FIght Rating is really messed up in this game, so I don't pay much attention to it. Smith hit an Americana, which is a harder submission to get than a RNC. I know it is flavor text, but I think it has to be considered. He also lost the first round, so his submission was a come-from-behind victory.

That is taking nothing away from your submission win. You and your opponent were trading submission attempts on the ground, so I actually went back and forth between the two before deciding on his as the winner. It was a close call.

As for criteria: KO and Sub of the Night have many factors that I look at. Here are a few, in no particular order:

What kind of finish was it? Flying Knee is more impressive than Punch. Knee Bar is more impressive than RNC.

How long was the fight? If you have a lightning quick finish, that is impressive.

For submissions, how many attempts did you make? If it was your 25th submission attempt, it is less impressive than your first.

Was the win a come-from-behind? I tend to reward a guy who is getting his ass kicked, but lands a big KO or submission to steal the win.

Copy that,....thank you,.....and NOW I am understanding,.....please understand, I was not trying to undermine your ratings on the match,....just trying to get a grasp on this AWESOME thing that is MMATYCOON. jfyi: excellent handleing of me (by you) on this. Cheers and Cudos to you.

You're kidding right? Your upset cause my fight was crap till the finish then my sub was decent? It's all (or mostly) about the finish. If you had a shit 2 round fight then got a KO off a flying knew in your only strike of the round, wouldn't you expect to at least be in the running for KO OF THE NIGHT compared to the guy who just KO'd somebody by punch?

me,... no not upset, L E A R N I N G more from some, than others

Sorry man, misread how you were asking. In other news;

Enrique St Lawrence is said to be excited about his debut for NEX and is looking forward to Emerson a run for his money. His coaches have been incredibly impressed with his dedication and focus in training not just in the lead up to the bout but since he joined the RISSA camp and can't wait to see how it turns out!

in retrospect: I was proud of Fu for the W, (he's just a kid) any W at this point is a welcome surprise for me.

Sorry Smith, Gotta wait your turn to get Fu'd. Fu has his hands full atm . Jared "Fatty" Donisvitch (249698)

gets to knock the crap outta him first, But I will tell him to prepare a special Fu'n for your man,.....what-ever his name was.

Daniel Milner:

On behalf of my client, I'd like to officially open a challenge to FU - for once he has competed in his next scheduled fight (which of course myself and Smith wish him the best of luck). But until then, it is my wish to keep Smith fighting fight and get him in in-cage action again as soon as possible.

With that being said, for NEX TTT Round 2 or soon, myself and my client would rather like to enjoy our current Intercontinental tour and It has always been my wish to visit Italy. As this is the case calling out a man, who is known as "El Diablo", AntonioDella Appa, to face Ricardo Smith.

It's Tap or Snap and Smith is hungry to claim his 2nd Submission of the Night in similar impresive fashion when he next competes - no matter the opponent.

Thank you for your time gentlemen, that will be all for now.

Phunney, man. I like your style, and while Fu is in NO way looking past his current opponent, your man *Whats-his-name* will make the list: Challenge accepted

Bring your best and lets trade man, stand and bang time!"

The NEX Tag Team tournament semi-finals took place on Saturday night, and what a show it was. Both semi-final matches were splits, meaning this was a razor thin night of exciting fights. Who will advance to the finals? Let's check out the results to see who advances to the finals of this lucrative competition:

Richard Callaghan and John Gites vs Kirk Lazarus and Kingsley Nasir were paired up against each other. Lazarus and Nasir were the only team to win both of their fights in the first round. Could they continue their dominance? Gites took on Lazarus, while Callaghan battled Nasir.

Richard Callaghan vs Kingsley Nasir

These two came in with perhaps the most balanced physical matchup of the tournament so far, with only three pounds separating the fighters. Nasir's strategy seemed to be to wear Callaghan down with body shots, while Callaghan was looking for the KO. Nasir succeeded in getting the fight into the seventh minute, but Callaghan still had enough power remaining to score the TKO win.

John Gites vs Kirk Lazarus

Lazarus had over 100 pounds on Gites, and it showed. He only landed two head kicks in this brief bout, but one of them floored Gites, and the second put him to sleep.

Result: Despite Nasir's loss, Lazarus and Nasir advance to the finals based on Lazarus' lightning fast win.

Tomi Koski and Luivel Romero vs August Beach and Mason Archer was our other semi-final. Koski and Romero were really hoping to make the most of their "lucky loser" second opportuniy. Koski squared off with Beach, while Romero battled Archer.

Tomi Koski vs August Beach

August Beach used devastating leg kicks with some dirty boxing sprinkled in to wear down Koski over the first ten minutes. He went back to the clinch in the second round and that is where he finished it.

Luivel Romero vs Mason Archer

Both men let it all hang out in this one, which resulted in both men bleeding in the first minute. We knew that a slugfest like this couldn't go on for long, and Romero ended it in vicious fashion after seven and a half minutes.

