http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/41/41a1.jpghttp://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/1/1b19.jpg

Ladies and Gentlemen, it's now time for the second event of Week 8. Up next we have Robert Beckett fighting for Team BHP. With a record of 4-3 he is coming off of a loss and will be looking for a win against Develutian who is getting quite the reputation as a guaranteed KO. Cornel Develutian is fighting for Team Reaper and has other ideas. Sick of being owned in the cage he is going to add a win to his current record of 2-5!

Round 1 is on and Beckett starts with a cautious approach and keeps his distance, connecting when the time is right. Develutian on the other hand is the more aggressive fighter and is taking the fight to Beckett, but, with that we see less shots hitting home. Beckett with a left hand that connects and...wow...Develutian is down! There's no let up as Beckett is making sure Develutian doesn't get back up and the referee has to step in!!

Beckett def. Develutian via 1st round TKO (strikes).

Vinnie Vincent (10-7) vs. Luke Doomsday (9-7)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/19/19w17.jpghttp://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/15/15b12.jpg

So, Team Fighters First Nutrition takes on Team Hells Balls next. Vinnie Vincent is fighting for Team Fighters First and brings to the fight a record of 5-2. Luke Doomsday is the man fighting for Team Hells Balls. Record wise he comes to the fight with a tournament record of 3-4 with the losses all from his last 4 appearances.

Round 1 and the fighters are missing some opportunities as they throw shots from way too far away. Vincent gets a takedown and we might get to see some of that bjj black belt he has. Vincent tries to land some shots but they're not doing any damage and so he goes for a sub, fails and goes back to trying to land some GnP. Doomsday is doing well avoiding the damage and is trying to get into half guard. Some more missed GnP from Vincent and Doomsday manages to switch...he's now on top! Vincent could be in trouble here as Doomsday lands some GnP - Vincent is rocked! Vincent trying to get out of trouble here but Doomsday is keeping him where he wants him and Doomsday lands a big shot. Vincent is out!! The ref steps in and it's all over.

Doomsday def. Vincent via 1st round KO (strikes).

Kisuke Urahara (7-7-2) vs. Bawit Daba (8-2-1)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/24/24w24.jpghttp://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/42/42b27.jpg

Up next we have Kisuke Urahara, fighting for Team Heisenberg, take on Bawit Daba who is fighting for Team Syndicate Nutrition. Urahara is coming to the fight with a tournament record of 2-4-1. Daba has had a better time on the tournament with a record of 4-2-1. These 2 fighters first met way back in week 1 where the result was a draw so this will be an interesting fight.

Round 1 and the fighters are keeping the fight standing as they trade blows. Daba is the more aggressive fighter and tries to take the fight into the clinch but is unsuccessful. But he's not giving up and soon rushes Urahara, pressing him up against the cage. In the clinch and Daba continues to be the more aggressive fight. We see Urahara try to pull guard and end up slipping in the process - one way to break free from the clinch I suppose! Back at striking and Daba is using his height advantage connecting well. The fight is back in the clinch but this time it is Urahara that takes the fight there and the fighters are managing to score some shots.

Round 2 and Urahara makes several attempts to take the fight into the clinch but Daba is not ready just yet. Urahara trying to slow Daba down with kicks but Daba is still connecting well and getting the better of the stand up. Daba decides it's time to take the fight into the clinch and Urahara is immediately trying to get the fight to the ground. Daba is delivering some good shots to Urahara's head as the activity on the clinch starts to slow down.

Round 3 and Daba has dominated the fight so far so Urahara knows he needs to get this fight finished. Daba is keeping his distance using his height to get in there and score. And Urahara has stepped it up looking for a finish. Urahara is looking to take the fight into the clinch but Daba is happy where he is. Daba connects with a jab and Urahara is rocked! A combo soon follows and Urahara is on the floor! Urahara gets back up but is soon put back on his ass by Daba and he dives in throwing punch after punch until the referee steps in!!

Daba def. Urahara via 3rd round TKO (strikes).

Luis Garavito (11-6) vs. Daniyel Nebi (11-2)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/27/27w12.jpghttp://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/1/1w16.jpg

Luis Garavito and Daniyel Nebi take to the cage next. Garavito is having one shitty time in the tournament with a record of 2-5 as he fights for Team Fighters First. With 3 losses in his last 3 fights Garavito needs to turn around his luck tonight. Nebi is fighting for Team Hells Balls and comes to the tournament with a record of 2-1 after only making 3 appearances so far.

Round 1 and Garavito soon has the fight on the ground. There's very little action on the ground with Garavito trying to land some GnP. The fighters are back standing as the referee stands the fighters up. Garavito tries to take the fight back to the mat but Nebi is keeping the fight standing. We're looking at a close round as the fighters stand throwing shots. As the fighters continue standing we see Garavito pick up a cut but it doesn't seem to bother him as he continues to trade blows with Nebi.

Round 2 and Garavito gets the round starting and is the more aggressive fighter, trying to slow Nebi down with a few leg kicks. The fighters continue to keep the fight standing with with both fighters showing signs of tiring. A right hand lands for Nebi and Garavito is rocked! Another shot lands for Nebi and Garavito is down with Nebi following close behind landing one more shot before the referee steps in.

Nebi def. Garavito via 2nd round KO (punch).

ITFL 2 - Week 8/2

part 2...

Dragon Warfist (11-5-1) vs. Peter Taphorn (9-6)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/2/2w3.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u625/darksoulmma/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpsb72a087f.jpg

Dragon Warfist takes to the cage next, fighting for Team BHP. He comes to the fight with a tournament record of 4-3. Peter Taphorn is fighting for Team Reaper and also has a record of 4-3 with all his losses coming in his last 3 appearances.

