Lexington "Lex" Snape is the ugliest mo fo in the game!!.....I want to smash your ugly face in....IN!!

Listen little girl. Perhaps you believe you're tough because in kindergarten you beat up another girl in a batman costume, just before your mom picked you up.

You go ahead and smash away. And when I'm done taking your face away, I might just do the same to your mom. Send her my love.

"My name is Seamus Farrley and Im your HW champion. You need to tank me fir this speech. Go on, tank me. Monster hero wanted to welcome me to troid. I welcomed him to my fist and feet. Knocked his fuckin head clean off. His style was basic. He had a weak chin yea. 29 second KO.

You wonder whos this handsome Irish guy headlining cards in his debut. Banging bettys and riding in million dollars cars. You wonder how Ive knocked out every opponent. You will know me.

Snapes style is basic. Listen to me, listen to the irish psycho. Ill knock his teeth out. Hes not the champion I am. His clinch is basic. I went to his house. I said Snack, you got two choices. Option one Seamus farrley whips your arss right now yea. Breaks your fuckin nose good and proper. Option Two you give me the belt right here right now. Forfeit the title today like a good little laddie He looks into my eyes for a moment, Sees that I dont give any fucks, relizes I dint have any fucks to give. He walks into the house without sayin a word. Not a fuckin word. And he comes back out with my belt. Then he tanked me. Told me I was the best ever.

Thats the power. Theres not a man alive that can beat me. Theres not a animal alive that can beat me. Noone can handle the power of the Irish psycho. So watch me. Watch me become a legend"

You may be Irish, but you ain't no Conor McGregor. Maybe his retarded half-literate brother. So, stop with the cheap pretense.

Also, if what you said was true, we wouldn't have to fight. Alas, the fight is scheduled and I wait on top, while you slowly lose tan being overshadowed by my greateness.

The only plausible threat you are to me is that your thick empty skull might injure my knees. But thus is the burden of my crown.

I'm more than willing to pop your little Leprechaun head until it cracks and pours gold coins like an Irish pinata.

Cheers ;)

  • 2 weeks later...

Hey everyone, and welcome to another top Troid event. Preview for this event has been provided by Mickey Goldmill, so I hope you all enjoy his work!

Billy Balls (2-2) vs Nate Lamb (3-4)

In a battle of two bantamweights looking to stay relevant, we have a rematch of two fighters that are primarily strikers. In the last contest, only one takedown was attempted in the 15 minute affair. Billy Balls is a solid point boxer who has great technique, but doesn’t quite have the knockout power you’d expect from someone so technically sound. Balls struggled in the first fight, only landing around 20% of his punches. Nate Lamb’s standup was also rendered useless, but he was able to take the fight into the clinch multiple times. Once there, Lamb unloaded on his opponent with vicious knees and elbows that won him the fight. In the rematch, the question is can Balls keep the fight at a distance to neutralize the great clinch game of Lamb.

Prediction: Lamb by Decision

Tyrion Lannister (6-6) vs Phan Benjawan (8-12)

In the rematch of striker versus grappler, Lannister looks to even the score. In the first fight, Lannister was abused on his feet by the all-around striking of Benjawan. The first fight almost went the distance, but Lannister connected with an uppercut that led to a knockout win after 3:39 of the third round. After failing to secure the majority of his takedown attempts, Lannister has to find a way to do so if he hopes to pick up the win in the second fight. Benjawan displayed decent wrestling by defending against all six of the submission attempts of Lannister. The talk from his camp suggests Lannister has improved his standup tenfold, but will it be able to shine under the bright lights?

Prediction: Benjawan by TKO

Tyrell Myrell (4-1) vs James Raban (10-8)

One of the gatekeepers of the heavyweight division will be in action against an up and comer in Tyrell Myrell. After suffering a loss in his organization debut, Myrell will be looking to make a statement against the older Raban. Myrell has dynamite in his hands, as three of his four wins have come by way of knockout. The question is will that power carry over to this organization. In James Raban, you know you’re facing a very well balanced fighter. Raban is a ground and pound wrestler who also boasts some good BJJ. He has no submission victories in his career and doesn’t really look for them, but he does possess a good background. Can Tyrell Myrell begin his climb to the top of the heavyweight ladder?

Prediction: Raban by Decision

Paulo Lovato (2-0) vs Juliano Villar (9-7-1)

Paulo Lovato comes into this fight 2-0, but this will still be his fight true fight. His previous contests were basically in independent organizations. His opponent, Juliano Villar is a well-traveled fighter who has competed in multiple fight organizations and is making his Troid debut as well. Both light heavyweights are very well rounded and the fight should be one of the most competitive fights on the card. Villar has picked up 8 of his wins by way of submission, while Lovato’s first two wins were also by way of submission. This shouldn’t come as a shock to anyone as both fighters have black belts in BJJ. This one could go either way, but one would think the experience of Villar should allow him to prevail in a very tight contest

Prediction: Villar by Submission

Junior Borg (6-5-1) vs Sirodom Kingchanklao (10-6)

Former bantamweight champion Junior Borg is looking to start fresh after losing his title two fights ago. After another submission loss in his first match back, Borg is in a very interesting spot here. He more than likely needs a win just to stay in the discussion of getting a title shot down the road. His opponent in this one, “Knee” Kingchanklao is a veteran who has been around the block and making his Troid debut. With the majority of his wins by decision, many skeptics believe Borg should have an easy time with the man known as Knee. Borg is an all-purpose striker who will certainly test the chin of Kingchanklao. This marks one of the first times I can recall that Borg isn’t on the main card so it will be interesting to see if that provides any more fuel to the fire.

Prediction: Borg by TKO

Herman Del Fuego (4-3) vs Jack Bronson (10-3)

In that last fight of the prelims, veteran Jack Bronson will look to work his way back into another title shot. His last fight, a match for the title, ended after the knees of Lex Snape were too much for Bronson in the second round. Outside of his two losses against Snape, Bronson is a perfect 5-0 in the organization and an amazing 10-1 overall. Herman Del Fuego is looking to build upon his first Troid win after a decision win over Tyrell Myrell. Both fighters possess elite level striking, but in different aspects. Bronson will almost certainly look to get this fight into the clinch where he almost always holds the advantage. Del Fuego, the more accomplished technical boxer, will be content standing at a distance and trading shots.

Prediction: Bronson by TKO

Forrest Dump (7-1) vs Lance Legstrong (7-2)

The first fight on the main card promises to be a great fight. Forrest Dump is riding a four fight winning streak that include two decision wins in the Troid organization. Dump will certainly be in for the toughest fight of his career against former number one contender Lance Legstrong. In his last fight, Legstrong was defeated in the first round by champion Jackob Johansson. This fight will certainly shape the landscape of the light heavyweight division. Both fighters are at similar stages of their fight career and it seems to be thought that a win over Legstrong would propel Dump to a title shot. If that is to come to fruition, Dump has to avoid the lethal submission game of Legstrong, as six of his seven wins have come by way of submission.

