  1. It's been a brilliant 3 years, experiencing pretty much everything there is to enjoy in the game. However, that's it for me, I'll probably pop in here every once in a while but no more fights. Hope the game continues to develop and flourish. All the best guys.
  2. Nothing to do with me, I barely had to plan with Croft, he really was fantastic. I'm out of the loop though - what's up with Duphus?
  3. The team thing is just straight knock out? So maximum two more weeks? If that's the case, let's give it a shot and see how it goes. It'd definitely be a shame not to see things through with Croft.
  4. Hmmm. Not sure I'll be able to keep Croft going through that. I'm about to enter year end at work where I'll be doing nothing other than working, eating and sleeping. Can't guarantee I'll log in to accept fights, let alone set sliders.
  5. I've not paid much attention to what's been going on so could very well be wrong...are you right to make 3 picks?
  6. That would be fast, given the competition round hasn't yet begun... Nice enthusiasm, Hebanito, but you might want to recap the thread a bit
  7. Fantastic idea I still use your spreadsheet, Kronix, complete with a few additions I made. However, that's just so I record my slider setting used in every fight for future reference.
  8. So after spending last time out toying with his opponent in order to dish out maximum pain, Croft returned to the more mundane business of knocking fools out today. He also did so after breathing heavily, as his heavyweight opponent (foot taller, 2 stone heavier) went for the standard high aggression/damage tactics often used when desperate times call for desperate measures. Naturally, Croft weathered the storm to get the win, when lesser men would have wilted. He wasn't rocked but it was similar, before coming back for the TKO.
  9. Don't think so, I returned a few times (giving it a few minutes break each time) and it remained the same.
  10. Both of you are complicating things by using base numbers different to my original post. You agree with me that the division standings were incorrect based on the information I've included above, right?
  11. As it stands currently (there are, of course, more fights to come yet this month), it looks to me like there is an error in the averaging of the points in division 1. 5. Bawon Samedi - 18 fights, 12 wins, 1 draw, 5 losses, 4 finishes. Hype bonus 2 6. Matt Cave - 17 fights, 11 wins, 0 draws, 6 losses, 4 finishes. Hype bonus 3 The way I thought it works, was that Bawon has 41 points from his 18 fights, which based on his average points per fight comes to a score of 18.2 from 8 fights. Adding his hype bonus gives 20.2. Compared with my position, where I have 37 points from 17 fights, which based on my average points per fight comes to a score of 17.4 from 8 fights. Adding my hype bonus gives 20.4. However, the table shows me in 6th position rather than 5th. Do I have it wrong, or is this an error?
  12. It's not impossible, I won a fight in TUM2 with an injured fighter (3 days, I think) versus a non-injured fighter.
  13. Plus if it says he won't be injured on the scouting tool, I expect that's correct. I think the injuries update on GMT and so if your fight was that same game day but in a later timezone that's what can give that impression.
  14. Surely that has to be interpreted as low intelligence?
  15. Finish at 4:19 for Croft. He's rather ashamed of taking so long to get the KO, so sent me to claim the money instead.
  16. Yes, that is quite a gap, but not hugely unusual compared with the past. If you win a very high proportion of your fights (as he has done) then the rating becomes insanely negative. Plenty of managers have been in that position before when they've gone through a purple patch. There are times when it can indicate that a manager is crushing cans though, and really need to be stepping up in competition...
  17. Or hold two GAMMA titles simultaneously
  18. I think your argument is self-contradictory. You're right that losses don't cost you anything directly in the pyramid rankings, although if you suffer a stoppage loss that will be a point deducted in the finishes column. However, that is where the cap kicks in. So then once your alliance has hit 30 fights, then the losses definitely do count because they act as an opportunity cost to how many points you can achieve. In the alliance pyramid, the maximum score you can achieve for the month is 144. As soon as you start losing fights, or even failing to finish opponents, your highest possible score falls. This is providing the balance that you're looking for. Don't worry, we know you're not trying to target DILLIGAF
  19. Responding to the original post, I disagree that smaller alliances should be unable to compete as they do now. The 30 fight point is fair as it is. Sure, in a smaller alliance there are fewer managers that need to have a good month in order for the alliance to have a successful time. However, that argument plays just as well in reverse, if any of those managers has a bad month then it makes it massively difficult for the alliance as a whole to succeed. We've seen it with our own alliance, DILLIGAF. A couple of times recently I've had shocking months and it's had a hugely detrimental impact on our alliance, leading to relegation one time. In short, being successful in the alliance pyramid league is equally as hard whether your alliance has 5 members or 50. What matters is the quality of the managers involved - having an alliance of 50 members doesn't mean it's harder to reach the top than if you've got 5 members. Look at the history of the division 1 title - consistently won by Convicted for most of the time who easily exceed the 30 fights a month mark. We're yet to see a small alliance win division 1, although that should change this month when DILLIGAF win it
