Fallon "The Transformer" Fox (212575) be on your guard for when Dwyane "Psycho" Griffin (215179) is done and ready because he's coming to avenge Chance "The Warrior" Lewis (211506) lost you to and take you off your title run.

Now to the 145lbs weight class Dwyane "Psycho" Griffin (215179) is coming to OFC and is going for big in his first OFC fight (Fallon "The Transformer" Fox (212575)) than he's looking to go for the title.

IP Freely, http://www.mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilemanager.php?FID=192636 , is proud to have joined the Ontario Fight Club. IP started his career in Helsinki with Vicious Fights with a total of 21 fights under his belt compiling a 10-11 record. The move was a tough decision but the depth of the 135 pound class in OFC was what lured IP to the show. Goals are simply to win more often and shake things up, while a championship is probably out of the realm of possibility being a spoiler is just as fun.

After wiping the floor (and the fence) with Silas Storm, Mark Mann has put his eyes on a fight with Showhey Baba.

Mark Mann has recorded a 7-1 record in OFC and with a title already won in this Organisation and two defences, Mark Mann looks to become a legend in his pursuit of a second title. Rumours have picked up that Baba and Mann are able to throw down with the winner inching closer to a fight with either Shepard or Daedalus.

Giovanni "The Dread" Castro a new signing of the 135 division, speaking through his interpreter earlier today called out the entirety of the 135 division. He also acknowledged most of them had upcoming fights but he wants to stay busy and specifically targeted the fighter IP Freely http://www.mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilepublic.php?FID=192636, whom he called a bum with a useless record and he would be honoured to sendhim out of the OFC

Giovani "The Dread" Castro after sending Billy Bob out of the org

"Well what can I say, the guy wanted to hump me and he couldn't. Anyway if a guy wants to fight like that then he should not be in the org and King Justus should thank me for sending him out. Next up I want to send IP Freely out of the org, the guy is a bum and somehow ranked higher than me. It would be my honour to send him out of the org and give him his 4th straight loss"

OFC 239: Reborn REVIEW

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1480647527reborn.jpg

Rising through the ashes like a Phoenix, the OFC is Officially REBORN! As the clock counted down to showtime and fight fans filled the Hayashi's Lounge, there was an energy in the air that truly felt like something special was taking place. It's monumental moments like this that will go down in Tycoon history, where managers and fighters from around the globe will remember where they were when it all went down. From Submissions to Knockouts to a Split decision, this event had it all! Without further ado, let's run it all back with a Full Review!

In our Main Event, the Vacant OFC Welterweight Championship was up for grabs! These are the fights we live for, two men who've been through hell and back to get here, put it all on the line in the fight of their lives. We witnessed two vets of the sport and absolute War Dogs go toe to toe, blow for blow, for the rights to call themselves Champion.

Right from the get-go, Jokinen's gameplan proved to be getting the fight to the floor at all costs. Mitchell's defensive prowess proved to be a powerful counter attack by constantly escaping, fending off takedowns and getting the fight back to the feet. Submissions came a plenty from Jokinen as he fought for a finish but almost each attempt left him in a more vulnerable position. Mitchell used these momentum swings to gain control once more and implement the gameplan of his own. And what a gameplan it was, as his striking was on point throughout the night landing 16 of 28 Significant Strikes to the head, as well as 8 of 13 leg kicks.

In the end, Malcolm Mitchell proved to be the better of the two, walking away with the Unanimous Decision Victory and becoming the 16th Fighter in OFC History to become the Welterweight Champion. After that masterful performance, a quick recovery may be in order as a New Contender in Nathaniel Armstrong waits in the wings. If the stars align, 2016 will be going out with a BANG!

In our Co-Main event of the evening, another case of Striker versus Grappler was on full display. From the moment this fight was announced, everybody and their grandmother knew where each fighter wanted the fight to take place. Unfortunately for Ferdum's grandmother, not a single takedown was attempted from Wabricio. After a couple quick exchanges, one of which bloodied Cam, Newton unleashed the power which he's possessed his entire career. Landing a leaping lead hook, Ferdum's Lights went out as Cam collected another Knockout of the Night paycheque. Thankfully the crowd was on his side as he proceeded to dab on 'em in his post fight celebration.

