VFC 42 ‘To the End’ Preview.

185: Rhett “The Hitman” Hart (4-3-0) v Charlie Green (2-3-0)

The opening bout of VFC 42 is the Middleweight meeting between Rhett Hart and Charlie Green who enter this fight with both men on very bad form; this fight is certainly to hit the mat with both men being grapplers first and foremost. Rhett Hart will rely on his Purple grade BJJ to counter the Sensational Wrestling of Charlie Green and will it put Green off from taking this fight to the mat? If this fight stays standing both men are pretty even and this one could well end up being quite the battle. Charlie Green is your favourite here however with Valor Roulette - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

265: Alan “Dunner” Dunne (2-1-0) v “Amazing” AJ Matthews (1-1-0)

Alan Dunne versus AJ Matthews will be both men’s debuts with Valor FC and this will be a good test for both men as they are certainly well matched. Matthews hold the better stand up with his Proficient Boxing however Alan Dunne is the better all round fighter and that could well play a part in how this fight goes. It is worth noting however that Dunne’s two career wins thus far have come by way of KO, so he certainly won’t fear getting involved in a brawl here at VFC 42 – This one is a dark horse for fight of the night I think. Alan Dunne is your favourite here - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

185: Abel “The Holy One” Silva (2-0-0) v Barney “Awesome” Stinson (2-2-0)

Competent Boxer and Wrestler, Barney “Awesome” Stinson is fresh of a win at VFC 34 and will come into this bout full of confidence as he takes on the so far undefeated Abel Silva at Middleweight Thursday night. Stinson has been making impressive improvements in his career and he’ll be confident in picking off “The Holy One” here. Abel Silva however won’t be that easy rolled over with his Proficient Muay Thai and Competent Wrestling he presents a very real threat and after VFC 34 where he KO’d his opponent after 0:20 of Round 1 Stinson better not be looking past the youngster from Sao Paolo, Brazil or he’ll find himself befall a similar fate. Valor Roulette is going with Abel Silva in this one as your pre fight favourite - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

265: Mitchell “Homegrown” Harvin (1-0-0) v Chris “Douglas” Stone (2-0-0)

Respectable Boxer, Mitchell Harvin makes his debut with Valor FC here in this fight against fellow undefeated fighter, Chris Stone at Heavyweight. It will be interesting to see who can impose their will here as Stone will certainly be looking to take this to the mat with his Superb Wrestling, will Harvin be able to stop him? “Homegrown” Harvin’s chances of winning here will be greatly improved if his takedown defence is up to scratch. Valor Roulette believes that “Douglas” Stone will prove too much, too soon for Harvin and Chris Stone is your pre fight favourite here - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

170: Dan Hedwig (7-4-0) v Peter “Speedy” Fisher (4-4-0)

With Superb Muay Thai and Wrestling, Dan Hedwig’s versatility is pretty much unequalled in Valor FC and he’ll be looking to get back on track for sure here at VFC 42 at the expense of Wonderful Boxer, Peter “Speedy” Fisher. In this fight I think we’ll see Hedwig revert back to his Wrestling base as he’ll certainly want to take Fisher off his feet as being involved in a stand up fight with Fisher won’t reward Hedwig with the victory he needs. For Fisher, the key certainly must be keeping the fight standing – If he can do that I think he can take this fight, if he cannot dodge the clinch work and takedown attempts that will come his way however from Hedwig I can see Dan Hedwig just outworking him for the duration of this bout. It is interesting to note that Fisher’s last two defeats have come by way of submission, whereas Hedwig has suffered some bad KO defeats during his career. Both men certainly have the tools to get to the other here and Valor Roulette has installed Hedwig as a very slim favourite here - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

265: Jay Trainertoo (2-0-0) v Karter “Cuter” Duxx (2-1-0)

There will be no surprises here at Heavyweight as either Karter Duxx will be submitted or Jay Trainertoo will be rendered unconscious in a fight that pits the Wonderful Boxer in Karter Duxx, against the BJJ Brown grade Jay Trainertoo in the classic clash of styles. Both are young men attempting to climb up the rankings and both men certainly have all the potential in the world but they’ll have to negotiate this tricky obstacle to progress further. I expect that Trainertoo will look to put his head on the line here in order to get Duxx swinging only to counter with the takedown, Duxx meanwhile will welcome the shoot and look to catch Trainertoo on the way in, or even better on the way out. This one is going to be interesting viewing and Valor Roulette is letting you get good odds on either man here keeping them at the same price, you can punish our indecision here - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

205: Randy Mantell (2-0-0) v “Skeesh” Lee Kerr (2-0-0)

On his Valor FC debut Randy Mantell defeated his opponent by submission due to strikes in what way a hell of a way to introduce himself to our fans, at VFC 42 he’ll attempt to maintain his undefeated record and solidify his recent good form as he takes on the ever game Lee Kerr at Light-Heavyweight. Kerr is showing real improvement in his all round game and this has impressed me, he’ll rely on his Competent Wrestling base still, but his stand up has underwent serious improvements and I will be interested to see if there is any evidence of this here at VFC 42. These men are pretty much equal in every respect and I expect this to be a real competitive affair as both men try and protect their cherished undefeated record. This is another really tough bout to judge but Valor Roulette has gone with Randy Mantell here as the pre fight favourite, I would imagine this is due to him finishing his opponent last time out, whereas Kerr seems to like going the distance via control rather than aggression - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

170: Scott Donavan (6-6-0) v Jimmy “The Wig” Miller (7-5-1)

This is an important bout at Welterweight because it might just determine who is the first challenger to Phil “The Machine” Gunderson’s newly captured Welterweight crown. Scott Donavan will be coming into this fight as the underdog, he’ll be the first to admit it but this Proficient Boxer and BJJ Purple grade has vast experience and has won his last four bouts in a row so he isn’t coming into this bout without a prayer by any means. It will important however for him to approach this bout in a very clever manner as Jimmy Miller is one dangerous man. With Remarkable Muay Thai and Proficient Wrestling with Brown grade BJJ Miller holds all the aces for sure and I would imagine he’ll be looking to take this fight to the mat where he can really make use of his superior grappling. With 3 of his 7 career wins coming by way of submission Miller is certainly not without the ability to get the job done whilst on the ground but will he be able to get the fight to the mat? The fight more or less hinges on this factor and it will be interesting to see how both come out in this bout. Valor Roulette has installed Jimmy Miller as a massive favourite here, but can Donavan spoil the party? http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

205: Co Main Event: “Scooby” Chrissy Boy (4-1-0) v “Pax” Frederik Muller (9-6-0)

The Co Main Event promises action as Wonderful Boxer Chrissy Boy is back in action here at VFC 42 taking on the better rounded and vastly experienced “Pax” Frederik Muller in a real battle between two of the top guys in the Light-Heavyweight division. There is no doubt that “Scooby” will look to keep the action standing where his heavy hands can end fights as highlighted by all 4 of his career wins coming by way of (T) KO thus far, and on a three fight win streak at the moment the scalp of Frederik Muller might just be potentially his biggest win to date. Chrissy Boy has excellent Boxing and serious power, but the rest of his game is somewhat of a mystery, he has managed to finish all his opponents early to avoid being tested but you can be sure that Muller will be looking to find out just how good his opponent is when put on his back. “Pax” has all the experience in the world and has racked up 9 wins, this man is no fool and you can be sure he has a game plan in place to navigate his way past those concrete hands of Chrissy Boy. What will he come out with to counteract this very real threat? I think this fight could get very interesting if Muller can take the fight to the mat but Muller is going to have to bide his time and look for the opportunity to counter as we know “Scooby” likes to come and bang. Valor Roulette is installing Chrissy Boy as prefight favourite however here - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

265: Main Event: William Cunha (4-0-0) v Vlad “The Impaler” Tepes (5-1-0)

The Main Event of the Evening promises to be a stand up war that everyone loves as undefeated William Cunha, from Sao Paolo, Brazil takes on Vlad Tepes, who hails from the old region of Wallachia, Romania. Both men are on great streaks, Cunha of course undefeated and Tepes hasn’t lost in three appearances now as this is a meeting of men right at the top of the food chain in Valor FC’s Heavyweight division. Cunha is a Remarkable Boxer but he has shown that he can adapt his game plan if necessary, indeed scoring a submission win at VFC 35 highlights this. He’ll most likely want to keep the fight standing however to take on Tepes to try and test out the Romanian’s chin. With an ever improving grappling game, Cunha will more than likely have no need for it in this fight however as Tepes is one dangerous man. Wonderful Boxing, Strong Muay Thai and Competent Wrestling are what Tepes has at his disposal come Thursday night at VFC 42 and with 5 career wins, and all 5 by way of (T) KO it would be a fool who thinks this man can’t get another win here. Cunha must watch out for the fearsome kicks of Tepes, they are the base for most of his attacks but he also has KO power in two hands, it’s a big ask for Cunha to try and avoid all these points of contact in this one. He has only ever lost once, to the Champion, John J Rambo however one must remember that Tepes had him beat, he knocked him to the canvas but didn’t follow and I still think that this cost him the fight but Tepes looks like he’s in prime position to go for another shot at Rambo. A win here will almost certainly see that happen and I think that will be enough to get him through here, Valor Roulette feels the same and Tepes is a big favourite here - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

VFC 43 Lucic v Budawalski Preview.

265: “The Enforcer AA” Arn Anderson (0-2-0) v Jay Trainer (1-1-0)

Arn Anderson has made a very poor start to life as a fighter, losing his opening two career bouts, but Saturday night he’ll come into this fight as the favourite as this Strong Boxer and Respectable Wrestler looks to get back on track against BJJ Brown grade Jay Trainer. The key to this fight must be to get the fight to the mat for Trainer, however if he doesn’t succeed in doing this it could be all over pretty soon. Valor Roulette has Anderson as a pre fight favourite here - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

185: Frank England (0-0-0) v “Conqueror of Carthage” Scipio Africanus (0-1-0)

Wonderful Muay Thai specialist Frank England makes his debut here as he’ll look to use his Competent Wrestling to keep this fight standing against his opponent, Wonderful Wrestler Scipio Africanus in what will be the key to this fight. Whilst we don’t have a great deal of information about England, this 19 year old will almost certainly want to dodge the takedowns that will come his way on Saturday night. Africanus lost on his debut, but he does have some very powerful takedowns – let’s see how England copes with this. Valor Roulette is backing Scipio to make this a forgettable debut for England - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

170: Fresh “Scramz” Hamz (0-0-0) v Curtis “Ironskull” Arnett (1-2-0)

Superb Boxer Fresh Hamz makes his debut here at VFC 43 against fellow Welterweight Curtis Arnett, Fresh Hamz will want to keep this fight standing here as Competent Wrestler “Ironskull” Arnett will certainly want to test out the grappling of his opponent. Arnett is on a two fight lose streak however Valor Roulette is taking his experience to get him through this one, can Hamz make it a debut to remember? - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

155: “Little” Jimmy Jones (1-0-0) v Paul “Semtex” Daley (1-4-0)

Wonderful Boxer “Little” Jimmy Jones scored an early Round 1 KO on his debut and this brought him to the attention of Valor FC, on his debut with the company here he’ll take on fellow debutant but much more experienced Lightweight Paul Daley here at VFC 43 on Saturday night. Jones has got some really heavy hands and I expect him to cause Daley all sorts of problems should this fight remain standing as with the other aspects of his game unproven, it would appear Daley might try and expose any potential flaws in Jones’ game. “Semtex” boasts Respectable Boxing but he is the better rounded fighter here, will he look to use this to his advantage? Daley lost his opening four career bouts but has since come back with a win last time out, will he continue this good form? Valor Roulette doesn’t think so and give you big odds on “Semtex” gaining the win here - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

170: Baldrick “The Bandit” Breitner (4-0-0) v Red “Backwards” Rum (4-1-0)

The first bout at VFC 43 between recognisable names features the battle at Welterweight between undefeated Baldrick Breitner and Red Rum. Respectable Muay Thai and Wrestler “The Bandit” also received his purple grade BJJ rank recently to show his evolution as a fighter and this undefeated warrior is really knocking on the door; however at VFC 43 he faces a big test against Red Rum. “Backwards” boasts Respectable Boxing, Proficient Wrestling and Blue grade BJJ and I feel this is a real test between two of the best fighters in the Welterweight division that will go a long way into defining the future for both men. Rum suffered a KO loss last time out at VFC 33 and he’ll look to get back on track here for sure, however Breitner is not undefeated for a reason and has the grappling game to really trouble Red Rum. Valor Roulette installs Breitner as a favourite in this one, but Red Rum will relish playing the underdog and certainly won’t have any fear, this could be an upset - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

155: “Redneck” Cotteneye Joe (1-0-0) v “Say No More” Ezra Pound (6-1-0)

“Redneck” Cotteneye Joe has only had one professional fight but he’s already got a lot of people talking as this man possesses a huge skill set, Exceptional Boxing, Respectable Muay Thai and Superb Wrestling with Purple grade BJJ just to emphasize what kind of special talent this young man is. “Redneck” has only had one professional bout but in this he showed what he was all about, scoring at will with his laser accurate hands and displaying very good stand up. Across the cage on Saturday night he’ll face off against the vastly experienced “Say No More” Ezra Pound who will certainly look forward to taking this young up and comer down a peg or two. Ezra Pound is a Superb Muay Thai fighter and Superb Wrestler and the latter of these two could be the key to this fight. With Purple grade BJJ Ezra Pound is perfectly equipped to really test out Cotteneye Joe by taking him to the mat because the secret about “Redneck’s” hands are out. I think we’ll see Pound look to take this fight to the mat as soon as he can, but will he be able to do this and if it does it will be fascinating to see how Cotteneye Joe actually reacts on the mat. I think if this fight is kept on the feet Cotteneye Joe has the skills to end this fight, but this is certainly a great test for this young fighter at this early stage of his career. Valor Roulette wasn’t sure how to price this fight at the start, however in the end we are going for the experience of Ezra Pound making him a slight favourite, however this one could go either way - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

265: Constantine I the Great (6-2-0) v Ernesto “Che” Guevara (4-2-0)

And here we go again, Constantine I the Great and Ernesto Guevara meet at Heavyweight in another potential epic battle. Make no mistake, somebody is getting KO’d here as these two men are too big and too powerful not to end this fight quickly, not to mention the fact that both men are Wonderful Boxers and this is their strongest base. Constantine has 6 career wins with 5 by KO, Ernesto Guevara has won 3 of his 4 career bouts by the same method adding to the fact that we are going to see someone live by the sword and die by the sword here. Constantine does have Purple grade BJJ but does he have the Wrestling to make this a relevant point? Whereas Guevara has no BJJ whatsoever but has very impressive Strong Wrestling which is what makes me think this fight is certain to stay on the feet. Both these men have picked up losses recently however which is why this fight isn’t place as high up the card as it could have been, but a big win from either man here will certainly put them in the mix. Valor Roulette leaves this fight open to your interpretation here and both fighters come into this fight at the same price - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

205: “The Terminator” Manuel Padilla (5-1-0) v “Dragon” Bruce Lee (6-3-0)

Manuel Padilla comes into this fight with 5 career wins by way of (T) KO and this Remarkable Boxer will certainly have to keep this fight standing as he looks to improve this record at the expense of “Dragon” Bruce Lee. Padilla also has dangerous kicks and this is another big obstacle that stands in Bruce Lee’s way as Padilla certainly has the power to finish fights from this position, as shown at VFC 35. Across the cage Saturday at VFC 43 BJJ Brown grade Bruce Lee will once again look to submit another opponent as this dangerous grappler will certainly be looking to take Padilla to the mat for sure. With all of his career wins, 6 being by way of submission, it shows exactly what Lee will look to do here but Bruce Lee also has some Remarkable Boxing of his own, yet he rarely looks to trade hands despite being more than capable of doing so. With Padilla looking to keep the fight standing, and Lee certainly looking to avoid this, something has to give and this one could come down to just how good Padilla’s takedown defence is. Despite Bruce Lee being a Remarkable Boxer he won’t want to trade with Padilla who has proven KO power and if he can’t take down Padilla he could be another highlight reel victim for Padilla here. Valor Roulette is going with Bruce Lee as a slight favourite in this Light-Heavyweight bout, but yet again, this is another coin toss - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

265: Co Main Event: “Chop-Top” Lawrence Bimbo (8-3-0) v “King” Kzarik Nahrul (5-0-0)

Next our Co Main Event at Heavyweight is a big fight that will most likely deliver us a challenger in wait for the winner of John J Rambo/Vlad Tepes at VFC 48 between Lawrence Bimbo and “King” Kzarik Nahrul and this one is certain to be right up there for one of the fights of the night. “Chop-Top” is the better rounded of the two here as he boasts Superb Boxing, Strong Muay Thai and Remarkable Wrestling with Purple grade BJJ, but Nahrul is arguably the more dangerous of the two, standing with a perfect record of fought 5, won 5 and all by way of (T) KO. Nahrul will come to the cage armed with Respectable Boxing, Superb Muay Thai and Strong Wrestling with Blue grade BJJ. Both these men can end the fight in any instance and it is very unlikely that this fight will go the three rounds scheduled. With both men being so explosive and preferring to stand, I think this fight will be ended in a gruesome manner and this fight adds to the fact that this is a stacked card full of some of the best talent in Valor FC. With so much being on the line here in this bout is there a possibility we could see these men being apprehensive towards the other? I am really excited about the outcome of this fight and I really believe we will see one of the classics here in this one. Yet again Valor Roulette leaves this fight up to you, take a chance and get paid big – Both men are the same price here - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

205: Main Event: Milan Lucic (9-3-0) v Marius “The Terminator” Budawalski (7-0-0)

The Light-Heavyweight Championship of Valor FC is up for grabs again as the Main Event of VFC 43 as undefeated and undisputed Champion Marius Budawalski will lock horns with the heavy handed Milan Lucic. Milan Lucic destroyed Alexander Paredao at VFC 36 to get this shot as this Exceptional Boxer and Respectable Muay Thai striker will look to keep the fight standing for sure as he attempts to put away the king of the Light-Heavyweight division. Milan Lucic also has Strong Wrestling but this is certainly to keep his fights standing and the proof is in the pudding, when he keeps fights standing they rarely get out of Round 1 and this is a theme he’ll certainly want to continue as he takes on “The Terminator” here in our huge Main Event. Undefeated Light-Heavyweight Champion, Marius “The Terminator” Budawalski, from Krakow, Poland is our proud Light-Heavyweight Champion and this Superb Boxer and BJJ Purple grade will certainly face a big test in Lucic, but one he’ll welcome. 5 of Budawalski’s 7 career wins have come by way of submission and this is the best chance of victory here for Budawalski as I expect him to try and take Lucic to the mat and really try and work him over. If this fight goes to the mat there will only be one winner, similarly, there will only be one winner if this fight remains standing. This fight hangs on a knife edge and I think that a lot will depend on how good Lucic is at keeping the fight standing, I expect Lucic to come out swinging to try and end this one I think Budawalski will look to counter and this fight as all the ingredients to be a thriller. To me again, this fight is a coin toss. At Valor Roulette you’ll find they feel the same. Budawalski faces an ominous threat, but he’ll tell you, he’s faced them before and still remains your Champion - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

VFC 41 Bower v Thomas Review.

155: Philip Jones v Bubz “Mcphatten” Phatz

Bubz Phatz gets a good debut win here as his superb clinch work and knees from this position was really the foundation for his unanimous 27:30 victory here at VFC 41. This fight was win or bust for Jones but the reality was Phatz took this fight into the clinch at will and during the course of the three rounds he landed 65 knees to the despairing Jones to emphasis his dominance. Nice opening win for Phatz and he gets a debut win here to move to 1-0-0.

155: Eli “The Dream” Samuel v Chris “Psyco” Jones

Chris Jones was only ever interested in taking this fight to the mat, this too was Eli Samuels’s tactic and it produced a keenly contested affair here at Lightweight in a fight that was won and lost on the mat. Samuel scored with 2 of 6 takedowns during the fight, Jones however scored with 5 of 7 and this really was the basis of Jones’ 27:30 victory. There was very little by way of stand up in this fight as it was Jones’ superior ability at improving position on the mat, even in a disadvantageous position that won him this bout in the eyes of the judges. Jones improves to 3-1-0 with this win.

155: Andy “Hurricane” Miller v Drew Price

Drew Price notched up yet another lightening quick submission as this one was over at the 0:50 mark of Round 1 via Kimura submission, interestingly Price managed to takedown Miller twice on this way to his win here and improves to 6-5-0 now, Price has also signed a new contract with Valor FC so we’re hoping this can be the start of a big push from Price.

265: Mike “Sasqash” Hunt v Alex “The Pollack” Pawlowski

Mike Hunt outdoes Drew Price with an even quicker submission here after 0:44 of this Heavyweight bout by way of arm bar submission. Mike Hunt improves to 5-3-0 after landing a takedown into mount almost immediately, Hunt showed very good submission offence here as he snapped in the arm bar out of nowhere on the unsuspecting Alex Pawlowski and pick up the ‘Submission of the Night’ award in the process.

265: Ales Zhandunka v PJ “El Toro” Jones

We knew that PJ Jones had to get this fight to the mat in order to secure the win in this big fight at Heavyweight, after missing with 16 attempts during the course of this bout Ales Zhandunka viciously finished PJ Jones with a superb combination. Jones couldn’t get the takedown and he took a bad beating here at the hands of the dangerous Zhandunka who landed a huge amount of punches on the almost defenceless PJ Jones whilst moving to 5-4-0 in the process.

265: Bronco “Da Bronx” Nagurski v Richtor “Earthquake” Schkayle

Bronco Nagurski made a great start to this bout, opening Schkayle wide open with a big hook and certainly getting to Schkayle before pulling guard after some good dirty boxing in the clinch. This was a superb start to the bout that ended up ‘Fight of the Night’ however “Earthquake” was given a real boost as the referee stood the action up pretty quickly before Nagurski could wear down his still relatively fresh opponent. From the stand up this one was over in a flash as Richtor Schkayle first knocked down Nagurski with a big uppercut which also cut open “Da Bronx” before almost beheading Nagurski with a massive head kick that crumpled Bronco Nagurski in an absolutely brutal KO finish. Schkayle improves to 5-1-0 with the biggest win of his career and this is a man to keep your eye on as “Earthquake” claims a big scalp in Valor FC and finishes Nagurski’s career in Valor FC on a very sombre note.

205: JT Carter v Dave “Bang” Lang

JT Carter gets the 30:27 unanimous decision win here at VFC 41 in this Light-Heavyweight bout, however Dave Lang made him work the whole way for the win here in this keenly contested bout. The majority of the stand up in this fight took place in the clinch as both men weren’t that keen in keeping the space and openly trading, JT Carter certainly got the better here with his superior Muay Thai displaying dangerous enough elbows and knees. Carter also took this fight to the mat 4 times in the bout and it was this fact, despite missing some that most likely won this bout in the eyes of the judges. JT Carter now improves to 4-1-0 and is already set up for a date with the dangerous Chrissy Boy at VFC 46 in what will be a huge test for both men.

155: Bobby “Flader” Snaps (4-0-0) v Urinus Limberdinkle

Urinus Limberdinkle absolutely blew us away here as he destroyed the previously undefeated Bobby Snaps in this Lightweight encounter to further his title designs and pick up the ‘Knock out of the Night’. Limberdinkle’s kicks were the match winner here, they were absolutely horrible and Snaps was caught a number of times before eventually being tumbled over at 1:58 of Round 1. Snaps didn’t even get to throw a punch in anger as this was all Limberdinkle who remains undefeated and now goes on to fight the similarly undefeated Clayton Daniels at VFC 47 in a bout that’s significance for the future of the Lightweight division cannot be understated.

170: Co Main Event: Jay White v Dennis Willwerth

Jay White and Dennis Willwerth were making their debuts with Valor FC in this bout, and whilst it wasn’t the classic anticipated, this was still a very intriguing bout between already two of the very best in our Welterweight division. Both men missed a huge amount of shots as this fight was all stand up and that was really the story of a fight that must have been a nightmare for the judges to score here as this one went the distance. Dennis Willwerth eventually won what must have been a razor close decision here and I really think we’ll be seeing these two in action again at some point. As stated before, there wasn’t a great deal of actual action in this bout, the shots thrown by far outweighed those that scored as both men showed very good evasive skills. The general consensus was that Jay White bossed Round 1, but seemed to just be outworked overall in the rest of the fight by the ever game Dennis Willwerth who improves to 9-5-0 with a big win over a very respectable opponent. I think we’ll see these two cross swords again at some stage however because both men are destined to remain at the top of our Welterweight division for some time. Jay White will be disappointed but he’ll know with minor tweaking he could have taken this one too. Credit to both men for putting on a good show on their debuts with Valor FC.

