Syn: Supernova IV

Recommended Posts

Jafar Agrabah is the newly crowned Lightweight champion here at SYN and his first task is on superfight duty against EUFC's new champion Happy Day. Agrabah is one of the highest skilled Lightweights on the planet and loves to throw some big headkicks and take you out. Day is the same style of fighter with some power behind his shots and loves to scrap. The interesting thing to note here is both fighters are brown belts at BJJ and both have submission victories in the past which makes me think that could be a element in this fight if one or the other decides to get this fight to the ground if its going bad standing up. Either way this will be a memorable superfight here at this historic syn card.

jafar and i would personally like to thank the writer of THAT.

we didn't plan on being behind or coming from behind but we did plan on a submission victory...solely becuz of that sentence. funny how the little things can inspire.

Snake vs Tonal plz

I told Mentor to send Snake an offer so the ball is in Jackys court now. It really bothers me to once again give Jacky the match up he wants after he ducked with Bomb but with Bomb going down STP is probably the #3 lhw and I've already fought Gristle.

Synchronicity presents SuperNova lV

by BrotherHec

Intro

Well..Here it is...SYNCHRONICITY'S SUPERNOVA 4! Can anyone else say FINALLY!? This is what so many people have been waiting for. This card was so good it took SYN from being he 13th ranked global fight organization to becoming the 2nd and putting them first in Vegas. Now being that im from Vegas i am thrilled to be writing for such an Org as this. Traditionally i only do 5 writeups but this card was so big i had to try and get everyone on. I have one interview placed in here from Martel and i really hope you enjoy this. Ladies and Gents i present to you BrotherHecs very first work for Synchronicity, SUPERNOVA IV REVIEW! Lets get started!

Luke Daigle vs Bulk Bogan

The beginning fight for the night scored a 100% fight rating and the man they call Luke Daigle showed that experince isnt always the reason why people win fights. Completely outscoring Bulk Bogan on the standup he outscored him everywhere. Bogan was able to secure one take down at one point but Daigle kicked off almost immediately and to me that was very great to show that kind of ability. Not once after was Bogan able to take him back to his feet. Daigle immediately continue to show his striking skills landing a majority of those he threw. Bogan landed some of his own but there was no chance for him as Daigle proved why he should be fighting on this card. Mixing his kicks between low and middle in the second round he randomly threw a high kick that was timed so correctly Bogan hit the floor and his mouthpiece literally fell out seconds after he hit the floor. Daigle was far to quick for Bogan and outmatched him altogether. The young phenom is steadily making a name for himself and in a few months he really will be someone people will remember. It was a sad defeat for Bogan as he came off of four very impressive knockouts but Daigle is serious probably more serious than anyone Bogan has ever faced with more power than anyone he has faced. Congrats to you Luke Daigle and i look forward to writing more Reviews and eventually Previews for you! Bulk Bogan i hope to see you back in action earning those TKOS as well!

William Barker Vs Jake Young

William Barker Vs Jake Young was no doubt about it one fantastic three rounder with the end result so close it was hard to argue who own. The first round was easily Jake Youngs round. His work ethic was so much more impressive and on point but something clicked by the beginning of the second round it was almost as if William had realized he was in a fight and decided to begin fighting back more effectively winning the second round. This would all come down to a very impressive third round that William Barker would show he is worthy to fight for the title. With the fight being incredibly even the entire fight it was most likely the two takedowns that Barker did score and the ground n pound he began showing that was just stunning the audience who was all applauding from their seats. William Barker came in very prepared for this fight but Jake Young obviously did not take this fight easy either. The two did swing and came for the glory. When the announcer had proclaimed Barker as the winner of the fight he was so excited telling everyone he wanted to do things that people did not expect from him and the fans couldnt help but applaud for him. The 79% fight rating was the lowest fight rating score of the night and that was still very high! Barker and Young thankyou both for putting on a very impressive show! Barker i wish you luck on you title fight coming up!

