New Hidden Attribute?

We have the choice of Natural KO power when we create a fighter, so why don't we have something for the ground guys like "natural grappling ability" or "natural grappler"?

I know i'll probably get my head torn off for this suggestion but i think it would even out the stand up advantage we currently have and the natural KO power hidden, making the ground and stand up games more even without changing the whole system more towards the ground game.

What do you guys think?

For pure games sake, I understand it, but in reality, not so much. You have guys that just naturally have ko power (in my opinion, some will argue against it, but I don't want to get into that), but grappling? You have natural flexibility sure, but as far as technique, I don't see it. Also how would you implement this? You can't just throw in a hidden.

there's a thread that talks about introducing a new "natural athlete" hidden. the thread was started by mike t to kick up some convo about physical degradation and that sort of thing. in that thread he mentioned a way to implement a new hidden to all players without fukn over the older fighters. it was sumthin' like totally random, an average of ur current hiddens or pick a number were the choices i think. anyway, i think it was a good idea and seemed rather fair to give folks a choice in how to go about "setting" the hidden.

while i think that some guys can ko and some guys can't (which i've witnessed first hand), i don't think some guys sub and some guys can't. to me, it's purely a technique thing...but i don't pay too much to grappling other than what i see when i watch some ufc ppv so i'm not really the guy to dicuss or speak in absolutes on this issue. i do like the idea tho...kinda.

I think it's very relevant in real life and in the game. For example BJ Penn won the world BJJ championships with a blue belt, Werdum and Gonzaga won championships when they were brown and beat black belts. The opposite is the KO power guys, eg. Carwin in the clinch knocked out Mir with only like a 10cm swing just because he had so much power. Lesnar's hammerfists to Mir were also a demonstration of KO power.

There are plenty of other examples that i cant be bothered to think of at the moment but probably the best example of this topic i can think of is a guy nameed Gunnar Nelson, hes a 21 year old from Iceland and hes a freeeeeak on the ground. He won world titles and everything with a brown belt and is a welterweight and placed 3rd or something in the absolute weight division at the abu dabi grappling championships, even beating Jeff Monson. His trainer is Henzo Gracie (or one of the other Gracies) and they said he was one of the most naturally gifted grappler's they had ever seen and was beating black belts at blue and purple belt.

Seriously google Gunnar Nelson, i just think this would even out the playing field without completely overhauling the system and making the ground game stronger.

Yikes, it's hard to convince anyone you know jiu jitsu when you spell Renzo Gracie as Henzo Gracie....

and Bj fought Renzo Gracie in mma, not sure if they have a teacher-student relationship.. :P

Wouldnt it be a better option to add more sliders? I think the problem is that it is way to easy to neturalize a submission specialist using counter / control. I think that its much harder to set correct sliders on the feet than on the ground, and another slider, maybe to determine how aggresive you are going to pursue submissions (or something else) would make the game much better.

Especially since we have (As I understand it) two hiddens that affects ground fighting in experience and intelligence.