185: Main Event: Dave “Pit Bull” Bower v “The Jackhammer” John Thomas

The Main Event of 41 was the Middleweight meeting between Dave Bower and John Thomas, Bower put on a clinic here knowing superior Boxing of his opponent Dave Bower barely afforded Thomas the ability to breathe in this bout as he was all over him for the three rounds that this fight went. With a succession of clinch positions attained, following up with some really effective takedowns this fight was fought with space at a premium. Bower knew if he let up Thomas would most likely be able to pick him off and he aggressively went after the space between the men here and really surprised everyone at ringside with the efficiency of his performance. Bower didn’t let up what so ever and was pretty aggressive on the mat as he really bossed “The Jackhammer” in this one. With this very big scalp Dave Bower improves to 6-3-0 and immediately becomes a contender for the Middleweight title as I was really impressed with the application of his game plan here. “Pit Bull” was more like an anaconda in this fight, squeezing out the life of his opponent but they all count as he got arguably the biggest win of his career thus far here at the Main Event of VFC 41.

VFC 42 ‘To the End’ Review.

185: Rhett “The Hitman” Hart v Charlie Green

Charlie Green signals his intention to make a surge at the Middleweight title here at VFC 42 with a one sided beating of Rhett Hart. Green took this fight to the mat at will and basically assaulted an almost helpless Hart during the course of the three rounds here. Green if he’s being super critical might feel he could have finished this, but a win is a win and he now moves to 3-3-0.

265: Alan “Dunner” Dunne v “Amazing” AJ Matthews

Another one sided contest here at Heavyweight as a Charlie Green inspired Alan Dunne completed a carbon copy display of Green’s beforehand here as he bossed AJ Matthews in this three round fight. The decision was a formality as “Dunner” took this fight 30:27 across the board showing very impressive and effective takedown offence and ground and pound. Dunne looks to be a very good fighter in the making here and he improves to 3-1-0 with his victory.

185: Abel “The Holy One” Silva v Barney “Awesome” Stinson

Barney Stinson had to get this fight to the mat in order to stand at chance in this Middleweight bout, 16 failed takedown attempts later; Abel Silva finally put him out of his misery in a complete display from “The Holy One”. Ending the fight after 2:12 of Round 3 with the (T) KO win courtesy of those concrete hands of his. Silva also showed some impressive takedowns during the course of the bout as he really came of age with this great performance that moved him to 3-0-0. Abel Silva will be one that everyone in the Middleweight division will be wanting to dodge next time out.

265: Mitchell “Homegrown” Harvin v Chris “Douglas” Stone

Chris Stone gave the best performance of his career here as he absolutely dominated Mitchell Harvin at Heavyweight here at VFC 42. Stone took this fight at will in Round 1 scoring with some really nasty ground and pound slicing open “Homegrown’s” face in the process. Coming out into Round 2 Harvin needed to really stop the takedown, he couldn’t and was taken down almost immediately before this fight was stopped by the doctor after 0:59 of Round 2 due to the severity of Harvin’s cut. Stone completed a gruesome win to remain undefeated and improve to 3-0-0 and absolutely blew the audience and me away with this win.

170: Dan Hedwig v Peter “Speedy” Fisher

Dan Hedwig absolutely smothered Peter Fisher in their Welterweight contest at VFC 42, Hedwig knew that Fisher was dangerous with his hands but during the course of this three round contest Hedwig kept Fisher safely in the clinch or on the mat as he easily brushed aside the helpless Fisher. After the fight, the stats said it all; Fisher is a Wonderful Boxer and didn’t get to throw a punch as Hedwig became an anaconda for the night just squeezing the life out of “Speedy”. Hedwig did what he had to do to climb that ladder again and he gets the win with all judges scoring this bout 30:26 to highlight his dominance.

265: Jay Trainertoo v Karter “Cuter” Duxx

Jay Trainertoo and Karter Duxx put on a hell of a show here at VFC 42 with the former taking down Duxx straight away in this bout to really panic “Cuter” at the beginning of this bout. It was as if the takedown almost came too early however as a full of energy Duxx repelled Trainertoo’s repeated submission attempts until the referee stood this one back up. From the stand up Karter Duxx began to assert his control on this one, really cracking Trainertoo with some big shots as the bell came for the end of Round 1. Round 2 lasted all of 5 seconds as Duxx produced a great finish here and won this fight by KO after 0:05 of Round 2, we knew Duxx had power but this was something else, Duxx moves to 3-1-0 in the most sensational style.

205: Randy Mantell v “Skeesh” Lee Kerr

Lee Kerr survived a Randy Mantell rally in Round 3 here to squeak a very close 28:29 win in this Light-Heavyweight battle. With both men abandoning a stand up game in order to turn this into a grappling contest it was Kerr who was the better at taking down his opponent scoring with 4 of his 6 attempts and basically outworking Mantell here rather than inflicting any great damage, indeed it was Mantell who one could say was even the more aggressive in this bout. However Lee Kerr won’t mind as he wins and moves upwards to remain undefeated with a perfect record of 3-0-0 now.

170: Scott Donavan v Jimmy “The Wig” Miller

This fight did not go how I expected it to go whatsoever, in the preview I told anyone who would listen that Jimmy Miller would be too good for Scott Donavan here in this Welterweight clash, I thought this would most likely be a stepping stone for potential title shot for “The Wig”. Our crowd at VFC 42 and I couldn’t believe the heart and determination of Scott Donavan in this fight as he dragged Jimmy Miller the distance in this bout, the whole fight took place on the feet and whilst Miller always was looking for the clinch, Donavan was wise to his ploy and was always able to escape and punish Miller for closing the distance. It was really incredible stuff and despite the fact that this was no technical classic you won’t see many better fights in Valor FC for the pride and heart shown by the supposed underdog Scott Donavan here who really rammed my words down my throat with a sensational performance. In the end this fight was declared a majority draw, one of the judges did score the fight for Miller however I think even Miller would agree that Scott Donavan was really worth his draw here.

205: Co Main Event: “Scooby” Chrissy Boy v “Pax” Frederik Muller

After 1:14 of Round 1 Chrissy Boy had forced the referee to stop this fight as he man handled Frederik Muller here at Light-Heavyweight. Chrissy Boy immediately signed a contract to fight JT Carter at VFC 46 and if he wins that fight, which he is more than capable of doing. He’ll certainly not be far away from the title shot that he strives for. Muller did try once to get Chrissy Boy to the mat, however “Scooby” was too strong and in the end punished Muller for this in the extreme in what proved to be a very one sided affair. Chrissy Boy stands with an imposing 5-1-0 record and is undefeated since VFC 12 now showing just how dangerous he has become.

265: Main Event: William Cunha v Vlad “The Impaler” Tepes

The Main Event promised to be a stand up war, it was everything that this fight promised and more and incredibly went the distance despite the fact both of these men are renowned finishers. It was a sensational fight and indeed won ‘Fight of the Night’ honours as both Cunha and Tepes went toe to toe for all three rounds here in a grand stand finish to VFC 42. Vlad Tepes in the end took the unanimous 27:30 victory as he always seemed to retain an element of control with his very dangerous mix of kicks and punches. Cunha was left bloodied on a number of occasions due to the laser accuracy of his opponent who now will move on to once again challenge for the Valor FC Heavyweight Championship of the world. This fight was set up after Tepes was announced the winner and it should be an absolute war as Valor FC moves home to the 5,250 seater Liberty Dome with that war as Main Event of the Evening. Back to this fight and it was really those feet of Tepes that caused the damage as they were the springboard for most of his attacks and Cunha really had no answer to them. This was Cunha’s first defeat and he battled gamely and he’ll be back for sure. But Tepes wasn’t to be denied and he finally gets a chance to once and for all finish Rambo. Will he be able to do this? We’ll find out in just three short weeks.

VFC 43 Lucic v Budawalski Review.

265: “The Enforcer AA” Arn Anderson v Jay Trainer

Arn Anderson decided to go to the mat with Jay Trainer in the opening to VFC 43; Arn Anderson was promptly submitted as he really played into Jay Trainer’s strength here. Over after 0:39 of Round 1 this was slick from Trainer who improves to 2-1-0.

185: Frank England v “Conqueror of Carthage” Scipio Africanus

Immediately taken down from the bell, Frank England tried in vain to sink in some submissions or do anything to get Scipio Africanus off the top of him. He couldn’t and after some really serious ground and pound this one was all over at 1:57 of Round 1. It looks like the Middleweight division has got another nasty contender and this was a superb finish from Africanus. Frank England will feel this was a bad matchup for him however he must improve his takedown defence if he is going to be a stand up fighter.

170: Fresh “Scramz” Hamz v Curtis “Ironskull” Arnett

Curtis Arnett tried in vain to get this fight to the mat however he couldn’t get “Scramz” to the mat as Fresh Hamz just let his fists go in this one and really ran through Curtis Arnett in this Welterweight clash. Over after 1:25 of Round 1 due to (T) KO Hamz sets down the benchmark for anyone thinking about taking him on next and what a way to make your debut as Hamz defeats a really solid guy in Arnett here.

155: “Little” Jimmy Jones v Paul “Semtex” Daley

“Little” Jimmy Jones has ‘Big’ KO power as he put Daley on his ass right at the start of the fight, allowing him to get up before repeating, ending the fight with a vicious combination after just 0:18 of Round 1. Jimmy Jones now stands at 2-0-0 and he looks to be a real find for Valor FC. Very impressive stuff for “Little” Jimmy Jones and you can expect to see him action pretty soon with an early finish like this.

170: Baldrick “The Bandit” Breitner v Red “Backwards” Rum

This Welterweight bout was the first of the night to go the distance but it was no less exciting as Breitner and Rum enjoyed the close contest we expected here at VFC 43. Round 1 was really a game of ‘cat and mouse’ with no fighter really enjoying any dominance however Rum aesthetically took it due to him being in top position on the mat for most of the round. Round 2 was equally as close with Breitner perhaps shading it due to his activity on the mat following his takedown, Rum however scored with a crazy back suplex but ended the round with Breitner raining down strikes on him which most likely most him that bout. I feel this fight was a draw coming into the final round so it was winner take all in my opinion here, and Breitner really picked up the ante to dominate the final round, taking down Rum immediately from the start and pretty much controlling the action to the final bell. The judges scored this bout 29:28 in favour of “The Bandit” who impressively moves upwards to 5-0-0 and is really beginning to look menacing at Lightweight.

155: “Redneck” Cotteneye Joe v “Say No More” Ezra Pound

We knew that Cotteneye Joe was a talented individual, however I felt that Ezra Pound might be a step too far too soon for this young talent and so it proved as Ezra Pound took a unanimous 28:29 decision win here at VFC 43. Pound fought a very intelligent fight, making “Redneck” fight his way through a barrage of kicks to the legs from the outside before he could get anything of his own off against Pound and when he became over aggressive Pound successfully took him to the mat to punish some more. “Say No More” was very impressive in taking down young rising talent Cotteneye Joe but the youngster wasn’t outclassed by any means – He was more naive and this perhaps cost him. All the credit to Pound however, he had everything to lose in this bout and came in and executed his game plan very successfully to improve to 7-1-0. Pound showed that his Wrestling is really his strong suit here however as his takedowns are really hard to defend, Pound with this victory has fought his way back into title contention and “Say No More” is a real contender at Lightweight in my opinion.

265: Constantine I the Great v Ernesto “Che” Guevara

Ernesto Guevara absolutely destroyed Constantine I the Great at VFC 43 here, beating the Italian in the stand up to a bloody mess, before the Great searching for a way out, pulled guard successfully. The only problem with that was Guevara knew what was coming and landed some of the most vicious ground and pound we’ve seen after brushing off some submission attempts. Over after 1:49 of Round 1 this was a one sided affair and Constantine after the fight asked for a rematch which Guevara has appeared to accept. The next fight can’t go any worse for Constantine but he’ll know that he has to dodge the bombs that Guevara throws to have any chance of success. The doctor saved the Italian from serious punishment here I think because Guevara didn’t look like he was going to let up.

205: “The Terminator” Manuel Padilla v “Dragon” Bruce Lee

Well Bruce Lee managed to get Padilla to the mat very quickly in this fight but Padilla displayed great defensive grappling as Lee pretty much wore himself out attempting a huge amount of submissions at the start. Padilla from the stand up showed what he was all about punishing Lee and opening him up with a good combination. Lee despite having Remarkable Boxing of his own was only interested in going to the mat and scored with just 3 of 30 attempts which pretty much was the story of this fight as Lee did little to attack from stand up and took a beating for most of the three rounds here at Light-Heavyweight. Whilst Padilla went for a lot of shots, he didn’t really land that many but he did cut Lee open on a number of occasions on his way to a relatively easy 30:27 victory. Bruce Lee’s tactics were pretty odd and he defeated himself more than anything else here. Padilla gratefully negotiates this hurdle on way to moving to 6-1-0 with an efficient rather than spectacular display, but they all count.

265: Co Main Event: “Chop-Top” Lawrence Bimbo v “King” Kzarik Nahrul

Round 1 was an absolute war between Lawrence Bimbo and Kzarik Nahrul at Heavyweight, both men landed at will on the other as they really went at it opening up cuts on the other relatively early in the fight. Bimbo was happy to trade shots and stay on the outside and got relative success in the early part of this fight before Nahrul really managed to time him and gain the clinch more and more. From the clinch Nahrul proved very aggressive scoring with a tremendous amount of elbows to the head which were really damaging “Chop-Top” as Bimbo began a change of tact, looking for the takedown which Nahrul brushed off with ease as Round 1 came to an end. Nahrul didn’t have too much longer to wait however before he ended this fight as Bimbo came out for Round 2 looking for the takedown again only to fail. Nahrul’s kicks and accuracy with his punches were really beginning to slow down Bimbo and he was caught with a big head kick which sent Bimbo crashing to the mat early in Round 2. Bimbo was allowed to get to his feet by Nahrul who had no interest in going to the mat and it was only a matter of time from the stand up again as after 3:27 of Round 2 Nahrul extended his undefeated record to 6-0-0 with a (T) KO victory following a brutal head kick yet again rushing the clearly staggered Bimbo this time as the referee jumped in to save “Chop-Top”. Bimbo will feel this fight could have gone differently had he got it to the mat, however the leg kicks from Nahrul really stopped his ability to explode into the takedown and this was the basis for “King’s” win here.

205: Main Event: Milan Lucic v Marius “The Terminator” Budawalski

We have a new Light-Heavyweight Champion in Milan Lucic after his Round 1 dismissal of former undefeated Champion Marius Budawalski here in the main event of VFC 43. Lucic was happy to dart in and out of the clinch early on scoring with some dirty boxing from this position really stopping Budawalski get anything off as the Champion was knocked down three times early on before eventually being finished after a brutal head kick from Lucic. This was a one sided affair as Lucic really put in the performance of a lifetime to finish the previously undefeated Pole. After 4:36 of Round 1 Milan Lucic was our new Light-Heavyweight Champion as he fought a very efficient fight, perhaps surprising us with his willingness to attack from the clinch but it certainly worked for him here at VFC 43. Lucic must be congratulated for the manner of his win and he’ll certainly prove to be a hard nut to crack for our Light-Heavyweight division. Lucic has no immediate challenger so he’ll be allowed some time to saviour the win. It’s back to the drawing board for Budawalski but he’ll be back you can be sure of that. Nobody wins seven in a row in this sport without having something to them, it’s the mark of a Champion, how he comes back after defeat and Budawalski will dedicate himself to getting back to the top.

VFC 44 ‘Rise Up’ Preview.

265: “The Bear” Sergei Onatopp (0-0-0) v Brian “The Hulk” Hutchinson (0-1-0)

Remarkable Wrestler Sergei Onatopp makes his debut in Valor FC against Wonderful Boxer Brian Hutchinson here in a Light-Heavyweight bout to open up VFC 44. We don’t know much really about either fighter but this fight certainly will hinge on whether or not “The Bear” can take down “The Hulk”. If he can’t get Brian Hutchinson to the mat, he’ll be dealt with in the most severe of manners one would expect. Valor Roulette installs “The Hulk” as your pre fight favourite here - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

205: “Cabernelli” Everth Cabaret (0-0-0) v Gabriel “Zone Keeper” La Fleur (0-0-0)

Everth Cabaret sums up his game perfectly when he says: “Boxing and Muay Thai won’t help you when your back is on the ground” and this Wonderful Wrestler is more than capable of backing up his words as he makes his Valor FC debut here against fellow debutant Gabriel La Fleur at VFC 44. “Zone Keeper” will come to the cage the better rounded of these fighters and with his Strong Boxing, he’ll surely want to keep the fight standing. He also boasts Competent Wrestling and the better BJJ of the two so he’ll be confident of taking an opening victory here and Valor Roulette has installed Gabriel La Fleur as your pre fight favourite here - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

205: Apachi “Death God” Hopachai (2-3-0) v “El Cigano” Jose Laundoes (1-0-0)

With three losses in a row, Apachi Hopachai is in a very precarious position as this Remarkable Muay Thai practitioner and Competent Wrestler looks to get back on track as he takes on the much more inexperienced Jose Laundoes here at VFC 44. “El Cigano” is a tough nut to crack however, snapped up by Valor FC after an opening decision win in his career, this Wonderful Boxer will look to possibly end “Death God’s” stint in Valor FC. Valor Roulette is going with experience here however, Hopachai to get back on track according to them - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

155: Manchild “The Second Coming” Warsaw (0-0-0) v Apachai Hopachai (5-3-0)

Remarkable Boxer Manchild Warsaw will step into the cage against the vastly experienced Apachai Hopachai in this Lightweight bout, making his debut and he couldn’t ask for a tougher opening assignment here at VFC 44. It remains to be seen what “The Second Coming” will bring to the cage, but his opponent will be bringing Proficient Boxing and Wonderful Muay Thai and a record of 3 of his 5 career wins coming by way of (T) KO. Apachai Hopachai will have to be a big favourite here and this is exactly how Valor Roulette sees it - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

205: Pesho Talpata (4-3-0) v Vincent “Mayhem” Marconi (4-1-0)

This fight at Light-Heavyweight really interests me here as this has the potential to be fight of the night between Wonderful Wrestler Pesho Talpata and Valor FC newcomer Vincent Marconi. With both men suffering losses last time out this one could really go either way. Pesho Talpata is a Valor FC favourite and veteran here, he also displays improved Proficient Boxing but I don’t think he’ll want to stand with “Mayhem” and his Wonderful Boxing. Marconi has scored 4 career wins by way of KO, but will he be able to stop the impressive takedowns of Talpata? Valor Roulette doesn’t think so, and has the Bulgarian Talpata as your favourite here. This should be a great bout; Marconi is going to have to pick his moment to explode – as will Talpata - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

185: Sarge “Thunder boy” Dela (9-8-0) v Joe Rogan (9-4-0)

This is a big Middleweight bout between two of the most battle hardened men in Valor FC as Sarge Dela and Joe Rogan meet in a bout with big repercussions for the future of the Middleweight division. I also feel it is worth mentioning that both of these men don’t go the distance and I think we’ll see that manifest itself in this bout, this one will be finished by one of these men, and they just don’t do going the distance. “Thunder boy” brings an incredible skill set, Remarkable Boxing, Strong Wrestling and Brown grade BJJ – He can end the fight from any position and this is a great confidence booster to him for sure but he’ll look to keep this one standing as this is where Rogan appears weakest, and is also where Dela has scored 5 of his 9 career wins from. Rogan, fresh off a nasty head kick KO win at VFC 36 will beg to differ that his stand up is weak, especially after that but it is his Brown grade BJJ that has scored him most success with 7 of 9 victories coming by way of submission. I think Rogan needs to get this fight to the mat, Dela will be comfortable wherever and that might just be the difference between these men. Valor Roulette installs Dela as a slight favourite here at VFC 44 - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

205: Mr “BA” T (4-3-0) v “The Politician” Cesar Areza (3-1-0)

This Light-Heavyweight battle is pretty easy to analyse, if “The Politician” Cesar Areza can’t get Mr T to the mat he’ll be finished, and finished early as Remarkable Boxer Mr T shows mercy for no man who is foolish enough to stand with him. The good news for Cesar Areza is the fact that all his career wins have come by submission, and this is without a doubt “BA’s” weakness. Can he complete the takedown? This is the key aspect of this fight, and we know that Mr T will come out to hurt; can Areza dodge the bombs to get the takedown? Areza has a solid chin, but he’ll not want to take too many on the way in as he looks to secure the takedown on “BA”. Valor Roulette thinks Mr T takes this one and has him as pre fight favourite for this one - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

265: Andy “The Monster” Kline (8-5-0) v Andrus “Fabolous” Nuut (5-4-0)

Andy Kline comes into this fight still suffering a hangover from his loss when challenging for the Valor FC Heavyweight title, he dropped a decision last time out at VFC 38 and has now lost two in a row. Kline boasts Proficient Boxing and Brown grade BJJ and has evidence of his Muay Thai and Wrestling beginning to improve. He’ll as ever, he hard to beat but will he finally break free of the mental block he seems to be suffering from? No such problems for Andrus Nuut however, he comes into this Heavyweight clash on three straight wins as he really makes a big step up in competition here taking on “The Monster”. Nuut has a great all round game, he doesn’t excel anywhere however he isn’t lacking anywhere either and this ability is really hard to outfox. Kline will have his hands full here with this Estonian for sure. Nuut does have KO power, not due to his technique but his brutish power however he likes to take most of his fights by submission – with 3 of his 5 career wins coming by way of submission this is evident. However considering who he takes on here, will we see some of this brawling style of Nuut’s in this one? Valor Roulette is banking on Kline getting out of his slump here, but that won’t be easy against a man on a rich vein of form in “Fabolous” - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

155: Co Main Event: Fresenius “The Concentrator” James (4-1-0) v Henery “Thunder” McLovin (8-1-0)

With four wins in a row, Fresenius “The Concentrator” James comes into this bout, very close to securing a title shot at Lightweight as this Superb Boxer will look to brush aside the challenge of vastly experienced Henery McLovin here at VFC 44. James is built for stand up, a great chin, Superb Boxing and Respectable Wrestling to keep fights standing James will not look to change much for this Co Main Event I feel. Recently “The Concentrator” has went the distance in his last two fights, this shows that his all round game has been improving and he now has the ability to grind out wins when he needs to showing improved maturity. Across the cage on Thursday night he’ll face “Thunder” McLovin, like his opponent, Henery has now won four in a row and this fight is really the biggest in both men’s career thus far. “Thunder” is the better rounded fighter for sure, but, unlike James he doesn’t excel in any area preferring to have an equally spread game. With Competent Boxing and Wrestling and a dangerous submission game, McLovin has won 6 of his 8 career wins by this method and it will be very interesting to see how James copes with the certain takedowns that come his way. James has no BJJ whatsoever; if this fight goes to the mat it won’t last long. But, can “Thunder” secure the takedown? The fight really depends on this issue, and if McLovin can handle the fists that he’ll meet as he tries to close the distance. Valor Roulette is going to install James as your pre fight favourite here, but with both men doing so well recently this fight is a coin toss - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

265: Main Event: Thomas “Kid Gyro” Conway (8-5-0) v Tonka “The Truck” Thomas (10-4-0)

The Main Event of VFC 44 is the meeting of Thomas Conway and Tonka Thomas in a bout that promises action between two men more than capable of holding the Valor FC Heavyweight title at any stage. Both men are hurting, coming off losses and I really think both men will come into this one all out for the win, a win for either will get them back in the title picture, for the loser, the scenic route awaits. Thomas Conway will boast Strong Boxing, Competent Wrestling and Proficient Wrestling and Purple grade BJJ and “Kid Gyro” is very clever in how he goes about his business, with his eight career wins coming by an even spread of (T) KO, Submission and decision he shows that he is very adept at changing his game plan for each opponent and this is something that is really invaluable for a fighter at this level. Tonka Thomas comes into the Main Event of VFC 44 fresh off a loss at VFC 38 and this Remarkable Boxer and Purple grade BJJ fighter will concede some overall skills to Conway but will be confident about securing the win here. Thomas is a finisher, he’s (T) KO’d 6 of 10 opponents and secured submission wins in 3 of his 10 career wins to highlight just how lethal this man is if you let him go to work. It will be interesting to see how Conway goes about using his superior Muay Thai and Wrestling in this one, because Thomas won’t be worried about trading with Conway, I suspect it will be the short game of Conway’s that he will be worried and this is something that I expect to really be played out during the course of this bout. Valor Roulette leaves the main event up to your interpretation offering very generous odds on both men, leaving them the same price – I’ve no idea who will take this one and whilst I don’t think it will go the distance, I can’t commit to picking a winner. Whilst both men are coming off losses, make no mistake, this at a different stage in their careers in the future could be a Valor FC Championship fight - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

VFC 45 Powers v McKennedy Preview.