Charles Martel Vs Kid Torres

Now on a card packed with talent that stretches beyond the imagination i know everyone had a fight they were excited about and this was personally mine. Imma fan of hype! I believe the hype! Kid Torres went around running his mouth about how he was going to destroy Martel, how he was the best and in the end the man with his hand raised was Charles Martel. In the first round Martel came out rushing Torres almost immediately and Torres side stepped out of the way. WIth a clinch put in effect he was looking to damage but Marels aggresive nature and his clean defense did not allow Torres to much damage except for a slice on Martels face. This was definitely a fight of pure hate these two did not like each other, at least thats what was understood to be of the two. By the second round the defense of the two was impenetrable it would seem the two would throw and the other would continue to block. Finally, at the close of the round Martel would have the final point given to him by the judges. For all five rounds they continued to do the same things. Trading shots with defensive blocks. By the end of it you would have to score it for Martel who outscored Torres by a landslide victory of strikes. Even though Torres landed almost every strike he threw, he did not throw many especially not as many as Martel. At the end of the fight Martel said,"I would like to thank SYN for putting the fight together...As far as im concerned the beef is squashed and we now know who the better fighter is." With so much intrigue i pulled Charles aside and asked him a few questions about the fight.: 1.) How did you feel getting signed to fight Torres? "I was stoked to fight torres. I had been calling him out in the media forever but it seemed like he kept coming up with excuses not to fight me. He knew what would happen when we would fight and he was trying to avoid the loss is all. 2.) How did it feel defeating Torres? "It was bittersweet actually. I was pumped for this fight the second fight contracts were signed. I really wanted to finish Torres so he couldnt run his mouth saying the judges made a bad decision. Overall im extremely happy to have defeated him. 3.) What are your plans from here? "Ive had so much tunnel vision coming into this fight that i havent given much thought on where ill go from here. Ive got some good offers already and i think ill just enjoy this win for a few days while i think whats best for me next. My manager is holding an event in the LA coliseum in a few weeks so ill just hang out here." After ending my interview with him i personally asked him what fights he was looking for and no doubt he like everyone else was ready to see the Puno/Bubba fight. He was also really impressed with the Snakes win and said he is starting to believe the hype on this guy. Well Charles Martel i want to wish you congrats and enjoy your days of relaxation! Hopefully i can see you back here in Synchronicity!

Forever War Vs Alex Jackson

Forever War Vs Alex Jackson was a battle of epic proportions where the stand up war was dominated by one fighter more than the other and the takedowns were stuffed 8 of the 12 times. This fight went all 5 rounds one of the only fights on the card that went the entire distance. It was a full on back and forth fight that was really never dominated the fight. It was a true test of endurance as they continued to persevere through the very end. There is no doubt however that when you ultimately look at the score cards you would see that Forver War would score more kicks and punches. Even though Jackson won most instances in the clinch War was still able to provide compeition there and when it came to them coming face to face it was clear Forever war was winning though. What was so exciting about this event was that Forever War was the SYN champion and Alex Jackson was the WFC champion. When to champions collide to see who the better is it is always entertaining i dont care what you think. For a fight of these two whos caliber is so high to go this far is just amazing truthfully. Im suprised that both of these guys were able to take the others shots. Alex Jackson, although known for going the distance in every fight, has never been stopped by any one opponent so to watch him take Forever War a man who has knockedout 12 of his 19 victories was probably the man to do just that. Throughout the fight it would appear that Jackson wanted nothing to do with the standup but he was doing a fantastic job with it. So it really was such a confusing thing to witness him continually going for takedowns. Forever War, with his great takedown defense, kept refusing Jackson to keep him on the floor. To be able to be put on your back and not allow your opponent to do any damage is simply fantastic so kudos to War for that. In the end the judges scored the rounds for Forever War who remains a force to be reckoned with at 155lbs. So congrats to you War and goodluck on your next fight and first Syn Title defense against William Barker on April 27th which is my birthday so give me a shout out if you win!

Jafar Agrabah Vs Happy Day

The Elite Ultimate Fighting Champion Happy Day would take on the Synchronicity lightweight Champion in a 5 round bout that would only go for three short rounds. Have you ever had the feeling that fighters name themselves? Or that there is some weird doctor who creates random clones and decides to name these clones really weird names? Yeah i cant figure out whats going on either...Its the only thing i can understand why someones last name would be Agrabah or someones first name be Happy...Ok lets get to the fight because the fight was better than the actual names. I dont know how many of you were actually excited for this fight but i was certainly one. I love when champions from other Orgs come to another Org to fight a champion. That is one of my favorite things to see. Thank goodness this was not a letdown. From the beginning to the bitter end these two gave a very well presentation of what it should look like if you are a fighter earning a fight rating of 100% and to me this was huge! When the bell rang Jafar throws a leg kick at Day and follows up his maneuver away from Days switch kick. These two were going all in and that is what had me on the edge. Immediately after a few striking incidents Day clinches with Agrabah...Agrabah really?!...Anyways Agrabah breaks the clinch and does not allow a single strike to be thrown. That was the moment too, being that Happy had him on the cage! From the corner Jafars trainers were telling him that if he clinched just pull gaurd. Agrabahs greatest choice would be to do just that in the third round. The first round would go on and to describe it you would have to see that the two of these fighters really put their heart and soul into this entire fight. Day, the clear agressor went after jafar with strikes of plenty time after time. Infact he did not relent until he had it all. When the bell rang the two went back to their corner. It was an eerie feeling knowing that these two are two of the best at their weight. Fighting on an event like this was huge for any fighter but for these two you could tell that they wanted to be better than the other so bad. Day who had won the first round was pushing around Jafar dominating another round and was looking for an easy victory. With the same things going on by the third round Jafar stepped up his game and tryed something different. For the second time in the fight he pulled gaurd from the clinch. This time when Jafar went for a submission he would get it. Putting on and executing a beautifully timed triangle that would break the man known as Happy Day and force him to tapout for the first time in his career. Congrats to Jafar Agrabah for defeating Happy day!

