That's one minute gone in the round.
Killmaz's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Killmaz takes a knee right on the jaw!
Themistokles lands a body shot.
Themistokles lands a hook that snaps the head of Killmaz backwards.
A short right from Themistokles on the inside.
Themistokles pushes Killmaz against the cage. Themistokles is working some dirty boxing. Themistokles pushes off with a quick right hook! Killmaz goes down! Killmaz tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Themistokles moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Strategos Themistokles!
Strategos Themistokles seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
The defeated Merkan Killmaz had this to say: 'It is my judgement that Themistocles was "a man who exhibited the most indubitable signs of genius; indeed, in this particular he has a claim on our admiration quite extraordinary and unparalleled".'.

Soon I go to war with the highest ranked fighter in the organization and my toughest challenge to date. I will send Stu Grimshit a personal message and warning. You better finish me boy, because if you don't finish me early I will make you suffer, punch by punch, kick by kick, elbow by elbow, minute by minute, round by round until you give up or I win by decision in a dominant fashion.

This will be a far, of many little battles and I expect to have my chin tested and I expect to be put in a bad position, but my success will not be rated on how easy the fight is. My success will be rated by how much adversity I fight through.

Stu Grimson. Prepare for the most grueling 25 minutes of your life boy. I am about to bring an intensity you have never seen before.

" Merkan is a true warrior, people think it was easy to beat him but it wasn't : we have spend a lot of time studying him beacuse we knew he would be my most difficult challenge and we came up with a gameplan. Fortunately, I was succesful. Killlmaz had a lot to loose in this fight as he was already a NEX Hilo Veteran and I was nobody. Hopefully that win against him puts me on the map as the hottest prospect here : I'm still just 18. You have seen nothing yet."

I'm not to happy with how my debut went. I always want to finish the fight and I wasn't capable of doing so. I hadn't warmed up good enough and was cut by his first punch of the fight. The cut bothered me a bit as I had seen many fights being stopped for it in the last few fights. I never really got into beast mode , but I was still able to clearly outwork my opponent. I'm happy that my debut is over, and that I can focus on the future. I personally feel like I'm the logical next number one contender, but I'll let that decision be made by the org owner. At the end of the day, the most important thing for me is to keep improving and get as good as I possibly can. I want to thank my opponent for the good fight!

My opponent.. thinks the shadow is his ally.. I could talk about how I was born in the shadows and had to adapt to the light, which is true, but that shit don't matter.. They're locking us in a cage and that mothafucka got lights all over it!

And there's no escape! No shadows to hide in.. When I slide on top of you, you're gonna have to take it like a man and when it's all over, you can roll over in the shadows as I get my hand raised and the spotlight is put on me. I'll give a long interview for you so your team can clean you up and get your clothes back on. But the important thing to remember as you're taking that walk of shame back to the locker room..

..It happens to hundreds of guys every week, and goes unreported. Your case, however, will be reported because EVERYBODY talks when Bruce "Leroy" steps into the cage.

6-0-0 <-That's a perfect record in case you were wondering

Well I guess it had to happen sooner or later, but still, not finishing a fight is a horrible feeling that I don't plan on revisiting any time soon. I give all the credit in the world to Fabricio, he's a tough dude. I felt I connected with some really solid shots a couple of times, but he has some real guts and I'm very grateful I didn't have to go to the mat with him.

Speaking of not going to the mat. My next opponent is Yong "Brave" Wright or as I like to call him Insignificant Grappler Victim #7. Apparently he thinks he is special. But I'm afraid he is not. He is just the next in a line that ends with me finally getting that title shot and beating whoever is going to be champ at that point. I just wish I could be the first to get him to tap out to strikes, but someone else seems to have beaten me to it. I guess another KO would do as well

I'm looking forward to my next challenge. I'm fighting a Russian submission fighter who has 11 submission victories allready. But he also has 4 (t)KO losses.

And having a bad chin against a guy like me isn't a good idea. I know what you'll try to do my Russian friend, but I'm going to deal with it and the fight will go my way. After that fight, the only thing that makes sense to me is to get the next title shot.

Tune in to see me fight guys as I'm going to put on a great show!

Once again, I was victorious. I manhandled the Russian blackbelt and showed the world that being great in one thing just isn't going to make you a good MMA fighter. I'm a complete fighter and wouldn't even have had problems with going to the ground with this blackbelt. I like to challenge myself against tough opponents. I'm going to be cageside next week when the champ defends his belt. Let one thing be clear, I'm the number one contender now after finishing this Russian Bjj fighter in just one round. No matter who wins the title fight next week, I want the next shot.

