him out won't be easy. Siloposki probably takes a W if this goes to the distance, but if not, it's good night Sampsa.

155 lbs title fight Rolf Thorkildsen (11-3) vs Arto Muna (12-5)

155 lbs championship challenger Arto Muna seems to have all the tools to beat the Champion Rolf Thorkildsen no matter where the fight goes. Muna is a elite level boxer with BJJ black belt, and he has great MT skills too where as Thorkildsen has somewhat better wrestling. But last time these fighters met, it was Thorkildsen who pulled out victory via third round TKO stoppage, although had probably won the previous rounds. Interestingly both fighters have fought against NFC's Mikko Koskinen before. Koskinen knocked Muna out cold, and won unanimous decision against Thorkildsen in their first fight, but in a rematch Thorkilden pulled a submission victory on a third round (Koskinen was winning the fight at that point). So it seems that Thorkildsen really knows how to come back after some initial beating, and whoever wins this fight is probably going to fight Mikko Koskinen again sooner or later... Both fighters have very heavy hands and slick submissions so probably and hopefully this fight wont go the the distance.

265 lbs Pertti Rauta (10-5) vs Janne Maunonen (9-4)

There's probably just one question floating around Pertti Rauta's head: How to get the fight to the clinch. That's where Rauta has big edge, and that's where he would like to punch, knee and slice the face of his opponent Janne Maunonen. Janne Maunonen has better bjj game and he probably tries to take to the ground any means necessary as he tends to cut pretty easily. Rauta got submitted on the first round against Jimmy Red in his last fight, so that's what Maunonen want's to repeat here. If he does not succeed, it's bye bye modelling career of Maunonen.

Preliminary fights on the card:

265 lbs Mikko Kytta (6-4) vs Hessu Hopo (6-0)

205 lbs Terry Uzi (5-1) vs Al Inyourbutt (7-3)

155 lbs Mikko Koskinen (7-1) vs Valdemar Friman (11-5)

185 lbs Stringer Bell (11-10) vs Oiva Tuominen (10-8)

205 lbs vlatko lib (4-3-1) vs Demian Silva (4-2-1)

155 lbs Seppo Sulkijalihas (8-6) vs Jorma Kaki(5-6)

NFC 61 Kullero vs Creaturos preview

Main event:

185 lbs Pasi Kullero (8-0) vs Anthony Creaturos (13-4)

In our main event two highly skilled fighters battle for the title shot, as undefeated Pasi Kullero battles against former NFC middleweight champion Anthony Creaturos! While Pasi Kullero has shown that he is a tough striker who knock anybody out, his pretty untested on the ground. And that's where Anthony Creaturos probably has a big edge. Creaturos quite solid stand-up skills also, but I doubt he want's to stand and bang in front of Kullero, who has used so far only his fist either from distance or from the clinch, with great success. Creaturos has to get this fight to the ground before it's too late, or else he won't be seeing that belt anytime soon.

185 lbs Roibos Fredriksson (10-1) v Amigo Cerveza (11-3-1)

In our co-main event we have another great top-contender fight in the very stacked NFC's middleweight division! Like in the main event, we have a rising star Amigo Cerveza testing his skills against former NFC middleweight champion Roibos Fredriksson. Fredriksson has bit of a edge on standing, especially on the Muya Thai, as Fredriksson has very solid kicks. Fredriksson has better BJJ and nice submissions, but Cerveza has really nasty ground and pound. In his last fight, he got badly rocked by a left hand of Kimbo Lice, but he showed great heart by taking Lice down and pounded away a great first round TKO victory. This is really a fight of the night material, no idea how this is going end!

265 lbs Jiis DeKuyt (7-1-1) v Jeff Sobchak (11-4)

Jiis DeKuyt hasn't lost a fight since his first pro fight in Quick Fight Championships, but is his bit one dimensional game plan, which consist almost entirely from boxing, be enough to earn victory against more well-rounded Jeff Sobchak? Sobchak has quite edgeon MT game and especially in clinch where he likes to hit his opponents with every possible way, and as DeKuyt gets cut pretty easily, that's no doubt key to the victory for Sobchak. Although Sobchak is bit of a bleeder too, so we're probably going to see lot's of blood on the cage here!

185 lbs Aarre Voutilainen (10-5) v Teuvo Loman (11-4)

After the Duel and NFC merger Aarre Voutilainen has had some difficulties, as he is 1-2 in his last three fights against very tough opponents. But in his last fight he suprised everybody as he constantly tried to pull his opponent Anthony Creaturos to his guard from the clinch, although Creaturos has much better grappling skills. So it's hard to predict what Voutilainen is goint to try this time, as he takes on submission ace Teuvo Loman. If Voutilainen plays it clever and manages to keep the fight standing, he should be able to deliver a knockout blow to the Loman's chin, but if Loman takes him to the ground, it should a easy win for Loman.

Preliminary fights on the card:

265+ lbs Kake Luikku (7-4) v Boris Metusalem (11-3)

185 lbs Nisper Ykonen (5-1) v Turim Jursu (7-2)

265 lbs Syltty Tallikone (13-6) v Paul Baller (8-5)

205 lbs Tammelan Fasaani (10-7) v Pekka Perkele (9-6)

170 lbs Jimbo Stapelstaden (8-4) v Harry Sachz (6-4)

NFC 62 Mortenson vs Niskavuori preview

Main event:

170 lbs title fight Jesse Mortensson (15-3) v Palkki Niskavuori (7-0)

In our main event undefeated challenger, Palkki Niskavuori tries dethrone the champion Jesse Mortenson. Niskavuori is a a stand-up fighter with excellent Muay Thai and clinch game, whereas Mortensson is more of a grappler as 9 of his 15 wins are via submission. On paper it seems that Mortensson has beaten easily much more talented opponents than Palkkivuori before, but Niskavuori has beaten many of those guys too. Niskavuori has bit size advantage too, and if he can quickly chop enough Mortensson's legs so that Jesse can't take Palkki to the ground, we could see a new champion. But on the ground, this should be Mortensson's game.

