    • CHAMPION VS. CHAMPION TOURNAMENT OVERVIEW OPENWEIGHT CHAMPION TOURNAMENT! A. BO MCGUIRE VS. CASE STEELE B. TYLER COMPTON VS. CALVIN GREEN C. MR. SANDMAN VS. SHILIN LI D. TAKASHI ASAI VS. BYE   ROUND 1 BO MCGUIRE VS. CASE STEELE McGuire (5-1) is the Heavyweight Champion who avenged his one lone loss in a rematch for the title taking out Ed Kemper by TKO. McGuire will obviously be the biggest man in the tournament and will be a very dangerous and strong fighter mixing his stand up and clinch game. Steele (5-1) is the 145 LB Champion who also avenged his lone loss in the divisional title fight versus head kick specialist Mikko Rantanen. Steele is also powerful and fights a dirty clinch game as well, but will be well undersized compared to McGuire. The speed and agility of Steele will be his biggest advantage, and may look to strategize differently in this contest. Both are tough as nails, and it could come down to which one has the best gameplan. Prediction: Bo McGuire TYLER COMPTON VS. CALVIN GREEN Compton (6-0) is the 155 LB Champion who has yet to taste defeat winning the title with 2nd place Leafy Seadragon by decision. Compton relies heavily in the stand up with using high volume from a distance and in the clinch. He reminds me of Nick Diaz in that regards. Green (7-0) is the 135 LB Champion who also has not been defeated. Green rematched Grave Robber winning a 10 min decision but dominated his opponent. Similar to Compton he puts out high volume striking keeping his distance and landing high percentage strikes as well to the body. This match up is going to be decided between two high volume strikers, but Compton has the advantage with size and reach, Strength and accuracy play a huge part in this strategy. Prediction: Tyler Compton   MR. SANDMAN VS. SHILIN LI Sandman (6-0) is the 205 LB Champion and stayed undefeated when he took out rising star Aiguo Li by strikes in the title fight. Sandman is ruthless in his stand up striking with power and accuracy. Shilin Li (6-0) is the 170 LB Champion who is more of a mauler with ground and pound tendencies, this is a classic grappler vs striker set up and will come down to if Sandman can stay off his ass and keep Li away to pick him apart or if Li can smother Sandman into the ground. Of all the matches this is the toughest to call, but will go with an upset here. Prediction: Shilin Li TAKASHI ASAI VS. BYE Takashi Asai (6-0) took his rematch against Markus Wachter in the title fight and secured his victory. Dangerous striker who has the tendency to inflict massive damage with timed strikes. He won't overwhelm his opponents with volume as much as countering their mistakes. He is effective against the clinch and has yet to taste defeat. Asai is the 185 LB Champion and will face the winner of McGuire vs. Steele in the Semifinals.

    • both added! that means we need 1 more for this tourney to start with 1 round robin bracket!   for the sake of transparency at 10-14 fighters, we have 1 bracket. at 16, we get 2 brackets. at any odd number above 10, i'll drop myself out to make things even
