Warrior Fight League presents WFL 5-Haarmann versus Schmidt live from Wild Bob’s Bar in Helsinki on January 29th 2014. This event will also feature another big Light Heavyweight fight and several Featherweight Fights. When the dust clears we will have our first Light Heavyweight Champion and the Featherweight division will be turned upside down. Without further ado let’s dive into these great fights.

Preliminary Bout Number One- Featherweight Fight

Ronaldo Hispanyola (5-3) {0-1} versus Horse "Imperial" Imperial (0-1) {0-1}

Hispanyola is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu fighter so he will want to get this fight to the ground. Four of Ronaldo’s five fights have been won by submission. Unfortunately for Ronaldo he has run into a bit of an unlucky patch as he has lost his last two fights, so he will want to get back on the winning track right away. Imperial lost his only professional fight by decision so he will also want to get on the winning track. The well versed Muay Thai striker will look to keep the fight standing. He should mix up his strikes well so it will be harder for Hispanyola to take the fight to the ground. Leg kicks and head kicks should work just fine as I would stay away from the clinch. I think Hispanyola will get the fight to the ground and win by submission in the first round.

Preliminary Bout Number Two- Welterweight Fight

Szymon "The Steamroller" Kowalski (1-0) {0-0} versus Alexander "Mother Russia" Dubrovsky (2-3) {1-1}

Kowalski is boxer who laid out his only opponent in the first round. Kowalski should some great ground skill in his last fight defending a few submissions and escaping back to his feet. Those skills should not come into play at all in this fight. He will want to avoid range striking but he could have a good shot in the clinch. Do not let Dubrovsky’s record fool you. Two of his three losses came to the same opponent who was a submission fighter. When it comes to the striking game Mother Russia knows how to bring it hard. He will be happy to exchange strikes with Kowalski and both of these fighters will be looking to knock each other out. I think Dubrovsky will get the better of the exchange and I have him winning by knockout in the second round.

Preliminary Bout Number Three- Featherweight Fight

Reinaldo "Animal" Aruba (5-1) {0-0} versus Luis "Luiggi" Machin (1-2) {0-0}

Aruba is a wrestler and a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu specialist who will be looking to quickly get this fight to the ground. His first two wins came by submission, but in his last three fights it went to decision. Aruba will want to wrap up Machin in any way because once it goes to the ground he will not want the fight to get back up. Machin is a wrestler but he will have an advantage in the striking department and should look to stuff any take down attempts. He will want to use some leg kicks to slow down his opposition and mix that in with some punches. He should look to avoid head kicks and clinches so he can stay away from easy takedowns. I see Aruba getting the fight to the ground and winning via submission in the first round.

Main Card Bout Number One- Featherweight Fight

Artie Lange (12-12) {0-1} versus Nick Renne (1-0) {1-0}

Lange is a very experienced fighter with twenty four fights under his belt. The thirty three year old former HERO fighter is a submission specialist with seven wins coming by way of submission. Lange has been knocked out nine times so he will want to go to the ground, even though Renne is also a ground fighter. Renne all though is a ground and pounder instead of a submission fighter. In Renne’s only fight he scored a first round takedown and pounded away at his opponent. In the second round his opponent pulled guard, and Renne pounded his way to a knockout victory. This fight will be an interesting ground bout with a submission fighter and a ground and pounder, and I am going to pick the younger striker in this fight. I got Renne winning in the second round by knockout, but he will need to be heavy on the submission defense.

Main Card Bout Number Two- Featherweight Fight

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/40/40w41.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/2/2w6.jpg

Darren "The Axeman" McGlynn (2-1) {0-1} versus Tim "Far Lap" Farland (1-1) {0-1}

“The Axeman” is a striker through and through. He took his first loss of his career in the WFL by allowing the fight to go to decision. McGlynn has asked for a rematch, but he will need to pick up a win in this one to get it. McGlynn feels he is the better striker in this one and he should be looking to keep this fight standing. Farland also lost his first fight right here in the WFL. So both of these fighters are trying to rebound, and Farlands best chance will be to take down McGlynn. Farland is a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and his only win came by submission so he does have a ground game. He should look to exploit McGlynn on the ground. I think The Axeman will come out on top with a first round knockout as Farland will struggle to get the fight to the ground.

Main Card Bout Number Three- Featherweight Fight

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/22/22w18.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/21/21b16.jpg

Artair Dostan (7-5-1) {0-1} versus Anucha Poopha (8-2) (0-0)

Dostan got a great start to his career winning his first five fights. Things have not looked so well since, in his last eight fights he has two wins five losses and a draw. If Dostan wants to get back on the winning side of the track he will need to use his wrestling and Jiu Jitsu in this bout. He should look to take down his opponent as quickly as he can, and avoid striking at all. Poopha is eight and two and his only two losses came against the same opponent. Poopha is two time Galaxy Featherweight Champion and is looking to bring that championship pedigree to the WFL. Poopha is the better striker, but he is not overmatched horribly on the ground. Obviously Poopha will want to stand and strike with Dostan, but if he is taken down it is not immediately over. I am going to have to pick Poopha to win this fight, and my guess it will be by TKO in the second round.

Main Card Bout Number Four- Light Heavyweight Fight

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/36/36w7.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/4/4b7.jpg

Kuku Xumusu (10-9) {0-1} versus Kevin "Grinder" Stevens (3-0) {2-0}

Xumusu is a veteran to Mixed Martial Arts as he is a nineteen fight veteran. He is a submission fighter and currently holds a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He has demonstrated his grappling abilities with six submission victories throughout his career. He will want to get Sevens to the ground where he can take control of this fight. Stevens is a wrestler that absolutely loves to strike. Stevens will take you down and ground and pound his way to victory, or he will clinch it up and smash your face in. Stevens also does not mind striking at range, and he should look to do the latter in this one. Obviously he will not want to takedown the submission specialist, and a clinch could allow Kuku to pull guard. I think Stevens will be able to use his wrestling to keep the fight standing and punch his way to a knockout victory as we all know Xumusu does not have the best chin. I think Stevens gets this win in the first round via knockout.

Main Event, Main Card Bout Number Five- Light Heavyweight Title Fight

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/28/28w11.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/16/16w22.jpg

Fritz "The Butcher Of Hanover" Haarmann (6-0) {1-0} versus Don Schmidt (4-0) {2-0}

Haarmann not only has one of the greatest nicknames he also holds a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. In his only WFL fight Haarmann was able to get his opponent to the ground and submit him early in the second round. Getting the fight to the ground will be what Fritz wants in this one, but he will not want to let this fight get anywhere near the second round. Don Schmidt is a very powerful striker as we have seen with his violent knockouts. In Don’s four fights he has spent only two minutes and nineteen second in the cage. Both of his fights in the WFL Schmidt was able to bring home Knockout of the Night awards, and he will be looking to do much of the same in this one. Schmidt will have to defend more takedowns in this fight then he has ever had before. I will not be able to make a prediction on this fight do to the fact I manage Don Schmidt myself, so if you like to gamble on my predictions sorry about this one.

An interview with Don Schmidt

After the fight back in the dressing room area a reporter was able to catch up with Don Schmidt, the loser of tonight's main event.

Report: So Don what happened out there?

Don: He scored the take down. I had been working on my defense these past few weeks, but he was able to get right threw,

Reporter: So whats the plan now?

Don: Well I am going to go home and get back to training. I am going to have to work even harder now that my weakness has been exposed.

Reporter: Who is next for Don Schmidt?

Don: Well that is for Mr. James to decide. I am not going to turn anything down because this is what I love to do.

Reporter: Who would you like to fight?

Don: If I had my pick I would want a rematch for the title, but I don't think that will happen right away. I think Kevin Stevens will most likely get the next opportunity, so I don't know. I guess I would like to fight the new comer Karol Janosik.

Reporter: Is there anything else you would like to add?