Beach and Archer advance to the second round. Just like the previous semi, these two teams split the matchup 1-1, but Romero's ability to finish faster broke the tie. The Cindarella team on the second chance advances to the finals.

Prelims

Alex Rouge vs Takeshi Fujiwara

Result: Rouge by 1st round KO (Head kick)

Jared Donisvitch vs Qing Fu

Result: Donisvitch by 2nd round TKO (Slam)

Gilles Wolfe vs Hugo Smith

Result: Wolfe by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28)

Ken Halo vs Justin Morgan

Result: Halo by 1st round KO (Punch)

Matt Williams vs Teddy Barton

Result: Williams by 1st round TKO (Strikes)

Caliph James vs Anssi Manninen

Result: James by 2nd round TKO (Strikes)

KO of the Night: Alex Rouge landed a massive head kick that nearly took Morgan's head off.

Sub of the Night: There were no submissions tonight

Fight of the Night: Luivel Romero vs Mason Archer was a back and forth war that went on for almost eight minutes before Archer couldn't take any more punishment.

Smack Talk of the Night: Kanis Lupis got into a real war of words over his fighter Fu and talked his way into a real rivalry with Milner.

All award winners have been given $5000 as a prize.

After Mr. Killmaz introduces you to a *Big* dose of humility, the next time you call somebody *out*, Your Buddy will stand back and laugh at you,. And his quote will sound something like this " You remember that Ass-kick'n you got the last time you *shot your mouth off* ?!" so I look forward to the up-comming contest. "YEAH, lets BANG "

White, Kaho, and Smith all seem like worthy title contenders, as does Tommy Hold, if his manager signs back on. We're going to have ourselves a four man tournament for the belt. If Hold's manager does not log in within the next few days, another worthy competitor will take his spot in the tournament.

NEX TTT Finals

14.06.2014

Hard Knocks (3,000)

Hilo

MMA

Undercard

Lightweight Bout

Antonio Della Appa v Takeshi Fujiwara

For tonight’s start we will get Lightweight Division bout. 18 years old Italian grappler from Livorno- Antonio ‘El Diablo’ Della Appa, will face 25 years old Muay Thai fighter from Tokyo, Japan- Takeshi ‘Chopstix’ Fujiwara. Despite age, Della Appa is the one, who is more experienced. He won in his professional MMA debut, but next 3 fights he lost. And Fujiwara after 2 fights is still without victory. Japanese will surely try to keep that one standing, maybe taking this fight to clinch, where he would be able to hurt his opponent, as Takeshi is very good Muay Thai fighter. But when taken to the ground- Della Appa has proven his grappling skills already. It can be fast fight or good fight, but can’t point the favorite, though.

Undercard

Middleweight Bout

Arthur Halo v Caliph James

Next bout will be between two young, 18 years old rising stars. Englishman from Camelot with professional MMA record of 4 wins and 1 lost- Arthur ‘King’ Halo, will fight tonight against another ‘King’- Caliph James from Long Beach, United States. James is very good boxer, who can turn out to become great, possibly top brawler one day. But if he can have any weaknesses- it seems to be ground game for now. And unfortunately for him- Arthur Halo is specialist in that area, as he has brown BJJ belt, and he has proven that it isn’t only keeping his pants up- he has ended with master class submissions 4 of his 5 professional fights. But question still remains as long as both fighters will be able to fight: Who will remain the true ‘King’ tonight? Who will walk away as ‘Usurper’? We will know tonight!

Undercard

Middleweight Bout

Pedro Azevedo v Mark Kristiansen

In next tonight’s fight, we will be watching 22 years old German fighter from Hamburg, Germany- Pedro ‘Rocha’ Azevedo, and 25 years old Russian boxer from Moscow- Mark ‘The Kristi Killer’ Kristiansen. Azevedo stepped into professional cage already 3 times, but is still without W. And much older Russian has behind him debut with solid TKO on one of minor MMA gala’s. Azevedo seems to be fighter, who can fight in every area except his back, but Mark Kristiansen will be surely looking to highlight his advantages instead of trying to use Azevedo’s weaknesses. Kristiansen has all he needs to dominate this fight with his boxing. Maybe ‘Rocha’ would be able to score some points after putting Russian on his back, but I’m not sure can he handle it that long.

Undercard

Middleweight Bout

Horacio Barnard v Hugo Smith

Another fight of minor 18 years old fighters. Derived from Asuncion, Paraguay Horacio Barnard, owner of 0-2 professional MMA record, will face 0-3 recorded English brawler from Oxford- Hugo ‘Boss’ Barnard. It’s very hard to predict fights like this, as both fighters seem to not find their styles in cage, yet. They don’t feel natural there, they can’t make their first, hard step into new world. And tonight one of them can get pass through. But who will be the lucky guy? Muay Thai fighter from Paraguay or brawler from England? In stand up, I think that it can go both ways, but taken to the ground- maybe both fighters aren’t specialists there, but Barnard after putting Smith on his back can score some points. Everything other is mistery.