Jason Rose Vs Brian Peppers 135lbs title on the line

Jason Rose the 145lbs title holder was looking to take on Brian Peppers the 135lbs Title holder for his belt and to be the holder of both divisions! Could he do it? The odds were surely stacked against him being Peppers was not an ameature by any measure and he certainly knew what it was like to hold two different belts as well being that he held the SPFT and SYNs titles. Jason Rose just wanted to be one of the most dominant men to rule over the giant organization we call Synchronicity and to hold two different titles was surely the way to do it. Peppers who defeated Rose on Syn 198 on November 11th 2011 was probably looking to have a reenactment of what he orgiinally did to the current 145lbs title holder but if that was the case he was in for a rude wake up call. Jason Rose after dropping weight to meet his opponent looked straight in his eyes and began dodging the strikes Peppers was throwing. Someone was heard commenting about this card and said, "It really says a lot about a card when the first main fight of the night is a title fight!" This guy was absolutely right and i dont think we could have asked for a greater first fight of the night. Throughout the entire fight it was so hard to call it went right down the middle. If one guy through a punch the other would throw a kick and vice versa. This would change repeatedly and we were in no doubt in one of the biggest treats as we saw the two champions put everything on the line. Im curious what meant more to Jason Rose, to win the title or to redeem a loss in a very exciting fashion. The crowd loved this fight. They screamed they hollered and cried for more. The fight was so close that if it went to the judges scorecards i dont think either fighter would have been suprised if the other won. At the end of the first the announcers claimed Peppers, at the end of the second, Rose. The third was probably Rose they told the listners but they wouldnt get to choose another round because in the fourth it would all end. In the first minute of the 4th round Jason Rose went for a takedown. He had only did this once before in the first but Peppers got right back up. Jason got the takedown once again and was absolutely throwing on the floor. Peppers was taking the shots trying to dodge and get back up but when he was struck with that brain penetrating elbow, it left him seeing double. Trying to fold over a submission on Rose, Jason just stood back up and began dropping his fists to the face of Peppers. The referee who warned Peppers to improve position was now forced to stop the fight. And Now....We have a new BantamWeight Champion in Jason Rose! Congrats Rose on defeating a former rival and being crowned with two titles in one of MMATYCOONS biggest orgs. You certainly are doing well!

John Turner Vs Momoko Yamaguchi

At the start of this fight it was expected to be an incredibly even fight between the two men. That would surely change as we would witness the two trade shots and watch as one was clearly much more effective and the other would suffer cuts and punches all over the face. The top two 265lbs fighters met tonight in a clash that would most likely decide at who would get the shot at the next title holder whether it would be Killsinwater or Puno. Both of these guys do this for a living, this is how they feed their family, so you better believe both of them wanted it bad but one guy stepped in from the beginning to show he was ready. "My Time is Now!" John Turner was more than willing to win this fight by outscoring Yamaguchi with 28 punches and 21 kicks altogether. If someone lands about 28 punches more than you, you are probably bleeding to much to see those punches coming and thats exactly what had happened here. In the first round Yamaguchi took the fight to the clinch and immediately Turner through a strike that sliced open the eye of Yamaguchi. Although this cut was never really near doctor stoppage it definitely played a part in the effectiveness of Turners striking and Yamaguchis lack of defense and striking ability. Yamaguchi is known to be extremely accurate knocking out 11 of his 15 victories he is no doubt a man not be toyed with. Turner is no joke either, since entering Synchronocity he has scored 3 straight victories and his victory over Yamaguchi tonight was another show of pure class! With five rounds of world class striking Turner looked to be insanely well with his ability! It looks like this kid is ready for what Synchronicity has to offer him, even he would go on ranting and raging about his great he is for 5 mintues after the fight. Congrats to you John Turner for coming in and getting the win. Yamaguchi we look forward to your return!