Prediction: Dump by Decision

The Steel Penn (11-4) vs Conan Crom (10-4)

In another addition of striker vs grappler, former bantamweight contender Conan Crom will look to being his quest for a title shot with a man who most think is incredibly close to getting his first title fight in a great career. Crom won the last fight just one minute before the final bell was set to sound by TKO. The fight spring boarded Crom to an eventual title shot and The Steel Penn hasn’t forgot that. In the first fight, he was unable to succeed with the vast majority of his takedown attempts. Unable to strike with Crom, Penn survived as long as he possibly could but just couldn’t manage to stay in the fight. In the rematch, Penn will have to have the same game plan if he wants to win the fight. In another fight with title shot implications, Penn is looking to finally break through.

Prediction: Penn by Decision

Adnan Cirak (8-3) vs Jon Jones (11-8-1)

In two of his last three fights, Jon Jones has come away with Fight of the Night honors. Unfortunately for Jones, he is 0-2-1 in those fights. After a great start to his MMA career, Jones has fallen on hard times as of late. His opponent, Adnan Cirak has proven himself a force inside the 170 pound division. Cirak is 4-1 in his last five fights and all but one of the wins have come by way of knockout. The fighters are very similar, but Cirak holds a distinct advantage on the ground and that could be huge as Jones has been submitted three times already in his career. The big question is can Jones use his amazing power to put Cirak down? That has been the story in ten of his eleven MMA wins. With another win, even against a middling Jones, Cirak should be knocking on the door of a title shot.

Prediction: Cirak by Decision

Bary Allen (7-2-1) vs Frank Damozzi (9-3-1)

In the light heavyweight division, competition is very force in this Troid organization. Former Barbarian and Evil Empire champion Frank Damozzi has found life in Troid a bit tougher than his previous stops. He’ll get a shot at redeeming himself after a majority draw in his last fight against Barry Allen. Coming in with a lot of hype, Damozzi has started out 1-1-1 in the organization with his one win being a decision win. Allen’s Troid debut was a unanimous decision win over Magnus Svensson. In the first fight, Damozzi was very effective at getting the fight to the ground (4 takedowns) and was able to land some ground and pound as well. Allen largely won the standup contest with his well-timed leg kicks, but never really stunned the former champion. In what was a very evenly matched first fight, we are sure to see another competitive fight between two elite light heavyweights.

That concludes our analysis of the event, provided by Mickey Goldmill. Be sure to look out for the results on Saturday evening!

TROID: SLIDER KINGS VIII

PREVIEW

Arena: Knight’s Court (18,000)

Date: 29th November 2014

Merch Partner: Bad Man Clothing

Hey everyone, and welcome to our preview of possible the biggest event in Troid history! Live from the Knight’s Court arena, in our home of London, we have got a fantastic night for you. 10 fights, 20 fighters, 6 title fights and a grand slam total of 42 potential rounds for your viewing pleasure. With such high energy in the arena, this is sure to be an event you must not miss. Let’s get right down to the action, with our most in-depth analysis yet!

FIGHT #1 – Lightweight Division!

Pale Monster NAME Ken Masters

10-4-0 RECORD 11-3-1

USA COUNTRY USA

5”8 (173) HEIGHT 5”9 (176)

------------------ ALLIANCE Legion of Doom

Total Impact GYM Spartan MMA LOD

Los Angeles, California FIGHTING OUT OF Los Angeles, California

A fantastic battle to start off Slider Kings VIII! Monster is a BJJ specialist who uses his wrestling to get the fight to where he knows best. He has trained on his boxing and muay thai in order to survive for as long as possible until he gets the fight down, and that could be key to him winning this fight. Masters must also be wary of Monster using the clinch to pull guard, as we have seen him do before.

Masters is a fighter who is comfortable striking from anywhere. He has wonderful wrestling, which allows him not only to keep the fight standing, but to also dominate inside the clinch. Monster will be at a disadvantage here, as the fight starts in Master’s preferred fighting area. He will need to find a way to take him down in order to win.

Overall, I think this will be an interesting fight. I am confident we will see a finish, but unfortunately for Monster, I don’t see him being able to take Master down before he gets KO’ed.

PREDICTION: Masters to win via (T)KO in Round 2

FIGHT #2 – Middleweight Division!

Francisco Morales NAME Myron Echoes

6-2-0 RECORD 10-2-0

Cause McDubree MANAGER Joe Ma

LoHoo Crew ALLIANCE Murder Inc.

A.D. Superstars Inc GYM Total Impact

Jutiapa, Guatemala FIGHTING OUT OF Dayton, Ohio

Much like the last fight, this fight pits two fighters who have opposite styles of fighting.

Morales is a striker, who will be looking to use his boxing to take down Echoes. He has been working on his Muay Thai and his Wrestling as well, so we might see some clinch fighting, but overall, I expect him to keep striking from a distance.

Echoes is a BJJ fighter, who has solid wrestling to compliment his ground game. He will be looking to take the fight to the floor however he can, and to sink in a submission when he has the opportunity.

I expect Echoes superior wrestling to help him land a takedown here, and we can be expecting a submission to follow shortly.

PREDICTION: Echoes to win via Submission in Round 1

FIGHT #3 – Lightweight Division!

Raiden Asuka NAME Leo Galante

9-3-0 RECORD 6-3-0

Japan COUNTRY Russia

VENDETTA Elite Gym GYM Holding Cell

Tokyo, Japan FIGHTING OUT OF Empire Bay, Russia

A break away from the mould of what we have seen previously. Both of these fighters prefer the ground game, so expect a BJJ stand-off.

Asuka has Strong Wrestling to accompany his BJJ Brown Belt. 8 out of his 9 wins have come via submission, and all of those 8 wins have come inside the 1st round.

Galante has the advantage standing, and he also holds a huge advantage in his wrestling. Should the fight go to the floor, he also has a BJJ Purple Belt which will serve him well.

I am expecting Galante to keep the fight standing, where he holds a great advantage. Asuka will need to get the fight to the ground, but it could be curtains for him before he achieves that.

PREDICTION: Galante to win via (T)KO in Round 2

FIGHT #4 – Middleweight Division! – TITLE FIGHT!

Garfield Sobers NAME Indigo Starseed

8-3-0 RECORD 10-4-0

Fucktown, Barbados FIGHTING OUT OF Arcturus, Israel

Our first title match of the night pits Sobers against Starseed. Both of these fighters are two of the best in the org, and I expect to see fireworks.

Sobers is defending the belt for the first time tonight. He has wonderful striking, but he is Elite in Wrestling and a Black Belt. He has shown the ability to knock people out, while also making them submit, so he is an extremely dangerous opponent for anyone.

Starseed is equally as skilled as Sobers. He might not be as proficient in Wrestling as him, but he has shown better Muay Thai, and has also shown the ability to knock people out while also submitting them.

The advantage Starseed has is that he has been tested in the later rounds more than his opponent. It will be interesting to see what tactics these fighters use, and the winner will be a deserving champion!

PREDICTION: Starseed to win via (T)KO in Round 4

FIGHT #5 – Featherweight Division! – TITLE FIGHT!

Elijah Hart NAME Sam Quint

6-4-1 RECORD 7-0-1

Another title fight for our fans to feast their eyes on! Hart is defending his title for the third time against a new challenger in Sam Quint.

Hart has been a mainstay in Troid since it’s reopening, and it was fitting when he won the title from long time rival Junior Borg. He started out with some great wrestling and BJJ, but has brought his striking up to speed to make him dangerous everywhere. Will we finally see his infamous “Milking the Cow” technique? If we do, it is sure to blow the roof off the arena.