Undercard

Heavyweight Bout

Stu Grimson v Ken Halo

Let the big men go through! This is what tigers like the most- Heavyweight Division. And additionally, the fighters participating are good enough to get goose-flesh from waiting. 18 years old Muay Thai talent from Vancouver, Canada- Stu ‘The Grim Reaper’ Grimson, will face another 18 years old fighter- ‘Bro’ Ken Halo, boxer from United States. Announcement seems to be enough to let s know, that this know will be surely kept standing and that it should be very entertaining. But I think that less experienced Canadian is a little bigger favorite- he should look to clinch Halo, where he could dominate, and also hurt his opponent in striking distance. But if there is someone, who can handle this tactic and answer deadly- it’s definitely American boxer. It’s really ‘must see’ kind of fight.

Main Card

Middleweight Bout

Teddy Barton v Yogi Dhamma

First fight of tonight’s Main Card: 21 years old Mancunian from United Kingdom- Teddy ‘Bartitsu Bitch’ Barton, will face great talent from Nirvana, Bahamas- Yogi ‘The Peaceful Warrior’ Dhamma. Barton seems to be solid fighter, but he shouldn’t be sure to stay on his feet in this fight- Dhamma is world class grappler, he will find the way to take this to the ground surely. And over there he just have to end it by submission. I wish to see it more entertaining, but I’m afraid that it is how reality looks.

Main Card

Lightweight Bout

Castor Dramabringer v Jason Jones

Next Main Card’s fight is something special- the clash of two 18 years old Lightweight wrestlers, who stepped into MMA world enough well to whip up big expectations around themselves. Derived from Highland, Sweden- Castor ‘The Scalded Beaver’ Dramabringer, and Jason ‘Thunder’ Jones from New York, United States. They both are very gifted wrestlers, but Dramabringer is the one who seems to be a little better. But this is MMA, and in the other hand, if someone can make anything from his back- it’s Jason Jones. And he is the one, who in his present fights were active, instead just scoring by clear wrestling actions attempts. If Jones would have enough what is needed to take over domination in this fight, I think that he can score with some grappling and maybe even submit Swedish warrior.

Main Card

Middleweight Bout

Matt Andersson v Eddie Barbaros

Another mistery in tonight’s event. 25 years old Swedish all-rounded fighter from Trelleborg- Matt ‘Animal’ Andersson, will face also 25 years old fighter from Sao Paulo, Brazil- Eddie ‘The Barbarian’ Barbaros. Why we don’t know what to except from Andersson, we know that Barbaros is quite unusual connection of wrestler, who focused on Muay Thai after turning his career into MMA track. And bigger specialization might be something what can give the W to Brasilian. But. But it can turn out, that Andersson will be able to defend on the ground and score some standing also? We can’t know before we will see in upcoming event.

Co-Main Event

New Era Extreme Tag Team Tournament Finals

Tomi Koski v Kingsley Nasir

And this is where last month leads- The Finals. 41 years old MMA veteran from Jyvaskyla, Finland- Tomi ‘Felix’ Koski, will clash with much younger, 25 years old Belarussian from Boomtown- Kingsley Nasir. Despite advanced age, Koski is still one of best fighters around the world. And his tonight’s opponent despite his great all-rounded skills, is very unstable fighter, who can beat anyone, but also keeps losing from time to time. We can prepare for spectacular fight of two great fighters, but Koski is the one, who has more to take the W home. While Nasir is expert in nearly every area, Koski seems to be just better in each of them. And he can additionally dominate on the ground and destroy his opponent in clinch. Nasir is also great fighter, but if You add to it difference in experience between those two warriors- I think that Koski is quite clear favorite, but Nasir surely isn’t ‘Underdog’, who can’t make surprise and came home in glory.

Main Event

New Era Extreme Tag Team Tournament Finals

Luivel Romero v Kirk Lazarus

In second fight of The Finals, we will be witnessing another fight with big experience difference. 29 years old fighter from Cayo Coco, Cuba- Luivel Romero, will face 25 years old Austrian, from Boomtown- Kirk Lazarus. Again we can say that Lazarus is great in everything what is needed in the cage, but Romero seems to be just better. But as it’s top level fight, both fighters just have all what is enough to win against any fighter, who will step into the cage to another corner. Lazarus has proven value of his mighty kicks and it seems to be his revealed secret weapon, of which Romero must be surely aware of- one click and you’re out. But Luivel can answer with the same weapon, and some more. That’s why I name him favorite tonight.

Pedro Azevedo thinks he can beat Mark Kristiansen? WELL I'M AFRAID I'VE GOT SOME BAD NEWS.. See, We've been training really hard, going over strategy and such, and we've concluded that we have a great chance of defeating Pedro. Even the writer knows Pedro is no match for "The Kristi Killer" At NEX TTT Finals, Pedro Azevedo will REST. IN. PEACE.