In our Fight of the Night, fans were treated to two rising prospects in the OFC's Middleweight Division. Neither man came to lose and after 15 minutes of blood, sweat and tears, it's just a shame that one of them had to. Soon as the fight began, it was almost over for Slater as he was dropped in the opening seconds. John showed his aggressiveness immediately but once Slater got his senses back, he went back to what he knows...wrestling. Bringing the fight to the ground, it looked as if John may have missed his opportunity to capitalize. Things then went from bad to worse once the ref stood the two as John was Rocked and Dropped. Like the true fighter he is, John showed off his resiliency and gained control once more. This round must've been a wake-up call for him or maybe his corner let him have it in between rounds. From that point on, John was a lot more careful and meticulous refusing to relinquish control til the final bell. It's division fights like this where cream rises to the top, I think we'll all be tuning in to see what Finkle John can accomplish next!

Two other fights I wanted to highlight were those from David Lemieux/Tyron Woodley and Solomon Wilson/Wiremu Huia. The first of which featured Lemieux coming away with the split decision in what was truly a pick 'em. The latter showcased Wilson presenting a face planting Knockout in a closely contested fight up until that point.

Hopefully after that exciting night of action, everyone can catch their breath and prepare for when we do it all again Saturday for OFC 240: Ravager headlined by Middleweight Contenders Cu Chulainn and Rupert Blasts!

Finally, just wanted to say thank you everybody once again. Without all of you, none of this is possible and the OFC doesn't exist. Which is why I would like to request that any of your fighters in need of a contract without a home, will always have a place to fight here in the OFC. Just send me a quick message letting me know and I'll be happy to send a contract over your way. The more fighters we sign, the more shows we put on and the more frequently you fight. Best of luck everybody for the rest of 2016, can't wait to take the OFC to new heights with all of you in 2017!

Sincerely,
King Justus

OFC 240: Ravager REVIEW

http://mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1481326789ofc240.jpg

Damn Canada, back at it again with a great night of fights! All eyes were on the Great White North as the UFC rolled in to town. Luckily for them, we held an Event of our own right here in the OFC just before theirs. As there's no doubt we would've affected the PPV numbers if we went head to head. No titles were on the line this time but major title implications were as new contenders stepped up to the plate. Without further ado, let's run it all back with a Full Review!

Let's start with the main event; Chulainn vs Blasts. Do you remember the teacher textbooks in school with all the answers in the back? Clearly Blasts does, because he had one of his in his back pocket for this fight. Chulainn came in with a solid gameplan wanting to and getting the fight to the ground then working the ground n pound. Unfortunately for him, Blasts was ready for each one by repeatedly stuffing takedowns and getting back up off the ground. When the fight was on the feet, Blasts well...blasted away, with simply an Exceptional performance coming out with the Unanimous Decision Victory.

Where does Blasts go from here? Well, we'll have to see how our Co-Main event played out. An obvious answer would be matching up the two Middleweight Winners from last night. As Cause stated yesterday, we're currently dealing with a Champless Division. Once two clear contenders can string a few wins together, it's theirs for the taking. Let's find out who Blasts will be facing in a #1 Contender fight for the title...

Spoiler Alert: Jesse "THE SNAKE" Blake through sheer dominance. It's like he heard someone say 'Vacant Championship' and went for it like the last bread roll at a family dinner. There was a couple slight scares as he took the fight to the ground and Four attempted a few half-hearted submissions. Not wanting to risk the loss, Blake stood up and proceeded to put him back down. After rocking him again down there, Blake got up to finish him off with a relentless combo. Blake will move on to face our Main Event winner Blasts in a #1 Contender fight. The OFC is aiming to have this fight take place early in the New Year at OFC: Blood Night XXXI.

Next up we got a rising contender Cannondale Trail looking to continue his winning ways, coming in to the fight with a 3 fight win streak. Can he keep it going against a gritty veteran with 80+ Career fights? It turned out to be one of the more interesting fights on the card with the entire scrap taking place in the clinch! This is why I love this sport, as it showed off the importance of being well-rounded. Being one dimensional will only get you so far. Finishing the fight from the clinch in under 3 minutes, Cannondale Trail continued to the show the world that the hype is real. Can't wait to see where this win leads him, a shot at the Gold can't be too far at this point.

Finally, I wanted to shift the focus to our Top Performing Award winners of the night. Daniels and Laurence fought a closely contested affair. After getting Cut, Rocked, Knocked down and almost finished in the 1st round, Laurence came back to take the 2nd. It all came down to the final round where both men showed a lot of heart. Daniels refused to lose however after almost letting the fight slip through his hands. He'll be meeting OFC 239's Knockout of the Night Award Winner Cam Newton at OFC 244: Parley before year's end.