Bubba Killsinwater Vs Fidel Puno 265lbs title on the line

If i told you that this fight was for the 265 pound title of the Synchronicity world would you care? Of course you would. Unless you knew that these two top ten Pound for Pound fighters were fighting for something a little more to them than the title of the world. What could that possibly be you ask? Their careers. The loser retires and the winner remains. This is one of the craziest things i have ever heard. Now if you are new to MMATYCOON like i am you might not get all the excitement and hype. This fight was probably the only fight in history were people were hoping, literally hoping, for a draw to occur. These are two of the most beloved fighters that have ever graced the Synchronicity arena and to watch them go head to head was exciting but also nerve racking. One manager was heard to say, "If you dont have this fight on your spoilers you dont deserve to be here." Thats a pretty bold statement. The fight was considered fight of the year immediately after it was announced and the build up to this fight was bigger than one i have ever seen, Synchronicity does a great job in doing that. Now if the two are coming to keep their careers alive for a few more fights you are forced to take sides now which side do you take? Do you take Fidel Puno, the former; Pride, Syn, and Convicted champion who has won 10 fight of the nights 9 ko of the nights and 3 submission of the night awards the thrilla from Manilla who was the former #1 P4P fighter or do you go for Bubba Killsinwater the former Afc, Syn and Blitzkrieg champion who was ranked #1 P4P at one time who recieved 7 fight of the night awards and 1 submission of the night with 1 knockout of the night award who actually defeated Fidel one time before? Yes..Heartbreaking news. Killsinwater defeated Puno back in May 30th 2010 in a five round fight that was absolutely legendary. Bubba won the first two rounds and Puno won the second two rounds. The fifth round was looking to be an absolute who is better round of the two but it would never end as Fidel suffered a cut that would haunt him for the remainder of his career and be a memory that would never leave. The referee stepped in called the doctor over and with 66 seconds remaining ended the fight. So tonight these two stepped in and battled once more and i hope you have picked a side for this catacalysmic event. ROUND 1 Remember that cut i told you about? Well Bubba decided to reopen that cut before the first minute even closed as a reminder to Fidel that he could not be stopped. It wasnt less than 30 seconds later that Puno decided to create a slice of his own on his opponent. This left blood from both fighters pouring profusely to the ground. Throughout the round the trades these two made were incredible and that cut above the eye of Puno would be opened even more to a way we have never seen before. The blood was literally pouring into his eye and it was a tragic. Puno was an absolute warrior though continuing to trade he showed the world how Philipino fighters work even when their backs are against the wall! He continued to give all he could as Bubba continued to throw insane kicks from all angles. At the close of the round Puno connected with an absolutely terrifying head kick and Killsinwater literally kept walking towards puno as if he was the Terminator incarnate! The round came to a sudden end and we saw the crowd screaming for the different fighters cheering them on as they recieved instruction from their corner. As Round 2 Began the blood from both fighters slowly crept back onto the faces and around the eyes of them. Killsinwater was dominating the round from the get go throwing his combinations each way until he decided to clinch. In the clinch a scored a strike that would blast open the blood of Puno that would hit the floor and the horror from the stands was heard. The two continued to trade Jab for Jab. Breaking from the clinch the trades grew even more until the leg kick that came from Bubba left Puno feeling unbalanced stepping in and suffering an immediate right cross. The blood flooded down his face and the referee jumped in the middle of the two calling for the doctor. The fans began to boo until they seen the doctor checking out Puno. An immense silence took over the stands. From the fighters backstage to the fans at home no one expected this fight, Punos career to end due to a cut. "Ladies and Gentleman at 4 minutes and 12 seconds.." We had a new champion. We had a final victor. We had the fight of a lifetime happen today. Bubba was proclaiming his Goatness and how he retired Puno. It was a shame that we didnt get to hear from Puno. Countless people feel that this fight should not have ended in the way it did. A fighters career closed due to a slice of the eye. It is part of the rules and it seems as if Bubba had reenacted his intentions from their first encounter over two years ago. A brilliant performance from the two that would leave many feeling as if they really did see a clash of the titans. Puno, thankyou for all you did and if this really is goodbye we will surely miss seeing your face around the cage. Bubba Congrats you did an unbelievable job and with the remianing fights in your career we look forward to witnessing more dangerous encounters from you!

