KOFC 1 - First Blood Preview
By Owen Peterson

For the Main Event of the night we have a debut fight for both fighters. Freddy “Freight Train” Fernandez an all-around fighter skilled in all aspects and the boxer Miguel Alvarado, Alvarado also has competent wrestling.

Prediction: In my limited experience all around fighters don’t fare as well as specialist at a young age so my money is on Miguel Alvarado.

In the Co-Main Event we have 21 year old BK Returns vs 25 year old Jose “Scarface” Aldo. Aldo having a well-developed ground game with BK having a competent Boxing, but does BK have enough wrestling experience to keep this fight off the ground?

Prediction: Jose Aldo gets BK to the ground and gets a submission

Fight 3 is the Battle of the Diaz - the wrestler Neil “The Real Deal” Diaz facing the wrestler Im “Not Surprised” Diaz. Both fighters are making their MMA Debut.

Prediction: Flip a coin, good luck!

Battle numero Cinco is another debut bout between two Muay Thai fighters. The 18 year old “Big Bad” Voodoo Daddy and the 18 year old Jules “B A M F” Winnfield Jr.

Prediction: yeah get the coin out not much to go on yet, good luck!

Fight 6 a light heavyweight battle with Ken Mcfly pitted against Larry Glanville. Mcfly has some BJJ experience against a pure wrestling dynamo Glanville.

Prediction: My money is on Glanville for this one, Mcfly has some BJJ but I think Glanville will defend and get a decision

We have a heavyweight bout for fight 7 with Joey Cloves vs Sriracha Smiff. Both all-around decent young fighters but the Hot Sauce Sriracha has the BJJ edge that may just overtake the notes of the Cloves in the mixing bowl.

Prediction: Sriracha gets the submission

Welterweight brawl in our 8th fight of the night debuting Horatius “One Eye” Cocles and 1 loss Joe Cain. Now Cain comes in with well-trained Boxing game and the One Eye is a wrestling king. Can Cocles stand toe to toe with Joe?

Prediction: Cocles gets the fight to the ground and gets in some GNP

Ok a Middleweight bout with two debut fighters is on the card for fight 9 - the Muay Thai specialist Yue “The Patriot” Fei fighting Robert Garcia. Garcia has an all-around game.

Prediction: Fei with a TKO (Strikes) again all around guy’s I give no love

For our final bout we have two Welterweight fighters - Andrae “Baller” Bryant a well versed fighter pitted against an almost equally well versed fighter Claudio “Bullseye” Rodrigues.

Prediction: Well, seeing that Rodrigues is coming into the fight almost out of energy Bryant should have an easy win.

KOFC-1 First Blood Review

KOFC-1 is in the books and we had some great bouts.

1st Undercard fight between two Welterweights, both Bryant and Rodrigues have an all around set of skills but the BJJ of Rodrigues prevailed.

Prediction: Well seeing that Rodrigues is coming into the fight almost out of energy Bryant should have an easy win

Result: Rodgrigues gets a 1st round submission by Rear Naked Choke. What do I know!

Second bout between Fei and Garcia was fast and furious. Fei’s striking skills were too much for Garcia

Prediction: Fei with a TKO (Strikes) again all around guy’s I give no love

Result: Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Yue Fei! Close enough I’ll take it!

For the Third contest of the night we had a clinch battle between Cocles and Cain. Cocles dominated the entire fight, but I was very impressed and Cain’s chin. The dude took a beating and lasted into the 3rd round!

Prediction: Cocles gets the fight to the ground and gets in some GNP

Result: Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Horatius Cocles! Not with GNP all in the clinch, but give it up for the Fight of the Night folks!

Fight number four was a Heavyweight bout between Sriracha Smiff and Joey Cloves. It didn’t take long for Sriracha Smiff to submit Joey with a painful looking armbar.

Prediction: Sriracha gets the submission

Result: Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Sriracha Smiff! Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!

The fifth battle of the night between Mcfly and Glanville was spent almost entirely on the mat. Although Mcfly was able to get a couple reversals and turn the table on Larry, Larry had the ground and pound mojo and TKO’s Ken Mcfly!

Prediction: My money is on Glanville for this one, Mcfly has some BJJ but I think Glanville will defend and get a decision

Result: Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Larry Glanville! At least I got the fighter correct!