Round 1 and the fight is soon taken into the clinch by Taphorn and tries to land some knees. Warfist fights back a little with a knee eventually landing for Taphorn and Warfist picking up a cut. Both fighters are fighting it out in the clinch with Warfist getting the better at the moment and being overall more active.

Round 2 and Taphorn is desperate to take the fight to the ground with 3 attempts in the first minute. In the stand up exchange Taphorn gets cut. Warfist takes the fight into the clinch and the fighters get busy there with both fighters scoring well. Warfist is the more active fighter before Taphorn decides to take the fight to the ground. Taphorn is failing to land much of the GnP that he's throwing down as the round comes to an end.

Round 3 and a tired Taphorn is being dominated on the feet so eventually successfully secures a takedown. A few shots on the ground and Taphorn goes for a submission. He needs to pull something out of the bag here. Nothing. He tries some more GnP but isn't doing any damage. Taphorn starts to deliver the GnP a bit more successfully now and is making a mess of Warfist. Seeing a chance he goes for another sub but it's not happening and the round comes to an end.

Warfist def. Taphorn via decision (unanimous).

Evgeniy Malkin (12-4) vs. Lance Templeton (6-4)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/16/16w26.jpghttp://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/1/1w2.jpg

Next up we have Team Steel Penns' Evgeniy Malkin take on Lance Templeton, fighting for Team Kaiser. Evgeniy Malkin has had quite a good run the season with a record of 5-2 and this week he takes on another Lance, this time in the form of Lance Templeton. Templeton's season started in week 2 and has managed a tournament record of 4-2.

Round 1 and the fight is soon on the ground as Malkin secures a takedown. Both fighters seem hesitant on the ground though and the fight is soon stood back up. Back standing and Malkin is getting better of the stand up but decides to take the fight back to the ground. The fighters struggle to control the action on the ground and the fight is soon stood up again by the referee. The fighters start to trade shot with Malkin trying to take the fight back to the ground but we end up in the clinch.

Round 2 and both fighters are looking good on the feet. Malkin is trying to get the fight to the ground but Templeton has no interest and keeps the fight standing. Malkin is getting the better of the stand up by using his height advantage but this is a close round for sure. Malkin takes the fight to the ground and quickly tries for a submission. However, Templeton is defending well against the Kimura. Another sub attempt and Templeton is still in the game!

Round 3 and Templeton is keeping the fight standing as Malkin tries unsuccessfully to take the fight to the ground. Templeton knows he needs to act so has stepped things up. He is connecting well against Malkin who is still looking to take the fight to the ground but Templeton keeps the fight in the feet. The fighters end up in the clinch for a while and continue their fight there. Malkin tries to take the fight to the ground from the clinch but Templeton is still getting the better of the stand up and stops this from happening. Templeton tries to break free from the clinch but we see the round and the fight come to an end.

Malkin def. Templeton via decision (split decision).

James Burke (6-3) vs. Tigran Badoyan (12-1)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/23/23w21.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u625/darksoulmma/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpsbd1d7b25.jpg

James Burke takes on Tigran Badoyan next as he fights for Team Fighters First Nutrition with Badoyan fighting for Team Hells Balls Nutrition. Burke came to the tournament as a relatively inexperienced fighter with only 1 win but put in the work needed to win his first 5 tournament fights. He has however lost his 2 recent appearances giving him a record of 5-2. Badoyan has had a great run and so far and has walked away with a perfect record, winning all 7 of his fights.

Round 1 and we start with an exciting exchange here with Burke picking up a cut. Badoyan with the reach advantage is connecting well and decides to take the fight to the ground. It's Burke however that tries to take advantage of the situation, attempting to pull off a submission but there's nothing there. Burke is being controlled on the bottom but goes for another sub whilst avoiding strikes from Badoyan...no luck...another 2 attempts and still nothing. Great defending here by Badoyan. Badoyan with some strikes that are hitting home and with less than 1 minute left on the clock that must mean it's submission time! Nope...another try by Burke and he's still no closer to a submission.

Round 2 and the fighters come out swinging but are having trouble landing at the moment. Burke is connecting well with Badoyan's legs trying to slow him down. However, he's not so lucky with the takedowns as Badoyan tries to keep the fight standing. The fighters continue to keep the fight standing for much of the round and both fighters look well on the feet - so far this is going to be a close round. Burke eventually gets the fight to the ground after taking advantage of an off balanced Badoyan. There's some strikes from Burke but they're not really bothering Badoyan.

Round 3 starts pretty much like the previous rounds with some promising looking stand up. Badoyan slightly getting the better until he takes the fight to the ground. A quick thinking Burke tries to turn the fight to his advantage as he tries to secure a submission but nothing comes of it. Badoyan trying for a sub as well, why not? We see another 4 subs as Burke steps things up but it looks like it's in the hands of the judges as the bell rings.

Badoyan def. Burke via decision (unanimous).

Aloysius Martin Thesz (10-4) vs. Conan Drogo (14-5)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/13830178273557.jpghttp://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/42/42a2.jpg

Aloysius Martin Thesz takes on Conan Drogo as we're nearing the end of Week 8. Thesz is fighting for Team Steel Penn and goes up against Conan Drogo of Team Kaiser. Thesz has a record of 4-2 after entering the tournament in week 2. Coming off of 4 straight wins we might be seeing another win here tonight. Drogo is coming to the fight tonight with a record of 5-2 with his last win going to the judges.