Sam Quint made his name outside of Troid, but when he came in, he caused quite a stir in the fans. He has been thrown into a title fight that he should have got at previous orgs, and he will be chomping at the bit to get the opportunity to prove himself. He is even with Hart in his ability, so I expect to see a war that really can go anywhere.

I expect Hart to simply have too much experience in the Troid cage, and to overcome another challenge.

PREDICTION: Hart to win via (T)KO in Round 3

FIGHT #6 – Lightweight Division! – TITLE FIGHT!

Sam Urai NAME Timothy Robinson

7-2-0 RECORD 9-3-0

YABAI ALLIANCE The Corporation

Dr. Hatsumi’s Clinic GYM Gorilla Warfare MMA

A bit of an underdog clash here, as Sam Urai defends his title against Timothy Robinson.

Sam Urai is a master of Boxing and BJJ, and he has developed a solid MT and Wrestling game to compliment those. He has shown an aptitude for knocking people out, and for also submitting them. He had climbed to the top of the Lightweight Division, and the future looks like it won’t be changing for him.

Timothy Robinson has been on a roll, winning his last two fights. All of his wins have come via Submission, and even though he is the underdog, Sam Urai will need to be wary of Robinson taking the fight to the floor. He can easily submit a man within seconds, could we be about to see one of the biggest upsets in Troid history?

Overall, from the paper, Urai should have no problems in winning this fight. But as we all know, anything can happen, so I will be keeping a keen eye on this fight!

PREDICTION: Urai to win via (T)KO in Round 2

FIGHT #7 – Light Heavyweight Division! – TITLE FIGHT!

A huge light heavyweight title fight here as Johansson defends his title once more against Lothbrok. Both of these fighters are evenly matched, with Lothbrok holding a slight striking advantage while Johansson has the advantage on the ground.

Johansson is coming off three straight title victories. He has shown he can take fighters to the ground and make them submit. With Lothbrok holding a slight advantage, I expect Johansson to try to take this to the floor, and to try to sink in a submission.

Lothbrok has overcome two solid challenges so far in his Troid career, and has earned his title shot. With his mastery of striking, he will be confident in his ability to KO Johansson, and leave the cage will the belt firmly around his waist.

I have a feeling we will see a new champion crowned in this fight. Questions have been raised about Johansson’s chin in the past, so if Lothbrok comes out swinging, one punch could finish it.

PREDICTION: Lothbrok to win via (T)KO in Round 1

The most successful champion in Troid’s history, Carlo Froch, once again takes to the cage and he will be facing a man he has been destined to cross paths with since he was first signed, Carlos Centurion.

Froch’s Troid career started at Troid 1: Resurgence, he was victorious that day and he hasn’t been stopped since. He currently has 7 title defences to his name and looks to make it 8 tonight. One of his best skills is his ability to be unpredictable, one fight he dominates with his wrestling and the next he will batter people in the clinch; it will be interesting to see what he does tonight. Centurion was on the fast track to facing Froch a while back, coming over from BEEF with an impressive record, but he lost his second Troid fight. Since then he has been a man possessed using his vicious Muay Thai to dominate foes with brutal kicks and bone breaking knees in the clinch, he is very much a fighter who bases his gameplan around his Muay Thai.

This will come down to the grappling game of Froch and the stand-up skills of Centurion. Froch has consistently proved everyone wrong, everytime he was the underdog and he has shown no glaring holes in his game and Centurion will have his hands full with the attack Froch brings, so I’m going to side with Froch in this one.

PREDICTION: Froch to win via Unanimous Decision

FIGHT #9 – Featherweight Division!

John Fadden NAME Zachary White

A huge co-main event as John Fadden takes on Zachary “Zap Zap” White, two of the most popular fighters currently on the roster at Troid.

Fadden comes into this fight riding an impressive 4 fight winning streak. He has built himself a huge fan following as he is known for his high paced fights and his highlight reel finishes, whether it is his slick submissions or his devastating KOs. He is capable of fighting at range where he can use his natural power or inside the clinch where he displays his great wrestling control, he is also able to savage his foes with his vicious ground and pound. He will be facing the man they call Zap Zap. White comes over from MAWC where he was a successful champion, but he is best remembered for his days verbally and physically dominating the 155lbs fighter at Barbarian Fight Club. Blessed with the uncanny ability to shut the lights out of anyone standing across from him as shown by all of his 13 wins coming via (T)KO. He can scorch people on the feet or he can use his strength to muscle his foes around in the clinch. Historically he is a fast starter, storming across the cage to meet his foe as soon as the bell rings, so Fadden must be weary of this.

My personal view on how this fight will go, I think it will be a good scrap for a few minutes before Fadden makes a mistake and takes Zap Zap to the clinch, from where White will add another TKO to his record.

PREDICTION: White to win via (T)KO in Round 1

The main event of the evening is where the heavyweights collide. Lex Snape looks to defend his title against knock out machine Seamus Farrelly in what is sure to provide fireworks.

Bad blood has been brewing between these two for a while, with Farrelly guaranteeing fans a knock out. Snape comes into this fight winning his last 5 fights, with 4 of them being displays of his vicious clinch game, look out for those killer knees he has. His superb wrestling skills allow him to stay upright and physically dominate in the clinch where he shows great dexterity utilising knees, elbows and punches, 5 of his overall 12 (T)KO wins have come from him using his knee to finish his opponents. Farrelly has showed off his one punch KO power throughout his career, often it leaves his opponents face down and leaving the fans with their jaws dropped after witnessing the brutality Farrelly brings. He has great boxing ability as he does not just head hunt, he mixes his punches up going to the body then up top being unpredictable. In more recent fights Farrelly has used more kicks in his game to make his opponent worry which of his 4 limbs will come at him next. It will be interesting to see if Snape can make it past the first round as none of the previous 5 opponents of Farrelly have been able to.

This fight will come down to whether or not Snape can get the fight in the clinch where he can use those knees of his to break Farrelly’s willpower. I don’t think he will be able to do that as I believe that Farrelly will manage to avoid the clinch for the most part and eventually he will swarm Snape and take the title away, bringing a new era to Troid’s heavyweight division.

PREDICTION: Farrelly to win via (T)KO in Round 1

That is our preview of Slider Kings VIII. Be sure to keep an eye out for the results, as Troid holds its biggest event ever, and one that is sure to change the future of every division in Troid!

"It was another easy night in london. The entire arena was filled with the Irish. My name sold every seat in less than one hour. Tats the power the Irish psycho brings to the world. I brought the belt with me and I took away with me. I wasnt trying to avoid the clinch as I feel comfortable there. Half my win come from clinching a guy and punching his lights out. Then snape tried to spam the clinch and I had to knock his silly ass out. His style got basic. This is my belt and it shouldnt be any suprise how this fight ended. Ive only won by knockout and ill continue to win by knockout. Im here waiting for my next match. Ive also been challenged by half the fighters In the world so who knows what will happen next. I do know there chins are basic."

I believe in giving credit where credit is due - and you just got lucky. I'll do what is necessary to get the title shot back and then I'll paint the octagon with your insides :)

You're good. Hell, you're the second best. But tonight, it's pure chance that secured your belt, not skill. Adios!

