XxxtremeT13
Just trying to make sure of something before I do it: If I have a fighter signed to lets say the 170 division and come fight time he can only cut to 173...will he automatically get an NC for weight...or is there like a 5lb buffer that takes place (where saunas come in to play from gyms)? Cobra7
They give an extra hour or 2 I think (I dont remember which) for a fighter to make weight. I dont know sauna weight loss but I think it would be possible to make 170 depending on energy (if I'm correct about this). After that time window if said fighter still cant make weight then it is a NC
JB90
Sure they are allowed to fight at 171 ????
XxxtremeT13
I guess I haven't really gotten an answer yet.....Just really unsure if this situation is where the sauna comes into play? More clear example I'm curious about: I want to move a fighter from 185 to 170...currently with 100% rest he can cut to 174.5, if I can get him to take weight loss supplement to get to the 170 mark that will be ideal, but in the meantime if he were to take a fight at not yet able to make 170, would he likely be fine with the use of sauna feature? duphus
They can NOT cut more weight then what is shown on the fighter page. If they need to lose that last 5 pounds it shows they can cut, then they use the sauna. Example fighter A = 211# can cut to 191.4#, then he will NOT use the sauna to cut to 205 as he can cut to 196.4# without sauna. Example fighter B = 221# can cut to 201.0, then he will use the sauna to cut to 205 as he can only cut to 206.0# without sauna. If you gym doesn't have one then he will go to the closest gym that does and pay to use it there. I don't remember how much over you can be and the fight still happen, it's either 1# or 2# IIRC
f2fkoh
I've dont remember exactly but I think it will eat up your energy as well. So you will lose most likely. Just dont take a fight until you are weight goes up, or wait until your contract is up then switch over.
