Andre Hendrix is set to defend his featherweight title against the undefeated power puncher, Tomas Lindberg atop a card stacked many featherweight fights in what will be a showcase for the division tonight!

Fight 1
Andre “The Prodigy” Hendrix 5-1-0 vs Tomas “Tompa” Lindberg 3-0-0: 5 Rounds of 5 Minutes for the DFC Featherweight Championship

Hendrix will make the attempt to defend his title for the second time against a well-rounded power puncher in Lindberg, whose run of first round knockouts has surely got to give the champion pause for thought. Hendrix has one of the best ground games in the roster, will great wrestling and phenomenal BJJ skills, there is only one way that he is winning this fight: on the ground.

“Tompa” has a large reach and height advantage, and a bone crunching right hand, that could end the fight then and there if Hendrix gets caught, and while he is also a great wrestler, I feel that his lack of BJJ skills will lead to him being vulnerable to giving up his back or neck at some point and being choked out. Overall though, I think that Lindberg is by far the better standing up, and could have the ability to end it in seconds. Thig fight could really be a scorcher, but I think that Lindberg will use his physique and power to its fullest advantage, and will have his hand raised as the new featherweight champion.

Gabe T.S. Gardner’s Prediction: (W) Tomas Lindberg Round 1 (TKO/KO)

Fight 2
“The Korean Hobo” Chi Gu 3-0-0 vs Deait “Money” Shaw 6-5-0: 3 Rounds of 5 Minutes 205

One thing that is great in this sport is the characters you meet: quirky individuals whose mannerisms and interviews can be just as if not sometimes more entertaining than the fights themselves. Chi Gu is one such character, who indulges in dumpster diving and took up fighting (something he has taken naturally to) because of the freedom it offers. He is a deadly wrestler, which I feel is always the most underrated of disciplines, due to the fact it relies on fierce strength and control, and weeds out the people that just wanna punch things repeatedly. You have to be tough and strong, and Chi Gu has shown that in abundance.

He comes up against popular and experienced fighter, Deait “Money” Shaw, a fighter who adopts the philosophy of training in multiple disciplines to be prepared for any disciplines, however this more often than not ends up in making you a “jack of all trades, master of none” who when coming up against a very experienced fighter in one discipline, can get torn to pieces, which is reflected in Chi Gu’s 6-5 win loss record. Shaw needs to desperately keep this one standing up to win which unfortunately I don’t think he will be able to do.

Gabe T.S. Gardner’s Prediction: (W) Chi Gu, Round 1 (TKO/KO)

Fight 3
Derick Nice 1-0-0 v Avon “The Towers” Barksalot 3-1-0: 3 Rounds of 5 Minutes 185lbs

This middleweight fight is an intriguing one, as a fighter with arguably no ground game, whose only loss has come by submission (Barksalot) squares off against a brown belt BJJ practitioner, who is limited in skills all across the board in other categories. Larson, who beat Barksalot in “The Towers” last fight, had a vastly superior wrestling skillset than Nice has, which could have played a large part in the defeat, and it is because of this that I think that Barksalot might take this one, although keeping the fight standing is in his best interest.

Gabe T.S. Gardner’s Prediction: (W) Avon Barksalot, Round 1 (TKO/KO)

Fight 4
Rhys Crowder 1-0-0 v William “The Conquerer” Monk 1-0-0: 3 Rounds of 5 Minutes 170lbs

This prediction will be short because in my opinion it is a forgone conclusion.
I think that Monk might have been thrown to the wolves in this one, as he comes up against a terrific welterweight fighter in Crowder, and as I think that Monk is likely to attempt to out strike Crowder, he could find himself floundering on the ground very quickly.