Submission and KO Award winners; yup, we had those too. Joe Bradley made undefeated and appropriately named Sissy Bitch...well...his bitch with a 1st Round KO via Punches. And Featherweight Chico Morales scored a slick armbar submission on a gritty William McDougal at the 4:58 mark of the 1st round. Enjoy the 10k guys, hopefully it's put to good use but hey, Christmas is just around the corner, could always buy your King something nice...I kid, I kid.

And that about wraps it up for this review. Really hope everyone's enjoying what Cause McDubree and myself are doing here for you guys. Trying our hardest to keep MMATycoon, the OFC and all of the fights fun for everyone. We currently have a roster of 190+ Fighters, would love to see us reach the 200 mark soon so if you have any unsigned fighters looking for a home, let me know! We'll most likely be moving to 3 events a week once we do reach our goal, so I hope you're ready for what we have planned in 2017! See you in a few days for OFC 241: Seyedi vs Coleman where the OFC Light Heavyweight Championship will be up for grabs!

Sincerely,
King Justus

OFC 241: Seyedi vs Coleman REVIEW

http://mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1481392354ofc241.jpg

Who doesn't love some Mid-Week fights to help cure the aches of Hump Day? Don't worry, the OFC's got you covered with what turned out to be a surprisingly entertaining card that completely flew under the radar of most. The OFC Light Heavyweight Champion Ali Seyedi was back in action to defend his Gold for the first time since 2014! Could he get back to his winning ways or will the OFC's next generation of superstars make an immediate impact? All of these questions and more were answered at OFC 241: Seyedi vs Coleman. Without further ado, let's run it all back with a Full Review!

Let's get right to the nitty-gritty, our Headliners; Greg Coleman, Ali Seyedi and the OFC Light Heavyweight Championship. The Champ Seyedi came out swinging like he was Negan with a baseball bat! Coleman however, refused to be Glenn today or go out on his knees. Within the first minute, the fight moved to the clinch which was immediately revealed to be a major part of Coleman's strategy and gameplan. Seyedi tried his best to escape but was put back in his place, where he continued to be worked over. 2nd Round didn't seem to go much better when Coleman almost stopped the fight with his Exceptional Muay Thai and Dirty Boxing skills. I actually happened to glance over cageside and Seyedi's family were shielding their eyes from what was taking place. As a fight fan however, I was more or less in awe.

Heading in to the 3rd round, there were whispers throughout Hayashi's Lounge, wondering if Seyedi would even be able to make it out of his corner. Showing the heart of a Champion...he did. Followed by showing the folding ability of a lawn chair. After throwing a lazy body kick, Coleman just crumpled him, knocking him out before he hit the floor...an obvious choice for the Knockout of the Night. Coleman's confidence has got to be through the roof at this point after capturing the gold. All celebration's will be forced to a halt unfortunately, as he already has his next challenger and fight lined up for him. To find out who it is, we have get to the results of our Co-Main event...

...Where the #1 Contendership was on the line. With a record like Junior Brandon's, he's easy to look past. But if any real scouting was done then Slade Wilson had to know he had a real challenge in front of him. Coming in as a Black Belt and Abu Dhabi Champ, it was no secret he likes his subs; Meatball, how you doin'? Cold Cut Combo, how you doin'? Pizza, how you doin'? I think you get my point. As soon as the bell rang, the fight was on the floor. Many people could've easily mistaken his coach as Kevin Hart at that moment while shouting "Noo, he wasn't ready". This is where the entire round took place, might not have been the most exciting 5 minutes to watch but a real chess match was happening on in front of our eyes. Round One Brandon. The next two rounds Wilson was able to adapt and find a way to overcome the deficit by working his superior standup. After a complete mishap of a start, Wilson coasted to the unanimous Decision victory. It's right back to the gym however, as he now meets newly crowned OFC Light Heavyweight Champion Greg Coleman at our Big New Year's Eve Show OFC 245: Reclaim.