Co-main event:

170 lbs Sergeant Slaughter (8-3) v Fransico Junior (6-2)

In co-main event we have a former title contender Sergeant Slaughter facing Fransico Junio in a fight where won't be many kicks flying. Both guys rely on their hands on their stand-up game. Slaughter wants to finish the fight on the feet, either in our out of clinch, but Junior uses his striking to set up takedowns where he either pounds you out or submits you. These fighters are pretty equally skilled, so it's hard to predict how this will go, but given Slaughters ability to finish all but last of his fights before the full time (win or lose), I'm betting this won't go to decision and I'll give slight edge to Slaughter.

170 lbs Esko Salo (9-3-0-1) v Lucio Vera (9-3)

Another welterweight fight, where where to very equally skilled fighters try to move up in the ranks of talent rich NFC welterweight division. Lucio Vera is bit more well-rounded fighter, who likes to mix everything on the feet, and he has good takedowns and ground and pound as well. Esko Salo has at least as good stand-up skills as Vera, but he uses his wrestling and grappling only for defensive purposes. Could go either way, but Vera will probably take this via decision with his takedowns, unless Salo connects clean with his heavy hands.

205 lbs Juha Suttu (10-2) v Jake Orange (7-2)

Although Jake Orange has big power in his hands and feet, he hasn't been able to finish the fights for a while. It could be now or never situation in this fight, as Juha Suttu has excellent ground game and if Suttu can manage to bring the fight to the mat, Orange will be in big trouble. Suttu was riding on a 10 fight win-streak before Urho Itaniemi landed a nice head kick on the first round of the Suttu's last fight. That's something Jake Orange will no doubt try to replicate with his superior striking and whopping 20cm reach advantage. But those long limbs spell for trouble on the ground. This one has KO of night, submission of the night or even fight of the night potential!

Preliminary fights on the card:

155 lbs Otso Jokinen (5-1) v Hannu Hantta (10-7)

155 lbs Vesku Torni (9-7) v Torsti Turjake (10-6-0-1)

265+ lbs Arttu Loppi (5-5) v Randall Hope (4-0)

185 lbs Tauno Potku (7-3-0-1) v Michael Koch (7-7-0-1)

155 lbs Raimo Tikkari (4-6) v Travis International (4-5)

170 lbs Champ Bombada (3-2) v George Dickson (6-3)

NFC 61 Kullero vs Creaturos review

Main event:

185 lbs Pasi Kullero (8-0) vs Anthony Creaturos (13-4)

This definately was brawler vs grappler matchup as predicted. These two middleweight superstars battled it out for entire 15 minutes. First round went to

Kullero as he pretty much had his way with Creaturos in the standup, late in the round Creaturos had the takedown he'd wanted all long but wasn't able

to do anything in the ground. In second round Creaturos got the takedown again quite early and kept it down with some good GnP winning him the round

but when the last round came Kullero showed what he is made of by completely dominating Creaturos in the standup game winning him the last round 10-8

on the judges scorecard! After this performance Kullero is now ranked as one of the best middleweights on the world but due to the champion already having

titlefight coming up he has to fight one more time to get the shot!

Winner by Unaminous Decicion: Pasi Kullero!

185 lbs Roibos Fredriksson (10-1) v Amigo Cerveza (11-3-1)

Again a middleweight matchup that lasted the entire 15 minutes. And boy was it close one, but not the most entertaining one. We saw both standup and

ground action as Fredriksson and Cerveza are both very well rounded fighters. What made the small difference in the end was Fredrikssons solid leg kicks

which slowed Cerveza down towards the end of the fight. All judges scored it 29-28, declaring the winner Fredriksson!

Winner by Unaminous Decicion: Roibos Fredriksson!

265 lbs Jiis DeKuyt (7-1-1) v Jeff Sobchak (11-4)

Another 15 minute war here, this time between heavyweight fighters DeKuyt and Sobchak and much more entertaining. Again it was very very close decicion.

DeKuyt was able to utilize his boxing skills very well throughout the whole fight and especially in the last round. But what made the judges to score it in Sobchaks

favor was the fact that he was more versatile fighter today, landing a few takedowns, kicks and knees in clinch.

Winner by Unaminous Decicion: Jeff Sobchak!

185 lbs Aarre Voutilainen (10-5) v Teuvo Loman (11-4)

Another razor thin decicion here, the judges didn't have easy time tonight! It just shows the quality of fighters we have here at NFC how either fighter is able

to dominate other. As predicted Voutilainen had clearly the advantage on standup and Loman needed to take the fight to ground to his world. In first round

Voutilainen came inches away from knocking out Loman but was not able to capitalize. Rest of the fight was back and forth, and amazingly BJJ blue belt

Voutilainen was able to avoid Brown belt Lomans submissions!

Winner by Unaminous Decicion: Aarre Voutilainen!

Preliminary fights on the card:

265+ lbs Boris Metusalem (11-3) defeated Kake Luikku (7-4) via Knockout

185 lbs Turim Jursu (7-2) defeated Nisper Ykonen (5-1) by Knockout

265 lbs Syltty Tallikone (13-6) defeated Paul Baller (8-5) by Unaminous Decicion

205 lbs Pekka Perkele (9-6) defeated Tammelan Fasaani (10-7) via Unaminous Decicion

170 lbs Harry Sachz (6-4) defeated Jimbo Stapelstaden (8-4) via Armbar Submission

170 lbs All or Nothing (10-7) defeated Scott Hunt (3-2) via Americana Submission

NFC 62 Mortenson vs Niskavuori review

Main event:

170 lbs title fight Jesse Mortensson (15-3) v Palkki Niskavuori (7-0)

In our main event we had the welterweight title on the line as Champion Mortensson defended his belt against undefeated top contender Niskavuori.

This fight really earned the Fight of The Night honors as it was a thriller! First two round went to Mortensson as he was able to land takedown after takedown

and trying to submit Niskavuori. But as the third round started Mortensson was clearly starting to gas a little and thats when Niskavuori started landing.

Through third and fourth round Niskavuori dominated Mortensson and cut him very badly, had it been stopped then I wouldn't had protested. Out come

the fifth and final round, Niskavuori starts landing nicely again avoiding Mortenssons takedowns for a while. But then Mortensson lands the takedown and

quickly submits Niskavuori with armbar! Insane finish for a great fight!

Winner by Armbar Submission and still the Welterweight Champion: Jesse Mortensson!

