Goatacre Posted September 29, 2013 Report Share Posted September 29, 2013 As it stands currently (there are, of course, more fights to come yet this month), it looks to me like there is an error in the averaging of the points in division 1. 5. Bawon Samedi - 18 fights, 12 wins, 1 draw, 5 losses, 4 finishes. Hype bonus 2 6. Matt Cave - 17 fights, 11 wins, 0 draws, 6 losses, 4 finishes. Hype bonus 3 The way I thought it works, was that Bawon has 41 points from his 18 fights, which based on his average points per fight comes to a score of 18.2 from 8 fights. Adding his hype bonus gives 20.2. Compared with my position, where I have 37 points from 17 fights, which based on my average points per fight comes to a score of 17.4 from 8 fights. Adding my hype bonus gives 20.4. However, the table shows me in 6th position rather than 5th. Do I have it wrong, or is this an error? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

(number of fights / 8 ) = X (Total points - Hype bonus) = Y (Y / X) + Hype Bonus = Total score (rounded up) Both come to 21 at the moment which is what is displaying. Yours is just a longer way of doing it Matt's 18 / 8 = 2.25 43 - 3 = 40 40 / 2.25 + 3 = 20.7777 rounded up = 21 Barwon 19 / 8 = 2.375 47 - 2 = 45 45 / 2.375 + 2 = 20.94 rounded up to 21 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