In our Fight of the Night Runner-up, we saw two rising Heavyweight Prospects Paulo Lazaro and Damon Anderson go back n forth in their claim to greatness. Sometimes fights like this really show a fighter's toughness, and let's managers have faith in their roster through wins and losses. I think Anderson showed that today after getting rocked in the first, and impersonating Zack Morris being Saved by the Bell in the 2nd, then coming back to take the 3rd round. Lazaro may have come away with the Official win moving up the ranks but sheer survival and toughness can also be looked at and taken as a personal victory.

Our final award winners saw two Light Heavyweights; Huma Krynn and Bobby Tupper V going toe to toe winning Fight of the Night. It may not have lasted long with Krynn finishing the fight at the 2:13 mark but my eyes were glued to the screen for as long as it did. I think both of these men were born with the same mentality of kill or be killed...and I thank them for it. And then there was Welterweight Arthur Halo who came away with the Submission of the Night award/victory over Noam Chomsky after 22 attempts in their fight...talk about determination.

So there you have it folks, another fun event in the books! Hopefully the rest of your week goes well as we prepare for OFC: Blood Night XXX. This event will have a strong focus on developing some fresh talent for a bunch of divisions. Should be great to see who emerges as the future of the OFC. Lastly, we're always looking to recruit fighters of all skill levels, if you have any unsigned fighters looking for a home just let me know!

King out.

OFC: Blood Night XXX REVIEW

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1478627306bloodnight.jpg

Blood. Just the slight sight of some of that red stuff can completely change the complexity of a fight. Whether it affects a fighter's vision or showers the fans in the front row...there's no denying it's a part of the sport. So why not dedicate an entire night of fights to something that flows through all of us...for the 30th time. Without further ado, let's run it all back with a Full Review!

Let's start with everybody's favorite division; the Heavyweights. Our main event featured the classic styles clash of striker versus grappler, don't tuck your chin for this one. In the red corner we had David "The Californian Cobra" Grossman, a popular Abu Dhabi Champ who had bounced around between managers and organizations as of late, taking on rising hard hitting prospect; Koba Wyatt.

There was only two ways I saw this fight going, Koba losing an arm or Grossman being laid out. Looks like Grossman was on to this also, soon as the fight began he rushed like the running of the bulls determined to bring Koba to the ground. Unfortunately for Grossman, Koba has been gifted with the springs of a jack in the box, popping back up immediately which may have been a bit discouraging for the talented Black Belt. It was all down hill from there as Koba began to work his magic, stuffing takedowns and putting fists to face. It was only a matter of time until Koba unleashed what some are describing as a punch that could've caused the Dinosaurs extinction. After the loss, Linda Blair actually tweeted Grossman, praising his head spinning performance citing it rivaled hers from The Exorcist.

In our co-main event of the evening, I feel like the best way to describe this fight would be to post the gif of the Just Bleed guy, beers in hand n all aka me on the average Saturday night. Similar to our main event, we saw a grizzled war vet with a resume of 60+ fights taking on another rising prospect in Iko "The Psycho" Morrowind. At first glance, primaries would suggest Iko may be in for a long night if he can't stop Jaius' Exceptional wrestling. Luckily for Iko, albeit the heat of the moment or a lapse in judgement for Jaius but his Exceptional wrestling was hardly attempted. Because of this, he got completely lit up on the feet and busted up throughout forcing the ref to stop the fight at the 4:58 mark of the 3rd round. Really ref? It's Blood freakin' Night XXX! Hopefully someone walks him to his car later or the crowd in attendance may continue to paint the town red.

The last fight I wanted to highlight featured two young pups looking to make a name for themselves; Billy Marques and Josh "The Dentist" Neer. And that's what events like this are all about; gaining experience while rising through the ranks. We can't all become stars overnight...unless your name is Conor Mc-fookin'-Gregor but I digress. Let's get back to Billy, coming in to the fight with his back against the wall losing his last two, he knew exactly what he had to do. Clinch, Takedown, Sub, Sub, Sub. No, I didn't just put in a cheat code, that was just the solution to the problem known as Josh Neer. Billy Marques walks away with the Submission of the Night bonus for his Rear Naked Choke while Neer walks away with a towel covering his head after that disappointing performance.

And that about wraps it up for this Review, hope everyone enjoyed the night of fights and had a bloody good time. See what I did there? Anyways...onwards and upwards, OFC 242: Stranger Things takes place this Wednesday followed by our Holiday Special on Christmas! And on that subject, make sure you leave out some cookies n milk for Santa along with some Wiser's n Pepsi for the King! All joking aside though, for the Holiday season; Eat Good, enjoy the time spent with loved ones and most importantly Stay Safe, Don't drink n drive!