Co-main event:

170 lbs Sergeant Slaughter (8-3) v Fransico Junior (6-2)

As the Co-main event we had another welterweight battle as former Duel Champion Sergeant Slaughter took on Fransisco Junior. Slaughter didn't

look like himself tonight, maybe the title fight loss took something out of him... Junior pretty much dominated Slaughter for the whole fight in the

standup and on the ground. Don't get me wrong Slaughter did try but he just wasn't able to land anything significant. And finally with just 4 seconds

left in the fight Slaughter tapped to Triangle choke from Junior.

Winner by Triangle Submission: Fransisco Junior!

170 lbs Esko Salo (9-3-0) v Lucio Vera (9-3)

And yet another welterweight fight here between Esko Salo and Lucio Vera, this division saw some big changes tonight. The fight turned out to be

standup battle despite Veras best attempts to take Salo down. Vera had good success on the standup, winning the second round but overall Salo

was just too accurate. It was no suprise when judges announced Salo the winner after three rounds.

Winner by Unaminous Decicion: Esko Salo!

205 lbs Juha Suttu (10-2) v Jake Orange (7-2)

Once again brawler vs striker matchup here. As the fight started Orange showed his dominance on the standup, landing very nicely as Suttu was

just swinging and missing. After a while Orange knocked Suttu down and waved him back up, then somehow Suttu got the takedown and Orange

was in trouble... Suprisingly Suttu was unable to submit Orange and after just a minute on the ground the referee suddenly and prematurely stood

the fighters up. After that it was not good for Suttu and with just four seconds left on the first round Orangle succeeded to knock Suttu out. Seems

like Suttu has some tough times in adjusting to fighters skills here in Helsinki, he was undefeated in Tokyo and now has two straight losses here.

Hopefully he will be able to get back in winning ways soon!

Winner by TKO: Jake Orange!

Preliminary fights on the card:

155 lbs Hannu Hantta (10-7) defeated Otso Jokinen (5-1) via Unaminous Decicion

155 lbs Torsti Turjake (10-6) defeated Vesku Torni (9-7) via Unaminous Decicion

265+ lbs Randall Hope (4-0) defeated Arttu Loppi (5-5) with Knockout

185 lbs Michael Koch (7-7-0-1) defeated Tauno Potku (7-3-0-1) via Unaminous Decicion

155 lbs Raimo Tikkari (4-6) defeated Travis International (4-5) via TKO(Head Kick)

170 lbs Champ Bombada (3-2) defeated George Dickson (6-3) with Knockout

NFC 63 Topohanta vs Landerson preview

Main event:

265 lbs Pekka Topohanta (14-3-1) v Ludvig Landersson (8-2)

After two back to back losses at NFC PPV cards, former NFC heavyweight champion Pekka Topohanta changed his management team and got back on to the win column at NFC PPV 3 against Abdullah Virtanen. He now faces fast rising heavy hitting boxer Ludvig Landersson, who riding on a three fight win streak. Landersson has change to KO Topohanta, but Topohanta is much taller, heavier and bit more well-rounded fighter with excellent Muay Thai. This could end either way, but I have to give slight edge to the Topohanta.

Co-main event:

265 lbs Steven Fredriksson (12-5) v Mauri Kunnas (12-2-1-1)

In our co-main event to very experienced fighters collide in a match which will probably stay on feet for the whole time. Fredriksson has great punches but not very good MT, whereas Kunnas is is more of a Muay Thai fighter with good clinch game. After losing his title to Pertti Apila at Duel, Kunnas has started a nice run for the NFC title, and this win could get him very close at getting that shot. Fredriksson just had that change, but he lost via TKO on third round against NFC heavyweight champion Veto Remmi. Like the main event, this should be close fight.

205 lbs Mikko Tysooni (11-4-0-1) v Les Grossman (7-4-1)

Classic striker versus grappler match up where Mikko Tyysoni has bit of an edge on feet, but Les Grossman has even bigger edge on grappling department. Grossman previously fought two times against Unski Hallavaara and lost both fights via decision, but Hallavaara is much better wrestler than Tyysoni, although Tyysoni has shown pretty good takedown defense skills in his past fights. If the fight stays on feet, Tyysoni will take this, but I doubt he can knock Grossman out as he has shown in the past that he has granite chin, and all his losses are via decision. On the other hand, Tyysoni has KO power both in his hands and at legs as he showed in his last fight against Alexander Michalski, who Tyysoni knocked out with a devastating head kick on first round.

185 lbs Gunnar Ingi Jr(8-2) v Kalle Kinkeri (12-5-1-1)

Gunnar Ingi Jr has only lost against two fighters, and Kalle Kinkeri has also fought against those guys, winning them both. Ingi has sensational boxing skils, but his Muay Thai and wrestling isn't at the same level as Kinkeri's. Kinkeri has good leg kicks which he will use to slow Ingi down, and on the clinch, he probably has quite a big edge. Kinkeri has had bit difficulties lately with ever increasing talent pool of NFC, having a 1-4 record in his last five fights. So he really needs to pick up a win here against Gunnar Ingi Jr who is maybe a bit step down in competition compared to his latest opponents, although Ingi has shown that he learned from those few losses some time ago, and is having a nice flow towards the top tier of the division.

Preliminary fights on the card:

185 lbs Kimbo Lice (8-5) v Robert Mules (7-3)

205 lbs Mega Fredriksson (6-3) v Terry Uzi (5-2)

205 lbs Needadis Shepard (9-0) v Alexander Michalski (9-6)

185 lbs Pumba Ottavainen (10-5) v Jasser Tiihonen (6-5)

170 lbs Martti Aho (10-9) v Joonatan Roinatan (6-2)

265 lbs Timo Ryti (8-3-1) v Herb Tarlic (8-5)

And second opinion :D

NFC 63 Topohanta vs Landerson Preview

Main event

265 lbs Pekka Topohanta (14-3-1) v Ludvig Landersson (8-2)

For the main event tonight we have a special treat as these two extremely heavyhanded Heavyweights clash! Pekka Topohanta is a former NFC

Champion who has fought with the best ones in the world. After a few losses Topohanta made some changes in management and is now back on

the right track, coming off a victory over Adbullah Virtanen. Topohanta is especially skilled in Muay Thai which is his weapon of choice. His

opponent is Ludvig Landersson, hailing from Sweden is mostly a boxer and has the skills and power to knockout anyone. He is coming off a

straight three wins in NFC and is one of the most promising stars there. This fight is anyones game and too close to predict, also winner of this

one could very well be looking at the next shot at Heavyweight title!