170: Alaric “The” Visigoth (0-0-0) v Roger “The Hitman” Panzer (4-3-0)

Rodger Panzer welcomes Alaric Visigoth to MMA here in this Welterweight clash, for Panzer to be successful here he’ll have to use his Respectable Boxing and keep the fight standing, this however could be a tall task, because whilst we don’t know a great deal about Visigoth, we do know he is a Wonderful Wrestler and presumably he’ll be more than able to take down “The Hitman”. Valor Roulette is interestingly going with the debutant here in this one - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

155: Johnny Deep (3-2-0) v Barry “The Widowmaker” Windham (1-1-0)

This should be a really interesting battle between two men that are very similarly matched, both possess Purple grade BJJ and this is really the strong suit for both men. Johnny Deep shades the overall game; however he is a bit more experienced so that is to be expected. Deep is more than used to going the distance, whilst last time out Windham picked up the submission win. Both men are on a good run so this is going to be a close one. Valor Roulette installs Deep as the pre fight favourite but I can’t rule out “The Widowmaker” for sure - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

265: Jon “All Day” Alliss (3-2-0) v Jose “The Bull” Toro (3-3-0)

Jon Alliss is on a two fight win streak and this Competent Boxer and Wrestler will be confident in extending this record in the Heavyweight bout with Jose Toro here at VFC 45. Toro lost his last bout, but has made a name for himself with his dangerous submission game winning 3 of 3 career wins via submission. Toro holds Purple grade BJJ and Proficient Boxing and seems to have the answers for the questions that “All Day” could pose. Valor Roulette has installed Toro as the pre fight favourite; however Alliss is the man on form - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

185: Henry Dangerfield (3-1-0) v Logan Evans (5-2-0)

Henry Dangerfield makes his Valor FC debut and this highly rated up and comer faces a big test here in former Middleweight Champion Logan Evans. Dangerfield has won three in a row now and this Competent Wrestler possesses some really effective ground and pound. Will he be able to take down the more experienced Logan Evans in this one? That is really the key to success for Dangerfield however Evans holds both Respectable Boxing and Wrestling not to mention Purple grade BJJ. This is a very tough ask for Dangerfield at this stage in his career, however if he takes this one you can really start to believe the hype. Valor Roulette is going with what they know, Logan Evans to get back on track here they believe - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

205: Joe “Heavy” Hanner (4-2-0) v “Lights Out” Brave Heart (5-2-0)

Big grudge match now at Light-Heavyweight between Joe Hanner and Brave Heart, Brave Heart took the first fight in very controversial circumstances as he sneaked the decision win. Hanner was disgusted and immediately wanted a rematch, we had to wait for some time however now here it is. Hanner and Brave Heart yet again go at it, and I expect this fight to follow the same pattern as Strong Wrestler Joe Hanner will look to take Brave Heart to the mat whilst Brave Heart will prefer to use his own Respectable Wrestling to keep the fight standing and pick off “Heavy” with his Strong Boxing. Hanner had no trouble taking down Brave Heart in the first fight, so we assume he’ll be able to do so in this bout, will he be able to do anything on the mat this time? Hanner must be patient though, if he isn’t, “Lights Out” can end this with one punch. Valor Roulette is going with Brave Heart to do the double here, barely - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

170: Scott Donavan (6-6-1) v Garrett “F’n” Crosby (4-1-0)

Undefeated in five fights and in a real short space of time, Scott Donavan is back in action again at VFC 45 and Valor FC would like to thank him for accepting these bouts in relative quick time. Sunday night this Proficient Boxer and BJJ Purple grade will step into the cage against good up and comer Garrett Crosby. Crosby has Purple grade BJJ of his own and compliments his game with Competent Muay Thai in a dangerous mix and I think this has the potential to be one of the fights of the night. Donavan holds the vast experience advantage, but Crosby has shown no fear as he has really impressed me in Valor FC thus far. I think this fight will most likely to all three rounds because both these men have shown they prefer a methodical approach rather than come out swinging, so who can take the win? Valor Roulette is going with Donavan here, we can’t look past a man unbeaten in five. A win here for Donavan surely puts him in the upper reaches of the Welterweight division - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

265: Mister Clutch (6-2-0) v Chrissy “Boom Boom” Lad (3-0-0)

Asking for this fight could really come back to haunt Mister Clutch as he takes on undefeated and supremely dangerous Chrissy Lad here in this huge Heavyweight bout at VFC 45. Clutch, who has suffered at the hands of punchers before, requested this fight as he wants to get past what seems to be his biggest weakness in order to prove he’s ready for another run at the title. His ambition must be commended as this Wonderful Wrestler took a unanimous decision at VFC 38 but recently Clutch has shown some improvements in his all round game, can we expect to see some of this here in this bout against Chrissy Boy? Clutch traditionally brings the pain in the clinch and there doesn’t really seem to be a great deal the majority of his opponents can do about this – Chrissy Boy will have to combat this if he is to stand a chance. Chrissy Boy brings Superb Boxing to the cage and has won all 3 of his career bouts thus far by (T) KO. “Boom Boom” holds Competent Wrestling as well and it will be interesting to see what he has in the clinch to combat Clutch, this is really where this fight will be won and lost because in Clutch can get in and out of the clinch with no real problems, he’ll just wear down Chrissy Lad, if Chrissy Lad catches Clutch, this fight could get really interesting and I will be keen on seeing how he copes with this. Valor Roulette is going with the experience of Clutch, but just about - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

185: “The Gentleman” Kurt Kendall (7-3-0) v Gene “The Executioner” Paolo Mac (4-1-0)

This fight marks the last of Kurt Kendall’s time in Valor FC as this highly experienced fighter will leave for pastures new after he takes on “The Executioner” in his final bout. Proficient Wrestling and Competent Muay Thai is what “The Gentleman” brings to the cage as he will look to end on a high here against the dangerous Gene Paolo Mac. It would seem that Kendall will almost certainly try and get this fight to the mat where he has shown evidence of submission ability winning 3 of his 7 career wins via this method. I don’t think he will be able to drag Paolo Mac the distance – So his best chance will surely be via the takedown. This is something that was ruthlessly exposed at VFC 37 and “The Executioner” will surely have to show us some serious improvement in his takedown defence in this bout or he’ll suffer a similar fate at the hands of “The Gentleman”. With Competent Boxing and Remarkable Muay Thai Gene Paolo Mac is more than capable of ending this fight every second it is kept standing and he knows that Kendall must really take the fight to mat so how will he approach this one, will he look to catch Kendall on the way in or look to finish and take the bull by the horns? This promises to be a very close bout, Kendall is on winning form however and Valor Roulette reckons he can extend that at “The Executioners” expense - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

155: Co Main Event: Kenneth “Boa Kahn” Smith (10-5-0) v Anderson “Eisentower” Sharpe (6-0-0)

The Co Main Event of VFC 45 is the massive bout at Lightweight between Kenneth Smith and the undefeated and debuting Anderson Sharpe. Kenneth “Boa Kahn” Smith has now won 3 in a row and is really looking like now is his time, however in his way stands the undefeated Anderson Sharpe who will also feel that this is the last obstacle in the way before he gets his shot at Mike Martin or James Graves. So much is on the line here and I expect neither man to put up anything other than the performance of a lifetime here at VFC 45. Kenneth Smith has won 7 of his 10 career bouts via submission and there is no doubt that this is “Boa Kahn’s” best chance of taking this fight. With Proficient Boxing and Superb Wrestling with Purple grade BJJ Kenneth Smith is very complete fighter but he loves to take the fight to the mat and really wear his opponents down before taking the fight out of them. Smith has beaten some of the very best at Lightweight in Valor FC and he’ll relish the opportunity of putting the first dent in Anderson Sharpe’s record. Easier said than done however as undefeated Anderson Sharpe boasts Superb Boxing and is Proficient in both Muay Thai and Wrestling not to mention holding Purple grade BJJ himself. Whilst Smith is the more experienced fighter, Sharpe for sure holds the advantage in his explosiveness and has won 4 of 6 career wins thus far by way of (T) KO. Sharpe is a great signing for Valor FC and Sunday night we’ll see just what he adds to our Lightweight division I expect he’ll look to force Smith into standing with him, which is not a good idea at all as he looks to brush aside the challenge of Smith. This fight could well end up being fight of the night and I can’t wait to see how it goes. Valor Roulette installs Anderson Sharpe as a very slim pre fight favourite here - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

185: Main Event: Samual “Screech” Powers (5-0-0) v Corey “Skully” McKennedy (6-0-0)

The Middleweight Championship of Valor FC is up for grabs here in the penultimate fight of VFC 45 as undefeated Samuel Powers takes on undefeated Champion, Corey McKennedy in what will be a great bout for sure. Samuel “Screech” Powers gets his shot after racking up four unanimous decision wins in a row and this Respectable Wrestler combines this well with his Purple grade BJJ in a very hard to defeat style. Powers likes to take his opponents down and really wear them out and this is something that he’ll look to do again for sure against “Skully” McKennedy as Powers must get this fight to the mat to have any chance of winning, if he doesn’t it could be a very long and painful experience for “Screech”. Our Middleweight Champion will bring Proficient Muay Thai and Purple grade BJJ, but the rest of McKennedy’s game is really beginning to improve and this will be a cause of major concern for the Challenger. McKennedy has really bossed his opponents all in three of his title defences thus far without putting any away, one suspects the same trend will happen again if Powers cannot impose his will on “Skully” but at VFC 37 Corey displayed a range of new talents as he displayed very impressive takedowns to neutralise the dangerous Gene Paolo Mac. I would imagine that McKennedy will be the pre fight favourite in many people’s eyes because Powers has to get the fight to the mat to win, whereas McKennedy can really boss this one if he can’t do this. Valor Roulette has installed Corey McKennedy as your pre fight favourite and banks on him to continue his undefeated streak at the expense of that of Samual Powers here at VFC 45 - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

VFC 44 ‘Rise Up’ Review.

265: “The Bear” Sergei Onatopp v Brian “The Hulk” Hutchinson

This fight was over after 2:46 of Round 2 as Sergei Onatopp repeatedly took down Brian “The Hulk” Hutchinson and basically gave him a beating on the mat. Onatopp moves to 1-0-0 with a debut win and has some very dangerous Wrestling it seems. The Heavyweight division has already noticed this young man.

205: “Cabernelli” Everth Cabaret v Gabriel “Zone Keeper” La Fleur

Gabriel La Fleur shows the hype is for real with as good a debut win as you’ll ever see anybody make here in this Light-Heavyweight bout. “Zone Keeper” bossed Everth Cabaret here finishing him after 3:05 of Round 1 due to the cut inflicted early on in this fight. Cabaret struggled to get anything off here as he hit the mat three times before the doctor saved this man from anymore.

205: Apachi “Death God” Hopachai v “El Cigano” Jose Laundoes

Laundoes came out here at Light-Heavyweight swinging but couldn’t get near the elusive Hopachai before being on the receiving end of a nasty (T) KO finish after just 0:45 of Round 1. Hopachai really rocked Laundoes with a big uppercut but finished the fight in the clinch with a really nasty knee. Hopachai gets back on track with a brutal a finish as we’ve seen from this man.

155: Manchild “The Second Coming” Warsaw v Apachai Hopachai

Manchild Warsaw was on the receiving end of a Muay Thai clinch clinic in this one as this Lightweight bout was won with Hopachai refusing to give “The Second Coming” any space whatsoever. Warsaw could do nothing to escape the clinch and was on the wrong end of an 28:29 unanimous decision here at VFC 44. Warsaw would be confident taking on Hopachai again in the future I feel, however a big hole in his game was exposed here by the elbow throwing happy Hopachai here.

205: Pesho Talpata v Vincent “Mayhem” Marconi

Over after 0:13 of Round 1, Vincent “Mayhem” Marconi makes a mockery of my pre fight expectations and KO’s the extremely tough Pesho Talpata with a vicious combination of lefts and rights. Marconi is for real and the Light-Heavyweight division just got another very real combatant with this one. Marconi moves to 5-1-0 and we’ll be seeing him back in action really soon.

185: Sarge “Thunder boy” Dela v Joe Rogan

By now we were thinking there was something in the water as this was another bout that didn’t escape Round 1 as Sarge Dela destroyed the highly rated Joe Rogan here at Middleweight. Over at the 0:55 mark of Round 1 Dela rocked Rogan with a straight right counter to rock him, and then didn’t relent in the pressure until the referee stopped this one. It was a massive win for “Thunder Boy” who now goes on to face John Thomas and improves to 10-8-0 with this one.

205: Mr “BA” T v “The Politician” Cesar Areza

We knew Areza had to get the takedown, three failed attempts later and after multiple shots from Mr T this one was all over in yet another Round 1 finish at VFC 44. Areza could have made quick work of the white belt Mr T had he got him on the mat but T showed good takedown defence and balance to keep this one standing while throwing those bombs of his as he does. This fight was declared finished after 3:55 of Round 1 due to (T) KO and just prior to that Mr T had put Cesar Areza to the mat two times with devastating offence. Mr T moves to 5-3-0 with this big win and once again shows his huge power.

265: Andy “The Monster” Kline v Andrus “Fabolous” Nuut

Andrus “Fabolous” Nuut gave arguably the best performance of his career at VFC 44, frustrating Andy Kline in the clinch for most of the fight, sneaking in the occasional knee whilst also remaining very active when at striking distance. Kline however was always looking for the takedown which didn’t come from him, but Nuut as he had sufficiently worn out “The Monster” and secured the takedown which was the beginning of the end for Kline. After 3:04 of Round 1 with a few tame enough efforts previously Nuut submitted his BJJ superior here with a lightening quick arm bar submission. Nuut shocked all of Valor FC here and took this one to move to 6-4-0, fantastic finish however. Kline didn’t see it coming at all, neither did I.

155: Co Main Event: Fresenius “The Concentrator” James v Henery “Thunder” McLovin

Henery McLovin paid the ultimate price for not looking to mix it up here in devastating style as “The Concentrator” finished the Co Main Event after 0:51 of Round 1. “Thunder” had no intention of striking with James, and seeing this, James really poured it on after McLovin missed with his first few energy charged shots. Fresenius James knew he had this one stitched up at this point and then dropped McLovin with a right and left before ending the fight seconds later after landing with a huge elbow from top position. The referee making a good stoppage as James really showed a big gulf in class here at Lightweight. James now stands with an impressive record of 5-1-0 after this dismissal of a very able challenger.

265: Main Event: Thomas “Kid Gyro” Conway v Tonka “The Truck” Thomas

The Main Event of the Evening was the Heavyweight bout between Thomas Conway and Tonka Thomas. It wasn’t over as quickly as the previous fights at VFC 44 but it was finished as “Kid Gyro” ended this one with just one second left in Round 2 via arm bar submission. The majority of the stand up in this fight involved both men really tying each other up in the clinch, not really much came from this position as far as offense is concerned but it was the basis to how this fight was settled as Conway used it to great advantage to secure his takedowns. This was essentially the key to this fight; Conway was always looking to get the fight to the mat and missed with a few attempts in the clinch but importantly did land one takedown per round, which was enough to settle this fight in the end as Conway wrapped up the win with a lightening quick submission after 4:59 of Round 2. Thomas will be upset no doubt to have gave in with just one second remaining but he really found it hard to hit Conway, especially in the clinch when he missed with quite a few shots. Conway moves on and improves to 9-5-0 here but I get the feeling both of these men will be crossing paths again at some stage. I don’t think this was a decisive victory for Conway in our Main Event, but he did suppress everything that Thomas tried to do.

VFC 45 Powers v McKennedy Review.

170: Alaric “The” Visigoth v Roger “The Hitman” Panzer

What a performance from Alaric Visigoth as he basically walks over Rodger Panzer in the opening of VFC 45. Securing a takedown almost immediately he improved his position at will, peppering the helpless Panzer with shots as he showed great patience before wrapping up the inevitable victory after 4:05 of Round 1 due to arm bar submission. This was as good a debut win as we’ve had in Valor FC for sure. The Welterweight division has found another very interesting prospect.

155: Johnny Deep v Barry “The Widowmaker” Windham

Barry Windham took Deep to the mat early in both Rounds of this fight as after 1:49 of Round 1 this was all over. It was surprising how little Deep had on the mat and how out of his depth he looked in reality but Windham came in with a good game plan, kept very busy on the mat and after much persistence finally got his submission win via kimura. This was a good showing from Windham who previously looked unconvincing at Lightweight; however he picked up a great win against a legitimate fighter here to improve to 2-1-0.

265: Jon “All Day” Alliss v Jose “The Bull” Toro

This bout between two very evenly matched men ended with Jose “The Bull” Toro securing a very late Round 1 win here. Both men were only interesting in taking this to the mat and securing top position, however Toro proved the more efficient at securing this as he took down Alliss three times in Round 1 before securing the arm bar submission at the 4:56 mark of Round 1. Alliss looked pretty upset at how late he tapped but Toro was the better fighter here in all aspects moving to 4-3-0 with this win.

185: Henry Dangerfield v Logan Evans

Henry Dangerfield started this fight doing exactly what he needed to do, get Logan Evans off his feet as we thought this would surely be a place he could take advantage of. However immediately from going to the mat Evans reversed Dangerfield to end up on top and immediately stood up. This took the heart of Dangerfield as Evans proceeded to condemn him to the mat twice before ending this fight after 2:28 of Round 1 via kimura after following him to the mat on the last knockdown. Logan Evans is back and now stands at 6-2-0 and continues to stalk the Middleweight crown that he once held.

205: Joe “Heavy” Hanner v “Lights Out” Brave Heart

Brave Heart destroys Joe Hanner here at Light-Heavyweight to end this feud once and for all as “Lights Out” gives arguably the best performance of his career here at VFC 45. Hanner missed with three takedowns in the opening period and this was really something he needed to dominate Brave Heart in to be successful. What really took us all by surprise was Brave Heart’s accuracy, he really hit Hanner with everything and secured the win after 1:19 of Round 1 after knocking down “Heavy” with a massive head kick and just followed up with bombs. Hanner has been defeat by Brave Heart twice now – But Brave Heart looks to be ready to really step up against the bigger men as this was an unbelievable performance that moves him to 6-2-0.

170: Scott Donavan v Garrett “F’n” Crosby

Garrett Crosby tried with 21 takedown attempts during the course of this contest that went to the judges, and scored with 1. This statistic really shows how bad Crosby wanted Donavan to the mat but in the end Donavan again, scores the win as his grinding style is really impressive. There wasn’t a great deal of action in this bout, both men were trying to counter so it wasn’t the rip roaring brawls that we are used to but this was still a pretty competitive bout. But can anyone provide an answer for the style that Donavan brings as he wraps up the 29:28 unanimous decision win here.

265: Mister Clutch v Chrissy “Boom Boom” Lad

“Boom Boom” sent Mister Clutch to the mat almost immediately in this one as he knew the clinch was coming, he timed it perfectly and caught Clutch on the way out with a big left and right, interestingly Chrissy Lad followed and started throwing bombs, Clutch did well to initially dodge the furious hands coming his way but in the end was overawed by the intensity of the shots from “Boom Boom” as Clutch was rocked then finished after just 1:01 of Round 1. Clutch was trying to dodge the bombs – But “Boom Boom” impressed greatly here moving to 4-0-0 beating what I consider a legitimate contender for the Heavyweight title. I think we’ll see Chrissy Lad against some of the best at 265 now after this destruction.

185: “The Gentleman” Kurt Kendall v Gene “The Executioner” Paolo Mac

It was a case of third time lucky for Kendall here as he shot out twice at the start of this bout, only to fail with the takedown and secure it upon the third effort as he immediately gave Gene Paolo Mac absolutely no room to manoeuvre here knowing how easily he could end this bout with a swing of his fist or more likely, his leg. Once on the mat, Kendall was a like a hot knife through “The Executioners” guard as he scored big with the arm bar submission after just 0:43 of Round 1. Paolo Mac will surely have to work on his ground game upon the review of the tapes here as Kendall came in and ruthlessly exposed his flaws.

155: Co Main Event: Kenneth “Boa Kahn” Smith v Anderson “Eisentower” Sharpe

Kenneth Smith defeats the previously undefeated Anderson Sharpe in this Lightweight bout as he makes “Eisentower” look remarkably ‘average’ in this one. Smith came out very aggressive scoring with some body shots, before cutting open Sharpe. Before Sharpe had any time to comprehend what was happening to him Smith shot in and secured the takedown as started off this fight in devastating fashion. Smith scored with some ground and pound whilst on top and from this position we knew there was only likely to be one winner as “Boa Kahn” went about suffocating Sharpe landing some more strikes opening up his cut even more before he was on the receiving end of some more dangerous strikes before the referee jumped in and declared this one over at 1:54 of Round 1. Kenneth Smith absolutely bossed Anderson Sharpe here and he can expect a meeting with the winner of Mike Martin or James Graves as they square off again at VFC 48.

185: Main Event: Samual “Screech” Powers v Corey “Skully” McKennedy

The Main Event of VFC 45 was the meeting of undefeated Samuel Powers and Corey McKennedy at VFC 45 for the Middleweight Championship of Valor FC. We found out here that Powers had the takedowns to get McKennedy to the mat, however McKennedy yet again came up with another string to his bow as he was often very easily able to improve his position on the mat and get back to the stand up as Powers could get the fight to the mat but couldn’t really do anything whilst there, looking back that could probably be the reason why he lost this bout as all judges scored this fight for McKennedy who once again dominates without finishing. “Screech” Powers managed to takedown McKennedy 9 times during the 25 minutes this bout lasted however he really could do nothing when on the mat with McKennedy able to almost immediately able to get to his feet where the devastating kicks of his really took away on the explosiveness of Powers takedowns. McKennedy peppered the legs and body of Powers with these kicks the whole fight as he was happy to keep the distance and punish Powers on the way in and out of his takedowns, this was another problem Powers had here as he didn’t mix his game up. He just was interested in taking it to the mat and I feel this is why the judges ‘penalised’ him here at VFC 45 scoring all rounds to the remaining Middleweight Champion, Corey McKennedy 45:50. Corey McKennedy now stands with a superb record of 7-0-0 and is still our Middleweight Champion.