Thanks to Sam Uri for putting the Title on the line against me on what looks like the biggest TROID card in recent times.

Not many people gave me a chance and i was expected to be KO'd in the second round. Sorry to disappoint you guys.

Since i signed with TROID, i have noticed a step up in competition which has inspired me to train harder than ever. And now all that hard work has paid off as i am the best in the division. And my career is only getting started...

Interview with Troid LHW champion, Jackṏb Jṏhanssṏn

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/13884100271111.png

Jackob; first of all congratulations on another victory and another finish. You seem to be improving and showing new elements to your game each fight, what was the game-plan coming into this fight?

Thanks. In this fight I wanted to exploit Lothbrok's mediocre ground game. Also when studying his fights, especially Mayo Kermode fight I noticed that his clinchwork is not that great either. Basically I wanted to keep it standing for a while, get the clinch, bash him with some knees, pull guard and get the sub. I did all that inside first round so I'm pretty satisfied with my performance.

It is now 4 straight wins with the title on the line in Troid now, how are you feeling about your success?

To be completely honest with you I'm still upset about my first fight with Jim Cain. He caught me with a clean punch, I'm not making excuses, but even then I knew I was better than him. And I proved it in our rematch... and our third fight. I would be 8-0 in Troid with 7 title defenses if not for that fight. That would be nice don't you think? But it's in the past now, and I'm building a new streak. By the way Cain got knocked the fucked out by Lothbrok in two minutes. Just saying.

Was there any worry before the fight about the power that Lothbrok brought with him to the cage?

Yes of course, Lothbrok has proven time after time that he is a dangerous striker with a lot of power. That being said I was really confident that my preparation will be enough.

At the young age of 22 you are seemingly destined for great thing in MMA. What fighter do you see as the biggest threat at the moment at LHW in Troid?

I had my first fight when I was seventeen, and back then I already trained for a year so yeah I started my career pretty fast compared to the rest. I think Damozzi is gonna be a tough fight, he is propably gonna fight me next. There is one guy that I can't wait to fight and it is Niten Dōraku, the japanese guy. I would love to test my skills against him. Also there is that dude from North Korea, Kim Pong Small Dong* or something like that. He is legit, I saw him fight, not much hype around him but great skills.

With an influx of talent joining the Troid’s LHW division, do you feel you can maintain your success against these new fighters?

Yes. With enough preparation, some luck and the right mindset I believe I can beat them all.

Final question, what do you ultimately want to achieve at Troid?

Defeat every legit contender inside the distance (especially guys I mentioned), and then maybe I will jump to Heavyweight for few super-fights.

Interview with Troid WW champion, Carlos Centurion

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/24/24b26.jpg

Congrats on the win Carlos, you took a hard fought decision win over the reigning champion Carlo Froch. Were you a little worried entering the fight, facing off against a seemingly unstoppable guy?

Not much, me and my manager make a lot of researches about my opponent and after that we know exatly what gameplan we need and what skills we need improve in my training camp

You really dominated the stand up portions of this fight. Was that your plan coming into the fight?

Yeah, i'm a striker, thats who i amThere's no secret.

What really stood out was your striking defence in this fight, you made Froch miss the majority of his strikes, was your plan to counter his aggressiveness?

Yeah i was really good prepared for his boxing. Me and team we know he's a boxer, i was don't worry about his muay-thai so thats why he was a litlle bit predictable for me.

Was there anything that Froch did to surprise you in the fight?

I was litlle bit surprised what he was able take me down 5 times, i work really hard on my takedown defense, no one from sparring partners not be able to take me down)

Now you are champion, is there anyone you think will make a good challenge for you in your first title defense?

There's some real serious challenges in my division like Andokuhle "Pumba" Congo or Marcelo Aurelio and of course Carlo Froch will be looking for revenge, but it's all up to matchmakers, i truly believe i can beat anybody in my division

Interview with Troid LW champion, Timothy Robinson

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14030102354337.jpg

First of all, congrats on the monumental title win. Nobody expected you to win, yet here you stand with the title around your waist and victor of one of the greatest upsets in Troid history. How do you feel right now?

Thanks a lot. On paper it certainly looked like i had no right to win, but i trained hard to round out my skills and in the end i picked my moment to earn the victory and the belt!

Was there any moment during the fight where you thought you were in trouble?

How about the first few rounds? I was put in a few dangerous positions early in the fight, but i have been through a lot of tough fights and i guess my experience in that situation certainly helped.

What was your gameplan heading into the fight? And what if anything surprised you about Urai?

My game plan was to take him down and get the submission as early as possible, but someone forgot to tell HIM that! We are both very good on the ground, and one mistake could have ended it for either of us. In the end i was lucky that i caught him in the triangle, but it easily could have been me.

You started your career at the early age of 16, and 3 years later you already have the world title and you are the youngest champion currently on the roster. If you could describe your career in one sentence, what would it be?

Wow. When my brother Richard started training at Gorilla Warfare MMA i was invited to train with them and i never left. Now i have a title and my brother is fighting for a Title in LA based Insanity.
Who would have thought it would happen, but I'm just enjoying the ride! Wait, was that one sentence? Sorry!

Many thought you were mad even taking the fight with dominating champion Urai, what was your thought process behind why you accepted the fight?

Well i signed over from IMPACT and was offered a tough fight for a belt. I had a good training camp and the confidence to win and it worked. Take nothing away from Urai. This was my toughest fight to date and i have the belt to prove it.
He is more than welcome to have another crack at it.

What do you see yourself doing next?

Well, being the Champ i now have a bullseye on my back, so i will be fighting any Lightweight who thinks he can take my belt.
But before i accepted the Title fight i had been watching my diet and slimming down for the upcoming TWGC which is rumoured to be happening soon. Troid owner Grant Brophy had already agreed to let me compete in it.
If TWGC is not happening anytime soon, i have a fight offer against contender Matt Green. So Green WILL get his shot, but when it happens depends on if TWGC is on track for December.

Interview with Troid MW champion, Garfield Sobers

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/2/2w8.jpg

Congrats on your first successful title defence. You made up for your loss to Starseed to settle the record at 1-1. What changes did you make from your first fight with Starseed to win this time around?

Thanks Michael for the compliments. As far as starseed I had never worked takedown def before our first fight. My manager really went off. I lost by all three judges in that first fight. I was so scared of what might happen if I didnt win on saturday. Going into the fith we were tied. He told me not to embaress him so I went and dominated that fifth round.

You called out the 170lbs champion in your post fight speech, but he lost later that night. Are you still interested in making a superfight at 170lbs?

Yea that punk ass bitch is ducking me. Losing his belt to be smaller target and shit. I could beat whoever the champ is. Make no mistake my manager plans to pimp me out and ill be stuck with funny money. That monopoly money. You cant buy shit with that. I need to get paid thats whats up

Your team-mate Sheamus Farrelly is making all the headlines at the moment. Is there any jealousy in you or are you happy for him to do that whilst you sit back and quietly work your way to glory?

Hell no I aint cool with it. Hes buying islands and I got these shitty shoes. But I gotta represent my team KCC for life. Im underpaid. Under appreciated. Under all types of shit. I dont like fighting. You think its nice gettin punched and shit. Im an alcoholic so I gotta get that money. I dont like gettin looked down on cause im homeless and I aint gettin no glory, shit the prefight everyone thought I would lose

Did anything Starseed do in the fight surprise you at all?

yes he kept reversing me like a mark ass bitch. Got his stank breath all in my face. But hes a good dude even though he aint fightin no hitters

What do you see yourself doing next? And is there anything else you would like to add?

