BB Code to Companies news?

Hello!

First. I have kind of bad english, so try to ignore my mistakes.

But, how about allowing of use of bb code in companies news? So we, the company owners, could personalize them.

Since advertising of own company is a bit hard, maybe we could try to get more customers by having an attractive (for example gym's) frontpage?

Currently company owners can only concentrate on logos. I personally think, that the visual side of company is very important. (I know that there are other guys thinking the same too.)

Of course. There should be also some kind of rules. Like not to use too huge font (<40) or just way too ugly pictures :D

I'm going to demonstrate now.. I'm using my gym as a example now.

And how it would look like (in my opinion, of course using an image is just a one option)

(I made those images in just couple of minutes with an Adobe Photoshop...)

That is a pretty good idea, I'll admit.

What really amazes me: Everyone on this forum who starts a message with "Sorry for my bad English" can speak English better than Americans.

Also some type of chance to advertise would be nice.. But I have no idea about how it could be executed. :D

Maybe something in Highstreet, for example small banners. Of course it should be chargeable.

A few days before this thread was started it was possible to use HTML tags in the "About Us" box. (at least the <BR> tag worked like a charm.)

Seems like that is no longer possible.

HTML works for me.

a href tag works, img src tag does not. I like this idea, too. My shirt company is sponsoring a fight company and a nutrition company. I'd like to put up banners or fight posters. But I can see why img isn't allowed. High risk for ugly design and unwarranted images. Some dude might think its great promotion to post a picture of some porn chick getting blasted in the face. But not good for the site.