Snake The Pendulum Vs John Keynes

You know what i love? I love fighters that know what they want to do. Especially fighters like Snake The Pendulum, even though he has one of the more stranger names i have come across in this business he definitely knows what to do when it comes to fighting. Tonight he faced the dangrerous champion of Synchronicity John Keynes. Snake, before this fight has defeated two champions back to back and was looking to do the same exact thing to Keynes as he came to the card tonight. Personally i have a new favorite fighter and for those that dont know much about this guy he has 24 victories and 17 of those are stoppages. He has yet to lose and even though Keynes, the current champion of Synchronicity was looking to add Pendulum to his resume, he added Keynes to his. The third straight champion to fold under the impressive skills of the snake. For those that were not able to see the fight let me jump into it for you. As soon as the bell rings Keynes went for a cross, but no sooner did he blink was he countered by Snakes shot. Pendulum was focusing on his defense while the aggresor was clearly John Keyenes. Strike to strike and kick to kick Keynes was looking for a finish. The fighter was relatively smart because you could see he continued to think throughout this fight so when he realized that the fight was not going anywhere on the standup Keynes went for a takedown, funny thing Snake allowed it. The Submission attempts began almost immediately with the Snake going for a guilliotine and then Keynes looking for an opening for a kimua. Does anyone else remember the time when no one knew what a Kimura was? ha good times. Back to the action. With the end of the round the two fighters looked pretty confident in where they were on the scorecards although the announcers believed Keynes to have one that round hands down. Now the second round was where the fight began to come to the sweet end. Keynes puts the clinch to work against his opponent but not a minute later would Snake break that like Macho Man (R.I.P.) snaps into a slim jim. Keynes decided to go for another takedown and was actually successful. Pendulum did not put up a fight for that saving his energy he bounced back on the attack with an armbar. About the twenty second mark of the third minute we witnissed the champion of Synchronicity tapout. Congrats to the #12 P4P fighter, Snake ThePendulum

Taylor Norton Vs Bomb Squad

Ladies and Gentleman lets get ready to rumble!!! Finally we have the oppurtunity to cover the Main Event of the evening and what a main event this is. If you take a look around you would normally say to yourself this card is great i cant really see how it could get any better, well take a seat lad and enjoy the review of the main event. Talk about a clinch war these two spent the majority of the fight in the clinch tied up. Taylor Norton the young Texas fighter was expecting a good strong fight against the man who trains out of Beast Farming in Brazil and with a fight rating of 100% you can believe that this fight not only lived up to the expectations but delivered more in an absolute stunning fashion! Now ill be one to tell you that when you look at the two fighters you have to take a closer look at Bomb Squad, he only lost twice and his last defeat was on Janurary 9th of 2011 and since then he has went on an 11 fight winning streak knocking out ten of those men and became the Cage Wars light heavyweight champion. That would make any man cautious into going into the cage with him and rightly so. Taylor Norton, the former Synchronicity champion is looking to get back to that position he once held and defeating a man like Bomb Squad would have done that for him. Now in the actual fight itself the only significant action taken by Bomb Squad was the body shot he landed in the clinch right before the end of the first minute. It probably was not the most expected thing that they would go into the clinch but Norton did so and did it very effectively. Infact he closed the distance and even though Squad was the aggresor it was Norton who landed the more significant shots. Close to the end of the first round you would see that Norton would begin to rethink his strategy as Squad landed a hook that sliced the eye of Norton. With his head bouncing off the cage he pushed forward attempting another takedown and Squad squashed the oppurtunity. With Blood pouring his determination proved greater than we have ever seen it before. Taylor Norton ended the round in an absoulte dominating fashion with carefully placed shots and dodges from his opponent. The announcers couldnt help but find that Norton was easily leading the fight with his first round victory. With the two fighters regrouping the trainers from both sides discussed with their fighters what they wanted to see from the two of them. At the start of the round Norton immediately goes in for some more high class striking but again the agility of Squad was top class and dodging another attack but failing to escape the clinch, Taylor Norton began striking again. Within the final few minutes of the 2nd, Norton was unleashing a fury of strikes upon Squad and the crowd rose to their feet screaming and chanting Nortons name. As they did Squad suffered a hellacious hook that dazed him completely. Failing to comprehend his surroundings he suffered an immediate elbow from Norton that sent his wobbly legs across the mat. You would have to imagine that after experincing a fight like that you would be completely out of it and Squad was. It wouldnt be but two minutes later when we would see Squad finished by Norton. At the end of the second round Norton missed a lethal uppercut to the dazed Bomb Squad but after entering the clinch for the first time in the third round he dropped him with that uppercut he was so desperately trying to land. Bomb Squad collapsed as he hit the floor knees falling underneath him and his head hit the mat like a sack of potatoes. Taylor Norton dropped punches on the face of the finished squad like coins that hit the floor. By the time the referee stepped in to stop the carnage the chanting crowd began screaming the name of the victor, Taylor Norton! Congrats to MMATycoons #25 p4p Fighter who has just reached the #3 position in his weight class with this win.