Don: Yes of course. I would like to thank my manager Tony Rossi for getting me this far. I would also like to thank Mr. James for giving me this opportunity. I would also like to thank my opponent Fritz Haarmann for a great fight. I also want to let Haarmann and the entire Light Heavyweight division know that this loss is not going to set me back or derail my dreams. I will be the WFL Light Heavyweight Champion and you can take that to the bank.

Reporter: Alright thank you for your time Don. We will be seeing you soon.

Don: Alright thank you.

This may seem like a down card because the last two had title fights, but I assure you it will be action packed. We have ten big fights coming to you live at Wild Bob’s bar in Helsinki. Warrior Fight League will be proud to put this event on, and we are hoping for a sellout. So grab your tickets as we are only four days away. Let’s take a look at WFL-6 Hatake versus Rogers.

Preliminary Bout Number 1- Light Heavyweight Fight

Oskar Wysocki (3-0) {2-0} versus Sergei "Perec" Garkov (4-6) {0-0}

Wysocki has been very impressive since turning pro. He is coming into this fight with a record of three wins and zero losses. Oskar has a win by decision, submission, and knockout so obviously he is very versatile. He should be looking to take the more experienced fighter down to the mat in this one. Garkov is a twenty eight year old ten fight veteran who will be making his Warrior Fighting League debut. Sergei is a striker and will want to keep the wrestler from taking him down, so I hope he has been working on his takedown defense. He has lost four of his last five fights and I know he wants to turn that around. I don’t think he will in this one as I have Oskar Wysocki winning by submission in the second round.

Preliminary Bout Number 2- Light Heavyweight Fight

Bob Henderson (0-1) {0-1} versus Shen "The God Of War" Woo (0-1) {0-0}

Henderson decided to take the fight to the ground in his only bout and he paid for it. Bob was submitted in the first minute of the first round by a brown belt. He should not be worried about the submissions in this one so if he wants to go for the ground and pound I say go. His back round is in boxing so he may want to stand and throw from the pocket. Shen Woo is also a boxer who took his first loss against a Jiu Jitsu fighter. It seemed that Woo wanted to ground and pound as well, so this fight is really interesting to me. The two may stand and strike or it could be a war of takedown attempts. Since both fighters are boxer I will go with the guy who is taller since he has more reach. Bob Henderson to win by way of knockout in the first round.

Preliminary Bout Number 3- Light Heavyweight Fight

Jon "Iron Will" Waldteufel (1-2) {0-2} versus Adonis "Superman" Stevenson (2-2) {0-2}

Since Jon “Iron Will” Waldteufel stepped into the WFL it has been downhill. He showed up with a one and zero record and since he has been knocked out twice. His only win came by decision in which he controlled most of the fight from the ground. That should not be his game plan in this one. At all costs Waldteufel will want to stand up and strike. Stevenson is a wrestler and a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu so he will want this fight on the ground. “Superman” has had some trouble of late as he also has lost his last two fights. He is going to want to rebound with a quick submission victory and forget about the problems he has had since signing with WFL. I think the fighter who turns it around will be Adonis “Superman” Stevenson by winning via submission in the first round.

Preliminary Bout Number 4- Light Heavyweight Fight

Fernando "The Flash" Martinez (4-2) {0-0} versus Executive "Screen" Screening (1-0) {0-0}

Fernando won his first fight and then joined Infinity where he lost his next two fights. Since leaving the organization seen Martinez has won his last three fights. In all four of his wins Martinez has he showed off his purple belt skills with submission victories. Screening is a wrestler and that could prove to be his downfall in this one. I am not sure if he will want to takedown the Jiu Jitsu fighter since he could be at a major disadvantage. Screening won his only fight doing most of his damage from the ground. He was attempting submissions and looking to strike. Not sure if that will be his same game plan but I would change it up. I think Martinez gets the submission win in the first round after Screening gets the takedown.

Preliminary Bout Number 5- Featherweight Fight

Sid "Mini Dragon" Going (2-0) {0-0} versus Liubomir "d00mR" Panayotov (0-0) {0-0}

Going has had a good start to his young career. A two and zero record only gets a good start because his last win was a majority decision. “Mini Dragon” will be looking for a submission to showcase his purple belt, and will look for an early takedown. Even though he has some skills in boxing I think Panayotov is the far better striker. With that being said its clear Panayotov will want to keep this fight standing. He should be looking to use leg kicks to slow down the takedowns and then possibly look for a head kick or a quick plum and knee to the head. I see the debuting Panayotov getting taken down early and submitted in the first round.

Main Card Bout Number 1- Lightweight Fight

Holy Diver (8-13) {0-0} versus "Yod" Yodthanong Photirat (5-14) {0-0}

A war of the bad records as both of these fighters have had a lot of fights, and neither one of them has won half of their fights. Clearly both of these guys have come to Warrior Fight League to get their careers back on track. Diver will want to look for a quick takedown as he is a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Most of his wins have come by decision, but he has a real chance to get a submission win in this one. Certainly he needs a win as he is currently on a three fight losing streak. “Yod” is a kick boxer so clearly he wants to keep this fight standing. He does have a small back round in wrestling and he should use that to keep the fight standing. If I was him I would stay away from the clinch and throw a lot of kicks but mix up the targets. Leg, leg, head, body, head, leg should keep Diver off balanced. I think “Yod” has a real chance to win, but I have to pick Holy Diver to win by submission in the third round.

Main Card Bout Number 2- Featherweight Fight

Octavio Ramos (8-4) {0-0} versus Mr Rouge (0-0) {0-0}

The boxer with a brown belt Octavio Ramos is expecting an easy on in this fight. He has twelve fights compared to zero fights. He has a great boxing back round and has five knockout wins. The former Hero fighter has not seen action in a long time though, and a big lay off could affect him more than help him. Just because Rouge has not had a pro fight do not count him out. It’s not like last week he decided to make MMA a career. Rouge has been training a long time to make his debut and the time has finally come. Rouge is also a brown belt but I think his wrestling is a bit better, so in a tough one I am going to pick the new comer to the pro world. I have Rouge winning by submission in the second round, but this fight could go either way.

Main Card Bout Number 3- Welterweight Fight

Shinya Stanley (3-1) {1-0} versus Joshua "Savage" Swanson (4-2) {2-0}

Stanley is a wrestler and a boxer who will stand in the pocket and strike or take his opponent down and ground and pound. In this fight he should be looking to stand and strike as Swanson has already proven he is a great submission artist. Stanley has won two of his fights by knockout and will want to bully around the taller Swanson. Swanson does not seem to ever change up his game plan. He wants to take the fight to the mat and go right to working on submissions. He has four wins all by submission, but he has been finished in both of his losses. This is adding up to either a knock out win for Stanley or a submission victory for Swanson, and I am going to pick Swanson to win in the first round.

Co Main Event, Main Card Bout Number 4- Welterweight Fight

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/17/17w29.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/7/7b5.jpg

"Psyhco" Walter Bishop (10-2) {1-0} versus Mike "Down" Town (1-0) {1-0}

I am a big fan of both of these fighters. With that being said it may be a little bit one sided. Bishop is twenty eight years old and a twelve fight veteran. His strength is in wrestling but he holds a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as well as an excellent striker trained in boxing and Muay Thai. I am a little shocked that Town took this fight as it seems everything is point to Bishop winning. Bishop has four knockouts two submissions and four decisions so he mixes his game up well. Bishop does have a slight advantage in the Jiu Jitsu since he recently was awarded a brown belt but before he can use it he will have to get the fight to the ground. Bishop is a much better wrestler so it will be hard for “Down” Town to get this fight to the mat. I am going to pick Bishop to win this fight by knockout in the second round, but if he is foolish enough to take Town down there could be a big upset in the works.