Co-Main Event

265 lbs Steven Fredriksson (12-5) v Mauri Kunnas (12-2-1)

Next up we have another heavyweight battle between Steven Fredriksson and Mauri Kunnas. Fredriksson also went through manager change

lately and is looking to get back on track again. He is former Fire FC Champion and also had a shot at the title in NFC in his last fight. Great fighter

but has not been able to perform consistently enough lately. Facing him is Mauri Kunnas, who has risen through NFC ranks in his last two fights like

a dart. Both fighters prefer standup fighting so don't expect any fancy BJJ action here!

205 lbs Mikko Tysooni (11-4) v Les Grossman (7-4-1)

This Light Heavyweight battle seems really interesting, the two fighters facing off have very differend skills and gameplans. Mikko Tysooni is mostly

a boxer with very little ground game, his wrestling is mostly for stuffing takedowns. But having concentrated mostly on one aspect gives his good

edge there, 7 career Knockouts can do the talking. Les Grossman is the more well rounded here tonight with solid standup skills and great wrestling,

his weapon of choice is clearly GnP. He is coming off two losses, but they were both against the same guy so it's basicly one loss. The one who can

force whether the fight takes place standing or on the ground most likely wins the fight.

185 lbs Gunnar Ingi (8-2) Jr v Kalle Kinkeri (12-5-1)

Here we have two very skilled fighters looking to battle it out. Both fighters are very skilled but somehow have lacked the consistency in their fights

previously. Gunnar Ingi is sensational boxer with basic skills elsewhere. He is coming in with three consecutive wins and is looking very bright

prospect on our middleweight division. Kinkeri on the other hand is little more well rounded but then lacks expertise in any style. He has only 1 win

in his last five fights and is for sure looking to turn the tide. But there is more to it than numbers, if you check out the competition he has faced you'll

notice that 98% of fighters would have lost them too!

Undercard Matches:

185 lbs Kimbo Lice (8-5) v Robert Mules (7-3)

205 lbs Mega Fredriksson (6-3) v Terry Uzi (5-2)

205 lbs Needadis Shepard (9-0) v Alexander Michalski (9-6)

185 lbs Pumba Ottavainen (10-5) v Jasser Tiihonen (6-5)

170 lbs Martti Aho (10-9) v Joonatan Roinatan (6-2)

265 lbs Timo Ryti (8-3-1) v Herb Tarlic (8-5)

NFC 63 Topohanta vs Landerson Review

Main event

265 lbs Pekka Topohanta (14-3-1) v Ludvig Landersson (8-2)

For the main event tonight we had an insane top contender fight at heavyweight division! From the very start Ludvig Landersson showed

his great boxing skills and started banging on Topohanta. Topohanta tried to utilize his MT skills by throwing some kicks but wasn't able to

land them very well. When the fight had went on for just some seconds Landersson already landed a great punch which cut open Topohanta's

face and that was the name of the game throughout the fight. Finally at third round the referee called out a doctor to check Topohantas face,

who then stopped the fight due to cut. Great performance from Landersson who definately earned a shot at the belt next!

Winner by TKO(Cut): Ludvig Landersson!

Co-Main Event

265 lbs Steven Fredriksson (12-5) v Mauri Kunnas (12-2-1)

Todays Co-Main Event featured two heavyweight stars too as Steven Fredriksson and Mauri Kunnas fought it out in the cage. Again it was clear

right from the start where the fight would lead to as Kunnas took the fight to clinch straight away and started punishing Fredriksson with knees

and dirty boxing from inside. This disarmed Fredriksson completely and left him there just taking punishent. He showed good heart though as

he was rocked and knocked down twice in the second round and still stood back up, but eventually Kunnas knocked him out for good. What a s

cary man Kunnas is, this was his third victory in row at NFC and against top end opponents. He's coming for the belt and is there anyone to stop

him?

Winner by Technical Knockout: Mauri Kunnas!

205 lbs Mikko Tysooni (11-4) v Les Grossman (7-4-1)

This Light Heavyweight fight between Tysooni and Grossman was the most even fight of the night. It must have been a nightmare for the judges

to score... Mikko Tysooni was slighty better on the boxing department and 100% dominant in the clinchgame. Les Grossman on the other hand

mixed it up with takedowns and dominated the fight while on the ground. After the bell rang to end the fight judges took their time to score it and

when they finally announced the scores they were 28-29, 28-29, 29-28 declaring the winner by Split decicion, Les Grossman! It could have went

either way but there is no complaining for Tysooni, he should finish next time!

Winner by Split Decicion: Les Grossman!

185 lbs Gunnar Ingi (8-2) Jr v Kalle Kinkeri (12-5-1)

Name of the game in this Middleweight matchup was clinch as 90% of the fight was there. Both Ingi Jr. and Kinkeri had their moments there but

overall Ingi Jr. got the better there. First two rounds they fought mostly in the clinch but when the third round game Ingi Jr changed his gameplan

and started punishing Kinkeri on the outside which took Kinkeri by suprise and Ingi Jr was able to put him to sleep.

Winner by Techical Knockout: Gunnar Ingi Jr

Undercard Matches:

185 lbs Kimbo Lice (8-5) v Robert Mules (7-3)

205 lbs Mega Fredriksson (6-3) defeated Terry Uzi (5-2) via TKO(Cut)

205 lbs Alexander Michalski (9-6) defeated Needadis Shepard (9-0) via Armbar Submission

185 lbs Robert Mules (7-3) defeated Kimbo Lice (8-5) via Unaminous Decicion

185 lbs Pumba Ottavainen (10-5) defeated Jasser Tiihonen (6-5) via Head Kick Knockout

170 lbs Martti Aho (10-9) defeated Joonatan Roinatan (6-2) by Unaminous Decicion

265 lbs Timo Ryti (8-3-1) defeated Herb Tarlic (8-5) with TKO(Punches)

NFC PPV 4 Preview

Main event:

265 lbs title fight Veto Remmi (19-2-1) v Jimmy Red (14-6)

In main event of the evening we have a heavyweight belt on the line as Veto Remmi tries to defend his belt against Jimmy Red! Everybody knows how well rounded fighter Remmi is, and how he often looks underdog in paper but still manages to win in spectacular fashion. Once again his opponent, Jimmy Red, looks to have superior grappling credentials and his Muay Thai looked excellent in his last fight against Pertti Apila, especially on the clinch. That's probably where Red wants to be on feet, as Remmi has a significant reach advatage, which probably gives him an edge on the stand up department. Both fighters have good takedowns and ground game, so it's interesting to see what kind of game plan fighter's camps have developed. This fight has big change of winning the fight of the night, Submission of the night and even the KO of the night award!