King Out.

OFC 242: Stranger Things REVIEW

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1481398466ofc242.jpg

Before reading any further, I highly recommend setting the tone for tonight's recap of fights by playing the New Order song Elegia. Loved the way it was used in the show Stranger Things, which tonight's event was appropriately named after. And if you've yet to see that show then stop what you're doing immediately, get one of your friend's Netflix login's and drink it in maaaan! Now that that is out of the way, let's get in to what the people came to see and what went down at OFC 242: Stranger Things. Without further ado, let's run it all back with a Full Review!

Our main card and main event of the evening had a, pardon the pun, 'heavy' focus on the Heavyweight division. Our headliners were two similarly skilled fighters currently on two different trajectories. MMAHelsinki vet Derp Wyatt coming in off of a recent Knockout of the Night performance and Shane "THE IMMORTAL" Carmen looking to right the ship after a couple recent stoppage losses. A colleague of mine actually tapped me on the shoulder before the fight began to note that Carmen was originally booked for Blood Night XXX because 5 of his 11 losses were due to Cut stoppages. Could this be a sign of things to come, going up against a solid striker like Wyatt?

The short answer: Yes. Within seconds, Wyatt came out swinging with a 3 punch combo, busting Carmen open in the process. Carmen proceeded to do what any game fighter does and bit down on his mouthpiece and threw back a few of his own. However, they came off more like a younger brother trying to prove his toughness to an elder sibling. Wyatt was in his element tonight, continuing to open the flood gates of red stuff and knocking him down all with a smile on his face! Derp then played it safe controlling the rest of the round on cruise control before forcing the doctors to step in, early in the 2nd round.

Wyatt will be moving on to face Cannondale Trail at OFC 249 next month for the recently vacated Heavyweight Championship! While it's back to the drawing board for Carmen who is now on a 3-Fight skid. A step up in competition for one and most likely a step down in competition for the other, it'll be interesting to see how both of these careers progress moving forward.

Our Co-Main Event of the evening featured two Perennial Contenders in the Middlewight Division; Bobby Bishop and Duke Newell. This was one of those fights that were a lot more closely contested than the final scorecards would suggest. These guys are both troopers who are extremely difficult to finish, so it's no surprise that they went the distance at all. After busting Bishop open in the 1st, Newell moved the fight to the clinch which seemed to be his undoing. It was almost like a Venus fly trap presenting some nectar on a silver platter before pulling the rug up from under him. Newell had a comeback moment in the 2nd gaining control of Bishop's back and delivering a full-on Brock Lesnar Suplex! You could hear the crowd gasp as many in attendance took notice of the way Bishop landed. Still managing to take the round, Bishop went back to his gameplan working the Clinch Kryptonite on his way to a Unanimous Decision Victory.

Next on the docket for Bishop sees the Middleweight going for Gold against recently signed Darren "Hurt" Lockyer at our New Year's Eve show; OFC 245: Reclaim. I don't know about you guys but I feel like history's going to be made that night. Early Oddsmakers have Lockyer as the slight favorite but MMATycoon can be compared to Big Brother sometimes; "Expect the Unexpected"...hmm wait a second, does that make me the OFC's Julie Chen?

Let's discuss our Knockout of the Night Award winner; Oleksandr Usyk. Man, this was a star making performance in my humble opinion. Ignoring the record, Piotr Smietana is no joke, and Usyk had his way with him. Knocking him down and rocking him in the first round before throwing the mother of all uppercuts that could challenge the strength of Thor's Hammer and putting Piotr to sleep. I think our commentary team said what we were all thinking best; "What a finish! You have to wonder if Smietana will ever be the same after a knockout like that." Mark my words, Oleksandr Usyk is a fighter to watch in the Heavyweight division moving forward, I know I will be!

I also wanted to show some love to our other Award winners on the night. Falling behind on the scorecards early, Simon Voilier was a man on a mission for the final 10 minutes, looking for a consecutive Submission of the Night Bonus like a miner searching for Gold. After getting Shepherd's back and locking in his hooks, Simon did just that, coming away with an impressive Rear Naked Choke Submission Victory. And finally, we saw two of the youngest fighters on the OFC roster looking to gain experience at each other's expense. Featherweight Jhon "Big Haer" Lineker thought he had Eddie Dean's number early, but I guess you could say, he *69'd his ass. After getting dropped in the opening seconds, Lineker got Dean to the floor, and delivered relentless ground n pound leading to a win that would make a young Tito Ortiz or Chael Sonnen proud.