Bout six happend so fast it didn’t even get a preview! A middleweight fight between Jimmy “Jinky” Johnstone and Kassim “The Albino” Magufuli I V.

Don’t blink folks!

Result: Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jimmy Johnstone! Jimmy received Sub of the Night for his wicked fast Kimura!

We had an all out brawl for our seventh joust of the evening. Fight like this get me pumped! Voodoo Daddy and Jules Winnfield Jr stood toe to toe and tested each others chin.

Prediction: yeah get the coin out not much to go on yet, good luck!

Result: Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Jules Winnfield Jr! Not one takedown attempt or clinch attempt from either fighter!

The Battle of the Diaz did not disappoint! Fight eight was Im Diaz pitted against Neil Diaz that went to the judges for a decision.

Prediction: Flip a coin, good luck!

Result: In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Im Diaz! Wow and absolute brawl between two fighters!

Jose Aldo and BK Returns debut fight for KOFC was probably the most discussed fight of the night. BK announcing his impending domination of the 170lb division.

Prediction: Jose Aldo gets BK to the ground and gets a submission

Result: Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Jose Aldo! BK seemed not to respect Aldo’s submission ability but announced to his fans after the fight “Thanks for coming out party's on me.”

In the main event of the evening we have our KO of the night! Freddy “Freight Train” Fernandez against Miguel Alvarado. The roar of the crowd was deafening as this fight lasted all of 28 seconds, a whirlwind of action from alvarado had Fernandez seeing stars.

Prediction: In my limited experience all around fighters don’t fair as well as specialist at a young age so my money is on Miguel Alvarado.

Result: Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Miguel Alvarado! Alvarado received KO of the night!

KOFC-2 Second Chances Preview

Our second event here at Knockout FC and we are excited to get underway.

The first bout of the night is with a couple of youngsters both making their KOFC debut, the all around skilled Stiles Stilinski paired with a Muay Thai master Ted “Cereal Killer” Bundy.

Prediction: Cereal Killer gets his first victim in KOFC, but he will need to avoid Stilinski’s ground game. Bundy by KO

Fight number two between “The Triple Agent” Yun Won Hyang and Jake “The Snake” Norris. Jake has an all around skill set and will have to fend off Hyang’s wonderful Muay Thai skills.

Prediction: Jake “The Snake” will have a hard time getting the anaconda on the elusive Yun Won Hyang. Hyang’s Muay Thai will be looking for a KO.

The third contest of the night pits two 18 year old fighters, a BJJ master Michael Henry against the universal skillset of Danny “The Demon” Underwood.

Prediction: Underwood ends up under Michael Henry and Henry gets the tap out. Henry by submission.

Contest four introduces a couple of 25 year old fighters to the MMA life and to KOFC. Kickin Rad with strong Boxing and Wrestling skills against the Brown belt of Bradley Paul.

Prediction: A tough call for me but I think Kickin Rad has enough wrestling experience to hold off Bradley and get a KO.

Next fight is another debut bout between two 25 year old fighters. Jackie Facon with strong Muay Thai and wrestling entering the cage against the boxer Andrew “Mayhem” Martin.

Prediction: Flip a coin, no gut feeling on this one.

The next undercard bout pairs another set of 25 year olds making their KOFC debut. Alex “El Daddy” Castro’s competent boxing and wrestling versus the wrestling dynamo Andy “Hammer” Anderson.

Prediction: Do I take the “Hammer” by decision or “El Daddy” by KO, ask the magic eight ball that question?!

For the seventh match of the night we have two more 25 year old fighters in their first KOFC fight. A well versed Henry “Hezza” Morris fighting the amateur boxer Stanley Messie.

Prediction: Messie by KO, Hezza will have a tough time with Stanely.

The last undercard bout of the night looks like it will be a good fight. We have Charlesr “Fracture” Weinstock Jr standing toe to toe with Bjorn “The Fearless” Ragnarsson. Both fighters are well skill Muay Thai wrestlers, so I think this fight has Knockout FC written all over it.

Prediction: Don’t bet the farm on it but I will take Charlesr to “Fracture” “The Fearless”. And no I didn’t spell Charlesr’s name wrong!

Our Co-Main event of the evening debut’s a striker Johny Tucon against the boxer Daniel Wyatt. Both making their MMA and KOFC debut’s.