Co-main event:

185 lbs title fight Urpo Nyrkki (12-2) v Sampsa Siloposki (14-4)

In our co-main event we have another title fight as NFC middleweight champion Urpo Nyrkki defends his belt first time after winning Anabol Asteroid in their third encounter. Some people thought that Sampsa Siloposki didn't earn this title shot as he is only 1-2 in his last three fights (one against Nyrkki), but because some scheduling things and grudges behind the scenes Siloposki gets the rematch against Nyrkki in a fight for the championship belt. Both fighters have solid stand up skills, the ground game is bit mystery especially in Nyrkki's case. Although Nyrkki dominated Siloposki in their last fight, these guys are very equally skilled and this could go either way.

205 lbs Tomi Koski (15-3) v Unski Hallavaara (16-4)

After somewhat shocking loss against Urho Itaniemi in NFC PPV 3, Tomi Koski tries to get back on the win column against Unski Hallavaara, who he submitted in NFC 42 long time ago. Both fighters have developed much from those days, so that fight doesn't really give much clues how this fight will play out. Koski has maybe a slight edge on feet and on BJJ, but Hallavaara has better wrestling which gives him the change to dictate where the fighting takes place. Hallavaara is riding on a 4 fight win-streak and this is his change to rise to the upper echelon of the light heavyweight division of the world. I'll give small edge to Koski but wouldn't want to bet money against either one of these fine athletes.

185 lbs Roibos Fredriksson (11-1) v Anabol Asteroid (15-6)

Former NFC middleweight champion tries to drop one title contender out of his way, as he faces off highly talented Roibos Fredriksson, who's only loss of his career is against Asteroid at NFC PPV 2. As Asteroid is quite one dimensional boxer, Fredriksson mixes things up with excellent kicks, clinchgame and takedowns, and on the ground he has some submission skills. In their last fight, Fredriksson won the first two rounds, but then Asteroid started to find his range and dominated the last three rounds. Let's see if Fredriksson can pace himself bit better this time, or will Asteroid show good heart once again and grind a victory.

Preliminary fights on the card:

265 lbs Pertti Apila (11-3) v Janne Maunonen (10-4)

After losing number one contender fight against Jimmy Red, Pertti Apila once again tries to get himself back on track towards the title fight. But his opponent Janne Maunonen is no joke, as he has superior grappling credentials, and if he can take Apila to the ground, this should be Maunonen's night to shine. Apila has bit reach advantage, but other than that, their stand up skills are pretty equal. Maunonen is on a good run, he has one 6 of his last seven fights, and the only loss came against Jimmy Red via Cut, so if Maunonen can win this, his probably close of getting a title shot.

265+ lbs Aalio Paalio (11-5) v Rick Thompson (7-3)

This fight has TKO written all over it! All the wins and even the losses of the both fighters have come via TKO/KO, and most of those even on the first round! Although all losses of Paalio are actually via cut, so there's nothing wrong in his chin, just his skin. Paalio and Thompson did fight at NFC 53 where Paalio finished Thompson on the first round, but Paalio was more bloodied up fighter there, and the TKO via cut wasn't far there, so this could go either way!

170 lbs Hokkus Pokkus (4-0) v Felix Flashlighter (14-8)

Undefeated Muay Thai specialist Hokkus Pokkus tries to enter the big boys league as he faces a very experienced and well rounded Felix Flashlighter. Pokkus has finished three of his last fights via head kick, so Flashfighter certainly knows what to expect. But can he stop it happening? All but one of the Flashlighter's losses are via decision, so he isn't easy man to finish. On the other hand, most of his wins are via decision also, so this fight could go to the distance. Unless Flashlighter takes Pokkus down where he has a huge advantage and great change of submitting or pounding Pokkus out.

265 lbs Pertti Rauta (10-6) v Mitchell Stehling (6-3)

Former Olympic wrestler Mitchell Stehling tries to show his MMA skills in the NFC as he tries faces Pertti Rauta who still lacks the first win in the NFC after three fights. His strenghts are in the clinch, but can he control Stehling there, or will Stehling take him down? Or it could be that Stehling tries to show his improved striking and keep the fight on feet. We'll see.

155 lbs Tatau Bloodgood (6-2) v Mikko Koskinen (7-2)

Boxing phenomenon Tatau Bloodgood squares off against another talented boxer, Mikko Koskinen. Both have heavy hands, but Bloodgood is the only one of the two fighters who have been knocked out, as both losses of Koskinen are via submission. And Koskinen has faced elite boxers before and won, so although Bloodgood looks bit more dangerous on feet, it could be the physical strenghts of chin and fists which could turn this fight to Koskinen's favour.

185 lbs Seppo Hanska (12-7) v Kalle Reinikainen (3-0)

Undefeated Kalle Reinikainen meets a experienced Seppo Hanska who has tools to beat Reinikainen both on feet as on ground. Reinikainen has better BJJ, but that didn't stop Hanska in his last fight where he took brown belt Michael Koch to the ground and beat him there, earning a decision victory. If Reinikainen can keep this fight on the feet, I'll give him edge, but if not, It's Hanska's game.

NFC 64 Kalske vs Kroton Preview

Main event:

265+ lbs title fight Hemmo Kalske (8-0) v Milo Kroton (7-1-0-1)

Our main event of the night is the superheavyweight title fight between the

undefeated NFC champion Hemmo Kalske and tough challenger, iFight champion Milo

Kroton! Kalske is of course known for his vicious Muay Thai, whereas Kroton is more

of a grappler with excellent wrestling and ground and pound. Kalske hasn't fought

against wrestlers of this caliber before, so it's interesting to see if can Kroton

take him down before he gets destroyed on feet, and if the fight goes to the ground,

what kind of skills Kalske has there.

