But i do think he is a much better bet than the +220 odds they have on him. I thik i would have him at +140/+160. +220 is crazy! I just think people under estimate alhares takedowns. He took Hendo down in their fight 2 times. Also in a fight like this he has the option to pull guard and look for legs. He has manager to get the fight to the ground with pretty much everyone including Marquardt. He mised the leg lock and got pounded but he still got it down. Guest Posted May 1, 2012 Report Share Posted May 1, 2012 If Palhares ends up on top (or even sits out off of a failed takedown and goes for a leg) I doubt Belcher can pull it off (the only thing getting pulled off in that case is his leg). I see Miller taking this one, probably by decision. Josh Koscheck vs Johny Hendricks: Hendricks by TKO. Rousimar Palhares vs Alan Belcher: Palhares by nasty leglock. Pat Barry vs Lavar Johnson: This one was a tough pick, since both of these guys have a good chance to pull a KO victory here. Lavar has a more impressive resume, and Barry has been rather reckless in the past. I'll pick Johnson by KO. Tony Ferguson vs Michael Johnson John Dodson vs Tim Elliott: My heart says Dodson due to a nasty KO finish and inability to be taken down. John Hathaway vs Pascal Krauss Louis Gaudinot vs John Lineker Danny Castillo vs Josh Cholish Dennis Bermudez vs Pablo Garza Roland Delorme vs Nick Denis Mike Massenzio vs Karlos Vemola Dodson was a beast in TUF, so picking him was a given for me. DeadlyDirk Posted May 1, 2012 Report Share Posted May 1, 2012 Maybe this Fox card doesn't have some of the big names that have fought on some of the previous Fox Cards but I think this show could be awesome, they've obviously gone out more to make entertaining stylistic matchups this time our rather than just packing it with big names. It's hard to really see Diaz vs Miller being boring, as long as it's standing it should be pretty entertaining, and both guys are aggressive on the ground, although I do see Miller taking the win by getting it to the ground and being slightly more cautious than usual. Hendricks vs Kosheck should hopefully be another fun one, Koscheck may try for the lay and pray approach but I'd suspect Hendricks wrestling will be too good for him to do it consistently, while it's standing they'll probably be both swinging bombs! Palhares vs Belcher could be awesome, Belcher's a good striker with a good ground game, Pahlhares is obviously a beast on the ground, could be a real war this one. There's no way Barry vs Johnson can be anything but a standing war until one of them drops or the final buzzer sounds, don't expect either man to look to take this one to the ground, Johnson's reach may give him the edge but I've still gone for Barry. Hope he can pull off something awesome. Even the under card is pretty stacked with entertaining fights, getting excited about this card now. It definitely has the potential to be a great fight but no guarantee for fight of the night because firstly there's some other pretty close matchups on the card and secondly it could end at any moment and might well earn KOTN before it gets time to earn FOTN lol.