And that about wraps it up for the OFC 242: Stranger Things review! Going to be a busy rest of the week, so I hope everyone has an Awesome Christmas, enjoy the time off whether you work or go to school and try to be extra kind this Holiday Season! Eat good, Get Drunk (if you're old enough!), spend some extra time with your loved ones and most importantly; Stay Safe, Don't drink n drive! The OFC will be back Christmas evening with an exciting night of fights and I'll be back with a full review for you guys on Boxing Day. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

OFC 243: Black Christmas V REVIEW

http://mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1481505401ofc243.jpg

As you lace up your gloves and plow through the crowds at Boxing Day Sales Events, we've got you covered like Christmas Dinner leftovers as we recap what went down at OFC 243: Black Christmas V! Hope everyone had an awesome Holiday and got everything they asked for! But while we were busy stuffing our faces and funneling eggnog, there were fighters punching faces and finishing like Big Nog! Without further ado, let's run it all back with a Full Review!

Let's start with what Santa gave us for a Main Event; Featherweights Gurney Halleck and Kano Hokichi. So much talent in these 145 frames, yet both came in to this fight looking for a Christmas Miracle in order to turn their careers around. I actually gave Hokichi the edge in the standup and that seemed to be the case in the early goings as he came out aggressive with some carefully placed crisp kicks. However Halleck stood his ground, it was almost like pride was on the line as both men refused to back down to the other. Not sure if it was because of pressure or the body work of Halleck but Hokichi's gas tank seemed to empty quickly. The first four minutes of this fight may have felt like Championship rounds in Mexico City with the sheer volume these guys were putting out there...

It was halfway through the final minute of the first round before one of these men finally broke, it was only a matter of time after the pace these two set. Showcasing what proper Striking Defense looks like, Halleck sporting an injured leg n all, waited for an opening and pounced like a panther delivering the Knockout of the Night! And what a Knockout it was, a straight punch connecting perfectly on Hokichi's jaw and knocking him out cold...Wow! It's right back to the gym though for Halleck as he now meets Krejzi Kure at OFC 250: Glorious! As Joe Rogan would say; "It's going to be Fireworks!"

Our Co-Main Event in the Sold Out (Don't these people have families?) Hard Knocks arena featured Middleweights; Judge LaCrosse and Modus Ponens in what proved to be the Fight of the Night! I know it's Christmas and the giving season n all, but man, Ponens' Coaches really should have informed him this isn't a blood drive charity event. Or LaCrosse may have just revealed his darkest secret that he's actually a Vampire as he was clearly blood thirsty the entire first round. Once LaCrosse got the clinch, he threw his elbows like Jason's Machete. After getting Rocked n Dropped, Ponens did what he does best and brought the fight to the ground while he came to his senses. As the first round drew to a close, the crowd were on their feet applauding the action. 2nd Round saw Ponens go back to the wrasslin' and work some GNP. Hey, if it's not broken, don't fix it. One round a piece going in to the final frame. Less then a minute in and Judge LaCrosse concluded this horror film of a fight with the final killshot coming in the form of his Deadly Elbow. The Doctor had seen enough and so had we, who knows if Ponens will ever return for the sequel. Hey, What ever happened to stand alone films in the Horror genre?

Next up we've got two weathered Veterans who've seen everything this sport has to offer, Welterweights; Jay Hunter and Rab Rehab. Combining for more than 140 fights, I love when two Experienced Warriors come together for fights like this. Hunter was determined to Aim High Willis, repeatedly throwing Head Kicks like a cutout of his childhood bully had been pasted on Rehab's face. You can only block so face Kicks with your head before you go down and Ke$ha's yelling Timber. Earning the Co-Knockout of the Night, Hunter found an Extra 5k in his Stocking for the impressive performance.

Our last Award, Submission of the Night went to Cono McGregor, capturing the Victory by Kimura at the 4:59 mark of the first round. Cono now rides a 3 fight win streak for the first time in his career. Now in the final year of his 20's (make the most of 'em!) he may have just found his stride and identity in the fight game. It'll be interesting to see if he can carry this momentum moving forward, early talks are in place to have him take on newly recruited Knuckles OToole at OFC 250: Glorious!