Main Event, Main Card Bout Number 5- Heavyweight Fight

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/39/39w20.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/2/2b1.jpg

Kakashi "Gaiden" Hatake (13-11) {0-0} versus "Iron Fist" Jason Rogers (10-10) {0-0}

These two get to make their debut in a main event showdown. Not only are these two main eventing I have a strongly believe the winner of this fight will be next in line for a heavyweight title shot. Most o Hatake’s wins have been by decision but he also has five submission victories to show off his purple belt. I think his best chance in this fight will be to take down Rogers early and often. Even if he is having a hard time putting him away with a submission he does not want to stand and strike with Rogers. Seven of Rogers’s ten wins have come by TKO and he loves to throw his hands. I am surprised at how many losses Rogers has since he is such a good boxer. He also has some skill in wrestling so he might be able to prevent the takedown attempts of Hatake. This is a hard fight to call because all of Rogers’s losses have been by knockout, and even though Hatake is more of a ground fighter he does have good stand up. I am going to pick Hatake to win by TKO in the third round, but this fight will be a great closely contested bout.

Big time fights at what should be a sold out location. As I stated before go out and get your tickets now as you will not want to miss this event. This has been Tony Rossi with your preview of WFL-6 Hatake versus Rogers. All opinions in this article are those of the writers and may not reflect the opinion of Warrior Fight League. Welcome to Warrior Fight League as we present WFL-7 Aunor versus Hill. We have a great line up of fights set for this on February 8th 2014 and we will be at The Underground in Helsinki Finland. I will be looking forward to the Vickers fight, as I will want to see if he can bounce back from his first loss. Obviously the Aunor Hill fight will be something to see as well in this Featherweight showdown.

Preliminary Bout Number 1- Light Heavyweight Fight (205lbs)

Adam Kovic (2-0) {0-0} versus Bob "Probie" Probert (1-0) {0-0}

Kovic is a wrestler and submission artist who has won both of his fights by way of submission. Even though Kovic has worked on his boxing he will not want to mix it up standing with Probie. A quick shoot in and an early takedown is what Adam will need. He has a slight advantage in the experience department and he is seven years the elder in this one so his chances are good. The eighteen year old Canadian prospect Bob Probert is a boxing standout. In his only fight Probert scored a victory by TKO in only eighteen seconds and he will look to make short work of Kovic as well. Probert will need to defend some takedowns so I hope he has been working on those in camp. I am going to pick the underdog in this one, as I see Bob Probert winning the fight in the first round by TKO.

Preliminary Bout Number 2- Heavyweight Fight (265lbs)

Shawn Albright (1-1) {1-1} versus Alexander "The Great” Dezhnyov (3-0) {2-0}

Who has two thumbs and is a big Shawn Albright fan…….This guy. He really should be two and zero but slight lapse in judgment in his first fight cost him the match. He came back with a vengeance to dominate the fight in his last outing. Albright just needs to keep doing what he has been doing and look for the clinch against Alexander The Great. Since Congo’s departure from the WFL Albright now may possess the best clinch here. Alexander has won two out of his three fights by decision and the other by way of TKO. I don’t see him knocking out Albright in this one, but he can out wrestler him. That is what he should look to do, wrestle and control. At all costs stay out of the clinch and he will have a real shot to win this. I am going to pick Albright to knock him off though, and my guess would be a second round TKO victory for Shawn.

Preliminary Bout Number 3- Heavyweight Fight (265lbs)

Luigi "The Ultimate" Fuze (1-0) {0-0} versus Dorian Ilic (1-2) {0-2}

Fuze will be making his debut to the WFL and he is going to want to make it a memorable one. This wrestler and BJJ practitioner will want to avoid as many strikes as he can, while looking for any opening to take this fight to the ground. I am thinking he will not want to waste any time and go for it immediately in this one. Dorian has had a rough start to his career in the WFL with two straight losses. Both of those losses have come by TKO but I do not think he will have to worry about that in this one. We are going to need to see something from Dorian in this bout other than him hitting the mat. Look for him to come out looking to counter the takedown and only strike when it is open. I honestly do not see hope for Dorian and I am picking Fuze to win by submission in the first round.

Main Card Bout Number 1- Lightweight Fight (155lbs)

Patricio Rua (1-0) {0-0} versus "The warmaster" Wan Benming (1-0) {0-0}

I am really excited to see Rua in action. He is a very balanced fighter that can wrestler or strike with anyone in the Lightweight division. He loves to clinch and or kick but the clinch game is what he will want to use in this fight. Benming is a Muay Thai fighter who loves to strike from range. In his only fight he picked up the win by way of submission, but only after dominating his opponent in the standup aspect of the fight for a while. I think he will want to try and get this fight to the ground because I feel Rua is a better striker. I see Rua winning this fight by knockout in the first round.

Main Card Bout Number 2- Heavyweight Fight (265lbs)

Jack "Jackhammer" Vickers (3-1) {2-1} versus Greg "Rubishman" Joll (3-1) {1-1}

Both of these fighters are coming off losses in their last fight. One a little more high profiled than the other but never the less it feels about the same mentally. I really enjoy Jack Vickers fights and I am hoping he bounces back right away. Vickers is a boxer and was overwhelmed by a Muay Thai striker in his title fight. He will not need to work on his clinch game in this one, but he will need to work on the takedown defense. Joll is a wrestler and a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and he should look to avoid striking with Vickers. Greg will be looking for any opening to get this fight to the floor and Vickers would not want to be on the ground at all. Joll has never been finished in a fight and Vickers is a knockout guy so I will pick Joll to win this fight by submission in the second round.

Main Card Bout Number 3- Featherweight Fight (145lbs)

Tormund Giantsbane (13-6) {0-0} versus Andrzej "Litwin" Rostowski (12-15) {1-1}

Giantsbane is looking to turn around his fading career. He was thirteen and four at the beginning of the New Year. Since the New Year Giantsbane has dropped his last two fights and will want to turn it around here in the Warrior Fight League. As long as he can keep this fight standing Tormund will have a great shot at winning this fight. Rostowski has had twelve wins ten of which have come by submission so he will be looking to take Giantsbane down right away. Rostowski is coming off a title fight loss and he will want to bounce back as well. The winner of this fight could propel themselves into the title picture while the loser might drop to the bottom of the Featherweight division.

Co Main Event, Main Card Bout Number 4- Featherweight Fight (145lbs)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/21/21b16.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/18/18b15.jpg

Anucha Poopha (9-2) {1-0} versus Reinaldo "Animal" Aruba (6-1) {1-0}

Poopha was impressive in his last fight which was against Artair Dostan. The Muay Thai fighter got the win by way of TKO do to knees in the first round. He will want to use the striking game in this fight coming up, but I am not sold that he will want to work from the clinch. In the clinch he will be exposed to a possiable takedown or even guard being pulled against him. If this fight stays standing I am sure Poopha will have his hand raised quickly. Reinaldo Aruba is a wrestler and a submission fighter holding a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He has the conditioning to go all three rounds and the ground skills to submit people in the first round. Aruba is an awesome ground fighter and his skills where showcased in his fight against Machin. I like Poopha to get the win in this one all though. I see a late first round TKO from Poopha to climb up on in the ranks of the Featherweight division.

Main Event, Main Card Bout Number 5- Featherweight Fight

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20131222000642Belt2blank.jpgTerry Aunor (14-4) {2-0} versus Benny "The Slim" Hill (16-14) {1-0}

I think Aunor has a big advantage in the striking department of this fight. Terry will want to come out and throw leg kicks to slow down the takedown advances of Hill, while mixing in punch combo’s and head kicks. Aunor should look for a knockout since he is facing a wrestle that can rack up points with takedowns. Hill may be a wrestler but that does not guarantee him the win against the striker. Aunor has a very solid ground game as well, and could finish Hill from the ground. Hill is going to need to have a very strong game plan in this fight if he wants to knock off the champ. He should take the fight to the mat and work some ground and pound while being extremely careful. If Aunor lets a limb hang Hill will need to be all over it. I see Aunor getting the win in this one, and my guess will be a TKO in the third round.