Round 1 and the fighters really start thein fight off in style as both fighters come out aggressively. In the exchange Thesz manages to pick up a cut as a headkick lands for Drogo. Thesz decides to take the fight to the ground, landing in side control. Thesz is unsuccessful as he tries to get a lose triangle and then decides to do very little else forcing the referee to stand the figh up. The fighters are back at a distance but Thesz is already looking for another takedown as Drogo gets the better of the stand up. Another failed takedown by Thesz ends in the fighters getting into the clinch. Drogo is landing well in the clinch and Thesz is rocked! Are we going to see a 1st round finish by Drogo? Holy shit...Drogo is going all crazy in the clinch and Thesz is still standing. Shots to the body are landing well for him but the...what...20 plus head shots? These are mostly missing.

Round 2 and Drogo is straight in with the pressure knocking Thesz back against the cage. Drogo on him like a shadow with more strikes and Thesz is down on his knees. More shots from Drogo and the referee steps in...and that's it!

Drogo def. Thesz via TKO (strikes).

ITFL 2 - Week 8/2

part 3...

Jared Wild (9-4) vs. Barry Allen (12-3-1)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/5/5w12.jpghttp://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/11/11w14.jpg

Jared Wild takes on new-comer to the tournament Barry Allen next. Fighting for Team BHP, Jared Wild has a record of 4-3 with 3 of his wins coming via his last 3 appearances. Barry Allen is joining the Reaper team and is looking to make an impression but will he pull off a win in his debut?

Round 1 gets going and the fight is soon taken to the ground by Allen. Both fighters struggle on the ground to get the upper hand but the fight is soon stood up by the referee. A few shots are fired standing and Allen takes the fight back to the ground but the fighters are soon stood up again. A few shots here and the fight is taken into the clinch by Allen. Wild seems to be getting the better in the clinch before Allen manages to pull Wild to the ground. Wild wants to stand but Allen goes for a sub! No luck there as Wild defends.

Round 2 and Allen soon gets the fight into the clinch and has the fight on the ground within seconds. Allen connecting with a punch and the referee has not seen enough action - we're back standing. Wild is the more aggressive fighter at the moment, delivering leg kicks to wear Allen down. Wild lands an uppercut and Allen is knocked down! This is trouble for Allen. Allen is back on his feet and a jab from Wild followed by a huge uppercut put Allen out of the fight for definite!! He is out cold!

Wild def. Allen via 2nd round KO (punches).

Dmitry Borsechev (12-3) vs. Vitali Kersikov (7-5)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/19/19w14.jpghttp://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/3/3w1.jpg

We've reached the final fight of week 8 now Ladies and Gentlemen. Up next we have Dmitry Borsechev, fighting for Team Steel Penn taking on Vitali Kersikov fighting for Team Kaiser. Only entering the tournament during week 5, Borsechev has managed a record of 2-1. Kersikov has been with the tournament from week 1 and has a record of 5-2. He is currently on a 5 win streak and is looking good! Let's see if he can keep this up.

Round 1 and the fighters are already going for it! With a total of 17 finishes between them I expect a stand up fight here. The signs are looking promising as the fighters are really going for it! Dmitry is getting the edge here, luckily that is also his nick name, and is connecting with a good portion of his kicks causing Kersikov some trouble. A cut for Kersikov as the round continues and as the round comes to a close it looks like Borsechev dominated that round.

Round 2 and Dmitry is connecting well as Kersikov struggles to get a look in. Looking at the fighters more closely we have Borsechev with the reach advantage in this fight. Borsechev still with the kicks trying to slow Kersikov down. Kersikov looks to be struggling to keep up with the pace as he starts to breath heavily. Kersikov still struggling to connect but manages to kick Borsechev in the dick so his aim can't be too bad to hit something that small! The fight is back on and Dmitry gets back to business as he continues to get the better of the stand up.

Round 3 and Borsechev has dominated the last 2 rounds so Kersikov need something here. Kersikov knows this and steps his game up early into the round. We're starting to see a very close round here as Kersikov starts to connect a little better. Borsechev is still throwing those leg shots, trying to slow Kersikov down. Kersikov is doing well darting in and out of range to connect against Dmitry but overall has a very low suucess rate this fight. We're looking at less than 50% landing for head shots and body shots so unless he's planning on a KO it might be too little too late! And to the judges we go...

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u625/darksoulmma/ITFL_FOTN_zpsb9b2f520.png

Borsechev def. Kersikov via decision (unanimous).

ITFL 2 - Week 9/1

part 1...

Sherif Fathy (8-8) vs. Magnetic Symphony (1-9)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/15/15b12.jpghttp://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/9/9w9.jpg

Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to Week 9 and the first fight of the week belongs to Sherif Fathy and Magnetic Symphony. Fathy, as always, is fighting for Team Hells Balls Nutrition. Sherif Fathy has only won one fight so far in the tournament, and that was way back in week 1. It's only fitting then that he is facing fellow 1 time winner, Magnetic Symphony. Symphony is making an appearance for Steel Penn, with his one and only win being in week 6 against Maubee Away.

Round 1 gets underway and Fathy takes the fight into the clinch within seconds of the round starting. With very little action in the clinch Symphony manages to break free. Fathy tries to take the fight to the ground but is stopped by Symphony. Fathy is getting the better of the stand up throwing more and connecting more, trying a few more times to take the fight to the ground. A kick lands for Fathy that knocks Symphony off balance and he follows up with an uppercut that connects well... and Symphony is down! Fathy wants this fight back on the feet though and Symphony obliges. Punches are landing for Fathy and Symphony is rocked! Another uppercut from Fathy and Symphony is out cold!

Fathy def. Symphony via KO (punch).

Cornel Develutian (5-6) vs. Kisuke Urahara (7-8-2)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/1/1b19.jpghttp://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/24/24w24.jpg

Up next we have Cornel Develutain, fighting for Team Reaper, take on Kisuke Urahara, who is fighting for Heisenberg Fight Team. Develutian is coming off of a 4 loss streak! With an overall tournament record of 2-6 he is fighting against Kisuke Urahara. Urahara is not doing all that great either with a record of 2-5-1.