VFC 46 ‘Winner takes all’ Preview

170: Nathan “The Peregrine” Falcon (1-3-0) v Rick “Big Dick” Johnson (5-7-0)

With both these fighters losing their last five combined fights, this is a must win for both as Rick Johnson with his good all round game must combat the Superb Muay Thai of Nathan Falcon here at Welterweight. Both men will be very eager to dodge the bullet and both know they cannot afford another defeat in Valor FC. A win is imperative for both men and we should see a competitive start to VFC 46 here. Valor Roulette is going with Falcon as a slight favourite here - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

170: Jack McCoy (2-4-0) v Pedro “Sweetness” Omar (3-3-0)

Another Welterweight bout next featuring two men off losses themselves as BJJ Brown grade Pedro Omar faces off against Superb Wrestler Jack McCoy. This should be an interesting bout to see which one of these grapplers can impose their will on the other; both will respect the talents of their opponent but equally will feel a win is very attainable here. McCoy will have to watch out for Omar’s submissions after his inevitable takedowns but I expect McCoy to get the better of any stand up, for this reason he is your pre fight favourite here - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

205: Robert Hurt (1-1-0) v Jagger Cyde (4-1-0)

This should be a very interesting bout at Light-Heavyweight as BJJ Brown grade, Robert Hurt takes on the better rounded, yet paradoxically not as talented, Jagger Cyde. Cyde has the much better record and will be fully confident in adding to his three career wins thus far but it will be interesting to see how his submission skills, where most of his career wins have come from, hold out against superior grappler, Robert Hurt. Hurt lost last time out, but can get a win here according to Valor Roulette - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

170: Jose “Bud Light” Thomas (3-0-0) v Tim Lasker (2-1-0)

Undefeated Jose Thomas makes his debut with Valor FC here at VFC 46 as this dangerous BJJ Purple grade has submitted all his opponents to date. Thomas also possesses Proficient Boxing to really present a tough assignment for anybody and he’ll be confident in making a name for himself in our Welterweight division. Across the cage on Thursday he’ll face Tim Lasker who holds a better all round game than Thomas and has knocked out his two opponents for his two career wins thus far and this promises to be one of the fights of the night in my estimation. I think Thomas will look for the mat, but can he take Lasker down? This fight probably hinges on this issue and Valor Roulette is taking Thomas to extend his undefeated record, personally I can’t pick a winner - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

205: Art “The Architect” Vandelay (5-3-0) v Dante Jones (4-2-1)

“The Architect” lost at VFC 38 on his debut for Valor FC against the wily veteran Bruce Lee, across the cage on Thursday this Strong Boxer, Competent Muay Thai fighter and Proficient Wrestler with Brown grade BJJ will look to bounce back against Dante Jones. Vandelay likes to use his submission skills to get his wins and this will be something Jones must be aware of – however, Vandelay also displayed at VFC 38 he is susceptible to submissions himself and it will be interesting to see how he approaches this fight with that in mind. Respectable Wrestler and Strong Boxer, Dante Jones has some heavy hands and he’ll want to keep this fight standing for sure. If he can I think he can have success against Vandelay, Vandelay will start this fight as favourite however Jones has the advantage of knowing he can end the fight with one good connection - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

185: Guilherme “Thunder” Diaz (5-4-0) v “The Chosen One” Jerome Carter (7-6-0)

Diaz suffered a big loss last time out as this wily veteran of Valor FC missed out on a title shot in losing at VFC 36; we wonder how he will bounce back against “The Chosen One” here at VFC 46. “Thunder” has Strong Boxing with Competent Wrestling and he’ll want to keep this fight standing for sure against Carter. Diaz isn’t noted for his finishing despite holding knock out power, instead he likes to outwork his opponents and this is something we’ll most likely see again here in this fight. Carter meanwhile boasts Proficient Wrestling with Respectable Boxing, I think that the smart money here is on Carter looking to take this to the mat and really smother Diaz but will he be able to secure a takedown? Carter is also off a loss and I await a keenly fought contest here at Middleweight between two of our most experienced and popular combatants. Valor Roulette thinks Diaz can take this one – but I expect this to be a war of attrition that could go either way as it reaches the judges - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

185: Aiden Jackson (5-2-0) v Wes Morris (4-2-0)

Fresh of a 16 second win at VFC 38, Aiden Jackson will bring his Respectable Boxing and Proficient Wrestling game, not to mention high level Purple grade BJJ to VFC 46 as he attempts to get back in the mix for a shot at Middleweight Champion, Corey McKennedy. Jackson in my opinion is certainly one of the most dangerous men in Middleweight as he holds KO power not to mention efficient submissions and it is also interesting to note that he has never been finished before by any opponent. I believe Jackson will come out and want to get another big win however so I expect him to stand with Proficient Boxer Wes Morris, who has won two in a row now and isn’t far away from where Jackson wants to be. Morris also holds Competent Wrestling and Purple grade BJJ making this a very even fight on paper. With both these men noted for their finishing, I think the only real thing I can say for any certainty about this bout is that, it won’t be going three rounds. Valor Roulette is leaving both men at the same price. Pick your man for this Middleweight war and enjoy - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

205:“Scooby” Chrissy Boy (5-1-0) v JT Carter (4-1-0)

With five career wins, five by (T) KO, Chrissy Boy truly does hold Wonderful Boxing and anything he hits seems to get destroyed and this man is one win away from a title shot at Light-Heavyweight emphasising just how important this bout is for “Scooby”. I expect him to come out and really try and end this one quickly as going too far in fights isn’t his forte as shown by his four consecutive first round stoppages in a row now. JT Carter faces an awesome task, but he can get himself in the title mix by claiming the win here himself. This fight has massive repercussions for the Light-Heavyweight division and with the main event being a bout between two men right at the top of the Light-Heavyweight chain, a big win for either man here could see them catapult into top position. JT Carter has won his last four bouts, he can’t be taken lightly as this Respectable Wrestler and Muay Thai practitioner will look to use his counter striking style to big effect here as we know Chrissy Boy is going to bring the fight. Can he take advantage of this? Valor Roulette has installed Chrissy Boy as the pre fight favourite, however Carter has a style that is tailor made for the aggressive fighter, this fight is going to be fun - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

170: Co Main Event: “Sneaky” Pete Greco (6-1-1) v Joshua “The Hammerin Heeb” Heines (4-0-0)

Undefeated in seven fights before losing his Welterweight title, Pete Greco has his sights set on a rematch sooner rather than later, should he get the win in this fight – He’ll be hard to say no to, this too is the case of his opponent in Joshua Heines as this is a massive battle here in our Co Main Event of the Evening between two of the very best in all of Valor FC. With Respectable Wrestling and the most dangerous BJJ in Valor FC, Pete Greco is going to try and take Heines to the mat and take an arm, a leg or whatever he can grab and rip it off as he is really that dangerous on the mat. Greco will look to counter into the takedown for sure, and these are really hard to defend which could cause Heines all sorts of problems as he looks to navigate his way around this considerable obstacle. Greco won’t cause any problems on his feet – but if Heines is too aggressive he’ll find himself being really taught a lesson on the mat. Coming into Valor FC, stopping all his opponents thus far in Round 1 via (T) KO “The Hammerin Heeb” has really made a name for himself as he has fastracked his way up the division in a really short space of time. Heines boast Strong Boxing and Respectable Wrestling, along with Blue grade BJJ but his hands are something else, Greco knows he can’t get hit by them, Heines knows he has to pick his spot. How will Heines approach this fight, will he let fly in his usual manner? This promises to be an absolutely intriguing matchup, Valor Roulette is going for Greco in this one – will he be able to get the takedown(s) he might need without getting caught? - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

205: Main Event: Bob Barker (12-5-0) v Michael “Punch Drunk” Balboa (11-3-0)

The Main Event of the Evening is the meeting of vastly experienced Light-Heavyweights Bob Barker and Michael Balboa as they attempt to force their way into contention at 205. Bob Barker will be making his debut with Valor FC and he brings a formidable game, Remarkable in both Boxing and Wrestling he also holds BJJ to Brown grade to ensure a logistical nightmare for any opponent to try and dissect. What is interesting however is that Barker has won more fights by decision than either (T) KO or Submission and this surely must give Michael Balboa something to think about as Barker is in superb condition and can clearly go the distance. Recently the Ethiopian, Barker has endured something of a mixed career, winning a few, then losing and generally being very inconsistent. He’ll not want this trend to continue here in Valor FC but he faces a very legitimate contender in “Punch Drunk” Thursday night, he’ll have to be 100% focused or he’ll find himself out cold. Michael Balboa is the best Boxer in Valor FC, at Sensational he has 8 of his 11 career wins coming by way of (T) KO. He isn’t as well rounded on paper as Bob Barker, but what he is, is certainly more fearsome as Barker has to avoid the bombs that this cerebral Boxer throws. On his debut, Balboa absolutely destroyed Former Light-Heavyweight Champion Fionn Mac Cumhaill landing an awesome amount of his offence, nearly 100% to the Irishman’s head and body in what turned out to be a one sided rout. I think common sense has us thinking that Barker will want to take this fight to the mat, and he certainly has the tools – but Balboa’s takedown defence is notoriously good, what will happen if this fight is left standing, Barker has a really good Boxing himself, but will he want to trade with Balboa? Can Balboa force Barker to trade with him? This fight certainly has all the makings of a classic, and with some of the best young talent in our Light-Heavyweight division breathing down these men’s necks tonight I fancy we’ll see a war. Valor Roulette is giving you great odds on both men, with their prices remaining the same here - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

VFC 47 Willwerth v Gunderson Preview.

185: Felix Smith (3-3-0) v Chris “Carni” Chain (2-3-0)

Proficient Boxer and Wonderful Wrestler, Felix Smith has a great talent but has recent put up some indifferent displays recently, picking a loss last time out indeed. Saturday night at VFC 47 he’ll take on the well rounded Chris Chain in a fight that is very important for the futures of both men. Both men have a habit of going the distance and I think this one won’t be any different, who has it in them to dig deep here? Valor Roulette installs Felix Smith as your pre fight favourite here - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

170: Robert “Vampire” Pattison (2-2-1) v “The Whirlwind” John Adams (4-3-1)

John Adams will come into this Welterweight bout as the favourite over Robert Pattison as he holds the advantage in two key areas with his Proficient Boxing and Purple grade BJJ, but “Vampire” is the better rounded fighter and surely will present a problem for “The Whirlwind”. The outcome to this fight will most likely revolve on which John Adams we see, the one we saw at VFC 37 or the John Adams which went on a three fight streak without a win. Valor Roulette places Adams as a tentative favourite here because Pattison can certainly take this one if all goes right for him - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

170: Philip Olsen (3-0-0) v Santana “Slick” Fritz (1-0-0)

With both men being undefeated this is an important meeting for both Philip Olsen and Santana Fritz here at Welterweight. Olsen boasts Purple grade BJJ and Proficient Boxing but has won all of his career bouts thus far via unanimous decision so he certainly can grind his way to a win. Can he do it Saturday night at VFC 47, The key to this bout surely will be if Fritz’s Respectable Wrestling will be enough to keep this fight standing so he can use his dangerous Superb Boxing, he won his last bout via (T) KO as evidence to this. Certainly Olsen will be looking to take this fight to the mat – but Valor Roulette thinks that Fritz is the man to break Olsen’s win streak - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

265: Jean “The Duck” Duc (5-3-0) v Waldo “W” Whip (3-1-0)

Jean “The Duck” Duc is possibly one of the best rounded fighters in all of Valor FC, from Paris, France BJJ Purple grade Duc has racked 4 of his 5 career wins via submission so Waldo Whip will certainly have a battle on his hands here against the more experienced fighter. This promises to be a really competitive bout for sure and fellow BJJ Purple grade Waldo Whip will most likely want to let his hands go a bit more in this fight with his Respectable Boxing, “W” also has Proficient Boxing so he does have all the tools to beat Duc but can he come up with a plan to defeat Duc? I expect this to be a really keenly fought contest and this is an outstanding test for both men. Valor Roulette is going with Whip, but only a fool would write off Valor FC veteran Jean Duc - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

155: Dino “Cleaver” Clavette (7-5-0) v Kimbo “Rush” Gracie (4-4-0)

On a three fight lose streak, Dino Clavette has been extremely unlucky as he’s fell short against some of the best Lightweights in all of New York but this Superb Boxer and Proficient Wrestler with Purple grade BJJ will be out to strike back with a win here against Kimbo Gracie for sure. “Cleaver” is known for his heavy hands with 3 of his 7 career wins coming by way to (T) KO but he more often than not likes to outwork his opponents and go the distance, will he be able to get back on the winning path against “Rush”? Kimbo Gracie will bring some Superb Boxing of his own, along with similar Purple grade BJJ and he also holds Competent rank in both Muay Thai and Wrestling but this is a very even bout to call especially considering Gracie is on a slump of his own losing two in a row now. Valor Roulette is going to leave this one open and reward your bravery; both men are being left at the same price - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

185: Nicholas “Native Pride” Hollsworth (3-3-0) v Abel “The Holy One” Silva (3-0-0)

This Middleweight bout is huge one for both men as Nicholas Hollsworth finds himself in a bit of a slump, losing the last two on the trot albeit via unanimous decision but “Native Pride” with his Wonderful Wrestling and Purple grade BJJ has the ground game to give anyone problems and it would appear that Abel Silva is certainly the type of opponent he will relish given that Proficient Muay Thai striker “The Holy One” hasn’t been tested on the mat as yet in his perfect career start. With Respectable Wrestling, Silva will hope this is enough to keep the fight standing as the evidence mounts in his career with some outstanding stoppages that he’ll have more than enough to end this bout should he be able to stop the takedowns that will come his way from the opening seconds. This fight is extremely hard to call - Can Hollsworth take it to the mat? I think he will but will he be able to finish? Valor Roulette doesn’t think so and installs “The Holy One” as a very slim favourite here - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

265: Chris “Douglas” Stone (3-0-0) v Karter “Cuter” Duxx (3-1-0)

Superb Wrestler, Chris Stone has now won all three of his opening career wins by taking his opponents down and beating them unconscious as this man has some nasty ground and pound, he’ll certainly need to do this to Karter Duxx here at VFC 46 because if he tries to stand with this Exceptional Boxer he’ll find himself on the end of some of his own medicine. It is the classic grappler against the striker, but Duxx in recent times has displayed some improved Wrestling, which is now at Respectable level. Will this be enough to keep it standing? It will be interesting to see how he copes if he goes to the mat because Valor Roulette can’t see past “Douglas” to extend his winning record here - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

155: Clayton Daniels (4-0-0) v Urinus Limberdinkle (5-0-0)

This is a massive Lightweight battle here between two of the best young combatants in the division as undefeated Clayton Daniels takes on undefeated Urinus Limberdinkle with the winner looking really close to a title shot at our Lightweight Championship. With Superb Muay Thai, Respectable Wrestling and Blue grade BJJ Clayton Daniels has displayed evidence of some knockout power, but he has won 3 of his 4 career wins by way of unanimous decision. Across the cage on Saturday he’ll face off against Urinus Limberdinkle who holds Respectable Muay Thai, Proficient Wrestling and Blue grade BJJ in what promises to be a superb battle. Limberdinkle also has the majority of his wins by decision but he too has displayed KO power so this fight literally could go either way, at either time. It will be very interesting as to the tactics that both men bring to the cage here on Saturday night and I think that this fight will be won and lost in this area with both men being so close skill wise. Valor Roulette has Limberdinkle as the slightest of favourites, but there is nothing between these men in truth - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

205: Co Main Event: Brad “Hat Trick” Charyak (5-2-0) v “Warrior Chieftain” Fionn Mac Cumhaill (6-3-0)

Brad Charyak made his debut in Valor FC at VFC 40 and ended his bout in 0:39 of Round 1 in a hugely impressive debut win here, which sets him up nicely in this battle against former Light-Heavyweight Champion Fionn Mac Cumhaill here at VFC 46. “Hat Trick” is certainly the more talented fighter on paper, he boasts Proficient Boxing and Superb Muay Thai along with Superb Wrestling with Purple grade BJJ but the problem with that is, paper will mean nothing in this fight. Charyak has won all of his fights with his striking and we all know that Mac Cumhaill is a great grappler so the stage is set for Mac Cumhaill to come right after Charyak and try and put him on his back without taking too many shots. “The Warrior Chieftain” has Proficient Boxing and Wrestling but it his Brown grade BJJ that really is his most dangerous tool as he has won all his career bouts via submission. Mac Cumhaill has a good chin, but he’ll not want to take too many shots as he certainly chases the takedown, I’ll be very interested to see which way Charyak reacts should he hit the mat because he has never come up against a grappler of Mac Cumhaill’s level as yet. Valor Roulette installs “Hat Trick” as the favourite here, but if he gets too aggressive and hits the mat – I think the Irishman could spring a big surprise - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

170: Main Event: Dennis Willwerth (9-5-0) v Phil “The Machine” Gunderson (6-3-0)

The Main Event of the Evening is for the Welterweight Championship of Valor FC with Dennis Willwerth providing the first opposition for recently crowned Phil “The Machine” Gunderson. Dennis Willwerth will come to the cage armed with a dangerous skill set Strong Boxing, Competent Muay Thai and Respectable Wrestling with Brown grade BJJ and with 4 of his career wins coming by way of (T) KO he certainly can do some damage with his hands and this surely will be an avenue he’ll be looking to explore in this bout. Willwerth has enjoyed a fairly inconsistent career thus far, a win tends to follow a loss but he’s pulled out some really big wins when they matter and his win over Jay White at VFC 41 was enough to secure him this shot. Can he make use of it? He certainly is up against it, as it anyone who steps into the cage with the newly serene Phil Gunderson who now has racked up three wins in a row all by (T) KO to rise to the top of the pile at Welterweight. Gunderson can call on Wonderful Boxing and Wrestling, with Remarkable Muay Thai and Brown grade BJJ to really present an awesome challenge to anyone, but, he is prone to really poor performances and Willwerth will be hoping Saturday night is one of those you have to think. It is interesting to note that Victor Ramos a really hard hitter finished Gunderson in his Valor FC debut, so Willwerth can take heart from that but you feel Gunderson is going to be a massive task for anyone to scale – Valor Roulette has “The Machine” as the big pre fight favourite here, can Willwerth shock the world? - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

VFC 46 ‘Winner takes all’ Review.

170: Nathan “The Peregrine” Falcon v Rick “Big Dick” Johnson

The opening to VFC 46 saw Nathan “The Peregrine” Falcon give Rick Johnson a real lesson in the values of clinch work as he destroyed Valor FC veteran Rick Johnson, with a combination of elbows and knees to the head and body in the clinch position. Johnson went for a huge amount of takedowns in the fight, whilst he missed with the vast majority he did land some but he found Falcon a tough nut to crack here. It’s Falcon with the win as he moves to 2-3-0 with this win.

170: Jack McCoy v Pedro “Sweetness” Omar

This Welterweight bout was an interesting tussle between a high level wrestler and a high level grappler and it was the grappler, Pedro Omar who took the win here as Jack McCoy will feel this is a fight than really got away from him. McCoy done all the work in the bout, attempting some submissions with some ground and pound but Omar was always likely to hit a reverse and this is exactly what happened as “Sweetness” picked up the win after 4:05 of Round 1 with an Americana submission win. It was interesting to note that Omar couldn’t take down McCoy, but he could punish McCoy from his own aggression to move to 4-3-0 here.

205: Robert Hurt v Jagger Cyde

Try as he may, Robert Hurt just couldn’t get the dangerous Jagger Cyde to the mat and this cost him as he took a real beating in the stand up here in this Light-Heavyweight bout. With 31 attempted takedowns and only 1 success, Jagger Cyde really landed some big offence on Hurt and if he is being super critical, he probably should have ended the bout such was his level of domination. In the end Jagger Cyde had to settle for a 25:30 unanimous decision across the board from the judges as reward for his efforts here. Cyde moves to 5-1-0 here in very impressive style and this was quite a debut win here.

170: Jose “Bud Light” Thomas v Tim Lasker

Jose Thomas showed us exactly why he remains undefeated here as this impressively durable character was really outclassed by Tim Lasker in this Welterweight bout, only to steal a real come from behind win here at VFC 46. Lasker took the fight to the mat twice, Thomas did nothing really but it was him who managed to improve his position and wrap up the arm bar submission after 4:44 of Round 1. Tim Lasker however will be devastated at how this fight ended and will know he only has to make minor changes in order to be a real contender here.

205: Art “The Architect” Vandelay v Dante Jones

Dante Jones and Art Vandelay conspired to put on a real classic here at VFC 46 as these Light-Heavyweights really went after each other, it was interesting to note that Dante Jones battered up “The Architect” here in Round 1 despite landing a lot less blows than Vandelay forcing “The Architect” to take this fight to the mat, once on the mat however – Vandelay looked a lot more fluid and this was the foundation for his win that was to come in Round 2. Round 2 started with Dante Jones coming out with that wild aggressive style looking to put away Vandelay, and it was his own aggression that perhaps cost him as yet again Vandelay was able to get Jones to the mat, this time however he had plenty of time to work and after 2:04 of Round 2 “The Architect” had taken this fight via arm triangle submission to move to an impressive 6-3-0.

185: Guilherme “Thunder” Diaz v “The Chosen One” Jerome Carter

A great bout at Middleweight between “Thunder” Diaz and Jerome Carter saw this one go the distance; Diaz came out in this bout and really impressed me with his hands as he destroyed Carter in Round 1 nearly ending the bout on two occasions. In Round 2 Carter was able to use his Wrestling advantage to slow down “Thunder’s” attacks by taking him to the mat and clinching up to control him rather than inflict any damage. Into Round 3 this was anyone’s fight and it was Diaz who managed to take control taking this fight into the clinch at will and really seeing out the round with ease. Carter seemed reluctant to go to the mat with Diaz and his superior BJJ, but Diaz left Carter really at sea with the vast improvement in his stand up. It’s Guilherme Diaz who moves to 6-4-0 and impresses greatly here after this 29:28 decision victory.

185: Aiden Jackson v Wes Morris

Right from the off, Aiden Jackson cut Morris wide open to show just how dangerous he is but there wasn’t much longer to go in this fight as these men went right at each other with both men missing more than scoring showing due to their aggression. Morris then returned the favour inflicting a cut upon Aiden Jackson as he staggered him before landing the left and right followed by another left that ended this fight after 1:16 of Round 1. This was the biggest win of Morris’ career as he really picked up a huge scalp here in Aiden Jackson; Wes Morris is in the form of his life and now moves to 5-2-0 with this massive win.

205:“Scooby” Chrissy Boy (5-1-0) v JT Carter “Scooby” Chrissy Boy moves to 6-1-0 as he wraps up an ultra quick win here at VFC 46 stopping JT Carter after just 0:25 of Round 1 to move onto a shot at the Light-Heavyweight Championship of the World. Chrissy Boy has now won five consecutive fights and he has won all these bouts in Round 1 to really rocket up the rankings. He’ll face the winner of Manuel Padilla and Milan Lucic who face off this Friday at VFC 48 ‘Clash of the Titans’.

170: Co Main Event: “Sneaky” Pete Greco v Joshua “The Hammerin Heeb” Heines

The Co Main Event was the big meeting at Welterweight between former Champion, Pete Greco and hugely impressive stand up fighter, Joshua Heines. Before this fight we wondered how both men would cope if they had to face the strength of the other for an extended period and we got all the answers to that here as this fight went the distance. Greco managed to takedown Joshua Heines here once in each round, but it was surprising to me just how well “The Hammerin Heeb” coped when on the mat managing with the dangerous submission fighter in Pete Greco. When the fight was standing, Heines was able to pretty much have his way with Greco and this was how the fight went really with Greco only securing 3 takedowns in 12 attempts to leave him really out at sea here against Heines and his dangerous stand up game. Heines managed to land a large amount of his offence as he went on to take the 27:30 unanimous decision across the board here to improve to 5-0-0 and move on to a title shot with VFC Welterweight Champion, Phil Gunderson. This fight is due to take place, September 2nd, at VFC 51 due to take place in Hayashi’s lounge. Can hugely popular young superstar Joshua Heines complete his unbelievable rise to the top? This man has the power to get to anyone, Gunderson will know this, and Heines has a massive chance in that fight.

205: Main Event: Bob Barker v Michael “Punch Drunk” Balboa

Over after 1:41 of Round 1 Bob Barker sends out a real signal of intent to the Light-Heavyweight division as he absolutely destroys Michael Balboa here at VFC 46, Barker knew that Balboa could put anyone away standing up but this fight immediately went to the mat with a double leg into half guard, Barker immediately passed and landed some massive shots cutting Balboa open, Barker seemed to get more aggressive with the more blood and continued to hammer down shots at “Punch Drunk”. Eventually the Doctor stepped in to look at the face of Balboa and called a halt to this fight, it was a sensational start to life in Valor FC for Barker as he immediately puts himself in title contention with a massive win here to end a great night of action at VFC 46.

VFC 47 Willwerth v Gunderson Review.

185: Felix Smith v Chris “Carni” Chain

Felix Smith dominated Chris Chain here in this Middleweight bout, Chain couldn’t get Smith to the mat in 19 attempts whilst Smith scored a huge 16 of 16 attempts which really was the story here as Smith secured a dominating 30:25 decision win.

170: Robert “Vampire” Pattison v “The Whirlwind” John Adams

John Adams much improved Boxing saw him bag a big win here in this Welterweight bout as he outscored Robert Pattison with relative ease here. Both these men looked very evenly matched in the grappling stakes however Adams was the much more aggressive fighter standing up and this was the real reason for his win, with Adams nearly securing the stoppage in Round 2 before eventually going on to take the 26:30 decision across the board.

170: Philip Olsen v Santana “Slick” Fritz

Philip Olsen managed to survive the spirited challenge of Santana Fritz here in this Welterweight bout, Olsen was more than capable of trading with Fritz but we knew he would try and get it to the mat to make use of his superior grappling. Olsen managed to do this on a few occasions; however this fight was pretty much a stand up duel with Fritz seemingly getting the better of Olsen in this respect. This fight went the distance and I was surprised when Olsen secured the 29:28 win which must have been razor close, I thought a draw would have been more appropriate but Olsen will care not for my thoughts and remains undefeated to move to 4-0-0, Olsen now faces an interesting bout with BJJ Black grade, David Shields in what will be a great test for both men.