That will wrap up WFL-7, please if you have any comments or concerns voice them on the new Warrior Fight League Smack Talk Thread. Also this preview will be posted with a few cosmetic changes that will be very pleasing to the eye. As always I am Tony Rossi the author of this preview reminding you that the views and opinions in this article are solely mine and my not reflect those of the WFL. Welcome to WFL-8 Haarmann versus Stevens. We have a big title fight at Welterweight and a five round battle at Light Heavyweight. I am not sure if it was miss-scheduled or if it is in fact a title fight, but the champ is going up against what I feel is the number one contender and it is five rounds. There are several other big WFL names in action during this event, so it is a big one folks.

Preliminary Bout Number 1- Featherweight Fight (145lbs)

Sergei Iakov (1-1) {0-1} versus Liubomir "d00mR" Panayotov (0-1) {0-1}

Both of these guys are coming of losing their debut here in WFL. The Featherweight division is one of the strongest here so these guys will need to string together some serious wins if they want to move up in the ranks. One of these guys will have that chance to get something started tonight. Sergei seems to be a little outmatched in this fight, and he should be looking to try and point out Liubomir if he wants the win. Liubomir has the advantage in the stand up, while these two are virtually identical in wrestling so he will want to be aggressive. I think Liubomir wins this fight by knockout in the third round.

Preliminary Bout Number 2- Featherweight Fight (145lbs)

Tim "Phar Lap" Farland (1-2) {0-2} versus Nick Renne (1-1) {1-1}

Farland is a boxer and a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, so rather it’s on the feet or on the ground Tim knows what to do. He should look to box with Renne since he will outclass him in the striking department, and even with the BJJ training he will want to avoid the ground. Nick Renne is a wrestler who likes t ground and pound. He loves to transition to better positions, and if he scores the takedown he will need to do that. Renne should not spend any of his time in Farland’s guard. I would normally pick Farland in this fight, but Renne is coming off the big loss against Lange and I think he will want to rebound from that quickly.

Preliminary Bout Number 3- Featherweight Fight (145lbs)

Ronaldo Hispanyola (6-3) {1-1} versus "Super" Smash Brother (2-0) {1-0}

Hispanyola needs to get this fight to the ground as it will be his only chance. The brown belt looked strong in his last fight but it had been a while since he looked good. He wants to build on that success and get a big submission victory. Brother has a ton of power that he can unleash at a moment’s notice. He is a boxer with plenty of power and he can ground and pound or stand up. I don’t think he wants to go to the ground in this one, but he may not have to. If he can end it early with a big knockout I see him getting better ranked fighter in his next one. I am picking Brother to win by knockout in the first two minutes of the fight.

Preliminary Bout Number 4- Featherweight Fight (145lbs)

Enrico Ciccone (3-0) {0-0} versus Artair Dostan (7-6-1) {0-2}

Enrico is looking to make a big statement in the WFL. He is a great wrestler and a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. The twenty five year old has had three fights and he was dominate in all of them. He will look to out wrestle Dostan in this bout. Artair has hit a rough patch in his career with only one win in his last six fights. When he came to WFL I thought to myself this guy is going to turn around his career right before our eyes. I have not seen that yet, so I will be picking Ciccone to win this fight by submission in the first round.

Preliminary Bout Number 5- Heavyweight Fight (265lbs)

Brutus Satanae (1-1) {0-0} versus Syltas Pojk (3-1) {0-0}

In our only Heavyweight fight of the evening both fighters will be making their debut. Satanae is a striker that prefers to work through the clinch. When he was able to gain the clinch he has been very overpowering. In his last fight Skip Swanson took the clinch away from Satanae and we seen what happened as Brutus lost by decision. Pojk is on a three fight winning streak and he has done that by staying at range. If he can keep separation between Satanae and himself he should dominate this fight. One thing is for sure though one of these two is going to get knocked out. My guess is Satanae gets knocked out and Pojk continues his winning streak.

Main Card Bout Number 1- Light Heavyweight Fight (205lbs)

Oskar Wysocki (4-0) {3-0} versus Executive "Screen" Screening (2-0) {1-0}

This is an interesting matchup as Wysocki could end up number one contender if he wins and a few other things go right for him on this card. Oskar is a well-rounded fighter whose strength is in the ground game but he can stand up and fight as well. He will want to go with the stand up in this matchup as I feel he will be able to control the fight. Screening is a wrestler but I don’t think he will want to take Oskar down. Oskar is a better Jiu Jitsu fighter and he should be able to submit Screening from anywhere. This is a very tough fight for Screening I am not sure what he will want to do as far as a game plan in this one. I am going to pick Wysocki to win this fight by knockout in the second round.

Main Card Bout Number 2- Light Heavyweight Fight (205lbs)

Don Schmidt (4-1) {2-1} versus Karol Janosik (3-0) {0-0}

Schmidt is back in action after losing the title fight against Haarmann. Don has a ton of power and laid every opponent out in less than one minute until tasting defeat for his first time. We will see how he responds in this fight, as he will be taking on a big name in Janosilk. If Karol wins and Wysocki losses it could mean a title shot so he is going to want to be on top of his game in this one. Both of these guys are boxers who like to end the fight nice and early, so the question will be who lands the knockout blow first. I will not pick a winner in this one since Don Schmidt is my fighter, but I will pick a knockout in the first round for this fight.

Main Card Bout Number 3- Featherweight Fight (145lbs)

Artie Lange (13-12) {1-1} versus Darren "The Axeman" McGlynn (3-1) {1-1}

Lange is a craft veteran who will want to take McGlynn out of his game. He will be looking for a takedown and then he will want to maintain dominate position to point out a win decision victory over the young buck McGlynn. The Axeman was a knockout specialist until he stepped up the competition level. Since then he has been one and one with both fights going the distance. Obviously the striker will not want to be taken down, and if he can stay up on his feet he will knock out Lange. I think Lange will get a takedown or two, but in the end I see McGlynn getting the knockout late in the second round.

Co Main Event, Main Card Bout Number 4- Welterweight Title Fight (170lbs)http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20131222000642Belt2blank.jpg

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/24/24w13.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/18/18b7.jpg

Miguel "The Unstoppable" Augusto (7-3) {2-0} versus Shinya Stanley (4-1) {2-0}

I was surprised to see Stanley get the title shot over Bishop but sometimes that’s the way things go. Augusto was five and three until he got to the WFL and then he revived his career. He has won both of his WFL fights by submission while taking home Of The Night awards in both occasions. Stanley is also two and zero since arriving on the scene in the WFL. Both of Stanley’s fights ended in the first round by TKO. This promises to be an interesting fight as Augusto is a ground fighter and Stanley is a striker. If Augusto gets the fight to the ground he will win by submission quickly but if he fails on a takedown or two Stanley will knock him out. I am going to pick Augusto to win by submission in the first round.

Main Event, Main Card Bout Number 5- Light Heavyweight Fight (205lbs)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/28/28w11.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/4/4b7.jpg

Fritz "The Butcher Of Hanover" Haarmann (7-0) {2-0} versus Kevin "Grinder" Stevens (4-0) {3-0}

I hope there is some sort of graphical error since this seems like it will not be for the title but it is a five round fight. Haarmann has been nothing short but amazing winning all seven of his fights by way of submission. The brown belt Brazilian Jiu Jitsu fighter will want to get this fight down to the ground quickly much like he did against Schmidt. Stevens is a great striker who is carrying around an undefeated record. Stevens is most comfortable with ground and pound, which will work to Haarmann’s advantage, so he is going to want to stay away from it. Stevens can strike at range and he also has a deadly clinch so I think he will want to keep his distance and try to hurt Haarmann as much as possible, and then clinch after each stuffed takedown to put on more pressure. I think Haarmann will win this fight by submission but I think it is going at least three rounds if not four.