Gabe T.S. Gardner’s Prediction: (W) Rhys Crowder, Round 1 (TKO/KO)

Fight 5
Chat “The Cat” Watts 1-1-0 v Illidian Newsto 2-0-0: 3 Rounds of 5 Minutes 145lbs

Both these fighters will be envious of the two participants in the main event, as another featherweight fight between two newcomers should be the perfect stage for both men to start the long climb up the rankings. Newsto is the favourite to win here, a talented fighter with a great ground game, and a significant height and reach advantage over many featherweights – but Watts isn’t most other fighters. A giant in the featherweight division at 6ft 1 inches, he may have a great reach advantage over most fighters, but loses a lot of muscle and resistance in exchange, looking like he’s made of sticks. While watts is well rounded, the point I made earlier about a jack of all trades style fighter once again comes into practice, and I think that Newsto has the edge here.

Gabe T.S. Gardner’s Prediction: (W) Illidian Newsto, Round 1 (SUB)

Fight 6
“Neck Break Orchestra” Joe Reealopubo 2-1-0 v Dmitry Muratov 4-4-0: 3 Rounds of 5 Minutes 145lbs

Reealopubo needs to get back into title contention, and he can do that by finishing the last title challenger in convincing fashion. Muratov, (who is certainly a talented fighter but I did not see him really testing Hendrix in the least) has a chance to make an example of a highly ranked and skilled featherweight fighter in Muay Thai practitioner Reealopubo, if he can get him to the ground and avoid the clinch. I think however, both fighters are good enough to beat eachother, but not the current champion Hendrix, that said I think Reealopubo has more to give and expect him to get the KO victory.

Gabe T.S. Gardner’s Prediction: (W) Reealopubo, Round 1 (TKO/KO)

Fight 7
Kaos “SS” Coming 5-1-0 v Mark Gregory 1-1-1: 3 Rounds of 5 Minutes 145lbs

The fourth and final featherweight fight (try saying that four times fast) is Coming v Gregory, two featherweight who I feel are often overlooked in the division. Coming, won a 16 man tournament before making his DFC debut at Mayhem 1, but unfortunately came up short against Dada Buckeye, losing via TKO in the second round. He bounced back in a fight outside the promotion, winning a fight with a rear naked choke in round 1, and giving DFC another reason to take a look at him.

Gregory has an unorthodox record, going the distance in all three fights, with the results getting progressively worse (Won his debut, drew his next fight and losing by decision in fight no. 3) The striking based fighter needs to prove he belongs in DFC and lets hope third times the charm, and he finally wins a fight in the promotion, or he could find his way down the rankings, or worse – out the door.

I think that Kaos is an underrated submission specialist, and will take full advantage of that against Gregory, and will submit the more stand-up based fighter in round one.

Gabe T.S. Gardner’s Prediction: (W) Kaos Coming, Round 1 (SUB)

Fight 8
Lucas Niguez 1-1-0 v Tyrion “The Dwarf” Lannister 0-0-0: 3 Rounds of 5 Minutes 135lbs

Lucas Niguez better hope he can build off of his DFC debut victory over Shaun Johnson at Mayhem 3, as he faces a debutant in the sport in Lannister – who despite being named the dwarf is taller than his opponent tonight, although I expect that is a reference to the character from popular fantasy series “Game of Thrones” with whom he coincidently shares the same name (although the book was published before he was born, so perhaps his mother was a big fan…. Who can say) Lannister’s camp has been focussed mainly of striking, or so I have heard and supposedly has a great stand-up game that he will want to use to full effect. Given that Niguez is not a specialist in any area (although I believe I called him out for that in his debut and predicted he would lose) I think that he could submit the debuting fighter, but that the reach advantage of Lannister combined with his boxing ability, will be too much, and he will get knocked out somewhere in the second round.