265: Jean “The Duck” Duc v Waldo “W” Whip

Jean Duc immediately took this fight to the mat, and was immediately swept and following this was devastated by Waldo Whip, Duc tried to sink in some submissions from bottom, but Whip patiently swatted them away before landing some of the nastiest Ground and Pound we’ve seen of him yet as he literally beat Duc until the fight was stopped due to the lacerations on Duc’s face. Whip moves to 4-1-0 with this win and he easily swept aside the challenge of a man that I thought would present him with a big test.

155: Dino “Cleaver” Clavette v Kimbo “Rush” Gracie

Kimbo Gracie ends Dino Clavette’s very disappointing term in Valor FC on a sour note as he takes the unanimous decision here in this Lightweight bout as he pretty much bossed “Cleaver” who was only interested in taking the fight to the mat as Gracie managed to squash 12 of 13 attempts from Clavette whilst being more successful with his own takedowns. Gracie seemed to favour the leg kicks to slow down Clavette and this was a tactic that clearly worked as this fight was pretty much a one sided affair and Gracie gratefully took the win to improve to 5-4-0. Gracie displayed a good all round game here and this was really the difference between the two men in the end, Gracie begins his assent back up the Lightweight ladder here.

185: Nicholas “Native Pride” Hollsworth v Abel “The Holy One” Silva

Abel Silva was previously undefeated coming into this bout, however he displayed some very curious tactics here, attempting nothing only head kicks and he was punished in ruthless manner by Wonderful Wrestler and Purple grade BJJ fighter Nicholas Hollsworth as he was relentless in his takedowns during the course of this Middleweight bout. “Native Pride” wasn’t necessarily damaging however his superior ground game earned him a well earned 29:28 decision win here and Silva loses his perfect record here in the process. This is a great scalp for Hollsworth and moves to 4-3-0 with it.

265: Chris “Douglas” Stone v Karter “Cuter” Duxx

What a performance from Karter Duxx as he destroys previously undefeated Chris Stone here at Heavyweight in a big battle between two of the most promising prospects in the division. This fight lasted less than a minute as Duxx clinched up at will, delivering some nasty elbows and dirty boxing really messing up the helpless Chris Stone. Duxx’s uppercuts were really on show here as he sent Stone to the mat not once, but twice during the course of this mauling. Karter Duxx comes from nowhere to really become a contender with the performance of a lifetime and moves to 4-1-0.

155: Clayton Daniels v Urinus Limberdinkle

In a very close Lightweight bout featuring two men we have great hopes for in Valor FC, Clayton Daniels ended the previously perfect record of Urinus Limberdinkle to extend his own perfect record to 5-0-0 in a bout that must have been incredibly hard to score. The decision was 29:28 but this fight is one of those fights where you really have to see it and pick your own as opinions will divide on this one. For sure Daniels had the better of the stand up displaying his Muay Thai with some punishing leg kicks during the course of the bout as well as showing off his clinch work as he scored well with knees to the body and head of Limberdinkle who didn’t really offer much by way of stand up which more than likely cost him at least a draw in this bout. Limberdinkle was only interested in going to the mat; however, Daniels had him well scouted and was able to push off his takedown attempts with surprising ease during the course of this bout causing Limberdinkle to score with only 3 of 19 attempts during the course of the three rounds. When on the mat Limberdinkle showed great aggression but in the end it wasn’t to be his night as Daniels showed great composure and managed to see out the bout here with relative ease as Limberdinkle chased hard still for takedowns.

205: Co Main Event: Brad “Hat Trick” Charyak v “Warrior Chieftain” Fionn Mac Cumhaill

The Co Main Event was a one sided domination as Brad “Hat Trick” Charyak absolutely bossed former Light-Heavyweight Champion Fionn Mac Cumhaill destroying him in the clinch and scoring with almost everything he attempted in a very impressive display from the newest challenger to our Light-Heavyweight Champion, Milan Lucic. Mac Cumhaill tried in vain throughout the course of this bout to escape the clinch, but time and time again he was caught and could not get away as he received a bad a beating as anyone has in Valor FC. All credit to the Irishman for not being stopped, but there was never any danger that he could catch Charyak who just looked on a different level. Charyak’s accuracy was just scary here and he is especially dangerous in the clinch, his attention turned already to Bob Barker as these two square off at VFC 52 with the winner certainly assured of a shot at the Light-Heavyweight title in what promises to be one of the most anticipated fights of September.

170: Main Event: Dennis Willwerth v Phil “The Machine” Gunderson

This fight lasted all of 2:56 of Round 1 as Phil “The Machine” Gunderson runs over Dennis Willwerth in his first title defence. Willwerth didn’t get the chance to even land a shot on the super elusive Gunderson before he was finished via KO as Gunderson landed at ease with almost everything he attempted during the course of this Welterweight title bout. It was an interesting tactic of Gunderson’s to work the body of Willwerth’s and it was apparent he wanted to really make Willwerth think here as he then switched to attacking the head connecting with a few dangerous head kicks before this fight was eventually resolved with the rocked Willwerth being caught with a right hand and a left hook that ended his challenge. Gunderson looked simply irresistible on his first defence but he won’t have much time to pat himself on the back over this one as he will now have the task of inflicting the first defeat on unbeaten Joshua Heines as these two clash at VFC 51 on the Main Event for the Welterweight Championship. Gunderson will certainly come into that fight as the favourite, however Heines has finished 4 of his 5 opponents thus far in Round 1 so he has the hands to get to anyone. Gunderson will know this and you can expect him to be ready at VFC 51 as on this evidence, it’s going to take a mammoth task to prize away his title.

VFC 48 ‘Clash of the Titans’ Preview.

VFC 48 is sponsored by Australian Xtreme NEW 159 Energy, if you’re in need of some supplements from a real on the level company (I’ve personally tested them) please visit Silver here –

http://www.mmatycoon.com/nutritionpublic.php?ncid=1328

You’ll also be helping out one of the guys who have made Valor FC what it is today as he has some great fighters here. Please go and take a look around, thanks.

185: Shawn “Bullet” Hawkings (4-2-1) v Jon Pearl (3-2-1)

With all the wins thus far in Shawn Hawkings career coming by way of decision, it’s fair to say at VFC 48 we’ll witness “Bullet” again try and outwork his opponent and grind out another win here as this Proficient Boxer and Competent Wrestler squares off against Competent Wrestler and BJJ Blue grade Jon Pearl. Pearl has picked up 2 of his 3 career wins by way of submission so it will be interesting to see if Hawkings chooses to try and make this a stand up bout. This should be a good way to start off an excellent night of action and Valor Roulette is giving big odds on Pearl here with Hawkings a pre fight favourite here - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

265: Alan “Dunner” Dunne (3-1-0) v Titan Jackson (7-5-0)

Well rounded Irishman, Alan Dunne picked up a debut win in Valor FC at VFC 42 with a unanimous decision win over AJ Matthews and presumably he’ll be looking to build on that at VFC 48 as he faces off against the vastly experienced Titan Jackson. “Dunner” does hold knockout power and has displayed that; he’ll be hoping he can at VFC 48 because Jackson is a big step up in competition for him. Coming to the cage with Competent Boxing and Muay Thai, Titan Jackson is a good striker however he seems to rely on accuracy because he’s only finished 1 of his 7 career wins by strikes – this will be something that will perhaps persuade Dunne to give him a real go here and this one could really go either way. Jackson however is on a two fight win streak and Valor Roulette thinks he’ll be able to outfox young gun Dunne here - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

205: Tyrus “Iron Chin” Wilson (4-2-0) v Ian “Unfinished Monkey Business” Brown (2-0-0)

Proficient Muay Thai and Wrestling is what Tyrus Wilson brings to the cage here in this Light-Heavyweight bout, “Iron Chin” most likely will have to prove his nickname true once again however as he takes on undefeated prospect Ian Brown Friday night. With Strong Boxing and Wrestling and having finished his last two opponents with strikes, Brown is taking a step up in competition here as he takes on the dangerous Wilson but both these men are quite evenly matched and this promises to be a real test for both men at such an early stage of their careers. Can Brown extend his winning run? Valor Roulette takes him to do so as he is a slim pre fight favourite here - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

155: Drew Price (6-5-0) v Madden Rush (8-5-0)

Dangerous BJJ grappler Drew Price will bring his Brown grade BJJ game to VFC 48 here, not only that but he also boasts Proficient Wrestling along with Superb Boxing as he looks to gain another win here in Valor FC. 5 of Price’s 6 career wins have come by way of submission and he’ll not be springing any surprises here as he will be looking to get this fight to the mat as soon as possible and find a way to tap out Madden Rush. Price might not have to wait too long before this one hits the mat however as he takes on Superb Wrestler and fellow BJJ Brown grade – Madden Rush. Rush also can call upon Wonderful Boxing but in truth this will be an almost exclusively ground based fight. Rush has dropped his last two fights and is furious at himself for this so expect to see a real attitude in this man as he takes to the cage Friday night – Price won’t care for this sentiment however and will be looking to let Rush be aggressive in the hope of catching him. This one should be a real interesting bout and I think it could go either way, despite Rush being the more talented fighter, he just hasn’t been doing it recently and this will give Price a great deal of confidence. Valor Roulette goes with Rush as the pre fight favourite, just about - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

170: Dan Hedwig (8-4-0) v Jay White (6-2-1)

It goes to show what a stacked card VFC 48 is when Dan Hedwig and Jay White find themselves this far down the card because both men are huge names in our Welterweight division and I think this one has the potential to steal the show. Since losing to Pete Greco for the Welterweight title, Hedwig has been fairly inconsistent with a win usually following a loss but this Superb Muay Thai fighter and Wrestler will be looking to put this to bed here. Hedwig has improved Boxing, up to Competent level now and it will be interesting to see how that changes his approach to some bouts now starting with the big ask of Jay White at Welterweight. Jay White has come into Valor FC and dropped a razor close decision to Dennis Willwerth, however this man remains very popular and with his Strong Boxing and Proficient Wrestling game, he’ll be hoping his Competent Muay Thai will be good enough to dodge the dangerous clinch work of Hedwig. White is certainly the more explosive man in this bout, he has won all his 6 career wins by (T) KO and you get the feeling Hedwig will want to smother him so he can’t land any of those game breaking bombs. Will he be able to do so? If White gets through this one could be over and Valor Roulette recognises this in its odds, with Jay White being installed as the pre fight favourite here, Hedwig will relish playing the underdog for a change - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

265: Ales Zhandunka (5-4-0) v Richtor “Earthquake” Schkayle (5-1-0)

Ales Zhandunka will come to the cage with his Wonderful Boxing game and much improved Strong Wrestling with two goals: Keep the fight standing, and take Schkayle’s head off with his concrete hands. Zhandunka has already shown he can hang with the very best in Valor FC, this will be a big test for him however as he takes on “Earthquake” who is on a bit of a streak at the moment. Richtor Schkayle has won his last four bouts; one more really has to put him in the top 5 at Heavyweight and with 4 of his 5 career wins coming by way of (T) KO. This fight can really only end one way you feel. Schkayle brings Strong Muay Thai and Competent Wrestling and if Schkayle has to dodge the hands of Zhandunka, then the same must be said of Zhandunka with the kicks of Schkayle which must be absolutely horrible to take. This is going to be a war – Pick your winner here, both men start at the same price as Valor Roulette can’t pick a winner - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

265: Bryce “The Vyce” Gryce (7-2-0) v Ernesto “Che” Guevara (5-2-0)

“The Vyce” has come into Valor FC perhaps somewhat under the radar, but make no mistake about it, this man is for real and is going to be a big test for anyone in Valor FC. Friday night on his debut, he’ll help us promote our biggest card to date as he takes on the ever damaging Ernesto Guevara at Heavyweight. The Canadian Gryce has won his last three on the trot as this Respectable Boxer and Superb Wrestler has displayed real power but it is his BJJ Brown grade that is really what will cause Guevara some problems you feel during the course of this bout. Gryce is very hard to predict, he has mixed his wins up quite well but recently his striking has taken off, it remains to be seen however if he’ll want to bang with a striker of the calibre of Exceptional Boxer Ernesto Guevara. “Che” also holds Strong Wrestling and I think his takedown defence will really dictate what direction this fight takes – I think for sure “The Vyce” will want to turn this into a grappling contest; this is something that will not interest Guevara at all who has racked up 4 of 5 career wins by brutal (T) KO. Last time out, Guevara sent out a warning shot to the Heavyweight division with his absolutely dismantling of Constantine I the Great – Valor Roulette feels this alone is enough to warrant Guevara as the favourite for this one, Gryce you feel will be happy to stay out of the limelight, however if this one hits the mat, you feel he’ll be catapulted into it with a submission win - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

155: James “J-Digz” Graves (7-1-1) v Mike “The Maniac” Martin (8-3-0)

Next we have a big rematch for our Lightweight Championship; with Kenneth Smith on the horizon for the winner here we await the outcome of Graves/Martin II. On any other night this would be the Main Event but at VFC 48 it is part of three main events as Valor Roulette looks to set Liberty Dome alight here. In the first bout between these men, Graves was convinced he was robbed by the judges, he felt he won at least three of the five rounds as that fight went the distance. The judges scored the fight 45:50 across the board to the Champion Mike “The Maniac” Martin however and Graves was the profit of timing and some good luck and got his rematch instantly. The question for Graves is, what can he do different in this fight? In the first meeting he didn’t really land that much on Martin, compared to vice versa but he did seem to have some success with his kicking. Certainly Graves can’t afford to get hit as many times as he did the last time and that certainly influenced the scoring against him especially as he was clearly rocked in the first last time out. Fight one went the distance and didn’t hit the mat once, will the same happen again with these men just going to war? I don’t think so, I think we’ll see both men attempt to get the definitive win here and really move away from this issue. Graves suffered the first defeat of his career last time out; he’ll yet again be bringing his Remarkable Boxing, Respectable Muay Thai and Superb Wrestling with Purple grade BJJ as he attempts to gain a measure of revenge for this one as he looks to take the judges out of the equation this time. Our Lightweight Champion Mike “The Maniac” Martin has nothing to prove he feels, the only man ever to hold our Lightweight title Martin has now won five consecutive bouts in Valor FC to stand out as a true Champion. With Remarkable Boxing and Respectable Muay Thai of his own, Martin concedes Strong Wrestling to Graves but holds superior BJJ Brown level grappling. This fight promises to be a war, both men really respect the ground work of the other – But they seem happy to trade shots, the first fight was a war Martin won. Graves doesn’t want this the second time around and I think you’ll see him really come out aggressive here. Valor Roulette installs the Champion as the big pre fight favourite here, Graves can takes this one however make no mistake and you get generous odds on it - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

205: Co Main Event: “The Terminator” Manuel Padilla (6-1-0) v Milan Lucic (10-3-0)

The only loss previously in Manuel Padilla’s career was on his first outing in Valor FC when he lost ironically challenging for the Light-Heavyweight strap. Here at VFC 48 he’ll be hoping to avoid that feeling of déjà vu as he once again steps into our cage to challenge for the same title. “The Terminator” has 5 of 6 career wins by way of (T) KO and he certainly has the power to damage Lucic, if he can keep this fight standing his chances will improve almost tenfold but that really is the key – Can he keep it standing? Padilla has recently been working on his wrestling and it has noticeably improved, he brushed aside the Wonderful Wrestling of Pesho Talpata and powerful takedowns of Bruce Lee to get himself into another shot at the title so that is testament to how improved he has become and I think he’ll certainly know that Lucic will want to throw in a few shots to mix it up in this bout. Padilla knows he is up against it, Lucic is a beast of a man and is far more experienced but he has absolutely nothing to lose and everything to gain so I expect Padilla to come out and really give this one a go and anything can happen when you have the power that he does. Lucic is the undisputed Light-Heavyweight Champion of Valor FC with big wins over Alexander Paredao and Marius Budawalski as evidence of this. Lucic boasts Remarkable Boxing and Respectable Muay Thai as he is a dangerous stand up fighter, but he holds Strong Wrestling to boot and he can really cause trouble for anyone he comes up against. With 7 of 10 career wins coming by way to (T) KO he won’t be afraid to trade with Padilla, but it wouldn’t be smart to get involved in a situation that increases your opponent’s chances of winning, so I can see us being shown exactly what Lucic has on the mat here at VFC 48. Lucic can be knocked out; we’ve seen that he can, and that will certainly be in Padilla’s head as he faces a really mammoth task here. Its Rocky IV stuff as Lucic starts this fight as a huge favourite over Filipino Padilla. Anyone taking a shot at Padilla? Valor Roulette giving big odds on the upset here - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

265: Main Event: Vlad “The Impaler” Tepes (6-1-0) v John J Rambo (8-0-0)

The Main Event of VFC 48 certainly isn’t going to be a case of hoping for the underdog win as this is a battle between currently the two baddest men in all of Valor FC. Winning their last twelve combined fights between them, with eight by way of (T) KO you suddenly get the picture of what is ahead as the biggest event in Valor FC history is headlined here by the biggest fight in Valor FC history as Vlad Tepes and John J Rambo go at it again. Valor FC only had hopes of being where it is now, back when Tepes and Rambo first met and indeed most of the people reading this wouldn’t have been with the company when that fight happened way back at VFC 13 ‘For Whom The Bell Tolls’. It was over in Round 1 with John J Rambo taking the win via submission but that wasn’t the whole story, Vlad Tepes had the fight won in the opening seconds, he put Rambo where nobody else has put him since and had him beat, back to mat in serious trouble. Only he didn’t apply the pressure after, instead he let him get back up only to clutch defeat from the jaws of victory.

You can view that fight here - http://www.mmatycoon.com/fightcommentary.php?FTID=124188

Fast forward some five months, Rambo is still the undefeated Champion and Vlad Tepes has won four straight to get back to the top of the ladder. What will be different from the first fight? Very little in my considered opinion as far as styles go, if this one isn’t settled by (T) KO I’ll be very surprised as Wonderful Boxer, Strong Muay Thai and Competent Wrestler Vlad “The Impaler” Tepes bids to become only the second Heavyweight Champion in the history of Valor FC and the first to defeat the controversial Rambo. It will be interesting to see how Rambo copes with Tepes kicks, they are now on a vastly improved level from the first bout and that is what got him in trouble way back then, will he be able to dodge them? Having defended his title six times you would think that Rambo is easily the most marketable character in our Company, well, to a certain extent that is correct however some of his actions pre and post fights have left a sour taste, known for his outbursts to opponents Rambo is a polarising character in Valor FC and you certainly will find a lobby of people hoping for a Tepes win due to his actions. Taking personality aside however, Rambo will bring his Wonderful Boxing game and Competent Wrestling to the cage Friday night – Rambo also has the better BJJ but I don’t think that will become an issue in this fight really as Rambo hopes to extend his undefeated record to an incredibly nine. Both men are natural finishers, this one going the distance isn’t very likely but if it does go the distance you have to feel that will benefit the Champion who has experienced going all five Championship rounds. What a way to end the night – This is going to be a huge fight and you’d be crazy not to make it to Liberty Dome for this one, Valor Roulette goes with the Champion as the pre fight favourite, but this one is a coin toss according to many people - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=109

  • 4 weeks later...

First of all, thanks to every manager in Valor FC for being patient with the lack of public progress recently. I greatly appreciate everyone’s patience – and stay tuned for a few interesting announcements coming up in the future.

Also, Valor Roulette will be back in action for this event, VFC 53 Barker v Charyak. Interestingly now it will be a bookies that I own, so I imagine that we’ll have a lot more people willing to take me to the cleaners.

Preview of VFC 53 Barker v Charyak – This event is sponsored by MFS Voodoo Labs > 159 Energy - $79.99 - http://www.mmatycoon.com/nutritionpublic.php?ncid=1092 this is a legit product that I can personally vouch for and all support will be greatly appreciated. Please check out the excellent product that Steven over at MFS Voodoo Labs has put together.

205: “El Cigano” Jose Landoes (1-1-0) v “Cabernelli” Everth Cabaret (0-1-0)

The opener to VFC 53 is between Wonderful Boxer Jose Landoes and Wonderful Wrestler, Everth Cabaret; this fight is pretty open and shut, if “Cabernelli” doesn’t get Landoes to the mat he’ll be picked apart for sure. If he scores with the takedown, I expect him to score the opening win he craves. Both men are coming off losses but Valor Roulette installs Everth Cabaret as the favourite here - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=1103

265: Rasheed “The Great” Tyree (3-0-0) v Jay Trainertoo (2-1-0)

Rasheed “The Great” Tyree has come into Valor FC with a perfect record of 3-0-0 and this very good all round fighter can certainly make an impact in our Heavyweight division but he’ll get his initial inspection from BJJ Brown grade Jay Trainertoo here in what promises to be a very close fought battle. Both men are best on the mat but you expect that “The Great” will recognise that he doesn’t have to get involved in a grappling contest with a superior grade here – If Rasheed can keep the fight standing he has more than Trainertoo, I expect that to be the difference, Tyree’s better all round skills. Valor Roulette installs “The Great” as a favourite here - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=1103

170: Philip Olsen (4-0-0) v “The American Assassin” David Shields (0-0-0)

The highly anticipated debut of BJJ Black belt David Shields is at VFC 53 as he takes on undefeated Philip Olsen in what promises to be a fascinating encounter at Welterweight here. Philip Olsen has defeated everyone in his path thus far by grinding out decision wins but “The American Assassin” is coming into Valor FC with a great reputation and this certainly will be a step up for Olsen. Olsen and Shields both possess Proficient Boxing but you have to believe that Shields is going to want to showcase his BJJ here and with Strong Wrestling to boot. I don’t see how he can’t take this fight to the mat. Olsen however does have the advantage in knowing he can handle pressure when it’s on. We know Shields can grapple, but can he fight? This fight will really tell us a lot about both men, Valor Roulette installs Black belt Shields as the favourite, but that is purely because of aesthetic reasons - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=1103

265: Andy “The Monster” Kline (8-6-0) v William Cunha (4-1-0)

Andy Kline has been on a severe downward spiral since he lost in his title fight against John J Rambo some time ago, he has now lost three in a row and it appears “The Monster” is now inside his own head as he struggles to put together any kind of form. This BJJ Brown grade is a dangerous man on the mat with 6 of 8 career wins coming by way of submission and he needs some sort of spark because the talent is there, you can’t get a title shot in any organisation without talent. Can Kline pull himself together? William Cunha dropped a decision loss last time out but in this, he showed a hell of a chin and the heart of a lion, he impressed greatly even in defeat and this Remarkable Boxer has exactly the kind of game which has been known to trouble Kline, can he stop the inevitable takedowns that Kline is going to come out looking? Valor Roulette is taking a gamble here and backing Cunha to continue the misery Kline endures - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=1103

170: John “The Whirlwind” Adams (5-3-1) v Dennis Willwerth (9-6-0)

With two consecutive wins John “The Whirlwind” Adams is beginning to justify his nickname and with Proficient Boxing, ever improving Wrestling and Purple grade BJJ this man has the all round game to trouble any opponent. Adams has won his 5 career wins by all possible ways, he’s mixed in KO finishes with grinding decision wins and this is one experienced operator looking to really put his mark down in our Welterweight division. However Dennis Willwerth is just coming off a loss to reigning Champion, Phil Gunderson and has a much superior all round game to Adams. If Adams can conspire to pull out a win here he’ll finally be within touching distance of a title shot, however this is a massive step up in competition and Valor Roulette has installed Dennis Willwerth as a heavy favourite as such - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=1103

155: Henery “Thunder” McLovin (8-2-0) v Urinus Limberdinkle (5-1-0)

Defeated on his Valor FC debut for the first time in five fights, Henery McLovin will be determined to get back on track here at VFC 53. “Thunder” will come to the cage Saturday night armed with Respectable Boxing and Competent Wrestling but it is interesting that despite a lack of ‘credentials’ in BJJ, McLovin is a Blue grade grappler officially yet holds 6 of 8 career wins by way of submission so he certainly is no fool on the mat and is well versed in submission fighting. Urinus Limberdinkle has proved himself to be a great competitor in our Lightweight division and he won’t need telling this, but this Proficient Wrestler and Muay Thai fighter will also come to the cage armed with superior Purple grade BJJ and ever improving Boxing. Prima Facie, Limberdinkle seems the better fighter on paper, but McLovin is vastly experienced so how will this balance out during the course of the bout? Limberdinkle is well versed in going the distance, with 3 of 5 career wins coming by this method he’ll be looking to drag “Thunder” into territory he hasn’t been in awhile and that could possibly be a game breaker here. It should be noted that despite McLovin having the better Boxing, it is Limberdinkle who appears more effective ending 2 of 5 career wins, recently by (T) KO. I think this fight will be really interesting if it hits the mat how both men go about business, it’s something I want to see and I think that it could be highly entertaining. This is a huge bout for both men, Valor Roulette however is going to install Urinus Limberdinkle as a slight favourite here - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=1103

