I actually think effectiveness is about inflicting damage, and no questions that Benson outclassed Frankie in this aspect. Frankie threw more strikes, but not enough to give Benson a scratch in his face. Benson on the other hand bullied Frankie since round 2.

IMO, the fact that there are calls in ea and every Frankie Edgar's title defenses for a rematch sounds pretty odd. The guy just doesn't seem to be convincingly dominant to keep the belt.

I really think he should drop.

I had 4 rounds to 1 Edgar. I can definitely see 3 to 2. I didnt think Hendo did enough to take the title. I know Edgar's face was busted, but I thought except for a lucky up-kick, Henderson didnt really do consistent damage. Edgar was more consistently scoring points in all aspects.

All the damage Hendo did came pretty much in the second round, but he was a way more dangerous fighter than Franky. Hendo overall still did more damage and put Franky in trouble a couple of times.

I never felt like Franky was in trouble except for the up-kick. Although Benson was in the center of the cage for the whole fight, I felt like Edgar was doing exactly what he wanted most of the time. His stick and move was effective and his wrestling was more effective than Benson.

Round by round scoring, I think Edgar won. To take the title from the champ, you need to do something. I didn't think he did enough. I even gave the round with the up-kick to Edgar. And I thought Edgar won the 5th round easily.