Gabe T.S. Gardner’s Prediction: (W) Tyrion Lannister, Round 2 (TKO/KO)

Fight 9
Christopher “Man Of Steel” Reid 0-1-0 v Jordan “Beast Man” Clarkson 1-1-0: 3 Rounds of 5 Minutes 155lbs

This is a tough fight to call, but taking into consideration how both fighters will be desperate to generate momentum in what is a stacked division. Both are extremely talented strikers,, with Reid having great MT and boxing ability, and Clarkson being a Muay Thai expert, this fight can only end with someone getting KTFO. However, neither fighter has actually scored a KO victory yet, with Reid losing his debut in what I would call an upset, and with Clarkson winning one fight via decision and getting KO’d in the next. Both fighters need to show what they are capable of, and I think that fighter will be Clarkson. Sure Reid is a far superior boxer, and is also great at Muay Thai, but that isn’t the same as saying a boxer and a Muay Thai Kickboxer will be fighting Clarkson at the same time – he is still one man against one man, and a man who I think is just more talented.

Gabe T.S. Gardner’s Prediction: (W) Jordan Clarkson, Round 1 (TKO/KO)

Fight 10
Hugo Smith 0-0-0 v Carl “The Hour Glass” Sands 0-0-0: 3 Rounds of 5 Minutes 265lbs

This should be a good contest to warm the crowd up, as two debuting young heavyweights will look to make their name in the opening contest of a great card. Smith has the obvious height advantage standing at 7. FEET. TALL. At that height, surely your mobility must be compromised but your reach and punching power has to be brutal. Both fighters are skilled strikers from what I have heard, so expect this fight to be fought standing up and ending lying down. There is nothing really to go on here except for the obvious physical advantage of Smith, and that has got to play a big factor, so he is my pick for the first fight of the night.

Gabe T.S. Gardner’s Prediction: (W) Hugo Smith, Round 1 (TKO/KO)

Phew! That is one impressive card tonight, in what could be the greatest event DFC has held to date (a record recently broken multiple times over) this is an absolutely must see event from the rising stars in the world of MMA. Mayhem 7: DO NOT MISS IT!

DFC: Sin City 1 (23 July 2016 The Palmtree, Las Vegas) Preview and Predictions Written by Gabe T.S. Gardner (112290)

To bet on these fights, use Knockout Bets

Sponsored by Bad Company fight wear.

The inaugural DFC: Sin City event will be headlined by a huge fight for the DFC Middleweight title between Jon Laston and Harley Umbuku, to establish the first ever holder of that title in the organisation. The rest of the card is stacked including a monster clash at heavyweight when Artur the Axe takes on Hinrik Leifsson.

Fight 1

Scott Woo Who 2-0-0 vs Jon Junior Lewis 1-2-0: 3 Rounds of 5 Minutes 185lbs

You can bet a lot of fighters on the card tonight will be eagerly monitoring the main event of the evening, as four other bouts at middleweight have been scheduled- and Jon Lewis and Scott Who will be no exceptions.

Who is coming in with a lot of momentum and confidence, having finished his first two fights inside a combined time of 2 minutes and 36 seconds, one via KO and one by Submission, showing that he has a versatile arsenal and is adequately prepared for a less diverse fighter in Lewis, whose boxing ability is incredibly well developed, is likely to very quickly realise against Woo Who that this is VERY different from a boxing match.

Unless Lewis can somehow keep this fight standing up, he will get taken out and taken out early by the Australian.

Gabe T.S. Gardners Prediction: (W) Scott Who, Round 1 (TKO/KO)

Fight 2

Johnny Vivas 2-3-0 vs Tommy Takedown Teague 2-0-0: 3 Rounds of 5 Minutes 205lbs

This light heavyweight fight is liable to resemble more of an amateur wrestling match than a mixed martial arts affair as two men who are extensively trained in this style are set to battle it out- where it is more than certain the majority of this one will be fought on the ground.

The size advantage of Teague will give him the edge here, and looking upon their last fights I pick him out to be the more composed fighter, less likely to make disastrous errors in the cage. Due to this composure, I think Teague will edge this one by decision, if V ivas wants to avoid this, he will want to rain down a thunderstorm of strikes on the ground, as if the fight drags on it will become harder for him to impose himself.