1. Andrzej Rostowski (13-15) {2-1}

Andrzej Rostowski rebounded from his title loss to Aunor thoroughly, defeating Tormund Giantsbane by decision. Rostowski will now get another crack at Aunor and that WFL title he so desperately desires

Poopha has been impressive to say the least, quickly picking up two stoppages. A win over Octavio Ramos will earn Poopha a title shot

3. Benny Hill (16-15) {1-1}

Benny Hill had a rough go in his fight against Aunor, but will look to rebound from his disappointing loss against fellow submission fighter Reinaldo Aruba

Risto Haeyhae continues his search for a WFL title, as he drops to 155 lbs for his fight with Holy Diver, one that will earn him a title shot with a victory.

Rua was dominant in his WFL debut, controlling Wan Bemming in the clinch en route to a TKO victory.

Turniejowy enters the WFL with a lot of steam, and will look to parlay his momentum into a victory over Photirat

The newly signed Jackson will look to prove his highly touted submission prowess against tough wrestler Bobby Deckard

4. Bobby Deckard (5-1) {2-1)

Deckard bounced back from his first ever loss with an impressive submission victory. Deckard will look to continue his momentum against Thunder Jackson

205 lb (Light heavyweight)

Champion: Fritz Haarmann (8-0) {3-0} http://mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20131222000642Belt2blank.jpg

It was just another day at the office for the WFL's most dominant champion, submitting hard-charging challenger Kevin Stevens in just over 30 seconds. Haarmann will defend his title vs Oskar Wysocki, possibly his toughest challenger yet.

1. Oskar Wysocki (5-0) {4-0}

Wysocki may not have been as impressive in his fight vs Screening as in fights before, but the #1 contender pulled off a slick armbar in the second round. Wysocki will look to lock up the WFL title against Jiu-Jitsu prodigy Haarmann

2. Don Schmidt (5-1) {3-1}

It was quite a bounce-back performance for KO artist Don Schmidt at WFL 8, as he knocked out Karol Janosik with an incredible spinning backfist in the first round. Schmidt will look for another crack at the WFL title, provided he gets past Bob Probert.

3. Kevin Stevens (4-1) {3-1}

A disappointing loss for Stevens, but "the Grinder" will go back to the drawing board and look to come back stronger than ever

4. David Thompson (3-0) {2-0}

The young Thompson has been incredibly impressive in his WFL career thus far, and will look to continue his dominance against grappler Adonis Stevenson

5. Bob Probert (2-0) {1-0}

Vickers had a disappointing end in his title fight, but came back better than ever, knocking out Greg Joll in under 30 seconds

3. Kakashi Hatake (13-12) {0-1}

Hatake's debut in the WFL did not go as planned, but will look to rebound quickly

4. Shawn Albright (2-1) {2-1}

Albright was three seconds away from winning his WFL debut, but has been dominant since, going 2-0 with 1 finish

5. Brutus Satanae (2-1) {1-0}

I am happy, sad, excited, and mad all at the same time. Do you guys want to know why? Well I don’t care if you do or don’t I am going to explain. First thing I am happy because my boy Don Schmidt laid someone else out, and returned to his dominate form. I am sad because I think Don is becoming a gate keeper. From the looks of it he might be the WFL version of Jon Fitch. He was dominated by Haarmann and I don’t know if he can beat him, but it seems nobody else in the division stands a chance against Schmidt. I am excited because Mike Town and Bob Henderson are fighting tonight and they are managed by my longtime friend Jonny Showtime, who brought me into this business. Now on to why I am mad, flat out I am seeing no activity on the Smack Talk Thread. Get over there and read these reviews in style instead of a little piece of main. Let us know what you think of the results, previews, future fights, call someone out, talk a little trash, give someone an ata boy, or do an interview. Every time you post in the forums you get two spin and win credits, for every ten credits you get a spin and you can win a lot of great stuff. I have won lotto tickets that netted me sixty bucks, I have won cask just under nine thousand, IQ tests, and best of all thirteen days of VIP. Turn this org into a community and receive prizes just for doing it. Few, now that I have gotten that off my chest let’s look at these fights.

Preliminary Bout Number 1- Light Heavyweight Fight (205lbs)

Jon "Iron Will" Waldteufel (1-3) {0-3} versus Shen "The God Of War" Woo (0-2) {0-1}

These two have a combined WFL record of zero and four and Waldteufel has three of those loses. Jon not only has three loses but he was finished in all three of them. Waldteufel is a ground and pounder and if he wants to win this fight he will need to take Woo off his feet. Woo is a boxer and he needs to stay flat footed to generate his power. Woo tried way to many take downs in his last two fights for my taste and he should not go to the ground with Waldtefel. I think Woo will win this fight by TKO and I think it will happen in the second round.

Preliminary Bout Number 2- Light Heavyweight Fight (205lbs)

Heikki "The Helsinki Hitman" Hirvonen (4-3) {0-0} versus Sergei "Perec" Garkov (4-7) {0-1}

Hirvonen has everything to lose and absolutely nothing to gain in this fight. Even though he is making his WFL debut he is a much higher rated fighter than Garkov. When you are rated and ranked higher a win does not do much for you, while a loss really hurts you so The Helsinki Hitman needs to be prepared. I don’t know how he prepares for this battle though as Garkov has better stand up and a more developed ground game. Sergei also has the age and the experience advantage in this fight. I see this fight going to the judges and my money would be on Garkov to win 30-27.

Preliminary Bout Number 3- Light Heavyweight Fight (205lbs)

Fernando "The Flash" Martinez (4-3) {0-1} versus Bob Henderson (1-1) {1-1}

Martinez is a wrestler and a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. After seeing Henderson get submitted in his first fight you know Martinez will be going hard for a takedown. If he can get the takedown he will submit Henderson with ease. Henderson is a boxer who lands nice accurate punches and combinations. We have seen him go for takedowns but I am pretty sure that is just a way to score points, because we have not seen him do anything on the ground except tap out. Henderson will want to avoid going to the ground at all costs. I don’t think Henderson will keep this fight standing and I hate it but I have to pick against my friends fighter. I am going with Martinez to win by submission in the second round.

Preliminary Bout Number 4- Light Heavyweight Fight (205lbs)

David "El Toro" Thompson (3-0) {2-0} versus Adonis "Superman" Stevenson (3-2) {1-2}

Thompson keeps winning and moving up the ranks. A win in this fight and it could set him up with a top five fighter and get him a little closer to a title fight. He knocked out his first two opponents but his last fight went the distance. He proved that he has the conditioning to go into the deep rounds but now he is going to need to prove his submission defense. Stevenson got off to a great start in his career but taking the step up in completion did not seem to be the right course of action for the purple belt. He did get his first WFL win in his last fight and he will want to continue that. If he can get the fight to the ground he will have a real shot of winning. I don’t think that will be the case as I have Thompson picked to win by TKO in the second round.

Main Card Bout Number 1- Welterweight Fight (170lbs)

Mike "Down" Town (1-1) {1-1} versus Joshua "Savage" Swanson (4-3) {2-1}

These two are at the bottom of the division here in the WFL. If Town losses he can recover as this is only his third fight. If Swanson takes a loss he will end up at four and four and wins over fighters who no longer have a job. A loss for Swanson could derail his career one maybe two years. Both of these fighters are brown belts in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Town is a much better wrestler while Swanson has a little but to offer in the striking department. If the fight stays standing for a while I think Savage wins with a knockout, but on the ground I got Town by decision. Since Swanson loves the ground game and Town is such a good wrestler I have to go with Town winning by decision 30-27.

Main Card Bout Number 2- Lightweight Fight (155lbs)

Holy Diver (9-13) {1-0} versus Risto Haeyhae (2-1) {1-1}

Diver came to WFL to get his career back on track and so far so good. He defeated Yodthanong Photirat back at WFL 6 when Yodthanong Photirat tapped out do to strikes. Diver is more of a ground fighter but he can stand up and strike when he has to. Haeyhae is also a ground fighter but he is nowhere as refined as Diver. Risto also has no striking so basically this fight will be a one sided affair. I see no chance of Risto being able to pull off a victory but my prediction is this fight will not happen. I heard Diver has been on weight gain and he will not make weight. Now that is a rumor I heard so if it is not true I got Diver winning by submission in the first round.

