    • Round 13 Recap Another crazy round over and still we have a large handful of fighters still in with a shot at winning the whole thing. The Prize Pool is also extremely competitive and will likely come down to the final round to announce our winners. Title front runner Freaky Fernando was in no mood for funny business this round and came fully prepared to face the threat of “Smooth” Booby Soul. Not a fan of his silky sweet tones, Fernando quickly grabbed ass, butt flopped and cranked that arm like it was a tenor sax! Soul didn’t stand a chance but his handlers did report that the loss inspired Soul who went straight back to the locker room and began penning his new smooth soul hit “Baby, that just wasn’t fair” With the victory, Fernando is now neck and neck with Asian Guy at the top of the table separated only by a pesky tie break. The pressure is now firmly on him going into the next round as he faces a tough opponent in Ben Barnes whilst Asian Guy will have a far less intimidating challenge in Sancho Bandito. For Soul, his run at the title is now officially over but there is still a theoretical shot at third place. He could also, in theory, manage a tie for most KO’s in the tournament should he go on a rampaging KO spree. Ishaan Thornton is a true patriot of the great US of A and was never going to accept a bad result against the evil regime of the CCP and it’s minion Asian Guy. Chants of “USA, USA, USA” drowned out all other noise and despite Asian Guy's protestation that he is actually from Japan, Thornton could be seen snarling “you’re going down CHY-NAH” from inside the cage. Asian Guy gave it his best shot at sticking to the game plan but Thornton was fuelled by the juice of twelve bald eagles and high fructose corn syrup and could not be budged. In the end, it was clear who was getting the decision no matter how the actual fight went but thankfully, the correct man received the correct decision. Thornton gave a brief but rousing post fight speech. Doing his best Iron Sheik impression he simply stated “USA. Number one! CHY-NAH HAWK TUA!!” Despite the loss, Asian Guy still manages to hang on at the top of the table though only by virtue of a single tie break earlier in the tournament. For Thornton, the victory keeps him just within striking distance of the title though he will be relying on those above him dropping all of their respective final match ups. Minor Cuevas joins a growing list of fighters being added to Alfred’s big book of grievances after he thoroughly trounced a vulnerable and injured Terry Farley. The loss marks Farley’s third in a row and effectively eliminates him from any chance of winning the tournament. The post medical also revealed that Farley is basically a lame duck going into his next one so even third place would be a miracle. Thanks Cuevas you SOB! With his selfish act, Minor Cuevas moves to sixth in the table and still has an outside shot of winning. We wish him the least of luck.  The hot potato title prize was on the line in this next one with Oscar Bukele looking to make his first defence against title hunter Chadwick Raffleburg. A fairly important fight in the grand scheme of things and on this occasion it was Bukele who came away victorious. He not only maintains his grip on the hot potato he also moves up into fourth place and is in a great position for a top three finish. A devastating loss for Russleboar who now drops two wins behind the league leaders. He is still in contention for the top spot albeit at much reduced odds than before. For a corpse, Seth Christian put up a surprisingly good fight against bottom dweller Luis Caixhina in their round thirteen clash managing to last until the third round before his shot of adrenaline wore off and his brain stopped working. Somehow, Christian is still not in last place despite losing eight of his last nine. Luckily for him, Caixinha has been performing even worse so this victory was a real treat for him. Unfortuntely for Caixinha, it wasn’t enough to climb off of the bottom spot. Ben Barnes had a nice win against Jasur Ordilovokov as he aims to finish the tournament with a winning record. Currently 13th in the table with a record of 6-7, Barnes will be fighting for pride in his remaining two fights as well as potentially upsetting a few apple carts along the way. Pretty much the same deal for Jasur who currently sits in 15th place with a record of 5-8. The Big Boss, flying high but under the radar! This dark horse fighter lurks in third place in the table with an impressive 9-4 record and is just waiting to slip in the back door past the league leaders should the opportunity arise. He defeated the hug monster Sancho Bandito by submission though it probably took longer than he expected. As well as having a shot at the grand prize, Boss also tops the list for most submissions with nine in total. That’s right folks. Nine wins, nine submissions. Of course, things can change quickly in this game and Boss will need to be at his absolute best for the remaining two rounds. For Sancho, the loss keeps him battling hard to avoid the dreaded last place finish. Someone should probably call a drug testing agency as Juan Pablo Estrella has gone from having one victory in nine fights to winning three out of his last four. Of course, it doesn’t really help him in the league that much but it must feel good to get those W’s. He defeated Gaetano Villacci which is no small feat. Villacci was coming in on a two fight winning streak making the result of this one all the more surprising. Gaetano now drops to 6-7 in record and is effectively out of the running for a top three spot. His best bet at some cash is to now take a couple of dives and hope his cuts and injuries are enough to take him to the top of the brutality table. Inconsistent Tyler Durden manages to keep within distance of a top three finishing spot after his first round KO victory over Jaiden Montgomery. Currently in tenth place with a record of 7-6, Durden will be at the mercy of other results even if he does manage to go out with a bang during his remaining two fights. Still, the chance of a top three spot remains. For his opponent Jaiden Montgomery, this loss marks his second in a row of an overall 4-9 record. Currently in 17th position, Montgomery could be considered to be within the group fighting to avoid last place. Lastly, Jedrek Piotrowicz upset Frankmaster Phlex’s last ditch attempt at the grand prize defeating him over a gruelling three rounds of clinch fighting. The victory doesn’t do too much for Piotrowicz outside of his pride but for Phlex, the loss pushes him a step away from a top three finish. With a 7-6 record there is still hope but it will all come down to outside results as well as his own from here on out