Gabe T.S. Gardners Prediction: (W) Tommy Takedown Teague, Round 3 (SD/UD)

Fight 3

Alexander The Great Dippe 0-1-0 v Timmy White Jones 1-1-0: 3 Rounds of 5 Minutes 185lbs

The Great will have to earn his moniker, having suffered quick defeat in his debut fight against Tommy Gunner. Jones, conversely overcame his opponent in his debut fight with relative ease, smothering his opponent in punches and sending him out in the first round.

Dippe will want to keep this fight standing up to stand a chance, but I think he is too readily outmatched. Assuming that Jones is fit and ready, I think he will demonstrate his class and finish Dippe in the first round.

Gabe T.S. Gardners Prediction: (W) Timmy Jones, Round 1 (TKO/KO)

Fight 4

Adonis Creed Creed 1-0-0 v Dean Wesson 2-1-0: 3 Rounds of 5 Minutes 205lbs

This fight at light heavyweight will see a thrilling up and comer in Adonis Creed, who scorched his opponent out in FIVE seconds in his debut, overwhelming him in a whirlwind of strikes immediately. While Wesson will be wary of the ferocious power of his opponent, I believe that his wide ranging and superior skillset will see him through this one, and that he may be able to catch Creed off guard and choke him out.

Gabe T.S. Gardners Prediction: (W) Dean Wesson, Round 1 (SUB)

Fight 5

Uriah Money Hall 1-0-0 v Renato The Talent Sanches 1-0-0: 3 Rounds of 5 Minutes 185lbs

Two middleweights are scheduled to make their middleweight debut here as Money Hall locks horns with The Talent Sanches. Both fighters will look to use their strong skillset in Muay Thai to the fullest here, as they look to establish themselves here in the landscape of DFC Las Vegas as quickly as possible.

Other qualities however may determine the result of this fight. Sanches is ranked as a purple belt in BJJ, whereas Hall is well rounded in amateur wrestling. In my opinion I think Sanches just edges Hall in terms of quality here, but the fight could go either way.

Gabe T.S. Gardners Prediction: (W) Renato Sanches, Round 1 (SUB)

Fight 6

Richie H+ Chaids 1-0-0 v Prince Steve Wadir 0-1-0: 3 Rounds of 5 Minutes 205lbs

This fight at light heavyweight for me can only go one way, while the teenager Wadir is a highly talented BJJ practitioner, Chaids game is just too well rounded for the youngster to match up against, and he might send him crashing out early.

Gabe T.S. Gardners Prediction: (W) Richie H+ Chaids, Round 1 (TKO/KO)

Fight 7

Combat Device 2-1-0 v Horacio Martins 1-0-0: 3 Rounds of 5 Minutes 185lbs

Martins could be a strong contender for this bout after an impressive recent showing against Lyoto Destroyer, where he submitted him within the round making his professional debut. I however feel the incredibly strong striking game of Combat Devise will be too overwhelming for him.

If Martins is to have a chance, he needs to immediately try and control the fight on the ground, where Device has looked hopeless- its with his hands and feet where the danger lies. That said I take Device to win this early.

Gabe T.S. Gardners Prediction: (W) Combat Device, Round 1 (TKO/KO)

Fight 8

Tim The German Arntz 0-1-0 v Robb King Stark 1-0-0: 3 Rounds of 5 Minutes 205lbs

The German takes on King Stark at light heavyweight, in what for me is the fight I am intrigued by most. Arntz is a terrific boxer and wrestler, but suffered a defeat in his first bout that exposed a few chinks in his armour. Stark on the other hand is an extremely well rounded fighter, and could be looking to use his wrestling and BJJ ability to win the fight on the ground, and avoid trading blows with the superior boxer.

I think if Stark adopts this strategy, then he should be able to win this in the first round, but he needs to come into this with a solid game plan in place.