Prediction: I’ll take Wyatt with a KO, not sure why.

And now, the Main Event we bring you two fighters both 1 and 0 in their MMA careers and debuting for KOFC tonight. Johnny “Hollywood” Cage brings respectable boxing skills and a blue belt in BJJ. A Korean Joon Woo Yang showcases strong Boxing skills and a Superb wrestling prowess.

Prediction: Johnny “Hollywood” gets knocked out by Yang in the 2nd round!

Enjoy!

KOFC 2 - Second Chances Review

Thanks to the fighters and everyone to help us put on our 2nd great event. KOFC 2 was full of finishes and that is what we like to see!

Undercard Bouts

Our first fight of the night between Stiles Stilinski and Ted “Cereal Killer” Bundy did not disappoint! Bundy’s superior Muay Thai shined through to secure Ted’s first victim in KOFC.

Prediction: Cereal Killer gets his first victim in KOFC, but he will need to avoid Stilinski’s ground game. Bundy by KO

Result: Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Ted Bundy!

Ted Bundy thanked the fans post fight for their support.

The next bout of the evening paired a couple of Heavyweights Kickin Rad against Bradley Paul, Paul made short work of his opponent securing a quick takedown!

Prediction: A tough call for me but I think Kickin Rad has enough wrestling experience to hold off Bradley and get a KO.

Result: Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Bradley Paul!

The next contest pitted two 25 year old fighters, both making their debut, Jackie Facon versus Andrew “Mayhem” Martin. Sorry folks snooze fest of the evening, both fighters seemed happy to hug, cuddle and roll around making little attempt to score significant strikes or get a submission.

Prediction: Flip a coin, no gut feeling on this one.

Result: In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Andrew Martin!

Our Fight of the Night award winners were up next. Both fighters wanted to display ground game dominance and both exerted everything they had with GNP and sub attempts to get a finish! Alex “El Daddy” Castro could not hold off Andy “Hammer” Anderson.

Prediction: Do I take the “Hammer” by decision or “El Daddy” by KO, ask the magic eight ball that question?!

Result: Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Andy Anderson!

The next undercard battle featured Henry “Hezza” Morris facing Stanley Messie. Messie absolutely dominated from the opening bell and the crowd loved it!

Prediction: Messie by KO, Hezza will have a tough time with Stanely.

Result: Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Stanley Messie!

In his post fight interview, Stanley Messie started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.

The last undercard fight of the evening produced and first round TKO by the aptly named Charlesr “Fracture” Weinstock JR on Bjorn “The Fearless” Ragnarsson. Ragnarsson could not put up enough defense to convince the referee that he could withstand the relentless Weinstock.

Prediction: Don’t bet the farm on it but I will take Charlesr to “Fracture” “The Fearless”. And no I didn’t spell Charlesr’s name wrong!

Result: Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Charlesr Weinstock Jr!

Bjorn Ragnarsson was interviewed post fight and said 'Valhalla awaits me'.

Co-Main Event

The Co-Main Event was fast and furious, both fighters came out to put the other down. The granite chin and relentless hammering of Daniel Wyatt prevailed over Johny Tucon.

Prediction: I’ll take Wyatt with a KO, not sury why.

Result: Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Daniel Wyatt!

Main Event

And in the Main Event of the evening featuring Johnny “Hollywood” Cage and Joon Woo Yang produced an explosion of fireworks but don’t blink Hollywood’s fire burned out quickly. Yang’s boxing was too much for Johnny to handle!

Prediction: Johnny “Hollywood” gets knocked out by Yang in the 2nd round!

Result: Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Joon Woo Yang!

Please tune into our next event next Saturday September 24th our Main Event featuring William “Braveheart” Wallace facing “Snoop Dogg” Calvin Broadus.

And again thanks for a great event!

KOFC-7 is our biggest event yet, four title fights! October 22nd at The Underground in Vegas. Five ten minute rounds to get the best chance for a finish.

Undercard Bouts

The first bout of the night between Arlovsky and Dan McAdams. Arlovsky is making his MMA

debut with a good wrestling background. McAdams in his first fight got rocked in the second round he is looking to bounce back and have a good night.

Prediction: I’ll give Arlovsky the nod because of his vastly superior wrestling, but don’t bet the farm on it.