And that's all Folks! As the year winds down, the OFC is gearing up for a History making year in 2017. OFC 244: Parlay REVIEW

http://mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1482011238ofc244.jpg

Ah, that bit between Christmas and the New Year where you don't know what day it is, who you are or what you are supposed to be doing. To help you deal, but not like a pusher, the OFC was back with another exciting night of fights which helped us move up 5 positions in the Global Rankings! Maybe it was the fact that, unlike Ronda, our fighters openly spoke with the press all week. *Shots Fired* Without further ado, let's run it all back with a Full Review!

GSP. Matt Hughes. Nick Diaz. Robbie Lawler. Last night's main eventers; Andy Barclay and Jack Patton were trying to stake their claim as one of the true Welterweight Greats like the names listed above. No Gold was on the line, but if you're headlining an OFC Event, you know you gotta be close. Patton was the superior Boxer on paper while Barclay's Muay Thai is among the best in the Division, so it was interesting to see who would get the better of the Standup. Patton had a promising start busting Barclay open with a head kick but the blood seemed to wake up the beast much like a Diego Sanchez fight. Barclay connected clean with a right hook early but Patton recovered quickly. Both men came to fight but it was clear Barclay took the 1st round, opening up Patton near the end of the round with a cut of his own.

As both men stood up from their stools for the 2nd Round, you could tell right away something was off. Barclay had a look of Hunger in his eyes while Patton seemed to have doubt in his...it was almost like an obese competitive eater going up against a munchkin with an eating disorder at this point...or maybe I was just reading too much in to it. Either way, Patton was immediately popped by a jab followed by a Superman Punch which would make Soulja Boy proud, dropped like a bad habit. Obvious choice for Knockout of the Night and Andy Barclay now moves to 26-13-1 with his 3rd consecutive victory. The future looks bright for the 5th Beatle here in the OFC!

Our co-main event featured Featherweights; Marlo Stanfield the knockout artist and Julian Reis the submission specialist. Marlo was coming off of the biggest win of his career while Reis was looking to hijack his momentum like the premise for Speed. Marlo came out swinging but was taken down quicker than CM Punk. Doing what he does best, Reis went for an arm like an alligator lunging for someone trying to pet it. Luckily for Marlo, his defensive training began to pay for itself as he got the fight back to the feet and worked some combos. After getting cut and rocked, Reis got the fight to the floor for a moment but at this point, Marlo was too slippery and he was still too out of it. The conclusion came when Marlo bounced Reis off the cage and caught him with a leaping lead hook when he returned. Lights Out...but better than the movie.

Our Submission Performance bonus went to the Underdog feel good story of the night; Jer Bear. Now riding a 3 Fight Win Streak, he took out highly touted Luca Fietsora by way of armbar. Fights like this show just how important masterful slider settings are...Uh Oh, I think I just broke the 4th wall Deadpool style. Knowing he was at a disadvantage in the standup, from the clinch Bear actually pulled guard where he was more well versed and in his element. The risk was certainly rewarded with some extra coin and he now meets another OFC 244 award winner which I am about to highlight in the next paragraph, in what is sure to be a title eliminator fight.

Fight of the Night. A prestigious award which is often presented to those who leave it all out there as they emerge from the battlefield sporting war wounds...and sometimes a Fight of the Night lasts only a matter of seconds. Thus was the case with Heavyweights Cam Newton and Paul Daniels. Sensational Boxer versus Elite Kickboxer. After busting each other open in the opening seconds, Daniels caught Cam with a massive head kick that wobbled him before unleashing a combo of bombs that would make Mike Tyson proud. Daniels' stocks are through the roof at this point, the killer instinct he showed is usually only showcased from the Greats in the Sport...might just be a sign of things to come as he can't be more then a win or two away from a shot at OFC gold.

Speaking of OFC Gold, I love me a good segue...4 Titles will be on the line New Year's Eve for OFC 245: Reclaim. Taking place at the Expo right here in Montreal, this event is going to be a game changer. Then we're back the very next day, to kick 2017 off right! A lot to look forward to this weekend and don't forget UFC 207 is on Friday, obviously they didn't want to compete with our show for ratings. So Happy New Year's Everybody, wishing you guys nothing but the best in 2017! Have fun with your Celebration's, don't drink n drive and I'll be back with a double recap soon. Cheers!