185: Travis “Juggernaut” Jaeger (9-4-0) v Nicolas “Native Pride” Hollsworth (4-3-0)

Travis “Juggernaut” Jaeger will be making his Valor FC debut here against Nicolas Hollsworth but the debutant finds himself in a real slump at the moment having dropped his last two fights by (T) KO loss. This is certainly going to be a worry as he steps into the Valor FC cage for the first time. Immensely talented, Jaeger can call upon, Remarkable Muay Thai and Brown grade BJJ complimented by Competent Boxing and Respectable Wrestling to get the job done in the cage but much will depend on “Juggernaut’s” state of mind having suffered two big losses in a row and the amount of fight he brings to the cage. On Saturday he faces probably the worst type of fighter he could imagine, on the plus side for Jaeger “Native Pride” isn’t going to finish anyone standing up, but what Nicolas Hollsworth will do is take him to the mat and beat him up and really test his resolve. How will Jaeger cope with this scenario should it arise? Nicolas Hollsworth is a Wonderful Wrestler and holds Purple grade BJJ of his own and really can take a big step up the Middleweight division with a win here, with 3 of 4 career wins coming by way of (T) KO, Hollsworth will be looking to take Jaeger down and really apply the pressure, much will depend on if Jaeger can stop the takedowns or indeed utilise his superior BJJ, but I’ve said many times before – BJJ isn’t much good when someone is on top of you beating you to a pulp, Hollsworth it seems shares my belief – Valor Roulette installs “Native Pride” as the slight pre fight favourite here - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=1103

205: Marius “The Terminator” Budawalski (7-1-0) v Art “The Architect” Vandelay (6-3-0)

Art “The Architect” Vandelay is a supremely talented operator at Light-Heavyweight, he can boast Superb Boxing, Respectable Muay Thai in the stand up, whilst he is no slouch grappling either with Proficient Wrestling and Brown grade BJJ. Vandelay won on his last outing via submission at VFC 46 and this is something that he really excels at with 4 of 6 career wins coming by way to submission look for him to go to the mat with “The Terminator”. Vandelay doesn’t seem to like the stand up despite having good skills and this is something that his opponent will have noted. This is a big fight for the futures of both men and especially for former Light-Heavyweight Champion Marius Budawalski who will be making his first appearance in some time at VFC 53 here. Budawalski comes to the cage with Superb Boxing and Purple grade BJJ. Budawalski has taken some time off to recover from losing his belt and he’ll be looking to make a real impact on his comeback, what improvements will we see from Budawalski? With 5 of 7 career wins coming by submission and the other 2 by (T) KO Budawalski is a finisher and this is something that Vandelay will have to be wary of as he steps into the cage with a man still furious over losing his title. Valor Roulette is going to tip Budawalski here, most likely due to his ability to end fights - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=1103

265: Co Main Event: Thomas “Kid Gyro” Conway (9-5-0) v Karter “Cuter” Duxx (4-1-0)

At the business end of VFC 53 Thomas Conway and Karter Duxx meet in what is a massive battle between two men with legitimate hopes of becoming the Valor FC Heavyweight Champion. Thomas Conway holds the better all round game of the two and his record is evidence of this as he’s racked up wins by (T) KO and submission as well as proving he can go the distance as this Strong Boxer and Wrestler prepares to do battle on Saturday night. Also boasting Competent Muay Thai and Purple grade BJJ “Kid Gyro” presents a formidable opponent for anyone in our Heavyweight division and this is a man I think can really do some serious damage should he get the momentum that seems to dodge him, behind him. With a win and a loss in Valor FC against two of the best Heavyweights we have, Tonka Thomas and Constantine I the Great Conway certainly can hang with the best of them and he certainly has the edge in this area for sure. Can Duxx make the step up to the level that Conway has been operating at for some time? With 3 (T) KO wins in a row, Karter Duxx has really rocketed up the rankings here in Valor and this could be this young hoss’ time in this organisation. With Exceptional Boxing, Competent Muay Thai and Proficient Wrestling, Duxx is all about the stand up and application of pressure, whatever he’s hit recently has been knocked out cold and he’ll certainly take heart from the fact that Conway was rendered unconscious in his first bout in Valor FC against a Boxer like Duxx. This will be really a massive test for the ever improving Duxx but he can do this make no mistake about it, you have to believe that Conway is going to want to get this fight to the mat – If he can’t he could be in a world of trouble. Valor Roulette is making a big statement here in backing Karter Duxx for this one - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=1103

205: Main Event: Bob Barker (13-5-0) v Brad “Hat Trick” Charyak (6-2-0)

The Main Event of VFC 53 is a massive one and the winner of this fight will move on to fight for the Light-Heavyweight title of Valor FC as Bob Barker and Brad Charyak meet to decide who’ll move on and go for gold at Hard Knock’s New York City. Remarkable Boxing, Wonderful Wrestling and Brown grade BJJ is what Bob Barker can call upon for this bout as this is one dangerous man. Having won his last two consecutive bouts in early (T) KO stoppages Barker finds himself near the top of the pile already in Valor FC. With most of his career wins split between (T) KO and decision, Barker it seems is a man who can carve out a plan for any opponent and this isn’t good news for anyone who happens to be in his path. With 18 career fights, Barker is the most experienced fighter in Valor FC by a long way and this could be a big factor in this fight as he really will hold an advantage in every area of the bout. But as we saw when Manuel Padilla defeated Milan Lucic for the crown he now holds – Anything can happen in MMA and this is why “Hat Trick” certainly can cause what would be an upset here. With 5 of 6 career wins coming by way of (T) KO Brad Charyak isn’t coming to this fight unarmed, this is one powerful fighter and his hard hitting means that Barker knows it won’t be a good idea to stand right in front of him and trade. With Strong Boxing and Superb Muay Thai and Wrestling combined with Purple grade BJJ “Hat Trick” certainly in my estimation holds the advantage in the stand up. Can he keep the fight standing however where he certainly has the best chance of winning? This will be the key to this fight – I think Barker is going to come out, hold Charyak for a minute or two before going for the shoot. If he gets it early it won’t last too long, however if Charyak stuffs a few and rises in confidence, I think we will see a classic unfold. Valor Roulette installs Barker as the favourite, but by no means are we writing off Charyak. This should be a fascinating fight and it will be interesting to see Barkers approach - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=1103

VFC 52: Calling Out Names live from the Hayashi's Lounge in NYC.

This is "Showtime" Tony Bova bringing you the review of VFC 52: Calling out Names. It was a nearly sold out Hayashi's Lounge and none were let down. Let's get to the nights action.

Heavyweights. Brian Hutchinson winner by KO (4:45 of round one) over Janek Grzmot. Hutchinson looked like he wanted no part of the ground game of Grzmot and kept it on his feet with nice crisp jabs and great TD defence. He landed a nice over hand right that knocked down Grzmot. Instead of following to the ground he let him back to his feet, only to knock in cold with another right hand at 4:45 of round one. That was impressive power on Hutchinson's part.

Heavyweights. AJ Matthews winner by KO (:09 of round one) over Jake Simmons.

WOW is all I can say about this one. Matthews threw three combos, two missed but the third ended it early with the last combo landing and knocking Simmons silly in: 09. That was highlight reel material for sure.

Heavyweights. Jay Trainer winner by submission (guillotine at 2:27 of round one ) over Mitchell Harvin. Trainer got the quick takedown but let him up. He wants this one on his feet. Harvin saw that and got it back to the ground. Once there Trainer started to really pick it up, trying many sub attempts from the bottom finally locking up a fight ending guillotine at 2:27 of round one. Nice BJJ there. He must have baited him into a ground game which is where he wanted it all along. Nice strategy there.

Lightweights. Cassius Penn winner by UD ( 30-26) over Kimbo Gracie. Penn showed outstanding TD defence as he wanted this only on their feet. And Gracie only wanted it on the ground. Penn stopped 24 takedowns and used his great boxing to cruise to the UD win

Heavyweights. Waldo Whip winner by submission ( arm bar at 3:19 of round one ) over Sergi Onatopp. In this one, Whip handed Onatopp his first career loss with a slick arm bar at 3:19 of round one. Whip controlled the fight from the clinch, using a little dirty boxing and a quick takedown which led to te arm bar. Overall nice fight from Whip who improved to 5-1 and is steady climbing Valor's ranks.

Light Heavyweights. Jagger Cyde winner by UD (30-25) over Cesar Areza. This fight could’ve been billed as a MT fight instead of a MMA fight. Cyde just worked his ass off in the clinch, landing 31-31 body shots and 49-60 to the head. Areza had no answer for Cyde's MT and will have to work on that if he wants to go anywhere in the fight game.

Welterweights. Pete Greco winner by UD (29-28) over Jose Thomas. Thomas came out the gates and used a takedown and good top work controlling Greco in route to winning round one. That woke up Greco who used his clinch work and takedown skills to earn rounds two and three and earn the hard fought victory. Greco was 6-6 in his takedowns and went to that when it was needed. Nice battle between the two and will most likely lead to a rematch down the road.

Light Heavyweights. Justin Riddle winner by TKO (punches at :33 of round one ) over Michael Balboa. Riddle was a workhorse in the little time he was in the cage, landing EVERYTHING he threw. He was 6-6 on punches and 2-2 on kicks. He just overwhelmed the over matched Balboa who will have to work on his defence. Riddle just plain kicked his ass if you ask me. Thank goodness for the ref who saved him from a bigger beat down.

Co-Main Event at heavyweight. Tonka Tomas winner by UD (29-28) over Lawrence Bimbo. Bimbo started the fight off using great MT skills, elbows knees you name it has he easily one round one. He also cut Tomas which might have caused a little change in the fight plan. Maybe such an easy round was not good for Bimbo as Tomas used great ground and pound to outwork Bimbo and win round two. Round three was a bit of a surprise. It went back to the clinch where Bimbo has early success, but it was Tomas who the active one and did just enough to get the round and the win. Man was that a great fight. One to really watch over and over. Great action by both fighters.

Main Event for the Middleweight Championship of the World

Champion Corey McKennedy retains the belt by UD (50-45) over Wes Morris

The champ was awesome and showed why he is the title holder as he cruised to 8-0 and easily outworked Morris. McKennedy used his kicks to batter the challenger. He landed 50% of his head kicks, while landing 25-27 to the body. Morris just was defending all night and didn't get his game plan working at all. The Champ won all round as easy as he could. He didn't do too much but he also looked like he was sparring for 25 min. Either way the champ retains the belt and is looking forward to beating all comers.

What a night of action and it will be a sign of things to come in Valor. Thanks and have a Greg night I will, I'm going to the Champ's after fight party Woo Hoo !!'

VFC 53: Barker v Charyak Review

This is Showtime Tony Bova bringing you the post fight recap of VFC 53: Barker v Charyak which was from a sold out Hard Knocks Arena in NYC. These fans came out to support Patriot Day on 9/11 and were not let down. This card was great and let get to the bouts we had.

Light Heavyweights. Everth Cabaret winner by TKO (strikes at 2:23 of round one) over Jose Laundoes. Cabaret was really looking forward to getting his first pro win and he got that, showing patience in his G-N-P landing good elbows and strikes getting the ref to save Laundoes at 2:23 of round one. That was a great display of G-N-P and might have started the streak Cabaret needed. Good win for him.

Heavyweights. Jay Trainertoo winner by submission (triangle arm bar at 3:04 of round one) over Rasheed Tyree. Trainertoo, a well skilled brown belt, handed Tyree his first lost. Trainertoo used those awesome BJJ skills to pull off a triangle arm bar combo that looked great. He was so relaxed but slapped the hold on like a predator hungry to eat. And man was Tyree his prey that will be shown all week on MMA Tonight!!!

Welterweights. Davis Shields winner by UD (30-27) over Phillip Olson. This was a wrestling match for sure. A lot of laying and praying but Shields still had time to land 14-22 ground strikes while down there. He also hit all four of his takedown attempts so you know he was ok with just getting it to the mat and hanging on. Olsen did nothing but take it too so you also know he was ok with losing. Hopefully these two will get back in there and mix it up again with different game plans.

Heavyweights. William Cunha winner by submission (strikes at: 24 of round one) over Andy Kline. Cunha looked like he had Icy Hot in his jock strap because he came out on fire!! He landed a huge knee, followed by some strikes that had Kline running for the hills. He wanted no part and tapped under the heavy barrage of punches. I don't blame him either. I wouldn't want to get beat up on like that. That was a great finish by Cunha, who is now 5-1 and looking to get another bout quick since this fight just got him warmed up.

Welterweights. Dennis Willwerth winner by submission (RNC at 4:04 of round one) over John Adams. Willwerth used his great judo skills to earn his 10th pro win. He hit a hip toss on Adams that shook Adams up and made him give up his back. And that is when Willwerth slapped on the fight ending RNC. Willwerth also had Adams so tight that he didn't have time to tap. He just went out. COLD!!! Man that was a great finish. Next time Adams better be ready to tap and do so or else it will be more napping for him. !!

Lightweights. Urinus Limberdinkle winner by UD (30-25) over Henery McLovin. Limberdinkle used outstanding clinch skills to dominate rounds one and two. He battered McLovin so bad that I really thought the fight might end at anytime. Be he kept going but Limberdinkle changed it up in round three, using his ground game go try and earn the submission. McLovin's heart kept him from tapping but couldn't get him the win as Limberdinkle cruised to an easy UD win.

Middleweights. Nicholas Hollsworth winner by UD (30-27, 30-28, 30-28) over Travis Jaeger. This was strictly a grappling match with a ton of sweeps and ground work. It was well done for what it was but caused the judges to get a bit lost, as they were wanting a throw down. But either way Hollsworth did what he has to do to win and that's what counts. He earned a UD win and looks to do it again next time out.

Light Heavyweights. Marius Budawalski winner by submission (triangle at 3:20 of round two) over Art Vandelay. This was a good fight back and forth in round one that had the fans ready for fireworks in round two. They got ‘em but in the form of good BJJ as Budawalski surprised us with a tight triangle to end the fight. That came as a big surprise to all of his but it was a nice ending to a good fight.

Co Main Event

Heavyweights. Karter Duxx winner by TKO (strikes at 1:12) over Thomas Conway. Duxx has to be one of the best stand-up fighters in Valor and tonight it showed. He picked apart Conway on his feet and showed that he is too be feared in the division. He has little ground game, but don't let the white belt fool ya, he will punish from all spots of the cage and I can't wait to see him fight again.

Main Event

Brad Charyak winner by UD (30-27) over Bob Barker. Will as a famous man once said" The price is wrong bitch" and it was for Barker as Charyak dominated him in the main event. You name it Barker didn't do it well enough and Charyak did. He was smooth and is feet and on the ground. He won from bell to bell no questions asked. The only question will be who is next for him to fly threw. That's up to the Valor matchmakers I guess!'

What a wonderful night of fights here in Valor. We all left happy about what we saw and looking forward to Valor 54. This was Showtime and don't worry tomorrow is just around the corner, CHEERS M8's!!!

Preview of VFC 54 Boy v Padilla

155: Barry “The Widow Maker” Windham (2-1-0) v “McPhatten” Bubz Phatz (1-0-0)

An interesting matchup at Lightweight to kick off VFC 54 with Respectable Muay Thai and Wrestler, Bubz Phatz hoping to extend his perfect career record thus far at the expense of Barry Windham. Windham however will see a big chance if he can get this fight to the mat with his Purple grade BJJ being extremely effective as he is on a two fight submission win streak. If he can score the takedown I suspect he’ll take this one. Valor Roulette installs Barry Windham as your pre fight favourite here - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=1103

205: “The Sleeping Pill” Alejanrdo Cordoba (7-3-0) v Dante Jones (4-3-1)

At Light-Heavyweight next, “The Sleeping Pill” Alejanrdo Cordoba looks to string two wins in a row together for the first time in a long time here. A vastly talented fighter, holding Strong Boxing and Brown grade BJJ Cordoba is a bit of a Jekyll and Hyde figure and much will depend which version shows up here. Dante Jones has lost two in a row, but boasts Strong Boxing and Proficient Wrestling as he attempts to correct that unflattering statistic. Cordoba holds a vast experience advantage over Jones and that could be the difference here however Valor Roulette has Dante Jones as a very slim pre fight favourite for this one - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=1103

170: Anthony “Rumble” Johnson (2-0-0) v Pedro “Sweetness” Omar (4-3-0)

Anthony Johnson makes his long awaited debut in Valor FC here in this Welterweight bout, as this Superb Boxer has racked up two KO wins thus far in his career as his heavy hands are well known. However here at Valor FC he’ll find himself taking a real step up in quality as he will get a stern examination for sure by BJJ Brown belt and dangerous submission grappler Pedro Omar. With all 4 of Omar’s career wins coming by way of submission, and “Rumble” ending all his fights via his hands it looks like we’ve got a real game of cat and mouse ahead here, who’ll take it? If Johnson can stop the takedowns he’ll certainly do himself no harm, but Valor Roulette is going with what they know, Omar to win they feel - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=1103

185: Abel “The Holy One” Silva (3-1-0) v Henry Dangerfield (3-2-0)

How will Abel Silva react to the first loss of his career? That is the big question here as this Proficient Muay Thai fighter and Respectable Wrestler looks to get back on track here at VFC 54. “The Holy One” has racked up 2 of his 3 career wins by way of (T) KO and he is a very good striker, I would imagine he’ll want to keep this one standing as Henry Dangerfield is primarily a grappler with his Competent Wrestling and Blue grade BJJ but watch out for his nasty ground and pound – If Silva gets taken down Dangerfield will absolutely go for it and this could be the key to this fight. Valor Roulette is going with Dangerfield here as the pre fight favourite - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=1103

155: “The Terror” Gabe Shade (8-3-0) v James “J-Digz” Graves (7-2-1)

Gabe Shade has won 3 on the trot, and enters Valor FC with quite a big name as this dangerous Lightweight looks to hit the ground running here with us. “The Terror” holds Strong Wrestling combined with Purple grade BJJ and with 4 of his 8 career wins coming by way of submission, it’s a fair enough assumption to suggest this is something he’ll look to improve on here. Gabe Shade also holds Respectable Boxing but this is more or less to get himself by whilst he looks for the takedown. His opponent is just off two straight losses as he looked to take the Lightweight title off Mike Martin, but James Graves is one dangerous man, with both Remarkable Boxing and Wrestling this man is more than capable of dominating and to boot, he holds Proficient Muay Thai and Purple grade BJJ. This is a big test for Graves however as he is the man stuck in a rut whilst Gabe Shade is on a real tear. It is interesting to note that Graves has won 5 of his 7 career wins by decision, this is something that will really interest Gabe Shade I feel as he’ll come out pretty aggressive I’d imagine. Valor Roulette is going with “The Terror” here, but only just to win this one - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=1103

205: “Warrior Chieftain” Fionn Mac Cumhaill (6-4-0) v Julius “Rubicon” Kaiser (8-2-0)

With three wins in a row upon his celebrated signing by Valor FC, Julius Kaiser is causing some trouble for anyone who is foolish enough to get in his way as “Rubicon” has won three in a row by impressive (T) KO or KO. This will be his debut in Valor FC and he will face off against former Light-Heavyweight Champion, Fionn Mac Cumhaill. With Proficient Boxing and Strong Muay Thai, Kaiser loves to stand however he’ll really be needing his Competent Wrestling and Blue grade BJJ to be up to scratch as you know that the Irishman Mac Cumhaill is going to want to take this one straight to the mat. With 5 of 8 career wins coming by way of (T) KO, Julius Kaiser will be confident in getting the job done if he can keep it standing, but can he? Mac Cumhaill has now lost two in a row, albeit via decision but this Proficient Wrestler and Brown grade BJJ expert has won all 6 of his career bouts via submission, and this is something he’ll certainly extend if he can get this fight to the mat. Mac Cumhaill isn’t a novice standing up, he does have Strong Boxing, but however it mostly is used to create the environment for the takedown. Who is going to prevail in this big Light-Heavyweight bout? I’m inclined to go for the grappler Mac Cumhaill, but if he can’t get it to the mat – Kaiser will certainly pick him off pretty quickly. Valor Roulette thinks this one is a tossup and leaves both men at the same price - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=1103

205: Ian “Unfinished Monkey Business” Brown (3-0-0) v “Lights Out” Brave Heart (7-2-0)

Ian Brown faces the biggest test of his short career here as this Strong Boxer and Strong Wrestler has been vastly impressive in the three career bouts he’s had so far which has fast tracked him into this bout against Brave Heart here at VFC 54. Brown has racked up 3 of 3 wins by way of (T) KO and certainly seems to have no problem in taking fights to the floor and just bullying his opponents. Across the cage on Saturday however, he finds Strong Boxer, Respectable Wrestler and Blue grade BJJ fighter, “Lights Out” Brave Heart. Much of this fight will depend on just how advanced the 23 year old Ian Brown is, compared to the much more experienced and battle hardened Brave Heart and if he can take Brave Heart to the mat. This promises to be a massive test for a man most are tipping for big things at Light-Heavyweight here in Valor FC. Valor Roulette is going with Brave Heart however as a step too far, he’s your pre fight favourite here - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=1103

205: “BA” Mr T (6-3-0) v Milan Lucic (10-4-0)

Milan Lucic was the Light-Heavyweight Champion of Valor FC but failed to defend his title for the first time as he fell victim to Manuel Padilla in a massive upset at VFC 48. Lucic was expected to brush aside the challenge but was finished by Padilla and thus finds himself on the end of a loss for the first time in a long time in his career. Lucic holds Exceptional Boxing, Respectable Muay Thai, Superb Wrestling and Blue grade BJJ in a formidable challenge for anyone who gets into the cage with him. With 7 of his 10 career wins coming by way of (T) KO Lucic is going to get right in your face and try and put you away, this is something that will suit his opponent on Saturday night however as if there is one thing Mr T loves, it’s a brawl. On a two fight win streak, with both coming by (T) KO finish, Mr T makes a big step up as he takes on Milan Lucic here at VFC 54. “BA” has already labelled this fight as the one that ‘will make him, or break him’ as this Remarkable Boxer surely will take heart in the fact that Lucic’s chin betrayed him last time out and look to go right after Lucic and test his confidence early on. Valor Roulette installs the former Champ as the favourite here, but if Mr T connects once, this fight could be all over – He knows he just has to get one clean shot as this man holds massive power, but can he do it? - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=1103

265: Co Main Event: Ernesto “Che” Guevara (6-2-0) v “Earthquake” Richtor Schkayle (6-1-0)

The Co Main Event of VFC 54 is a massive battle at Heavyweight and one which could determine who will be next in line for a shot at the 265 gold as Ernesto Guevara faces off against Richtor Schkayle here at Hard Knocks, NYC. Between these two men we have 12 career wins, and 11 of these have been by (T) KO so we can expect a real war here in this one I feel. Ernesto Guevara comes to the cage armed with Exceptional Boxing and Strong Wrestling and this 20 year old is one dangerous man, Guevara has massive power and he doesn’t need very many to connect to get the result he wants and the losses he has suffered in his career have been due to decision – This man has never been finished and he is a really game competitor which will certainly give him huge confidence as he comes up against a man with an equally dangerous reputation in “Earthquake”. Richtor Schkayle has now won five in a row, three in Valor FC and this is a man who is about to boot down the door at Heavyweight so to speak. With Superb Muay Thai, Competent Wrestling and Blue grade BJJ Schakyle is an awkward opponent for anyone and his kicks are absolutely brutal, one swing of those three trunk legs and this one could be over. This is a fight that could really end at any time and I’ve no idea who will take it – I do however think this fight doesn’t get out of Round 1 as there is too much power between these men and both will certainly not be fearful of the other. This could be a classic as 19 year old Schkayle and 20 year old Guevara at such an early stage of their careers look to be one big win away from already fighting for gold in their careers. It’s all to fight for here; Valor Roulette has “Che” as the pre fight favourite by a spot, who’s your money on? - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=1103

205: Main Event: “Scooby” Chrissy Boy (6-1-0) v “The Terminator” Manuel Padilla (7-1-0)

Here it is, the Main Event of the Evening is five rounds for the Valor FC Light-Heavyweight title as the vastly impressive “Scooby” Chrissy Boy who has now finished his last five opponents by way of (T) KO takes on the reigning Champion “The Terminator” Manuel Padilla. Wonderful Boxer, Chrissy Boy has destroyed anyone in his path recently as this man has rocketed right to the top due to his explosive hands which has overwhelmed anyone that has been unfortunate enough to get tagged by him. Chrissy Boy is relatively untested everywhere else, but as every fight starts standing up the advantage he feels lies with him in every fight. The facts speak volumes, with his last five fights all being highlight reel finishes the form and momentum is very much with this young Irishman who lies just one fight away now from realising his dreams. Chrissy Boy says he’s on his way to the top, so try and stop him. Can Padilla? When Valor FC found itself stuck, and without a contender for the Light-Heavyweight title some time ago, we tried certain avenues only to find nobody interested in taking on Milan Lucic at short notice, however, when we asked “The Terminator” we got a resounding yes. And sometimes you make your own luck as against the odds and in the biggest upset win I think we’ve ever had in Valor FC Manuel Padilla finished Lucic to claim the Light-Heavyweight Championship proving that anything is possible in the fight game in a real underdog story. Tonight however he’ll not be coming to the cage as rank underdog but as defending Valor FC Light-Heavyweight Champion so how will he cope with the pressure? With Remarkable Boxing and Respectable Wrestling, Padilla certainly seems the better rounded of the two – But we all know this one is staying on the feet with both these men looking to end via KO to prove who is the toughest. With 6 of 7 of Padilla’s career wins coming by way of (T) KO and all 6 of Chrissy Boy’s by the same method, there can only be one outcome here, the only question is, who takes it? Valor Roulette is going to go with the Champion, by a shade. I have no idea; I don’t think this one reaches Round 2 however - http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakerpublic.php?bid=1103

This is your man "Showtime" Tony Bova bringing you the latest Valor action with Valor 54: Boy vs. Padilla live from the sold out Hard Knocks Arena in NYC. Let's get to the action at hand.

