While it may not solve all of the problems, I fail to see where added skill points at fighter creation would negatively impact the game. Am I missing something there? How does it "lower the bottom line of the owners"? You have to admit when creating a new fighter, putting him into fights immediately DOES negatively impact his potential and you lose out on the fastest learning speeds fighters have at their youngest age. Not to mention the fighters suck. So instead of training them for 2-3 months (minimum - likely more often like 9-12 months) real time and potentially losing new managers who think the wait sucks, why not simply give them the skill points up front? That way, you can choose to fight with them right away and you'll be more apt to realize that fighter's full potential/skill total.