Round 1 and Develutian is trying to land kicks as Urahara tries to keep his distance. There's more kicks to follow this time a little more successful. Develutian is getting the better of the stand up here tonight and it would be nice not to see him go out the victim of another brutal TKO. Develutain is putting the pressure on Urahara, who at the moment seems to be struggling to connect. Urahara is down! Develutian wants the fight standing so lets Urahara back up. Urahara is rocked but he's acting more like a trapped animal as he charges Develutian! Develutian with a jab that Urahara just walks into and Urahara is out!

Develutian def. Urahara via KO (punch).

Lance Templeton (7-4) vs. Luis Garavito (11-7)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/1/1w2.jpghttp://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/27/27w12.jpg

The third fight of Week 9 is a fight between Lance Templeton fighting for Team Kaiser and Luis Garavito who is fighting for Team Fighters First Nutrition. Entering the tournament from week 2, Templeton has a record of 4-3 with Garavito going 2-6.

Round 1 and Garavito comes out the more aggressive fighter as he looks to connect with Templeton. Garavito is using his height advantage well connecting with Templeton's head. Templeton's just not standing there though. No way. Templeton is managing to connect well with some kicks and is bringing the round to a close one.

Round 2 and Garavito is coming out striking with some decent shots landing and tries to take the fight to the ground but instead the fighters end up in the clinch. Neither fighter wants to be there so we soon see the fighters back at striking distance. The 2 fighters are trading blows with Templeton trying to slow Garavito down with body shots. Garavito is still trying to work in those takedowns but so far Templeton is managing to keep the fight standing.

Round 3 and Garavito comes out wild, missing some shots early on. Templeton is connecting well and is getting the better of the fight. Garavito is still struggling to connect and is really suffering from the body kicks that Templeton is landing. As the round progresses we see little improvement from Garavito and it looks like this round will go to Templeton.

Templeton def. Garavito via decision (unanimous).

Peter Taphorn (10-6) vs. Maubee Away (13-8)

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u625/darksoulmma/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpsb72a087f.jpghttp://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/10/10b14.jpg

Up next we have Peter Taphorn, fighting for Team Reaper. Taphorn is having one bad run at the moment going for 4 losses in his last 4 appearances. He's coming to the fight with a tournament record of 4-4! Facing him is Maubee Away, fighting for Heisenberg Fight Team. Away is also coming to the fight with a record of 4-4.

Round 1 and after both fighters hit nothing but thin air, Away gets the fight to the ground. It will be interesting to see what happens on the ground between these 2 black belts. Taphorn controlling the fight as Roots tries to land some GnP as he attempts to advance. Taphorn going for a sub...answered by Away via a nice elbow to the side of Taphorn's head. A guillotine this time from Taphorn but Roots defends well. And Taphorn again...is it 3rd time lucky? He's going for a triangle but it looks like it's not happening. WAIT! No, he's switched to an armbar...Away trying to escape...and he's tapping out!!

http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u625/darksoulmma/ITFL_SOTN_zps2e871eaa.png

Taphorn def. Away via 1st round submission (armbar).

ITFL 2 - Week 9/1

part 2...

El Pintos (5-5) vs. Ugor Makinwa (14-4)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/33/33w5.jpghttp://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/42/42b27.jpg

Team Syndicate Nutrition and Team BHP are up next with their fighters, El Pintos and Ugor Makinwa. With a tournament record of 5-3, Pintos is here fighting for Team Syndicate Nutrition. Makinwa is making his 5th tournament appearance having made his first appearance in week 5. Fighting for Team BHP he has a tournament record of 1-3.

Round 1 gets underway and Makinwa is scoring well from the outset causing Pintos a cut. Makinwa is trying to slow Pintos down with a mixture of kicks and body shots. Though throwing less shots, Pintos is managing to connect with some good shots, at times looking dangerous. As the round gets into full swing Makinwa continues to connect well and is getting the better of the stand up.

Round 2 and the fighters are straight in there. After dominating the previous round, Makinwa is getting the better of the 2nd round as well. He continues to connect well with Pintos again struggling to get the most of his shots to their intended target. A leg kick from Makinwa lands and it's followed up with a big right hand! Pintos hits the deck but Makinwa isn't finished yet. Pintos is back on his feet but is rocked - as you would be! One more shot, a big right hand, and Pintos is on the floor and Makinwa delivers more punches as the referee steps in to save Pintos.

Makinwa def. Pintos via 2nd round TKO (strikes).

Luke Doomsday (9-8) vs. Kirk Lazarus (9-4)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/15/15b12.jpghttp://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/1349628629KirkLazarus.jpg

Next up we have Luke Doomsday, fighting for Team Hells Balls, take on Kirk Lazarus who is fighting for Team Steel Penn. Doomsday is currently 4 wins and 4 losses so far in the tournament. Lazarus comes to the cage with a much better tournament record of 6-2.

Round 1 and to begin with the fighters are defending well with many shots missing their target. Soon into the round we see the fighters take 2 completely different approaches to the fight. Doomsday trying to connect mainly with punches with Lazarus opting to try and take out Doomsday with kicks, getting to the point where Doomsday is starting to suffer. A 1,2 from Doomsday lands and Lazarus is cut. We continue to see a close round as the fighters continue to trade blows.

Round 2 starts and Lazarus tries to take the fight into the clinch. The fighters stay at striking distance and the fighters continue to trade blows with Lazarus getting the better of the stand up. Doomsday is struggling to land a lot of his shots with Lazarus' slight reach advantage being one of the causes. As the fight continues Lazarus continues to get the better of the stand up.