155-- Bubz Phatz winner by TKO (:33 of round one) over Barry Windham. Phatz took the fight right to the clinch where he battered Windham with knees till he crumpled. Then he pounced and made the ref jump in after many unanswered blows. Nice and sweet looking finish here.

205---Dante Jones winner by UD (29-27) over Alejandro Cordoba. Jones was looking like a young Cassius Clay out there, dancing and a fighting. Sticking and moving to a very easy first two rounds. Cordoba had no answer for his stand up. He saw that he had to get it to the ground in round three and he did that but it was too late to get the win as Jones earned the UD win.

170---Anthony Johnson winner by UD (30-26) over Pedro Omar. Omar started off well looking like he might pull this fight off. But the start isn't everything. Johnson warmed up midway thru the first and started dominating his foe. He used great takedown defence and kept the fight on the feet with good boxing skills to cruise to the easy win. Nice way to adapt and use it to win.

185--- Abel Silva winner by KO ( :29 of round one ) over Henry Dangerfield. After a short feeling out process Silva connection with his head kick sealed the deal has Dangerfield was knocked down by the kick and couldn't block the strikes that followed as Silva barely broke a sweat.

155--- Gabe Shade winner by submission (triangle at 1:35 of round two) over James Graves. Shade wanted the fight on the ground and was glad when Graves took it there. Shade was very active off his back. He was very comfortable there and in round two when the fight was there again, he locked in a fight ending triangle. Nice BJJ there showed by Shade and that displayed earned him Submission of the Night.

205--- Fionn Mac Cumhaill winner by submission (3:39 of round one) over Juilus Kaiser. Cumhaill was a beast at getting it to the ground and working for a submission. He got a bit too excited and got reversed but F.A.C was ok with that and slapped a sick triangle to end Kaiser's night early at 3:39 of round one.

205--- Brave heart winner by UD (29-28) over Ian Brown. Brave heart used his punches and kicks to keep Brown on the defensive most of the fight. After that Brown woke up and used his skills to earn the third but it want enough in the judges’ eyes as Brown lost the dec. Do I smell a rematch, I think I do.

205-- Milan Lucic winner by KO (head kick at 2:03 or round one) over Mr T. Sitting at cage side I saw that Lucic wanted the highlight reel finish by head kick. I bet Mr T wished he saw what I saw as Lucic unleashed a powerful head kick to turn out Mr T's lights at 2:03 of round one. Man that was crazy to see up close.

Co Main Event

265--- Ernesto Guevara winner by KO (punch at :58 of round one ) over Richtor Schkayle. Guevara had cut Schkayle early in the fight and, with the extra Vaseline that caused a problem for Schkayle. He got some in his eye and when he went to wipe it out Guevara pounced and knocked him out with a nasty ass punch. That just goes to show you fighters out there. Don't stop till the bell tolls. Guevara might not get the sportsmanship award but he did earn Fight of the Night for both fighters. Nice crazy and weird finish here.

Main Event for the Light Heavyweight Championship of The World

Chrissy boy winner by KO (2:15 by punches) over Manuel Padilla and is crowned the new Valor Light Heavyweight Champion!!!!

Chrissy boy went after the champ Padilla like a crazed maniac. He landed shot after shot and caused the champ to re think his plans. But there wasn't any time as boy landed the final blow at 2:15 of round one. WOW that was so impressive I don't know what to say. Chrissy boy is now 7-1 with seven first round KO's. If you can make it out the first with him you might make it. But I don't think so!! Now that he is the newly crowned champ, you'll really have to work your ass off to take it from him. I'd like to see you try.

What a great card that was. From the opening fight, to crowning a new champ. It was action from bell to bell and that's what you get here at Valor nonstop action so stay tuned. From all of us at Valor thx for tuning in and have a good one I will!!

This is "Showtime" Tony Bova bringing you the recap of VFC 55: For what it’s Worth that took place from a packed Hayashi's Lounge in NYC. This was one of the quickest cards in Mma history as 7 of the bouts ended in the first round. But the fans got their money’s worth with fighters who came to fight and that they did. And here's the recap.

170--- Alaric Visigoth winner by TKO (strikes at 2:54 of round one) over Robert Pattison. This fight started the night of right with Visigoth taking Pattison down quickly and finishing it with good ground and pound that got the ref to jump in and end it at 2:55 of rd 1.

170--- Fresh Hamz winner by KO (punch at 1:18 of round one) over Santana Fritz. Hamz improved to 3-0 with his dismantling of Fritz. He battered his foe to the body as well as the head finally ending it with a street fighter type uppercut. He had his Ryu going on ending it at 1:18 of round one.

155--- Manchild Warsaw winner by KO ( punches at :22 of round one ) over Bobby Snaps. You want highlight reel type KO wins. That what we do here at Valor. And so does Warsaw. He unleashed the hook heard round the world as he twisted Snaps head almost off and ended it at only: 22. Wow that was fast and powerful. So nice it was.

170--- Scott Donavon winner by UD (30-27,30-27,30-26) over Red Rum. This was the upset of the night as Donavon took out the favourite Rum in convincing fashion. He was dominating from bell to bell with overwhelming Rum do much that he didn't throw a punch. You can't win if you don't throw punches and only get less than 24% of your takedowns. That leads to an upset win for Donavon.

155--- Mike Hunt winner by UD (30-28,29-28,29-28) over Drew Price This was a barn burner from bell to bell. Price came out the gates firing and controlled the round with his takedowns and submission attempts. Round two went Hunt's ways he wanted to keep it the clinch and that he did. He used his knees and battered Price to earn the round two. Round three went the same as the second but was a bit closer. I don't know how the one judge scored it 30-28 but either way Hunt won on all cards. I had it the closer score of 29-28 Hunt but that's why I ain't a judge right lol.

265--- Joe Lanza winner by submission (kimura at 1:05 of round three) over Kurt Johnson. This could be the fight of the year. It was a back and forth battle seeing work from the clinch and submission attempts. Round one went to Johnson. He just controlled the fight from where he wanted. Round two was more of the same. Both fighting tooth and nail and was so close it could have gone either way. I had it going to Johnson which means the Lanza would have needed a finish. And that he did!! In round three and close to losing Lanza locked in a fight ending kimura at 1:05 of round three. Wow I thought Johnson's arm was going to snap but he tapped instead. What a fight what a finish what a win for Lanza. This submission earned him Submission of The Night as well as getting them both the Fight of the Night. This one was one to remember!!!

185---Connor MacLeod winner by Tko (strikes at 3:34 of round one) over Dan Hedwig MacLeod improved to 6-1 after this back and forth battle. You name it you saw it. Knees elbows punches or kicks. It had it all. It also had the best combo you'll ever see. It was a 5-punch combo. It went right-left uppercut- right-knee- right to the jaw and that was what ended the night for Hedwig. That was nice combo something out of the old Kung Fu movies.

155--- Anderson Sharpe winner by KO ( strikes at :22 of round one ) over Apachai Hopachai. Left right goodnight. That's what it was as Sharpe ended Hopachai's night so fast neither broke a sweat. That was a quick one but intense.

185--- John Thomas winner by tko (strikes at: 47 of round one) over Joe Rogan. Thomas was slick as he went around the cage getting the ref to stop it: 44. I thought Rogan had some left but after a quick complaint on his part I saw his eyes. They were glossy and not at all ok so it was a great stoppage. Quick for the co main event but some fights are just that quick.

Main Event

Vlad Tepes winner by TKO (strikes at: 31 of round one) over Javier Martinez. Wow that was great quick fight. Tepes baited Martinez to circle to his left. And he circled into a great head kick. Pop there goes the fight. The head kick was quick and painless. It was the ground and pound that followed that hurt. The punches came fast and powerful and ended it quick. He should be right up there in the ranking after this one!!

Preview of VFC 58 ‘My Time’.

185: “The Punisher” Francis Castiglione (4-4-0) v Brad “The Man” Cunningham (1-3-0)

Vastly talented stand up striker, Brad Cunningham can call upon Strong Boxing and Remarkable Muay Thai as he enters the cage at VFC 58, not to mention Purple grade BJJ. But “The Man” has now lost two in a row against seemingly lesser competition as questions about his heart begin to surface, can he silence the doubters here in the opener to VFC 58? Superb Boxer “The Punisher” Francis Castiglione is certainly going to test his will to fight here, buoyed by a win at VFC 37 he’ll look to try and put together back to back wins at the expense of Cunningham. On paper this shouldn’t be a contest, however Cunningham has a lot to prove.

185: Christian Gracie (4-2-0) v Felix Smith (4-3-0)

Christian Gracie certainly is a rapidly improving fighter, a BJJ Brown grade as one would expect with a name like his, Gracie can now call upon Respectable Wrestling and Competent Wrestling as he truly becomes a mixed martial artist. Of course the ground game however will be his bread and butter so look for him to try and get this one down as quick as he can. That won’t be easy however against Wonderful Wrestler Felix Smith who himself holds impressive Purple grade BJJ and Strong Boxing. This is certainly going to be a grinding matchup, Smith tends to go the distance but can he keep the dangerous submissions of Gracie at bay? I expect this to be one of the closest fights of the night.

205: Joe “Heavy” Hanner (5-3-0) v Papa “Bouba” Diop (3-2-0)

Superb all round fighter, Papa “Bouba” Diop will be looking to make up for his (T) KO debut loss at VFC 51 here as he takes on Strong Wrestler, Joe Hanner. This fight promises to be a real battle as certainly Papa Diop is the better all round fighter in comparison to his opponent, however he doesn’t excel in any one area, unlike “Heavy” Hanner who is more than capable of taking down Diop and bossing him on the mat for the entirety of this fight. I am very interested in seeing what tactics Diop comes up with here as he faces stiff completion, Hanner will expect the win here I would imagine but if he thinks this one is a ‘give me’ he could find himself horribly proven wrong.

185: “The Conqueror of Carthage” Scipio Africanus (2-1-0) v Shawn “Bullet” Hawkings (5-2-1)

With two wins in a row, Scipio Africanus has become one of the real emerging stars of the Middleweight division with his Wonderful Wrestling and very dangerous ground and pound. At VFC 50 Africanus absolutely battered Brad Cunningham and Shawn Hawkings will have to be at his very best here or he’ll suffer the same fate. With Strong Boxing, “Bullet” certainly holds the advantage in the stand up however don’t expect Africanus to even attempt to stand, he’ll look to test that Competent Wrestling of Hawkings as soon as this fight starts and how this fight pans out, depends very much on how good “Bullet” is at stuffing takedowns. If he goes to the mat early, this one could be a very unproductive night for him.

265: “El Patron” Martin Sanchez (4-4-0) v “The Tank” Rene Schweidler (8-3-0)

“El Patron” comes back to Valor FC after getting a win in another organisation and it will be interesting to see if Martin Sanchez can carry that form into this Heavyweight bout here at VFC 58. Tonight he faces Rene Schweidler and I expect this to be a very hard fought battle. With Proficient Boxing and Strong Wrestling combined with Brown grade BJJ Martin Sanchez is a very able and dangerous opponent for anyone and I expect him to be very confident at gaining a win at the hands of Proficient Boxer and Respectable Wrestler Rene Schweidler. This will be “The Tank’s” debut in Valor FC and he’ll look to make an early impact and coming off a big (T) KO win in his last fight, he’ll relish playing the underdog here you think. This is my outside bet for fight of the night here. Very interesting to see how both men approach this fight.

170: “The American Assassin” David Shields (1-0-0) v Jose “Bud Light” Thomas (4-1-0)

Extremely interesting fight here at Welterweight with the primae facie superior fighter, David Shields with his Proficient Boxing and Strong Wrestling combined with Black grade BJJ game taking on the more experienced and paradoxically seemingly more dangerous submission fighter Jose Thomas. David Shields has only had one fight to date, a hard fought decision win at VFC 53 but he displayed everything we expected from “The American Assassin”. The key to this fight for sure is how “Bud Light” reacts if Shields gets this fight to the mat – One expects that Shields should be able to get this one to the mat, but Thomas has all four of his career wins to date via submission and is no slouch in the grappling stakes. I cannot wait to see how this one pans out and I am expecting a real lesson in the art of grappling in this fight. Jose Thomas has unbelievable cardio, can this fact see his cause, what would be considered an upset here at VFC 58?

205: Otto “Brain Dead” Karalexis (4-1-0) v Jagger Cyde (6-1-0)

Otto “Brain Dead” Karalexis makes his debut with Valor FC in this Light-Heavyweight clash as this Remarkable Muay Thai striker will almost certainly want to keep the fight standing and use his superior stand up to take out yet another decision win, something which he has become rather good at, with all four of his career wins thus far coming by this method. Across the cage tonight, he’ll face the better rounded fighter in Jagger Cyde who has racked up four wins in a row. I expect Jagger Cyde to try and take this fight to the mat because his opponent has some nasty kicking ability and can really boss a fight by keeping the distance and punishing. Jagger Cyde is the more experienced fighter, and prefers to counter; can he avoid the punishing Muay Thai of the “Brain Dead” one however? I am expecting a really keen contest here between two guys who have the ability to go far at Light-Heavyweight here.

170: “Sneaky” Pete Greco (7-2-1) v Dennis Willwerth (10-6-0)

This could be one of those fights that really gets the fans pumping here as the ever dangerous and improving, “Sneaky” Pete Greco gets himself back into action at VFC 58 against fellow Welterweight contender Dennis Willwerth. This fight is very important because both these men could realistically face each other in the upcoming Welterweight tournament to crown our new Champion, with the draw yet to take place – We can assume neither is going to want the other to get momentum coming into this tournament and I expect both to go all out for the win here. With Respectable Wrestling and very dangerous Brown grade BJJ, Pete Greco truly is one of the most dangerous men we have at 170 in Valor FC and being a former Champion, knows what it takes. Across the cage tonight, he’ll face Dennis Willwerth who failed in his attempt to take the crown from former Champion, Phil Gunderson. Willwerth boasts Superb Boxing, Competent Muay Thai and equally Respectable Wrestling and Brown grade BJJ. Certainly Willwerth holds the advantage in the stand up, but Greco has great takedowns and I expect this one to be sorted out on the mat. Who can exert their authority in this area? This fight lays claim to the early contender for submission of the night for me.

265: Co Main Event: Karter “Cuter” Duxx (5-1-0) v Waldo “W” Whip (5-1-0)

The Co Main Event of the Night features two men just outside title contention, but whichever one takes this fight will find themselves propelled firmly into the spotlight for sure as this fight features Karter Duxx and Waldo Whip with both of these men having won their last seven fights combined. Karter Duxx can be confident knowing that he comes armed with Exceptional Boxing and Competent Muay Thai. Duxx also holds Proficient Wrestling which he uses to good effect to keep fights standing as this is a man with five career wins, all via (T) KO. Duxx must keep the fight standing however, he does have good takedown defence but his aggressive style leaves him open. Knowing he is so close to the top, will he keep the status quo or will we see a change of tact from “Cuter”? Tonight he faces Waldo Whip, a dangerous proposition especially for Duxx as Whip has won 3 of 5 career wins via submission and this Proficient Wrestler and Boxer holds Purple grade BJJ to boot making him a really dangerous proposition for the grappling naive Duxx. This fight is pretty easy to assess, Duxx must keep it standing and Whip must get it to the mat, whichever one of these men can really secure this key objective will be the winner but despite Duxx having the more impressive resume of the two, “W” is to be taken lightly at his peril. I anticipate a huge battle here and I cannot wait for this one, I safely predict fireworks.

205: Main Event: Marius “The Terminator” Budawalski (8-1-0) v Justin “The Unsolved” Riddle (7-1-0)

The wait is over; Marius Budawalski and Justin Riddle finally meet after both being at the top of the Light-Heavyweight tree for some time in Valor FC, but their paths have never crossed until now, but at VFC 58 we find out which one of these men will fight for gold in the near future at the expense of the other. Justin “The Unsolved” Riddle is now undefeated in four, with his last two wins via brutal (T) KO highlighting just how dangerous he is as this Wonderful Boxer, Superb Wrestler and Respectable Muay Thai fighter also boasts Purple grade BJJ in a fearsome prospect for anyone he faces. With 4 of 7 career wins by (T) KO Riddle is a striker, and he does it well especially in his last few bouts with Round 1 finishes. Tonight however, Riddle faces “The Terminator” and a man that has never went the distance in his career as Marius Budawalski gets back in action at VFC 58 here. Budawalski doesn’t hold the talents on paper that Riddle does, however what Budawalski has is a massive heart and some of the most dangerous submissions I’ve seen in MMA. Budawalski holds Remarkable Boxing and Purple grade BJJ but has won 6 of 8 career wins via submission and the other2 by way of (T) KO showing just what a predator this man is. A former Light-Heavyweight Champion, Budawalski knows what it is like to get the taste of blood, Justin Riddle has never experienced this but should he win tonight he’ll almost certainly get a shot at whoever holds the gold at 205 whenever Chrissy Boy and Brad Charyak get it on. This one is impossible to call, with Budawalski’s ground game I imagine he’ll want to put Riddle out of his comfort zone as quickly as possible, but “The Unsolved” Riddle hits hard; can Budawalski stay out of danger and get close enough for the takedown? This fight can end at any point and this promises to be one of the best rated Valor FC events in some time.

Review of VFC 57

Man this was a great card from Valor. This is "Showtime" Tony Bova bringing you the recap from a sold out Hayashi's Lounge. I'm bringing you VFC 57: Heartless. It was a night of great finishes and gut wrenching action. And let's get to it.

205-- Gabriel La Fleur winner over Andrea Gatti by KO (Punch @ 1:40 of rd one )

La Fleur pounced on the fact that Gatti was really out of shape. Gatti threw one kick and was tired. La Fleur threw three uppercuts that knocked Gatti down. The last one was followed by some ground and pound that ended the fight for Gatti. Wow maybe next time he'll come in shape and ready to fight.

185 Rhett Hart winner over Chris Chain by UD (29-28)

Hart gets to .500 with this win. In round one Chain starts it off with a great takedown but Hart gets the fight to the feet and was very aggressive after getting to his feet but doesn't land much. But enough to win the round. Round two was all Chain. He worked his clinch great and landed some good shots. When it did get to the ground Chain works good submission attempts to get it even. Round three was like round one, Hart doing enough to sway the judges into giving him the round and the win. Not a classic but a nice win for Hart.

265--- Tony Rizzo winner over Alex Damascus by submission (arm triangle @ 4:56 or round two)

Rizzo was looking for one move and one move only. The arm triangle! He got the fight to the ground and attempted it twice in the first. But Damascus gets it to the feet and lands some great kicks but not enough to get the round. Rizzo just did too much on the ground. Round two Rizzo changes it up a bit and takes it to the clinch. The two fighters trade clinch attempts and when the fight got to the ground guess what happened. Rizzo looked for and secured a fight ending arm triangle. Man Damascus should have seen that coming.

185--- Logan Evans winner over Charlie Green by TKO (strikes @:58 of round three)

Evans improved to 7-3 with this impressive showing. He showed great footwork in round one but It was Green who won the round on the ground and in the clinch. Round two was a bit of the same a little more close but still I would give the edge to Evans. The third was a quick one. A body shot followed by a straight right hand ended the fight. Nice ending to a fight that was a close one. The finish wasn't close thou.

205--- Pesho Talpata winner over Apachi Hopachi by UD (30-25)

Talpata just was dominate with his ground control. He got the fight there and laid and prayed. But enough to eek out round one. And round two. And round three. That was the fight. Throw in some ground strikes every once and awhile to spice it up but that was it.

205--- Don The Fist winner over Tyrus Wilson by tko (punches @ :32 of round one)

Early in the fight they traded clinch attempts to no avail. But The Fist got tired of that and rushed in with a crazy combo that knocked Wilson for a loop and forced the ref to jump early and save him from a further beating. Man that was a quick stoppage but a good one.

205--- Robert Hurt winner over Ronan McKenna by submission ( strikes @ :05 or round one )

Wow that might be one of the fastest fights in Valor history. Hurt came in faked a right and levelled him with the left. He was so wobbled that he wanted no more and tapped right away. He knew it was a matter of time till Hurt hurt him some more. Nice fast fight.

205--- Rampage Penn winner over Vincent Marconi by tko (strikes @ 1:59 of round one )

Penn got cut early by Marconi but used it to gain power. He engaged and started a great back and forth that ended with Marconi getting cut as well. Penn poked Marconi in the eye, which the ref didn't see and Penn jumped on it. He followed the poke with strikes that had the ref finally seeing something and stopped the fight. What? That ref must have been related to Cecil Peoples he wad that bad but either way Penn wins in this real tough fight.

Co Main Event

170--- Jesus Tabs winner over Martin Riggs by submission (triangle @ :57 of round one )

This was a battle of top contenders as Tubs (4-1) took on the undefeated Riggs who came in at 4-0. Tubs got the takedown after Riggs got the clinch. After a few seconds and a reversal, Tubs slapped on a real tight triangle to put Riggs to sleep. He woke up like what happened. Man that was a tight hold.

Main Event

265---Andrus Nuut winner over Chrissy Lad by submission (guillotine choke @:49 of round one)

Nuut got the trip takedown right away and let Lad up right as soon as they touched the mat. Seeing this Lad took the fight right back to the ground but that's what Nuut wanted, he wanted to fight off his back. After a few failed sub attempts he locked in the fight ending choke to win the fight. What a fight strategy on his part. Get him into the game he wanted and man did it work.

Preview of VFC 59 Nahrul v Rambo

205: Shelton Scott (1-2-0) v Juancho “First River” Rivera (1-1-0)

The opening fight of a huge night for Valor FC pits Exceptional Muay Thai and Proficient Boxer, Shelton Scott against Superb Boxer and Respectable Wrestler, Juancho Rivera. We don’t really know a great deal about both men as this is their first appearance in Valor FC, however we do know that Scott comes in with a formidable stand up game and “First River” will have to negotiate his way around this in order to be successful. I suspect that Rivera will try and use his Respectable Wrestling to good effect but you have to believe Scott will be prepared for this.

185: Eric Sutter (4-2-0) v Brando Weiss (2-2-0)

This Middleweight bout promises to be a keenly fought affair with two extremely similar fighters going at it here at VFC 59. Eric Sutter will be coming to the cage armed with Strong Boxing, Respectable Wrestling and Blue grade BJJ; Brando Weiss meanwhile displays both inferior Competent Boxing and Wrestling but holds Purple grade BJJ which he’ll look to use to his advantage. This should be a really close bout, Sutter presumably will be looking to keep this one standing, but I feel we’re going to have a real grappling contest here.

