catako
http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/1/1w21.jpg Perry Charcobeau My first Ko loss of my carrer comes to a great veteran. Maybe I was going a bit too strong and I let myself exposed sometimes thinking my chin is indestructable, but he proved me wrong. At least we put out a great perfomance for the fans. I feel that if we weren't smashing each other's heads in that we could actually be good friends. We have fought all over the world, with you beating me in New York while i got your back in Montreal. This time we fight in my adopted home in London where 93 thousand fans will attend to watch who will win the rubber match. We are both at crucial points in our career and we both like to mix it up. The Question is where will this fight go, and how till i finish you?

I managed to mount you and get your back, but damn you are a tough prick! Tried to finish, but you caught me. It happens. Maybe we can do it again some day.... Guest
http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1461592208MFN_309_poster.jpg MFN 309 - Seven Title Showdown The last few weeks have seen a steady decline in MFN's events. Management has been on record stating the decline was predictable because of the magnitude of MFN 309. Seven titles are on the line at the event, which is a first for MFN in its long history. How many titles will change hands? Let's take an in depth look at each of the title matchups : http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/13999344081316.jpg VS. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/43/43w10.jpg Sam Quint Ice Drago 135 Title : Sam Quint has been on a tear since joining MFN! The argument could be made that outside of future MFN Hall of Famer Azusa Moribe this fight against Drago is his toughest challenge yet. Drago brings a list of tough competitors that he has vanquished with him. Both men have proven chins and decent KO power, as well as shown a refusal to lose with good heart. Experience-wise, Drago has a slight edge, but Quint's manager has been pressing all of the right buttons as of late. I expect this battle to take place mostly in the clinch with a lot of head hunting by both men. Chin strength will prove who wins this battle. Prediction : In a 5 round slugfest, Quint wins by decision http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/1/1w10.jpg VS. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/1/1w25.jpg Bjorn Helgi Salosen Mara 170 Title : In a long awaited battle, Helgi and Mara will square off against each other. Both men have spent at least 7 months at MFN and this is their first matchup together. Helgi went on an unprecedented winning streak that was recently ended by Kantaro Hoshino in his last fight. Hoshino is a KO machine, though, so losing to him is no shame. Helgi is a bit older than Mara, and has had various ups and downs in his career. Mara, on the other hand, is still in his prime. Mara has had a bit of bad luck with the judges a few times during his time at MFN, but always fights well. Mara's chin is a bit better than Helgi's, and thus I think he will have the edge in this one. Throw in the fact that Mara's history with poor judging will undoubtedly influence his attack plan for this fight, and I expect Mara to come out swinging. Mara will likely want to stand and bang with Helgi, whereas Helgi should try to get this fight into the clinch postion. If Helgi can manage that, I like his chances... but Mara will not let him. Not this time. Maybe in a future re-match. Prediction : Mara by 3rd round KO http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14305271558249.gif VS. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14245331885280.jpg Tevin Mangrove Jr. Micky Scouser 265 Title : Defeating William Burns is no easy task. Scouser was unable to accomplish that feat, while Mangrove did it in his last fight. Both of these men have only been with MFN for a short time, but it has been long enough to where we could see this fight coming. Scouser is more of a brawler who hits with power and uses any means necessary to get a win, whereas Mangrove is more of a finesse and accurate boxer. Don't get me wrong, Mangrove can knock a fighter down easily, and has a nice list of fighters whom he has already accomplished that against... but Scouser has the intangibles. Just his look gives Scouser an angry appearance. When looking at a fight even the little things matter. I wouldn't want to meet Scouser in a dark alley, but I'm sure Mangrove would be fun to party with. Point being, in this battle which style will prevail? I suspect Scouser will swing and miss a few too many times looking for that elusive KO, and Mangrove will win on points. Prediction : Mangrove wins by decision after 5 rounds http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/13885151776753.jpg VS. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14380256318812.jpg Anton Chekhov Puntti Manne 145 Title : Back on January 10th, these two warriors met each other in a fight where Manne forced Chekhov to tap after a wonderfully placed americana. Since their fight in January, Chekhov has gone undefeated, while Manne lost to Dickie Dirty twice. Between the fighters, Manne is still the better technical fighter and can win in many ways. Chekhov has displayed proficiency in both the standup and in the clinch, but his ground game is still a work in progress. Because it worked last time, and because Manne's manager has been calling the shots correctly as of late, I expect Manne to try and win this one on the ground. The victor will be Chekhov if Manne can't succeed in doing that. It might not be an americana this time... maybe will see a TDPW Prediction : Manne by 4th round submission Preview continues in the next post...
Guest
http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/42/42b27.jpg VS. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14165646604640.jpg Ugor Makinwa Zlatan Spazstor 205 Title : The tale of Ugor Makinwa at MFN is a long one with many ups and downs. Many times his fight determines who holds the belt afterwards (some as a challenger and others defending his title), but the point is that Ugor has been one of the more successful fighters in MFN history. Many opponents have underestimated his ability to fight...including Spazstor. Back in March, these two fighters fought each other in a fight that Spazstor was pretty much dominating until Makinwa landed a viscous head kick in the third round. This re-match is a direct result of that fight, and I expect both men to come out head hunting in what could be the most boxing-esque fight of the night. You can never count Ugor out of a fight, but I suspect Spazstor will land more punches than last time and win. Prediction : Spazstor by decision after 5 rounds http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/4/4b19.jpg VS. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14067514938790.jpg Daniel Brown Juan Koski 155 Title : Word out of Brown's camp is that he's still celebrating his victory over Magnus Mamba from his last fight on April 6th. In the short time since, Brown's name has been on the lips and in the minds of the entire 155 class at MFN. The first man to step up and challenge Brown is Koski, who has been patiently waiting for his opportunity to seize the title. Both men have been pretty successful at MFN and the true winner of this fight will be the fans, who will be treated to what appears to be the most equal matchup of the night. Either man could emerge from this fight with the belt. Both men are very adept at adapting their game plan in the heat of the battle, and both men can use a variety of methods to secure a victory. It's pretty much a toss-up to see who will win... Enjoy the best fight of the night. Prediction : Brown by 5th round KO http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/33/33w7.jpg VS. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/13858896106806.png Karim Bashorov Vladimir Ignatov 185 Title : Karim Bashorov is a beast. He is a very technical fighter, takes on tough competition, and emerges victorious most of the time. One of his losses was against Nikolai Dzhumagliev back in November. It's ironic because Ignatov recently fought to a draw and then a victory in the rematch against the same fighter at the beginning of this month. Both men are technical and accurate fighters and prefer a more defensive game plan. I suspect this means we will see an entire 5 round fight. There's no harm in that as technical fights are entertaining most of the time. Since Ignatov changed managers back in January, he has been very successful, whereas Bashorov's manager is well known for being one of the best managers around. Everything about this fight screams awesomeness, but I think Bashorov has a slight chin advantage. Ignatov's chin is very good, but I think many shots from Bashorov will find their mark leading to another victory at the judges table for the current champ. Prediction : Bashorov by decision after 5 rounds

Guest
On Jan 1, MFN will host its final event for a little while. Simply put, I need a break from this game. I've started a business in real life that is taking up all of my time. I'm not pulling the plug completely on MFN returning at some point in some way, but instead of pretending to be guiding this ship, like i have the last few months, its time to put MFN on the shelf. I will try to find fights to fill the remaining cards over the next few days, but once the cards are full I will be releasing everyone else.