C'mon guys, show me your support. This belt is mine for the taking and it's only a matter of time.

You can see the replay of my last fight here.

Muhammed Khan (after his victory at Hilo 25): From the forest itself comes the handle for the axe. I will chop them down, one at a time. They have not seen the things I've seen, have not done the things I've done. My favorite way to win is to spill so much blood that a man cannot continue fighting. I cracked his head open like a coconut, ha ha ha!

Congrats to the new champ in my division. Now you should better get back to training, as I'm the number one contender and I'm coming for you! FIght offer has been sent, and I accepted as soon as I saw it. There was no doubt in my mind that I would be the next contender.

You had a good fight to get the belt, but you'll need a better fight to keep it!

We are now 10days out from my title fight and things are going good. I'm feeling healthy, strong and ready. Fight week is getting closer and than it's just about finetuning some details and train some things that I'll use in my gameplan. I look forward to fighting the champion as he is a guy who doesn't seem to like decision victories either. I'm sure this will be a war and I wouldn't want anything less.

I have most likely my toughest test to date next. My oponent is just like me a standup warrior with great KO-power. He'll be looking to win by KO and so will I . I love finishing my opponents, altough a long good battle could be fun as well, but none of my opponents so far have been able to get me into a dogfight yet. Maybe the champion will be that guy. One thing is sure, the fans will be the real winners. It will either be a flashy KO or a brutal war. Good luck to my opponent. I respect you and your style. Lets meet in the middel of the octagon and see who is the king of the division.

AJ's Birthday Bash 2015

April 17, 2015

The Expo (6,000)

Montreal

To celebrate my birthday, I put together what might be the strongest fight card in New Era Xtreme history. The fight card is stacked with such highly hyped fights that the main card will actually open with a title fight. We've got a second title fight in the main event as well.

Main Event

NEX Heavyweight Championship

Nick Fjera #1 v Stu Grimson ©

http://mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20140818041954NEX2.png

I don't think you can get any more exciting than this. An undefeated striker versus an undefeated submission expert with a championship belt on the line. Both have only seen the judge's scorecards once, so these aren't the type of guys looking to outpoint their opponent. It should be an instant classic.

Co-Main Event

NEX Heavyweight Division

Ricky Butler #7 v Merkan Killmaz #2

Butler appears grossly overmatched, but this has been the case for several of his fights, and he just keeps winning. Killmaz is hoping to prove that Butler is overhyped.

NEX Lightweight Division

Vincent Oketch #2 v Matsui Takamatsu #6

Oketch is hoping to get back on track after losing two in a row, dropping the belt in the process. He'll have a tough test against Takamatsu, who just might be his equal on the mat.

NEX Welterweight Division

Donato Bilancia #3 v Saif Rasheed #5

This is a battle of submission aces with great records. I'm sure that the winner of this one will be hollering for a title shot.

NEX Lightweight Championship

Mack Daddy #4 v Chance Spong ©

http://mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20140818041954NEX2.png

The main card kicks off with battle for the 155 pound strap. Mack Daddy has the power to KO Spong, but might not have the takedown defense to keep it on the feet long enough to get that KO. He's the definite underdog, but Spong was knocked out in his career debut by a big underdog, so anything could happen.

Undercard

NEX Welterweight Division

Renato Babawto v Ivar Lothbrokson #9

NEX Welterweight Division

Xavier Fury v Daario Naharis #10

NEX Middleweight Division

Marc Aslund v Salvatore Pellegrini #10

NEX Lightweight Division

Adam Evans v John Taslim #10

NEX Welterweight Division

Dean Fergers v Viggo Heitannan

AJ's Birthday Bash 2015

April 17, 2015

The Expo (6,000)

Montreal

Wow, what a night. We were hoping for the biggest show in NEX history, and we got it. We sold out a 6000 seat arena and recorded the highest event rating in org history. On top of that, every fight ended in a finish with not a single bout seeing the third round.

In the main event, Stu Grimson defended his heavyweight title. He softened up Nick Fjera with a steady stream of leg kicks, then knocked him out with a big punch.

In the co-main, Merkan Killmaz exposed Ricky Butler as a pretender, knocking him out in under a minute.

In another title fight, Chance Spong continued his dominant ways, extending his win streak to nine and keeping his lightweight strap.

Other main card bouts saw former champ Vincent Oketch get back on the winning track in the lightweight division and saw Donato Bilancia earn himself a title shot in the welterweight division.

All of our OTN awards came from the undercard:
