Manny Baddabing won the title on a warm night on the island in July in a hard-fought decision in a battle that took place all over the cage. Baddabing, a former Boondock Fight League and Victory Fight League champion, has an unblemished record in Blitzkrieg against some of the best competition in the world. After debuting at BFC 69 with a decision victory over Shachlo Popyachtsa, Manny defeated Fedor Belfort for the title at BFC 78 and has followed that up with successful title defenses against Hiro Protagonist, Bumba Motumbo(in a Blitz-TDC unification), Richard Bennett and Harjan Varsi. Fedor Belfort, himself a former Samurai Fight League champion, looked unbeatable when first debuting in Blitz with a dominating victory over Dag Luther at BFC 35. Belfort would end up winning the MW title from Robbie Balboa at BFC 44 and follow that up with 3 successful title defenses before the first fight with Baddabing. Belfort would follow up the devastating loss to Baddabing with a second loss to former title challenger Richard Bennett, but has since been on an amazing three fight run including a quick victory over former EUFC MW and LHW Champion Rolf Jackson. While each man prefers the ground game, the first encounter between these two rarely hit the mat. What will happen when these two gods of the cage meet for a second time?