265: Billy “Bob” Thornton (2-2-0) v “Amazing” AJ Matthews (2-2-0)

Strong Wrestler and Proficient Muay Thai striker, Billy Thornton makes his debut in Valor FC in this huge card and will be looking to make an impact here at VFC 59 as he takes on AJ Matthews here at Heavyweight. In Matthew’s he’ll face a man fresh off an impressive KO win, however “Amazing” only really holds Proficient Boxing and must turn this into a brawl in order to have any success. I think Billy “Bob” Thornton’s Strong Wrestling here should see him smother Matthew’s en route to a win.

205: “The Politician” Cesar Areza (3-3-0) v Kurt “The Real Deal” Manningham (3-1-0)

Kurt “The Real Deal” Manningham is making his debut with Valor FC in this Light-Heavyweight clash, boasting Proficient Boxing and Wrestling, Manningham can also call upon Purple grade BJJ as this rapidly improving 20 year old. Fresh off a (T) KO win in his last bout, Manningham will be very confident coming into this bout but he is facing a real challenge in Cesar Areza despite having lost his last thee on the trot. “The Politician” has Strong Boxing and dangerous Purple grade BJJ having secured all 3 of his career wins via submission, Areza will certainly be looking to take this to the mat. If he gets it there his chances of winning will certainly be improved a great deal.

155: “Little” Jimmy Jones (3-0-0) v Niels Bohr (3-3-0)

This Lightweight bout provides the stiffest challenge yet to “Little” Jimmy Jones who has caused a real stir in Valor FC thus far in his career, standing now with a perfect career record of 3 wins in 3 fights all via (T) KO. Jones holds dangerous Wonderful Boxing, but he has displayed a real improvement in his Wrestling recently, now standing at Proficient and also recently has been promoted to Blue grade in BJJ. This should be a stern test for him however, as Niels Bohr holds superior Strong Wrestling and is the more experienced and better rounded fighter. Bohr also has the confident is knowing his Wrestling can grind out decision wins, with all his career wins coming via this method. Will Jimmy Jones put another away to highlight just how dangerous he is? This promises to be a fascinating matchup and one that will really tell us about how far Jimmy Jones has come.

205: Randy Mantell (3-1-0) v JT Carter (5-2-0)

Randy Mantell has been very impressive in Valor FC since joining the organisation, but on Saturday night he faces his toughest test to date in JT Carter. Mantell can boast improving striking, but his Respectable Wrestling is his strongest area and with 2 career wins via submission, he’ll certainly look to put the pressure on Carter here. JT Carter is a Proficient Wrestler and Respectable Muay Thai striker, but this is a man who has claimed 4 of 5 career wins by way of decision and this grinding style could well see him through here if Mantell doesn’t come up with something. I would expect Carter to take this one, however Mantell isn’t without the tools for an upset so let’s see if he can get the job done and provide what I would consider an upset here.

185: Nicholas “Native Pride” Hollsworth (5-3-0) v Wes Morris (5-3-0)

This Middleweight bout features two of the most talented men in our Middleweight division and could well provide the next challenger to the Champion as Nicholas Hollsworth and Wes Morris go at it here at VFC 59. Last time out, Wes Morris lost in his quest for gold as he was defeated by the Valor FC Middleweight Champion, Corey McKennedy via unanimous decision and tonight he faces an equally tricky challenge. But Wes Morris is extremely well rounded, boasting Superb Boxing and Proficient Wrestling combined with Purple grade BJJ this man is a finisher, with all his career wins coming by way of submission or (T) KO and “Native Pride” will have to go to his strengths here in order to get Morris under some serious pressure. Nicolas Hollsworth is the younger of the two fighters, but this 20 year old is vastly talented, with Wonderful Wrestling combined with Purple grade BJJ in what is a fearsome ground game. Hollsworth is on a streak of two wins, he’ll be confident in making this one three if he can get Morris to the mat but he’ll have to watch out for the submission abilities that Morris has, it will be interesting to see if Hollsworth acknowledges Morris’ ground game and becomes a bit more aggressive as this man has some nasty ground and pound but hasn’t been evident as yet in Valor FC. This one should be a great matchup and I am really interested to see who comes out on top here.

155: Urinus Limberdinkle (6-1-0) v “Say No More” Ezra Pound (8-1-0)

With four wins on the trot, Ezra Pound knows a win here will earn him a shot at the title, and this vastly talented and dangerous individual will of course be looking to secure this win at the expense of up and coming Urinus Limberdinkle. With Remarkable Muay Thai and Wrestling, not to mention Competent Boxing and Purple grade BJJ Ezra Pound is one of the most complete fighters in all of Valor FC but curiously he opts to control his opponents rather than try and finish them with 6 of 8 career wins coming by way of decision, Limberdinkle may well take this lack of aggression as the green light to really go after him and it will be interesting to see what tactic he adopts for this but then again, last time out Pound had a big stoppage of Anderson Sharpe via (T) KO so is this the start of a more aggressive “Say No More”?. Urinus Limberdinkle comes into this one as the underdog, however this is a real up and comer, with Proficient Muay Thai and Strong Wrestling with Purple grade BJJ Limberdinkle himself is something of a cerebral fighter, with the majority of his career wins, 4 in 6 coming via the hands of the judges. Limberdinkle has absolutely nothing to lose here but can really shoot himself up the ladder with a shock win, the pressure is on Pound, but then again – It usually is. Can Pound finally get himself back to a shot at the title? Limberdinkle certainly won’t lie down and I think this one is going to the judges.

265: Co Main Event: Vlad “The Impaler” Tepes (7-2-0) v “Chop-Top” Lawrence Bimbo (8-5-0)“Chop-Top” Lawrence Bimbo has now lost two in a row coming into this Co Main Event, but he finds himself in a very fortunate position in that he has a quick route back to the top made out for him here at VFC 59, the only problem is that it is via the monster that is, Vlad “The Impaler” Tepes. With Remarkable Boxing and Wrestling, Superb Muay Thai and Purple grade BJJ Lawrence Bimbo certainly isn’t going to get outclassed by anyone in our Heavyweight division, however it is his consistency that is the real problem and he has been less than impressive since coming to the organisation. However, with a man this dangerous, you take him lightly and you’ll pay and with two fight of the night bonuses from Valor FC, Bimbo always comes to fight. Bimbo is much better rounded than Tepes and I expect him to try and highlight this fact, but will he be able to get Tepes on the mat? This could be a key fact, I don’t know who will win the stand up battle between the two, but for sure – If Bimbo gets the fight to the mat his chances of winning will drastically increase. Tepes is back in action after his 0:31 Round 1 destruction of Javier Martinez at VFC 55, Tepes boasts Wonderful Boxing and Superb Muay Thai and with a record of 6 wins out of 7 via (T) KO you know what you’re getting with “The Impaler”. At just 20 years of age it seems Tepes has been around forever, but this is far from the finished article, Tepes is certainly one of the most dangerous strikers in Valor FC and with his all round game improving, this is a man that at some stage I think will get the gold in Valor FC it is just a case of maturing. Can Tepes push himself forward to yet another title shot? Or will he be outfoxed by the wiley veteran Lawrence Bimbo? This is going to be interesting, Tepes is a monster however, and with fist or foot, he’ll break what he hits – this may well be the difference here.

265: Main Event: “King” Kzarik Nahrul (7-0-0) v John J Rambo (9-0-0)

Arriving at the Main Event of the Evening we have the Heavyweight Championship of Valor FC on the line as once again, the incomparable and undefeated John J Rambo defends his title for the seventh time against the similarly undefeated “King” Kzarik Nahrul in what promises to be an explosive affair. With both men being undefeated and extremely well known, this is a meeting of two of the very best Heavyweights in all of NYC and promises to be one of the biggest events in Valor FC history, as is always the case when John J Rambo comes to town. With Strong Boxing, Remarkable Muay Thai and Strong Wrestling, the Challenger is a formidable challenge on paper; he likes to get the fight into the clinch and really beat you up with elbows and knees and is very dangerous in this position. You would think that Rambo knows what is coming and will be ready for this – But Nahrul also displays very dangerous kicks and it really is the challengers Muay Thai game that will provide the base for his challenge here. I expect Nahrul to lead with kicks and look to clinch up with the Champion and then work his game from here but will he spring a surprise? Nahrul has never really been tested with a good shot but this is one thing he can expect in this fight and it will be interesting to see how “King” copes with the power that Rambo possesses. With 7 wins however, and all 7 by way of (T) KO Nahrul you expect will be very confident in his own abilities and not really be worried about this. Nahrul will hold the height and weight advantage in this fight, but will he be able to use it? Undefeated in his career, Valor FC Heavyweight Champion from February 2010, and one of the reasons for the rise of this company, John J Rambo is not to everyone’s taste, he’s upset just about everyone you can, but he backs it up. With 6 of 9 career wins by (T) KO the reigning Champion is a Wonderful Boxer and he comes out looking to take your head off, this is something he will not change, if he hits you and you remain standing, you’re doing well and Rambo comes to brawl. I expect this fight to remain on the fight for the duration, I don’t expect it to go the distance but who will take this one? I don’t think Nahrul has ever been tagged by anyone like Rambo before – But, Rambo has very good experience in fighting men in the clinch, with his battles in the past against Mister Clutch so what bearing will this have on this fight? This one can end at any moment, blink and you miss it stuff here and Nahrul and Rambo are little over 24 hours away from locking horns to find out who is the baddest man in Valor FC. Can Rambo extend his exceptional record or will Nahrul finally become “King”?

Preview of VFC 60 Charyak v Boy

265: Mitchell “Homegrown” Harvin (1-2-0) v Janek “High Voltage” Grzmot (1-2-0)

The opening fight of VFC 60 features two men who have lost their last four combined as Proficient Muay Thai striker Janek Grzmot faces off against Proficient Boxer and Competent Wrestler Mitchell Harvin. This fight has the potential to be a bit of a stand up war here as whilst Harvin has the better Wrestling, he almost has no BJJ experience, whereas “High Voltage” is certainly the more dangerous grappler. It’s a certainty to be a fiercely competitive affair, if not technically brilliant.

170: Pedro “Sweetness” Omar (4-4-0) v Alex “The Prototype” Mercer (2-1-0)

Alex Mercer faces a real test here at VFC 60 as this dangerous BJJ Brown grade faces Pedro Omar, a real danger and recently awarded his BJJ Black belt. This one promises to be a real technical affair but “The Prototype” is on form, can he continue it here? Both men are relatively weak elsewhere but with Mercer holding the better striking might he look to take advantage of this?

155: “Bust ‘em up” Zach Allen (0-0-0) v Kimbo “Rush” Gracie (5-5-0)

Making his debut in Valor FC tonight is Zach Allen, a very talented young man with a vast array of talents including Remarkable Boxing, Wonderful Muay Thai along with Superb Wrestling and Purple grade BJJ. “Bust ‘em up” is a pretty dangerous guy on the face of it but is making the step up into professional competition here and he could be caught cold. Kimbo Gracie has a great deal of experience, with 10 fights to his name, boasting Superb Boxing, both Competent Muay Thai and Wrestling, but it is Kimbo Gracie’s BJJ brown grade that will cause Allen the most problems. With the majority of “Rush’s” win’s via submission, this promises to be a very stern test for young Allen here. This one is going to be very interesting and Gracie’s approach to the takedown is key here.

155: Ben Williams (5-5-0) v “The Second Coming” Manchild Warsaw (2-1-0)

Ben Williams steps into the Valor FC cage for the first time tonight as this Proficient Muay Thai fighter and Wrestler with a great ability to win fights via decision takes on young up and comer Manchild Warsaw. This could be a very interesting matchup, “The Second Coming” holds Remarkable Boxing but will certainly have to keep this fight standing if he is successful, with a win via KO last time out at VFC 55 Warsaw certainly has the power to get to Williams, but will his relative inexperience be highlighted here?

155: Chris “Pysco Fro” Jones (3-2-0) v Henery “Thunder” McLovin (8-3-0)

Much improved Chris Jones is back in action here at VFC 60 as this Strong Boxer, Superb Wrestler and Brown grade BJJ grappler takes on Henery McLovin tonight with his better rounded, yet primae facie less revered game holding Respectable Boxing, improving Muay Thai with Competent Wrestling and Purple grade BJJ. “Thunder” has a big advantage of cage time however and could again catch his inexperienced opponent here at VFC 60. McLovin has lost his last two however and finds himself at a bit of a cross roads, with 6 of 8 career wins by way of submission, I wonder what approach he’ll take to fighting a man with better grappling? Chris Jones will not be afraid to keep this one standing however either, with 2 of 3 career wins via (T) KO you have to believe he’ll be confident wherever this fight takes place.

185: Abel “The Holy One” Silva (4-1-0) v Aiden Jackson (6-3-0)

Exciting Middleweight battle ahead here as dangerous strikers collide, Aiden Jackson has won 4 of 6 career wins by (T) KO but is only rated as Respectable in his Boxing, with Proficient Wrestling and Purple grade BJJ Jackson is almost certainly a front runner in the division and has the dangerous ability to be able to finish fights at any time up against Abel Silva who has won 3 of 4 career wins by way of (T) KO and this one is a mouth-watering prospect. Whilst Silva is rated as a Competent Boxer, he also holds Respectable Wrestling along with Proficient Muay Thai but I think this is all secondary because these two guys are going to meet in the cage tonight and one is going to render the other unconscious I believe.

265: William Cunha (5-1-0) v Andy “The Monster” Kline (8-7-0)

Wonderful Boxer William Cunha steps back into the cage here at VFC 60 tonight as he faces off against Andy Kline, a man in all sorts of trouble having lost his last his last four. Kline is a very talented man, Strong Boxing, Competent Wrestling and Brown grade BJJ but can’t get a win for love or money at the minute and a loss his could be the end of his Valor FC career. Can he get back on track? He’s given us no indication he’s turned a corner at all so Cunha certainly has to believe he can break Kline here with a couple of stern shots early on. Cunha has very little else bar his Boxing, but what he does, he does well and I expect him to get to Kline here and end this one pretty quickly. If Kline manages to get his head right however, and gets this fight to the ground – Cunha might find himself very much out of his depth.

185: Joe Rogan (10-6-0) v “Highlander” Connor McLeod (6-1-0)

Joe Rogan against Connor McLeod promises to be a real competitive affair here at VFC 60, Joe Rogan certainly is the more experienced fighter of the two, but he’s lost as many fights as “Highlander” has won so it’s not all good experience. Rogan will be calling upon his Respectable Muay Thai and dangerous Brown grade BJJ here to try and improve his 7 of 10 career wins via submission statistic. However dangerously for him, Joe Rogan appears like he has a very weak chin, he’s lost 5 of his 6 via (T) KO including a big loss to Aiden Jackson who also appears on this card. Making his last appearance in Valor FC we wish Connor McLeod all the best in his future career as this Remarkable Boxer will be smelling blood early on knowing Rogan is susceptible to a hit. “Highlander” also boasts Competent Muay Thai and Proficient Wrestling but he’ll know if he can keep this one standing he’ll certainly pick up the win. It’s a tough spot for Rogan but he’s been in this position before, he knows what he has to do but I think McLeod knowing to expect the takedown is in a good spot and can pick Rogan off over the course of the three scheduled rounds.

185: Co Main Event: Dave “Pit-Bull” Bower (7-3-0) v Corey “Skully” McKennedy (8-0-0)

The first of two titles is on the line here as Dave Bower takes on undefeated Champion Corey McKennedy here in the Co Main Event of the evening, is “Pit-Bull” Bower the man to end the reign of “Skully”? Boasting Remarkable Boxing, Superb Wrestling along with Brown grade BJJ Dave Bower certainly has all the talents to give McKennedy a real tough time here but he’ll have to try and out work the Champion who loves to punish his opponents almost for being stupid enough for trying to take his belt. Bower is in action for the first time since VFC 49 here, what improvements can he show us in this one after some considerable time off? Bower likes to take fights to the mat and use his dangerous ground and pound and it will be a big advantage for him to get McKennedy to the mat but this is easier said than done, but Bower possesses a tricky challenge for the Champion because over the course of his career he has proven he can do it all, he is very able in all areas of the game and will be up for this one for sure. Across the cage tonight, Corey McKennedy once again defends his Middleweight strap that he has held since VFC 23 and this dangerous all rounder loves to punish men in the stand up and the clinch, can he do so here? With both Competent Boxing and Wrestling, Purple grade BJJ and Strong Muay Thai “Skully” has defended his title now five times with each win a very one sided unanimous decision more lopsided than the next as McKennedy has really bossed all opposition that has came his way thus far. It seems Dave Bower has all the tools to trouble McKennedy but, it seems easier said than done to get under the skin of our Middleweight Champion. Will Bower be able to buck the trend or will McKennedy brush yet another challenger aside? This one should give us a big indication as to just how dominant McKennedy is, because thus far nobody has really troubled him in Valor FC.

205: Main Event: Brad “Hat Trick” Charyak (7-2-0) v “Scooby” Chrissy Boy (7-1-0)

And we reach our Main Event of the Evening now for our Light-Heavyweight Championship of Valor FC as Brad Charyak attempts to wrestle the belt away from the Champion “Scooby” Chrissy Boy. This one on the face of it should be a cut and shut win for “Hat Trick”, he appears the more dominant fighter on paper, but what Chrissy Boy has is something deep inside, the Champion is certainly one of the most dangerous stand up fighters in all of NYC and this promises to be an explosive affair here to end proceedings at VFC 60. Superb Boxer and Wrestler, along with Remarkable Muay Thai striking and Purple grade BJJ “Hat Trick” has won his last 3 fights and with a record of 5 of 7 career wins coming by way of (T) KO this is a very dangerous guy, but will he change his usual tactics due to the danger of the Champion? Charyak likes to use the clinch to wear his opponents down and hurt them but he’ll have to dodge the bombs that the Champion throws before getting this position and it will be interesting to see how this particular part of the fight plays out. Across the cage tonight stands the Champion of Valor FC at Light-Heavyweight, “Scooby” Chrissy Boy is on a tear, at only 20 years of ages, he holds the strap and has won his last 6 career bouts in the first round via (T) KO. Chrissy Boy has Wonderful Boxing and Competent Wrestling along with Purple grade BJJ, but this is a man with fierce power and whatever he hits, he really does destroy. Brad Charyak probably has never faced someone as powerful as this and should he get tagged by “Scooby” he could find himself unconscious, I’ve never seen a record like Chrissy Boy and he is fast becoming legend with his KO power and early Round 1 finishes. Despite his massive power, Chrissy Boy is a smart fighter, he probes for openings with his jab, but when he gets the openings he has just been dropping everyone. Can Charyak dodge this insane power? I’m not sure Charyak can afford to take the chance and stand with Chrissy Boy, this fight promises to be a crowd pleasure for sure. I’ve no idea what way it will go, Chrissy Boy can end this at any second, but Charyak is definitely the better all round fighter. This one promises to be a fantastic spectacle.

Review of VFC 60 Charyak v Boy

265: Mitchell “Homegrown” Harvin v Janek “High Voltage” Grzmot

Five seconds is all it took for Janek Grzmot to KO Mitchell Harvin here, a huge kick done the damage but “High Voltage” made sure with some nasty ground and pound. Massive win for Grzmot here, and some people missed this one who hadn’t made it to their seats it was that quick.

170: Pedro “Sweetness” Omar v Alex “The Prototype” Mercer

What a performance from Pedro Omar here as he bossed this one, taking down Mercer three times before ending this one surprisingly via (T) KO after 3:27 of Round 1 after using his BJJ to get into the mount before reigning bombs. Omar looks to have really improved and this was a great showing, very impressive and Omar has set himself up nicely again with the ‘Knockout of the Night’ award to boot.

155: “Bust ‘em up” Zack Allen v Kimbo “Rush” Gracie

Zack Allen displayed the need for a good clinch game here as he really highlighted a big hole in Kimbo Gracie’s arsenal here in this Lightweight contest. Gracie was really never in this one as Allen dominated from the clinch landing a serious amount of offence. “Rush” tried in vain to escape the clutches of Zack Allen but there was to be no chance of that as in all three rounds “Bust ‘em up” did as his nickname suggests and really punish Gracie. There are to be sterner tests ahead for Allen but this was a seriously impressive debut.

155: Ben Williams v “The Second Coming” Manchild Warsaw

This was another quick finish as Manchild Warsaw ended this one after 0:22 of Round 1 via (T) KO punches, Williams came out swinging and missed then went for the takedown and failed, then walked into two big overhand rights that finished this one, the referee jumped in to stop Williams getting anymore punishment because Warsaw looked like he was ready to follow up just for good measure.

155: Chris “Pysco Fro” Jones v Henery “Thunder” McLovin

This one was all “Thunder” McLovin as he took this fight to the mat as soon as he could, worked into a good spot and then secured the Arm Bar submission after just 0:55 of Round 1. This was a huge win for Henery McLovin and earned him ‘Submission of the Night’ for his efforts.

185: Abel “The Holy One” Silva v Aiden Jackson

I told you before this fight, it promised action and that is exactly what we got as Aiden Jackson and Abel Silva met right in the centre of the cage and both went right after each other landing big shots on the other before both seemed to fade a little and began circling, sensing a chance and out of nowhere Abel Silva landed a sickening head kick that rendered Aiden Jackson unconscious. This was a huge win for “The Holy One” but Jackson will feel he was getting the better of him. Never the less, that was one of the nastiest finishes I have witnessed in the history of the company. Abel “The Holy One” Silva improves to 5-1-0 with this and could make a run at our Middleweight title with results like this.

265: William Cunha v Andy “The Monster” Kline

What a fight here as William Cunha and Andy Kline served up a classic here in their Heavyweight battle, Kline cut Cunha wide open in the opening seconds with a big shot, but then Cunha really started to take control landing shots at will as against it looked like “The Monster” would fade again, but just before the end of Round 1 Kline landed a big takedown and displayed some of the fight that we needed to see. Into Round 2 Cunha again was bossing with his crisp stand up, only for Kline to get a takedown out of nowhere and plunge Cunha into deep trouble and after 2:01 of Round 2 Andy “The Monster” Kline secured his first victory in five fights and these two men earned ‘Fight of Night’ for their efforts here.

185: Joe Rogan v “Highlander” Connor McLeod

“Highlander” Connor McLeod destroys Joe Rogan here in 0:40 of Round 1 in their Middleweight bout here at VFC 60. Rogan never really got near Connor McLeod and was cut open on two occasions before being rocked by McLeod’s stinging jabs and finished with a punishing hook. This was a great win for Connor McLeod who unfortunately has now left Valor FC.

185: Co Main Event: Dave “Pit-Bull” Bower v Corey “Skully” McKennedy

Corey “Skully” McKennedy retains his Middleweight title here as yet another of his defences go the distance, Dave Bower showed a few chinks in his armour, namely his takedown defence. But in reality this was yet another dominant performance from the Champion who improves to a seriously impressive 9-0-0 taking a unanimous decision, 44:50, 45:50 and 45:50. What was very interesting here is the fact that Bower did manage to get McKennedy to the mat, but the Champion just sprang up seemingly at will. Bower attempted a massive amount of takedowns during the course of the bout and this was his only tactic seemingly as McKennedy hampered his movement with slapping leg kicks which clearly bothered the takedown offence of Bowe, meanwhile Corey McKennedy managed to secure his favoured clinch position a number of times and scored well with his elbows and knees and this was really the story of the fight as McKennedy by the fourth round had really punished the explosiveness of Bower who was restricted to pulling guard and searching in vain for the hail Mary submission but it wasn’t to be and McKennedy passes yet another test that was in his way impressively.

205: Main Event: Brad “Hat Trick” Charyak v “Scooby” Chrissy Boy

50:40 was the score across the board as Brad “Hat Trick” Charyak takes the Light-Heavyweight bout here at VFC 60 with a totally dominant performance over “Scooby” Chrissy Boy who didn’t get anything off at all here in a disappointing matchup for him. Charyak knew the power that the former Champion had and didn’t let him get anywhere near him as he tied him up in the clinch and destroyed the body and face of Chrissy Boy the whole way through the five rounds landing a massive amount of shots, in fact nearly 100% of everything that he threw in the clinch, Charyak landed and completely outclassed the former Champion here. To be honest there was a real possibility that this fight could have been stopped due to the cuts on the face of Chrissy Boy and it would have been better for him had it been the case but it is Charyak who claims the Championship and now moves onto a date with Justin Riddle in a date yet to be confirmed. Congratulations to the new Champion. As for Chrissy Boy, he’s just 20 years of age and already been Champion, the sky is the limit for this young man and I expect to see him back in action a much more improved and dangerous model.