Gabe T.S. Gardners Prediction: (W) Robb Stark, Round 1 (SUB)

Fight 9

Artur The Axe 5-2-0 v Hinrik The Ice-Giant Leifsson 2-0-0: 3 Rounds of 5 265lbs

The only fight on the card not scheduled for middleweight or light heavyweight, The Axe vs The Ice-Giant is set to see two heavy strikers duke it out, in a fight that showcase two of the most high profile contenders in the division.

Both men primarily employ Muay Thai clinch striking techniques, but I feel as though The Axe has the edge there, as well as being far the superior boxer. Leifsson does have the ground control advantage, but I doubt his ability to employ this in his gameplan and think that he will go into this fight hands raised ready for a war rather than trying to take this one to the ground.

Despite the reach advantage, I believe The Axe has two much for the man from Iceland, and will be the first man to test Leifssons chin, primarily by knocking him out in the first or second round.

Gabe T.S. Gardners Prediction: (W) Artur The Axe, Round 1 (TKO/KO)

Fight 10

John Icon Laston 5-1-0 v Harley Umbuku 2-0-0: 3 Rounds of 5 Minutes for the Middleweight title

The main event of the evening will be for the Middleweight championship as John Icon Laston against Harley Umbuku. Laston is riding a four win KO streak with all victories coming inside the first round, and his opponent will be forced to be wary of this brutal punching power. Umbuku fights in a style that can be described as a Muay Thai Brazilian Jiu Jitsu hybrid, and has successfully submitted both of his two opponents to get this far.

Looking over their past fights, I can only see one man winning this one, and as Umbuku never dominated the fights he won, but usually turned a position against other grapplers or people that tried to control him on the ground against themselves, I think he will struggle against a pure puncher like Laston.

I think that after a stoppage in the first round, Lastons hand will be raised as the new, and inaugural DFC Middleweight champion.

Gabe T.S. Gardners Prediction: (W) John Laston, Round 1 (TKO/KO)

This is a card very stacked towards the end of the weight divisions, with 5 middleweight, 4 light heavyweight and 1 heavyweight fights on the card and that is a lot of power, speed and skill that will be lighting up The Palmtree in Las Vegas, NV on the 23rd of July. With a huge title fight scheduled, this event will be one to remember.

DFC PODCAST 1

Welcome to the first ever episode of DFC podcast! I am your host with the most DJ Toast! I will be coming to you with a short weekly report of what's going on in Dissolution Fighting Champion. Now, I need to get a few things out in the universe before I start:

1.)

This is the unofficial podcast of DFC. I started this podcast because I love DFC, not because I am getting paid by DFC. With that said, I will say what I want when I want. Like at times I will get off topic.

For instance, fuck bottled water! Like why would I pay $3 for some free ass water!? My girlfriend be spending about $150 a month on that shit! I really don't see the difference in taste! All she is doing is paying for a brand!

2)

I will say positive and negative comments about ALL of you fighters. So you have two options, either run with it or act all butt hurt about it. In the end it doesn't effect me how you feel. I am a DJ not a fighter so it's not like I am going to get in the cage with you. With that said, Steven Klopp is a bitch. Why the fuck are you even signed to DFC bro!? It like when I was in high school sitting beside the kid who failed twice. He was bigger than me, had a deeper voice than me, and had more facial hair. But it didn't mean much when he was matched with kids his age. Actually, he was the butt of the joke with kids his age. I was surfing the web and loved HorseWhisper comments about it.

I don't issue very many downvotes, but in this instance I opted to. Your fighter is a 282k fighter that has been accidentally introduced into a 290k+ organization, and you're still talking shit. That's like having Jay down at the preschool screaming "I'LL FIGHT ALL YOU BITCHES, ONE AT A TIME!"

Edit: Sorry, I meant "all U bitches"

I couldn't have said it better HorseWhisper. Speaking of HorseWhisper, am I the only one who wonders how he got his name!?

3.)

Last but not least, I will be having guest DFC fighters and managers on my show daily. It freshes things up and you don't have to be so bored hearing me talk shit all the time. With that said, I would like to introduce a good friend of mine and our very first guest Leslie Smith!