185 lbs Pasi Kullero (9-0) v Aarre Voutilainen (11-5)

In our co-main event we have a number one contender Pasi Kullero fighting a rematch

against Aarre Voutilainen before getting a title shot against Sampsa Siloposki. But

first he has to show that his last victory against Voutilainen wasn't a accident.

Both guys have excellent boxing skills with heavy hands, and not much interest to go

to the ground, so we have a great change of seeing a KO of the night here!

265 lbs Mikko Kytta (7-4) v Luola Mies (10-5-0-1)

Another great stand up war coming up! Mikko Kytta is riding on a 6 fight win streak, with nice head kick KO's and couple other finishes. Luola Mies is very experienced brawler who likes dirty box on the clinch and as he has a big size advantage over Kytta, so he probably has a slight edge on feet. And probably on ground too, but I don't think either fighter wants to go there.

205 lbs Abdi Muhammed (5-0) v Sepi Kumpulainen (4-0)

Two undefeated light heavyweight fighters collide in a fight which should end in a quick finish on a feet. Sepi Kumpulainen has finished all his fights in under a three minutes via TKO, and Muhammed has also finished all his five fights via KO/TKO in first or second round. Kumpulainen is maybe slightly more skilled fighter, but as both fighters are most likely coming to just stand and bang, this could go either way. It's all about who starts stronger and finishes faster.

Preliminary fights on the card:

170 lbs Lucio Vera (9-4) v Harry Sachz (7-4)

265 lbs Lasse Lukottaja (9-5-0-1) v Roddy Bowes (8-6)

170 lbs Will Power (4-0) v Gunmetal Grey (11-6-1)

265+ lbs Kake Luikku (7-5) v Artturi Virtanen (10-6)

265 lbs T Rex (11-7-1) v James Dille (9-6)

185 lbs Benjamin Nappula (5-0) v Bobby Fingers (3-1)

NFC 67 Itaniemi vs Koski 2 Preview

Main event:

205 lbs title fight Urho Itaniemi (17-1) v Tomi Koski (16-3)

In main event we have a rematch between the current NFC light heavyweight champion Urho Itaniemi and the former champion Tomi Koski. They met previously on NFC's PPV 3 card, where Itaniemi knocked Koski out with a beatiful uppercut in second round. After that fight, Itaniemi KO'ed Gilbert Schilt at VFC, and Koski defeated Unski Hallavaara via unanimous decision at PPV 4. It's interesting to see what kind of game plan Koski has here, as he does have nice grappling skills too, whereas Itaniemi is more of a pure striker. This is really fight of the night material!

Co-main event:

185 lbs Urpo Nyrkki (12-3) v Roibos Fredriksson (11-2)

After finally winning the NFC middleweight belt from Anabol Asteroid in their third battle, Urpo Nyrkki had to give it up to Sampsa Siloposki in their rematch, and now Nyrkki is trying to get back to the title contention against Roibos Fredriksson, who has only lost twice in his career, and both of those defeats are against Asteroid. Roibos Fredriksson is more well rounded fighter with excellent Muay Thai and good grappling skills, and he can finish the fight everywhere, whereas Nyrkki likes to rely mostly on his fists. This should be exciting battle which can end either way.

265 lbs Jimmy Red (14-7) v Mauri Kunnas (13-2-1-1)

Mauri Kunnas is having a good run and with victory over latest title challenger Jimmy Red, he could have the next opportunity for heavyweight belt. But that wont be easy, as Red is very well rounded fighter with good striking skills and huge edge on grappling department. If Red can take the fight to the ground, it should be easy victory for him, but on feet it's harder to predict the outcome. Kunnas has bit reach advantage which could help him as he probably wants to keep the fight at the distance, although he does have excellent clinchgame.

265+ lbs Rick Thompson (8-3) v Boris Metusalem (12-3-0-1)

Two superheavyweight sluggers battle for the shot at the title in a fight which shouldn't go to the distance. All of Rick Thompson's fights have ended via first round TKO/KO, win or lose. Last time Boris Metusalem defeated Thompson via TKO in under two minutes, but that was in NFC 46, so both fighters have improved a lot from those days. Thompson's reach advantage could be a key to the victory here, but as both fighters have heavy hands, this could end either way.

Preliminary fights on the card:

185 lbs Ran Plan III (6-2) v Amigo Cerveza (12-4-1)

205 lbs Mega Fredriksson (7-3) v Mikko Tysooni (11-5-0-1)

185 lbs Pumba Ottavainen (11-5) v Robert Mules (8-3)

265 lbs Peter North (7-5) v Paul Baller (8-6)

205 lbs Needadis Shepard (9-1) v Miksu Rupunen (11-6)

155 lbs Eino Juutilainen (9-7) v Mikko Koskinen (7-3)

NFC 67 Itaniemi vs Koski 2 Review

Event Rating: 205.71

Main event:

205 lbs title fight Urho Itaniemi (17-4) v Tomi Koski (16-3)

For the main event we had a rematch between our current LHW Champion and the man he took the belt from. Last time they met Urho shocked the world by knocking out Koski for the first time ever. This time he wasn't able to do that as Koski was prepared. At first round Koski was almost able to submit Itaniemi but he was saved by the bell, after that Itaniemi started to pick up the pace and start landing some bombs. The fight went on mostly in outside, just a few times would they hit the ground or clinch up. After 5 rounds of fighting we went to judges scorecard who scored it 49-46 to the winner and still the Lightheavyweight champion, Urho Itaniemi! Tomi Koski did land more shots overall but Itaniemi clearly did more damage, which the judges thankfully saw.

Winner By Unaminous Decicion: Urho Itaniemi!

Co-main event:

185 lbs Urpo Nyrkki (12-3) v Roibos Fredriksson (11-2)

In the Co-main event we had a match between middleweight contenders Urpo Nyrkki and Roibos Fredriksson. This fight definately earned the Fight of The Night honors, as it was full action packed 15 minutes. Former champion Nyrkki was concentrating mostly on his boxing skills, clearly going for the knockout. Fredriksson on the other hand was more so utilizing his MT skills and relied heavily on the kicks. Well it didn't take long for those kicks to start taking toll on Nyrkkis movement and slowly they disarmed Nyrkki completely. Interestingly Fredriksson didn't go for the kill when he had the chance but rather kept on his gameplan and punishing Nyrkkis legs and body.