My manager dont like me talking about my future cause I get all emotional so I just wanna give a few shoutouts to all my boys at lil ceasers, 5$ hot and ready pizza motherfucker! My team, bananas for being easy to peel, mens diapers for soakin up piss, tropical starbursts, legalized marijuana, obamacare, failed relationships, the sun for drying up the rain, CBK for not kicking me out, dumpsters for hiding all our valuables and carbons for making up 18 percent of our bodys!

Interview with Troid FW champion, Elijah Hart

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/34/34w21.jpg

Congrats on another successful title defence. How did you feel coming into the fight?

I felt good thank you. My team back home - Jebediah and Isiah of the Pennsylvania Fighting Amish - said all the guys there were praying for me. I know I've been called loveably dim by some in the media but I trust my manager Bwang Jong Sr to come up with the correct plan for each opponent, and all those years lifting cows and tree trunks back on the farmstead have made me strong.

You were facing Sam Quint, a fighter also known for his boxing. Was there any worry coming into the fight facing such a powerful boxer?

Bless you, I wasn't worried though. I felt fast and capable.

What was your game-plan entering the fight?

To be honest I don't seem to remember any longer. I've been told I hit hard so I guess that is my main tactic, but my first love was submission grappling so if I can win on the ground I am happiest. But I tend to forget my fights straight away and just return to the gym to try and improve. I don't sit still or rest - I love to learn learn learn about all the fighting arts.

You also got KOTN for your violent KO of Quint early in the second round, how does that make you feel?

He's a grizzled old Captain - I'm sure he's had worse! But I said my prayers for him in the locker room afterwards and I know he took the defeat like a man. The cash is a very nice bonus and will go straight into my coaching fees at the team gym The Zoo.

What do you feel is next for you as champion?

I see that John Fadden is ranked above me in the Troid featherweight division. It'd be fun to see if he truly belongs there. Or Tuomari Hurmio - I am sure he is a brother from another mother. But I trust Mr Brophy and the team at Troid to arrange the fights the fans want to see. And I know my manager and gym mates can prepare me in time for anyone.

Finally I'd like to give a big shout out to my stable mate Yuri Boshtok who is in Troid's Next Top Fighter competition - I look forward to you improving your standup game so we can make some serious waves together in this division, in this great org. Many thanks! And Jehovah loves you.

Interview with former Troid WW champion and Hall of Fame entree, Carlo Froch

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/40/40b11.jpg

You suffered your first ever loss today, how do you feel?

I feel down of course but I will get over this and regain the title back.

What do you feel went wrong for you during the fight?

I came in with the new tactics and it backfired. I took my eye off the ball and paid the price but full credit to Centurion he got it right.

What was your game-plan coming into the fight? And what if anything did Centurion do to surprise you?

His standup defence was a lot harder to break than I was expecting and I wasn't able to get off my shots like in the past.

How amazing has your run as champion been?

It has been great I didn't expect to be champion for over a year 8 title defences is hard to do and it goes to show im one of the most dominating champions troid has ever had.

Win or lose, you still come out of the fight as the latest entrée into the Troid Hall of Fame for your dominating run as champion. How much does being inducted mean to you?

It is an honour, every person on that list was great so to be mentioned up with them is amazing and my career still isn't over so hopefully I will improve on my record.

You are still one of the best fighters in the 170lbs division and in Troid, what do you feel is next for you?

I am still the best fighter in this division I'll get back to my training and regain the title within a few fights. you'll see my name again up the top of the food chain.

I wish you luck in your next fight whoever that may be and once again congratulations for the Hall of Fame entry.

Interview with Troid HW champion, Seamus Farrelly

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/33/33a1.jpg

Sheamus, you stand before me as a champion of Troid’s HW division. You fought against Lex Snape who posed a serious threat in the clinch. What if anything worried you coming into the fight?

First off all I should give you a proper fuckin beatin for callin me sheamus. Its seamus, I tauht you took your job serious? As far as snape Im was not concerned with his clinch. I belive we spent most of our fight in the clinch and scored evenly. Twards the end of the first I was don showing my clinch. Started to go for the knockout which dint take long

What did you feel you were better at coming into the fight and what was the gameplan?

Im better at all of it. I could have subbed him aswell.Snape is basic. His chin is basic. Noone can take teas shots. The gameplan was to clinch a little. Not as much as he wanted and to put a lot of pressue while boxing. And ofcourse to take home KOTN which im still waiting for.

There are rumors that many potential challengers from outside the org have asked Grant Brophy for your name, how does this make you feel?

I feel like tey can get in line. I suggest they join troid. Sign a big 5 fight deal and ill do the rest

You now have an impressive 17 (T)KO victories on your record, what is the secret behind your KO power?

Im a wreckin ball yea. I train hard. I know what I can do. And I know your chin is basic. I just gotta touch it standing clinching or on the ground and its free money

Snape has gone on record saying he could beat you in a rematch, what did you think of his statement?

I welcome him to try. I will knock him out faster this time. What would have happend if I just broke clinch instead of blockin 200 knees.

Fellow Irish fighter Carlo Froch, lost his title at the same event you won yours. How does it feel being the sole Irish representative left amongst Troid title holders?

Yea im the king of ireland. My face is on every building. Woman beg to sleep with me. I deserve it all and this is only a taste of whats to come. Nobody came to see froch. Hes a nice little hillbilly kid

Who do you see yourself fighting next? And is there anything else you would like to add?

Im building a legacy before your eyes, aye? I would fight snape or whoever is ready. Im here for big wins and bigger paydays. if he or anyone of troids hw think they can beat me then send me a fight offer and well findout whats up

Hey everyone, and welcome to our Preview of T52: Doe vs Muria! With a lot of recent success for Troid, the management team are hoping this turns out to be another success for the org. Analysis of the events are provided by resident writer, Mickey Goldmill!

Herman Mudgett (0-4) vs Leandro Jones (3-2)
How much longer will Herman Mudgett be in Troid? After a 0-2 start in the organization and his total 0-4 record, he has to be wondering if he can cut it as a professional mixed martial artist. If he can’t right the ship with a win in this fight, he could very well see himself on the unemployment line. Going in the other direction, Leandro Jones has won both of his fights in the Troid fight organization. With another win, Jones could potentially crack the upper rings of the division, while a loss would set him back quite a ways. The Achilles heel for Mudgett has been his submission defense. While Jones isn’t a great submission artist, he’ll still be tested.
Prediction: JONES BY DECISION

Sud Saming (2-0) vs Helder Dias (5-6)
After two very impressive knockout wins in back alley fight organizations, Sud Saming is looking to prove he belongs in Troid with a debut win. Saming is a well-balanced fighter who possesses knockout power as well. His muay thai is highly advanced for someone so young, but he isn’t a one dimensional striker by any stretch of the imagination. He’ll get a real test in his debut fight with Helder Dias. Dias is a great wrestler who tends to grind his opponents down over time. With multiple submission wins, Dias also boasts a very good BJJ base. The ground game of Saming hasn’t been showcased yet, as both of his fights have been over with in less than 90 seconds. If the fight hits the mat, I think the whole world will be curious what Saming can do.
Prediction: SAMING BY DECISION