Main Card Bout Number 3- Heavyweight Fight (265lbs)

Kakashi "Gaiden" Hatake (13-12) {0-1} versus Valera "The Soldier" Kamenskiy (7-15) {0-0}

Hatake really needs this win. He is the number four heavyweight in the WFL and a win could put him next in line for a title shot. Hatake focused on getting Rogers to the ground in his WFL debut, but Rogers denied him and then knocked him out. If Rogers wins Hatake could be two wins away from the title shot, but if Kamala Naamahaara retains I think this win gives Hatake the shot. Valera came to WFL to get his career straitened back out. He has lost seven of his last eight fights and if he keeps losing the thirty two year old may be looking at retirement. I don’t know what kind of game plan he will have coming into this fight because Hatake is better than him in every aspect. I think Hatake wins by TKO in the first round.

Co Main Event Main Card Bout Number 4- Welterweight Fight (170lbs)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/40/40b4.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/20/20w19.jpg

"The Triangler" Thunder Jackson (16-7-1) {0-0-0} versus Bobby Deckard (5-1) {2-1}

Jackson got off to an amazing start to his career. He started off eleven and two before things went downhill. He then went two five and one over the next eight fights. The Triangler made a nice turn around as he has won three straight fights. He is currently third in the division and the winner of this fight should be looking at the next title shot at welterweight. Deckard is five and one with four wins by submission. A wrestler by trade but he has been working on his Jiu Jitsu and it really shows in his record. Jackson is a better striker and much better at Jiu Jitsu so he will want to keep this fight standing, but he should be alright if it goes to the ground. Deckard is the far superior wrestler and if he can get the fight to the ground he will want to improve to side control and not move. He will need to work just enough to not get the stand up. I think Jackson will win this by decision and I will give him all three rounds 30-27.

Main Event Main Card Bout Number 5- Heavyweight Title Fight (265lbs)http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20131222000642Belt2blank.jpg

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/37/37b26.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/2/2b1.jpg

"Apu" Kamala Naamahaara (11-5) {2-0} versus "Iron Fist" Jason Rogers (11-10) {1-0}

When I look at the break down of this fight there is one stat that just jumps right off the page. Apu was eleven wins all by TKO and Rogers has ten losses all by TKO. A rock solid kick against a glass jaw seams really bad for somebody. Rogers is a well-rounded fighter but I think Apu is better than him at almost all aspects of the fight. If Rogers wants to get a win his best bet and I can’t believe I am saying this but it is to clinch and stall. Hope Apu gets angry and takes the fight to the ground where he can try to submit from the bottom. I think Naamahaara will get the knockout win in this one, and I would bet its by head kick in the first round.

That will wrap up this event, please be sure to stop by the Smack Talk Thread and read it in style. I will see you all Tomorrow at the fight, thanks for reading.

INTERVIEW WITH “IRON FIST” JASON ROGERS:

Interviewer: Jason, you had an amazing fight Saturday night against Kamala Naamahaara for the WFL Heavyweight Title, and fell short due to a cut on your face. How do you feel following your performance?

Rogers: Well obviously a loss is disappointing, especially a title shot…but we put on a hell of a show for the fans, and that has always been my ultimate goal in MMA, to be a “fan friendly” fighter. Looking back I could have upped my aggression a little bit once I had him hurt, and I probably would have finished him in the third round. In the end man….it is what it is; I’ve got mad respect for the champion.

Interviewer: Let’s talk about that cut, because you got cut very early in the fight, which ultimately led the ref to stop the fight right at the end of the fourth round.

Rogers: Yeah look man, I’ve been through wars in this sport….I’m 32 years old and have been around for awhile. Unfortunately I got split open some early on and developed this scar tissue that cuts easily when hit. If you look at my TKO losses, I’ve only really been knocked out a couple of times….the rest have been ref stops.

Interviewer: Do you feel you would have won the fight without the cut?

Rogers: Who knows man….I know two things: he was up on the score cards but I had him badly hurt with a cut of his own.

Interviewer: You’ve had a long, entertaining career, where do you go from here?

Rogers: I’m gonna rest up, then get my ass back in the gym and get ready for the next fight. I don’t stress too much about this shit man….when I got the call to join the WFL, I was in semi-retirement working at my manager’s gym in St. Pete as a boxing sparring partner, helping the new kids develop their standup game. I know I’m not a top-ten guy and I’m never gonna be at my age, but when you put me in the cage….I’ve got one thing in mind, throwing leather at your face. People underestimate me because of my record, but I’ve put a lot of dudes’ lights out early in the first round throughout my career…and I don’t intend to change my style.

Interviewer: Would you want a rematch?

Rogers: Of course! After I get another win or two, I’d love to have another crack at the champ! But for now, the WFL can line then up and I will knock them down!

1. Oskar Wysocki (5-0) {4-0}

Interview with David "El Toro" Thompson:

Interviewer: Hello David. Nice to meet you on such a beautiful day in Helsinki. Now you recover strength after Saturday's fight with Stevenson?

Thompson: Yes, it was a tough fight for me. I have found that I still have many flaws and I have to work on many things. I have to train, so long rest is not an option for me.

Interviewer: Are you satisfied with your preparation and conduct of a clash with the "Superman"? What do you think of him as an MMA competitor?

Thompson: As I said a moment ago, this fight showed that I still have many things to learn and I can not afford to be passive and proud because of that I have not tasted defeat. My future opponents are not going to give up so easily. I have to train harder, harder and harder even more from them. This is the only way I can achieve success and build not only my skills and technique, but also the character and personality. I respect Adonis and I hope that despite the loss he does not fell into apathy, on the contrary - he will try to be better and better as each one of us.

Interviewer: In the second round, you've come to Stevenson with a combination of two rapid blows, but then you were not able to finish him off. Is this actually is one of the reason of which you are not happy with yourself? It was evident, too, that in the first round Adonis scored effectively bringing the fight to the ground with you.

Thompson: I confess to you frankly that I fight in order to win. I do not focus on how it will be acquired. As to the second, however, you're right. Experts, but also I can not deny it here. * laughs. *

Interviewer: It's surprising that someone as young as you David does not show the youthful aggression and urgency. You always try to remain calm. Do you not feel hunger, to have the belt in the light heavyweight category?

Thompson: I will fight for the belt then when my manager Jason decides that I am ready. Then I will be able to beat anyone. I believe in his wisdom and good decisions. At the moment, he gives me time to develop my talents. You're only eighteen. - he explains to me. Go slowly up the ladder to the top. Your legend will come after years of hard work.

Interviewer: You'll be watching the WFL 10? What do you think about the coming fights? You predict the specific winners and losers?

Thompson: Of course, I'll be watching it but typing and evaluation I leave to specialists.

Interviewer: Thank you for the interview. I wish you luck and success in your MMA career. See you.

Thompson: Goodbye.

Interview With Terry Aunor

Interviewer: Terry, you have arguably the biggest fight of your career coming up as you face Andrzej Rostowski for a second time, how are you feeling as the fight approaches?

Aunor: I'm feeling very confident heading into the fight... Andrzej is a great fighter but I have beat him once and I can and will beat him again.

Interviewer: You struggled in the first two rounds in the first fight... What do you plan to do differently to make sure that doesn't happen?

Aunor: Rostowski is a great grappler and I had trouble defending his takedowns in the first two rounds, but I was able to weather the storm and defend his takedowns effectively for the next three rounds, something I plan on doing the whole fight this time around.

Interviewer: Have you enjoyed your time in the WFL so far?

Aunor: Absolutely, Josh James is a fantastic owner and matchmaker and I look forward to continue fighting here.

Interviewer: If you are able to get passed Rostowski, who do you think is next?

Aunor: Well right now I'm completely focused on Andrzej Rostowski, but Anucha Poopha and Octavio Ramos both look like tough challengers.