Winner by Unaminous Decicion: Roibos Fredriksson!

265 lbs Jimmy Red (14-7) v Mauri Kunnas (13-2-1-1)

Next up we had a heavyweight battle between two extremely skilled fighters, Former top contender Jimmy Red and Mauri Kunnas. Unfortunately their skills did negate each other a bit and both fighters came in with quite cautious approach. What made the difference in judges eyes was the takedowns and ground control of Jimmy Red. He wasn't able to do much on the ground after the takedowns but it still scores points and everyone knows that so there is no complaining for Kunnas.

Winner by Unaminous Decicion: Jimmy Red!

265+ lbs Rick Thompson (8-3) v Boris Metusalem (12-3-0-1)

Boom! This fight was exactly what everyone expected with Rick "Tiny" Thompson coming to the cage. It came close but he didn't not break his streak of 1 round fights! This time he was knocked out instead of being the knocker. Boris Metusalem had a great gameplan coming into the fight, clinching up quickly and punching Thompson until he went out.

Winner by TKO: Boris Metusalem!

Preliminary fights on the card:

185 lbs Ran Plan III (6-2) defeated Amigo Cerveza (12-4-1) via Unaminous Decicion

205 lbs Mikko Tysooni (11-5) defeated Mega Fredriksson (7-3) via Unaminous Decicion

185 lbs Pumba Ottavainen (11-5) defeated Robert Mules (8-3) via Unaminous Decicion

265 lbs Peter North (7-5) defeated Paul Baller (8-6) via TKO(Cut)

205 lbs Needadis Shepard (9-1) defeated Miksu Rupunen (11-6) via Unaminous Decicion

155 lbs Mikko Koskinen (7-3) defeated Eino Juutilainen (9-7) by Knockout (KO of the Night)

NFC PPV 5 Preview

Main event:

265+ lbs Hemmo Kalske (9-0) v Ernesti Vihervaara (11-0)

In our main event we have a superfight between the NFC superheavyweight champion Hemmo Kalske and the VCF's undefeated heavyweight champion Ernesti Vihervaara who now tests his skills in superheavyweight division. It's hard to predict the outcome of this fight, but I have a feeling this fight wont last long! Winner of this bout will no doubt rise to the best SHW fighter in the world!

Co-main event:

185 lbs title fight Sampsa Siloposki (15-4) v Pasi Kullero (10-0)

In our co-main event we have NFC middleweight belt on the line, as the champion Sampsa Siloposki defends his belts against hard hitting Pasi Kullero. Undefeated Pasi Kullero is mostly a boxer, whereas Siloposki has also excellent Muay Thai game, and he has lately showed nice improvements in ground game also. They fought against each other also at NFC 58, where Kullero won comfortably via unanimous decision, so he goes to this fight as an slight favourite, although Siloposki has more tools to beat Kullero if his team can find a proper game plan for this bout.

155 lbs title fight Rolf Thorkildsen (12-3) v Junior Lessard (11-1)

In lightweight title fight the champion Rolf Thorkildsen tries to defend his belt against Junior Lessard. Thorkildsen is very well rounded fighter who is excellent on ground. It's his clinchgame we havent seen much, and that's on of the Lessard 's main areas of expertise. Lessard would of course like to keep this standing, and by utilising his great low kicks to slow Thorkildsen down he might be able to do that. But Thorkildsen has huge power on his hands, and he finished elite level boxer Arto Muna on feet in his last fight, so Lessard has to be careful also on feet.

170 lbs title fight Jesse Mortensson (16-3) v Esko Takanen (17-5-1)

On welterweight division title fight, thechampion Mortensson and the challenger Takanen are riding on a five and six fight win streaks. Mortenson is a ground specialist with excellent submissions, whereas Takanen is a great stand up fighter who really likes to head hunt is opponents. Both fighters are very experienced veterans, but this fight is all about Mortenson trying to get Takanen to the ground, and Takanen tries to use his superior striking to stop Mortensson?

265 lbs Pekka Topohanta (14-4-1) v Mikko Kytta (8-4)

Pekka Topohanta has had some difficulties lately, as he is 1-3-1 in his last five fights. This time his opponent Mikko Kytta looks to be an underdog in every aspect of the game, except the fact that Kytta's self confidence is probably on totally different level, as he is riding on a 7 fight win-streak, and the last six have ended via KO or TKO. If Kytta can pull victory here, he will no doubt rise to the top of the food chain of the NFC's stacked heavyweight division.

205 lbs Ni Hao (13-4) v Abdi Muhammed (6-0)

Here we have a battle between NFC newcomer Ni Hao and undeafeated Abdi "Veli" Muhammed. Judging quickly Hao seems to be the slightly better skilled and more experienced fighter whereas Muhammed has the weight and height advance. And of course zero losses for him says something. You BJJ fans can go grap a beer during this fight as we wont be seeing any fancy ground action! Don't drink too long though as these fighter have all their wins through KO's some a quick finish can happen too...

265 lbs Vlad Tepez (8-0) v Janne Maunonen (10-5)

Just having joined the NFC Vlad Tepez steps it up right away as he is facing his toughest challenge ever today. That challenge is Janne Maunonen, a NFC HW veteran with insane skills. We'll not that insane when compared to Tepez, just a tiny bit better. Anyway the undefeated Tepez seems to favour the standup more where Maunonen is more used to ground fighting. I won't go onto guessing which one will win, I'll just hope they fight their heart out and into ours!

170 lbs Sergeant Slaughter (8-4) v Esko Salo (10-4)

Former Duel Welterweight Champion Sergeant Slaughter is coming on to the cage to meet fellow contented Esko Salo. Slaughter is coming off a 2 tough losses and Salo one so someone is going to turn their tide back towards title contention here tonight! Skillwise Salo would seem as a favorite but Slaughter has proved himself in the cage again and again, having huge knockout power in his hands he could pull of an upset.

155 lbs Tatau Bloodgood (7-2) v Otso Jokinen (6-2)

Heh, #9 fight on the card is propably the best if counted in pure skills! These two lightweights are insanely skilled but still quite early on their career. Our LW Champion Thorkildsen should keep a close eye to this fight as winner here is going to be a real threat to his throne. Tatau Bloodgood showed the world his skills on his first appearance at NFC by defeatin former champion Koskinen. Facing him is Otso Jokinen, a wrestler packed with great boxing and bjj skills. He can rape you standing up and in the ground. Oh also don't forget, he is managed by the world famous Opa Jokinen. This fight is definately FOTN material right here!

