    • ROUND 2 RESULTS Round 2 is now over but there is still a very long way to go. Thirteen more rounds of hell in fact and if I didn’t mention before, one of the things of the Swizz tournament is that fighters shall never face each other twice. That means that a poor match up against a boogieman opponent need not be anything other than a bad dream and not a reoccurring nightmare. Freaky Fernando kept the party going after handing Gaetano Villacci his first loss of the tournament. Villacci was certainly no pushover however and stubbornly refused to be put away leaving the judges to make a decision and the crowd happy with the efforts of the fighters. The bout won Fight of the Night honours. Minor Cuevas made a big statement in the tournament as he KO’d granite chinned Tyler Durden in the third round and moved to 2-0. He also picked up KO of the Night along the way. Alfred Winterbottom fighter Terry Farley took his rightful place at the top of the table (*joint 1st) following a tough decision victory over Polish fighter Jedrek Piotrowicz. That poor Asian Guy once again showed great determination in his quest to get his passport back and return to his family as he tapped out Jasur Ordilovokov in the first round. Clearly not a hugging kind of guy, Dario Juan Pablo made short work of the simple Sancho Bandito was another quick submission victory in the first round. Not quite as quick as his earlier victory which still holds as the tournaments fastest finish at eight seconds. He also managed to take possession of the hot potato title on offer. Will he manage to keep hold of it all the way to the end? Chadwick Raffelburg picked up his first victory of the tournament and took another steaming dump on tournament favourite Frankmaster Phlex competition hopes. Phlex, who some speculate started the rumour of a having a granite chin himself, really needs to get himself together if he is to live up to the expectations put upon him at the start of the tournament. Seth Christian made it look simple as he took brawler Ben Barnes out of his comfort zone and down to the ground. From there Barnes was a sitting duck and Christian took full advantage picking up the submission win in just under two minutes. A similar result for BJJ Brown Belt Luis Caixinha in his bout against Muay Thai specialist Juan Pablo Estrella. Fighter Big Boss clearly making a play for the quickest finish prize in his bout against Smooth Booby Soul, getting the submission win in just thirty-two seconds. The quick result clearly impressed the fans who rated the finish highly earning Boss the Submission of the Night award. Lastly, Oscar Bukele showed himself to be more of a ground and pounder than sub hunter as he battered Jaiden Montgomery for the win in a little under two minutes of the first round. In terms of the Prize Leaderboard, Minor Cuevas takes the top spot with most KO’s at 2/2 whereas in the submission department Asian Guy and Dario Juan Pablo both share the top again with 2/2. Dario Juan Pablo’s eight second submission still stands as the quickest of the tournament so far as well he picked up the hot potato title. Both awards would net him a cool two million. As for the coveted most battered bloodbath award, that is currently lead by Juan Pablo Estrella with a combined 18 days of cuts and injuries. Close behind at 16 is Luis Caixinha, Ben Barnes and Jaiden Montgomery. OK folks, on to round three and remember, this is FAR from done. If there’s anything we learned from the Christmas Massacre it’s that things can changed VERY quickly. For better and worse.