Interviewer: That'll be all Terry, best of luck Wednesday and thank you for the interview.

Aunor: My pleasure

WFL-10 promises to be a great one, as we will feature a huge rematch. This will be no ordinary rematch as it will be once again for the WFL Featherweight Championship. We have surrounded this big rematch with some of your favorites from WFL as well as some promising new comers. Live from The Underground in Helsinki we present WFL-10 Aunor vs Rostowski II.

Preliminary Bout Number 1- Lightweight Fight (155lbs)

"The warmaster" Wan Benming (1-1) {0-1} versus Mahamud "The Shadow Killer" Najib Osman (2-5) {0-0}

Benming lost his WFL debut and he is looking to make a big comeback in this fight. He is a Muay Thai striker who can pulverize his opponent with devastating kicks and punches. To my surprise his lone win came by submission but I do not think he will make a habit of it. Osman will be making his debut and he is kind of a jack of all trades fighter. He has done a great job spreading out his training to become a well-rounded fighter. Osman is seven years younger than his opponent and he will be giving up a few pounds in this fight as well so it will be an uphill battle for him. My prediction on this fight will be Wan Benming getting his first WFL win by TKO late in the second round.

Preliminary Bout Number 2- Welterweight Fight (170lbs)

Rafael Gomez (1-0) {0-0} versus Joshua "Savage" Swanson (4-4) {2-2}

Gomez has only had one fight in his short career and he was able to pick up a decision win. I don’t think that will be possible in this next fight has his opponent has had eight fights with only one of them reaching the third round and none of them going the distance. Gomez is a powerful fighter who is willing to mix it up anywhere in the cage, but I think his strong point is in the clinch. He has shown that he can work the body and that is something that usually comes with age. Swanson has been on a downfall as of late losing two strait. He showed up in the WFL with a two and two record and he quickly improved to four and two. Now he is back to five hundred and he wants to be on the winning side again. He will need to get the takedown and submission in this fight because Gomez will win anywhere else. I think Savage will pick up this win once it goes to the ground. I have him winning by submission in the second round.

Preliminary Fight Number 3- Light Heavyweight Fight (205lbs)

Marcelo Aurelio (2-2) {1-2} versus Marcin "Gora" Waligora (1-0) {0-0}

Aurelio has been having a tough time since joining the WFL losing two of his three fights here. It should be somewhat reassuring that his loses have come to title contenders. The brown belt will be looking to get this fight to the ground so he can tie up Waligora with some sort of lock or hold, but that will be no easy task. Marcin is a wrestler and boxer and he should use his superior wrestling skills to keep this fight standing. If Marcelo can get the fight to the ground he will certainly win, but I think Waligora will stuff the takedowns and win by TKO in the first round.

Preliminary Bout Number 4- Lightweight Fight (155lb)

"Yod" Yodthanong Photirat (5-15) {0-1} versus Bokser Turniejowy (4-2) {0-0}

The MMA world has not been kind to Photirat at all with twenty fights under his belt he has only been able to win five of them. The twenty seven year old veteran is a skilled striker with training in both boxing and Muay Thai. All five of his wins have come by TKO or knockout so he does have a good stand up game. Bokser is also a standup fighter being highly decorated in boxing. It would seem as he does not have finishing power as all four of his wins have come by decision. These two warriors should be happy to stand in the middle of the cage and duke it out. I foresee Bosker winning if not by TKO due to his lackluster knockout power then by decision.

Main Card Bout Number 1- Heavyweight Fight (265lbs)

Greg "Rubishman" Joll (3-2) {1-2} versus Rsghrhr "Fdjfj" Hrjrgjsjs (3-0) {0-0}

Joll has run into some bad luck as of late dropping his last two fights. One was by decision and the other was a TKO loss. He luck just might turn around in this one even though his opponent is undefeated. Joll is a submission artist as he has a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Two of his three wins have come by submission and he look for a third win by tap out in this one. Rsghrhr is a wrestler who is looking to make his debut in WFL. You normally don’t think of a wrestler as being much of a finisher but two of Rsghrhr’s wins have come by submission. I don’t think he will be able to submit a purple belt and if the fight stays standing Joll should also dominate. I am going to pick Joll to win by submission in the second round.

Main Card Bout Number 2- Featherweight Fight (145lbs)

Tormund Giantsbane (13-7) {0-1} versus Mr Rouge (0-1) {0-1}

The world was Giantsbane’s oyster and then everything came to a screeching halt. He has lost his last three fights including his debut in Warrior Fight League. Clearly he will be looking to make some major improvements and get back to winning ways. He has a strong boxing game and when that fails he can go to the ground but he is by no means a typical grappler. Out of his thirteen wins he has ten wins by knockout and the other three have come by decision. Rouge has only had one fight in his career but do not count out this twenty seven year old just because of experience. He has been training for a long time, and he is looking to prove what he knows. He was knocked out late in the fight against Ramos but he was clearly winning the fight on the judges’ score cards. I think the only thing Rouge is missing is a little aggression. I believe that Rouge will come out a little more aggressive in this fight and win by submission in the second round.

Main Card Bout Number 3- Middleweight Fight (185lbs)

"Vegas" Las Mambo (9-1) {0-0} versus Martin "The Mauler" Parlo (0-0) {0-0}

This is a massively important fight to Warrior Fight League. This will be the first ever fight for the WFL contested at middleweight. Once the WFL signed Mambo they knew it was time to open up the division and get the former GAMMA prospect some fights. Mambo is currently nine and one with seven wins by submission. Clearly he likes to show off his purple belt and he will be looking to win by submission again. Parlo has the daunting task of making his fighting debut against a seasoned veteran. I think Mambo is a better striker but standing up and banging is Parlo’s only chance of winning this fight. I think Mambo will make short work of Parlo and he will submit him in the first round.

Co Main Event Main Card Bout Number 4- Featherweight Fight (145lbs)

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/31/31b12.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/18/18b15.jpg

Benny "The Slim" Hill (16-15) {1-1} versus Reinaldo "Animal" Aruba (6-2) {1-1}

Hill took on the champ in a losing effort in his last fight. He certainly wants to string together as many wins as possible to so he can get back to the promise land. Hill is more of a wrestler than anything else but he can finish a fight. No laying and praying for this guy as he is looking to knock out all of his opponents. He has won nine of his sixteen fights by TKO but he also knows a thing or two about submissions finishing four opponents by tap out. Aruba is also looking towards a future title shot and a win over the experienced Hill might just be what the doctor ordered. He is a former champion and he knows what is needed to win. If Hill wants to stand with him then he will need to find a way to get the fight to the ground but if Hill takes the fight to the mat Aruba will have a big advantage as he is a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Half of Aruba’s wins have come by submission with the other half coming by decision. This is a hard fight to predict but I am going to go with Aruba to win by submission in the third round.

Main Event Main Card Bout Number 5- Featherweight Title Fight (145lbs)http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20131222000642Belt2blank.jpg

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/26/26b12.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/1/1w17.jpg

Terry Aunor (15-4) {3-0} versus Andrzej "Litwin" Rostowski (13-15) {2-1}

Aunor is three and zero in the WFL and out of his three wins one includes a close decision victory over Andrzej "Litwin" Rostowski. The current WFL Featherweight Champion will be looking to score his second win over Rostowski but he will need to show us a little more than he did last time. Aunor is a well-rounded fighter who can stand and strike and he is great on the ground. Over half of his wins have come by decision so you know he knows how to fight for points. Rostowski is looking to avenge his loss and take home the prized Featherweight Title thus killing two birds with one stone. He had a great strategy in the last fight but he was too aggressive and he was tired by the time round three started. If he can have a very similar fight but tone down the aggression he could easily win by decision or possibly a submission. Since Aunor has already won a fight between these two I will pick him to win and I think it will be a decision again.

Nine exciting fights including a title fight, what more could you ask for. If you agree or disagree with any of this or just want to leave a message or call someone out please stop by or Smack Talk Thread located on the forums. This has been Tony Rossi with another WFL preview.

Warrior Fight League is proud to present WFL- 11 Haarmann versus Wysocki. This event is live from The Underground in Helsinki. We will feature not only the title fight at the Light Heavyweight division, but the entire event is littered with top five fighters from their respected weight classes. There are several big time fights on this event and lucky for you I am going to break down each and every one of them.

Preliminary Bout Number 1- Welterweight Fight (170lbs)

Alexander "The Chessboard Killer" Pichushkin (2-1) {0-0} versus Piotr "Staruch" Staruchowicz (0-1) {0-0}

We will open the show with two fighters making their debut to Warrior Fight League. Alexander is an eighteen year old boxer who showed off his striking abilities in his last two fights, winning both of them by TKO in the first round. He is going to want to keep his distance but be prepared for head kicks in this next match up. A few combination and good defense should have his opponent reeling. Piotr is a twenty five year old Muay Thai fighter who lost his debut fight. He was taken to the ground out of the clinch against a submission artist is what ended the fight. He should not need to worry about a takedown in this one, but he will need to get the clinch quickly. This should be an interesting fight and I have Alexander winning the fight by TKO in the first round, but he will need to avoid the clinch to get the win.

Preliminary Bout Number 2- Featherweight Fight (145lbs)

Derek "Doom" Gordon (3-1) {0-0} versus Tim "Phar Lap" Farland (1-3) {0-3}

Gordon is an expert at finishing people with submissions. In his four fights he has three wins and they are all by submission. Gordon is being somewhat eased into the WFL with this fight, since his opponent has yet to win in the WFL. Gordon may struggle to get the submission since both of these guys are purple belts in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu but Gordon is the much better wrestler. Farland does not have wrestling to back his BJJ and that could be the reason he is on a downward spiral. Tim does have some boxing behind him though and if he can keep the fight standing he should have a very nice advantage over Gordon. I don’t think he can or will keep it standing I am going to predict Gordon to win via submission in the second round.

Main Card Bout Number 1- Featherweight Fight (145lbs)

Nick Renne (2-1) {2-1} versus Sid "Mini Dragon" Going (3-0) {1-0}

Renne is a wrestler and he loves to ground and pound, but since his opponent has won two out of three fights by submission the question becomes should he still look for that? The answer is yes, Renne is a dominate wrestler and he also has some Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training as he is a blue belt in the art. He should have enough knowledge to not get submitted while he is holding the dominate position so ground and pound is the way to go. Going may know how to submit his opponents but I don’t think he has ever faced a grappler like Renne. Going does have better striking so his best option just might be to stall on the ground and win the points on his feet. If he can force stand up every time Renne gets him to the ground, and he can do some damage while standing he should be able to win this fight on points. I think Renne will get Going into a bad position and finish with strikes from the ground. My best guess at the round is the third as Renne has shown he has no desire to end the fight immediately.

Main Card Bout Number 2- Welterweight Fight (170lbs)

Marr Sepio (3-1) {0-0} versus Joshua "Savage" Swanson (4-5) {2-3}

Sepio will be making his Warrior Fight League debut against the fading Joshua Swanson. Sepio who lost in his last fight is ready to make a rebound and he might just have the perfect opponent. Sepio has enough ground experience to avoid submissions, gain sweeps, and even force stand ups but his specialty is Muay Thai. He is not the typical clinch and knee type of Muay Thai striker as he loves to kick. He will change levels with his kicks, and mix in some punches to keep his opponents off balance. Swanson has dropped his last three fights and honestly I just think the kid needs a break. He has been fighting a lot lately as well as training hard and I think it has taken a toll on him mentally. Win, lose, or draw I think Swanson needs to take a vacation, get some new cloths, and then get back to training. I don’t think Swanson has enough confidence in his own abilities right now to win, and that’s why I am picking Marr Sepio to win in the first round by head kick knock out.

Main Card Bout Number 3- Heavyweight Fight (265lbs)

Kakashi "Gaiden" Hatake (13-12) {0-1} versus Brutus Satanae (2-1) {1-0}

Hatake lost his debut in WFL and then took another fight right away. He wanted to prove that his loss was a fluke and what better way than to have a short turn around and win a fight. Unfortunately his opponent no showed the event and the fight could not go on as scheduled which was a disappointment to all. To prove to the world that he still has it Hatake is going to need to take this fight to the ground. He should look to exploit Satanae’s weaknesses and working from the mat is his biggest one. Brutus will have a slight advantage on his feet but not nearly as much as he is giving up on the ground. Obviously he will want to keep the fight standing and if he can he should roll to his third win. He is well trained in striking and he could pick a part most of the heavyweight division. Since Satanae likes to clinch and throw inaccurate knees I have to pick Hatakae to win this fight. He should be able to get a takedown or sweep from the clinch and go to work on a submission. I will pick Hatake to get a submission win in the third and final round.

Co Main Event Main Card Bout Number 4- Light Heavyweight Fight (205lbs)

Don Schmidt (5-1) {3-1} versus Bob "Probie" Probert (2-0) {1-0}

There is no way this fight could possibly leave the first round. Both of these guys are knockout artist who do not like to be in the cage for very long. Not only are both fighters knockout specialist they both come from small private gyms in Helsinki. Probert has some advantages and they are going to come in the fact he is taller and has a heavier natural weight. He might possess a little bit more knockout power and he should have an easier time landing because of that. Schmidt will have the advantage of age and experience on his side and those two things cannot be underestimated. Don has had the big fight and with him being seven years older he should be trained up a little more. I am bias since Don Schmidt is my fighter but I am going to say this will be the most exciting fight on the card. I will not pick a winner in this do to my ties with Schmidt but I will predict someone will win by knockout in the first round.

Main Event Main Card Bout Number 5- Light Heavyweight Title Fight (205lbs)http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20131222000642Belt2blank.jpg

Fritz "The Butcher Of Hanover" Haarmann (8-0) {3-0} versus Oskar Wysocki (5-0) {4-0}

Two undefeated fighters putting it all on the line for the WFL Light Heavyweight Championship as Fritz Haarmann looks to defend against Oskar Wysocki. Haarmaan is not just a champion he is the desimater of the light heavyweight division. He has three wins in the WFL and all three of them have come against undefeated opponents. If that is not impressive enough for you out of all eight of his fights he has finished eight of them all by submission. Haarmann means business and The Butcher of Hanover is just waiting for his next victim. Wysocki should be Haarmann’s toughest opponent to date as he is a better wrestler and can almost match his Jiu Jitsu skills. If Haarmann can get the fight to the ground Wysocki will give him a run for his money. In the striking department Wysocki is slightly better so he has another advantage. One of my fighters have been in the cage with Haarmann and I have seen his grappling skills up close and personal and that is the only reason I am picking him to win. I got Haarmann winning by submission in the third round.

I told you all this was an action packed amazing event. The four fighters in our Co and Main events have a combined record of twenty wins and one loss. Out of the twenty wins nineteen of them have been finishes. Just for the WFL only these guys combined for eleven wins and one loss with ten finishes. I cannot wait to see this thing go down Wednesday night in Helsinki. I will be there and I hope to see each and every one of you there.

Reporter: What happened out there Don, you didnt seem to be yourself?

Don: Seriously guys did you see how fast he was? It was like trying to box a race horse! I just need to know was he wearing a cup, or was that a flux compasitor?

Reporter: You seem to be in a good mood after a big loss, whats going on in there?

Don: Well you win some and you lose some, what more can I say he was too fast for me. I couldn't land anything out there. I do feel like I proved a few things out there, one I got one hell of a chin because he landed some serious shots, I got great power, and I have heart. I rest up and get back to training so next time I can be faster and stronger.

Reporter: So who is next for Don Schmidt?

Don: That's up to the WFL, I am willing to fight anyone, anywhere, anytime.

Reporter: Thanks Don!

Don: Thank you.