185 lbs Teuvo Loman (11-5) v Kalle Reinikainen (4-0)

And to start off the night we have a middleweight matchup between NFC veteran Teuvo Loman and Opa Jokinen's hottest new prospect "Kuuma" Kalle Reinikainen. Teuvo Loman is pretty much purely a ground fighter with great wrestling and BJJ whereas Reinikainen is packed with insane boxing skills. It's do or die for Loman as he needs to get the fight to ground as soon as possible because he won't be able to stand and bang with Reinikainen for long.

NFC 68: Remmi vs Apila preview

Main event:

265 lbs title fight Veto Remmi v Pertti Apila

In our main event Veto Remmi once again tries to defend his belt against new challenger, Pertti Apila. Apila was close of having title shot earlier, but he lost to Jimmy Red in their rematch at NFC 60 so Red got the first try. Now Apila tries to end the 9 fight win streak of Remmi, but does he has what it takes to dethrone the mystical Remmi, who somehow always seems to find his way to the victory?

Co-main event:

205 lbs Unski Hallavaara v Jake Orange

Two excellent strikers collide in co-main event, as Unski Hallavaara tries to rebound from his loss to Tomi Koski by facing a young but experienced Jake Orange. Orange has slight edge on Muay Thai, and he usually throws bit more kicks than Hallavaara, who relies more on his boxing. Although in clinch, Hallavaara seems to be bit more versatile. Orange has slight reach advantage, which combined with his excellent low kicks could spell trouble for Hallavaara.

155 lbs Valdemar Friman v Torsti Turjake

This fight could end either way via any kind of way. Both fighters are extremely well rounded with great striking and ground game, so this fight is all about the game planning and preparation, and bit of luck. No idea how this plays out.

265+ lbs Aalio Paalio v Milo Kroton

Striker versus grappler match up by big boys. Paalio is a a real KO machine, all of his wins have come via KO or TKO, and usually in a first round. But all of his six losses have come via cut, so if Kroton can take Paalio to the ground and land some nasty elbows, it should be over again. Although Paalio has gone complete facial surgery and he claims that the skin in his face isn't paper thin anymore, I doubt it helps.

Preliminary fights on the card:

265 lbs Jiis DeKuyt v Roddy Bowes

170 lbs Lucio Vera v Felix Flashlighter

265 lbs Syltty Tallikone v Timo Ryti

265 lbs Antti Haapasalo v Herb Tarlic

265 lbs James Dille v Lou Cifer Jr

205 lbs Tammelan Fasaani v Emil Pasanen

NFC 68: Remmi vs Apila review

Main event:

265 lbs title fight Veto Remmi (20-2-1) v Pertti Apila (13-3)

Another contender stood up again to try and take the much wanted NFC Heavyweight belt from the Champion Veto Remmi. Pertti Apila came into fight well prepared, and at very early the fight seemed quite even. Unfortunately Apila was swinging for the fences a little too wildly and Remmi being more cautious was able to land some hard leg kicks, a combination which took the gas out of Apilas tank way too early. After that it was all Remmi, landing insane amounts of punches and kicks through the 25 minutes of the fight. Gotta give respect for Apila though for lasting that punishment! When the bell rang it was 100% clear who would win.

Winner by Unaminous Decicion and still the Heavyweight Champion: Veto Remmi!

Co-main event:

205 lbs Unski Hallavaara (16-5)v Jake Orange (9-2)

In the Co-Main event we had a battle between Light Heavyweight contenders Unski Hallavaara and Jake Orange. It was predicted that Hallavaara would have the edge in clinch and Orange could be trouble with his kicks. Well that prediction was exactly accurate, the first two rounds Hallavaara took the fight to clinch as soon as possible and just punished Orange without mercy, mostly dirty boxing but mixing it up with some elbows & knees. Somehow at last round Orange picked up his pace and started landing some kicks and was able to keep the fight out of clinch but it was too little too late.

Winner by Unaminous Decicion: Unski Hallavaara!

155 lbs Valdemar Friman (13-5) v Torsti Turjake (12-6)

Next up we had a Lightweight top contender fight with winner earning the title shot against the champion Junior Lessard. Frimans Muay Thai skills were a big threat to Turjake when training for the fight but when the fight actually happened Turjake was able to pretty much completely shut down that threat. The fight was pretty much Turjake attacking and Friman just trying to survive. I wouldn't have expected it to be so one sided but Turjake clearly had a great gameplan coming into fight!

Winner by Unaminous Decicion: Torsti Turjake!

265+ lbs Aalio Paalio (11-6) v Milo Kroton (7-2)

Whoa what a fight at the Super Heavyweight division between Aalio Paalio and Milo Kroton! From the start it was clear what each fighter wanted, Paalio swinging wildly trying to get the knockout and Kroton trying to get to ground and finish there. First round was all Kroton, quick takedown and ground control. He didn't do much damage but still dominated. Second round same thing just a little closer as Paalio was able to land some more punches. Third round... Early takedown for Kroton, looking bad for Paalio having lost two previous rounds. Referee stands them up because nothing is happening on the ground and Paalio starts swinging just wildly knowing he needs the finish... And finally with less than half minute left on the clock Paalio does it, first rocks Kroton with a jab and then finishes the business with a perfect right hand! What a thriller!

Winner by Knockout: Aalio Paalio!

Preliminary fights on the card:

265 lbs Roddy Bowes (9-6) defeated Jiis DeKuyt (8-2-1) via TKO(Cut)

170 lbs Felix Flashlighter (15-8) defeated Lucio Vera (10-3) by Unaminous Decicion

265 lbs Syltty Tallikone (14-6) defeated Timo Ryti (9-3-1) with Technical Knockout

265 lbs Antti Haapasalo (6-3) defeated Herb Tarlic (8-6) via Knockout

265 lbs James Dille (10-6) defeated Lou Cifer Jr (11-12) with Triangle Submission

205 lbs Tammelan Fasaani (10-8) defeated Emil Pasanen (8-6) via Unaminous Decicion