Fight number two pits “The Triple Agent” against “Big Bad” Voodoo Daddy. This looks like it will be a good Muay Thai battle, both fighters well versed. Hopefully Hyang shows up and gives Voodoo a good show.

Prediction: Voodoo gets my vote he has the versatility to take the fight to the ground if need be.

The next undercard fight is a couple of strikers looking for their first win in KOFC. Calvin Broadus and Luke Rockhold.

Prediction: Calvin looks like the hungrier fighter and gets the nod.

The next contest pairs a couple of boxers Andrew “Mayhem” Martin with Ronn “The Tea Bag” Fuzzynuts JR. Martin won his first fight by decision and Fuzzynuts lost his by decision. I expect both fighters to come out looking for a finish.

Prediction: “Mayhem” gets a KO in the 2nd round.

Next on the card we have a Jui Jitsu battle. Bradley Paul faces Brazilian Jiujitsu, both fighters have a brown belt in BJJ and not much striking.

Prediction: Paul gets a win by submission, he has an impressive 33 second submission win under his belt.

The last undercard fight of the night has two impressive boxers ready to stand toe to toe. “Triple G” Golovkin stands against “Pegasus” Omega. Both fighters have outstanding boxing skills.

Prediction: Golovkin has two KO’s under his belt and is hungry for a 3rd.

Title Fights

265lb title fight has undefeated Rampage Jackson looking to gain the belt against a 1-1 Gavriil Shalyapin. Rampage has two first round KO’s in his first fights and is the clear favorite.

Prediction: Rampage Jackson KO in the 1st

155lb title fight with Alexandre "Homem De Deus" Galvao against Johny Tucon. Galvao a clear favorite in this matchup.

Prediction: Galvao first round submission

170lb title bout with both fighters starting their careers 1-0. Harlem "The Beast" Nazaryan a BJJ expert paired against a boxer Jimmy Pantera.

Prediction: Pantera has very good wrestling and should be able to defend the takedowns. Pantera 3rd round KO

205lb title bout will be the granddaddy of tonight. Attila The Hun with great Muay Thai against a boxing wrestler in Jamal Lyon. Both fighters are undefeated and hungry for a belt.

Prediction: Lyon 1st round KO

KOFC 9 - Dzhumagaliev vs Dos Santos is coming at you live on 11-5-16 from the Palmtree in Las Vegas. KOFC 9 boasts a pair of 155lb title eliminator matches and a main event superfight that is sure to please the fans and leave them asking for more!

In the first title eliminator match, Can Crusher (4-0) faces Gennady Golovkin (3-1). Can Crusher is a knockout artist for the most part, although his most recent fight went to a 15 minute decision. Still 4-0 with 3 (T)KOs is not too shabby. All 3 of Golovkin's wins have come by way of (T)KO as well, so there are sure to be fireworks in this matchup!

In our Co-Main Event, and 2nd title eliminator match, Korean "KO" Superboy Jr. (4-0, with 4 (T)KOs) faces Daniel Wyatt (2-0 with 2 (T)KOs). Both fighters have looked unstoppable up to this point. These guys are sure to stand and bang, and I predict someone is going to get KTFO'd!

Whichever 155er comes out of this event with the most hype+pop will get the next title shot vs inaugural champion Alexandre Galvao. Galvao is an undefeated submission artist who will be an absolute nightmare for whichever stand-and-banger wins the unlucky distinction of facing him.

Our main event of the evening is an Unrestricted ID, openweight superfight featuring Nikolai Dzhumagaliev vs Oscar Dos Santos. Dhumagaliev is the more experienced fighter, with a record of 31-17-1. His last 4 fights have been losses though, so he needs a win here bad to rejuvenate his career. Dzhumagaliev likes to knock people out - we'll see if he can do it to Dos Santos. Oscar Dos Santos has a record of 12-15 with 6 (T)KOs and 6 decisions. Despite all of the differences between these 2 fighters, it appears to be a fairly even matchup. Will Dzhumagaliev get the KO, or will Dos Santos grind out a decision??? Who knows? Anything can happen in this wonderful wacky world of MMA.

Big props to Alex Omega for making the awesome event poster. The shortening of Dzhumagaliev's name to Dzhum was due to a limited # of characters in the official event name, not Alex's fault. He's a pro and I hope he'll stick around and make more awesome posters for us.
