Weekend Undefeated Results This weekend undefeated fighters went 7-0 in a perfect weekend! Swag Sitsongrit (398614) moves to 13-0 with an impressive 3rd round TKO victory against Grov. Swag was the cleaner striker and had success countering throughout landing the heavier blows where he dropped and rocked Grov, Grov did mix in the wrestling where he had success landing takedowns but Swag did well to escape and control positions on the ground. Ultimately it was Swag's volume and power on the feet which secured the finish where Grov was starting to be more reckless shooting and failing tds and Swag dropped and finished Grov with strikes. Not sure what is next for Swag not a lot of fights to make in his current org at this time but with a 13-0 record whatever is next Swag will have the momentum! "The Vung Tau Tiger" Jimmy Nguyen (395020) puts on a career best performance moving to 12-0-1 against the elite Enqvist via unanimous decision. Nguyen showcased his elite boxing having success throughout the fight on the feet and threatened with the takedown but this one was won on the feet thanks to that boxing of Nguyen winning every round with Enqvist struggling to find much success on the feet thanks to the defensive work of Nguyen. With this victory Nguyen moves into top 70 PFP next up a title shot makes the most sense and Jimmy proved tonight he deserves just that. Rory "Raver" Curtis (408077) continues with his title defenses and extends his record to 12-0 matching that record achieved by his father in MMA "The Farmer" Isaac Curtis (284377). Early on it was Diaz who found success defending multiple takedown attempts and having relative success with his striking although Curtis showcased his striking defense and eventually found that and from there it was the beginning of the end as Curtis locked in the americana forcing the technical submission after the ref mercifully stopped the sub after a scream from Diaz... Brutal stuff by Curtis who already has his next challenge awaiting. Mr Sandman (407195) moves to 12-0 with a dominant performance where Sandman took the fight to the clinch, then the ground and finally finished with gnp for the first round finish. Respect to Compton taking the fight but as a lightweight taking on such an elite light heavyweight the odds were always stacked against him, now Sandman moves into the final in another undefeated clash! Tout Petit Gigante (409524) continues his first round submission finish streak moving to 12-0 against Mitchell. Tout found the takedown early and then hunted for the sub, Mitchell did well to stay calm and look for opening to get in better positions and try subs of his own but eventually the relentless pressure of Tout was too much where from half guard Tout locked in the guillotine adjusted to full guard and forced the tap. Next up Tout will be fighting for the UFF title but more on that on next weekend's breakdown . Moving over to KT the number 1 ranked finisher "The Hollow" Lerouch Vanitis (407575) defended his title and moved to 9-0 with another finish this time in a late comeback. This time it was Ballamer slightly edging the rounds in what was a kickboxing fight exclusively with the arms where punches and elbows were traded only, as mentioned it was Ballamer with the slight advantage in all competitive rounds but Vanitis made it his mission to cut Ballamer with brutal elbows and that cut only got worse as the fight went on until in the 4th the ref saw enough of that gash and stopped the fight. Although Ballamer may feel hard done by it was a good stoppage and a epic comeback victory for the finish King of kickboxing. Cesar Borges (406762) becomes the sole TWGC number 1 undefeated fighter moving to 11-0 via RNC, even with a near 100lbs weight disadvantage Cesar had success with transitioning frequently finding dominant positions and eventually found the back and locked in the RNC for the sub victory. Impressive stuff from the TWGC King! That's it for this weekend, very stacked and every undefeated fighter delivered and continued their winning ways.