Miguel Kobe Lombard (9-6) vs Robert Mazzuca (5-2)
After coming into Troid with a lot of hype, Miguel Kobe Lombard hasn’t quite lived up to it as of yet. With two losses in his first two fights, Lombard has went back to the drawing board. Lombard is a very good clinch fighter who also does a great job when the fight hits the mat. He’ll get a stern test in the clinch game department from his opponent, Robert Mazzuca. Mazzuca is also lethal in the clinch and also has great technical boxing that can pose problems for Lombard. After a successful stint in Impact fighting, Mazzuca wasted no time making a name for himself in Troid by defeating former upstart Owen Williams.
Prediction: MAZZUCA BY TKO

Bang Wuzz (5-3) vs Lincoln Osiris (4-3)
After a loss in his debut Troid fight, Lincoln Osiris is hoping his ground game will be able to carry him to a win in this fight. Osiris won’t have an easy time on the ground in this feet though, as opponent Bang Wuzz is an equally talented submission artist. Each fighter has four wins by way of submission, but I would feel comfortable saying Wuzz has faced superior opponents thus far in his career than Osiris. With both opponents being submission artists, it’ll be interesting to see how much of this fight takes place on the feet. Neither fighter has finished anyone with strikes, but the striking could get be the edge one fighter needs if this fight goes the distance.
Prediction: WUZZ BY SUBMISSION

Trev Hartley (7-5-1) vs Kim II Sung (3-2)
Since arriving in Troid, Trev Hartley has been on a war path, winning his first two matches in impressive fashion. Hartley is an older fighter at 27 years old, compared to his 20 year old opponent Kim II Sung. Sung is also very talented on the ground and is probably more advanced in BJJ than his older opponent. While Hartley is the more polished, experienced figher, Sung definitely has the potential to be better. The only question is can the much younger fighter use the tools he possesses to keep the game Trev Hartley at bay. He’ll need to get this fight into the clinch or on the ground to have a good shot at it. Hartley isn’t the greatest in the clinch, which could easily be exploited by Sung.
Prediction: SUNG BY SUBMISSION

Lex Layser (10-4) vs Jack Olin (7-4)
Former champion Jack Olin is looking to get back to the form that won him the title a half dozen fights ago. Olin is as elite of a wrestler as there is in mixed martial arts and also has a staunch BJJ skillset. Although almost all of his wins have come by way of knockout, Olin is very capable of grinding the life out of his opponent with his controlled wrestling. On the other side, Lax Layser has been on the wrong end of back to back first round finishes. Another great BJJ practitioner, Layser uses his submission game much more than Olin. Both fighters are very capable of grinding a fight out and I expect this fight to be just that, a grinder.
Prediction: OLIN BY DECISION

Nate Diaz (8-8) vs Justin Hunter (4-0)
Justin Hunter has been dominant in his first four MMA contests, winning three by knockout. He’ll be tested by a more experienced Nate Diaz in this fight. Diaz has won his last two fights in Troid and is starting to excel as a fighter after showing a weak chin early in his career. While his striking may not be powerful, Diaz’s submission game is capable of producing quick finishes. If Diaz can handle the powerful striking from Hunter, he should be able to control the fight on the ground. Hunter’s ground game hasn’t been tested yet, but the word is he’s no slouch. I think we’ll get a better idea of his BJJ abilities after this fight with a very talented Nate Diaz.
Prediction: DIAZ BY DECISION

Paul Landen (7-2) vs Kasper Koltun (6-5)
Two wrecking balls will square off as longtime Troid fighter Kasper Koltun takes on Paul Landen. Both fighters feature serious power and have the vast majority of their wins by knockout. Koltun is coming off two straight losses, but has been a mainstay in the organization and has proven himself against top quality competition. Landen is 1-1 in Troid and some have suggested a lot of his knockout wins weren’t against high quality competition. He’ll get the chance to disprove that notion tonight as Koltun is known as one of the best strikers around. This fight has a slugfest written all over it, as both fighters haven’t shown much desire to take the fight to the ground.
Prediction: KOLTUN BY TKO

Pika Chu (9-3) vs Tom Hardy (9-6)
Pika Chu comes into the Troid fight organization with a lot of hype. Chu has shown amazing power, with all of his wins coming by way of knockout. With a great boxing base, Chu has also shown the ability to get his opponent to the ground and deliver vicious ground and pound. His opponent, Tom Hardy, is quite a bit different. While Hardy also doesn’t mind the fight getting to the ground, he is a definite submission artist. With over two thirds of his wins coming by way of submission, both fighters will have to tread lightly on the ground. If Chu can avoid the great submissions of Hardy, he should be able to make a successful Troid debut.
Prediction: CHU BY TKO

John Doe (14-8) vs Le Muria (6-2)
After suffering a brutal knockout loss early in round one at the hands of Le Muria, John Doe is back for revenge in the main event of the night. That fight was both of their debuts in Troid and was a very one sided affair. After a lot of swaying from Doe, we have a rematch for some reason. These fighters were both very successful before Troid, so it’s hard to imagine that Le Muria is that much more talented, but it sure looked that way in the first fight. These two heavyweights don’t have much in terms of BJJ, so look for this fight to be another slugfest. Doe has quite the weight advantage in this fight, so it could be a good idea for him to use the clinch and try to outmuscle the smaller Le Muria instead of letting Le Muria dance around him like the last fight.
PREDICTION: MURIA BY TKO

Well that's another event previewed! Be sure to look out for the Review which will be out soon after the event!

Hey everyone, and welcome to our review of last Saturday's event, T52! Reaction to the fights are provided by Mickey Goldmill, so I hope you enjoy it!

Herman Mudgett (0-4) vs Leandro Jones (3-2)

In a bit of a snoozer, Leandro Jones picked up a decisive unanimous decision win over Herman Mudgett. The fight featured a whole lot of time on the ground, but not very much action. Jones was very efficient going 5-5 on his takedown attempts, compared to the 2-7 from Mudgett. Jones also did a great job getting the dominant position in the clinch and gassing his opponent. In the last round, it was obvious that Jones was the fresher fighter as he easily took Mudgett to the ground and Mudgett wasn’t able to get anything done on the ground or get back to his feet for a shot at a finish, his only way of winning the fight after losing the first two rounds.

JONES BY UNANIMOUS DECISION

Sud Saming (2-0) vs Helder Dias (5-6)

After a snoozefest of a first fight, the second fight more than made up for it. Helder Dias came out swinging early and often, but was put on the mat in less than 90 seconds by Sud Saming. After loading up on a big right hand and missing, Dias was blasted to the mat by a vicious head kick from Saming at around the one minute mark of round one. After letting Dias back up to his feet, Saming delivered a huge jab to the body and then a left hook that just knocked the air out of Dias and left him unconscious before he even hit the mat. Dias was barely able to land a shot before this fight was over. It seemed like he came out ultra-aggressive and paid for it with a lot of counter shots from Saming after some very wild swings. Saming picked up his third straight win in impressive fashion and continues to climb up the ladder in Troid.