Round 3 and Doomsday comes out like a different man going straight for Lazarus. And Lazarus is rocked! There's no chance for Doomsday to finish the fight as Lazarus seems to spend very little time in recovering before he's in there with the kicks again. Doomsday picks things up a little with Lazarus trying to get the fight into the clinch. Another attempt and Lazarus gets the fight into the clinch. We're coming to the end of the fight and we're close to seeing the judges call this one. Doomsday is trying to get free from the clinch but Lazarus is keeping the action there. That's it, it's the end of the round...

Lazarus def. Doomsday via decision (unanimous).

Vitali Kersikov (7-6) vs. James Burke (7-3)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/3/3w1.jpghttp://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/23/23w21.jpg

So we have Vitali Kersikov and James Burke up next. Kersikov, fighting for Team Kaiser, is coming to the fight with a half decent record of 5-3. The guy he's facing, Burke, also comes to the fight with a record of 5-3. Having won on his first 5 fights that means that his last 3 appearances were all losses. He will want to stop this recent bad luck and get some points for Team Fighters First Nutrition.

Round 1 and we're straight into the action as a shot from Kersikov connects giving Burke a cut. Some more stand up and Kersikov is getting the better of the round. Burke gets the fight to the ground but the referee is not seeing enough action and the guys are stood back up. Not deterred, Burke manages to get the fight back to the ground. Kersikov is wanting to get the fight back to the feet as Burke really struggles to land some GnP. Burke decides to try and put his black belt to some use and goes for a kimura but Kersikov defends well. Another sub fails and Kersikov is working hard to get into a better position. More strikes on the ground fail to land from Burke before he goes for another 2 sub attempts - all defended well by Kersikov.

Round 2 and the 2 fighters are putting on a good show as they trade blows with Kersikov getting the better. Kersikov is picking up the pace here and is really active. Pinned against the cage and looking like he could be in danger, Burke manages to get the fight to the ground. This is closely followed by 2 sub attempts but they are defended well. With the pace slowing the referee has the fighters back to their feet. Back standing and Kersikov is connecting well thanks to his reach advantage. Burke gets the fight back to the ground again and let's see if he can finally get something here. Kersikov looking for a sweep, he wants out of this position...there's less than one minute left in this round. Burke is going for a sub...but we've been here before. Kersikov is avoiding the arm triangle, when Burke decides to switch things around and goes for an armbar! It's on tight and Kersikov is tapping!!

Burke def. Kersikov via 2nd round submission (armbar).

Hamad Al Zahran (11-6-2) vs. Dragon Warfist (11-5-2)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/40/40b20.jpghttp://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/2/2w3.jpg

Hamad Al Zahran, fighting for Team Syndicate Nutrition, takes on Dragon Warfist next, who is fighting for Team BHP. Al Zahran is having a bit of a mixed time in the tournament with a record of 4-3-1 with all 4 wins coming via decision. His opponent, Dragon Warfist, comes to the fight with a tournament record of 5-3. This is not the first time that these 2 fighters have met in the tournament. Back in week 2 these 2 fighters fought it out for a full 15 minutes taking the fight to the judges where Dragon Warfist was given the win via decision.

Round 1 and the fighters are exchanging shots. Al Zahran picks up a cut in the process and is in a dangerous position as Warfist has him pinned up against the cage. Warfist takes the fight into the clinch and both fighters are really active. With the fight continuing in the clinch and both fighters really going for it we're gonna be looking at a close round here.

Round 2 and a more aggressive Al Zahran is connecting well. Warfist is using Al Zahran's aggression to his advantage managing to connect with several counter shots. Warfist takes the fight into the clinch towards the end of the fight and is on the attack straight away. Al Zahran is defending well in the clinch making Warfist work for those shots.

Round 3 is up on us and so far it has been a close fight. Both fighters are still in the game and this round is the round that will decide the fight. There's a good start from Al Zahran as he connects well against Warfist. Throwing less shots, Warfist is managing to get some solid shots past Al Zahran which the judges will be noticing. A last ditch attempt in the clinch by Warfist comes towards the end of the round but something doesn't feel right for him as he immediately changes his mind...as the seconds count down it looks like we're going to the judges. Let's see if it's win no.2 for Warfist.

ITFL 2 - Week 9/1

part 3...

Bawit Daba (8-3-1) vs. Lance Kilkenny (7-4)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/42/42b27.jpghttp://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/40/40w1.jpg

Teams Syndicate Nutrition and BHP meet again next as Bawit Daba (Team Syndicate) takes on Lance Kilkenny (Team BHP). Daba has had a decent run so far with all but 1 of his 5 wins ending via (T)KO with the rest of his record being made up of 2 losses and 1 draw. Kilkenny comes to the fight with a record of 4 wins and 4 losses.

Round 1 and Daba is caught off guard as Kilkenny's first shot lands good - wake up Daba! Kilkenny takes the fight into the clinch and both fighters are busy but there is very little in the way of success from the shots. Daba has had enough though and breaks the clinch. The fighters are having mixed success as they trade blows but Kilkenny seems to be getting the better of the stand up. We're back in the clinch as KIlkenny goes for another try in the clinch. Both fighters are looking to score in the clinch with Kilkenny being the more successful.

Round 2 and Daba is suffering from the hits he's taking to the legs. Kilkenny knows this and is keeping up the pressure connecting with more leg kicks. Daba is just as active as Kilkenny with the punches but could do with more landing as those misses are getting him nowhere. The fighters continue to stand and bang with Kilkenny looking like the better fighter.

Round 3 and Daba needs to pull something out of the bag here as Kilkenny has come out on top in the previous 2 rounds. Kilkenny continues to dominate as Daba is still struggling to connect well. Daba decides to go all in and steps up his game - but is it enough? Anything short of a finish and the answer is no! Kilkenny making use of his low kicks again as he tries to slow Daba down. Kilkenny continues to connect well with nearly all of his shots hitting home. Daba's attempt to turn this fight around seems to not be materializing and as we come to the final few seconds Kilkenny pretty much has the fight in the bag. And it's going to the judges...

Kilkenny def. Daba via decision (unanimous).

Silent Bob (10-8) vs. Jared Wild (10-4)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/39/39w16.jpghttp://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/5/5w12.jpg

Ladies and Gentlemen, up next we see Silent Bob, of Team Syndicate Nutrition, take on Team BHP's Jared Wild. Bob is coming to the fight with a record of 3-3 after joining the tournament at week 3. He takes on Wild. Wild is here with a tournament record of 5-3 having won the last 4 fights by (T)KO.

Round 1 gets the go ahead and Bob is trying to take the fight into the clinch but the fighters remain striking thanks to Wild's defense. Bob connecting with some leg kicks here, he's wanting to give Wild something to think about. Wild starting to show his dominance as he connects with several shots...and Bob is down...now hs back up, just like that! Let's see if that's taken anything out of him. Wild is keeping up the pressure and the shots are coming quickly with very little chance for Bob to pull himself together. And Bob is down again and as he stands he is clearly rocked! There's nothing standing in the way between Bob's chin and Wild's fist and an upper cut from Wild puts an end to the fight.

Wild def. Bob via KO (punch).

I did nt realise my guy was 1-3 in tourney

He's 2-3 now buddy - not much of a reassrance I know but see what the next round leads to.

One thing I have noticed after running a few, very much smaller tournaments myself, is the fact that most of the managers have continued to stay in the tourney even if their fighters aren't doing too well. I think that's a great thing considering the number of managers taking part.

Yes, definitely. I think the current format, using younger guys, is the ideal way to do this. It's not like a creation tourney where you may end up with a shitty fighter, here we all had a pretty good idea of what we are working with at this point. Season 3, using older fighters, would have been a lot of fun but there doesnt seem to be enough interest.

I think it would be great for us to run another id restricted ITFL for season 3 after Fuse takes a break for a bit and recharges his batteries. I'm feeling out whether or not we can have a shortened season of EPL (8 fighters with either a championship fight or a 4 man playoff) during that break here in ITFL. I already have a deep pocketed sponsor lined up so the prize will be substantial.

Yeah - that's one advantage of using established fighters I suppose. Less chance of manager dumping them if they lose. Shame about the ITFL 3. I would have been interested if I had any older fighters although maybe Fuse might like the break lol.

ITFL 2 - Week 9/2

part 1...

Julian Knight (8-5) vs. John Lineker (8-10)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/11/11w5.jpghttp://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/20/20w23.jpg

Ladies and Gentlemen, let me present to you the second event of week 9. The next fight is between Julian Knight fighting for Team Reaper. He goes up against John Lineker, fighting for Team Heisenberg. Knight is currently 4-4 in the tournament Lineker started the tournament with a very impressive flying knee KO but since then things have gone to shit for him with every appearance thereafter ending in a loss!

Round 1 and Knight takes the fight straight to the ground. Knight tries to land some GnP but is not landing as Lineker defends well. A couple of shots land but the referee is not impressed with the action on the floor and has the fighters stand. Knight connecting well as the fighters continue standing. Knight tries to take the fight to the ground but is stopped by Lineker but soon the fight is back on the ground but it's too late to make anything of it.

Round 2 and Knight looks to be keeping the fight standing but then goes in for a takedown. Not this time as Linker defends. Knight is the more active fighter and is scoring relatively well with the stand up. Knight manages to get a takedown and lands in guard. Linker is controlling from the bottom and is managing to avoid any damage from the GnP from Knight. As the round comes to an end the referee has the fighters stand up.

Round 3 and Knight quickly has the fight on the ground. Knight is successful with some GnP but Lineker soon has control of his wrists looking to stop a beating. Lineker takes top position and this could be trouble for Knight as Linker steps it up! Knight is twisting around trying to escape. He bucks up and he's back on top! Knight is still trying to land some strikes but he's missing far more than hitting. As the round comes to an end it looks like the judges are getting the final say...

Knight def. Lineker via decision (unanimous).

Joseph Shoznes (4-6) vs. Salvatore Lucania (5-2-1)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/40/40w14.jpghttp://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/23/23w15.jpg

Joseph Shoznes takes on Salvatore Lucania next as Team Kaiser takes on Team Fighters First Nutrition. Joseph Shoznes comes to the fight with a record of 3-5 and is here fighting for Team Kaiser. Salvatore Lucania is fighting for Team Fighters First and comes to the fight with a record of 3-2-1 after joining the tournament at Week 3.

Round 1 and the fight is on! Both fighters are going at it when Shoznes takes the fight into the clinch. Shoznes is active in the clinch but Lucania manages to break free. The 2 fighters are trading blows with a close call for Shoznes as Lucania connects with an upper cut. He's fine though and the fight is standing right until the end of the round.

Round 2 and Shoznes is trying to slow Lucania down with legs kicks. Lucania tries for a takedown but is stopped by Shoznes. Still standing and the fighters are trading blows with Lucania keeping his distance as the shots pass him by. Lucania once again trying to change things up a little as he tries for a clinch but with no luck. As the round comes to a close we see Shoznes getting the better of the round.

Round 3 and the fighters are really active. Some decent shots hit home from both fighters but on the whole the accuracy could do with tidying up. We're into the 3rd round here and both fighters have everything to fight for. Lucania is getting the better of the stand up and at one point it looks like Shoznes is in trouble as Lucania has him against the cage delivering some big shots. Although there's a lot of action there is no way either of these fighters is leaving the cage early and we're off to the judges for the decision.

Lucania def. Shoznes via decision (unanimous).

Barry Allen (13-3-1) vs. Diego Kramer (6-9)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/11/11w14.jpghttp://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/1/1w20.jpg

Next we have Barry Allen, fighting for Team Reaper take on Diego Kramer, here for Heisenberg Fight Team. Allen joined the tournament in Week 8 where he loss via KO, punches. It is his 2nd appearance for the ITFL tonight and will be hoping for a better result. Kramer...Kramer...Kramer...what can we say about him? Still to pull off a win Kramer is making his 9th appearance tonight.

Round 1 and Allen takes the fight to the ground within seconds of the round starting. Kramer keeping active, stopping Allen from controlling. Some missed GnP from Allen and we see a position change with Kramer taking top position! There's too little action and the referee calls for a stand up. Back standing and Kramer goes for a clinch but Allen stops it. Allen is active and sees a chance to connect with Kramer as he makes the mistake of dropping his hands and Kramer is down on one knee! Back on his feet and Kramer takes the fight into the clinch. Kramer is trying to deliver knees to Allen's head buthe is defending well. Allen is trying to take the fight to the ground but is having difficulty. Eventually he pulls guard and the fighters are on the ground but we are really close to the end of the round. And that's it, the end of the round.

Round 2 and the fighters are active from the start. Exchanging shots we soon see the fight in the clinch as Kramer drives through and clinches against the cage. Allen is coming out the better fighter in the clinch and soon Kramer is rocked! Kramer isn't going out just yet though and soon recovers. He continues to try and land knees to the body in the clinch but Allen is still defending well. The fighters continue to fight it out in the clinch until Allen gets the fight to the ground but it's late in the round again and the round is up before anyone can make anything of it.

Round 3 and Kramer comes at Allen with some wild shots that allows Allen to counter and get the fight onto the ground. Again, there is no action and the referee calls for the fighters to stand back up. Allen gets the fight into the clinch. The fighters are once again active in the clinch with both fighters scoring well. Allen is trying to take the fight to the ground but is stopped by Kramer. Diego looks to be stepping things up a little but will it help? The 2 fighters are fighting it out in the clinch as the round, and the fight, come to an end.

Allen def. Kramer via decision (unanimous).

Colin Croft (11-0) vs. Steve Menzies (1-9)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/22/22b14.jpghttp://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/7/7w12.jpg

We see fighters from Team Reaper and Heisenberg Fight Team take to the cage again next as the seemingly indestructible Colin Croft takes on the destructible Steve Menzies. Croft is fighting for Team Reaper and comes to the tournament with a faultless record of 8 wins in the tournament. Moving onto Menzies we see a different story all together as he is yet to win in the tournament and comes with a record of 8 losses and is here fighting for Heisenberg Fight Team.

Round 1 gets the go-ahead and Croft is soon put on the floor by a well timed head kick from Menzies - are we going to see a modern day David and Goliath? Croft recovers and soon has the fight in the clinch. Both fighters are active in the clinch and Menzies picks up a cut! Colin is far more active in the clinch but is failing to land a good portion of his strikes.

Round 2 and Croft is really putting the pressure on Menzies. Menzies cut is opening up more. Menzies is really struggling to keep up with Croft. Croft connects with a great head kick...wait for it...not yet...and Menzies is down and out!

Croft def. Menzies via KO (head kick).

ITFL 2 - Week 9/2

part 2...

Daniyel Nebi (11-3) vs. Aloysius Martin Thesz (11-4)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/1/1w16.jpghttp://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/13830178273557.jpg

It's time for Team Hells Balls Nutrition and Team Steel Penn to meet next. Their fighters? Well for Team Hells Balls we have Daniyel Nebi take to the cage. He comes to the fight with a record of 3-1 after joining the tournament in Week 5. Aloysius Martin Thesz is fighting for Team Steel Penn and has the slightly better tournament record of 4-3 after coming to the tournament at Week 2.

Round 1 and we see Thesz try for a takedown but is stopped by Nebi. The fighters atay standing for a while until Thesz manages to score a takedown. Thesz has the better bbj so will this see the fight end sooner than later? Thesz looking for an arm triangle but no luck. Another sub attempt is defended by Nebi and with little action after that the referee calls for the pair to stand back up. Back standing and the fighters trade blows with Nebi desperate to keep the fight standing. Thesz delivers a massive left hand and Nebi is on the ground. Thesz goes to the ground looking to finish...can he? Thesz is looking for a submission...and ...Nebi is tapping out!!

Thesz def. Nebi via 1sr round submission (kimura).

Zell Griever (13-5) vs. Robert Beckett (15-5)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/41/41b16.jpghttp://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/41/41a1.jpg

Zell Griever is up next, fighting for Team Syndicate Nutrition. With a record of 4-4 it is interesting to note that one of his losses was at the hands of Robert Beckwell. Fighting for Team BHP, Robert Beckwell will be looking for another win over Griever and comes to the fight with a record of 5-3.

Round 1 gets underway and Beckett is failing to connect with Griever. Griever on the other hand is opting for a more cautious approach allowing him to score well. Beckett missing again with a body shot attempt and...wow...we see Griever counter with a flying knee and it's all over as he dives in and finishes with a bunch of strikes. Well, that must be sweet revenge for his previous loss to Beckett!

Griever def. Beckett via TKO (strikes).

Vaimaa Fatu (9-8) vs. Dmitry Borschev (13-3)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/13770309319008.jpghttp://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/19/19w14.jpg

Up next is Vaimaa Fatu. Fatu has been one of the warriors from the beginning of the tournament and despite not racking up a great number of wins, is another fighter that looks to be seeing this thing through from the beginning to the end. With a record of 3-5 Fatu is here fighting for Team Hells Balls. He isup against Steel Penn fighter, Dmitry Borschev. Having joined the tournament in week 5, Borschev is coming to the fight with 3 wins and 1 loss.