Leslie Smith:

thank you for having me.

DJ Toast:

Thank you for stopping by, I know you are a busy manager with a lot of your fighters fighting in different countries. For those who don't know, Leslie is the manager for Dion "Brain Freeze" Jones and Antonio Mr. Dangerous" Brown. Both fighters had a successful debut with DFC and are now 2-0. Is it true that they are cousins?

Leslie:

Yes, they are both cousins. You couldn't really tell by there personalities though. Dion is very introverted and does not like being in the public often. He just trains, eat, and sleep. He was actually suppose to come on the show with me but he opted out and decided to stay in the hotel. Antonio, the younger of the two, loves being in the spotlight. If there is a camera around best believe that Antonio is going to cause chaos. When they are together though, they really balance each other out.

Toast:

Wow it seem like they got some Ying and Yang thing going on lol. So Dion Jones has a rematch tomorrow against Hair Kunwar. There last fight was very close. If Iam correct, that was the longest timed decision made in DFC. There is speculation that you paid the judges off to make the decision go Dion way. Can you shed any light on the situation?

Leslie:

Look people are always going to have stories about me. I am a successful female manager in MMA. People will always try to knock my success in anyway. Now there are pictures of me paying the commissioners and USADA circulating on the internet that would bring people to believe I paid the judges off but believe me it is just a miss understanding.I came late to Dion Jones bout and was rushing to my seat. I forgot I owed USADA a hefty amount of money for a failed tests by another one of my fighters. A representative of theirs said I would have to pay them before I can take my seat. I was escorted to the front of the arena and paid the commissioners who were seated right behind the Judges. It was truly a misunderstanding.

DJ Toast:

Sounds a little fishy to me as well but what do I know. Anyway I have a just a few more questions before you leave. How does Dion plan to win tomorrow?

Leslie Smith:

First round Knockout so make sure you get there early.

DJ Toast:

Can we have you back on the show for the post fight? It would be short so it will not take up your busy schedule.

Leslie:

It depends but more than likely yes. I might Even drag Dion here as well.

DJ Toast:

Well I am going to hold you to that. If anyone wants to be part of the show just shoot me an email or if you want my attention just write me a mean tweet. Don't you just love a mean tweet?

That is all for the first show. It wasn't the most exciting but it will pick up as we go. What do you want to see next? Champ vs champ rap battle? Top 10 list of worst fighters in DFC? DFC fighters roasting DFC fighters? DJ Toast reads mean tweets live? The choices are unlimited.

Enjoy your weekend fighters. I will definitely be watching DFC Sin City 6 and see if someone can stop the hype train called Hugh Jaskok. Don't blink your eyes, this will be a fast match! As always, from the East to the West coast make sure you tune in to DJ Toast!

Antonio Brown:

Honestly, I don't give two fucks how old you are! I thought it was a big difference in skill too hearing all this commotion, but damn You not even that good to be honest lol. You are just a ground and pounder. Nothing more nothing less. You got good takedowns and good punching technique but when you go against a grappler you don't know what to do lol. Bring your talents to the Lightweight division and I promise I will make that ass cry! Unlike the featherweight division, It's no bitching allowed in the lightweight division!

Excellent Podcast DJ Toast! I loved it, and feel free to get wild with it in your future episodes. I hope you submit that to the Tycoon Times because that was entertaining stuff right there!

To Hovhannes aka Don King, I wish the best of luck to Klopp and hopefully he can play with people his own age. I look forward to seeing what Marco can do, but DFC fighters are ruthless! Most finish their fights or get knocked out/tap out in the first round. Marco is going to have some challenging opponents as he tries to rise the ranks at DFC.

T-minus 2 hours until DFC Mayhem 7 is under way!

Excellent podcast! a great addition to the org and loved it all :D although knowing Hari Kunwar like I do, I doubt that he likes being called 'Hair', he's a short fuse that one XD

Hope we get to see more of it next week.