SAMING BY KO (PUNCH)

Miguel Kobe Lombard (9-6) vs Robert Mazzuca (5-2)

The standup game of Robert Mazzuca had to worry Miguel Kobe Lombard coming into this fight. Mazzuca had showcased excellent striking and power in his previous fights, while Lombard had been brutalized in some his last few fights by great strikers. Lombard was outclassed early on his feet and seemed to be content diving at the feet of Mazzuca and praying for him to fall to the mat, which didn’t quite work out so well. After over a dozen official takedown attempts, Lombard landed only one. That was at the end of round one and didn’t matter as Mazzuca brutalized him in the four minutes beforehand. In the second round, Mazzuca continued to jab away at Lombard until a few slipped by and landed flush on the head of Lombard and ended the fight for good mid-way through round two.

MAZZUCA BY KO (PUNCH)

Bang Wuzz (5-3) vs Lincoln Osiris (4-3)

After back to back striking exhibitions, perhaps we would see some real grappling and BJJ with these two fighters. In less than four minutes, Bang Wuzz was able to finally lock in the triangle and get Lincoln Osiris to tap out. The fight was very back and forth though. Both fighters managed to land takedowns and Osiris even used a reversal to improve his position to almost lock in an arm bar that would have forced Wuzz to tap. After Wuzz escaped and got on top in side control, it was Wuzz’s turn to try his submission game after a few failed attempts from Osiris. After such a back and forth affair, I would say Bang Wuzz has a lock on Submission of the Night unless something amazing happens. The fact that he was able to stave off the arm bar attempts from Osiris and follow it up with his own successful triangle is amazing, given the talent level of the two fighters on the ground.

WUZZ BY SUBMISSION

Trev Hartley (7-5-1) vs Kim II Sung (3-2)

In a fight that could certainly be a huge factor in the Fight of the Night honors, Kim II Sung pulled out a very close win over Trev Hartley. Both fighters had great moments in this fight with Hartley winning round one and Sung winning the last two rounds on all three judges’ scorecards. The first round was a very close fight with both fighters landing takedowns, but Hartley really unloaded on Sung with punch combinations at the end of the round and would have probably finished the job if the round didn’t end. In the second round, Sung kept the fight on the ground for the most part, working a kimura and later a guillotine multiple times to no avail. In the third round, both fighters were visibly gassed, but it was Sung once again being aggressive in the clinch and parlaying it into a takedown that probably locked the round and fight up for him in an impressive display of grit.

SUNG BY UNANIMOUS DECISION

Lex Layser (10-4) vs Jack Olin (7-4)

Lax Layser was certainly looking for more than being used as a ground and pound tutorial by Jack Olin. Layser was taken to the ground within ten seconds by a very nice double leg takedown from Olin. Once thetre, Olin was easily able to get into the full mount position. Once there, Olin unleashed some of the best ground and pound Troid has ever saw. Layser wasn’t able to move, much less get out of the mount of Olin. Finally after Layser was either temporarily knocked out or just ready to concede the fight, he just held his arms over his face and didn’t move, forcing the referee to call for the bell. In just 79 seconds, Olin was able to hand Layser his third straight loss by finish.

OLIN BY TKO (STRIKES)

Nate Diaz (8-8) vs Justin Hunter (4-0)

Justin Hunter has been dominant in his first four MMA contests, but he wasn’t able to quite replicate those performances against the always tough Nate Diaz. In one of the rare decision fights that never hits the mat or even the clinch, Diaz was able to stick and move against Hunter, frustrating the youngster and eventually leaving himself open to solid jabs from Diaz. Hunter struggled to land, firing a massive amount of shots to the head of Diaz that just didn’t find a home. Hunter seemed to be relying on his power by winding up with that big right hand. Diaz seemed to see it coming every time, as he countered with peppering jabs that found their home in all three rounds. Diaz also incorporated his kicks, leaving the legs of Hunter a little worse for wear and red. All three judges scored the fight 30-27 for the winner, Nate Diaz.

DIAZ BY UNANIMOUS DECISION

Paul Landen (7-2) vs Kasper Koltun (6-5)

In what we expected to be a striking war between two guys with huge power, Paul Landen reversed the script on us. Landen immedtiately landed a takedown as the first round started and managed to keep Kasper Koltun there for a while before the referee stood them up. Koltun tried to unleash his powerful right hand multiple times, but it was avoided by Landen easily. After another takedown, round one was easily a win for Landen. After picking up some early momentum from solid striking in round two, Koltun was once again taken down early in the round and this time, Landen displayed some great BJJ and attempted multiple submissions that almost forced Koltun to tap. After two great rounds, Landen once again showed his class, landing three takedowns and keeping the exhausted Koltun on the mat and unable to use his power. In an absolutely brilliant display of fighting, Landen won a unanimous decision, 30-27 on all three cards.

LANDEN BY UNANIMOUS DECISION

Pika Chu (9-3) vs Tom Hardy (9-6)

We knew Pika Chu had a lot of power coming into his debut in Troid and he certainly showcased that power against Tom Hardy. Pika Chu used a great display of boxing, including a nice combo to knock Hardy down in the opening minute of the fight. Hardy managed to roll away from Chu and get up unharmed, but almost as soon as Hardy got back into range of the right hand of Chu, he was sent back down to the mat. This time unable to get up or defend himself, the referee called for the ball with over four minutes still left in round one. Chu definitely put the rest of the middleweight division on notice with such an amazing finish and also probably locked up Knockout of the Night as well.

CHU BY KO (PUNCH)

John Doe (14-8) vs Le Muria (6-2)

After being pulverized in one round by Le Muria, John Doe practically begged for a rematch against fellow Troid newcomer, Le Muria. Curiously enough, this rematch would also be the main event of a very good fight card. I think many thought that Muria outclassed Doe in a multitude of areas, but Doe didn’t seem to care about that in the rematch. After taking a brutal shot to the eye that immediately cut him, Doe seemed to turn into a different fighter. Doe reeled off a combination that left the eye of Muria also bloody. After being the aggressor and getting the fight into the clinch, Doe brutalized his opponent with vicious elbows and effective dirty boxing before landing the fight changing blow, an uppercut from the clinch that sent Muria to the ground and Doe right on top of him until the referee stepped in. In 1:55 of action, John Doe had avenged his ugly debut loss to Muria.

DOE BY TKO (STRIKES)

Bang Ding Ow

Reporter: We are here with Bang Ding Ow who is just a few days away from another crack at Omari Akhmedov.. who just a couple of months knocked him out. Bang.. what is your strategy for this fight?

Bang: Simple, not to get knocked out. I have now learned that blocking punches with my face is not an ideal strategy or something that going forward will be acceptable to my manager.

Reporter: Is it really that simple?

Bang: Of course it is you dweeb.

Reporter: That is so not nice...

Bang: Sorry, geek-American.. is that better?

Reporter: Umm, sure, whatever... how has the training been going for this go around?

Bang: Better.. after I was able to dispatch Midgett with a quickness I was uninjured so I was back in the gym in a couple of days. I was surprised but delighted to get the rematch.

Reporter: Did you ask for the rematch?

Bang: No... I just got the call from my manager so it was out of the blue... hoping to bring a win bonus and knockout bonus back for the holidays.

Liam McGuiness (246080)

I signed to TROID on a 2 fight losing streak, but i have won my first 2 fights for the organization. Earl Grey will be my 3rd.