Round 1 and Dmitry has Fatu pinned up against the cage and delivering some big shots. The fighters are really going for it and Dmitry picks up a cut! Fatu is the more aggressive fighter but I can see this being a close round if both fighters keep up the action. Fatu connecting well with those leg kicks and Borschev is looking uncomfortable after another connects! Borschev connecting well and it looks like Fatu is now cut! Fatu is pinned against the cage and that cut looks to be getting worse - it's really opened up now.

Round 2 and both fighters come out giving it all that they have! Fatu is showing some great stand up as he connects well against Borschev. Borschev trying to get in range and takes a shot to the nose but he's still coming...taking an upper cut and a jab and still he's not getting the message! Borschev showing some good striking after all that and it looks like Fatu has turned red with all the blood - that cut looks shocking! We see a pause in the action as the referee gets the doc to take a look at Fatu...OK guys, it's more than a pause...it's over! Looks like Borschev's persistence paid off.

Borschev def. Fatu via TKO (cut).

Conan Drogo (15-5) vs. Vinnie Vincent (10-8)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/42/42a2.jpghttp://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/19/19w17.jpg

Team Kaiser takes on Team Fighters First Nutrition next as Kaisers' Drogo takes on Fighters Firsts' Vincent. Conan Drogo is currently doing quite well for himself and his team with a record of 6 wins with 2 losses. Vinnie Vincent comes to the tournament with a record of 5 wins with 3 losses. These 2 fighters met in week 2 where the result was a win for Vinnie via a triangle choke submission in round 3.

Round 1 and Drogo comes out the tough guy! Drogo is far more aggressive and keeps the pressure on Vincent. A right hand lands for Drogo and Vincent is rocked! Could it be all over all ready? No, we see a fight back from Vincent as he throws in a few counter shots that gets Drogo's attention. Vincent tries with a takedown but it's a pretty poor attempt. Still standing and another takedown attempt ends with the fighters in the clinch. Drogo getting the better in the clinch. A failed attempt to get the fight to ground for Vincent and we soon see him break free. Vincent avoiding Drogo's shots well and the fight is back in the clinch. Vincent is working hard to get the fight to the ground but Drogo is desperate to keep the fight standing. Most of the time in the clinch is spent either trying for a takedown or stopping one! We're back at striking distance but it's not long until the round ends.

Round 2 and a takedown attempt by Vincent is stuffed but the fight is taken into the clinch by Drogo. There's little action in the clinch and Vincent eventually breaks free. Drogo is attacking Vincent's legs looking to slow him down and a 3rd takedown attempt is stopped by Drogo. Drogo gets the fight back in the clinch. Vincent is trying to get free but Drogo keeps the fight in the clinch. A hook from Drogo and Vincent isn't looking too good! He pulls through enough to secure that takedown he been looking for! Drogo defending well against the GnP. The referee gets the fight stood back up but Vincent gets the fight back on the canvas but we're too far along in the round to see anything come of it.

Round 3 and Vincent is suddenly doing well with these takedowns as he gets the fight to the ground early into the round. Drogo is working from the bottom and knows he needs to be careful. Vincent failing to land any GnP. The referee gets the fighters to stand up and Vincent is on a roll as he gets another takedown! Vincent is again struggling to deliver that GnP and Drogo is looking to get out of this tricky position. A lack of action and the referee has the fighters back standing. Drogo struggling to land anything and the fight is back on the ground - we're coming to the end of the round and the fight, so we're pressed for time. Vincent goes for a sub!! Will we see a last minute win here? He goes for a second attempt...but Drogo is defending well and that's the end of the fight.

Drogo def. Vincent via decision (unanimous).

It's Team Kaiser and Team Fighters First up next again. Kenta Kobashi is fighting for Team Kobashi and has only 1 loss so far in the tournament with 7 wins. Fighting for Team Fighters First Nutrition, Castiel Angel comes to the fight with a record of 5 wins and 3 losses.

Round 1 and Kobashi is doing well avoiding strikes from Angel. The fight goes to the floor as Angel secures a takedown. Angel is struggling to connect with some strikes and Kobashi manages to advance to a top position! Now it's Angel having to defend against some GnP! The fighters are stood back up and Kobashi is trying to keep the fight there! But Angel manages to get the fight back on the canvas. Kobashi defending well against the GnP and it's the end of the round.

Round 2 sees Angel go straight in for a takedown but is stopped by Kobashi. The fight is kept standing with Kobashi getting the better of the stand up...and this is where he plans on keeping the fight! Landing some leg kicks Kobashi is looking to slow Angel down. Kobashi's reach advantage is paying off as he connects well as the round comes to an end.

Round 3 and Angel shows some great stand up as the round gets going. It's not long though before Kobashi starts getting the better of the fight and soon has the fight in the clinch but something tells him to break straight away. We're back striking and Kobashi is scoring well. Angel has a takedown attempt stuffed. A head kick from Kobashi lands and Angel is rocked! Then another!! And Angel is out!

Fighting for Team Steel Penn, Evgeniy Malkin comes to the fight with a tournament record of 6 wins and 2 losses. Another match up where the fighters have met previously - the result of this one was a KO vistory for Badoyan in Week 2.

Round 1 gets going and both fighters are really going for it! It will be difficult to keep up this pace through out the fight! And Malkin is knocked down...let's hope this isn't the end for Malkin as this promised to be a great stand up battle. Malkin is back on his feet but he is rocked. A massive right hand from Badoyan and Malkin is down with Badoyan diving in to finish the fight.

Badoyan def. Malkin via 1st round KO (punch).