Old man, i respect you for stepping into the cage, but it's time to step aside and let the younger generation shine.

Hey everyone, and welcome to our preview for todays event! Analysis is brought to you by Mickey Goldmill, so I hope you enjoy his work!

Zen Yi (3-4) vs Antonio Jose De Sucre (1-1)
In our opening bout, we have two fighters making their debuts in Troid. Both fighters are under 25 years of age and are eager for their shot in the organization. Zen Yi is the older, more experienced fighter and probably also has the advantage if this fight gets to the ground. Given the track records of these two however, one would expect to see the fight take place on the feet. Antonio Jose De Sucre has a lot of power and could potentially have a career in boxing if he pursued it. Yi will have to stay on his toes with Sucre if he hopes to pick up the win. In a fight between two evenly matched competitors, one has to wonder if the edge may go to the more experienced Zen Yi.
Prediction: YI BY DECISION

Richard Villars (1-2) vs Lance Wilson (1-0)
Lance Wilson comes into Troid with the reputation as a power puncher. At just 19 years old, Wilson is a fighter who’s developed way beyond his years. In his debut, Wilson will take on Richard Villars. Villars has struggled in his first couple fights in the Troid fight organization, going 0-2 and being the victim of the Knockout of the Night in his last fight. One of the huge issues that Villars faces in this fight is weight. Lance Wilson walks around at over 260 pounds and cuts easily to 240 pounds. Villars never gets above 230 pounds even when he isn’t training according to his coaches. One thought is that Wilson could have a very tough time finding his range with the much lighter Richard Villars.
Prediction: WILSON BY TKO

Marlo Stanfield (7-2) vs Phan Benjawan (8-13)
Longtime Troid fighter, Phan Benjawan is somehow still fighting in the organization after being 2-6 in this last 8 fights. Benjawan is probably on his last legs in the sport unless he can come up with some good performances before his current contract runs out. Marlo Stanfield has made quite a name for himself with his fists so far in Troid. Currently riding a 2 fight win streak, Stanfield is an absolute menace on his feet. With all seven of his wins coming by TKO, fighters know immediately entering the cage that they have to close the distance on him. It’ll be interesting to see what Phan Benjawan decides to do in this fight.
Prediction: STANFIELD BY TKO

Sirodom Kingchanklao (11-6) vs Ode Jokinen (7-3-1)
We have two relative unknowns in the Troid organization in this 145 pound contest. Sirodom Kingchanklao won a decisive decision win over Junior Borg in his first fight. Former champion Junior Borg was a great win for the debuting Kingchanklao, but he’ll need more if he wants to climb into the title picture at 145 pounds. Known primarily as a striker, he has some pop in his striking. With the majority of his wins coming by decision, Kingchanklao is also a grinder. Ode Jokinen is making his Troid debut, but also comes in with the reputation as a grinder. With only one of his seven wins coming by way of a finish, Jokinen uses his excellent wrestling and BJJ to wear opponents down on the mat.
Prediction: JOKINEN BY DECISION

Cameron Sloan (3-0) vs Tyrell Myrell (5-1)
We have two of the biggest super heavyweights in the organization fighting it out in this contest. Cameron Sloan turned heads early in Troid with his first round TKO win over Richard Villars in the very first round in his last fight. Another 22 year old, Tyrell Myrell has also been impressive in his limited fights in Troid. With all three of his wins by TKO coming by head kicks or knees, Myrell is a muay thai fighter who can hit you from any angle with anything. This fight should stay on the feet and that should lead to one of the most exciting fights of the night between two behemoths who can hit you with anything.
Prediction: MYRELL BY TKO

Valeriy Grushevky (9-5) vs Randall Wallace (6-2)
In one of the more interesting fights on the card, Randall Wallace will be at a nearly 45 pound weight difference than his opponent. Currently fighting in heavyweight, Wallace typically weighs in at 215 pounds. While he doesn’t pack a lot of weight, Wallace packs one hell of the proverbial punch. He’s a nightmare to defend against for most heavyweights because he’s so quick and also flexible. He also loves to fire off towering head kicks. Valeriy Grushevky is a rare breed at heavyweight. With all nine of his wins coming by way of submission, he’s also a nightmare for the typical heavyweight fighter. He’ll have to be wary of the quickness of Wallace’s standup in this fight.
Prediction: GRUSHEVKY BY SUBMISSION

Forrest Dump (7-2) vs Bary Allen (7-3-1)
Don’t expect this fight to end early. In 20 combined fights, neither fighter has been finished yet. When you look at skillset, the fighters are both remarkably well rounded and even. Forrest Dump’s first three fights in Troid have all ended in decision, but by three different varieties. After winning a majority and unanimous decision to start his career, he was defeated by Lance Legstrong by split decision in an instant classic. Bary Allen has to be excited he isn’t facing Frank Damozzi this time around. After a hard fought majority draw, Damozzi defeated him by decision in the rematch. Both fighters have the skillset to compete at an elite level in the 205 pound division, but who can cash in on that potential?
Prediction: DUMP BY DECISION

Jack Bronson (10-3-1) vs Hernan Del Fuego (4-3-1)
In another heavyweight battle, we have two big guys who are incredible fighters. Jack Bronson is as well rounded of a fighter as you will find in the heavyweight division. Always a threat on the mat and on the feet, Bronson’s clinch game is unmatched by anyone. After a hard fought draw against Hernan Del Fuego, the two are back again for a rematch. The first fight was remarkably close, even though Bronson was stuffed on over a half dozen takedown attempts. The low kicks he threw were never checked by Del Fuego and arguably saved him a loss. In the rematch, Bronson will look to be far more efficient with his takedown attempts and Del Fuego will certainly be looking for the kicks from his talented opponent.
Prediction: BRONSON BY DECISION

Daisuke Takemura (7-2) vs Rony Moraes (6-1)
In the lead up to the main event, we have the classic striker vs grappler fight. Daisuke Takemura is a very talented striker who has all seven of his wins in MMA by TKO. After an impressive first round knockout of Azar Yunus in his Troid debut, Takemura is looking to showcase the power that won him a title in ECFL. A title that he was forced to vacate before leaving for the Impact organization. He has to be concerned with the submission ability of his opponent Rony Moraes. Moraes is 3-0 in Troid and has finished all 3 opponents by submission in the first round. The only losses in Takemura’s career have come by submission, so one would think he’ll be very careful to keep the fight standing.
Prediction: MORAES BY SUBMISSION

Terrence Thornton (10-2) vs Altemio Sanchez (13-10)
In the main event, we have one fighter who is on the cusp of becoming elite in the 170 pound division. Terrence Thornton has demolished his first two opponents in Troid after holding the 170 pound title in the BEEF organization. Thornton has the ability to beat you in multiple ways. He has all the tools at 25 years old and could be the future of Troid in the division. Altemio Sanchez was also a 170 pound champion at his last stop, AMS. After three straight losses, Sanchez decided to make the switch to Troid. More known as a grappler, Sanchez is very dangerous on the ground. Much like Thornton though, his strength is he doesn’t have a weakness of any kind.
PREDICTION: THORNTON BY DECISION

Time will tell if these predictions are correct, and we hope you enjoy the show put on by our 20 fearless competitors!
